What Powerful Question Can You Ask That Could Change Everything?

“What mindset or questions can you use each day, each moment, to guide you to making the right decisions? What can you ask to, move you forward and, get you closer to making what you want, happen? What is the positive mindset you need, that can best work for you?

Obviously, it will all be individual and tailored for you. However, questions direct your mind; they divide up the world into aspects of your experience you can choose to pay attention to. Using the questions I give you can make an incredible and massive difference!

Realize you can categorize, almost, anything as supportive or non-supportive. When you do this your world begins to change. ‘Does this support me? Does this serve me? Is it supportive or is this non-supportive?’  These are excellent questions to keep asking yourself.

The Remedy For Any Issue Is Learning To Ask The Right Question

Use your mind for a change! That is why you have a mind. So you can direct your efforts. Where you put your attention is where energy flows.  You want your energy flowing in productive and positive ways. Realize, that most everything you, and I, do are habits.

We are routine creatures. Research demonstrates this, so I won’t go into it again. I have in the past and in other blogs. Habits either support you in doing, and getting, what you want OR they do not. Asking whether something is supportive, or not, is a great habit!

Make it a habit. ‘Does this thought support me? Does this feeling support me? Does this behavior support me?’ If not, change it for one that is positive and does. Asking the question brings you to a choice point whereby you can make a decision. You stop being stuck.

Successful People Ask Better Questions And Get Better Results

It gives you an indication you may not be moving in the best direction. It can give you an indication that you are moving in the right direction. When do you ask it? Anytime, you feel less than glorious, are confused or engaged in a way you don’t want to be.

Get it? Start using it. You will make positive changes as you do. I’ll give you another powerful question to ask in the next blog. Meanwhile, ask and ask and ask. Get your internal guidance system working for you. Then, and this is important, be glad. FEEL glad!

Be grateful and appreciate all things. Appreciate the answers and insights. Follow the answer and the positive decisions you make. This helps you take charge and get over obstacles. If something doesn’t support positive change, what positive thought would?

If You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Correct

What can you change to make it better? Change your thoughts, feelings and behaviors to bring about the most positive outcome for you and others. Get it? Again, be glad, feel gratitude and move forward productively, and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

How To Stop Robbing Yourself Of Your Time And Energy!

“Are you ever tired and exhausted? Do you ever get fed up? Are there times when you just can’t stand things as they are? Do you wish things were different? Have you ever lost it? There is one habit that contributes to all this. Stopping it will help you out immensely.

If you regularly read my blog, you know that I am a huge proponent of those things that amplify and focus your positive energy. Energy flows where your attention goes. What you focus on is what you get. We can always use more wonderful, positive feelings. Am I right?

There are things that deplete our energy and hasten the spiral down into negativity. Some of it you know, from reading here, that how you spend your time on social media is important. It can be a waste. It can be detrimental to you. Frequently, it is less than glorious.

Awareness Is The Key To Change – Become Aware And Change

Some people post, and get caught up in, fighting over topics. They block friends, and would be friends, for having different points of views. It can get quite nasty. They waste time reading and viewing all manner of bad news. There are far better ways to use your time.

Instead of positivity, they fill their mind with negativity. If you get what you focus on, spend time on, expose yourself repeatedly to, then what on earth would you expect the return to be, Bliss? Yes, I know some people thrive on BS and creating problems for others.

Some like to instigate because it makes them feel important. It is at a cost to them and others. You can’t get your time back. If you aren’t creating what you want, right now, and for the future, you are losing that opportunity. You might want to re-consider what’s important.

If You Want Things To Change – You Must Change Some Things

Edward Everette Hale said, ‘Make it your habit not to be critical about small things.’ Lot’s of times it is those tiny, petty, incidents and things that happen throughout the day that rob us of our energy. Placing time on these, instead of letting them go, costs us.

Notice and let go, rather than notice and engage. Let less than glorious happenings of all sizes flow away like water off a duck’s back. Stop! Let go. If you entertain them you will get hooked into them. That will further deplete valuable energy and valuable time.

You won’t get your time back! That is for certain. You will have created more negative vibes and feelings. You may have created, or furthered, a negative situation for, or with, someone else. You may have escalated it. Stop the insanity. Learn to get control. Change it!

Doing The Same Thing But Expecting Different Results Is Insanity

Worse, is the event happens only once! How many times you replay it in your head, AND for others, destroys more of your time and energy! Buddha said, anger and negativity toward someone else is like drinking poison but expecting it to harm others. It harms you!

If you don’t stop, or change what you are doing, nothing will change. Where you put your focus, what you attend to daily, routinely, what you get caught up in, is governed by your habits. You have habits of attention and focus. You have preferences in what you attend to.

Instead, let it go. Find and focus on the positive no matter how small. Stay tuned to the good things. Determine to feel good regardless. Do whatever positive things you need to in order to maintain good feelings. Walk it off. Access your resourcefulness. Smile. Laugh!

Develop The Positive Habits That Support You – Let The Old Go

Take a break. Create a break state, a pause. Breathe! Sing, dance, hop or skip. Go jump up and down. Shout your affirmations. Declare your positive power. Simply, don’t get caught up in a cycle that will spiral you down. Learn to maintain the good; de-escalate the bad.

Little things add up. Negative little things add up. So do positive things? Determine how you want to live and how you want to spend the bulk of your time. Do you want to feel negative most often, or positive? It is completely up to you. Feel good. Make it your mission.

Learn that you CAN change your habits. You won’t eliminate the old ones but you will replace them. Develop new, positive, habits! How? By doing the new behaviors, repeatedly, long enough, consistently that the new behaviors become automatic. That is how.

If It Is To Be It Is Up To Me – Dedicate Yourself For Your Own Good

You have to dedicate yourself to thinking, feeling and being a new way. You begin small and do it step by step. Whenever you become aware you got caught up in a less than glorious moment, shift to a positive thought, feeling and behavior. You will get the hang of it.

Practice gratitude. Make gratitude, for anything and all things, a habit. Spend time noticing what you appreciate and what you are grateful for. It will absolutely help. Consider all events, people and situations a blessing and you will transform. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

You Fail Because Of What You Don’t Do

“People wonder why they don’t get ahead, aren’t happy and not succeeding? The struggle and try harder but continue to miss the mark or fail. Why that is, is because of where they put their attention and where they don’t. You won’t get to L A unless you head to L A.

Not only must you know your destination but you must focus on it. Imagine trying to hit a bullseye but thinking about the wall, the outer rings, wondering ‘what if I don’t hit the bullseye’, or being distracted by anything and everything that is not the bullseye. Wouldn’t work.

Would it? In order to hit the  bullseye you have to aim at the bullseye and keep your attention on it. Energy flows where attention goes. You won’t hit the bullseye if your attention and energy is anywhere else. It is the same with hitting a baseball, a golfball or your goal.

Opportunities Come To Those Who Dare – Not Those Who Wait 

If you want to make your dreams come true, your attention and energy needs to be on your dreams. You can’t be impatient, you can’t notice the lack of it, you can’t be worried by the distance from where you are to your dream is, or anything else. You focus on your dream.

To make your dream come true you must know what you want. Precisely define it. Put the correct address in your GPS if you want to get to that correct address. You have to know where you want to end up. You must focus on it to the exclusion of all else. You must.

It must become a burning desire, a white hot obsession. If it is anything less, you are not likely to commit and persist. If you don’t care enough you won’t bother to make it happen if, and when, the going gets tough. You must be excited about it and feel good about it.

You Become What You Think About – What You Focus On Expands

When you think about making it happen you should feel wonderful. You should be eager and delighted. Anything less and you probably won’t make it happen. You have to keep your aim on the bullseye and know you will hit it. You can’t doubt it or you won’t hit it. Get it?

If it is to be, it is up to you. You make it happen. It doesn’t happen to you or for you. No one gives it to you. You create it, conceive of it, believe you can do it, and you achieve it. To do that you need the right mindset. Your attitude determines your altitude.

You get the correct mindset  by doing the things I have shared with you in these blog pages, correctly, repeatedly, consistently, for long enough to make it automatic, reliable, positive habit. It’s all here. Study and apply it. Do it. Apply yourself. While you do feel grateful and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

The Secret: Everything Changes When You Do!

“Remember, perception is everything. It IS all about mindset. Everything is in your head. It is all a matter of how you look at it. If you think you can or you think you can’t, you are right. You become what you think about. What you focus on expands. It’s your choice.

True abundance comes from within. Most people think it is about getting things, but it isn’t. Yes, being, doing and having can be part of it. Happiness is not off in the future residing in that ‘perfect’ home car, mate, or job. It is here, now, inside of you. Find it. You can.

True abundance is the ability to be grateful right this instant and feel blessed. It means not needing anything. When you need something you notice the distance between you and what you need. You know it isn’t here now, because you need it. Same can be true of wants.

We Are What We Repeatedly Do – Excellence Is Is A Habit 

Enjoy what you have. Celebrate what IS. Count your blessings. Be thankful for the good and not so good times. Both contribute to your overall wellbeing. You  don’t think so. You have been brought up with preconditioned biases, that make up your chronic conditioning.

Mindset rules us. What we think about repeatedly we believe. So if we think tough times ARE tough, they are. If we think tough times are times of lessons and opportunities, they are. It is whatever we think and say about it that makes it so. We create our own reality.

When tough times come have a party. Celebrate, because it’s an opportunity to find something better in life. It certainly could be. If you always react to tough times as you always have, nothing changes. There is opportunity around you. Get it? It is up to you.

To Change Your Life You Must Change Some Things In Your Life

Perhaps, the only reason tough times are tough times is because you haven’t thought about them any differently. You always think about them the same. Tough times may change but you haven’t. Get it? You react the same. You think and feel the same. Change it up.  Be free!

Adversity can be a test. The challenge provides an opportunity to learn something great about yourself. You have the opportunity to excel. Something positive can come your way because that’s the kind of person you are. Love your life. New things happen, when you are.

You manifest. You live a life of service. You add value. Every moment is magical. You are open to receiving all the miracles and all the magic into your life, moment to moment. It is an incredible life. Live it in high vibration.  Be thrilled. Enthused. Joyful.  Love. Laugh.

We First Make Our Habits Then Our Habits Make Us 

All is good, always. Be optimistic, up beat, high vibration, filled with joy. All IS good! All, will always, be good. It has been good. Be secure. Become certain. Come to know it in every cell, every atom, every fiber of your being. Make this a new subconscious habit. Do it!

When it is a habit, it is reliable and automatic. When shit hits the fan you automatically  celebrate. You are constantly positive and remain optimistic. Instead of focusing on what is wrong, you believe it will work out and look for opportunity and solutions. You remain at ease.

You don’t let it get you down. You go have fun and enjoy yourself in spite of circumstances. You can do this because you have learned how. You have trained yourself to respond differently. If you want your life to change, you must change some things in your life.

Break The Bad Habits And Make Better Ones – You Can Do It

Change reacting badly to less than glorious times into responding resourcefully. When you do the correct thinking, feeling and acting, consistently, for a long enough duration of time, you develop new habits. You recondition yourself. SO learn to master yourself now. Take charge. Live in gratitude and delight. Everything changes when you do. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Givers Get – Go First And Receive!

How do you get what you want? How do you create it and make it happen? How do you attract it? How can you most easily transform you and your life? If you apply this principle to your daily experience you will find yourself evolving much more rapidly. Ready for this?

It is mindset. It is attitude. It is creating a new habit; new neural pathways. Whether or not it is magical, or of god or the universe, infinite intelligence or your own brain doesn’t matter to me. Believe what is appropriate for you. Every culture has a version of this.

I mentioned tithing. Biblically, the principle is to take 10% of your first efforts, your grain, your livestock, your money and put that into action for god. Again, feel free to believe as you do. The point is to earmark the first portion and put it into a particular use.

Successful People Can Look For Opportunities To Help Others

Pay god first. Pay yourself first. Give to charity. Do something wonderful with it. The principle I refer to is: GO FIRST and know that givers get. You are generous with your goods, your love, attention, peace, respect,, loyalty, friendship, time and money.

When you do this, you develop a mindset beyond scarcity and lack. When scarcity and lack doesn’t affect you, you are free to discover well-being and wealth. Get it? You reorganize your thoughts, your perceptions, your practices and your habits. You become different.

One email I received yesterday from a marvelous person and friend, Karen Barben, exemplifies her recent experience with tithing. In her case she tithed at church. I leave what you do, up to you. Here are her words. Consider how you might apply the principle in your life.

Givers Advance The World – Give Love – Peace – Understanding

‘You totally nailed something in today’s blog, and you could not possibly have known this about me, because I don’t believe that I’ve shared it. I started tithing regularly at the beginning of the year when my church had a “90-day challenge” that I participated in.

‘It ended the end of March, but I’ve kept going … The floodgates literally opened the same week that I started. Now, we are half-way through the year, and I’ve already made more to-date than my last year’s entire income. I have also started paying forward my financial’

‘blessings to others and to charities, as well, (which I only sporadically had done in the past).  It is true that the more that I give, the more that I get.  Not that I “want” anything material or physical, because I don’t  I’m so “over” the material world,’ that the extra’

Be An Excellent Giver And Become An Excellent Receiver

‘money, though appreciated, is used to help others. … I got chills when I saw your message, because you would have not had any idea that I’ve been going through that.  As well, my friend Michael, and one of my colleagues at work started doing the same thing for the

‘same “challenge” at church, and both have repeatedly remarked on how the floodgates opened with such force as they’ve never experienced before, that they were shocked.  We all were, really.  It’s truly amazing.’ Thank you for you wonderful blogs.’

I still read them early every morning before I hit the road, and oftentimes refer to them during the day.  Life is grand.’

Whether You Think You Can Or You Can’t You Are Right

There you have some of Karen’s words and experience. Remember, I am not suggesting you do anything with your money. I am suggesting you learn the principle of givers get, and GO FIRST. You make things happen by what you initiate. You put things into operation. Get it?

You use your mind and your actions in new ways. If you want to play with the experience, that is up to you. If you want to feel a bit more generous, give more of your attention, your respect, your time. Tip a little better. Help others out. How To Get More Energy And Anything You Want!

“Feeling tired? Feeling down? Feeling unmotivated? How do you get more energy when you don’t feel like it? Is there anything you can do? The answer is absolutely, yes! There is a secret principle that is hidden in the open to get more of anything you want.

Act! Take action! When you don’t feel energetic, get up and dance! Jog a little. Sit up straight. Walk around. Sing, chant, shout and yell. Think of military morning boot camp. When your system is down or depressed, super charge it. Yup, do what you don’t feel like doing.

The principle is ‘givers get’. GO FIRST! If you feel unmotivated, act! I know, you will complain, that you don’t do it, because you don’t feel like it. Right, you’ve spent a life time whining and wallowing. You have a ‘bad’ habit of not doing. Change that habit! You need to act.

If You Want To Fly You Must Take Off – If You Want To Win – Play

Act even though it is difficult. Act in spite of your mood. Do it! Build a new habit of doing. Take charge. Stop whining and excusing and blaming yourself, others, events and circumstances. Change the situation, yourself. You have to spend energy to get energy!

Take responsibility. Take charge. Step up to the plate! Swing the bat. Don’t just sit there, do something! Act as if you already have what you want. Move! If you want your life to change, you must change some things in your life. If you want peace, be peaceful. Get it?

You can’t do what you have always done and expect it to be different. You must be different. If you want faith, believe. If you want confidence, act confident. Train your brain and body to give you more of what you want. Build the habit. It is up to you!

What You Focus On Expands – You Get What You Think About

I have friends, who recently reported that due to their habit of tithing regularly, their income, this past year, more than doubled. They got back far more than they gave out. The principle of tithing is give and you will get back. Giver’s get! Give what you want back!

It doesn’t require massive action. Of course, you can be passionate and expend massive action. Simple, little steps in the right direction, can be enough. Simple, consistent, persistent, right actions, prove plenty powerful! Take them. Begin today. Make it happen!

You want energy, give it. You want money, give it. You want motivation, give it. You want respect, give it. You want love, give it. You want attention, give it. You want trust, give it. You want loyalty, give it. You want support, give it. You want cooperation, give it.

GO FIRST! Be the change you want to have! Be grateful. Have fun! Delight. It comes back to you. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

How We Can Change Our Perceptions Of Reality

Believing is seeing. Perception is everything. Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you are right. You have heard these thoughts before. Energy flows where attention goes. A change of thinking changes our perception of the world.  You create reality.

Our brain, our RAS, actually looks for matches in reality to our predominant thoughts. We see and find opportunity, otherwise missed, when we are focused on the positive. Enjoy this article on how open-mindedness and meditation affects our perceptions.

It Doesn’t Matter Where You Begin!


“It doesn’t matter where you begin. Many have begun with less than you have. What matters most is where you are going. What direction are you focused on? Someone once said, the future is most important because that is where we will spend most of our time.

Focus on what you want, not on what you don’t have. Focus on where you want to end up, not on where you started, not even where you are right now. Focus on making good happen. Focus your attention and resources on creating the you, you want most.

Enjoy the present as a means to tomorrow. Embrace right now, where you are on the journey, and take the next step toward your destination. Now becomes the next moment. When you live fully this moment you take it into the next moment. You get more back.

Focus On What Matters – What You Focus On Expands

Determine your Definite Chief Purpose or Aim. Dream big. Set the destination you know you will arrive at. NOW, concentrate on the first step that takes you there. Create the mindset, the feelings and the right actions that lead you to the next step. Step by step!

Step by step you close in on your destination. These steps should be small enough and simple enough you believe you can achieve them, and do so. They should be challenging enough, it holds your interest. If too small, and meaningless, they won’t hold your attention.

If too large you may not believe, or you may be too overwhelmed. Find the sweet spot where the goal, you currently pursue, is just the right size, and leads you to your larger destination. The most important ingredient in making things happen is to feel good.

If You Want Good In Your Future Put It Into Your Present Now

Feel ecstatic you are making things happen. Have fun. Enjoy the process. As I pointed out in my earlier blogs, keep winning along the way. Success breeds confidence. The more you do, the more you can do. You get better at making things happen. Momentum picks up.

Soon, you are making all sorts of wonderful things happen. You have moved from creating what you don’t want, to creating what you do want! You determine what happens. You design your life and live it on your terms. It all begins, now, with being positive and grateful,

It is in this moment, right now. Feel good. Delight. Help and support others. Be enthusiastic. Live, love and laugh, lots! Express your gratitude for where you are, where you have been and where you are going.  Live fully. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

What Do You See And What Are Your Missing?

“What are you missing out on because you don’t see it? You don’t realize it is there because you miss it? We see what we expect to see. We often find what we assume is there. Often, we miss that which is right there in front of us. We miss the obvious. Have you noticed?

I’ll provide a simple example. I proofread my blog. I proofread my blog numerous times. I read it out loud and I still I miss mistakes. Fortunately, I have a wonderful person,  Lindsey, who goes through it after I do. She, too, reads it. She catches mistakes that I’ve missed.

You should know this process takes place after the blog has been published and sent out. She emails me the corrections. I correct the already published blog. It doesn’t correct the one sent but corrects the blog at the website. I write in the early AM hours.

Don’t Miss Out On Something That Could Be Amazing

Because I do, I write, review, publish.  She gets it and emails me what I missed. The ideal process would be for her to review and edit first, but that doesn’t work with our schedules. I hope you understand.
I hope you are okay with typos and grammatical errors.

The  point of this example IS that I’m looking for the error but I’m not always seeing them. I miss them. Usually, words like ‘you’ and ‘your’ or ‘the’ and ‘they’ get missed. Sometimes it is an added ‘s’ or even a misspelling. There is a reason why I miss these simple errors.

I wrote it. I know what I wanted to say. My mind knows what the word should be. Even though I read it, out loud twice, I may not catch it. My eyes or my mind deceive me. I miss the typos. This is really cool in some ways because it illustrates what the mind can do.

We Don’t See Things As They Are – We See Things As We Are

Perception is everything. What we believe shapes our reality. What we expect to discover is what we discover. What we expect will happen, often does. This is true whether we look for blessings or for problems. We know what we think so we are likely to find that.

Or, miss that! If we can miss simple things like grammar and spelling errors, imagine what else we might be missing because our brain expects something else.  You might be missing  all sorts of good because you’re focused on the problem in front of you.

This is why mindset is important. This is why attention is important. Where your attention goes, energy flows. If your mind is focused on debt, you’re likely to find it. You’re likely to miss out on abundance. If you’re focused on what’s wrong, you might miss all that’s right.

What I Am Looking For Is Not Found Out There – It Is In Me

The mind can miss little things or big things. Just as when you put down your keys and then can’t find them. Even though they’re right in front of you! If you want to manifest better health, focus on health. Stop paying attention to illness. You get what you focus on.

Stop paying attention to debt. Stop paying attention to what’s wrong and start paying attention to what’s right. Put your focus on the positive and you’ll discover more positive. Put your attention on what you are grateful for and you will find more to enjoy. Stop worrying and start celebrating. In fact, celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
