You Can Pretend Anything And Master It

“‘If you take intellectual knowledge that you learn as a philosophy, and then initiate that knowledge into your life by applying it enough times until you master it, you ultimately move from being a philosopher to an initiate to a master.’ Dr. Joe Dispenza.

He states there is ‘sound scientific evidence that this is possible.’ I love Joe’s work and if you are not familiar with it you should be. Do a search. It’s worthwhile. The famous hypnotherapist, Milton Erickson was fond of saying, ‘You can pretend anything and master it.’

So what is this mastery these fine gentleman speak of? It is applying what you know until it is automatic and reliable. You don’t have to think about it. It is YOU! It is natural for you. You have wired it in and it has become a habit. Habits operate unconsciously.

The More You Do The More You Can Do

Use the information you are gathering to transform yourself by applying it. Without application, you benefit little from the information itself. Knowledge doesn’t change people, but applied knowledge can. To know and not to do, is to not know at all.

Skill or mastery comes from spaced repetition of correct practice, consistently, for a long enough duration of time, to become habit. Habit makes it second nature, reliable and automatic. You can master anything given dedication, correct practice and repetition.

If you meditate daily or visualize you will get better and better. If you affirm or direct your mind with questions you will get better at it. When you think positive in the face of difficulty you will improve. The same is true of swimming, skiing, juggling, playing piano. Get it?

What We Ultimately Do With Ease We First Do With Difficulty

What you practice you get better at it. Without practice you won’t. So practice your attitude and gratefulness. Build success habits and you will become more successful. Build happiness habits. Most people habitually live ho-hum, so-so lives of worry and frustration.

You don’t have to. You can change and transform yourself. You can learn to create your best life ever. Practice gratitude. Practice being delighted. Practice having fun. If you don’t feel it at first, pretend you do and you will master that. Get it? Do it! Practice and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

What Really Is The Law Of Attraction?

“The Law of Attraction is only a name and a bad one. Actually, the name isn’t the problem, it is what people think the name means. Many people think it means sitting in your room fantasizing for wealth and things. This is the issue with the concept. It is not that.

The same is the case with Positive Thinking. It too, has gotten a bad wrap. Positive Thinking does not mean going naively through life, wearing blinders and ignoring things that are happening, in favor of airy fairy platitudes. It isn’t about that at all.  Not at all! NOT at all!

Positive Thinking is maintaining a positive, ‘can-do’ mindset in the face of difficulty. It is solution focused. Someone always says, ‘yeah, you can think you can fly all you want, but gravity will prove you wrong.’ That is the issue. That isn’t positive thinking. It is foolish.

Believe In What You Want So Much You Actually Make It Happen

Positive Thinking is not thinking, ‘there are no weeds’. It is recognizing that you can take care of them. It is recognizing that you can successfully tend the garden. You can find the tools, and learn how if necessary, and enlist others too, if needed, but, you can do it.

Gravity is a law, as is the Law of Attraction. We work with the laws not against them. Laws mean they operate whether you believe they do or not. Hence, whether you think you can fly or not, gravity has an answer for you. However, positive thinkers were able to fly.

They worked with gravity and the principle of lift to overcome gravity’s force and propel a vehicle into the air. Had they not thought positively, that they could do this, that it might be possible, it would have never happened! They found solutions. They persisted.

Whether You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Rigth

The Law of Attraction, is one of a number of laws about the nature of human kind and consciousness. Together, these laws represent a system and a science for making thing happen. It is Cause and Effect, another law, and not airy fairy magic. If you work it right, it works.

Just as the Wright Brothers were able to work a plane up into the air, my explantations are the nuts and bolts to transforming yourself, shifting what you are doing on the inside, to get the results you want on the inside and the outside. Apply them and you will transform.

Do nothing and nothing will change, much. In order to change your life you must change things in your life. There is also the Law Of Action. Together with Positive Thinking and the Law Of Attraction you can become powerful and unstoppable. You can do it. Truly!

Thoughts Become Things – What You Focus On Expands

You can make things happen. You can be, do and have, anything you want, within reason, for yourself. As Napoleon Hill said, ‘If you can conceive it, and believe it, you can achieve it.’ That means you are doing it. Conceiving, believing and achieving are action steps.

Why do I say within reason? Because you don’t circumvent the Law of Gravity as  suggested in the previous example. Be realistic! Work with the laws. Put the laws to work and you will discover and incredible universe opens up to you. Do it! Discover for yourself! AND celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Who And What Are You Inviting Into You Life

“How is your life going? If it is not what you want it to be ,you want to consider what you are inviting or allowing in. Whatever you focus on, you give your attention to, your energy to, and you continue to enhance or amplify or perpetuate it. This is crucial to understand!

Whatever you focus on, you invite. You amplify. You perpetuate! Where your concentration is, where your mind is most of the day and night and how you feel, determines how you move through the world. It determines whether you get more goodness or not.

You don’t have to think in terms of Law Of Attraction. It isn’t anything ‘woo woo’. It is actually based in science. One simple example is the Law Of Cause and Effect. For every cause there is an equal and opposite effect. Your thoughts have an effect.

You Are Today Where Your Thoughts Have Brought You

If you push someone the person’s body responds. They may push back. Water under concentrated pressure can cut through rock. There is always an effect. If you think negatively, you will get more of the same. If you think positively, you will get more of the same.

What you aren’t likely to get is this: If you think negatively you won’t get positivity. Consider your thinking an invitation. Whatever you think, you invite more of. If you think ‘I am broke. I want money.’ You are essentially thinking, ‘Money doesn’t come to me.’

You aren’t inviting it by thinking of what you do not have. You aren’t attracting or creating money by thinking about what you don’t have or don’t want. Do you get this? You must think, concentrate and focus on that which you do want, without inviting the opposite.

Tomorrow You Will Be Where Your Thoughts Today Take You

If you think, ‘I want money because I don’t have any’ you’re thinking about what you don’t want. You’re thinking about the scarcity or lack of money. The same is true of love, romance, friendship, health or anything you desire. You attract or create what you focus on.

In order to get what you want, you need to focus on what you want and feel good about it. The good feelings drive the show. You want more good feelings. Feel good now. Think and do those positive things that help you feel your best, right now, in the present!

Good feelings create more good feelings. Get it? So celebrate what you have. Enjoy and delight in it. Feel good about it. Be thankful and appreciative. Be lighthearted. Live carefree. Know that all is well. This is how to create more goodness. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

What Ben Franklin Said You Should Know And Why

“What did old Ben Franklin say that is so profound? He said many important and useful things. The point he makes in this brief statement is one we should carry with us, in our hearts and minds, all the time. Remember and use it to make an incredible difference.

‘Do not anticipate trouble or worry about what may never happen. Keep in the sunlight.” Benjamin Franklin

What an important message! Keep in the sunlight. Stop anticipating trouble or worry. Live light and trouble free. Your worst worries may never come to pass. Live without them. Live carefree. Live with light, love and joy. Everything is perfect. I like it! What about you?

Worrying Will Never Change The Outcome

Everything is perfect even when it seems as if it isn’t. It provides contrast. To know warmth, you must know cold. To know light you, must know dark. Everything either provides you joy or contrast. Once you recognize that whatever is happening, is as it is.

It is a blessing! Everything is perfect, just as it should be. Your worries, your fears, your concerns will pass. They are transitory. As day gives way to night, night gives way to day. Problems are temporary. Love and enjoy each moment. No matter what.

It is all good, even when it appears it isn’t. There is truly nothing to worry about. There is nothing to fear. Remember, it is all illusion, ‘maya’, and we don’t have all the information at this moment. We can’t see what hasn’t arrived yet.

Difficult Roads Often Lead To The Most Beautiful Destinations

So go as far as you can see, and when you get there, you can see farther. Unexpected good will always come your way because it ALL is good. You just don’t always think so. When you do, all of your life beautifully transforms.

When you consider everything a blessing, no matter what it is, then everything is a blessing. No wrong can harm you. Get it? For some it will be a long time before they understand this. If You’re Not Getting Heard: Why Should Anyone Ever Listen To You?

“I get asked this sort of thing all the time. ‘What sort of template should I have for potential investors in my business?’ ‘How do I sell my film?’ ‘What should I do to sell more?’ ‘There is never enough money out there. How do I get it?’  My answer is to the point!

You must understand WHY they invest. You need to know what they want! What IS important to them? You already know what is important to YOU. You must LEARN what is important to THEM and why THEY buy. This is the first important step YOU have to take!

Then you have to be able to deliver to them in a way THEY understand. You must learnt to speak THEIR language. You already know your language. You must know what the buyer or investor wants, and what is most important to the buyer or investor!!

Attention Is The Purest Form Of Generosity

Why they are interested and what is important depends on each investor and not some blanket template.  NO savvy investor responds to a cookie cutter presentation. They know if you are interested in THEM or simply trying to get them to buy.

They can tell if you know how to appeal to them or if you are simply trying to get someone, anyone, to part with their money. You have to know why they buy! Ask yourself this, ‘if they could put their money anywhere, ANYWHERE, why, WHY, should they put it with you?’

You’d better have a good answer because professional investors buy people as much, or more, as they buy investments. They know people. They know money. They are in that business. They are in that business for a reason. Learn why they buy? OR they won’t! Get it?

We Make Time For What We Love And What Is Important To Us …

Learn what IS important to them! Who are you? That IS important to them. Do you believe in your product or program or movie? Do you believe in you? Are you honest, reliable, trustworthy? Do you keep your commitments? Are you on time?

Savvy investors know people and good deals. You may think your deal is fantastic. Watch SharkTank. While that is a TV show and doesn’t always, or exactly, parallel real life, what is the number one concern the SHARK seem to have most? Can you tell what it is?

What is in it for me? WIIFM! Can I make it work? Who is this person? Have they done their homework? Are the proactive? Would I want to invest or partner with this person? What is in it for me? Why should I put my money into this project? What’s the likely return?

… Pay Attention People Will Show You And Will Tell You

You come asking. Why should they care? You shouldn’t focus on how you sell them BUT on why they buy, or invest, in people and projects. Then tailor your presentation to the person/s you’re ‘pitching’.  Learn to speak their language. Appeal to what they value!

Remember, they are reading you all the while. Are you worth it or not? Most likely they made a lot of their decision about you before you opened your mouth? So if that is the case, when you open your mouth, you’d better maximally appeal to them and their needs.

Are YOU worth investing in, is a great question to ask yourself? Do you invest in yourself? Do you improve and better yourself? Have you grown in the past day, week, month, and year? How can you help improve other people’s lives? How can you better serve people?

You Never Win A Tennis Match With The Ball In Your Court

You NEVER win a tennis match with the ball in your court. Get it? They want to know you, will take care of them? Is your heart in the right place? Will this person be someone I want to stay partnered with for a long while? Is this person, likable and enjoyable?

Would I want this person over for a barbecue? Do they care about me? There are many reasons why people buy. Don’t try to pitch or sell them. No one likes being sold. They prefer buying things from people they like and trust over people they don’t.

MAJOR POINT: If you think this applies only to money, or money people, you are woefully mistaken. This applies to influencing all your relationships: family, friends, co-workers, associates, casting directors, and strangers. Learn what is important to them to them.

The Most Important Thing To Hear Is What Isn’t Being Said

Learn why they buy whatever idea, notion, product you are selling. Whether it is a movie, a house, jewelry, electronics, magazines, cleaning their room, going to a particular school or a nice restaurant? What do they want most? What do THEY need?

Take an active interest in them and you will get further, faster. Get it? I’ll share more in coming blogs. Meanwhile, think about it? What do you need to improve? What will you do to improve yourself? Focus on gratitude too. Remember, you move forward faster through appreciation and gratefulness. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

It Is All BS! You Don’t Have To Do Anything To Change!

“Do you have to do anything to change? Can’t I just be the way I am and the world change for me if I wish hard enough? Must I really do something to make it different? I try lots of things but nothing really seems to work. It’s all BS, positive thinking, airy fairy stuff, right?

With that attitude one is bound to remain the same for a long time. The good news is you don’t have to do anything to change, you are always changing. That is the law. Things change for better, perhaps for the worse. Evolution is constant. It isn’t if, the question is when.

Given a long enough time, you and, your situation will be different, even if you do nothing. You are entitled to wait it out. However, if you want to change, within a realistic time frame, most likely, you will need to do something. Remember the definition of insanity?

I Am In Charge Of How I Think And Feel Today I Choose Happiness

People do the same thing over and over again expecting different results. I’ll add, people, who  do nothing over and over again expecting different results, are just as insane. If you always do what you always did, you always get, what you always got,  remember?

Positive thinking, is not about having glazed over eyes and a permanent fixed smile while uttering platitudes. It is about taking control of the gray matter that is running your show. Your thoughts affect you and this you already know! Don’t con yourself.

If you are feeling angry or depressed, you are thinking thoughts that, make you, or perpetuate the feeling bad, whether or not, the source seems to come from the outside.  It is your thoughts bothering you if you are complaining or blaming or others or the world! Thoughts!

To Change Your Life You Need To Change Your Thinking

If you are bothered in the morning, through the day and into the night because of trouble with a loved one, some work related issue or a ticket from an officer, your mind is on autopilot and you need to take control. Yet, some won’t because they don’t believe in it.

You don’t have to believe in it. That, BTW , is another thought or set of thoughts. It helps to believe in it because you may want to do it but you don’t have to. If you do it long enough, correctly, you will get the results and then you will have your own evidence for it.

You will know it. Knowing is different than believing. Some don’t engage in it because they fear they will become glazed eyed, perpetually smiling, positive zombies. Their own fear or apprehension for change prevents them. People do what they do.

Whether You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

Positive thinking is a powerful, realistic approach to living life more fully. Either we master our thoughts or they remain the master of us. We are either in control of our thinking process or it controls us. Which would you rather be the case?  Positive or not, your choice.

I prefer feeling good, positive and powerful. Don’t you? I like knowing I can handle anything that comes my way, somehow, regardless, no matter what, with help or alone. I like finding the best of everything and the best in everything. But, you can stay the same.

Don’t do anything. Someday, perhaps in this lifetime, you will get what you want. Simply stay as you are. That isn’t so bad, unless your situation sucks. Keep in mind, it is your choice. You are always choosing, even when you choose to do nothing. It is your decision.

Your Decision Keeps You The Same – Or It Moves You Forward

Your decision keeps you the same or helps you move forward. If you want to move forward you can. Decide to. Take charge. Manage your thoughts and feelings. Begin by focusing on what you can and what you are grateful for. Gratitude makes an incredible difference. Begin feeling thankful. Adjust your attitude. Things get better when you do. Things get better as you celebrate everything.” Rex Sikes

Release Your ‘Why Nots’ And Start Getting What You Want

“Could there be something holding you back, preventing you, from getting what you want? Once discovered you could stop, or change it, so you could begin making things happen. People miss out because they have ‘reasons’ why they can’t have what they want.

When you release all the reasons why you cannot have it, you will have it. It’s a de-conditioning process. You have to wake you up from the trance you are in. The trance you’re in, is the belief you don’t deserve it. You can’t have it. It requires hard work. You suck.

Life sucks! More bad reasons why you can’t have something includes; you’re not lucky enough, you weren’t raised right, you’re not smart enough, nor have you what it takes, other people deserve it, but not you. You have to stop believing these lies. Wake up!

To Get What You Want You Must Stop Doing What Isn’t Working

Stop the blaming. Quit making excuses. Drop the whining. Let go of all the reasons why you can’t have it and you can start having it.
As I dictated this blog post, the word ‘trance’ printed out as ‘trench’. In some ways that’s is quite apropos. You dig yourself into a trench.

Believing bad beliefs dig you a trench, of your own making. The goal is to get you out of that trench and wake you up from that trance. Once you’re out of the trench, and awakened from the trance, you can start manifesting all of your desires. This is important.

You will begin manifesting your desires because you no longer prevent yourself from getting them. That is your old conditioned way of thinking and being. Release the old conditioned ways and become aware of the possibilities that you can then create.

Stop Doubting – Believe In Yourself – Get What You Want

Prior to waking up, and getting out of the trance, you live from the conditioned mind, that tells you, you can’t have the thing, you don’t deserve to. So you want it but you don’t believe you can have it. You want it, but you don’t feel good about getting it. So you don’t get it.

You focus on your problems, not on what you want. So you continue to create more problems. You don’t believe you’re going to get it, so you don’t get it. You don’t feel good about getting it, so you don’t get it. Remember, you become what you think about. Thoughts expand.

You feel bad when you think about your goals, so you end up creating more struggle. I want to help you create everything you want with ease. To do this, you need to learn to let go of the old conditioned mind and embrace the new thinking. Think positively.

Have The Courage To Let Go Of That Which Has Held You Back

Use new thoughts and beliefs to get you to everything you want to have. Release, delete, let go of that which isn’t working, so that you can have more of what you want. It’s a decision you have to make.  You have to decide to stop continuing as you were. You must quit it.

You must stop perpetuating the myths and start living free as a champion and victor. You need to realize you are always, already, creating. You can’t not create but you’re creating what you don’t want. I want you to learn how to create what you do want!

Until you let go you may continue to struggle. Let go and give in. Give in to gratitude and optimism. Give in to enjoyment and enthusiasm. Give into expecting good things to happen. Trust, believe, have faith. Become certain you can create the life you want to live. Then you will begin to create more of the good stuff. Celebrate your wins. Celebrate everything!’ Rex Sikes
