Have You Been To The Mountaintop And Found What You’re Looking For?

“Too often it happens that  people journey far. They leave the city to find peace and quiet, to reflect and meditate. They travel to the cave, the mountaintop, to learn to meditate peacefully. They may spend weeks or months there. Perhaps, even more. Meditating. Peaceful.

They return to the marketplace, their town or city. They have been with the guru. They are expert meditators. They do their yoga. They practice their devotion. They light their incense and inside they go. They go into their room, their temple. and go within for peace.

BUT when someone makes a noise they get upset. They exclaim, ‘Quiet! Respect others! Can you not see I am meditating?’ They get distracted. Their peace disturbed. The inner journey put on hold while they reprimand the noisemaker. Have you ever noticed this?

You Can Attempt To Change Others Or You Can Change Yourself

If others disturb your meditation you haven’t learned to meditate yet! If you had to escape to meditate you went nowhere. Meditation is a quality. The goal is to meditate surrounded by the noise and distractions. When able, you have gone inside. Get it?

Actual meditation cannot be disturbed. Your practice can be interrupted but the meditation goes on. You have found the peace that passes all understanding. The drop of water has returned to the ocean. You are filled with bliss and joy no matter what. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Let Go Find Peace: How To End Feeling Stressed

“In today’s world there is much stress. There is nothing wrong with stress, it is our reaction or response to it that either makes it a liability or an asset. Stress can make people motivated to excel or it can debilitate and lead to dis-ease. How we are affected is up to us.

If we do nothing but react and let it build up we may find ourselves mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritual challenged. It will take its toll. One way to alleviate stress is to meditate and seek to be peaceful. Seek peace. Allow and let go. Drop judgement. Go inside.

Most of our reactions to stress are to external events, people or circumstances. Left unresolved, it piles up. All sorts of issues then may result. However, if you learn to stop, drop inside, breathe deeply and slowly and relax and let go you can free yourself of stress.

Meditation Dissolves The Invisible Walls Of Stress 

Seek peace. Think peace. Intend peace and simply breath slowly and deeply. Consider doing it for 20 minutes each day. Even a few seconds of real peace can provide hours of lasting benefit. If you can’t do 20 do less. The point is just do it. You can do something.

Throughout the day, whenever you can safely, close your eyes, think peace and breathe. Chill out. Relax for a few moments or more if you can. Whether at the office, home or at play, find moments to let go. Obviously, not while driving or operating heavy machinery. Inside the peace your mind, body and emotions will find calm. It is true.

Take time for yourself. Think nothing. If your mind wanders onto topics, gently guide it back to peace, by returning to notice your breath. Do all without judgement. Whatever is, is. Let go. Rest. Trust. You can’t do it wrong. Simply, take time for yourself to be. Get it?

Meditation Dissolves What Unawareness Causes

When you finish you can slowly open your eyes. Reorient to daily activity and notice you will take the calm, peace and tranquility with you. Feel free to express joy and gratitude. The more often you retreat into this peace the longer the benefits last. You will transform yourself. So, celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

How To Pursue Your Goals And Not Be Attached

“How do you live without desire? How do you reconcile this concept with Napoleon Hill’s principle that one must have a burning white hot desire or obsession for accomplishing one’s goals in order to achieve them. Conceive, desire, believe, persist, and achieve.

Here is how you do it. You do everything Napoleon Hill suggested you do. You develop the mindset, the attitude, the faith that you WILL, come what may, or no matter what, achieve your goal and fulfill your destiny. You will live your vision. You work it and persist.

However, how it unfolds, what it ultimately looks like you are not wedded to. You do whatever it positively takes without harming yourself or others, no stepping on toes, with faith that it will happen and let go of how it actually happens. That is not within your control.

Relax  Let Go  Enjoy  Delight Appreciate  Accept Celebrate 

This is where you give it over to the ‘universe’ to accomplish it. This is why you can confidently say, ‘I will be X, I don’t know how I will but I will be and I am glad.’ You allow anything to happen along the way and you adjust and continue without attachment or judgement.

You know in your heart that it will be whatever it will be and that everything will, because it always does, work out for the best. You don’t get caught in the details. You continue optimistically without getting hooked or caught up. You enjoy the journey each moment.

No matter what happens it is what it is. Everything is a blessing even opposition, hardship, challenge, obstacles and temporary defeat. It is all part of the adventure and you are a willing and able an explore with a positive mindset. You do what you can and you let go!

Life Is Available Only In The Present Moment – Live Each Moment

Get it? You don’t try to control things you simply do things. The results you get are always feedback. If it didn’t work you do somethings. You fail forward and learn from it, adjust and go happily on your way, having learned, having changed, having been blessed.

When everything all along the way is a blessing, no matter what it is, you live happier and healthier. You take the feedback and go on. Your attitude is aligned and congruent with who you are and what you are doing. You live in the moment. You allow each moment its magic.

Your focus is the present. You do what you can do. Your focus and concentration is being here not. A flower takes in nourishment and grows without caring or toiling.  You live happily in gratitude and with appreciation for all. You enjoy, delight and are able to, and do, celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

You Need A Positive Morning Ritual

“It is a wonderful practice to begin your day with an early morning meditation session. Upon awakening, before you are too awake, while still in the alpha state, it is easier to meditate. You are already relaxed, so it is the perfect time to spend time meditating.

A great beginning to the day starts while still in bed thinking and affirming, ‘I love my life.’ Reflect on what you are grateful for and aim on having an incredible day. Visualize your goals, look at your vision board or book, read some inspirational material and meditate.

Take time for yourself. Create a daily positive routine you engage in before doing anything else. Don’t check your phone or text or emails. Keep your mind focused on the positive and the optimistic. Think happy, serene, powerful thoughts that support you. Smile and laugh.

You Are And You Go Where Your Thoughts Take You 

Consider making this positive morning routine a habit as you would to build muscle. Condition yourself. Give yourself some positive nutrition prior to going to work, school or elsewhere. Make it a priority. Set yourself and your attitude right from the get go.

Delight. Spend 20, 30 or more minutes nurturing yourself. The benefits are incredible once you do it. Raise your consciousness. Raise your vibration! Feel incredible. Start the day with a positive charge. Discover your blessings. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

A Great Way To De-stress

“With everything going on in the world, the media, political circus, the multiple distractions in social media, the limitations one makes up in one’s own mind, it is no wonder some people are overwhelmed, confused, not able to make ends meet, and simply down and out.

There is an answer. Manage your thoughts and feelings and you begin to get different results. When you mindset is right, you feel better, take inspired action, recognize more opportunity and get better results. When you are positive things just work out more.

Meditation is a great way to regain your composure. It helps relax, destress you and find your center. Through meditation you can grow in awareness, develop your ability to focus and even control your mind. When you bring your mind back from wandering you own it.

You Can Be Beyond The Mind And Watch It Like Watching Clouds

The same is true when you shift from negative to the positive. You are growing your mental, spiritual, emotional and physical muscle. The benefits of meditation are numerous. The benefits of learning to watch your mind, let go of your mind, and control your mind, are too.

The ultimate goal in life is to feel the best you can most of your time. People pursue things, believing those might bring them happiness. You can feel better right now if you do the what make you feel better. You don’t have to wait for happiness. You can be it now!

How The Mind Helps Heal The Body

Here is a method for increasing our health and well being. We only have one mind and one body this go around,  at least, as far as we know. It makes sense to make the best use of our mind and body and to take as good care of it as possible. Imagine feeling better.

While mindfulness is a brand, the practice of meditation is of immense value. The benefits of meditation and positive thinking are worth making these a daily habit. Both of these have been shown to help us to live healthier in both mind and body. We get good results.

I enjoy sharing articles with you that can help you transform your life or at the very least help you gain a better understanding of topics and the need to create healthy daily routines and habits. Engaging in positive daily rituals will help you in many positive ways. Try it on!

It is cyclic too. Our health affects our thoughts. When you feel on top of the world you think better and clearer. Mind and body are part of the same cybernetic system. The are one, in reality, but we tend to divide them. We use mind and body to navigate the world.

A healthy mind and healthy body is obviously optimal. This is why it is important seek to improve both as best we are able. It does begin with our thinking. Maintaining a positive attitude is one of the best things you can do for yourself. So is maintaining a healthy body.

How We Can Change Our Perceptions Of Reality

Believing is seeing. Perception is everything. Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you are right. You have heard these thoughts before. Energy flows where attention goes. A change of thinking changes our perception of the world.  You create reality.

Listen To The Silence Or Fill Your Mind With Positive Thoughts: Which Is It?

“I was asked this question. ‘I find it to be a bit contradictory.
Saying “Listen to the silence” but then fill it up with positive thinking and focus on other things. So, which one is it?’ I will answer it here. Does it seem contradictory to you? It need not be contradictory.

Both are useful. You can do both at different times. Both are applicable. There is no contradiction. Music is made up, or filled up, with many notes and chords, but it is the silence between those that allows you to appreciate them. Without silence you’d have noise.

Nature is filled up with many trees and blades of grass and rocks and stones, but it is the gaps between them that allows you to notice. It is not one or the other. The river has banks on both sides. Sometimes you enjoy being on the bank. Sometimes you enjoy being in the river.

Silence Is A Music Of Its Own – Silence Is Alive

Consider a dotted line on paper or the street. There are dots and   spaces. You can focus on one or the other or both. When you focus on both it is a dotted line. If there were no spaces it would be a solid line. You can observe thoughts and the silence at the same time.

Get some rest, sometimes. You will appreciate both when you do both. Find the silence. Rest in it. Enjoy it. Find the gaps between thoughts. Look for the empty spaces. Empty yourself. Be open and allow. If you are full you can’t take any new things in. Be empty.

Listen to silence. Be still and know. Be very quiet and still and listen to your own heart. Listen to your inner wisdom. To do that, some of us have to quiet down, first. We have to notice there is silence to attend to it. Some people flit from thought to thought without rest.

Once You Accept Yourself You Become Beautiful

Then you can appreciate even more that which is there. You can enjoy the positive thoughts and feelings even more. Get it? It isn’t about excluding or having to choose one or the other, it is about both. You can sit on a river bank and silently watch leaves floating.

You can do the same with your thoughts whether positive or not. To do that you must first start observing or listening and allowing. Let go. Practice awareness. Allow and enjoy. Practice gratitude! Find delight and enjoy! Include! Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Why Meditation? Why Let Go? Why This, Why That?

“Why meditation? Why let go? Why be a witness or an observer? Why practice this awareness? Why develop this habit? Why watch your thoughts or your breath? Why learn control over your thoughts, feelings and behaviors? What is this all about or for?

When you are able to remain calm and centered in the midst of the most trying circumstances you will know exactly why you developed this habit. Learning in this manner allows you to de-stress and live in the world confidently and positively. You’re freer and enjoy more.

Why gratitude and appreciation for things you already have? Why gratitude for things you don’t have yet? Why gratitude for challenges and problems and difficult people and disappointment? Why be thankful for ‘bad’ things? Why not just be negative and sad?

No Meditation No Life – Know Meditation Know Life

When you are grateful for anything and everything you freer. If everything is a blessing you are centered and calm. You are able to respond resourcefully and rise to the occasion with clear focused thought. You know it will work out no matter what. You know it.

You know you will accept whatever is good or bad, yet be able to get through it. You know that ultimately good will prevail and you can move forward. You let go and drop worry and anxiety, anger and frustration, sadness and helplessness. You are free and are strong.

You can act to change the situation but you do so from a centered place. You can act and move with heart and compassion. You are better equipped for any situation than when hot headed or ego driven. Stress has consequences. You can’t think or behave well.

Life Begins Where And When The Fear Ends – Live Courageously

From a centered place where you can let go, forgive and forget you can move forward more easily. When you can celebrate everything there is everything to celebrate. You discover all that you want and need you have. You discover opportunity and abundance. Get it?

You make it so. Whatever you think or say is what it is or will be. Free yourself from judgements. Recognize what is is. Allow it. Only speak or declare what you want. If you call it a problem it is a problem. If you call it a blessing then it is. You decide what things are. You do!

Life is your creation. You are involved in making it whatever it is each moment. You may not be aware of this but it is true. Your life is a reflection of your thoughts. It is your projection. When you can see that you can drop that and live authentically. Live in peace and freedom, You can love and be loved. You can laugh and celebrate more. In fact, you CAN celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
