You Only Think You Think

“Thoughts are really, mostly, just past old tapes of self-talk, pictures and feelings people identify with. They are old movies. Reruns mostly. This is why you think the same thing over and over again. You have habitual, patterns of review that get triggered. New? Hardly!

Most people don’t think at all. They just run the old tapes and movies and think they are thinking. They aren’t. It isn’t new, creative, thought. It is past, conditioned habitual thoughts. People argue with themselves because they have both sides taped.

This is why people have difficulty deciding. They have both sides and they repeatedly, obsessively go back and forth. People are not these thoughts. They are not thoughts at all. They are running the old programs in new situations. You might have noticed this yourself.

You’re Where Your Thoughts Brought You And Will Be Tomorrow

It is reaction not response. It is habit. It is patterns playing over and over. This is why the statement, if you always do what you always did but expect different result it is insanity.  AND, if you always do what you always did you will always get what you already got. Get it?

It is sad but we all go through this. You can become aware of your thought habits. You can learn to direct them and shift from non-productive, negative, non-supportive thinking to productive, powerful positive thinking and begin to get better results.

You can learn to think. It takes re-education and rewiring. Transformation is possible. Stop using borrowed maps. Create new updated ones. You can become aware. You can change thought patterns and manage thoughts. You can even transcend thoughts!

The Brain Is As Strong As Its Weakest Think – Learn To Think Now

Then your entire life can begin to change for the positive. Stop living from the outdated and update and upgrade your thinking. Design your mind, your experience and your life. How Would You Build A Pyramid?

“I am building a pyramid brick by brick. As long as I keep placing bricks the process continues. If I don’t place them or stop placing them I don’t complete the pyramid. You make it happen. You know what you want. You blueprint or plan it. Then you build it. Persist.

If I get caught up in worry, fear, doubt or negativity it can slow the building process down to a complete halt. If I change my mind about what I want to build or am unclear about the design it will take longer or may not happen at all. If I am clear and dedicated I’ll do it.

I bring it about. My mindset, plan, commitment to action,  persistence, follow through to completion, gets it done. I create, or attract or purchase what I need to make it happen. A builder has a vision, plans, gathers materials and resources and then works it.

Will It The Way You Want It – That Is the Secret To It All

Be thankful you realize it is up to you. Then you no longer have to wait. Recognize you hold the power and the keys to getting what you want. Be grateful for everything all along the way. What you put out you attract back. Boomerang! Make it happen. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

It Sucks But You Aren’t Thinking Your Own Thoughts!

“I like to be challenged to think and challenge others to think. Thinking is a rare act for most people these days. Especially these days, but for all of time. Most of us live from memories. We run  old mental movies in our mind. The same old memories and thoughts.

We run the same repetitive self-talk we’ve repeated endlessly for years. It never changes but the days change. We rag on ourselves the same way. We blame others and circumstances the same way. Events and people change but our thoughts stay the same.

We live from old preconditioned thoughts we think over and over, believing them to be ‘free thought’. They aren’t. They are rules, beliefs, and opinions we accepted while growing up. We bought into them from parents, peers, experience and media of all types.

The Mind Is As Strong As Its Weakest Think

We are socially conditioned. We think we should go to school, get a job, work 40 hours a week, marry, have kids, be a good citizen because we have bought into that. In and of itself, none of that is not necessarily not good, but it can be if you accept it without choices.

Thinking and regurgitating our old pre-conditioining are two separate things. Opinion versus fact are not the same.  Most of us accept opinion as fact. This is why we are so easily deceived. We don’t bother to check for ourselves. How often do you vet sources?

We believe it because someone said it, or we heard it, read it, saw it on the internet, or TV or in movies and popular songs but we don’t fact check it. We elect officials off of platitudes and slogans and media image campaigns without checking first if they are any good.

You Become What You Think About Most Frequently

We accept so much at face value because it is repeated to us over and over again. We affirm what we are told numerous times. The same applies to our own thinking. We don’t check to actually see whether it is valid or not. Most of our own thinking is broken.

We just believe it is because we ‘think’ it. We shouldn’t! Most of our thoughts are old accepted conditioning that is now habit to think. We do it automatically. We react from habit not from new thought. We are conditioned to do this. We can change, but only if we want.

In order to change we must first become aware of it. We must recognize what we have been doing. We need to take responsibility for it and become aware when we do it next. This requires vigilance and dedication. It may seem difficult, and it can be, but gets easier.

To Change You Must Make The Unconscious Conscious – Be Aware

If you don’t do it you will continue the way you always have. If that is great and okay with you then continue. If it isn’t and you prefer to change and live more fully, abundantly, happily, heathy, wealthy and more successful then you need to make changes now. Don’t wait!

It doesn’t get easier or better the longer you wait. It only gets worse. Realize now, that you are where your thoughts have brought you. Take responsibility for everything you have and don’t have in your life. No one else is responsible for thinking your thoughts but you.

To change become aware when you find yourself thinking old negative, less than glorious, dis-empowering thoughts and change them to more powerful positive thoughts. Continue to do this until you make the new choices, the new thoughts, habit. Get it?

If You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

It is up to you and no one else. So stop blaming, excusing, and complaining and start telling the stories you want to be told. Create positive life experiences, new goals and dreams you achieve. Live, laugh, and love more. Practice gratitude. This is how you begin to change. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

How To Begin Creating Your Awesome Life!

“Don’t wait for anyone else to do it for you. You must act and make your own life great. As I said, ‘the calvary ain’t coming!’ No one but you can do it for you. Nothing in the outer world needs to change for you to make your dreams begin to come true. You need to change.

If you want your life to change you need to change things in your life. If you want different results stop doing what you habitually do and begin to do new positive, productive, powerful things that make the difference. First, create a list. Create a list of all the good things.

Write down all the things you like about your life. Write down those things you are grateful for. Put down on paper everything you love and enjoy. Focus on these. Make these the center of attention. Concentrate on these often. Never complain. Never whine.

What You Focus On Expands – You Get What You Focus On

Speak and think only to bless, heal and prosper. Center your attention on all these good things. Keep your focus there. Your energy will change. The more good energy you get the more you produce as your remained focused. This is how to claim power!

Transform yourself. Begin with the inside of your head and your outer world will follow. Begin today. Stop waiting. Stop continuing down less than glorious paths. Tap into you positive and powerful energy. Become enthused and optimistic. Release your joy and everything begins to change! Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

What And Why You Need To Prioritize

“Do you feel worn out at day’s end? Do you sometimes feel as if you work and struggle to get ahead, you are very busy, but still don’t make much progress? Do you ever feel you are spinning your wheels but not getting anywhere fast? If yes, to any of these, you need help.

People often confuse activity with accomplishment. They work harder but not smarter or more productively. Could this be you? If yes, you need to learn the secret of super successful people. They make it a point to prioritize and not get caught up in distractions.

Few watch television or spend their day on social media. They do read, they do listen to audios and they hang out with other successful people. Success rubs off. When you are around high vibe people you are influenced. You can feel the difference.

What Is Difficult At First With Practice We Will Do With Ease

They attend events and prioritize their own personal development. Success breeds confidence and more confidence, breeds more success. They also prioritize their day. They know you can’t manage time or get it back, but you can manage your priorities. They do!

Ask yourself, ‘What is important for you to do?’ List it in importance from most to least. 1st, 2nd, 3rd. Choose what is most important. No one can choose these for you. You have to make that decision. Only you can manage your priorities? What is important? List it!

Ask yourself, ‘Is this a priority?’ Most people put their time, effort and energy into nonessentials. Learn to understand what is important and moves you forward. Is watching Netflix a priority and moving you closer to your goal? If not, nix it. Choose those that do.

Start To Live As A Champion And A Winner – Stop Missing Out

Everyday, choose your own priorities. If it isn’t helping you it is hindering you. You must decide. Is ‘this’ supportive and essential or non-supportive? As you continue to do this you will find your life changing. You will get right about a lot of things.

When you realize your true value you will stop wasting time. Time you never get back. Manage your priorities. Discover the incredible difference it makes when you do. You will feel better. You’ll become more productive and positive. You will achieve your dreams and goals quicker. So do it! Enjoy the process and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Why You Should Use Affirmations

“We use affirmations to fill our mind with the thoughts we want to think on an automatic and habitual basis. We condition the mind with affirmations so we get back from our mind what we put into it, whenever we need to. Automatically and reliably! It is habit.

We make positive statements so when the going gets tough we get the benefits of our positive thinking. Just as you harvest the fruits of the seeds you planted earlier. Saying affirmations is the planting of seeds. The results you get in life are the results of your sowing.

The bottom line is you want to create positive thought habits because many of the thought habits you acquired during the growing process were not positive but limiting. Years of less than optimal programming filled the mind. Affirmations replace that!

I Believe In Myself And My Abilities – I Have Unlimited Potential

Affirmations are the new programming and the new programming instructions for how you choose to now live your life. You decide. you affirm it , you make it happen. Affirmations are the gas in your vehicle. They provide the necessary mental rocket fuel to take off.

What most people don’t understand correctly, is we already use affirmations to great effect to get exactly what we don’t want. Consider worry as negative planning. How we think and speak on a routine basis creates our experience. We live from our thoughts.

More about this in the next blog. For now. Practice affirmations daily. Put them to work for you as suggested in the last blog. Focus on things you are grateful for and create a daily list. Affirm your gratitude list everyday, too. Out loud, when alone works wonders! Enjoy, delight and celebrate everything!”Rex Sikes

Do This When You Are Gobsmacked By A Block!

“You’ve encountered a block or an obstacle. You feel yuk. Your feelings, thoughts, and your energy are less than glorious. You want to feel better. What to do? Here’s how you can begin to get free and overcome these challenges. You can move forward. Are you ready?

Keep in mind for manifesting and creating what you want, the goal is to feel the best you can all the time. When you feel good you think clearer. You take action and don’t wallow. Some people don’t believe you can feel good all the time. That is their belief. It is up to you.

You certainly can feel good most of the time. The practical work is to feel as best you are able. If you are down and out, make it your goal to feel a little bit better. All you have to do is feel a bit better. That moves you in the correct direction. Inch by inch you get there.

Whether You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You’re Right

It is too large a leap to go from down and out to absolutely fantastic. It may be possible, but if you are unable to do it,  don’t get down on yourself. It’s natural to incrementally change your emotional state bit by bit, through time. Just do something to feel a bit better.

Talk a walk, go for a swim, read a book, listen to music, hang with positive friends, work in the garden, exercise, yoga, get a massage, listen to an inspiring audio. Simply do something that helps you feel better! It isn’t the amount of better, it is the direction you move in.

Blocks and dips and dives are there to provide contrast. They are there to learn from, go through, and learn to go through, unscathed. These are opportunities. We have been conditioned to avoid, to run, and attempt to eliminate disappointment and challenges. STOP IT!

Drop By Drop The Tub Fills –  Step By Step You Get There

How you learn to go through these determines how much joy you experience in your life. If anything can upset the apple cart, you will always be victim to circumstances, thoughts and feelings. You will be like a cork bobbing in the water. Going the way the current goes.

When you learn to take charge of yourself, and consider everything an opportunity and a blessing, then no matter what happens you can move forward undeterred. At worst, you make yourself feel a bit better. It’s up to you and no one else. Only you, can change you.

Take control of your thinking. It is much easier once you’ve built the habit of filling your mind daily with positive thoughts. It is easier when you’ve already built the habit of thinking well, feeling good and acting right. That is why we read, affirm, listen, and attend events.

The More We  Do The More We Are Able To Do – Take An Action

Condition yourself now. Begin. The going may be slow at first to over come the inertia of the habit of being stuck, but you will do it as you stick with it. Then it gets easier and easier. You may not be able to lift 50 lbs but through exercise, eventually you will be able to, and more.

Get it? That is how we do it. You may have heard this before and this is why. It works! This is how you will do it. Become aware. Take charge of your thinking and feeling. Notice when you feel yuk. Embrace the opportunity to change. You got a signal to change.

Be glad you noticed! Take action! Be glad you took a step! Persist. Be grateful and things will change. Feel the best you are able. Keep going. Inch by inch. Fill your mind. Surround yourself with happy, successful people you can learn from. Do something positive. Help someone else. Smile more. All will be good. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
