To Succeed You Must Tell A Different Story!

“Stop telling the same old story of why things don’t work they way your would like. Stop it. Zip your lips. Stop thinking it. Stop speaking it. Enough already. You create your life circumstances through the stories you tell. How so? You get what you focus on! Get it?

While you may not wish to own up to this, your present life experience, the results you are getting, favorable or not, are due to your previous thoughts, words and actions. What you think determines what you do or not do. Get it? You create everything!

Until you get this major point you are bound to perpetuate a lot of what you’d rather not have. If you are getting a lot of what you don’t want and not enough of what you do want, then you need to make some real changes. They can be small but you need to make them.

You Become What You Think About Most Frequently

First change to make is to begin telling a brand new story. Think and speak only of how things already are the way you want them to be.  Stop reinforcing old things you want to change. Begin reinforcing the positive change you want to have.

Stop speaking about what is wrong. Begin speaking, with enthusiasm and passion and excitement, about what is right!  ‘Act As If’ you are already do have the future good you want in your life. You can pretend anything and master it. You can fake it till you make it.

Act As If that future you, does all the things necessary to succeed. You think right, feel good and take the right actions. Start telling that story of how you do positively accomplish things. Repeat the story over and over to yourself. Write it out. Share with others.

What You Say Is What You Get – What You Focus On Expands

You aren’t lying you are in the process of making it happen. You are bringing it about with your positive attitude and actions. Get it. You can share how you are learning to make good things result! JUST stop talking about all the crap, negativity and distractions. Get it?

Talk about nothing else. but what you want more of. Create a new story for the person you are. Put an end to the old story you have told for so long. Think, ‘I’ve had enough of that crap already!’ Tell the new story. Create it and live it! Think it, write it, live it and be it

Little bit by little bit your life and circumstances will improve. When you improve your story you will get better results! Be glad. Be grateful. Have fun. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

A Powerful Yet Easy Way To Accomplish More Doing Less!

“You have a change you want to make but you don’t feel much like doing it. Yet you know you should. What to do? Is there a way to begin getting things done, accomplishing more, without getting burned out and giving up? Yes, there is! Read on and learn.

Whatever you want to do, whatever change you want to make for yourself, whether it’s personal or a task you want to accomplish, do some small part of it right away. Commit. Make sure you do something within 24 hours. 48 hours at the most. Just do it!

Do something small enough to begin right where you are. Don’t wait. Really, don’t let 24 hours pass without taking a small action. Want to clean your office?  Heck, throw out a magazine, or organize your pens. Anything that beings the process. THAT, you can do, right?

The More We Do The More We Can Do – Just Begin It! – Do It

It is all step by step, inch by inch. You don’t need to take massive action to get massive results. It is preferable to take minimum action to massive results. That is the 80/20 notion. Do 20% to get 80%. Okay, so begin doing something. Then do another small something.

Soon you will have completed the task. Once you begin it and do a few small things, it is more likely you will wish to continue. Motivation comes from doing, not from waiting. Get it? Do it! Do it right away. As soon as you can after you made the decision. Act on it.

You will soon find, if you work this way, you’ll be so much more productive. You’ll develop habits that support you. A 1% increase daily amounts to 365% increase in a year. That’s a great return on investment. So do a little each day and you will accomplish a lot! All the while you are doing so, celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Do You Think The World Is Ending?

“Lots of terrible things going on in the world. According to some we are in the last days. Society appears to be falling apart. The weather is an issue. So many bad things happening all at once. Is there any chance we are at the end as we know it? Can we survive?

My son asked me if I thought the world was ending. I asked him if he did and why. He said, ‘yes, could be, with all the storms and fires and bad stuff happening in the world. There is so much bad going on.’ For some people, my son has a point.

I gently pointed out that while it seemed dire, we get news of bad events, daily, from a variety of media sources; news, music, movies, TV talk shows, gossip, social media, etc. We crane our necks at accidents, and are focused on disasters near and far. Aren’t we?

It All Depends Where You Focus Your Attention

Still, when it boils down to it, there are far more days of good weather, than bad weather. There are far more good events, than bad events happening in the world. There are far more good people, than bad, or most likely all the rest of us would already be dead.

All dictators and terrorists of the past are dead and gone. The current ones will be, too, someday. So no, I don’t think the world is ending. People think it is because that’s what they’re conditioned to believe. It’s all about perspective. It’s all about what fills our minds.

It’s all about who you listen to. Media is designed to part us with our dollars and to create a certain thinking citizenry. It is a form of mind control. It’s designed to distract and misinform. It’s all about painting the worst possible scenarios. That keeps us off balance, un-united.

You Get What You Focus On – What You Focus On Expands

Keep in mind, bad news sells. People invest hard earned savings buying headline news gossip rags at the supermarket checkout. It is a habit and a passion of people. If you are busy being worried, filled with fear and divided among yourselves, you will never be in charge.

If you spend your time arguing over the ‘truth’ or the ‘correct’ political choices, or ‘climate change’ or ‘race and gender, and citizenship issues’  you will never singularly be powerful enough to challenge the status quo. You will never unite with others.

Some issues do deserve some of our attention. We each and all should work together to right wrongs and help all people live better lives all around the world. We could stand to become less selfish and more accepting. We could be more generous and helpful. Still…

Focus On Good Habits You Want To Do Not Bad Habits You Don’t

Each of us must STOP drinking the negative ‘sugary drink’ and begin to realize life is what you make of it. If storms come, of any kind, if you are prepared and wise and smart about it, you will prevail. You can weather all storms of nature, economics, and war.

You will be triumphant in  your personal daily struggles if you learn to take charge of your thoughts, feelings and actions. If you decide to take charge of your life and be responsible for whatever is, then you can start creating what you want. Stop focusing on the crap.

Recognize the crap is there to help you determine what you want instead of the crap. Put your attention and focus and energy on what you want instead. Think and feel and work to bring about the good things you want for yourself and the world.  It’s up to each of us!

It Is Time To Wake Up

If you don’t take charge and control your thoughts and your life then you are already controlled by someone else. They may not have your best interests in their heart. So you need to be sure you are in charge. It’s the time to cut loose from bad news and become free.

Live full and free. Stop being afraid and instead, live the life you choose to live. Make the good things happen by your efforts. Be a victor not a victim! Do it. Make it how you want it to be. Stop fearing. Stop wishing. Stop waiting. Stop whining. Start doing!

Take charge and design a positive life that you want and that is good for everyone else too. Make you, your life, and your world better. Only you can do it. It is up to each one of us to do what we can. If you don’t, then you won’t and you’ll stay a victim.

No the world isn’t ending it is just beginning.

The Difference In Rich And Poor Thinking Makes The Difference!

“The wealthy, tend to grow up with examples of privilege and prosperity, of having and of having more. Many grow up around deal making and accumulation. Their mindset, developed from early on is ‘If I want it, I can have it.’ They think, ‘it is mine, I deserve it.’ So it is.

The rest grow up in differing backgrounds. Some have more, many have little. They grow up with struggle. They learn, ‘work hard and try to get ahead.’ Get a good steady job and maybe you can retire with something  if you work hard enough. You can become self made.

Their mindset is often of poverty and lack. They didn’t have much and often had to limit spending or tighten their belts. They may resent the wealthy as much as the wealthy have disdain for the poor. The rich and the not rich are worlds apart, in mindset and practice.

Whether You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

Not all rich people are jerks. Not all poor people are lazy. Stereotypes abound. We must get past these. Where the rich have advantage we can learn from. Their mindset is truly one of entitlement. ‘I was born to this so I deserve this. I always get my way.’

When one can think like that and not be selfish or a prick one can make incredible things happen. If one can embody the idea that, ‘I can make things happen and I can get things because of the type of person I am’, one is more inclined to do so. It can be very positive.

Working hard and steady is very positive too. We should take the best attributes from both sides and apply them. Just eliminate the nasty bits. Maintain a positive ‘I can do it’ attitude. ‘I can make it happen. I am worthy. I deserve it.’ And you can.  Mindset matters.

You Become What You Think About Most Of The Time

Be generous too. Be kind and giving. Help yourself out and help others, Privilege sucks, if one thinks one is better than anyone else. That same attitude can exist with the poor, as well. Never imagine yourself as better than another. Simply be the best you, you can be.

I’ll add some thoughts in another blog. Meanwhile, practice gratitude. Be thankful for what little or lot you have. Enjoy yourself, your family and friends, your time, your place, your things. Be grateful for all of it. Delight in all your experiences. Your problems too. When you live with gratitude you can transform all of it. Celebrate everything! Rex Sikes

How To Make The Changes You Haven’t Been Getting

“Life not going the way you hoped? You think you are doing everything right, everything you can do, but things turn sour. What is going on with that? Can you get what you want without all the drama and upheavals?  Responsibility is most likely the issue.

In today’s age, few people seem to want to take responsibility for anything. Blaming and accusing others while making excuses for ourselves seems to rule. ‘I wasn’t late. It was the traffic!’ ‘It isn’t my fault. My parents never taught me.’ ‘Damn corporations!’ Get it?

We have a tendency to shift the responsibility away from ourselves. We don’t hold ourselves accountable. If we really want to change and create the best life ever, this is an important area to begin to make some changes in. Each of us needs to live to a higher standard.

Distance Yourself From Negativity And Beautiful Things Happen 

IF things aren’t going the way you hope, then the responsible thing to do is to accept 100% responsibility for any, and all, results you are getting, or not getting. When things go bad it is time to reflect on our thoughts and behaviors, not accuse and blame others. Reflect!

If things aren’t going the way that you hope, or the way that you would like them to, STOP and look at what you were vibrating. What are you thinking and feeling? What are your predominant thoughts in or outside of your awareness? Analyze your thoughts and feelings.

Look to yourself so you can change yourself, and your thoughts and your feelings. Stop blaming outer circumstances and others. Change your thoughts, your feelings and your actions. Accept responsibility and become accountable for what you do, or don’t do. Get it?

Either You Run The Day Or The Day Runs You

It is all on you. By deciding to be accountable you put yourself in the driver’s seat. You take charge. Your circumstance isn’t up to, or on, anyone or anything else. It is all completely up to you. Whether you do it, or not. Whether you make it happen, or not. It is all your doing.

Yes, many people don’t want to accept that. They haven’t lived that way, so making this change seems difficult. That’s right, it SEEMS difficult. Once you begin the process, it gets easier and easier. It is mental conditioning. Like anything else, it gets easier as you do it.

Consider this: for years and years and years you have lived habitual, chronic, less than glorious, limited thinking and beliefs, feelings and actions. Then you discover the Law Of Attraction and positive thinking and think everything will magically change. You wish it.

All Things Are Difficult Before They Are Easy 

You hope that spending 10 minutes, or so, each day thinking positive about what you want, will change everything. You do it for awhile but at the first speed bump, if you are like many, throw in the towel. They give up. They blame it and claim it didn’t work. Get it? Do you?

That is wishful thinking. The TRUTH is, it requires a reconditioning of your thinking. How quickly things change is up to you. It could happen almost instantaneously. Usually, it requires more time. Just as planting a seed takes time to develop and grow and blossom.

The promise of the Law Of Attraction is that the PREDOMINANT thought in your mind, is what you will make happen. It is what you are thinking about most often that you become, do and have. You become what you think about most frequently. Get it? Do you?

What You Think About Most Often You Become

What are your most often thoughts? What do you spend most of your time attending to? Is what you want a burning desire? Is it an obsession? Are you mostly concentrating on the good you desire and imagining how good it feels to have that right now, or not?

IF, most of the time, you’re thinking distractions, petty annoyances; the traffic, weather, gossip, blaming government, others. the media, and the weather, THEN you are spending your time with less than glorious elements, negative and wasted thoughts. Its your time!

If you are noticing the distance between where you are and what you want, you are focused on the lack, and on not having it. You are concentrated on how you don’t have what you wanted; how far a distance it is, until you get there. So that’s what continue to create. 

Feelings Are The Driver – You Choose What To Feel – Feel Great

Get it? It is all up to you, not the environment or others, to make happen what you want to make happen. I’ll share more next blog but for now get used to the idea of taking 100% responsibility for everything in your life, good or bad. That decision is life changing!

Everything can instantly change the moment you make a powerful decision to take charge. I don’t mean suddenly rainbows and fairy dust appear. I mean you assume control of your life and from that starting point you are ABLE to make changes you weren’t before.

When you get that it is you doing it, everything becomes different. As long as others do it to you, you are a victim. You are tossed around like a rudderless, and powerless, boat on the sea. You need to operate from your own strength and power. When you do, everything does begin to change! Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

‘How Come I’m So Stupid?’ Ever Thought That?

Would you like to learn to manage your thoughts and feelings, or would you rather ask “how come I am so stupid?” Who would ask that and why? Yet, people do all the time. They ask themselves terrible questions which don’t make them feel very good.

Your brain doesn’t care what you ask it. It doesn’t judge. It doesn’t even know how to judge or make discriminations. It just does what it is told. Well, actually, it just REALLY does what it has been conditioned to do. Yup, conditioning is automatic and reliable.

That is why we think, feel and do things we don’t want to. That is why we feel stupid, unloved, and worthless. That is why we procrastinate or ‘sabotage’ our efforts. We don’t really sabotage we just do what we were programmed to do, until we change it, that is.

Your Attitude Determines Your Altitude 

And change it you must, if you want it get ahead. If you want to be happier, healthier, wealthier and wiser, even sexier and a whole lot more fun, then you must change your mental conditioning. You must re-program or re-condition yourself. You have to learn new habits.

To Make Room For New Things Get Rid Of The Old

“You want to create newness in your life. You want a satisfying career, more fulfilling relationships, money flowing in, and better things, right? You’d like to live the good life, a life of your dreams; made by your own design. You can. You will. If you make room.

A biblical quote attributed to Jesus reads, ‘Neither do people pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.’ Think on that.

If you suddenly got a truck load of new furniture by surprise, you won it on a game show, what do you do with your old furniture? You have to move it out to make room for the new furniture, right? It only, makes sense, doesn’t it. It is obvious, right. You’d move it out.

Want Your Life To Change – You Must Change Things In Your Life

Consider this: You want a new life. What do you do with the old one? You want to be free, have fun, live abundantly, yes? Then you must make room for it. You must clear out the old, limiting beliefs, thoughts, feelings and actions to make room for the new.

Two forms of matter, furniture or thoughts, cannot occupy the same space at the same time. You need to get rid of the old. The new wine needs to take up space in new wine skins. You need to make some inner changes to have some outer changes. Change your thinking.

Rid yourself of what holds you back, that which takes up space, and prevents you from being, doing and having everything you want. If you don’t know how, you need to learn how. If you haven’t done it you must do it. Create room for your best life! Only you can.

Replace Less Than Glorious Feelings With New Supportive Ones

Do it from a positive place, not a negative one. Focus on what you want, not on what you eliminate. Promote the new, positive beliefs while letting old, limiting beliefs go. Uplift yourself, your life and the people in your life, at all times. Become more positive and optimistic.

The Secret: Everything Changes When You Do!

“Remember, perception is everything. It IS all about mindset. Everything is in your head. It is all a matter of how you look at it. If you think you can or you think you can’t, you are right. You become what you think about. What you focus on expands. It’s your choice.

True abundance comes from within. Most people think it is about getting things, but it isn’t. Yes, being, doing and having can be part of it. Happiness is not off in the future residing in that ‘perfect’ home car, mate, or job. It is here, now, inside of you. Find it. You can.

True abundance is the ability to be grateful right this instant and feel blessed. It means not needing anything. When you need something you notice the distance between you and what you need. You know it isn’t here now, because you need it. Same can be true of wants.

We Are What We Repeatedly Do – Excellence Is Is A Habit 

Enjoy what you have. Celebrate what IS. Count your blessings. Be thankful for the good and not so good times. Both contribute to your overall wellbeing. You  don’t think so. You have been brought up with preconditioned biases, that make up your chronic conditioning.

Mindset rules us. What we think about repeatedly we believe. So if we think tough times ARE tough, they are. If we think tough times are times of lessons and opportunities, they are. It is whatever we think and say about it that makes it so. We create our own reality.

When tough times come have a party. Celebrate, because it’s an opportunity to find something better in life. It certainly could be. If you always react to tough times as you always have, nothing changes. There is opportunity around you. Get it? It is up to you.

To Change Your Life You Must Change Some Things In Your Life

Perhaps, the only reason tough times are tough times is because you haven’t thought about them any differently. You always think about them the same. Tough times may change but you haven’t. Get it? You react the same. You think and feel the same. Change it up.  Be free!

Adversity can be a test. The challenge provides an opportunity to learn something great about yourself. You have the opportunity to excel. Something positive can come your way because that’s the kind of person you are. Love your life. New things happen, when you are.

You manifest. You live a life of service. You add value. Every moment is magical. You are open to receiving all the miracles and all the magic into your life, moment to moment. It is an incredible life. Live it in high vibration.  Be thrilled. Enthused. Joyful.  Love. Laugh.

We First Make Our Habits Then Our Habits Make Us 

All is good, always. Be optimistic, up beat, high vibration, filled with joy. All IS good! All, will always, be good. It has been good. Be secure. Become certain. Come to know it in every cell, every atom, every fiber of your being. Make this a new subconscious habit. Do it!

When it is a habit, it is reliable and automatic. When shit hits the fan you automatically  celebrate. You are constantly positive and remain optimistic. Instead of focusing on what is wrong, you believe it will work out and look for opportunity and solutions. You remain at ease.

You don’t let it get you down. You go have fun and enjoy yourself in spite of circumstances. You can do this because you have learned how. You have trained yourself to respond differently. If you want your life to change, you must change some things in your life.

Break The Bad Habits And Make Better Ones – You Can Do It

Change reacting badly to less than glorious times into responding resourcefully. When you do the correct thinking, feeling and acting, consistently, for a long enough duration of time, you develop new habits. You recondition yourself. SO learn to master yourself now. Take charge. Live in gratitude and delight. Everything changes when you do. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

It is important to get proper, qualified, coaching right from the start. It is important to practice, correctly, right from the start. Given that, what else can one do to learn and grow positively, more easily and quickly? Practice maintaining a positive attitude in all things!

A positive attitude does not mean ignoring the negative. It means using the negative to get to the positive. When a negative thought occurs shift to the positive. If you think something you don’t want, or feel bad, once you become aware, change it, to what you do want.

Whether You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

Positive thinking means you take into account contingencies, so that you have plans, in case things don’t go the way you want. It is not airy fairy ‘I can walk on water’ or ‘I can fly’ mentality. It is, ‘I could learn how to do these things with the right know how and equipment.’

It is knowing how to pursue your goals and dreams and remaining faithful to them, when the going gets tough. It is learning and knowing that you can get through the tough times by emphasizing your resources and putting them into action. It is thinking right.

It is feeling right. It is doing the right things. Negative thinking doesn’t do this. Correct, positive thinking does. It is not sitting in your room thinking ‘breakfast will appear’ or that the food in the fridge will somehow cook itself. It is doing it yourself. It is action.

Negative Thoughts Hold You Back – Nothing Else Holds You Back

It is doing it with the right attitude. Many people are mistaken about positive thinking. I see articles and videos bad rapping it because they misunderstand what it is and the purpose of it. They miss out. Positive thinking IS one of the most powerful things you can do!

Don’t miss out. Correctly practice! Don’t believe the positive thinking is a scam people. Believe in yourself! Go back and read through my blog posts. Study them. Apply the principles and practices and you will powerfully transform your life! You will.

If you apply them correctly you can learn to be, do and have almost anything you want. You will learn how to make things happen. Then it is all up to you. Positive thinking means becoming smarter and wiser. It means being dedicated or committed. It means persistence.

Replace Negative Thoughts With Positive And Get Positive Results

The best way to practice is to have fun. Be dedicated. Keep an open mind. Be intense, yet, work at it in a relaxed, positive, energetic way. Passion and optimism make a big difference. Pursue passionately. Bring positive energy and high vibration to everything you do.

Your life changes when you feel incredible. Delight and enjoy! Practice feeling your best. Transform less than glorious thoughts and feelings into better and more glorious ones. Practice gratitude and expressing it. Practicing always speaking positively about yourself, your life, events and others. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Is Media Trying To Addict You And Dumb You Down?

“Lots of news. Lots happening. Daily breaking news. Media messages bombard us on TV, newspapers, blogs, internet, social media. We are hit with thousands of messages every moment. We can’t escape it any more than we can escape microwaves and cell towers.

Some think the media manipulates us. It could be that is accurate. It can try, at least. It can wear us down so we are apathetic and don’t care anymore. A lie repeated often enough can be substituted as the truth. We get dumber, not smarter. Yes, it can have this affect.

It may be that it’s designed to make us feel helpless or hopeless. It may be done to control our thinking; tell us what to think and believe. We are products of our family, peer groups and society. Manipulation is not that big of a stretch, to think it not possible.

Simplify Your Life – Learn To Say No – Keep Your Power

However, it doesn’t control you, unless you let it. If you let it run your thoughts, then, yes, perhaps, it has that power to influence. It can’t control you, but it may influence you. If you don’t let it, it can’t. You are in charge. There is a question you might ask about media.

Do I feel more empowered and in charge by what I see and hear daily or do I feel more helpless and hopeless? Evaluate the affect you think it has on you. If you feel less than glorious, less in charge, more helpless and hopeless, then you can act to change it.

There is no reason to remain a victim. Pay attention. Everything is designed to make you an addict. Food additives, MSG, HFCS, and others in processed food. Nicotine in cigarettes. Alcohol. Media which includes movies, books and music. They want us consuming.

Want More Time Freedom Energy And Money – Start Saying No

People are addicted to news. People are addicted to BAD news. What we focus on is what we get. I don’t know if it is nefarious. Are there powers trying to dumb down the people for total domination? Perhaps. More likely, just trying to get you to part with your dollars.

Claim your life and your mind and your time and your health back. Take it all back and put yourself in charge of you. Decide what you want and whether or not it gets you closer, or further away, from your hopes, goals and dreams. You are either thriving or dying.

Put a premium on your time because that you NEVER get back. Instead of struggling decide and determine to make life fun. Make it an adventure. Enjoy it. Delight and thrill. Transform it through the renewing of your mind and heart. Practice gratitude. Limit the negativity. Promote the positivity. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
