Stop Giving Your Mind Your Power And Your Rights Away!

“We live in confusing and chaotic times, according to some. We also live in very good and wonderful times. Elements counter and combat each other. The world has always had sunshine during great catastrophes. Both exist simultaneously.

There is no judgement until a human renders one!

All is good is a perception. All is bad is a perception. Judgements on both sides. As an individual we need to choose which we want to be our predominant mindset. This makes all the difference in how we experience life. If we don’t choose, we already have chosen.

We must come down on one side or the other. We can focus primarily on all that is good, while not ignoring the bad, we can work to create what we want. We don’t succumb to the bad but we focus our efforts on solutions and creating what we want instead.

Whether You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

We know we don’t want the bad so we work on creating what we do want. It is a simple concept. Some focus mostly on the bad and try to escape from the harm. They keep running from that which they don’t want. Sadly, they may not know where to run to. This is a problem.

This is why we utilize the bad, what we don’t want, to clarify the good and what we do want. We specify what we want and they work to accomplish it. We do so without blinders but we shift our attention away from what we don’t want TO what we do want!

This makes all the difference. Energy flows where attention goes. One gets exhausted running from the bad. One may get invigorated creating something beautiful. Where you focus and put your attention and energy determines what you get back and experience.

Energy Flows Where Attention Goes

Which do you want? Especially in these confusing days. We have so much hurled at us moment to  moment. Social media, news, our culture, our family and friends. We are constantly bombarded by distractions, negative thoughts, energy and activity all day long!

We seem to be lead by chaos and confusion. That is a principle way to divide and conquer. Half truths and lies perpetuated for effect.
Governments have ruled this way. It appears the way we are being led. It is time for people to wake up, seek accurate information.

Get accurate information when and where you can find it. Stop swallowing everything that happens in a news cycle. The instantaneous nature of our internet life is mind numbing and dulling. Learn to wait and see. Evaluate before swallowing.

What You Focus On Expands – You Get What You Think About

Stand up for yourself and your rights. Be vigilant. The great distraction is instant news. Just as it is instant text and phone calls. It is great you can be reached anytime and anywhere AND it also has a downside. How often are you distracted by your own phone.

Interruptions rule our day. Subliminal messages in songs, and shows and news and billboards. I don’t mean the nefarious kinds but those can be included. Learn to think and feel and act for yourself with the great good for all in mind too. We have become too selfish.

We are too self absorbed. If there are nefarious forces they will rule over us because we are too busy to notice our rights and privileges being stripped away. We are too  busy seeking after and obtaining the next shiny object. Like fish we are lured astray. Hooked!

Seek Accurate Information – Don’t Be Swayed By Opinion

Caught! Stop. Claim your mind back. Claim your life back. Help make the world better for yourself and your family and neighbors. So not be led astray. Lemmings follow lemmings right over the edge. Stop! Think, and act wisely! ACT!

Don’t be caught up in advertising and social media. Some of it is good. Some not good. Focus on what you want to build that is better while aware of what you want to avoid. Turn your focus to creating the best life and along the way celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

How Willing Are You To Change To Get What You Want?

“Never swallow your own BS . Everything and everyone, every situation and circumstance is an opportunity to get feedback. If one is open enough, and empty enough, messages come from everywhere. People and the world are your mirror. Your teachers.

Let intuition be your guide. Ask more questions than give answers. Seek not answers or reasons but seek to BE. Dwell within your presence. Silence is golden, especially when empty. When your cup is full, more can’t be added to it. Seek to be empty. Be quiet inside.

Be at peace with yourself. Allow the wise to counsel. Be smart enough to be open and teachable. Be willing to change. Allow yourself to be receptive. Know who to listen to. Listen to those who have what you want and have been where you are.

When The Student Is Ready The Teacher Appears

How much you learn and transform depends on how willing you are to be teachable. It depends on how willing you are to change. If you are not open to being taught, nor willing to change,  forget it. The teacher only appears when the student is ready. Openness matters.

Pay attention to the Universal Principles. Give that which you wish to receive. Become the eye of the hurricane, the center. Be peaceful, regardless of anything. Determine what you want and where you want to go. Navigate the way. Step by step enjoy the journey.

Parts of your journey may be easy. At times it will be clear.  Other parts, may be confusing. Other parts, may be downright difficult. Keep your  destination in mind, while being aware of where you are. Enjoy all of it as it is. Enjoy all parts of the journey. All of it is valuable. Stay open and you can transform in miraculous ways. Discover that everything IS a blessing. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Can You Stop Being Afraid?

Fear has been said to be false evidence appearing real. For example, this or something like it may have occurred for you. You walk outside at night-time, see a snake and react in fear. You freeze or run. You are terrified. In dim light, you can’t tell it is really only a garden hose.

You mistook a garden hose for a snake. Doesn’t matter, does it? You still had a fear response. Your body reacted as if it were real. Even though it wasn’t, you thought it was. In your mind you saw a snake! You believed it was a snake!  Yet, there was nothing to fear.

Sometimes, we encounter real snakes, or lions and tigers and bears. We encounter real situations that could cause us to react with caution or with fear. Hopefully, we respond appropriately at those times. Then, there are many times when we perceive things to fear.

If You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

Perhaps, that could be said of all situations. We respond as we’ve been conditioned to respond. We respond and react as we grew up learning to; these are thought and behavioral habits. There is nothing to actually fear, yet,we feel afraid; fight, flight or freeze.

We are afraid of things for which fear is not necessary. We have made that fear a habit. There is nothing wrong with fear. It is a useful response in the appropriate situation. Fear, freezing, fleeing or fighting is an evolutionary response to keep us alive. Get over fear.

There is nothing wrong with being afraid. Real stimuli or not, there is nothing wrong with being afraid It is a human response. Courage is not the absence of fear but the ability to manage fear and do what is necessary anyway. Courageous people act while afraid.

What You Focus On Expands – Be Careful What You Focus On

Many of us are afraid of things we need not be afraid of. Instead of being concerned with fear, be more concerned with developing courage and an unstoppable attitude that allows you to move forward as you want. Manage your thoughts and feelings.

Take charge of your thinking and feeling so you become more joyful and peaceful. Learn to be happy often and delight in all life offers. Experiences that bring fear are opportunities to transform yourself and go beyond the limitations. It’s an opportunity to be different.

You can go beyond the conditioning you once knew and move into new ways of being. Everything can be a blessing if you look for the blessing inside of everything. Learn to live this way, celebrate everything, and most fears will diminish and give way to bliss.

Learn To Create What You Want More Of And Let The Rest Go

Then when necessary, if it is ever necessary, you can and will still use fear to succeed and navigate successfully in troubled waters. You may be afraid, perhaps, but you will still be moving forward. Fear won’t paralyze you but be a signal to move forward cautiously.  Transform yourself and enjoy! Become free. These Things Don’t Have To Kill Us But Might

“We are distracted today by electronics, media, social media and so much more. Our brain space is occupied with alien invaders all day long. All night long. On and on we are bombarded by messages designed to make us weak, powerless, helpless and hopeless.

Advertisers have convinced us that having a human body is a problem only products can remedy. From the top of your head to the tips of your toes and everything in between, inside and out, has a pill, a potion and ointment or a procedure that is required. WOW!

Being human is tough. Then there is your mindset. People are helpless and hopeless, they are anxious, fearful, frustrated, angry and depressed. They need pills or psychotherapy of some form, just to deal with the day to day. Their heads and hearts are broken.

The First Step In Awareness Is To Become Aware Of Your Own BS

Our spirit is ignored. Our relationships suck. Our pocket books empty because we all trying to pursue a vanishing dream, and pay for all the products and fixes we think we need, just to be presentable to others, who do the same thing, at work and play.

We are pressured by social media. We are at a loss without our phones. We battle on Facebook and walk and drive with our heads buried in our devices. We photograph disasters and post it to get likes. We unfriend people because they think differently than we.

‘THEY’ have us convinced we are less than human because we have odors and flakes. We aren’t good enough or smart enough to be anything but a worker bee. So be sure you have multiple jobs so you can afford the products you need because you smell.

Then Become Aware Of The BS Of Those Attempting To BS You

I mean really, we have swallowed this hook line and sinker. We need the next Iphone, the next latest gadget or big screen TV, too. We are consumers pursuing a dream, that is rising in cost, and one almost always out of our reach. We are told to keep buying and spending.

We aren’t told we are smart, intelligent, people who can make their lives a personal and professional success. We aren’t encouraged to become rich and free we are encourage to work hard and retire with a pension promised, but now taken away. It isn’t just the television.

It isn’t just the advertisers. This has become a way of life, of thinking, it permeates our culture. It is in our music, our books, our movies, our clothes, our make up, our parties and pastimes. We are just not ever told we are good enough and the news is WE ARE!

Become Aware And Free Yourself From The Illusions Of Mind

Only we have been hoodwinked and brainwashed to think otherwise. Our pockets empty while their pockets fill. Consider why, they lie. Then realize you don’t have to believe it or participate. You can choose to be different and find and live another way.

I am not suggesting you have to totally disconnect. I am only suggesting you realize that a war is waged for your mind. They want to own it, and so far they have, in so many ways. If they have your mind they have your pocketbook and vice versa. Time to break free.

Live and seek to live the good life of your own creation. Seek to think your own thoughts, not commercialized consumerism and psychological pathologies. Everyone is broken in their book. You’re not. You work perfectly well. You really do. Give yourself credit.

Wake Up To How Incredible You Are And The World Is

Yes, you and I have learned many useless and silly things. We learned to be stuck, to loathe certain things including ourselves. To fear odors and flakes, to desire the next best whatever it is. We learned to work hard at low paying jobs, and that we need more than one.

What we didn’t learn so well is that we were conditioned to be this way. We are conditioned to be citizens so we don’t put up a fuss. We toe the line, do as we are told, buy the products and the sugary drink and we do it all willingly because we didn’t know better. BUT!

We are beginning to awaken. We are beginning to see the seams in the fabric as it is pulled and pushed apart by social issues and unrest, that have remained festering for so many decades. We are waking up to see it is not all that pretty; the mess that has been made.

Celebrate – Delight – Learn – Laugh – Love – Live – Celebrate All

Hopefully, we wake up and recognize there is still a wonderful world, a wonderful people and wonderful opportunities ahead. It isn’t too late and there is still plenty of everything. We can awaken further and learn to get along and help each other instead of compete.

Competition and war are inbred like football and boxing is. We get further, and can better get along, serving and uplifting each other and going the extra mile to add value and respect than we can fighting each other and dividing up everything. Time to stop.

We need to stop labeling the behaviors of ourself and others as bad and begin to see the good. Encourage and emphasize that. Look for solutions that heal and help, that unite and bind. Seek a higher path, a nicer way. We can do this. It begins within each of us. You and I.

If You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

Time to wake! It is our responsibility, not someone else’s. It is time we take control of our thinking, feeling and behaving. Make certain it is the very best. Make it exemplary so that is a role model. Let’s become renewed and refreshed. Let’s learn to live, love, and laugh. Then we can change ourselves and the world. Yes! It is time to wake up! AND celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

What The Question ‘What Do You Want?’ Does For You

Asking what do you want clarifies your thinking. It re-focuses you. It puts your attention on what you want and what you want to include. It takes your energy from what you don’t want and wish to exclude and re-focuses it. Get it? It shifts you from powerless to powerful.

It helps put you back in the driver’s seat and in charge of your own life. You can use it whenever you have a limiting thought, feeling or behavior. You can use it regarding events, circumstances and others. Let’s say the bank refuses your loan. Ask ‘What do I want?’

Of course you want the loan, but why? What are you attempting to accomplish? What is the larger goal? What are you wanting to feel? There may be other ways of legitimately getting the outcome or the money, without the loan or going through the bank. Understand?

Energy Flows Where Your Attention Goes – Focus And Flow

It allows you to have a next step. You don’t have to know how it works out, but by asking ‘what do I want’ you focus your attention and energy on what is truly important. From there you may get other insights and ideas, flashes of intuition, if you listen.

When arguing with a loved one, remember to ask, ‘is this what I want? WHAT do I want?’ You can decide, ‘No. I want to get along. I want both of us to feel loved. I want to communicate with each other better. What do I want? I want to get along!’ That can change you!

When you go back to what you want and what is important to you, it focuses the energy on THAT instead of the argument. Get it? You refocus. You determine what is important to you and you seek to make that happen for both parties. YOU change the situation.

You Get What You Focus On – What You Focus On Expands

You shift things by making your internal adjustments. You don’t blame, whine, accuse, excuse yourself or the other, instead look for the positive, good you can focus on, that changes you and helps improve the situation for both of you. Get it? You shift and change it.

It gives you the means to get out of being stuck in non-productive, even repetitive, mental and behavioral loops. If you keep doing the same thing, hoping for different results, that IS the definition of insanity. If you want change, you must make changes. Get it?

It is up to you. Re-focus your energy. What do you want? Clarify and determine what is positive and supportive that will help you get what you want. What is it that is good for you and for others? Focus on making these changes along the way. Are you getting this?

Your Mind Is Powerful – Fill It With Positivity – And You’ll Change

Most likely, you will need to ask it, or do it, more than once. Trust me! You will. You can ask moment to moment. Every time you engage in a new behavior you can ask. When driving to work, how do you want it to go? You could think, ‘I want a safe, enjoyable drive’.

Listen to your answers. What do you want from your meal? ‘I want my body, mind and spirit to easily process this wonderful meal and fill me up nutritionally’. Or. ‘I want to maintain my ideal weight’ so you adjust what you eat and how much. Get it? Use the question.

Use it to guide you moment to moment. In any situation alone, or with others you can ask. Clarify, then move forward, once you have. This question, and the others I gave you, can be a real game changer when you routinely apply them to your life. So don’t stay the same.

Direct Your Mind Where You Want To Travel – It Will Take You

Especially, if you don’t want to. If you want to grow and evolve and make positive changes, using these questions can move you ahead more easily and quickly. So too, can practicing gratitude and understanding that each of life’s many moments are blessings. So celebrate everything!: Rex Sikes

What Do You Want?

“Are you thinking and feeling and acting positive, or not? It’s important to consider. You want to be. Here is the next crucial question you ask, to move you closer to getting what you want. ‘What do I want?’ You can ask this moment to moment.

‘Is this what I want?’ You ask this repeatedly. Whatever happens, whatever results you get, whatever thoughts, feelings and actions you make, question yourself and ask, ‘Is this what I want?’ or ‘what do I want?’ Clarify what you want by asking ‘what do I want?’

Get it? Make certain you are moving in a positive direction. Each moment you can ask, ‘is this what I want?’ If it isn’t, ask, ‘what DO I want?’ Use it to change your thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Direct yourself continuously to the positive good you DO want. Get it?

Direct Your Mind Positively – Ask Questions To Clarify Your Wants

If you aren’t getting what you want, stop. Stop spending your time re-creating what you don’t want. Change it! Move in the direction of getting what you do want. If you think, ‘I can’t do this’ is that what you want to think? NO! Think instead, ‘I can learn to do this.’

Get it? ‘I can look for someone who can assist me in learning how to do this. I can learn to make it happen alone or with coaching. I can begin to do this. I can begin to move forward and make it happen.’ Affirm and visualize what you want to happen. Direct YOUR mind!

This question is important. It is so powerful! It stops you. If you aren’t getting what you want, why would you ever continue? Right? It illuminates the chronic, conditioned, habitual thoughts, feelings and behaviors so you can become aware and change. It illuminates!

Whether You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

It brings attention to your answers, which are your thoughts, beliefs and limiting beliefs. Whenever you discover you are limiting yourself, excusing, blaming, or whining, too, you can stop. Then begin to change them. If you don’t want that belief, what one do you want?

Get it? Are you with me? Is it making sense? Watch this!  You must ask it frequently. ‘Am I getting what I want? What do I want?’ I am providing some variations, but the point remains the same. Stop doing what you don’t want. Change it to what you want! GET IT?

Develop the habit of being your own best, positive, supportive friend who helps you move towards your goals and dreams. Realize at  any moment you, and your behaviors, thoughts and feelings are either positive, supportive and moving you closer to your goals OR not!

We’re Living And Growing Or Withering And Dying – Choose

Get it?  I really hope you will. I am driving home an important point. You determine the success and happiness you will experience by how you think about things AND the questions you ask yourself. You always have been, even if you didn’t know or assume responsibility.

You have been creating everything all along by what you think and do. Time to take charge and decide how you want things to be, instead of haphazardly creating things, as you have in the past. Sometimes you got good results. Sometimes you got unwanted ones.

Now you can direct your thinking and feeling and actions to ensure you create AND attract only that which you DO want. GET IT? I hope so. ‘What am I grateful for?’  is another excellent question! Ask it a lot. Emphasize gratitude and feeling blessed. Direct your mind. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Success And Happiness Is Determined By How You Think!

“In recent blogs, I taught and I encouraged you to ask, ‘does this support me? Is this supportive or non-supportive?’ A very important consideration. Something either supports and uplifts you, or it does not. I snuck in another question, too. Perhaps, you noticed it.

If something is not supportive, ‘what can I change; what thought, feeling or behavior?’ If you discover your thoughts aren’t supporting you, then you should, you must change them, to supportive ones that help get you the results you want. Awareness, then shifting, is key!

If you do something that makes you feel bad, you want to change it to something that makes you feel good. Realize, you should have a conscience too. You ought to do what is best for you and everyone involved. I am never suggesting you do anything to harm anyone.

Whether You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You’re Right

That includes you and others. Be sensitive and be good to all. Another consideration, prior to getting into the next question I share, is this question? Is it positive or negative? If something is negative and doesn’t support you, change it? Focus on the positive.

You get what you focus on. You want a better life? You don’t get one by focusing on negativity, what is wrong or lacking. You make your life better by focusing on those positive thoughts, feelings and actions you can take, to get you positive and better results. Get it?

The point of these questions I am sharing, is to bring your awareness to the moment. Is what is going positive or negative? Does it support you or not? What change can you make to your thinking, feeling or behaving that will shift it from negative to positive and supportive?

Change Your Mindset And You Change Your Life – Be Positive

More next time. For now keep focused and keep asking. Stay tuned to what you are grateful for. This combination of gratitude and positivity, with questions that direct  you into being and feeling supportive, is unstoppable. Make it your new habit. Master it. It is amazing.
