Never Let Circumstances Bring You Down – Learn To Live Triumphantly

“Have you ever been on a roll and then excrement hits the fan? What’s up with that? Have you wondered, ‘WTF?’ You are riding high and then something comes along and levels the field or worse. It might suck, right? What if it didn’t have to? What would that be like?

Yesterday was a very different day from Monday’s blissful day. Some might say, the day presented some challenges. Certainly, there were numerous situations. For the purposes of illustration I’ll call them challenges. Still, the days WAS blissful and wonderful. One example.

Everywhere I drove during rush hour was jammed up. Each road I took, for the span over an hour, was a dead end, no outlet road, and detours to nowhere. It was amazing. I never before experienced anything quite like this. It was a twilight zone like.

Words Are Seeds – Be Careful What You Plant

I drove around trying to get out of a certain section that bounded a freeway and had construction, road and building, all around. After driving and trying each turn only to find it ultimately blocked I found one back road open! Hooray! Except it was closed by an accident!

There was no getting around it. I backed up, tried going back the way I came, to look for other avenues of escape. Finally, I found a way out. Once I got out I turned onto a major road which went up and over a bridge. As I got onto the bridge all traffic stopped. I was stuck.

I couldn’t go forward or turn back around. A truck broke down on the bridge shutting it down to one lane. Traffic was slowly merging right to go around. It was a good long while. I had never seen the traffic this congested, in this area, as far back as I can remember.

All That We Are Is The Result Of Our Thoughts

It was a different sort of busy driving day. After about an hour I managed to drive on into much more heavier bumper to bumper traffic. In my teen years in L A I’d have had road rage to the max. It was pretty tempting yesterday to let go and get angry about it.

Fortunately, I had the presence of mind to realize getting upset wouldn’t have changed the situations. I’d be stuck in traffic and mad, instead of stuck in traffic. Plus, as I have often pointed out, traffic is a fantastic place to learn to surrender and let go. So walk the talk, Rex.

I relax, and let go. I decided to assume I had created all this JUST especially for me. This is my mental construct, my fantasy. I wanted to discover, IF I had engineered this, or god or universe or whatever, why, what lesson might I take from it? Multiple lessons o’plenty!

Change Your Thinking And You Change Your Life

I examined and reflected. I gleaned insights for myself that I think are useful. Most importantly, the trite aphorism comes to mind, when life gives you lemons make lemonade. How do you make the best of a bad situation? If you label it bad to begin with, it’s tougher.

It is better not to label it anything at all. Don’t call it a problem or a challenge or an obstacle. It just is. Why start one down? It is what it is. The less we label the better off we are sometimes. Perhaps, we call it a situation or an opportunity. Yes, call it an opportunity.

Some think I must be mad. An opportunity! I can almost here them exclaim it. What are you outta your mind? Yes, I absolutely hope so. I hope I am out of the conditioning that says, if you have a hammer you treat everything as a nail. Problems do not make you feel good.

Thoughts Create Your Reality – Choose Your Thoughts Wisely

Opportunity may make you feel good. So it is an opportunity to relax, let go, enjoy sitting still, reflect, people watch, take a breather, learn from the situation. It IS whatever you decide it is. You determine whether it is good or bad. It is ALWAYS  YOUR choice.

Whether others agree isn’t the point. You can find plenty for whom misery loves company. You can band together and complain long and hard and it won’t change anything except your emotional state for the worse. Fewer will choose to look at it as a blessing. Yet, it is.

IF YOU decide it is. Everything IS as it is. You decide whether it is a blessing or not. As for me, I prefer that there are more blessings and opportunities than problems and obstacles. I want my blessing ration high so I declare more things blessings than otherwise.

Once You Become Aware Of How Powerful Your Thoughts Are …

You want to learn mental control? You want to be more resourceful?You want to live a better life? THEN live blessed and filled with gratitude! Enjoy everything. I point this out, this happening yesterday for a reason.  Some think, well it’s easy if your life is easy.

Some think, positive thinking is wearing rose tinted glasses. Some think, easy for you to say if you don’t have any challenges or face everyday constraints like the rest of us. I do, you do, we all do. Few lived charmed lives and aren’t touch by hurt or despair. Few, maybe.

Most everyone has to live with the day to day situations. Ups and downs, highs and lows, goods and bads. Most people have grown up learning to complain about circumstances and to long or wish for other circumstances. There are preferences and habits.

… You’ll Realize Everything In Your Life Is How You Allow It To Be

Habit has most people whining and complaining, excusing and blaming. Stop living your life dictated by circumstances. Instead dictate how you respond to the circumstances. Be larger than the problems. Call them anything but problems. Call them opportunities.

Practice this correctly long enough and you can get pretty good at it. Get good at letting go, living well and enjoying all events and circumstances as much as possible. Then as speed bumps occur you can find yourself at ease instead of getting bent out of shape.

You change habits with awareness and understanding. You change habits through correct repetition. You change habits by willpower and persistence. You change  by being committed to changing no matter what. As you change, what is difficult at first, becomes easier.

You Create Your Own Reality For Goodness Sake Have Good Taste

Awareness is the key. Whenever you realize you are thinking or feeling less than glorious make a purposeful, deliberate move to shift from the not glorious to the more glorious. Shift from negative to positive. Deliberately, with intention, as often as necessary.

Sometimes, you just have to do it a lot, over and over again. Other times it is easier. Just as with my two blog posts, sometimes it is wonderful sometime’s it ain’t. HOWEVER, it will always be whatever you make it. It will always be whatever you declare it to be.

You either affirm it as a problem or affirm it as a blessing. The choice is yours. The decision is yours. Learn to make new decisions and consider more and more in your life blessings and you will create, attract and re-frame more things as blessings.

What You Think Is What You Get – What You Say Is What You Get

You and your life will become richer and more blessed. The trade off is marvelous. It is! It can be beyond glorious. You only find out, however, by putting these principles into action. To know and not do is to not know. You life becomes glorious WHEN you take action!

Enjoy and delight more. Get hooked into trauma drama and crap less, regardless of what is occurring. Refuse to name things as problems but look at them as opportunities to discover cool things and they will be. It ain’t over till the fat lady sings! It is never done.

What you SAY is what YOU GET! Say what you want it to be and it will be that! YOU ARE THE AUTHORITY – you are responsible. No one else is. Make your life the life you want! Delight in everything. Enjoy everything. Feel blessed more often and you will be. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Beer Film Editing Parents And Breakfast

“Who can say when anything actually begins. I could point back to a week ago or many years ago. I’ll start with editing a feature film. I just love synchronicity and life’s little blessings. You never know when or how but you can always expect to be pleasantly surprised.

Over a week ago I contacted my film editor to meet with me. We chose today. An early coffee shop meeting to discuss his vision for the film he is editing. He has been cataloging footage and reading and re-reading the script. I love his ideas. It was a wonderful.

Let me back track. I had been out of town for the past four days. A very good friend of mind was celebrating her birthday with her parents and friends on Sunday. I haven’t seen her parents in 20 years and some of the friends in about 5. I wasn’t sure I’d be able to go.

You Can Always Find Something Good Without Looking For It

She had the celebration for Sunday from 3 to 7. The conference I was at was to let out at 5pm on Sunday. Then I had a two hour drive back. If it was still going I might be able to stop by at the end. I did want to meet back up with her parents.

Fortunately, the conference ended early. I got back about 6 called and was told where they were. A wonderful Beirgarten I had never been to. I met up with her parents, our old friends, some new ones I did not know and spent a couple wonderful hours with them.

This morning I went to meet the editor. I texted my friend told her I enjoyed seeing her parents. Wished I could say good bye and tell them to have a safe trip home. Meeting the editor he said the coffee shop he picked wouldn’t open for another hour. There was another.

Synchronicity: The Universe Telling You – You Are Getting Warmer

Just up the street. We had to go around the block because we were south of the restaurant on a one way street. We went around, found another coffee shop and stopped to pull in there. However, it was metered parking, change only, and I didn’t want the hassle.

We pulled around and headed back to his first suggestion. They had a parking lot. We got the last empty spot. Went in and had some wonderful food and good conversation about the feature film. Over coffee our conversation turned to positive expectations.

We discussed how sometimes we miss good things because we are focused on the not so good. Suddenly as I was talking I realized I was looking right at my friend and her parents. They were in the same shop. She faced me but hadn’t seen me, yet, either. WOW! Cool!

Everything You Need Comes At A Perfect Time – It Always Does

I went over and said hi and they were as surprised as I was. We had ten or so minutes of very pleasant conversation and marveled at how fortunate we were to meet up again, since we had wished to. My friend mentioned she had looked for my car upon arriving.

It was from habit. Often we meet at a lake of for food and she seeks to find where I am parked. She stated she realized she was looking for my car when she should have been looking for her parent’s car. Anyway, we got to see each other again and send off well wishes.

It was a wonderful surprise. I returned to the table and told my editor friend about the Biergarten and this fortuitous meeting today. Oddly, he had been to the Biergarten a day earlier for the very first time. We both discovered a great new place to hang. Hmmmm….

Live – Learn – Love – Laugh – Celebrate Everything – You Are Blessed

The universe provides. I don’t care to believe or not believe in anything. Everyone chooses their own beliefs and rationale.I just enjoy it. I simply know good things come to those who expect good things to come to them. We get what we focus on.

Life is filled with blessings. There were countless decisions made by the 3 parties, my friend, my editor and me. Yet, we all ended up at the same place, at the same time, out of hundreds of possibilities. Coincidence, luck, serendipity, fate, whatever, it is good. I enjoyed.

I think the more we are grateful and they more we feel blessed in the little things the more room we make for more of them. This is a simple story about part of my day. I felt like sharing. I’m not sure why, but, perhaps, it will resonate with some readers. I hope you enjoy.

Expect A Miracle – Allow It To Happen – Then Celebrate Again

Meanwhile, find your blessings and the magical moments. Enjoy and savor them. Have fun, delight and expect more each day. In fact, expect a miracle. After all, why not? Keep the faith. Do You Know The 3 Power Questions For Clarity And Goal Getting?

“Questions divide the world and help you to focus. You can direct your mind to what you want it to search for and find by using a question. Hopefully, you did the exercise from yesterday. If not, stop now, and read or re-read the previous post. Then continue on.

First question, did you answer what you wanted or didn’t want? Did you say ‘I want to be rich’ or ‘I don’t want to be broke’? It matters. Which words do you focus on in each question? Either rich or broke, right? If you are focused on broke you ‘ain’t gonna git rich!’ Git it?

Knowing what you don’t want is important to help you clarify what you do want. You focus must be on what you do want. If you said, ‘I don’t want to be broke’. Then the next step is Okay, what do you want? If you can’t answer that is a problem.

Learn To Ask Yourself Better Questions 

If you come back with another, ‘I don’t want so many bills’ then you are still focused on what you don’t want. OKAY then write out all the ‘I DON’T WANTS and get them out of your system. Then with each shift your attention to your wants.

I don’t want to be broke – may become – I want to be rich. I don’t want bills – may become – I want all my bills paid for easily. I don’t want to be fat – may become – I want to be my ideal weight. I don’t want a smoker – may become – I want someone health conscious.

Get it? What you focus on is what you get. If you have been primarily focused on what you don’t want that is what you will keep getting, creating or attracting. We become what we think about most often. What do you put your time, energy and attention into most often?

Questions Direct The Mind

The second question is why do you want it? Answering this will clarify what is important to you. It will shed light on the needs behind your goals and dreams. You may discover there are other productive ways to get what you want more easily and readily.

Sometimes these needs and wants are called our values. We want to feel important or significant. We want freedom or fun. We want to be relaxed or at ease or feel peace. We want to feel accomplished or creative. These are drivers behind the goal we are trying to fulfill.

We may fulfill these through what we want or in discovering other positive ways. YOU may find your wants changing during this process of self discovery. That is absolutely okay. Get clear about what you want, what is important to you and what stops you.

Stop Asking Why You Are Stupid Or Unlucky Or Broke

The third is WHY DON”T YOU HAVE IT? Your answer is the story, the reason, the excuse, the blames for why you aren’t making what you want happen. It is okay, we all have them. Just consider it. Why don’t you have what you want right now?

This answer, this story, this reason, this excuse is the WHY you don’t have it that you tell yourself over again and again. Your time, energy and attention is going into why it doesn’t happen or what is preventing and stopping you. Do you understand this? It is all focus!

You put more credence on the reasons why you don’t have it than you put energy into making it happen. Consider that. STOP! For goodness sake. STOP and actually consider this, Energy flows where your focus goes.

Learn To Ask Yourself Better Questions 

If you think, ‘I am broke because … You ain’t gonna get rich thinking broke and why you are. You aren’t going to create, attract and make happen what you want if your concentrated attention is on why you don’t have it. You are reinforcing not having and not getting it.

If you want to get it you will have to change your story. You must do things differently! You have to come up with all the reasons WHY you CAN HAVE IT – right NOW! You should write out a new story that reflects what you want to have. Be detailed and take your time.

What you say is what you get. What you say is based on your mental images and feelings. When you think to yourself or tell others the same story you perpetuate it. You keep it active. If you aren’t getting what you want, yet, then you must withdraw your energy.

You Get What You Focus On – You Become What You Think About

You must change what you talk about.Construct the story you want to live out. You are the author of your life, write the pages and chapters to be what you want. Remember, what you say is what you get. Choose and use your words wisely. Focus on what you want.

Focus on the good things in your life. Put your energy into what is good and what is right. Focus on solutions and on being  champion and victor. Focus on using your resourcefulness to make changes within yourself that result in changes in your outer world.

If you did these exercises honestly and thoroughly you will have gotten some valuable information for yourself to put into practice. If you blame others and make them responsible you have missed the point. If you blame others that is your excuse and gets you nowhere.

Ask Questions That Direct Your Mind In Useful Positive Ways

Each of us has to take responsibility for making our life the good life we want. Blaming others and circumstances is not the solution to getting what you want. Taking responsibility taking positive, inspired action steps that benefit you and everyone else will help you.

Blaming excuses you from getting your dreams by putting the responsibility on others or circumstances but doesn’t get you closer. Determining what you must think, feel and do will. Developing the habits that get you where you want to go will. Results begin within.

The results you get are directly tied to your thinking. So change your thinking. Change your story. Keep this in mind. You get what you focus on. You become what you think about. Once you know what you want and why you don’t have it put your attention elsewhere.

Get Clear About What You Want And Why You Want It

Put your attention on why you do have it! Imagine yourself to be the kind of positive person who does have it. What are you like? What do you think and feel and do? What does it feel like to be living the dream? Imagine all the good things.

During this process you may have discovered many beneficial things. Some may sting, some may be freeing. I encourage you to visit this again and again in coming weeks and months. Some people do it all their lives. It can be a valuable process to do on your wants.

Meanwhile, find ways to be thankful and appreciative for your new awarenesses. Be grateful for whatever you have come to understand. Learn from it. If you got better insight into these areas be happy. Learn from it. Extract the lessons. Apply the information.

To Know And Not To Do – Is To Not Know – Take Action

Apply the information to make your life and those lives around you a little easier and better. Enjoy this adventure and all of your journey. When you do you are truly blessed because you recognize each step and each obstacle IS a blessing. WOW! Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

3 Power Questions To Get You What You Don’t Yet Have

“You could be living your goals and dreams right now! You do have dreams and goals, right? Perhaps, you want that perfect career or job.  Maybe you want to be rich and famous. You want the ‘right’ relationship with a partner or with your family.

You want a lifestyle that allows you to do what you want when you want it. Right? What do you want? Specify it. Elaborate. Be detailed. What are you focused on? Describe your desire. Write it down. Take your time. What do you want?  This is the first question.

STOP! Don’t read on until you answer the question.

Okay, if you did what is asked of you, proceed. Many people gloss over actually doing anything. They think if they just have the right information and know enough it will change them. It won’t. Applying the information is how you change. You must do in order to know.

Why do you want it? Variations on this question are – what will having it do for you or allow you to feel and do? Why is it important to you? Why must you have that? If you say it makes me feel good then ask why do you want to feel good? What does that do for you?

Keep asking the question. Be diligent. Specific. Elaborate. Take your time. STOP and answer thoroughly. What will being rich do for you? Why is being rich important? Ask until you can get no further. Push yourself through to discover the important WHY behind your want.

STOP! Don’t read on until you answer the question.

Why don’t you have it? WHY do YOU NOT have your DREAMS right now? Why don’t you have it yet? You know what you want but you don’t have it? Write down why not. Be specific. Elaborate. Be detailed. Take your time. DO IT! Don’t read on until you do.

I MEAN STOP! Don’t read on until you answer the question.

I know some of you blew past anyway.

Three simple, yet, powerful questions. If you genuinely ask these of yourself it will reveal much and you will learn a lot. Specify what you want. Discover why you must have it, how it is important to you. Then answer, why you don’t have it, yet. Your answers are important.

This IS a process of self discovery. Important things can come up for you and shed light on what is going on. You can discover much that is illuminating and helpful for moving forward. It can refresh you as each new day can if you allow it to. Increase your awareness. Enjoy.

Sit with your answers. Think about them. Go back over each and be absolutely diligent and honest. Next blog post I’ll share more on this process and what these questions and answers can do for you. In the meantime, reflect, learn, appreciate yourself and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Do You Deserve Success? What If You Don’t? Do This!

“You deserve success. You deserve to feel successful BUT what if you feel like you don’t? Probably, no amount of trying to think you do, will convince you. You’d just end up struggling to feel worthy, which you are, but you still don’t feel like it. Right?

So, you imagine having what you want; a new relationship, more money in the bank, a wonderful career;  a brand new car or home, or a piano, or weight loss or weight gain; but when you do imagine it you don’t feel glorious.  You feel stuck. Right?

You have less than glorious feelings. Something is off. Something is not right. You doubt you will get it or you feel ‘not so good’ while thinking about it. This is a signal that you aren’t in alignment with what you want. You won’t get what you want feeling that.

Never Judge Yourself By Your Ability To Please Another

You will only get more of THAT. So what to do? You want it, but… Here is what you do. Have you ever given a gift to someone? When you did what did you do? You bought or made it and then you gave it to the person. When they received it what did they do? Said thanks.

Whether or not they deserved it you still gave it, right? They took it. Right? Have you ever been given a gift? What did you do? You took it. Didn’t you? Whether or not you deserved it, you still received it. So you both gave and received gifts and deserving wasn’t an issue.

DROP the notion of being worthy or deserving. You don’t have to be to get a gift. You don’t have to be deserving to find a dollar on the sidewalk. You don’t have to be deserving to notice something that makes you smile. You don’t have to be deserving to be delighted.

You Don’t Have To Please Others To Be Worthy – Love Yourself

You just accept it. You just notice it. You just say thanks. When it comes to your goals and your dreams, no matter what you have been told in the past, no matter what you believe, you don’t have to deserve it. You only have to allow it. You only have to receive it.

Say thanks and go on. Let the universe, yourself and others gift you without qualifications. Allow yourself to be open and receptive. Delight in freeing yourself of the unnecessary burden of worthiness. Those are artificial conditions we learned to have from birth on.

All that is comes from other peoples rules and conclusions we drew from experiences. It isn’t reality. Worthiness is an arbitrary concept. You had to be good to get a cookie. You had to get an A to please your parents. You were made to jump through hoops.

You Are Worthy Just By Being Who You Are – Universe Loves You

Not bad in itself but the messages we got might be that, unless we were good enough, worked hard enough, did the correct things, pleased the right people, developed ourselves, were smart enough, rich enough, good looking enough etc. only then could we get what we wanted.

I am here to tell you that is a load of crap. You and I may have bought into that but it is time to drop it and let it go. It is time to receive and not be concerned with anything else. It is time to shine and feel glorious for being who you are. It is time to accept abundance.

Drop unnecessary baggage. When you arrive at your destination you put your luggage down. You do not keep carrying it with you. Give yourself a rest! Accept who you are and drop all else. Receive what there is to receive. Enjoy and delight in all.

Close Your Eyes – Clear Your Heart – Let Go – Accept Yourself

So there isn’t any misunderstanding. This doesn’t mean you don’t do your work or take part in being responsible. It means you drop the beliefs and reasons for not being, doing or having. You let them go. You live accepting and including instead of excluding and dismissing.

Allow yourself to simply want what you want. It is OKAY to have wants. Be grateful for all there is. Enjoy life unfettered. Stop trying to make yourself feel worth it. Say thanks for the gifts. Appreciate and keep moving forward. Celebrate. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Do You Know How To Stop Suffering And Start Living?

“Why do many people suffer and feel in pain? Often, it is something we do. If you suffer or are frustrated would you like to learn a new way to be, think and do? Would you like to end most of your suffering and begin to feel much better more often.

Much suffering is caused by how we use our minds. It is what we focus on. We can put an end to lots of personal suffering by changing how we use or mind and what we focus on. We can create new thought habits. There are those who can shut out pain and suffering.

Certain meditators and spiritual practitioners learn to control their focus of attention to such a degree that they can withstand much physical pain. They train so they can also endure mental and emotional pain and overcome it. They gain control, they take charge.

Why Am I Happy – I Feel Grateful Thankful And Blessed Every Day

We use correct repetition. What is correct repetition? It is doing the right thing, the right way, over again. We repeat it. We can practice the piano or a golf swing, for example, correctly or incorrectly. If we want to get good we need to do it the correct way each time.

By using correct repetition, consistently, we engage in the practice for a long enough time to make it a new reliable habit. That is how habits are born or acquired. It takes about a month to begin to form a new habit. 30 days from now you can be wonderfully different!

That is a guideline time for forming new habits. It depends on you. If you do the right thing consistently for a long enough period of time you will wire it in. Once the new habit begins to form it gets easier and easier. You enjoy it more and more! Okay, now, back to the pain.

The Smile On My Face Means I Appreciate My Blessings

Comparison creates pain. We compare ourselves to others; how tall or short; fat or thin we are; how good looking or not good looking; how rich or poor or what kind of things they have that we don’t. We try to keep up with the Jones. We hurt because we compare.

We compare where we are to where we want to be. We decided we want to work with the Law of Attraction, then we compare how fast or slow we got what we are working on. If it is not fast enough we suffer. If we don’t yet have it we complain it isn’t working.

We compare time frames.  We compare where we are today to  how far we have yet to go. If it is a long way off we suffer or get frustrated Most often, what we compare causes our suffering. It can be used it to find out how you are better off. You can us it to feel better too.

A Beautiful Day Begins With A Beautiful Mindset

Compare today to how you were before. Notice how you have evolved. Determine how far you have moved ahead and how blessed you have become. Look back and connect the dots with what you didn’t have to what you now do have. Feel fortunate. Use it wisely.

Make comparison work for you instead of against you. Live, laugh love and celebrate.  Drop painful comparison, let it go. Begin appreciating where you are. Be filled with gratitude for who you are, what you are, how you are, when you are, and where you are.

If you can come to understand that everything is perfect right at this moment you will always feel blessed. Yes, you weren’t brought up believing that, most likely. You were probably brought up to strive to get ahead and complain about circumstances not to your liking.

Every New Day Is An Opportunity To Feel Blessed For All Of It

I was. If you are able to adopt the mindset that everything is perfect then you are always blessed. It doesn’t mean you can’t change it, it means changing it is part of being perfect. Challenges are blessings. It means there is always something good about it right now.

You can find a lesson to learn from, or the seed of an opportunity that might germinate and take hold if you allow it and nurture it. Nothing is over, we are always in a process. We are always right where we are in this process. Let go, accept and enjoy it all.

It is a journey and wherever we are along the way is an exploration and an adventure. Adventures have ups and downs. It is what makes many carnival rides fun. Life can be fun too. Stop suffering by comparing and start living large by accepting.

Stop Limiting Yourself! Expand Your Options!

“It is important to understand this concept.  Don’t chase concepts. Understand the meaning of the words without getting caught in the words. Many people miss out by trying to define terms.

Some people limit themselves by first trying to determine if they are doing it right. If they are enough. If they understand it completely. The limit themselves by not allowing themselves to be enough.

Some try to figure things out before they move. You can’t do that. We’d never fly or have reached the moon if we had to know how to do it before we did it. At first, we could only make the attempt.

You Know More Than You Think You Do – Trust Yourself

In order to be freer and find success or happiness more readily you need to include more not exclude. Well, yes, exclude the extraneous waste of time and those things that prevent you and hold you back.

You need to include more easy options. You want to grease the wheel. Take things lightly up front, not so seriously. You want to begin and not try to figure it out in advance of doing it.

When I say ‘be happy’ some people try to figure out what it means to be happy. They may even claim they don’t know what it is or that they have never been happy. They get caught up in the notion.

Trust Yourself – The Answer Is Yes You Can – You Are Able

Don’t get lost in the word happy. Simply, feel good, or happy.  Do that positive activity that puts a smile on your face. Play with a pet or a child. Spend time with a loved one. Enjoy the moment. It is simple.

Don’t spin wheels deciding whether this is actually happiness or not. Just enjoy the moments. If you love camping or fishing or gardening or hiking do that. It could be you like to exercise, or to relax. Or both.

Go to the movies, listen to music, read good books. Perhaps, you enjoy hanging out with fun friends, going new places, trying new foods and experiences. Do what makes you feel good more often.

Life Is Made Up Of Simple Tiny Moments – Enjoy The Moments

Make quality time for yourself. Treat yourself well. Enjoy life. Smile and laugh more. Spend pleasing time in positive ways. The more time you spend living like this the happier you will be. Automatically!

Don’t get caught up in the word happy at all.  Spend your time enjoying life and the things you think and do. Think wonderful thoughts. Feel good. Love yourself and others. Celebrate!

Any word could be a sticking point for some person. Don’t get snagged by the word. If you can’t immediately love yourself find those things you can appreciate and validate. Forget the word.

Some People Miss The Forest For The Trees – Why Not See Both

Look at any abilities no matter how small. Seek and you shall find. Do not make it a matter that you HAVE TO – LOVE YOURSELF, just enjoy you a little bit more. Take it easy and let go of the meanings.

Positive is another word. Think positive. What does that mean some ask? It means stop thinking negative about what you can’t do. Focus on what you are able to do and do it. Imagine you could.

See, feel, act as if you are doing it. Speak as though you can do it. Don’t think you can’t or that it is too hard or tough. Break it down into tiny bite sized pieces and begin doing it. You can do this.

Life Is So Much Brighter When We Focus On What Matters

Feel good is another. You don’t have to feel bliss and ecstasy. While that may be nice the point is to move in the direction of more pleasant. ‘More better.’ You don’t have to exist in the extremes.

Feel good that is enough. The more you do it the more you will be able to do. Skill grows. Muscles grow through use. People complain that they aren’t enough, don’t have enough, or it is too hard.

They make excuses that they don’t know how, and get caught up in trying to decide if they are doing it right, or fulfilling the extreme definition of the word. Please shut up! Get off it. Keep it simple.

It Is Never Too Late To Be Who You Might Have Been

Do what you can and keep doing it again and again. Live what you want to be more of. Definitions don’t matter. Simply look to spend more time living life more fully. Embrace simple pleasures.

If all you can manage is to squeak out a single pleasant thought or feeling DO IT then REPEAT IT! Soon you will be able to add more to it. Grease the wheel. Prime the pump. Make it happen.

If you don’t attempt it, one thing is certain, nothing will happen. Doubt and fear and procrastination do more to kill dreams than failing at a task ever has. People stop before they start. Be different.

Drop By Drop The Tub Fills – Bite By Bite You Eat The Meal

Don’t be one of them. Resolve to make life the way you wish, want, hope, and dream it to be. Resolve to make it happen, become certain about it by doing a little bit each day. A little can go a long, long way.

Sometimes the smallest efforts make the largest difference. Stop! Don’t worry about being happy, or positive, or peaceful or love. Do those tiny things that make you feel more that way more often.

Do those things more over again. Think those thoughts frequently. As you do you become it more and more. Pretty soon you are it. When you are it you attract and make more of it happen. Get it?

Better To Do Less And Enjoy More – Savor The Simple And Easy

Do it! That is why the practice of gratitude is so powerful. You begin by appreciating anything you currently are or have. Think on those. Think on that. Feel grateful. Take inventory. List them out. Enjoy.

Count your blessings. Feel how good it feels as much as you can. Don’t be bothered by, is it enough? It is! Just start doing it. Delight in it. Speak your blessings. Talk about how you are blessed. Focus.

Think, speak, feel and act only to bless, heal and prosper. Put a guard before your mind and lips and soon enough that will become your predominate thoughts, feelings and way of life. Inch by inch.

Step By Step The Journey Made  Enjoy The Journey It’s All There Is

Never make a problem where one doesn’t exist. Think, ‘I can! This is easy. I enjoy this. I feel good. I think positive, powerful thoughts.  I enjoy life. I am lucky. I am blessed. Things always work out.’

Fill your mind bit by bit with more of the good stuff. Be grateful. Focus on the positive, the ‘can do’. Feel the good feelings little by little more and more often. It all grows with repeated practice. Soon you will notice more and enjoy more. One step at a time! Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
