Do This When Your Situation Sucks!

“A good friend texted me stating he needed some reframes. He spent a trying day, more than 12 hours in the airport, attempting to get to L A, with delays and missed flights. A remarkable man himself I sent him these words. These apply to all of us at anytime.

Learning patience can be a trying experience. As can learning to accept what is IS. Yet, what might you discover about yourself going through this difficult time? Are your thoughts supporting you and the situation or helping to undermine and frustrate you even more?

You decide which it is? Decide what needs to be done that will support you with who you are and who you want to be. Our thoughts about our situation contribute to how we feel. Are they lifting you higher and helping you feel better or not?

This Too Will Pass – But If It Didn’t – What Would You Do

Yes, it is difficult. Yes, the situation can be frustrating. That is what is. How you respond determines how you go through it. Are you contributing to suffering or feeling centered? Breath. Find your center. Take some deep breaths and let go. Allow it. Accept it.

You won’t change it being angry about it. That is as unlikely to change anything as yelling at the weather is for not being to our liking. Create a pause. Look inside and breath. What can you learn about yourself from this? Can you consider it a blessing in disguise?

If is is a blessing then what does it hold for you? Only you can determine that. There are two ways to view this. Positive or negative. Which feels better? Which gets you closer to the real you and the you you are evolving to be? It is your decision.

Inside Every Adversity Is The Seed Of Equivalent Opportunity

What are you focused on? Is it making you feel better or worse? Energy flows where your attention goes. Are you focused on what you want or what you don’t want? If you know what you don’t want then turn and focus on what you do want that makes you feel better.

Everything passes. Change is constant. This too will pass. BUT pretend for a moment it doesn’t. This would be your future forever. Is this what you want? Do you want these thoughts and feelings? Make them what you would want to live with forever. Your choice.

While I may have bias there is no correct answer. There is no correct behavior. There are choices and whichever you make those are your choices. Accept them. I choose based on what I want to create more of for myself, perhaps you may too. Meanwhile, peace and blessings!

Challenges Make Us Stronger – The Kite Rises Against The Wind

If you can find the silver lining you are ahead of the game. If you can find what there is to be grateful for, even inside a difficult situation, you are ahead of the game. Relax, breath, center, let go and feel grateful. What lessons can you learn? Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

How To Make Good Things Happen For Yourself

“Would you like to be blessed more in life? Would you like wonderful things to occur for you? Want better health, happiness, opportunity, money or things to show up? Whatever you want you can have but it is up to you. It’s not up to anyone or anything else. Just you.

Begin by feeling blessed. Feel it. Do whatever you must in order to feel enjoyment, delighted, happy, grateful and blessed. Do whatever you must that is positive, legal and safe, that is. That should go without saying BUT but some people make it necessary.

Feel grateful, feel positive, feel blessed. Feel happy, feel healthy, feel wealthy. You first. You go first. You feel it first. You think it first and then you open the doorway for having these. You won’t have them if you feel negative, worried, frustrated or crappy. It just won’t happen.

I Stumbled Across My Strength Because Of My Struggles

You create luck from your mindset. You reap the harvest from the seeds you plant. Whatever you want you can have as soon as you learn to think it and feel it into existence. At one time there were no chairs, spoons, clocks or computers. Someone had to conceive these.

Everything humans made began first as a thought and then were brought about by follow through. Think it, feel it is possible, believe in yourself and you can make it happen. Feel eager, excited, feel joy that good things can and will happen. You will delight yourself.

Most people say, ‘okay, I’ll try that.’ They say ‘o boy, I feel good. Now what?’ Then, when things don’t happen they follow up with, ‘see, I knew it wouldn’t work’. THAT is not believing. That is not trusting or having faith or being 100%. That is why it will not work. Bad mindset.

Life 10% What Happens To You – 90% How You Respond To It

You have to be 100%. You can’t halfway plant a seed. You have to plant it. You can’t halfway dive into a poo.l You have to dive in. Give yourself over to light, love, happiness and joy. Give yourself over to delight and enthusiasm and notice the difference it makes.

The good life can be yours but you need to create it. It doesn’t happen for you. YOU do it! ‘Luck is the crossroads where preparedness and opportunity meet’. YOU must prepare! Then take advantage of opportunity. You have to have skin in the game!

Begin feeling grateful for everything.  Feel blessed for everything. Appreciate the good and not so good. Live fully with appreciation. When things don’t pan out be glad. Be thankful for the opportunity to learn and evolve through challenge. Grow! Delight! Develop an unstoppable winner’s champion mindset. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

What To Do When You Really Disappoint Yourself!

“Have you ever let yourself down? Have you ever disappointed yourself? Have you ever done the exact opposite of what you intended to do? Did you ever say, ‘I won’t do that’, only to then do it. I sure have. Countless times. Sometimes, too often.

So what to do when you behave less than gloriously or even badly. You can accept it. Accept that you aren’t perfect. Accept that there are times when you don’t do as you intend. Accept, forgive and love yourself anyway. You aren’t perfect stop pretending to be. Let it go!

Far too often we are harsh on ourselves because we think we should be further along than we actually are. You can see this a lot watching people learn a new sport or activity. They get frustrated because they think it should be easier than it is. They loose patience. I have.

Accept What Is – Let Go Of What Was – Accept All – Allow All

Have you ever done this? I do it all the time. Own it. Live up to it. We take golf swings, throw basketballs, play music on an instrument and get mad when we don’t perform correctly. Knock it off. Stop thinking  you are better than you are. Accept mistakes. Laugh it off instead.

We want to be perfect. We expect perfection even if we think we are a loser. There is no end to how we can criticize and blame ourselves. We will rag on ourselves coming and going if we could. Right? It is time to learn a new way of being don’t you think? You can, you know.

So accept. Let go. Forgive, truly and love yourself even though you aren’t perfect. Love yourself. Then learn. Extract the lesson from the situation. What could you have done differently that would have been more resourceful, productive, beneficial, co-operative? Ask.

Accept The Rainy Days Accept The Storms They Are Part Of Life

Ask of yourself and listen silently for the answer. Examine and reflect. Don’t judge. Stop criticizing. Listen to what you might have thought, felt, said, or acted differently that may have made a difference. Learn from this. Decide to not do the old behavior again.

Intend to be the new way. You may and it might take many practice attempts or slip ups until you finally ‘get it’ and do it or live it. Do you understand this? Repetition is the mother of skill. You made the old way a habit, now you need to be patient while you make a new one.

New habits can take time. So be prepared to love yourself through it. Accept yourself. Keep moving forward as best you are able. You can critique your behavior but don’t criticize yourself for screwing up. You do what you do in the situation and perhaps next time do better.

You Don’t Need To Be Accepted By Others – Accept Yourself

Take the pressure off yourself. This doesn’t give you license to do the old behavior, especially if it involves others, but it gives you permission to be human. Humans make mistakes. Humans don’t always do everything perfectly. It is okay! You did what you did.

If it involves others and you need to apologize do so. Own up. Take responsibility. Learn to communicate more effectively. Build bridges instead of burning them down. I have burned some bridges and in most cases it only hurt me more. Respect others and respect you.

Some times you examine the situation and discover there was nothing you could have done that would have made any difference. You can’t change the physicality of it. Then accept it. If you can change your response to it change your response!

Mistakes Are Part Of Life If You Don’t Make Them You Don’t Learn

When you can’t change an event change your response. Instead of trying to change other people change yourself. You are in the driver’s seat of your mind and your life not in charge of world events or other people’s minds and lives. Let go of trying to control things.

Accept that the ‘crappy event’ was a blessing to learn and evolve from. It may take time to see how but allow for it. I have done things long ago and not so long ago that I may be ashamed of. I have hurt people with my words or provoked others unnecessarily.

I have given the finger to unsuspecting drivers on the road. We all have things we aren’t proud of or that we sometimes do that surprise us. Even when everything is going exceptionally well. Don’t let one act ruin the record of good days. It is like quitting smoking.

Welcome Challenges Every Situation Is An Opportunity To Learn

If you slip up and have a cigarette don’t stop quitting because you had one. Stay quitting. Okay, you slipped up. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and go on. Keep to the program. Get it. Some people abandon everything because of one mistake or slip up. Don’t.

Do stay the course. Keep growing and evolving and living and laughing. Get back on track when derailed. Forgive yourself, forgive others, allow it to be. Accept it as opportunity. You don’t have to know all the answers or the ‘whys’ and reasons.

You may want to but most of everything is a big mystery. Why, heck I don’t know, simply because. Why is what we learned to ask as a child and we keep doing it. The answers aren’t much better as we get older. It just IS! Accept what is. Learn to go with the flow. Allow.

Keep Going Don’t Quit Just Because You Made A Mistake – Persist

Give and receive. Receive grace. receive joy. Receive love. Receive forgiveness. Receive peace. Receive awareness. Give these and more in return. Learn to be grateful. It hurts when things go wrong, or the apple cart is upset, but get over it. Take your time if you need.

Learn that if you love and accept and respect yourself. If you allow and accept what is. You can do the same for others. Whether they return it or not you can still do it. In many cases they won’t return it.

What if you changed for the better yet the rest of the world remain the same? How would you enjoy it? It would be completely up to you then wouldn’t it? It would, right. Everyone else is the same but you chance. Guess what, that is how it already is. You transform.

Forgiveness Is Something You Do For Yourself To Forgive Is Divine

Don’t concern yourself with other people’s personal evolution. Live and let live. When you disappoint yourself imagine you counsel a young person you love. What loving, kind words would you say? What might the child like to hear? What might the child need?

Okay, live and lough and laugh. Feel gratitude even when things go awry. I am always reminded of Jesus, whether you believe it or not, the story is he asked forgiveness for his tormentors while he was in torment. He didn’t wait until all was good, he did it while suffering.

Whether true or a story I think it is a great example. Forgive others and forgive yourself even while in the midst of turmoil. Even when nothing changes in the circumstances. Forgiveness isn’t FOR the other person, it is for YOU. It is for your transformation.

Love Yourself For Who You Are – Friend Yourself – You Deserve To

Transform. You aren’t perfect. You may never be. Accept the good and the not so good as you do the day and the night. Judgement is what makes something acceptable and unacceptable. Yes, there are ways we treat others that may be either. Know which is which.

Live with imperfection. Enjoy being human. Don’t expect to be superhuman or perfect. Don’t live in delusion. Life CAN be great and YOU CAN make your dreams come true THAT isn’t fantasy. Utopia or utopian like perfection is deluded. You can live enlightened.

Be enlightened while the world is as it is. So give yourself room to make mistakes and to correct them. Accept yourself for not being perfect. be grateful for the opportunity to learn, change, correct and continue on. Be thankful for all and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Create More Good Fortune And Opportunity Through Gratitude

“If I were limited to one thing I could recommend to people that would absolutely change their lives for the better this is it. Yes, there are many different practices and principles that are important that we could apply. Perhaps, though, nothing is as important as this.

When people speak of the Law Of Attraction they talk about vibration and whether it is high and positive or low and negative. The principle behind the law of attraction is like attracts like. AS previously discussed our RAS does this for us. It finds matches.

Negative attracts negative. Positive attracts positive. If you want to attract or create or become aware of more of the good things in life there are some things you can do. I have already suggested keeping a gratitude journal and expressing gratitude daily.

What We Want To Do With Ease We Must First Do With Diligence

Everyday, before bed, write down at least, 25 people, activities, or things you are grateful for. This is a powerful practice and it can change your life. Living from gratitude is even more powerful. On a moment to moment basis you express gratitude for everything.

Anything and everything that is offered you. You’ll find plenty to resist, therein is the point. You begin to become aware of how you interrupt the flow and fight it. When you surrender to what is, that doesn’t mean you can’t change it. It means you accept it. You allow it.

You can change it. Yes, it seems counter-intuitive, or as if I am speaking out of both sides of my mouth, but once you accept it you are free of it. You can change it or not change it and it doesn’t really matter. Free is free. You rise above it. You aren’t subject to it.

Drop By Drop The Tub Fills – Eat The Elephant Bite By Bite

When you can begin to appreciate everything, the good and the bad, then there is no good and bad. All is good. All has something of a blessing and a learning or a benefit in it. Yes, you may have to dig deep to find it, but once you do, it can be transformative.

Knowing this and doing this are two very different things. It begins with awareness and understanding. It isn’t always easy but it is simple. Live in appreciation. Imagine you created all of it so you could learn positive life lessons. That can be a useful frame to have.

Be responsible for all of it and the grateful for everything makes sense. It is all good, even if it appears as if it is not. Learn to let go, learn to learn from, and learn to celebrate everything! Still, a great way to start and practice is to keep the journal. It tunes us to things we are thankful for. Enjoy and really — celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Do You Deserve Success? What If You Don’t? Do This!

“You deserve success. You deserve to feel successful BUT what if you feel like you don’t? Probably, no amount of trying to think you do, will convince you. You’d just end up struggling to feel worthy, which you are, but you still don’t feel like it. Right?

So, you imagine having what you want; a new relationship, more money in the bank, a wonderful career;  a brand new car or home, or a piano, or weight loss or weight gain; but when you do imagine it you don’t feel glorious.  You feel stuck. Right?

You have less than glorious feelings. Something is off. Something is not right. You doubt you will get it or you feel ‘not so good’ while thinking about it. This is a signal that you aren’t in alignment with what you want. You won’t get what you want feeling that.

Never Judge Yourself By Your Ability To Please Another

You will only get more of THAT. So what to do? You want it, but… Here is what you do. Have you ever given a gift to someone? When you did what did you do? You bought or made it and then you gave it to the person. When they received it what did they do? Said thanks.

Whether or not they deserved it you still gave it, right? They took it. Right? Have you ever been given a gift? What did you do? You took it. Didn’t you? Whether or not you deserved it, you still received it. So you both gave and received gifts and deserving wasn’t an issue.

DROP the notion of being worthy or deserving. You don’t have to be to get a gift. You don’t have to be deserving to find a dollar on the sidewalk. You don’t have to be deserving to notice something that makes you smile. You don’t have to be deserving to be delighted.

You Don’t Have To Please Others To Be Worthy – Love Yourself

You just accept it. You just notice it. You just say thanks. When it comes to your goals and your dreams, no matter what you have been told in the past, no matter what you believe, you don’t have to deserve it. You only have to allow it. You only have to receive it.

Say thanks and go on. Let the universe, yourself and others gift you without qualifications. Allow yourself to be open and receptive. Delight in freeing yourself of the unnecessary burden of worthiness. Those are artificial conditions we learned to have from birth on.

All that is comes from other peoples rules and conclusions we drew from experiences. It isn’t reality. Worthiness is an arbitrary concept. You had to be good to get a cookie. You had to get an A to please your parents. You were made to jump through hoops.

You Are Worthy Just By Being Who You Are – Universe Loves You

Not bad in itself but the messages we got might be that, unless we were good enough, worked hard enough, did the correct things, pleased the right people, developed ourselves, were smart enough, rich enough, good looking enough etc. only then could we get what we wanted.

I am here to tell you that is a load of crap. You and I may have bought into that but it is time to drop it and let it go. It is time to receive and not be concerned with anything else. It is time to shine and feel glorious for being who you are. It is time to accept abundance.

Drop unnecessary baggage. When you arrive at your destination you put your luggage down. You do not keep carrying it with you. Give yourself a rest! Accept who you are and drop all else. Receive what there is to receive. Enjoy and delight in all.

Close Your Eyes – Clear Your Heart – Let Go – Accept Yourself

So there isn’t any misunderstanding. This doesn’t mean you don’t do your work or take part in being responsible. It means you drop the beliefs and reasons for not being, doing or having. You let them go. You live accepting and including instead of excluding and dismissing.

Allow yourself to simply want what you want. It is OKAY to have wants. Be grateful for all there is. Enjoy life unfettered. Stop trying to make yourself feel worth it. Say thanks for the gifts. Appreciate and keep moving forward. Celebrate. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

2 Reasons You Are Stuck And Can’t Get Anywhere

“Why don’t some people make things happen fast enough? Why aren’t they creating or manifesting what they want? If the Law Of Attraction worked how come some people, perhaps even you, are struggling and not getting what you want? What is up with that?

Two simple reasons. Excuses and blames rule the day for some. Those people unfortunately never get too far. When you make excuses for yourself and or blame yourself, or anyone or anything outside yourself, you don’t help yourself. You keep things away.

When you whine and complain, excuse and blame you get more of the same back. Bird of a feather flock together. Like attracts like. It is simple. You must be what it is you want to attract FIRST. For some people this concept is difficult to wrap one’s head around.

Quit Beating Yourself Up You Are Not A Finished Product

How do I become something I am not presently but that I want in the future? You must become its essence. This is why you act ‘as if’ you already have it. This is exactly the reason you live with gratitude now. This is why mindset, attitude and feelings are so important.

Become it, now, in your mind and someday you will have it in reality. Most likely not overnight because everything takes some time. Plants take time to grow from seeds. Keep the faith and know with certainty it is yours and you will make it happen. Be certain!

Thoughts precede feelings. Feelings precede right inspired actions. Right inspired actions precede success habits. Successful habits precede the results you want. Keep in mind, YOU are making happen what you want rather than attracting it. Get it? You are doing it!

You Are A Work In Progress – Celebrate And Delight

People who hope or rely on luck don’t make it either. We make our own breaks. Attitude is everything. Luck and hope comes from the outside. If you hope to get it you most likely never will. You must be certain you will make it happen not luck into it. It is all your doing!

The second reason is comparison. People compare the distance between where they are and where they want to be. Stop it! Stop it right now. Keep your eye on your purpose while simultaneously focusing on the right inspired actions step that gets you there.

One inspired step at a time. When hiking or mountain climbing it is advised you not look at the peak but at your feet and each step you take. When you look at the peak you notice how far away it seems. Your steps are immediate and you can control each. Focus on steps.

Losers Fix The Blame Winners Fix What Caused The Problem

Inspired right action comes from having the right mindset and the positive wonderful feelings. Then your brain, your intuition, you inner resourcefulness kicks in. Your Reticular Activating System works to find matches on the outside for the good going on inside.

Your RAS is working anyway. Either finding matches for how far away things are, for blames and excuses, whines and complaints or for the positive ‘life is wonderful I can do it’ thoughts. You are in charge of which it looks for by what you focus on repeatedly.

You inform your own brain what you want to create and attract more of by what you presently think and feel. It is all your doing. Don’t blame yourself if you aren’t where you want to be, change yourself. You can make it happen. Learn how by doing it.

A Flower Doesn’t Compete With Others Or Try – It Just Blooms

Focus on the positive. Fill your mind with positive, wonderful thoughts. Fill yourself with feelings of gratitude. Author your story to include what you want more of and imagine it ‘as if’ you already have it. Speak only to bless, heal, prosper and further your story.

If we don’t have will and persist positively, others who do will prevail. Success comes from having a successful mindset first and then going the distance. Everything takes some time so be patient and enjoy each moment along the way. Delight and feel marvelous!

Stop whining, complaining, excusing and blaming. Stop hoping and relying on luck. Stop comparing and being frustrated. Instead, live with passion, enthusiasm and certainty that YOU can make your dreams come true. Then you can if you keep going until you do! Do this now. Live your dreams. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Warning! If You Neglect This You May Pay Dearly

There is a final step. It is a critical aspect of your personal development and your ability to easily change and transform yourself and your life. It should not be ignored at any time. It is as important as all the rest. Be sure to well attend to it

Your health. Take care of your health. Your body and mind are part of the same system and both require care. Your body responds to your thoughts or you wouldn’t blush when embarrassed, or your heart quicken when you meet a potential mate.  Your pupils dilate too.

Negativity Is A Thief That Steals Happiness And Well Being

Negative thoughts adversely affect our health. Positive thoughts positively impact our health. We cannot escape the consequences of our thoughts. Our health and well-being impacts our ability to think. Both influence each other. You can’t have one without the other.

The cost of neglecting your physical and mental health is greater than the cost in dollars. Negativity takes a huge toll on your body and your ability to function optimally. Neglecting your body, or your mind has a massive downside. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF NOW!

Once you feel down and out it is more difficult to break the hold of negative thoughts than when happy and energetic. It can absolutely be accomplished, but many people won’t feel like it. They may not have the energy to make the needed changes BUT they can!

You Eat An Elephant Bite By Bite

Bit by bit do things that bring the body and mind more energy. Go for a walk. Work in the garden. Gardening is sage advice, because we connect with the earth, we get our hands dirty, we are preoccupied and concentrated on life in the garden. It works wonders!

We can change our physiology. Throw our shoulders back, put our chest out, our chin forward and sit, stand and move as if we felt confident, positive and powerful. We can get down and roll around and play as a little child would. We can move our body differently!

Stuck implies no movement and the same, frozen. In order to break free we need to move and change things up. We can do almost anything and bring about some positive results. If you always do what you always did you always get what you always got. Get it?

You Can’t Live  A Positive Life With A Negative Mind

If you can’t leap into things, at least, inch your way into them. Both ways are effective and can bring dynamic results. The point is you must do something. Start early, before it is too late is a wise approach. Prepare before it is required and you will be well served.

Shake it up. Vary it. Stretch a little. Do some light yoga, breathing, any form of exercise. If you are low energy, do that which brings energy to you. Move and gradually increase the variety and/or the intensity of your movement. Walk, skip, run, dance. Breath, laugh!

If wound up, relax. Slow down. Breath. Take a bath. Get a massage, a steam or a sauna. Listen to some soothing sounds or music. Turn off the electronics, eliminate distractions,  Get outside. Garden. Take a walk, enjoy the surroundings. Quietly, sit or lie down out there.

Natural Forces Within Us Are The True Healers Of Disease

The issue for many people today is where their attention is. Often it is too self focused. We are narcissists. Change the focus. Help another person. Stop thinking about yourself and your problems and assist someone else. Look around you and find the good in the world.

Change of focus and change of what we are doing and how we are doing it IS how we bring about change in ourselves as needed. We can’t do what we always did and expect it will be different. We need to change things in order to have life change. Vary your routines!

Enjoy the simple pleasures. Fill your life with gratitude and thankfulness for what you already can do, for how you are blessed right now. Appreciate your body and your mind for how they work, with or without impairments. We are luckier than we think, usually.

We Are What We Repeatedly Do …

Eat well. The proper nutrition is important for your body as it is for your mind. Quit living on junk and get some good food. Good water. Cut out the bad foods and drinks as much as possible. Think at least 80/20 rule. Health is mental and physical. Pay attention to both.

If mostly you are well nourished, 80, a guilty pleasure, 20,  now and then is okay. Mental nutrition is important too. Read and fill your mind with healthy thoughts most of the time. Take care to think the best and be exposed to the best thinking. Eliminate the worst.

Eliminate the negative thinking and the distractions. Stay focused on the positive and feeling good. Include those things that make you think and feel better that are wise and good for you and exclude, as best you are able, that which is not. Mind and body work together.

… Excellence Therefore Is Not An Act But A  Habit

Get decent exercise and enough rest. Drink plenty of good, clean, pure water. Smile and laugh more. Have fun. Don’t make personal change and transformation harder make it fun and easier. Lighten up, let go, drop your cares and troubles, and live. Be as a child!

Read more, listen to music, listen to nature, listen to each other, communicate with loved ones, enjoy your family and friends. We live in boxes that are artificially lit, with microwaves, and radio waves and wifi and electric ambient sounds and noises, get away from it.

Change your routines from time to time. Take different ways home, or to work. You’ll see different things. Eat some foods you have never tried. Brush your teeth with the opposite hand. Vacation someplace new. Sleep with your head at the foot of the bed.

He Who Enjoys Good Health Is Rich Though He Knows It Not

Have fun doing and learning new things. Take some classes. Try different genres of books, music or movies. Take a spinning class or a ballroom or swing class. Make moments fun by meeting, new interesting people. Meditate or do something spiritual or natural.

Have I said, spend more time outdoors? Be freer, simpler, gentler. You have work time and rest time. Learn to manage both well. The more positive your thoughts the healthier all aspects of your life can be. The healthier you are the more positive your thoughts can be.

Prioritize your relationships. Cross things off your bucket list. You only live once don’t put everything off for another time, live now. Make it a point to not let the day to day troubles and distractions and negativity run the show. Don’t be controlled by circumstances.

Sometime You Just Have To Unplug And Disconnect

Determine how you want your life to be. Claim it back. Access your power. See it and say how it shall be. Declare it and make it so. Live as a champion and and emperor, not as a victim or a pauper. Decide to live a glorious life and make it that way minute by minute.

Fun, passion, delight. Movement and rest. Listening to music can arouse you and make you feel vibrantly alive or calm, quiet and serene. Both are important as night and day are important. Your body and mind cooperate as one. There is no separation in reality.

Live simple in a complex world. Enjoy all. Stop judging and complaining. Begin praising and encouraging. Look for and find good in all and you will develop that ability to always find the good even when well hidden. Delight in yourself, others and circumstances.

Variety Is The Spice Of Life

Live whole. Free yourself up to enjoy what is available to you and you will always discover more you didn’t notice at first. Linger in the goodness. Bask and bathe. Take a daily inventory of all the good things; the things you appreciate and your successes. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

They compare where they are to where they want to be. If they come up short they lose faith, doubt, feel bad, give up, or frustrated they try even harder and harder.

Either way can be an obstacle to becoming and having what you want. There is a nuance, a caveat to living and using the Law of Attraction or, as I prefer to think about it, being a deliberate creator.

Think Positive Be Positive And Positive Things Will Happen

So, I must say this, if you are a regular reader of my blog everything that has come before this post is relevant and applicable and will help you transform your life when you apply it correctly.

Information alone will never transform you. It is the correct application of information that becomes power and potential to change. Nothing less than using the material will bring change.

I want to point out. Some people know nothing of the law of attraction, they have never read a book or have seen a movie. They simply have an incredible life.

I’m Thankful For My Struggle – Through It I Found My Strength

They get what they want and are blessed in many ways. It seems magical, as if they naturally had a midas touch. Whatever they do seems to pay off well.

How is this possible? We will explore in a moment. First understand there is positive and negative, lack and plenty, up and down, thin and fat, fast and slow and other distinctions.

These are ways we divide the world that make sense for us. It is part of living in more than three dimensions. Time, space, and beyond. Some call it duality or polarity. The names don’t matter much.

Train Your Mind To See The Good In Every Situation

We can measure hot and cold, near and far. Our mind compares and contrasts. Realize however hot and cold are different degrees of temperature. Two aspects of the same thing.

Night and day are different aspects of a 24 hour cycle. Positive or negative are two sides of the same coin.  Each of the opposite ends of these are extremes. They may be infinite for all we know.

Some things we are able to measure finitely to the best of our measuring instruments. Size for example gets harder and harder as we move from our world to the subatomic.

Positive Or Negative It Is Your Choice

Opposites are part of the same thing. We divide them into near and far,  up and down to simplify our world. They are one thing. Whenever there is one there is at the very same time the opposite.

Somewhere in this world it is day and night simultaneously. The antarctic is cold while the Sahara hot. These notions are dualities. They are aspects of the same thing. I keep coming back to this point.

They are different sides of the very same coin. When you begin to think positive, negativity also exists. If you try to fight the negativity you only exaggerate it because you put your attention on it.

There Is Always Something To Be Grateful For

Whatever you focus on expands. You get more of what you focus on. The very thing you attempt to eliminate you get more of if you fight it. You become what you predominantly think about.

Understand it and accept it. Embrace it and let it go. It is part of life. There is nothing bad about it. It is what it is. It allows for some things and doesn’t allow for others.

If you focus on not having enough money, and put your attention on lack and debt you get more of the same. To change this you need to put your attention of what you can think, feel and do differently.

Thought Change Leads To Life Change

To succeed you first must feel successful and prosperous to create and attract the people, events and circumstances to make more money. You do it with the focus of your thoughts.

Keep this in mind. When you want something you don’t yet have what is your awareness on? Your attention goes into wanting what isn’t yet yours. You notice the gap, the distance.

You compare the future with now and come up lacking. This brings more of the lacking and comparisons. It doesn’t bring you what you want. It brings you more of not having it, yet. It brings more waiting.

Positive Mind – Positive Vibes – Positive Life

To have what you want to have you must be what you want to have in order to get more of the same. This can be a difficult concept for some to appreciate or it can be quite easily understood.

The law of attraction states you attract more of the same. Whatever you already are is what you attract back. You do not attract something you aren’t. If you want to attract gold you must be gold.

So if you want to be happy you must first become happy then you will attract more of the same. If you want success you must first become successful to get more of the same. Do you understand?

Be The Change You Want To See In The World

The same with wealth, health, and loving relationships. You want a loving partner become one first. You must be it to attract it. If you are not it first you won’t attract it. Like attracts LIKE.

Your first effort of mind must be becoming one with what you want to have. You must think and feel and be it first. You want more love you must BE love first ONLY THEN will you get more back!

The Law of Cause and Effect states if you want it you must cause it. You must be at cause and then you will experience the effects. This means it is not just going to happen for you.

Positive Things Happen To Positive People

It is not going to land in your lap without your involvement. You cause it to happen. You go first. You no one and nothing else but YOU. Most people don’t get this they put it on other sources.

Additionally, it means, combined with the Law of Attraction, everything you are and have right now or don’t have is, and has always been, up to you. You are already a creator and attractor.

You have always been creating and attracting whether you know it or not. You have always already been getting the results of your predominant thoughts. If you don’t like the results change thinking.

Believe It And You Will See It

The Law of Increase indicates that when you plant a seed you will get much more back in return. The fruit will bear many fruit with countless more seeds. You can experience exponential return.

Here’s where it gets really interesting. There are those, as previously mentioned, who without formal knowledge of these principles lived blessed or what appear to be charmed lives.

How is this possible? Why them and not you?  They, for whatever reason, grew up learning or stumbled upon that which works for them. Some people don’t think much they just feel happy.

What You Say Is What You Get

Their frames of mind, previously discussed, support them. They are as intelligent as you or I, but they don’t get caught up in over thinking and analyzing. They are busy enjoying life.

They accept things as they are. They don’t fight to get more or fight to resist lack. They accept what is and celebrate everything. They always seem to have enough.

Whatever they do they succeed at. They have great love and joy in their lives. Why? Because they seem to live filled with gratitude for the present moment.

The Greatest Weapon Against Stress…

They don’t compare with others. They don’t compete with others. They do what they do happily and are glad. What is most important to them is the love in their lives.

Family, friends, enjoyment, enjoying each other is important to them. Celebration and delight is a high priority.  Joy governs their lives. They look for the best and find it. They focus on the good.

Hardships come and go and they handle them and rebound because, first and foremost, they are filled with love, joy, support for each other, community, closeness, and more. They are connected.

… Is Our Ability To Choose One Thought Over Another

Their values, what is important to them, cause them to live blessed lives because they don’t notice the glass half empty. Why? Because they are too busy enjoying whatever is in the glass.

As an analogy you could say they are people who live in the light. Darkness flees from them. When in a dark room you don’t have to fight darkness you simply light a candle. They live in the light.

You could say their vibrations are high vibrations. Because they are living light and high vibrations they attract and create and get more back of the same exponentially. They attract more of who they are.

Talking About Problems Is Our Greatest Addiction …

Yes, they are charmed, but they are doing it! It is from the mindset, the attitude and the heart they live from. It is who they are and what they put their attention on.

It is determined by what they feel is important and they don’t get distracted by what they don’t have. They are the example of being first and doing and having.

They embody it and live it. Others have come to it through study and application. They arrive because they devote themselves to it and they learn and change and adapt on the journey.

… Break The Habit Talk About Your Joys

These latter creators, just like the former ones discussed, recognize that the journey is what is important. They don’t sacrifice the journey for the prize at the end. They enjoy each moment of it.

If you want a blessed life enjoy the journey. It is an adventure. Delight in everything it brings. When it brings joy, delight! When it brings hardship, delight.

You say, wait delighting in hardship is tough, not logical. You would be correct from where you come from. Those who live charmed lives don’t resist challenge  but embrace it and learn from it.

There Is No Time Like The Present – Begin Now

To those who have learned otherwise, all that can be said is, when the student is ready the teacher appears. When one is ready, anything is possible. You are ready when you ARE it.

Those who live it know it, those who don’t live it can’t know it yet. Some day perhaps, if they continue on they will. For now, it is a concept that may be difficult to grasp.

Many abandon a practice or discipline because the concept is difficult or the practice is difficult. All that can be said is, you get what you focus on. If you give up, you gave up.

The Kite Rises Against The Wind – Opposition Is Useful And Good

No harm no foul, that is what you did. If you change your mind later and want to resume, so be it. If not, so be it. Life will be whatever it is for you. You are always creating and attracting. Please realize this.

Making life wonderful starts with us. It begins inside us and no where else. Yes, the world goes on, you are part of it, one with all of it or separate and distinct from it.

Whatever you choose to believe will determine your results. It won’t change many things though. You may not know about or believe in the Law of Gravity but that doesn’t change the effect it has on you.

I Don’t Know The Way But I Will Be There Soon

Gravity effects you and the rest of the world. It operates whether you know about it or not. It operates whether you like it or not. You can’t change the fact that gravity is affecting us.

You will be affected and effected by what you know and don’t know. What you don’t know you don’t know. You don’t even know you don’t know it when you don’t know it. Nor do I. We can’t, can we.

The problem with most people is they think they know. They draw conclusions. Sadly, their ignorance is their undoing. They just keep missing until they don’t. To each their own. It changes nothing.

Promote What You Love Instead Of Bashing What You Hate

Those who have happy lives may continue to do so. Those who don’t may continue to miss out or they may change something and find happiness. Either way the world goes on as it always has.

Our mindset, your mindset, determines what you do and don’t do. What you have and don’t have. If you want more happiness become happy now. It begins with you and ends with you. You start it!

All the practices and approaches shared in these blog pages help you do that. THAT is WHY they are shared here. So you can learn what to do if you don’t know. So you can live a marvelously fulfilled life!

A Negative Mind Will Never Give You A Positive Life

Once you know about it that is a step in the right direction. Nothing will change unless you apply what you learn. To know and not to do is to not know. If it is to be for you it is completely up to you.

No one can do it for you. You make your life as it is, as it has been and as it will be. YOU have always been in charge, even if you didn’t know this, or if you haven’t acted as such. You are responsible.

You are always in charge. It is time to assume the responsibility and live as you want to. Become it! You have to GO FIRST to attract what you want. A great start is with total gratitude and appreciation.

Speak What You Seek – Until You See What You’ve Said

Remember, the old saying, where there is a will you will find a way. You can do this and will if you truly want to. Begin now. Find out what you can begin to really appreciate and fill yourself with true gratitude. Feel it fully. Enjoy it delight in each moment! Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

This Is Why You Aren’t Creating Success And Happiness Right Now

“Imagine for a moment there is a god that created you. This god told you ‘I have given you everything you need to be healthy, wealthy, happy, successful in all ways. You will have love, possessions, your wildest dreams because within you is an incredible power’.

Welcome to Part 9 of The Secret To Success And Happiness Few Know And Won’t Tell You. We continue on today. I hope you found the first 8 parts valuable. Ready, let’s go. Part 10 tomorrow.

Imagine this god sat you down looked you in the eyes and told you this to your face. This is god speaking to you! What do you do? You look god back in the face and say ‘bull shit’ and get up and walk away. You mutter to yourself ‘how ridiculous’ the old guy is.

You think to yourself ‘if only that were true’ but you continue to tell yourself it is not. What I just described may not be too far off from the actual truth. I don’t know if god created you or sat you down, but within you is something incredibly unique and powerful.

The Power Is Within You

Most people miss it. They miss the proper use of it. The point of the power is to enjoy all of life right here, right now and beyond. But they don’t. They use it to create worry, fear and anxiety. They use the power to live in lack, and struggle and wish it were different.

Why do you suppose people do that? If you do that, why do you? Many do. I have. What is it that goes on inside us? Well, for the most part we weren’t brought up being told we were powerful and unique and could enjoy right here and right now and beyond delightfully.

We were brought up told and believing life was hard. We probably weren’t good enough or smart enough to amount to much. Some people got it all while others had to make due with little. Life isn’t fair. Work hard, save money, retire and hope you have a good life.

Don’t Be Afraid To Give Yourself Everything You Wanted In Life

Perhaps, you didn’t get any of those messages? Perhaps, you got different ones. Regardless, if you aren’t living the life you truly want right now, it is for some reason. If you look outside yourself you will miss it altogether. If you blames circumstances or others you miss.

You have to look within. You must understand that most people sacrifice right now for a hope of a better future. They want things different then because they don’t like it now. They want to trade now in for a better time down the road. This is the problem.

NOW is all you have. It is what you got. It is what IS. There is no future yet. If you don’t like right now and want to escape it, what thoughts are you presently thinking? Are you thinking, ‘this is wonderful and glorious’ or are you thinking ‘this sucks’? Well?

Be Here Now

Most likely, a variation on the latter. As long as you think those thoughts you will end up with more of the same. What you continue to create is the same suck lifestyle. Own up to this. If your thoughts about NOW are negative you are creating more negativity.

Yes, you are hoping for something positive and better but you are doing the same old thing again and again hoping for a different result.  Do you get it? In order for THEN to be wonderful you must find the wonderfulness in NOW! Recreate how wonderful now is!

You may think, how absurd. Go ahead, remain the same. Isn’t that what you have done all along. I sure did. I always thought it was someone else’s fault, not mine. I always thought the present sucked but the future would be different. Then whined when it wasn’t.

Believe In The Power Within You

Until I did that over and over again enough, until I had enough, I perpetuated the cycle of less than glorious shit in my life. TIME for a change I thought! NOW WHAT? Focus on making it better. Concentrate and believe that I can do it. You know what?

That is a decent start. I had to learn I was responsible for all of my results. I had to focus on something other than what sucked. A major mind shift in direction for sure. I had to keep my attention on the new direction and not get sucked back into the old way.

AND it worked. As I progressed I discovered their was still a very subtle layer of discontent. I wasn’t progressing fast enough, I wasn’t leaving the old life behind quick enough. That bothered me. When was the brand new upgraded life going to kick in. Anytime Universe!

Realize The Power Within You – Trust The Power Within You 

Kick it into high gear god. C’mon now. I am waiting. THEN it occurred to me that I was not content. I was not happy where I was. I was assuming I was happy because I was actually, in fact, changing and better off than before, but not truly happy. I was stuck.

If I was truly happy it wouldn’t matter. I would be happy. I’d be thrilled with where I was and what I was doing. It would all be good. I’d be excited, enthused, eager and delighted. I wouldn’t be hoping that anytime now there would be a breakthrough.

THAT was the breakthrough. Gratitude, celebration, appreciation love NOW, embrace it, enjoy it, be thankful for each and every little part of it. Be grateful for each challenge, each blessing each moment. Live fully alive in now and delight in the present. Herein is magic.

Can You See The Miracle You Are

When you totally accept everything with delight you create more of the same. Your thoughts are ‘wow this is incredible’ and you create and attract more of the same. Your neurology, your spirit, your emotions, your body, your mind opens up to everything you missed.

You may not think so. Even now reading these words you may agree or not. When the student is ready the master appears. Your inner self will present when you are ready, if not at this time. Know this: You look at what you have always looked at in habitual ways.

You look at now as you always have. Your circumstances you see from you past conditioning. You are thinking old thoughts about your present. You need to change this to see what is there you have been missing all along. You have missed much I guarantee it.

I’m Pointing At The Moon – Don’t Look At My Fingers … 

You don’t see what IS THERE because you ‘know’ what is there. Do you understand this distinction? You are blinded to the things you miss because you have habitually looked at other things. Your focus has been elsewhere. NOW you need to shift your focus.

We miss so much wanting to be somewhere else. This is what it means to ‘stop and smell the roses’. It means STOP for goodness sake, stop. STOP STOP STOP! Smell the roses they are right here, right now. Fall into it fully! Don’t go anywhere else in your head.

It is all here right now. EVERY SINGLE THING you need to make an incredible difference in your life, to have the present and future you want IS WITHIN YOU RIGHT NOW! You may have to birth it, to develop it, to master it, but you already have everything needed.

… Look At The Moon

No matter what is going on right now you are doing one of two things. You are either supporting things as they are by the attention and energy you give it. Or you are not. You are either contributing to it on an ongoing basis or you are pulling energy away from it.

If things, right now, suck for you, what are you doing? Are you supporting it or putting energy elsewhere? Obviously, if they suck YOU ARE supporting it. It can’t be any other way. This is important. Your energy flows where your attention goes.

If you are focused on the problems, issues, the lack, the struggle you get more of the same. If you are quietly discontent hoping and praying for a better day, you don’t get more of the better day, you get more of the discontent. This IS HOW it works. DO you get it?

You Have Been Using The Power All Along To Get What You Got

STOP! Take the energy you use to support what you don’t want and put it into gratitude. Be genuinely thankful, appreciative. Love every second of your life and you will withdraw energy from that which sucks and you will be putting it into positive wonderful moments.

Your life will transform. Sure there will be times you want to whine and complain and focus on the old lifestyle. That is habit, that is your old programming and chronic conditioning. Understand that for what it is and keep you attention on what is right and what is good.

Life will upgrade quickly as you do. You can find yourself moving from one marvelous moment to another. Focus on how wonderful everything is right now and you will bring about more of the same. Each moment going forward is filled gloriously.

Have You Used The Power Wisely – If Not – Start Now

When god speaks maybe you should listen. You have everything you need to live a glorious life within you right now. Be willing to. If you aren’t willing well, that is your decision. But if you are willing a whole new world of possibility will open up for you. Live, love, laugh more. Enjoy and delight and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

If You Don’t Have This You Have Absolutely Nothing

“Your career is important. Job satisfaction makes a big difference. The relationships in your life truly important. Personal and professional. Personal wealth, these days, is a topic of concern for lots of people. There may be many areas of your life and mine that deserve attention and improvement.

Consider this: without your health the other areas are harder to nurture and improve. We think perhaps, that our relationships at least will take care of themselves, those who love us always will. That probably is true but for them and for us to enjoy the connection having good health helps a lot.

When you are healthy hopefully you are easier to get along with. When your body and mind works well it is just simpler. Many people have immense challenges with health so an area we should focus on is our bodies and minds and do what we can to help them serve us, as best we can. Instead, many of us fill them with junk and abuse them.

Smile Often

Without our health, our job and career don’t mean much. Our cars, and boats and big homes mean even less. None of theses can we take with us. We travel away carrying nothing with us, except perhaps, the memories of the moments we cherish with loved ones and the quality of relationships and life we lived.

Take time to take care for yourself. What can be more important than that statement? Take care of yourself and help take care of others. Nurture yourself.  Nurture others whenever you can. Do whatever you can to insure you enjoy the best health you regardless of challenges. Make this a priority.

Attitude affects health and health affects attitude. However, if your attitude is wonderful you are more apt to be healthier, at least that is what research tends to demonstrate. Plus, if you have a champion attitude first, if you encounter a health challenge, you are far better equipped to handle it positively than if your attitude is poor to start.

Laugh A Lot

If you need a reason to develop a Positive Mental Attitude this is a powerful one. Get your mind in order and it influences the body. If anything happens to the body, or for that matter your relationships, your career, your job, or your things you are better equipped to navigate those challenges. Research indicates this is true.

Feed your mind and your body properly. Give each the appropriate exercise. Give each enough rest and clean water. Take care of both. This is the true meaning of invest in yourself. Without your mind and body health what do you have? How long will you enjoy it without health? Especially, in America where health care costs are insane.

Exercise: As you read this, or any of my blogs, what are your thoughts? Where do you agree and disagree? Notice what you are thinking. Does your thinking support you and encourage you to be your best or not? Do you feel more or less motivated? It isn’t about the blog post, or my words, it is what goes on inside you.

Realize How Blessed You Are

I am not looking for agreement, although I would like to think it is important. What I hope, is that you find your ‘happy place’ that place where you do what is right for you to live the best life you are able. My hope is you hear yourself when your self-talk does not support you AND you hear it when it does support you.

I don’t care so much if you think the post is brilliant or not, as long as you find your own brilliance. That is the purpose of writing these. I hope you will discover your talents, your resources, and will utilize the gifts of your being, mind and body and the gift of time, as best you are able. I hope you discover how wonderful you are.

I hope you have the most incredible life of positive, good health, loving relationships, a fulfilling purpose expressed in your work and your leisure. Life, while alive, never isn’t happening. Yes, an obvious statement but frequently we miss LIFE because we get caught up. We don’t have to but we haven’t learned how not to. Now it’s time.

Be Inspired By Love And Guided By Knowledge

If we can be more loving  and caring of ourselves to nourish ourselves in positive, gentle and  comforting ways we will benefit much. If we can lessen our stress and think and feel happier more of the time, more of life becomes available. We are less on the inside running old negative programs and more available to enjoy what is.

Whatever IS is. Whatever is going on you can handle positively or differently than you might ever think you can or allow yourself to. It can be marvelously different and wonderful much more of the time no matter what the circumstances are. Whether you believe this or not determines whether or not you find it true. Listen. Listen well.

This is when and why it is important to discover what you think. Whether you think you can or you think you can’t. Listen each moment during your day and become more aware. Are your thoughts supporting you or not? Are they helping you become healthier and happier on not? Notice and change as necessary.
