What To Ask When You Are Stuck

“Is there anything you can do when you’re stuck or confused? Life gave you lemons, now what? The answer is yes. It is simple and  powerful and can be profound. Still, knowing what to do and actually doing it are two very different things. Do this when troubled.

When you don’t know what you want or are confused determine what you do not what. What is not acceptable to you? What do you want to eliminate or avoid. Then turn that on its head and ask ‘What do I want instead?’ Keep asking this and stay focused on this.

When life gives you lemons, challenges or problems ask, ‘What am I to learn through this?’ Explore what possible lessons there are for you. If you act courageously and do it you can learn a lot. The other question to ask is ‘ What opportunities does this create for me?

You Get What You Focus On – What You Focus On Expands

Again be willing to search. There are positive possibilities. Seek then and you can find them. Stay committed and stay focused. When you begin asking questions you begin opening yourself up to things you may not have paid attention to previously. You aim your mind.

Stay positive. Direct your mind to find the good. You will find it. Practice gratitude. Express your thankfulness no matter what circumstances are like. When you discover there is a blessing inside of everything you can begin to enjoy life more. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

You Will Never Have The Good Life Doing This!

“Stop and consider this. Why on earth would you ever get what you want while focused on what you don’t want? I mean really. If you wanted to come and visit me, but focused on every place I wasn’t at, how would you ever expect to get there? You wouldn’t, would you?

Yet, this is what people do all the time. They think, speak and affirm all the difficulty and issues they experience. They gleefully share bad news with family and friends. They out do each other with stories of woe. Do you think this leads to a more positive and productive life?

There is a reason for the statement, ‘misery loves company’. There is a reason for the statement, ‘birds of a feather flock together’. You get more of the same, whatever you are focused on. You don’t get its opposite. You don’t get to Milwaukee, talking about Texas.

If You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t – You Are Right

You must focus on where you want to end up regardless of where you are right now. That is the principle behind the GPS. It knows where you are and where you want to get to. It assists you in choosing the quickest path, and in some cases, avoiding blocks.

That is what affirming, what you want, does for you. It keeps the destination in  mind while you journey. If you want more good things in life, you must put and keep your attention on those. Energy flows where attention goes. You get what you think about most often!

You don’t get what you love, focused on what you hate. So, why do you persist? Habit. It has been a habit and you must learn to change the habit. That is why I write this blog to help you. That is why I have products and seminars for many years assisting people. Get it?

You Become What You Think About Most Often

Stop focusing on what your problems are and begin shifting your attention to what you want to be, do and have! No matter what circumstances present themselves, no matter where you are on the journey, stay focused. This is how you make it happen. Get it? Focus on what you want. You Can’t Have It Both Ways!

“Some people try and noticeably fail. You just cannot have it both ways. Instead of being focused and putting their attention into what they want to include and keeping it there, they get distracted. They focus on what they do not want. They end up wishy-washy.

That ambivalence is keeping you stuck, if that is what you do. You can’t have one foot on the dock and another on the boat and feel comfortable and well off. You can’t want wealth, while thinking and telling stories of scarcity, lack and hardship. It just doesn’t work!

You can’t have health, focused on illness. Nor, can you have love while focused on loneliness or resentment. You can’t have it both ways. You can’t have peace if you are a warmonger. Energy flows where you attention goes. The story you tell, is what you live from.

Singular Focus Creates Success – Divided Attentions Prevents It

In order to have what you want, you need to think, speak and act like you already have it. Pretend it in your mind. Feel all the good feelings of enjoying it, now, on the inside. As a kid you used your imagination. Successful, happy people still do! They know how to focus. Get it?

They know what to focus on. You can to! Do it today. Focus on what you want without paying any attention to not having it yet. Create an inner world where it is already yours. Stop telling stories to yourself and others of woe. Speak only to bless, heal and prosper!

Let go of the bad and focus only on the good. Let go of the scarcity and lack of anything, and only focus on including what you want. Be grateful for what you already have, whether it is little or a lot. Feel the appreciation. As you do, your energy will change. It really does!

Focus On Opportunities And You’ll Have More Opportunities

Be grateful. Gratitude works wonders. When you stay true to what you want and let go of the rest, you open doorways to create  it. When you stay true to one side, your mindset, your feelings, your energy and actions align. You align yourself totally with making it happen. That is power! Do it! Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

If Your Attention Is Anywhere Else You’re Likely Fail!

“Most people make attributions outside themselves. They give their power away! The put their power on others, on events and circumstances. The blame the economy. the weather, the government, their parents, kids and spouses. Get it? They do this.

Do you? That is victim mentality. You need to realize who truly is running the show. Are you ready for this?  It is YOU! You run the show. I’m not saying you are making it rain or not, but you are determining the results you get. You influence you! Get it?

You have great power within you to become anything you can imagine and believe you can become. Don’t get wacky on this idea, I am not speaking of super powers. I am saying that as a human you can accomplish anything any other human has accomplished.

If You Can Conceive It And Believe It You Can Achieve It

You can be happy, rich, famous, successful, a loving partner, parent, child or caregiver. You can choose where you want to live and what you want to drive. It is all up to whether you believe this is possible for you or not. If you want it you can make it happen. Will it?

No one can say but YOU! You u can evolve. You can change and transform yourself and your life.  Never settle for just OKAY. A life without problems isn’t much of a  life.  Make your life the best it can be by becoming the best person you can be! Get it! Create your life!

Instead of settling, make a difference. If you don’t get as far as you hoped, but you get further than you are, isn’t that better? You decide. You determine what will or won’t be. Create your best life by managing your thinking. and by feeling your best most often.

Who Are You Really? Did You Know This About Yourself?

“Sometimes it seems things aren’t happening as much or in the way that I would like. My dream career, my ideal job, my true love, that fantastic car or home, lot’s of money, being debt free seem so far away. Problems and issues loom. What’s going on? Ever asked that?

Neville Goddard, makes a most important point that we all should remember. Keep it in mind. Thought leaders from ancient to modern times promote and reinforce this idea. Once you begin to master the concept everything begins to change. Keep the faith and work it.

Mind set truly is everything. How we manage our thoughts, shapes our present and our future. It is how we relate to the past. Our thought is what moves us forward or keeps us stuck. It is why Ford said, ‘If you think you can or you think you can’t, you are right.’

You Are Already Everything You Want To Be …

‘Disregard appearances, condition, in fact all evidence of your senses that deny the fulfillment of your desire. Rest in the assumption that you are already what you want to be, for in that determined assumption, you and your infinite being are merged in

creative unity, and with your infinite being, all things are possible.’ – Neville Goddard. It is the skill we must master. We must stop getting caught up in how things presently appear to us. We never see the complete picture so we always operate on partial information!

We must ‘rest in the assumption that you are ALREADY what you want to be’. That is where our power stems from. We are already what we want to be, we already have everything. Even when it appears we aren’t or don’t. THAT is where the power is. In YOU!

… And You Are On The Path To Discovering Yourself

Now! BUT you, and I and everyone, miss it because we are focused on the wrong things, in the wrong direction, most of the time. We become what we think about, and we think about crap mostly. In order to live the life we want, we need to shift our mindset.

We need to shift our attention. That is why gratitude works. We focus on being grateful for what we already are, and have. Get it? If you let thoughts stop you from being who you are, and can discover, that’s sad. Yet that is what most everyone does. Discover yourself.

Say yes! Be grateful! Enjoy! Focus on already being, doing, and having everything you want. Express your gratitude. Most likely, it isn’t going to transform everything for you  overnight, BUT it can and could. I remind you of this because it is a journey. It’s not a flash and puff of smoke magical appearance. So enjoy and delight. Remember who you are and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

If It’s Not The Law Of Attraction What Is It?

“If it isn’t the Law Of Attraction what is it? You’ve heard, ‘like attracts like’ and ‘birds of a feather flock together’ so what gives? How come you don’t get what you want if like attracts like? Is the the LOA bogus? I never liked that name anyhow. It is misleading.

I don’t think the original intenders of the phrase we misleading about it, but it has been misunderstood for a long time. It is better to think of it as the Law Of Attention. You get back whatever you give your attention to. Good or bad. What you focus on actually expands.

It works this way. You want a new car, house, job, or money. You imagine getting it. But when you do you notice that you don’t have it and it seems a far way off. You wish you had it, because everything would change once you do. You don’t have it, but you continue on.

When You Look In The Mirror You Get Back What You Already Are

As you do this your attention is on the unwanted. Your attention is on not having it. You are focused on the lack of it. Your feelings let you know this because when you think about it, you don’t feel free and joyful, you feel as if something is missing, AND it is! Get it?

You notice not having it, and you get more of not having it back. It is working but not to give you what you want. You think you are focused on what you want BECAUSE you want it. BUT what you really are aware of most, is not having it yet. AND it’s painful.

So you remain not having it. For you to change it, you must get excited about having it, and imagine you already do. Then you get back what you are focusing on, actually having it. Your feelings determine what you get back. True joy brings more true joy. Get it?

Energy Flows Where Your Attention Goes

The knack of making it work is to remain joyful, feeling wonderful, and feeling like you already have it, ON the inside, even while it is invisible on the outside. You must keep the faith and the feelings in spite of current circumstances. That is why gratitude helps so much.

Focus on what you already have and feel truly grateful. Be happy about whatever you have. Express actual joy about it all and feel it fully. Then you begin getting more of the good feelings and more of the good things you have. Then you attract more of the good stuff.

Be thankful for your job, car, money or home. Then, BECAUSE of your ATTENTION to gratitude and the good feelings more can come your way. In fact, it doesn’t magically appear, but you open the doorway to get these things by your mindset and attitude. You make it happen. You bring it about. So feel good. If you want good things in your life, celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

How Much Must I Do?

“What do I have to do to make my situation better? Not only, what must I do, but how much must I do? How do I gear up my mindset to take actions? How do I get solutions to my problems? What must I do to make a difference in my life? What will help me change it?

Quality and quantity are important. They make a difference. Passion, energy, enthusiasm and positive feelings drive the mechanism that makes affirmations work. So have fun with the affirmations! Chant them, sing them, say them with energy! This IS crucial! It works.

Be adamant, be happy, be thrilled when you speak and think them. The feelings reinforce the statements. It is not the words as the much as it is the feeling and energy behind the words. Feelings are the driver. Your subconscious pays attention to feelings!

Drop By Drop The Tub Fills – What You Focus On Expands

Feelings are the signal to you and to your subconscious mind signal. Feelings are the message. Positivity is a choice! Train your mind to see the good in all situations, rather than emphasize the bad. Bad circumstances may persist but you emphasize the good.

This is how you find solutions. You don’t ignore what is wrong, and won’t work. You put your attention on what is right, and what you can do. You don’t ignore, you notice and shift. You select what to pay attention to. When you feel right inside you make better decisions.

You take the right actions. Don’t concern yourself with what to do. First, concern yourself with what to think and feel. Think and feel  the best you can.  When you select affirmations look for examples in your everyday life. Look at how things are good. Focus on these.

The More We Do The More We Are Able To Do – You Become It

Find abundance all around! Look for smiles, positivity and enjoyment. Find people and things you’re grateful for.  Focus on these. Be thankful.  Appreciate what you have. Quality matters. So does quantity, So the more you are positive and grateful the better it all becomes. Every bit helps. Celebrate everything! Rex Sikes

What To Do When You Are Stuck In A Bad Story You Keep Repeating PT 2

“In my recent post I asked, what is a fact and what isn’t? I asked where could you put your attention when things aren’t going right, so you can unlock positive, productive possibilities? Today, I’ll  elaborate on how you can make positive and powerful changes.

There are times when you feel down and beaten. Do not let yourself get too far down. It is important to take control, in spite of circumstances and do whatever you can to feel better. To feel your best. Negative thinking produces negative feelings and it loops.

You can spiral down or spiral up. It is always your choice. It may not seem like it is. You may have learned to feel helpless or that things are hopeless but you aren’t and they are not. That is only prior negative conditioning and it can be changed. Seek to change it.

You Are Not The Product Of Circumstances But Of Your Decisions

Do whatever positive things you can to feel better. Take a walk. Work in the garden or on some physical project. Exercise, do yoga, get a massage. Run, sing, jump. Hang in nature for awhile. RECLAIM YOUR POWER and feel as best as you are able to.

Even just a little better is a step in the right direction. Keep taking steps in the direction of feeling your best and you will eventually get there. Keep the faith when all seems hopeless. It is hard at first, especially, if you haven’t yet conditioned yourself to do this. You can!

So where else might you put your attention that would be more productive and feel better. Think and speak only to bless, heal and prosper. What story do you want to perpetuate? The habitual negative, limited one, or the one with positive possibilities?

Joy Is A Decision – Happiness Is A Choice – Decide To Live Well

You aren’t aware of what you aren’t aware of. You can’t be. But you can begin to become aware of the other possibilities that are available to you by shifting your attention. How might things be otherwise than how you think they are? Consider  this.

You may think you have the gospel version and that is because of your prior, chronic, limited, negative conditioning. You are locked in a thought habit. You think you know how it is because this is how you operate. Do something this time. Change what you think.

It is your choice! Energy flows where your attention goes. WHAT DO YOU WANT TO CREATE? Ask yourself? HOW DO YOU WANT TO BE FEELING? What questions do you need to ask and where do you need to put your attention to do this? Then ask and then do!

Stop Reinforcing Negative Habits – Reinforce Positive Habits

Since you don’t know what you don’t know, STOP being limited by what you think you do know. Be willing to explore what else might be there you just haven’t considered yet. Explore. Search your inner resources. Make it a point to feel your best in spite of the obstacles.

Focus on gratitude. Focus on the little you have because when you do it expands. You can grow it. You can amplify the good or the bad it is your choice. How do you want to live? What do you want to feel like? It is always your decision and you determine the outcome.

The results you get are based on what you choose to focus on. Do you want to feel restricted, limited, and less than glorious or do you want to feel positive, powerful and unlimited. Either one depends on how you choose to use your mind. Start making positive changes.

Don’t Miss The Obvious Because Of The Obvious – Become Aware

DECIDE NOW to STOP REINFORCING NEGATIVE PATTERNS and scenarios. STOP living as a victim. Stop perpetuating your own limiting myths and start telling new stories. Start focusing on the good. Start living as a victor. Take charge!

When you take charge, when you deliberately focus your mind on the positive, when you live in gratitude for anything and everything, everything begins to change. You can make it all different. You can start living how you deserve to be living. DO IT! AND celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

What To Do When You Are Stuck In A Bad Story You Keep Repeating

“What is a fact and what isn’t? I spoke with someone who described a situation and said, ‘that is the way it is.’ They let me know  they weren’t expressing, ‘it is what it is’, but that their version of reality was the only version. They felt circumstances couldn’t be changed.

They (I use they to obscure the individual and gender) felt they knew how everything was and would play out. I reminded them to be careful what story they were telling and repeating to self and others. After all, this is how we interact. We describe our history; our day.

Be sensitive to what you continue to perpetuate and to what you want to create. Put a guard before your thoughts and words. SPEAK ONLY to bless, heal and prosper. SPEAK ONLY the version you want to perpetuate. Speak the truth in advance of it happening. Declare!

Most People Miss The Obvious – Because Of The Obvious

Let the rest go. For example, when you think, ‘I don’t have enough money. I can’t do it. I will never find real love. Business sucks. With this economy I will never succeed. I am so unlucky’ or any other limiting thought variation, ask yourself a question or two.

‘What am I not noticing right now, that I could be seeing, had I another level of awareness? What am I missing that I could soon begin to notice? What else might I pay attention to that I haven’t yet? How might things be otherwise than how I think they are?’

‘What am I not seeing, not noticing or considering, that’d make a difference? Where else can I put my attention that would be more productive? Consider this: you are simply reacting the way you typically react because of your prior, chronic, conditioning. Get it?

Become Alert – Become Aware – There Are Infinite Possibilities

You aren’t noticing what you don’t notice, hence you accept your version as the only version. I am not trying to get you to doubt yourself. I am trying to get you to doubt your limiting version. It is only a mental creation, as is anything else. You can believe it or not.

As Henry Ford stated, ‘whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you are right.’ In other words, you don’t know, what you don’t know. There are many other possible avenues for you to pursue than you realize. It is important to be open to other versions. Get it, yet?

‘In how many different ways might I discover I am truly loved and can find an ideal mate?’ May be a question to consider. ‘How quickly can I discover that I have always had enough money, even when it didn’t seem like it, Things always work out and I land on my feet.’

Recognize When You Are Stuck In Your Own Loop And Change It

‘There are businesses all around me. Some do better, some worse. How soon might I be delighted, to begin, to discover the many different ways I can improve my  business success? ‘In how many different ways have things always worked out positively for me?’

EVEN IF I DIDN’T NOTICE IT YET! Awareness is an ongoing process. We can’t consider everything. We typically consider what we are used to considering. There are many things outside our present awareness we could consider instead. This is important!

More in the next blog. Now ask yourself, what can you feel grateful for? Discover your many blessings you haven’t fully validated, yet. Put your attention on the good. Fill your mind with what you have that IS working. Suspend putting attention on anything less than glorious. Begin now to celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

What The Question ‘What Do You Want?’ Does For You

Asking what do you want clarifies your thinking. It re-focuses you. It puts your attention on what you want and what you want to include. It takes your energy from what you don’t want and wish to exclude and re-focuses it. Get it? It shifts you from powerless to powerful.

It helps put you back in the driver’s seat and in charge of your own life. You can use it whenever you have a limiting thought, feeling or behavior. You can use it regarding events, circumstances and others. Let’s say the bank refuses your loan. Ask ‘What do I want?’

Of course you want the loan, but why? What are you attempting to accomplish? What is the larger goal? What are you wanting to feel? There may be other ways of legitimately getting the outcome or the money, without the loan or going through the bank. Understand?

Energy Flows Where Your Attention Goes – Focus And Flow

It allows you to have a next step. You don’t have to know how it works out, but by asking ‘what do I want’ you focus your attention and energy on what is truly important. From there you may get other insights and ideas, flashes of intuition, if you listen.

When arguing with a loved one, remember to ask, ‘is this what I want? WHAT do I want?’ You can decide, ‘No. I want to get along. I want both of us to feel loved. I want to communicate with each other better. What do I want? I want to get along!’ That can change you!

When you go back to what you want and what is important to you, it focuses the energy on THAT instead of the argument. Get it? You refocus. You determine what is important to you and you seek to make that happen for both parties. YOU change the situation.

You Get What You Focus On – What You Focus On Expands

You shift things by making your internal adjustments. You don’t blame, whine, accuse, excuse yourself or the other, instead look for the positive, good you can focus on, that changes you and helps improve the situation for both of you. Get it? You shift and change it.

It gives you the means to get out of being stuck in non-productive, even repetitive, mental and behavioral loops. If you keep doing the same thing, hoping for different results, that IS the definition of insanity. If you want change, you must make changes. Get it?

It is up to you. Re-focus your energy. What do you want? Clarify and determine what is positive and supportive that will help you get what you want. What is it that is good for you and for others? Focus on making these changes along the way. Are you getting this?

Your Mind Is Powerful – Fill It With Positivity – And You’ll Change

Most likely, you will need to ask it, or do it, more than once. Trust me! You will. You can ask moment to moment. Every time you engage in a new behavior you can ask. When driving to work, how do you want it to go? You could think, ‘I want a safe, enjoyable drive’.

Listen to your answers. What do you want from your meal? ‘I want my body, mind and spirit to easily process this wonderful meal and fill me up nutritionally’. Or. ‘I want to maintain my ideal weight’ so you adjust what you eat and how much. Get it? Use the question.

Use it to guide you moment to moment. In any situation alone, or with others you can ask. Clarify, then move forward, once you have. This question, and the others I gave you, can be a real game changer when you routinely apply them to your life. So don’t stay the same.

Direct Your Mind Where You Want To Travel – It Will Take You

Especially, if you don’t want to. If you want to grow and evolve and make positive changes, using these questions can move you ahead more easily and quickly. So too, can practicing gratitude and understanding that each of life’s many moments are blessings. So celebrate everything!: Rex Sikes
