How To Stop Screwing Everything Up!

“When considering you, circumstances, other people, all events and your life there is something you must stop doing if you want to get ahead and accomplish you goals and dreams. If you want to make your dreams come true you need to make some important changes.

First, you absolutely must stop victim mentality! Stop putting any energy or attention on your “story” of why things are tough, bad, not happening or causing you problems. Drop this thinking like a hot potato! It perpetuates the problems! It doesn’t lead to achievement.

Stop it! Let it go. Put a guard before your thoughts and lips. Speak only what you want and about what is positive. Put your energy into describing what you want to bring about, not why you can’t. Control your self talk and what you tell, share or discuss, with others!

If You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

Problem thinking is self-defeating and it is self-fulfilling. Get it? Stop creating more of the problem life you want to eliminate and start creating the life you want. Accentuate the positive. Energy flows where your attention goes. Speak only to bless, heal and prosper!

Tell a new and different story. Stop blaming and excusing and living as a victim. Live as a victor! Life is a process, not frozen. Reframe events and circumstances. Assign a different meaning to behaviors you don’t appreciate in self or other. You are learning and evolving.

Focus on what you want. Talk about it as if you are already making it happen and you already have it! Learn to live, speak and ‘act as if’ it is already your reality. What you think about you bring about. Start finding the silver linings and blessing in all. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Stop Worry And The Negative Planning: Become Effective!

“Worry is thinking about what you don’t want to happen. Whatever you focus on and spend time on is what you end up getting more back of. It means most of your time is spent on negative things not working out, instead of on solutions and making solutions happen.

You are programming your mind when you worry. You are programming your mind when you focus on the positive. Either way you get what you focus on. You plan for it. You plan for the worst, or you plan for the best. Get it? It is how you use your mind. It matters!

It is always a choice. Even though, for some people, it doesn’t seem like a choice.  One of the best ways to counteract worry is through gratitude. Gratitude can, and does, change everything! When you begin to appreciate anything and everything, everything changes.

Whether You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You’re Right

Your thoughts and feelings change. Your energy changes. Your behaviors change.  When you are able to find the sliver lining or the golden nuggets in  all situations, you transform yourself from one who worries and attracts negativity to one who is positive.

You go from in-effective to effective. You get ‘at cause’. You  take charge and no longer let unconscious habits run you. You create a new habit of positivity, power and solution focused thinking. What’s The First Thing I Should Do When Crap Explodes?

“Let’s face it. Crap happens. Okay, I could have chosen a stronger word. It does. What to do when it happens? What can you do? What might you do? What should you do? How can you go from crap to creating something wonderful. If not wonderful, at least better?

Something happens. It sucks. If you, or I, think ‘I don’t want this…’ then what should my next thought be? If I feel yucky or discover I am thinking negative thoughts, what should my next step be, once I notice this is not at all what I want. I absolutely don’t want this!

What is the question I need to ask? Obviously, it is ‘WHAT DO I WANT?’ ‘What do I want instead of this?’ I know what I don’t want so let me get absolutely clear on what I do want. When I know for certain what I do want, I can work to begin to bring that about.

If What You’re Doing Isn’t Working – Do Anything Else – Anything

Get it? I can shape my mindset, sharpen my tools and go after what I want. Focus on what I want to make that happen and stop thinking, or worrying, about what I do not want. Energy flows where attention goes. Put all of the attention on what I do want. Make that happen.

Keep asking. ‘What do I want?’  Don’t settle for less. Let, ‘what do I want’, guide you in all situations. Think of it as a guide. ‘What do I want from this experience?’ ‘ What do I want to get by going to this party?’ ‘What do I want in this job?” Let it guide you positively.

As you routinely and regularly ask this question, and focus on what you want and making that happen, you build a powerful new thought habit. Realize, you not only ask the question, but take steps in making changes. Any positive step, is a step in the right direction.

If You Always Do What You Always Did – You Get What You Got

If what you are doing isn’t working, then do anything else! Decide what you want, and move in that direction. Inch by inch, if necessary. CHANGE what you have been paying attention to. Begin to positively look at creating something good. Get it?

Stop making the crap happen and make the good stuff happen. It is all in your hands and within your abilities. You are already a powerful creator, as evidenced by you, manifesting everything you don’t want. Now, switch it to manifesting what you do want, instead. Get it?

Be grateful as you realize, more and more, you create, and are responsible, for everything in your life. You may not create the weather or the economy, but you are responsible for how you react, or respond, to outside influences. Recognize this, and become even more grateful. Gratitude will change it all. Celebrate everything!” RexSikes

How Your Self Talk Affects You Good And Bad!

“Happiness is a left brain function. It is directly tied to what you say to yourself on the inside. Speech is left brain, too. We’re as happy as our self talk is happy and positive. We’re as happy as our thoughts and pictures. We’re as happy as the story we routinely tell ourselves.

We think in pictures more than words. ‘A picture is worth 1000 words’. We make pictures, both inside and outside of our awareness, and describe those images. We also describe what we experience and make internal images.  Words bridge the inner and the outer.

That’s why we create what we think and speak. Importance has been given to our words as a creative force from ancient times. Words are used to describe our mental blueprints. We translate an idea into action, for ourselves and for others, through the words we choose.

What You Say Is What You Get – Control Your Self Talk

The stories we tell ourselves are important. They affect us! We need to tell ourselves better stories if we want our lives to improve. We need to speak more kindly to ourselves, silently and out loud. We need to monitor and improve our self talk, and our talk to others.

You bring about what you think about. What you focus on expands. What you see, say and feel IS what you get. You either reinforce the crap in your life by your thoughts, words and deeds or you make things better by your thoughts, words and deeds. It’s mindset first!

If you’re feeling crappy you’re imagining things as crappy. You’re seeing crappy things inside and out AND saying crappy things to yourself and others. That’s why you feel crappy. You deserve better! You can change all that, by changing what you’re doing inside!

What You See Is What You Get – Visualize Only Positive Good

When you do have positive, mental images and nurturing self talk you feel good. Positive feelings arise. You can also create positive feelings, by making positive mental images and self talk, deliberately. This is called visualization and affirmations. See, speak and hear!

Every day, deliberately imagine what you want for yourself. Imagine the good you desire, as if you already have it. Affirm and declare it with words and your physical energy. Feel it, Be passionate and emotional about it. Enjoy it! Be thrilled and eager. Savor it!

Command yourself to be who and what you want to be. Imagine and feel that. Every day, see it. Command yourself to become that. Affirm that you are it. Declare it done! On the inside, live it. Make it real. Walk it about, live it in daily life. Act as if. Imagine fully. Get it?

What You Feel Is What You Get – Feel Your Best – Act As If

Repeated visualizing and affirming get your mind to work for you instead of you working for it. Make things happen. Get control over those words you already are saying to yourself. Stop talking about what you don’t want. Only affirm what you DO want to reinforce.

PAY ATTENTION to your words. Speak ONLY to bless, heal and prosper. Make them positive. The words you use are powerful, so use them wisely. Use everything you have in a positive and powerful way. Practice gratitude. Be delighted in the process and your progress. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Listen To The Silence Or Fill Your Mind With Positive Thoughts: Which Is It?

“I was asked this question. ‘I find it to be a bit contradictory.
Saying “Listen to the silence” but then fill it up with positive thinking and focus on other things. So, which one is it?’ I will answer it here. Does it seem contradictory to you? It need not be contradictory.

Both are useful. You can do both at different times. Both are applicable. There is no contradiction. Music is made up, or filled up, with many notes and chords, but it is the silence between those that allows you to appreciate them. Without silence you’d have noise.

Nature is filled up with many trees and blades of grass and rocks and stones, but it is the gaps between them that allows you to notice. It is not one or the other. The river has banks on both sides. Sometimes you enjoy being on the bank. Sometimes you enjoy being in the river.

Silence Is A Music Of Its Own – Silence Is Alive

Consider a dotted line on paper or the street. There are dots and   spaces. You can focus on one or the other or both. When you focus on both it is a dotted line. If there were no spaces it would be a solid line. You can observe thoughts and the silence at the same time.

Get some rest, sometimes. You will appreciate both when you do both. Find the silence. Rest in it. Enjoy it. Find the gaps between thoughts. Look for the empty spaces. Empty yourself. Be open and allow. If you are full you can’t take any new things in. Be empty.

Listen to silence. Be still and know. Be very quiet and still and listen to your own heart. Listen to your inner wisdom. To do that, some of us have to quiet down, first. We have to notice there is silence to attend to it. Some people flit from thought to thought without rest.

Once You Accept Yourself You Become Beautiful

Then you can appreciate even more that which is there. You can enjoy the positive thoughts and feelings even more. Get it? It isn’t about excluding or having to choose one or the other, it is about both. You can sit on a river bank and silently watch leaves floating.

You can do the same with your thoughts whether positive or not. To do that you must first start observing or listening and allowing. Let go. Practice awareness. Allow and enjoy. Practice gratitude! Find delight and enjoy! Include! Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
