You Always Get What You Ask For!

“You always get what you ask for. Whatever you ask for is what you deserve. Some ask for plenty. Some ask for little. Some don’t ask at all? What are you asking for? What is your worth? Consider this important lesson. ‘Ask and you shall receive.’ What have you got?

Napoleon Hill found it important enough to publish this poem by Jesse B. Rittenhouse, in his best selling book, ‘Think And Grow Rich.’ I share the poem with you today. Hopefully, you will reflect on it, take it to heart and determine how it might apply to you.

‘I bargained with Life for a penny,
And Life would pay no more,
However I begged at evening
When I counted my scanty store;

For Life is a just employer
He gives just what you ask,
But once you have set the wages,
Why, you must bear the task.

I worked for a menial’s hire,
Only to learn, dismayed,
That any wage I had asked of Life,
Life would have paid.’
