Stop Seeking Happiness For Happiness

 

“Sadly, people want to be happy. They think if they have another brighter, shinier object it will make them happy. If they get an award or a promotion they will somehow be better and consequently be happier. More of something elusive is what they think will work.

It doesn’t and it won’t. From most all reports through eons of time having more, or accomplishing, much isn’t the base of lasting or true happiness. So, what is if you can’t become happy this way? True happiness comes from a sense of being happiness right now.

Humans become dissatisfied with what they want. The shiny object becomes dull in time and so we want more. We seek something else to fulfill us. This becomes an endless pursuit. It seems we are only happy when we have something new and better to brag about.

You Are Where Your Thoughts Have Brought You

Since these feelings of satisfaction and happiness come and go, is there something one can do that is more permanent or longer lasting? Yes, is the answer. Start living in the present moment and appreciate what you already have. Be happy now. Right now!

Some people complain they don’t know how. That is because they have practiced being happy through accumulation. It is time to practice being happy for who you are and for what you have right now. Recognize the good in your life. Notice and become aware of it.

It is not just things. It is who you are and how you feel. It is the people in your life. It is the circumstances surrounding you. It is the moment right now. It is the beauty of the earth right now, today, that matters. Stop seeking and start being. That makes the difference.

The More We Do The More We Are Capable Of Doing

Stop wanting to be happy and start accepting the now. Look for the good in you and all around you. Discover that blessings abound. Stop putting off for tomorrow what you have today. Stop making your conception of happiness an ideal. It isn’t a thing to have. Get it?

Happiness isn’t some state you enter. Happiness is a process and a choice. You won’t always feel blissful. You don’t have to either. People get screwed up by their definitions of happiness. They miss it because of what they think it means and what it is. It is a thing!

Happiness is not the absence of everything else that isn’t happiness. Happiness is a process. It is a sense of well-being. It is contentment. Happiness is emphasizing the good. Energy flows where your attention goes. Stop pursuing a thing. Be in a process. Be in flow.

Skill Comes From Doing – Repetition Is The Mother Of Skill

The river isn’t static. It is moving, flowing. Life flows and changes. We feel differently from time to time. Happiness is a choice not a thing! It is a decision as to where you place your attention and what you determine to focus on. The goal is to feel the best you are able.

This doesn’t mean you always need to be amped up and a ten on the glee meter. It means you feel a bit better than a moment ago. If you are down and out you do whatever is necessary to feel a bit better. You move yourself in a more positive and optimistic direction.

Drop by drop the tub fills. It needn’t be now or never. All of life is process. Accept it. Tides come and go. Feelings ebb. Allow for changes while steering your boat in the river of life. Go with the current but steer away from the rocks. Navigate and enjoy.

You Get What You Focus On – What You Focus On Expands

The easiest way to be happy is to appreciate the moment. Feel grateful and accentuate the positive. You don’t ignore the negative or problems but you place them safely within context and don’t let them run you. You focus on what is good and delightful. Get it?

You choose to be bigger than any obstacle and you determine to live as a champion. You focus on what you can and will do. You focus on  that, which right now, is good. Fill your mind and being with wonder and awe and delight for what is YOU this moment! Tend to the beauty of the garden even while weeding it. Be happy and you will do and have more happiness. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

How To Begin Creating Your Awesome Life!

“Don’t wait for anyone else to do it for you. You must act and make your own life great. As I said, ‘the calvary ain’t coming!’ No one but you can do it for you. Nothing in the outer world needs to change for you to make your dreams begin to come true. You need to change.

If you want your life to change you need to change things in your life. If you want different results stop doing what you habitually do and begin to do new positive, productive, powerful things that make the difference. First, create a list. Create a list of all the good things.

Write down all the things you like about your life. Write down those things you are grateful for. Put down on paper everything you love and enjoy. Focus on these. Make these the center of attention. Concentrate on these often. Never complain. Never whine.

What You Focus On Expands – You Get What You Focus On

Speak and think only to bless, heal and prosper. Center your attention on all these good things. Keep your focus there. Your energy will change. The more good energy you get the more you produce as your remained focused. This is how to claim power!

Transform yourself. Begin with the inside of your head and your outer world will follow. Begin today. Stop waiting. Stop continuing down less than glorious paths. The Tale Of A Mystic God And An Old And Young Man

“Indian mystic Narada was off to see god. As he journeyed he played his veena, a stringed instrument. In the midst of a forest he encountered an aged monk sitting against a tree. The old monk asked Narada to ask god a question when Narada saw him.

‘Please tell him I have been making great efforts for three lives now. When, oh when, will he see fit to allow me to be enlightened and free?’ Narada agreed that he would ask and continued on his journey to meet up with god.

Turning a bend in the forest path he found, under another tree, a young man dancing and singing. Narada, being a man of humor, asked the young man, ‘Would you like to ask god a question?’ The young man kept dancing. He didn’t reply. Narada thought he’s deaf.

Trust And Let Go – Celebrate Everything – Be Grateful And Play

He asked again. The young man continued to dance, sing and play on his ektara as if he had not heard. Narada journeyed on. After a few days he returned. Seeing the old monk again, against the tree, he told him god’s news. ‘He said, ‘three more lives.’ The old monk raged.

He got so angry he shook his fists at the sky, threw down his scriptures and prayer beads and exclaimed, ‘this is too much! Three more lives! So unfair!’ Leaving him Narada again encountered the young dancing and singing man. He continued to dance and sing.

‘Although you did not ask, I asked god for you. How many more lives will this young man have to live before his liberation? God replied, ‘tell him he will have to be born and lead as many lives as there are leaves on the tree he dances under. ‘ The young man danced more.

Drop And Release The Old Limitations And Become Totally New

He danced more enthusiastically! He seemed in ecstasy. ‘Really, so few? So fast? There are so many trees in all the world and I only have to live this many more lives? Next time you go to see god give him my thanks!’ It is said the young man became enlightened right then!

Dance, play, sing, enjoy life. Delight. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Who Are You Really? Did You Know This About Yourself?

“Sometimes it seems things aren’t happening as much or in the way that I would like. My dream career, my ideal job, my true love, that fantastic car or home, lot’s of money, being debt free seem so far away. Problems and issues loom. What’s going on? Ever asked that?

Neville Goddard, makes a most important point that we all should remember. Keep it in mind. Thought leaders from ancient to modern times promote and reinforce this idea. Once you begin to master the concept everything begins to change. Keep the faith and work it.

Mind set truly is everything. How we manage our thoughts, shapes our present and our future. It is how we relate to the past. Our thought is what moves us forward or keeps us stuck. It is why Ford said, ‘If you think you can or you think you can’t, you are right.’

You Are Already Everything You Want To Be …

‘Disregard appearances, condition, in fact all evidence of your senses that deny the fulfillment of your desire. Rest in the assumption that you are already what you want to be, for in that determined assumption, you and your infinite being are merged in

creative unity, and with your infinite being, all things are possible.’ – Neville Goddard. It is the skill we must master. We must stop getting caught up in how things presently appear to us. We never see the complete picture so we always operate on partial information!

We must ‘rest in the assumption that you are ALREADY what you want to be’. That is where our power stems from. We are already what we want to be, we already have everything. Even when it appears we aren’t or don’t. THAT is where the power is. In YOU!

… And You Are On The Path To Discovering Yourself

Now! BUT you, and I and everyone, miss it because we are focused on the wrong things, in the wrong direction, most of the time. We become what we think about, and we think about crap mostly. In order to live the life we want, we need to shift our mindset.

We need to shift our attention. That is why gratitude works. We focus on being grateful for what we already are, and have. Get it? If you let thoughts stop you from being who you are, and can discover, that’s sad. Yet that is what most everyone does. Discover yourself.

Say yes! Be grateful! Enjoy! Focus on already being, doing, and having everything you want. Express your gratitude. Most likely, it isn’t going to transform everything for you  overnight, BUT it can and could. I remind you of this because it is a journey. It’s not a flash and puff of smoke magical appearance. So enjoy and delight. Remember who you are and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Stop Worry And The Negative Planning: Become Effective!

“Worry is thinking about what you don’t want to happen. Whatever you focus on and spend time on is what you end up getting more back of. It means most of your time is spent on negative things not working out, instead of on solutions and making solutions happen.

You are programming your mind when you worry. You are programming your mind when you focus on the positive. Either way you get what you focus on. You plan for it. You plan for the worst, or you plan for the best. Get it? It is how you use your mind. It matters!

It is always a choice. Even though, for some people, it doesn’t seem like a choice.  One of the best ways to counteract worry is through gratitude. Gratitude can, and does, change everything! When you begin to appreciate anything and everything, everything changes.

Whether You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You’re Right

Your thoughts and feelings change. Your energy changes. Your behaviors change.  When you are able to find the sliver lining or the golden nuggets in  all situations, you transform yourself from one who worries and attracts negativity to one who is positive.

You go from in-effective to effective. You get ‘at cause’. You  take charge and no longer let unconscious habits run you. You create a new habit of positivity, power and solution focused thinking. Not only that, but you win because YOU did it. Learn how to do it! Then do it! Then celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

How Much Must I Do?

“What do I have to do to make my situation better? Not only, what must I do, but how much must I do? How do I gear up my mindset to take actions? How do I get solutions to my problems? What must I do to make a difference in my life? What will help me change it?

Quality and quantity are important. They make a difference. Passion, energy, enthusiasm and positive feelings drive the mechanism that makes affirmations work. So have fun with the affirmations! Chant them, sing them, say them with energy! This IS crucial! It works.

Be adamant, be happy, be thrilled when you speak and think them. The feelings reinforce the statements. It is not the words as the much as it is the feeling and energy behind the words. Feelings are the driver. Your subconscious pays attention to feelings!

Drop By Drop The Tub Fills – What You Focus On Expands

Feelings are the signal to you and to your subconscious mind signal. Feelings are the message. Positivity is a choice! Train your mind to see the good in all situations, rather than emphasize the bad. Bad circumstances may persist but you emphasize the good.

This is how you find solutions. You don’t ignore what is wrong, and won’t work. You put your attention on what is right, and what you can do. You don’t ignore, you notice and shift. You select what to pay attention to. When you feel right inside you make better decisions.

You take the right actions. Don’t concern yourself with what to do. First, concern yourself with what to think and feel. Think and feel  the best you can.  When you select affirmations look for examples in your everyday life. Look at how things are good. Focus on these.

The More We Do The More We Are Able To Do – You Become It

Find abundance all around! Look for smiles, positivity and enjoyment. Find people and things you’re grateful for.  Focus on these. Be thankful.  Appreciate what you have. Quality matters. So does quantity, So the more you are positive and grateful the better it all becomes. Every bit helps. Celebrate everything! Rex Sikes

Successful People Do This Deliberately Or Not

“People who are successful do specific things to get that way and stay that way. They either ‘luck’ into discovering what to do, meaning they discover it on their own, in time, OR, they are taught, or ‘lucky’ enough to be raised in a family that emphasizes these.

Get it? The people, who are successful and people who live a happy life, already do these things on purpose or they have learned to do it unwittingly. Some do what I have been describing in these blog pages, with or without, realizing they do these things. It is fortunate.

What do they do. They read positive and inspiring material everyday. They seek to learn to be in charge of themselves.  They commit to daily improvement to be the best person they can be. They commit to their purpose. They invest in themselves and their future. Get it?

Stay Positive – Be Strong – Feel Your Best – You Can Do It – Do It

They live in the present, inspired, feeling gratitude and help inspire and encourage others. They maintain a positive attitude. They apply what they learn from reading, mentors, workshops and experience. They feel good and take inspired actions. They do it! THEY DO IT!

They listen to inspiring talks and audios. They keep their mind fit and conditioned with a healthy, hearty, mental diet designed to help them get to the top of their game. They hang out with other positive people. They celebrate the success of others. They add value to all.

If they get mad, they get mad at circumstances, enough to want to change things. Then they turn from the problem and spend their time focused on what they want to create. They don’t let hard times take the wind out of their sail. They know, hard times helps them.

You Get What You Focus On Energy Flows Where Attention Goes

In adversity are lessons and seeds of opportunity. They take 100% responsibility for everything in their life, good or bad. However, they don’t consider the bad, bad. They consider trying circumstances as incredible opportunities, that will all work out in the end. Get it?

They attend live seminars and online events to network, share and learn from others. They share and contribute generously. In doing so they learn, and evolve more, and get back much more than they give. They don’t focus on what they don’t have, but what they do have.

As stated, some stumble into doing this along life’s pathway. Others were brought up instructed in what’s important. Daily, they are thankful and grateful. They don’t focus on the how ,but believe they are resourceful enough to make it happen, in time. They trust.

You Make It Happen – You Create It – You Attract It – You Do It

They write down their goals. They journal. They keep a success diary. They visualize and affirm their desires with enthusiasm. They have a zest for life and are passionate about their projects and dreams. They learn to work smarted not harder. They know it is 99% mental.

They are beacons in the dark. They attract others to them because they vibrate and transmit positive energy. You can feel it when in their presence. They love life and are grateful for everything. They consistently and automatically manifest what they want. They do!

Successful people learn how to make things happen. They practice and conditioning themselves, repeatedly, long enough, consistently, to master the abilities. It is habit for them to make good things happen. Successful people do some or all of these things. And you?

You Will Always Be Out Of Your Comfort Zone If You Are Growing

All this can be yours too, when you commit to making yourself, and your life, the best ever. Do these things and you will be happy and successful, too! Savor the seconds, make marvelous the minutes, delight in the day! Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
