The Hiker’s Secret To Success

“Drop by drop the tub fills. The journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step. Just keep taking steps. Look at what is near and in front of you, not at the distance to traverse. Stay present and immediate. You will get there as you do. Stay focused and enjoy the journey.

You look only a couple feet ahead. On the ground in front of you. The journey becomes possible. All you have to do is take the next step. Hikers know this. Bikers know this. Don’t look at the top of the hill you must get to. Look at the next few steps or feet you take now.

You distant goal you keep in mind. What you look at are the things you can do right now that move you closer. Stop noticing the distance between you and your goal and focus on taking each immediate step. You will get there! Simply keep going. Focus. Focus.

Standing Is Harder Than Moving – Drop By Drop The Tub Fills

Focus on what to do now, not on how great the distance is. You narrow the distance with each step you take. This is the sweet spot. What you presently accomplish that gets you closer to your ultimate goal. Continue in this way and you will get there. Meanwhile, enjoy the journey and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

  1. Using this exact method you share here is exactly what I have done to get one impossible dream after another over and over again. It always works.
Thanks for sharing Rex. May all your impossible dreams appear or as Disney had painted on the walls of his employees offices: Dream it, Do it.
