To Succeed You Must Tell A Different Story!

“Stop telling the same old story of why things don’t work they way your would like. Stop it. Zip your lips. Stop thinking it. Stop speaking it. Enough already. You create your life circumstances through the stories you tell. How so? You get what you focus on! Get it?

While you may not wish to own up to this, your present life experience, the results you are getting, favorable or not, are due to your previous thoughts, words and actions. What you think determines what you do or not do. Get it? You create everything!

Until you get this major point you are bound to perpetuate a lot of what you’d rather not have. If you are getting a lot of what you don’t want and not enough of what you do want, then you need to make some real changes. They can be small but you need to make them.

You Become What You Think About Most Frequently

First change to make is to begin telling a brand new story. Think and speak only of how things already are the way you want them to be.  Stop reinforcing old things you want to change. Begin reinforcing the positive change you want to have.

Stop speaking about what is wrong. Begin speaking, with enthusiasm and passion and excitement, about what is right!  ‘Act As If’ you are already do have the future good you want in your life. You can pretend anything and master it. You can fake it till you make it.

Act As If that future you, does all the things necessary to succeed. You think right, feel good and take the right actions. Start telling that story of how you do positively accomplish things. Repeat the story over and over to yourself. Write it out. Share with others.

What You Say Is What You Get – What You Focus On Expands

You aren’t lying you are in the process of making it happen. You are bringing it about with your positive attitude and actions. Get it. You can share how you are learning to make good things result! JUST stop talking about all the crap, negativity and distractions. Get it?

Talk about nothing else. but what you want more of. Create a new story for the person you are. Put an end to the old story you have told for so long. Think, ‘I’ve had enough of that crap already!’ Tell the new story. Create it and live it! Think it, write it, live it and be it

Little bit by little bit your life and circumstances will improve. When you improve your story you will get better results! Be glad. Be grateful. Have fun. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

You Need To Eliminate Inner And Outer Clutter

“You know how sometimes your desk or room gets messy. Perhaps, it is the kitchen that is in disarray. Heck, it could be the whole damn house that needs a do-over. A cleaning and an organizing are in order. Have you ever faced this? Your mind needs decluttering too.

Eliminate mental clutter. Go ahead. Keep it simple. Release and let go of anything that isn’t supportive of the kind of person you want and intend to be. Drop it. Have you ever dropped anything you were carrying. It just dropped away. Drop the negativity and the rest.

Anything not supportive, anything that doesn’t serve you accomplishing your purpose and fulfilling yourself, release. You can use affirmations to affirm the new you. Chant these with positive, strong emotion. Journal, write out what you want to release.

You Can’t Hate Yourself Happy – You Can’t Criticize Yourself Thin

When finished tear it out and safely burn it up. Talk it out, out loud. Write out what you want to let go of and burn it. Write out what you want instead and keep it. Affirm it. Read it out loud three or more times a day. Clean out and clear negativity from your brain space.

If you clean your house, room or office every once in awhile, even rarely, then you want to be sure to clear and clean your inner space too, every now and then. Whatever you release ,replace with the positive opposite. Affirm what you want. Don’t leave a vacuum.

Free up your energy to serve you better. Allow yourself to create flow and high vibrations. Feel wonderful instead of drained. Move your body. Get out and about. Focus on feeling magnificent. End the distractions and the frustrations and release it all. Really, do it!

Real Change Begins With Self-Love and Self-Care

Get outside. Refresh and renew in nature. Walk, enjoy your surroundings. Breathe and enjoy. Take time to relax. Delight in the simple things you find. Notice how good fresh air is and how wonderful the earth on your feet feels. Enjoy and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

It Is All BS! You Don’t Have To Do Anything To Change!

“Do you have to do anything to change? Can’t I just be the way I am and the world change for me if I wish hard enough? Must I really do something to make it different? I try lots of things but nothing really seems to work. It’s all BS, positive thinking, airy fairy stuff, right?

With that attitude one is bound to remain the same for a long time. The good news is you don’t have to do anything to change, you are always changing. That is the law. Things change for better, perhaps for the worse. Evolution is constant. It isn’t if, the question is when.

Given a long enough time, you and, your situation will be different, even if you do nothing. You are entitled to wait it out. However, if you want to change, within a realistic time frame, most likely, you will need to do something. Remember the definition of insanity?

I Am In Charge Of How I Think And Feel Today I Choose Happiness

People do the same thing over and over again expecting different results. I’ll add, people, who  do nothing over and over again expecting different results, are just as insane. If you always do what you always did, you always get, what you always got,  remember?

Positive thinking, is not about having glazed over eyes and a permanent fixed smile while uttering platitudes. It is about taking control of the gray matter that is running your show. Your thoughts affect you and this you already know! Don’t con yourself.

If you are feeling angry or depressed, you are thinking thoughts that, make you, or perpetuate the feeling bad, whether or not, the source seems to come from the outside.  It is your thoughts bothering you if you are complaining or blaming or others or the world! Thoughts!

To Change Your Life You Need To Change Your Thinking

If you are bothered in the morning, through the day and into the night because of trouble with a loved one, some work related issue or a ticket from an officer, your mind is on autopilot and you need to take control. Yet, some won’t because they don’t believe in it.

You don’t have to believe in it. That, BTW , is another thought or set of thoughts. It helps to believe in it because you may want to do it but you don’t have to. If you do it long enough, correctly, you will get the results and then you will have your own evidence for it.

You will know it. Knowing is different than believing. Some don’t engage in it because they fear they will become glazed eyed, perpetually smiling, positive zombies. Their own fear or apprehension for change prevents them. People do what they do.

Whether You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

Positive thinking is a powerful, realistic approach to living life more fully. Either we master our thoughts or they remain the master of us. We are either in control of our thinking process or it controls us. Which would you rather be the case?  Positive or not, your choice.

I prefer feeling good, positive and powerful. Don’t you? I like knowing I can handle anything that comes my way, somehow, regardless, no matter what, with help or alone. I like finding the best of everything and the best in everything. But, you can stay the same.

Don’t do anything. Someday, perhaps in this lifetime, you will get what you want. Simply stay as you are. That isn’t so bad, unless your situation sucks. Keep in mind, it is your choice. You are always choosing, even when you choose to do nothing. It is your decision.

Your Decision Keeps You The Same – Or It Moves You Forward

Your decision keeps you the same or helps you move forward. If you want to move forward you can. Decide to. Take charge. Manage your thoughts and feelings. Begin by focusing on what you can and what you are grateful for. Gratitude makes an incredible difference. Begin feeling thankful. Adjust your attitude. Things get better when you do. Things get better as you celebrate everything.” Rex Sikes

What Do You Want?

“Are you thinking and feeling and acting positive, or not? It’s important to consider. You want to be. Here is the next crucial question you ask, to move you closer to getting what you want. ‘What do I want?’ You can ask this moment to moment.

‘Is this what I want?’ You ask this repeatedly. Whatever happens, whatever results you get, whatever thoughts, feelings and actions you make, question yourself and ask, ‘Is this what I want?’ or ‘what do I want?’ Clarify what you want by asking ‘what do I want?’

Get it? Make certain you are moving in a positive direction. Each moment you can ask, ‘is this what I want?’ If it isn’t, ask, ‘what DO I want?’ Use it to change your thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Direct yourself continuously to the positive good you DO want. Get it?

Direct Your Mind Positively – Ask Questions To Clarify Your Wants

If you aren’t getting what you want, stop. Stop spending your time re-creating what you don’t want. Change it! Move in the direction of getting what you do want. If you think, ‘I can’t do this’ is that what you want to think? NO! Think instead, ‘I can learn to do this.’

Get it? ‘I can look for someone who can assist me in learning how to do this. I can learn to make it happen alone or with coaching. I can begin to do this. I can begin to move forward and make it happen.’ Affirm and visualize what you want to happen. Direct YOUR mind!

This question is important. It is so powerful! It stops you. If you aren’t getting what you want, why would you ever continue? Right? It illuminates the chronic, conditioned, habitual thoughts, feelings and behaviors so you can become aware and change. It illuminates!

Whether You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

It brings attention to your answers, which are your thoughts, beliefs and limiting beliefs. Whenever you discover you are limiting yourself, excusing, blaming, or whining, too, you can stop. Then begin to change them. If you don’t want that belief, what one do you want?

Get it? Are you with me? Is it making sense? Watch this!  You must ask it frequently. ‘Am I getting what I want? What do I want?’ I am providing some variations, but the point remains the same. Stop doing what you don’t want. Change it to what you want! GET IT?

Develop the habit of being your own best, positive, supportive friend who helps you move towards your goals and dreams. Realize at  any moment you, and your behaviors, thoughts and feelings are either positive, supportive and moving you closer to your goals OR not!

We’re Living And Growing Or Withering And Dying – Choose

Get it?  I really hope you will. I am driving home an important point. You determine the success and happiness you will experience by how you think about things AND the questions you ask yourself. You always have been, even if you didn’t know or assume responsibility.

You have been creating everything all along by what you think and do. Time to take charge and decide how you want things to be, instead of haphazardly creating things, as you have in the past. Sometimes you got good results. Sometimes you got unwanted ones.

Now you can direct your thinking and feeling and actions to ensure you create AND attract only that which you DO want. GET IT? I hope so. ‘What am I grateful for?’  is another excellent question! Ask it a lot. Emphasize gratitude and feeling blessed. Direct your mind. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

What Powerful Question Can You Ask That Could Change Everything?

“What mindset or questions can you use each day, each moment, to guide you to making the right decisions? What can you ask to, move you forward and, get you closer to making what you want, happen? What is the positive mindset you need, that can best work for you?

Obviously, it will all be individual and tailored for you. However, questions direct your mind; they divide up the world into aspects of your experience you can choose to pay attention to. Using the questions I give you can make an incredible and massive difference!

Realize you can categorize, almost, anything as supportive or non-supportive. When you do this your world begins to change. ‘Does this support me? Does this serve me? Is it supportive or is this non-supportive?’  These are excellent questions to keep asking yourself.

The Remedy For Any Issue Is Learning To Ask The Right Question

Use your mind for a change! That is why you have a mind. So you can direct your efforts. Where you put your attention is where energy flows.  You want your energy flowing in productive and positive ways. Realize, that most everything you, and I, do are habits.

We are routine creatures. Research demonstrates this, so I won’t go into it again. I have in the past and in other blogs. Habits either support you in doing, and getting, what you want OR they do not. Asking whether something is supportive, or not, is a great habit!

Make it a habit. ‘Does this thought support me? Does this feeling support me? Does this behavior support me?’ If not, change it for one that is positive and does. Asking the question brings you to a choice point whereby you can make a decision. You stop being stuck.

Successful People Ask Better Questions And Get Better Results

It gives you an indication you may not be moving in the best direction. It can give you an indication that you are moving in the right direction. When do you ask it? Anytime, you feel less than glorious, are confused or engaged in a way you don’t want to be.

Get it? Start using it. You will make positive changes as you do. I’ll give you another powerful question to ask in the next blog. Meanwhile, ask and ask and ask. Get your internal guidance system working for you. Then, and this is important, be glad. FEEL glad!

Be grateful and appreciate all things. Appreciate the answers and insights. Follow the answer and the positive decisions you make. This helps you take charge and get over obstacles. If something doesn’t support positive change, what positive thought would?

What can you change to make it better? Change your thoughts, feelings and behaviors to bring about the most positive outcome for you and others. Get it? Again, be glad, feel gratitude and move forward productively, and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

You Must Stop Vomiting On People!

“Does what we say matter? Does it matter to others? Does it matter to ourselves? From early times to present there’s a wealth of wise people pointing out that what we say shapes our reality. We think it and then speak it into being. What we talk about we bring about.

What we think about we bring about is an important notion. Recently, at a meeting I attended, a devout Christian stood up and quoted Proverbs 18:20. ‘A man’s belly shall be filled with the fruit of his mouth; With the increase of his lips shall he be satisfied.’

I don’t care whether you believe the Bible or not. That is not the purpose of my posts. Whatever you choose to believe or not, is up to you . Your faith is yours. I simply want to point out what all faiths and new thought leaders and thinkers have pointed out for eons.

Words Are Seeds – Be Careful What You Plant And What You Say

What we think about we bring about. What we say is what we get. The quote above is easily understood as what we say is important. What we repeatedly talk about IS what we think about. It IS what we feel about. It is what we create and experience and attract.

We can’t escape that we are responsible for our situations in life. The stories we tell daily about what happens to us, affect us. Most of us love drama. We want to tell others how we are used, abused, mistreated here, there, on the freeway, in the home and office.

By friends and by strangers; we talk about what we don’t want. We keep that morning commute skirmish alive throughout the day by repeating the tale to all who will listen. ‘Let me tell you what happened to me today!’ Blah Blah Blah we verbally vomit on others.

Life Is A Boomerang – What You Give Out You Get Back

We talk about the banks, big biz and government, gossip and the latest bad news on the internet. Our focus in not on the good we can create. We aren’t talking about how good things are, how easy it is, how beautiful life’s moments are and the many ways we are blessed.

This, however, is what we should endorse and repeat. We should speak only to bless, heal and prosper ourselves and others. Put a guard before your lips. Only command into being those things you want to bring into being! Stop talking about what is wrong!

Start talking about what is right. Practice gratitude and appreciation. Be thankful. Whatever you are talking about YOU ARE thinking about. What you think about you become. Get it? Instead, start feeling blessed and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

The Secret To All Happiness And Success Is To Treat Life As A Buffet!

“What is it that most people do that screws things up? It could be otherwise for them. They could be happy, successful, pleased and satisfied, but instead they make things worse. It is actually something people do. Let me share an analogy. Okay?

I had a buffet this morning with friends. I picked out those things I liked and those things I’d like to sample. It was delicious. When seated, if I sampled something and I enjoyed it, I ‘d go back and take more. If I didn’t enjoy it, I didn’t take any more. I left it. Simple, right?

There were those things, I could see, as I went along the buffet table I absolutely wanted to have. I put those things on my plate. There were those items I could see I didn’t want. I didn’t take any of those.  When I sat to eat, I enjoyed the food on my plate. Again, simple.

Care Enough About Yourself To Focus On The Best Of Yourself

If I wanted more I went back and got more. The one thing I never did was complain about having stuff I didn’t like. Remember, I only chose and ate what I  liked. The food I didn’t like, I left alone. If I didn’t care for something I sampled, I didn’t eat any more of it. Very simple.

The same is true when it comes to people, events, circumstances and our desires in life. Focus on what you want and what you like. Ignore, let go or leave behind that which you don’t want or don’t like, just as you would at a buffet. It’s no more complex than that. It is simple.

Take what you want and leave what you don’t. Focus on what you want and desire. Stop giving attention or energy to what you don’t want. Stop concentrating on debt and lack; poor health and bad relationships. Stop focusing on irritations, problems and troubles.

Focus On The Things That Bring You Joy And Peace

Stop telling those stories, again and again, to yourself and others, how things aren’t working out or are going wrong. Stop repeating your failures and your mistakes. Just stop! Let go. Drop them and move along. There are many other good things to focus on and enjoy.

Focus on what you want! Enjoy what you want more of. Consider all the things you’d like to include in your life and speak of those things. Think on those things. Feel good about them. Enjoy them as you would a great buffet meal. Life has many wonderful choices. Focus!

It is this simple! You become what you think about! What you focus on does expand. Thoughts are things. What you hold in your head you can hold in your hand. Energy flows where your attention goes. Think about what it is you want and create more of that! Simple!

Love The Life You Have While You Create The Life You Want

It is whatever you choose to make it. If you like it, go back for seconds and thirds, even fourths. JUST stop whining. Stop blaming. Stop accusing. Stop being a victim. Be a victor. If you choose something from the buffet you didn’t like, you don’t pick it up again.

Or do you?  You don’t sit at your table and whine and complain and scream that food item has ruined your life. Or do you? You don’t talk about it endless to others and relive it over again in your head for days, or do you?  Remember, it is ALL about what you choose to do.

If you don’t do that at a buffet, don’t do it in every day life. Stop wallowing in poor choices you may have made. Stop! Choose what you want. Focus on that. Concentrate on enjoying it. Be grateful you have or can have what you like. Choices you make are all up to you.

The Joy We Experience In Life Comes From  What We Focus On

Enjoy life. Be grateful. Concentrate on making your dreams come and make them come true! Think and speak on these things. Speak only to bless, heal and prosper. Life is a buffet. Take what you want. Leave what you don’t. Enjoy what you take. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
