The Power Of Statements And Questions

“People ask wrong questions. People ask questions like ‘how long will this take’ rather than ‘how soon can I get it?’ ‘How come nothing ever works out’, instead of, ‘how soon will I discover everything always works out for the best, even if I don’t yet realize it?’

‘How come I am so stupid?’ They ask all sorts of ill phrased questions and make all sorts of ill phrased declarations such as ‘I’d die for chocolate’ or ‘that’s a real pain in the ass’ etc.  Remember, speak only to bless, heal and prosper, inspire and motivate yourself and others!

Most of people’s negative comments come charged with emotion and many of their positive ones are lackluster. Affirmations work when driven by large emotion negative or positive. Positive ones work best when you are enthused and passionate.

You Become What You Think About Most Often 

Many people experience negative problems and troubles because they affirm while angry and raging. Many create more negativity and problems because most of their moments are spent feeling negative, lots of other negative energy, they affirm it by what they say.

They declare the crap and so they continue to perpetuate the crap. Do you?  In order to transform yourself and your life the preponderance of your energy, your thoughts, feelings and words must shift from the negative to positive.

You get what you think about most frequently. Energy goes where your attention goes. Do you want to change? Would you like to transform? Are you stuck and need a new way to be? You can change! You will begin changing when you become positive, find the good, discover gratitude and celebrate everything.” Rex Sikes

How You Can Stop Fear And Anxiety From Ruling You!

“Someone asked a question the other day.  I thought I’d publish my reply here. This will help others who may be wondering the same thing. Here is what you can do when you are faced with thoughts or feelings you don’t want. It’s a powerful process you can use.

You can absolutely change your state and transform yourself when you apply this principle. When you apply it and continue to apply, repeatedly, as often as needed, healing and change can take place. It is the consistent, repeated, correct actions that make the difference.

You want to build powerful and positive thought, feeling and action habits. The way you do it is to put into practice what you learn here. It only takes seconds or minutes to learn this but you want to make it habit by using it all the time! Develop the habit that supports you.

Who You Think You Are Or Are Not Can Hold You Back

You can begin to easily, and powerfully, transform as you implement and continue to implement this practice. You’ll create new neural pathways which can become new habits. The more you do the more you become capable of doing! You change and things change! Get it?

In Mind Design™ we utilize Directed Questions™ and other powerful processes and principles to help you create your best life ever. I have been sharing these processes for more than 3 years in this blog and for nearly 40 years in programs and elsewhere.

These processes are life affirming, positive, powerful and help you overcome limitations in mindset, limiting beliefs and behaviors, and allow you to confidently and competently transform yourself to get the results you desire to get. You can manifest and create a new you!

Discipline Is Your Friend Not Your Enemy – Create Good Habits

So here is the answer to the question I was recently asked: How do i take the next step with less fear & anxiety?

The first step is to shift your focus. You are asking how you do something with less fear and anxiety. You asked, ‘How do i take the next step with less fear & anxiety?’ You focus is on fear and anxiety. It would serve you better to stop that. Put your focus elsewhere!

Drop that. Let that go. You are looking at what you want to avoid or eliminate. Stop! Remember, you get back, or more of, what you focus on.  Focus on what you want not what you don’t want. Stop focusing on fear and anxiety even as you say you wish to lessen those.

You’re better served to only speak (write and think about) what you want more of and what you want to include. Speak, write and think about only that which blesses, heals and prospers you. Think along these lines so you create and make happen what you want!

The Mind Is As Strong As The Weakest Think – Think Positive

Attract what you want instead of what you don’t Keep in mind what you focus on you get! What you think about you become. Whatever you focus on expands. What you see, say and feel is what you get. You make things happen. Thoughts become things! Change focus!

Emphasize good, wonderful positive things and characteristics. Realize, you are in a learning process and beginning to create what you want more of. As you do you will get more and more of what you want. Emphasize and focus on only THAT which you DO want!

Speak, think and write this way:

‘How do i take the next step with less confidence and delight? How do I take the next step easily and effortlessly? How do i take the next step in such a way that I maximize my joy and well-being? How do i take the next step with more fun than I could ever imagine possible?’

The More You Do The More You Become Capable Of Doing

‘How much fun can I have? In how many ways can I discover myself moving forward with eagerness and enthusiasm? How soon can I begin to notice everything is working together in many wonderful and positive ways? In how many ways do I already feel marvelous?’

Aim at what you want to create! Turn your back away from what you do not want to have. Shift from the negative, the less than glorious to the positive, the enjoyable, the wonderful and the glorious. You can do it! Think confidence, joy, delight, eagerness, and anticipation.

Do it and enjoy the new way of being! Anytime you notice yourself not focused positively on positive steps and thoughts and feelings STOP and shift back to the positive. The goal is to keep shifting back and build that habit. Awareness leads to change. This is what to do!

Create Wonder Play And Delight For Yourself And Transform 

As you notice and shift you build the long lasting habit of dropping negativity and moving into your positive power. It’s a process so enjoy, have fun and nurture the process. Monitor your thoughts and self talk. Concentrate your mental images and words on the positive.

Also pay attention to what you say to others so you continue to move forward. If you slip up encourage yourself positively. Think always: WHAT DO I WANT? not What do I don’t want? Okay? This is truly important and powerful. Manage your thinking positively!

Ask yourself: ‘What do I want to do, enjoy, experience, include, allow, and invite into my life right now?’ Get it? Move ward and keep moving forward. Drop by drop the tub fills! Everything changes for the better when you begin to consider everything a blessing and an opportunity. Life transforms incredibly as you do! Stay focused, Have fun. Enjoy the process and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

What To Ask When You Are Stuck

“Is there anything you can do when you’re stuck or confused? Life gave you lemons, now what? The answer is yes. It is simple and  powerful and can be profound. Still, knowing what to do and actually doing it are two very different things. Do this when troubled.

When you don’t know what you want or are confused determine what you do not what. What is not acceptable to you? What do you want to eliminate or avoid. Then turn that on its head and ask ‘What do I want instead?’ Keep asking this and stay focused on this.

When life gives you lemons, challenges or problems ask, ‘What am I to learn through this?’ Explore what possible lessons there are for you. If you act courageously and do it you can learn a lot. The other question to ask is ‘ What opportunities does this create for me?

You Get What You Focus On – What You Focus On Expands

Again be willing to search. There are positive possibilities. Seek then and you can find them. Stay committed and stay focused. When you begin asking questions you begin opening yourself up to things you may not have paid attention to previously. You aim your mind.

Stay positive. Direct your mind to find the good. You will find it. Practice gratitude. Express your thankfulness no matter what circumstances are like. When you discover there is a blessing inside of everything you can begin to enjoy life more. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Some Useful Secrets To Powerful Transformative Affirmations

“People ask me what affirmations are good to use. They ask me what I use. The most powerful are, anything that follows ‘I am’ in present tense. Such as, ‘I am confident. I am loving. I am rich. I am intelligent. I am healthy.’ Phrase it as if it is currently the case. You’re it, right now.

It is simple! Most important are the feelings you say the affirmations with. Even more important than the words are the emotions behind the words. So say them with conviction, passion, enthusiasm, confidence and joy. That is what is truly important. I promise you!

If you feel nagging doubt when you say the affirmation there are two things you should know. One, you may be comparing where you are to where you want to be, and notice the difference, and  feel less than glorious. Stop that! Focus on what you want, as if it is reality.

Whatever You Focus On – Talk – Read -Think About – You Create

Two, anytime you seek to make a change your brain, attempting to keep you safe and the same, will throw doubt, worry, fear, limiting beliefs and negative thoughts at you, to attempt to keep you from changing. It is why most people abandon the pursuit. Stop it.

Don’t let a thought prevent you from doing something good and positive for yourself and others. Stop listening. Put your attention elsewhere. Say, ‘thanks for sharing  but I go this covered. I’m going to go ahead and be rich, health, intelligent and loving anyway. Thanks!’

Don’t fight it. Work with it. Accept it and divert it. Use the phrase I just gave you. Take a break. Go for a walk. Take some deep breaths. Jump up and down. Interrupt the pattern when it fires off by doing something else. Anything else! Just be safe about it. It works.

When You Affirm You Imagine – If You Imagine – You Can Create 

If it just won’t seem to go away, and IF you repeat your affirmation with conviction consistently, EVERY day, IT WILL. But, in the event you can’t see your way through it, and make the changes for yourself, you can always ask a question or place yourself in a learning process.

You can say, ‘I wonder how soon before I feel really healthy. I wonder how soon before I realize how truly rich I am. How quickly can I discover it is easy to feel confident.’ This is an aspect of using my Directed Questions™ approach. Another aspect of it, is this.

‘I am in the process of getting really, really healthy. I am learning how to appreciate how rich I am. I am in the process of learning to be delightfully confident in the appropriate situations’ Get it. You direct your mind gently without setting up any conflict. You’re in process.

If It Is To Be It Is Up To Me – Accept Responsibility And Do It

Of course, the wise person will realize you can do both and blend them. So I hope you will. What follows are a few of the affirmations I use morning, before bed and throughout the day. You can  use affirmations from others, but it is best if you create your own.

‘I love my life. I am blessed. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Everything always works out for the best for me. Unexpected good always comes my way. I don’t know how, but everything always works out and I am grateful. Thank you. Thank you Thank you!’

Well, there you have some tips and some affirmations. Put it into daily regular use and you will transform your life and experience. Do nothing with it, and nothing much may change. It is the application of knowledge that is transformative, not the knowledge, itself. Get it? Do it! Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

The Reason You Keep Suffering And How To Stop It!

“How do you create more happiness, abundance and success in your life? The way is, how you use your mind. What you think determines your reality, good or bad. Sad, but true.  Whether you get your goals or not is completely, and solely, up to you. It is true. Get it?

Whether you direct your mind, and whether it serves you or not, is the question. If you aren’t deliberately taking charge, then your mind is running you. You have all the reasons, stories, words, excuses, blames, whines, and more, for why you, and your life, are is it is.

Once you start directing your mind you begin to make changes. Either you are driving the car,  going where you want  to go, or someone is taking you for a ride. Which is it? Which will it be? You are either the driver or you are not. Which is it?  Get it? It’s up to you.

You Create Every Moment Of Your Life

When you begin to ask, ‘what do I want’ you shift your focus from what  you don’t want to what you do. Some people long, and yearn, after things they never attempt to get. That’s wishing and hoping, but that’s not what I am talking about. I am talking about decisions.

When you decide to pursue, to go after, to think about, your dreams and goals, and what you want to include in your life, you begin to change your words, your stories and your reasons. You begin to shift from what is wrong to what is right. This is a huge moment!

Often, it is subtle. Subtle, but profound. Eventually, that little change amounts to incredible progress. Your future depends on what you think right now. You aren’t just experiencing this moment you are creating the next moments by what you do inside your head. Get it?

Your Choices Determine Your Results

You determine what you, and your life, will be like days and weeks and months from now, by what you entertain between your ears, this moment. Whatever you predominantly, routinely, automatically, consistently think about most, is what you create and perpetuate.

There is no escaping this. You create your reality whether you want to believe it or not. Either you are or someone else is. Which is it? Take charge and live as someone who knows where they’re going and is determined to get there. Be positive and persistent. Do it!

Live the dream. Imagine it. Decide to make it happen. That is how nearly everyone else has accomplished their goals. A rare person is born to it or lucks into it. The rest make it happen working together with others. Mindset first and friendly co-operation, is the means.

You’ll Keep Getting Crap Magnet Results Until You Learn This!

“Some people have difficulty making affirmations work. They just don’t do it correctly. Then they give up. There’s a way to make it work. When you do you can expect wonderful and powerful results.  It can be incredible! I wrote an article about this many years ago.

I was one of those who had difficulty. I tried many times and quit many times. In 1980 I developed a method, Directed Questions™ that skyrockets the power of affirmations and results one gets. Since then, a number of people have re-published aspects of my work.

They’ve had good success, too. However, those I’ve seen missed the heart of my work for getting the most benefit from the process. Questions are incredible. They work amazingly well. I use both. I write about both, usually at different times, for different reasons.

Everything Remains The Same If You Don’t Control Your Mind

I use both. Sometimes you want to go around blocks that have stopped you. Other times you want to power through blocks. You learn different things by doing different things. There is a reason for learning both. Everything can work. I use both for greater effect.

Sadly, most people affirm negative things. They get things they don’t want! Worry is negative planning. Many people ask wrong questions and get disastrous results. It is important to know the right way of doing things. That’s why I write about each. Get it? You can learn it.

You must learn how to take control of your mind and your mental habits, if you want to make yourself and your life better. You must change some things, if you want things to change. It won’t happen if you do nothing. You remain the same. Start acting in your own best interest. Learn how to do things. Practice gratitude and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

What To Do When You Are Stuck In A Bad Story You Keep Repeating PT 2

“In my recent post I asked, what is a fact and what isn’t? I asked where could you put your attention when things aren’t going right, so you can unlock positive, productive possibilities? Today, I’ll  elaborate on how you can make positive and powerful changes.

There are times when you feel down and beaten. Do not let yourself get too far down. It is important to take control, in spite of circumstances and do whatever you can to feel better. To feel your best. Negative thinking produces negative feelings and it loops.

You can spiral down or spiral up. It is always your choice. It may not seem like it is. You may have learned to feel helpless or that things are hopeless but you aren’t and they are not. That is only prior negative conditioning and it can be changed. Seek to change it.

You Are Not The Product Of Circumstances But Of Your Decisions

Do whatever positive things you can to feel better. Take a walk. Work in the garden or on some physical project. Exercise, do yoga, get a massage. Run, sing, jump. Hang in nature for awhile. RECLAIM YOUR POWER and feel as best as you are able to.

Even just a little better is a step in the right direction. Keep taking steps in the direction of feeling your best and you will eventually get there. Keep the faith when all seems hopeless. It is hard at first, especially, if you haven’t yet conditioned yourself to do this. You can!

So where else might you put your attention that would be more productive and feel better. Think and speak only to bless, heal and prosper. What story do you want to perpetuate? The habitual negative, limited one, or the one with positive possibilities?

Joy Is A Decision – Happiness Is A Choice – Decide To Live Well

You aren’t aware of what you aren’t aware of. You can’t be. But you can begin to become aware of the other possibilities that are available to you by shifting your attention. How might things be otherwise than how you think they are? Consider  this.

You may think you have the gospel version and that is because of your prior, chronic, limited, negative conditioning. You are locked in a thought habit. You think you know how it is because this is how you operate. Do something this time. Change what you think.

It is your choice! Energy flows where your attention goes. WHAT DO YOU WANT TO CREATE? Ask yourself? HOW DO YOU WANT TO BE FEELING? What questions do you need to ask and where do you need to put your attention to do this? Then ask and then do!

Stop Reinforcing Negative Habits – Reinforce Positive Habits

Since you don’t know what you don’t know, STOP being limited by what you think you do know. Be willing to explore what else might be there you just haven’t considered yet. Explore. Search your inner resources. Make it a point to feel your best in spite of the obstacles.

Focus on gratitude. Focus on the little you have because when you do it expands. You can grow it. You can amplify the good or the bad it is your choice. How do you want to live? What do you want to feel like? It is always your decision and you determine the outcome.

The results you get are based on what you choose to focus on. Do you want to feel restricted, limited, and less than glorious or do you want to feel positive, powerful and unlimited. Either one depends on how you choose to use your mind. Start making positive changes.

Don’t Miss The Obvious Because Of The Obvious – Become Aware

DECIDE NOW to STOP REINFORCING NEGATIVE PATTERNS and scenarios. STOP living as a victim. Stop perpetuating your own limiting myths and start telling new stories. Start focusing on the good. Start living as a victor. Take charge!

What To Do When You Are Stuck In A Bad Story You Keep Repeating

“What is a fact and what isn’t? I spoke with someone who described a situation and said, ‘that is the way it is.’ They let me know  they weren’t expressing, ‘it is what it is’, but that their version of reality was the only version. They felt circumstances couldn’t be changed.

They (I use they to obscure the individual and gender) felt they knew how everything was and would play out. I reminded them to be careful what story they were telling and repeating to self and others. After all, this is how we interact. We describe our history; our day.

Be sensitive to what you continue to perpetuate and to what you want to create. Put a guard before your thoughts and words. SPEAK ONLY to bless, heal and prosper. SPEAK ONLY the version you want to perpetuate. Speak the truth in advance of it happening. Declare!

Most People Miss The Obvious – Because Of The Obvious

Let the rest go. For example, when you think, ‘I don’t have enough money. I can’t do it. I will never find real love. Business sucks. With this economy I will never succeed. I am so unlucky’ or any other limiting thought variation, ask yourself a question or two.

‘What am I not noticing right now, that I could be seeing, had I another level of awareness? What am I missing that I could soon begin to notice? What else might I pay attention to that I haven’t yet? How might things be otherwise than how I think they are?’

‘What am I not seeing, not noticing or considering, that’d make a difference? Where else can I put my attention that would be more productive? Consider this: you are simply reacting the way you typically react because of your prior, chronic, conditioning. Get it?

Become Alert – Become Aware – There Are Infinite Possibilities

You aren’t noticing what you don’t notice, hence you accept your version as the only version. I am not trying to get you to doubt yourself. I am trying to get you to doubt your limiting version. It is only a mental creation, as is anything else. You can believe it or not.

As Henry Ford stated, ‘whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you are right.’ In other words, you don’t know, what you don’t know. There are many other possible avenues for you to pursue than you realize. It is important to be open to other versions. Get it, yet?

‘In how many different ways might I discover I am truly loved and can find an ideal mate?’ May be a question to consider. ‘How quickly can I discover that I have always had enough money, even when it didn’t seem like it, Things always work out and I land on my feet.’

Recognize When You Are Stuck In Your Own Loop And Change It

‘There are businesses all around me. Some do better, some worse. How soon might I be delighted, to begin, to discover the many different ways I can improve my  business success? ‘In how many different ways have things always worked out positively for me?’

EVEN IF I DIDN’T NOTICE IT YET! Awareness is an ongoing process. We can’t consider everything. We typically consider what we are used to considering. There are many things outside our present awareness we could consider instead. This is important!

More in the next blog. Now ask yourself, what can you feel grateful for? Discover your many blessings you haven’t fully validated, yet. Put your attention on the good. Fill your mind with what you have that IS working. Suspend putting attention on anything less than glorious. Begin now to celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
