Try Doing The Opposite For A Change

“If your inner world is yucky because the outer world is yucky then you need to make some changes. If your outer world is yucky because your inner world is yucky you have changes to make. Keep your inner world positive and optimistic, cuz what else can you do?

Choose to make the inner incredible in spite of what goes on outside and you may just transform everything. Since you can’t control the outer world much, you might as well learn to control your inner world. Right? Consider that for a moment. Then…

Consider this:  some people think ‘realty’ is outside of them. Their circumstances are real. They consider their inner world a dream world or  ‘the unreal’ world. They think the inner is some delusion or fantasy.  Well, what if it were the reverse?  What if it is the opposite?

You Are Where Your Thoughts Have Brought You

What if the outer is the delusion and the inner the reality?  Just to change things up if you have ever thought this. If you have done the other version for many years, and you have thought the outer was more real than the inner, then try this on for yourself.

Imagine the inner is the actual reality and the outer is just a dream that you can shape by how you think about it. The more positive you become the more you can positively influence your future. Get it? It is an exercise! Try this at least try this for 90 days, or more, to give it a bit of a chance. After all, you’ve done the other for all this time. Practice something new! Discover something new! Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Your Brain Can Be Changed!

“People said humans would never fly. The Wright Brothers changed all that. We once thought we’d never walk on the moon. That too, happened in our past. People made it happen! Still, some don’t believe it ever happened. You use a toaster and electricity, right?

Edison had difficulty selling people on the electric light but now the world is over lit. Ford produced automobiles en masse. We have circumvented the globe and sent probes into space, and within the human body. We have unraveled much about DNA. Amazing, right?

All these, and many more changes that humans made happen, at one time, existed only within the mind that imagined it possible. Steadfast souls conceived them, believed it was possible and kept working at it until they achieved. It is amazing, don’t you think.

You Are Where Your Thoughts Brought You – Consider This

What began as an idea became reality. It began inside the human, inside the mind, inside the brain. Nowhere else. All great things first start within. They start within you and within me. Your brain, my brain, our brains are amazing! We are amazing! I hope you notice.

Here is the great news. Not only are our brains magnificent but we can direct our brains. We can maintain positive and optimistic outlooks. We can do what other pioneers have done. Each of us have talents and abilities we don’t even realize we have. Still, we do!

We just need to look inside for them. We also have something else. Something so amazing! Not only can we change our thinking and our attitude, but we can change our brains. We can form new neural pathways all through our life. We didn’t use to think that possible.

The More We Do The More We Become Capable Of Doing

But it is! Neuroplasticity is the word, the medical term, for our brain’s ability to change and grow new neural connections and evolve itself. Not only that but we can actually direct how it grows and evolves. You can evolve your brain through how you think.

You can change your brain by will-power and thought power. When you decide to make changes in yourself, and your life, when you learn new things and apply new things you grow your own neural wiring. How incredible is this? Pretty darn amazing! Guess what?

This means if you set your mind to learn to do new things, as the Wright Brothers did, and as Tesla, Ford, Einstein, Edison, Jobs, Branson, and others have, you can too. You can make new things in the world that benefit all AND new things within that benefit you.

Skill Comes Of Doing – Our Brain Evolves By Doing New Things

You are truly incredible. Acknowledge this! Celebrate this. You can learn to do almost anything within reason when you set your mind to it. You can transform yourself and you can transform your life! This is worth being grateful about, don’t you think? I think so. How about you decide to put it to the test? Do something new and wonderful, and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Why You Need Certainty In An Uncertain World!

“‘If you can conceive it and believe it you can achieve it!’  Anything within reason, Hill added. Meaning you won’t and can’t defy natural laws. You won’t turn lead into gold, sprout wings and fly, etc. BUT you can become fabulously happy, healthier and wealthier!

You can contribute to others, add value, and change the world! Belief is the main ingredient one must bring to imagination in order to make it happen. CERTAINTY, is what Hill meant. Tenacity, the will to do, as in ‘I WILL DO IT NO MATTER WHAT! That is certainty.

If You Have Strong Belief In Yourself No Adversity Is Too Difficult

Then persist until you do, adapting and adjusting as necessary. Hill also pointed out that if you vibe high, maintain a positive attitude, a cheery, optimistic outlook, you will feel better and attract others of a similar vibe and mindset who’ll help you to succeed. Like and Like!

Hill added, no one succeeds alone. That is true. We all rely on others to purchase our ideas and products to make us rich. Nothing happens in isolation or a vacuum. Get it? When you know you will make it happen, when you are certain, then you CAN succeed.

Conceive It Is Possible – Believe It Is Possible –  And It Is Possible

When we add value to others, by our vibes and our actions, we attract others who will add value to us. A rising tide lifts everyone in the boat. Still, it begins with your imagination. You make it happen because you are certain and determined you will. You achieve.

So work on your mindset. Become unstoppable. Get over past hurdles and obstacles so you can move forward. Learn to be positive and feel good most of the time. What you think about you bring about! So be happy. Be grateful and you will transform, as you do these things to transform yourself. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

How To Get Your Imagination To Work For Your Success

“If you are working with your Vision Board and Vision Book that is great. Einstein said,’ Imagination is more important than knowledge. Work with your imagination and build that muscle as you do any muscle, through repetition.  Use these often and be delighted.

Feel wonderful and positive when you look at your Vision Board. If you don’t change or adjust it until you do. You want the images to inspire, motivate and make you feel wonderful. It is important to vibe high! You can customize  your Vision Board and Vision Book.

Go out window shopping. Dream big. Take photos of you in the location you want to be in. You can photoshop foreign locations if you wish. Actually, being there and trying on items is best. Try on the clothes you want to have. Take a photo wearing them in the store.

Visualize You Goals And Start Living Your Dreams Right Now

Put on the watch or jewelry and have a friend snap a pic. Sit behind the wheel in the car of your dreams and get your picture taken. Do a walk though of the house on the market that represents the one you want to own. Grab a pic. Print them out and use them.

Actually being there, feeling and holding the items, wearing them, sitting in or on them, being with them, makes it all the more real when you visualize. You will have felt it, felt the weight, the texture, smelled the smells. You will have experienced having it. Get it?

The more real to is to you the quicker and easier you are able to internalize it. You see it, smell it, feel it, hear it, taste it. All your senses are invoked. Then you can, more easily, imagine already having it because you have experienced it before. It is real to you.

Wrap Yourself In The Feelings Of It Already Being Yours

Put these photos on your Vision Board or Vision Book and use them daily. You may also wish to journal about what it is like to already be, do and have what you want. Tell the story you want to tell. Keep it positive and in present tense. The more real the better.

You are it, do it and have it right now. These practices keep you concentrated on what you want most. Remember, what you focus on you get! Be thankful for what you already have. Be thankful for what is coming to you. Celebrate everything! “Rex Sikes

Not Doing This Literally Robs You Of Your Life!

“Everyday you are being robbed. That absolutely sucks. Has anyone ever taken anything that belongs to you and not returned it. Not good, right? Every single day you are losing out.  Every day you are missing the mark and ending up with far less than you could have.

Each day you lose time. You lose energy. You lose opportunities that bypass you. Have you ever had an idea you thought was great, a money maker, but you didn’t take action on it. Someone else did and they enjoyed great success. Opportunities like that, may come once.

You may be reading the newspapers online and offline, articles on FB and more of the same, daily. You may be posting your displeasure and arguing with others. You may be viewing countless hours of video or attempting to get the very latest breaking news .

What You Read Has The Power To Change You 

You could be gossiping with co-workers and neighbors. Playing online games and gambling. Perhaps, you run down to the casino every few days to try your luck. Perhaps, you are reading trashy romance or popular novels one after the other. It doesn’t matter.

There are lots of ways to spend time.  It is important to feel good. Some things make us feel really good, which IS really good. Other things distract us from feeling not so good. They are ok. They bring pleasure and guilty pleasure but they are a substitute for good.

These distract us from ourselves and from our life. We can never get our time back. Ever! Wasting time robs us! So, how we spend our time, should be a priority for each of us. It is probably an accurate statement, that you could make better use of your time.  Am I right?

Reading Can Change Your Thoughts – Your Words – Your Actions

If you want to change, and transform yourself and your life into the best it can be, then there are things you need to do, that help you do that. One of these is reading. Reading inspirational and motivational books. Not just any book that comes along but some of the classics.

You’d be better served if, daily, you spend your time reading Napoleon Hill, Ernest Holmes, Wallace Wattles, Neville Goddard, David Schwartz, Joseph Murphy, Norman Vincent Peale, Dale Carnegie, and Abraham Hicks. Feed your mind some positivity.

Get some positive nutrition. Don’t get pulled down into the fray, rise above. Do some daily mental conditioning. If you could read for an hour each day that would be wonderful. If you think you can’t, then read whatever you can. 30, 20 15, 10, 5 or even a minute. Get it?

Your Life Does Not Get Better By Chance – You Change It

How you spend your time is crucial to your happiness and success. The more time you spend feeding and conditioning your mind for positive thoughts and enjoying positive feelings, the more positive actions you will take, that lead to positive outcomes and results.

Get it? Read these books and let them inspire you and direct your mind. Why read? Because when you do you use your imagination. You visualize and can picture yourself happy and successful. You affirm. You think, ‘I can do that!’ ‘I will do that!’ You use your mind.

Stop robbing yourself and start caring for yourself. You have to value your time and energy and how you use your mind and feelings.  Put an end to distractions that rob you. Instead, put your mind to good use. You never get back the time you waste! NOW, is the only time.

It Is Important To Think Positive And Feel Good Most Of Your Time

Remember, the more time you put your mind to better use, the more likely you are to get the good results and have the lifestyle you desire. Spend time feeling good. Use your imagination. Affirm your happiness!  You’ll feel happier and more successful as you do.

You’ll get further, faster, when you spend your time, filling your mind daily, with good, positive, reading material. Utilize  this blog as part of your regime. Spend time being inspired and feeling grateful. Practice appreciation for everything in your life. It will change you. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

How Not To Make Yourself Or Others Wrong

“Perception is everything. What you perceive IS what is. Someone says, ‘you hurt me’.  It may or may not be accurate. You may or may not have done anything, but, if they perceive it to be the case, then that is the reality. At least, for them. However, you are included.

Thus, it is somehow the reality for you, too. Do not argue against them. Don’t  say, ‘it’s all in your head. You’re making it up. You’re crazy. That’s not true.’ Making them wrong, won’t make it right. It is what they believe the reality is. You believe otherwise.

Everybody believes what they believe. Each of us believes our experience is the truth. It may not be. Still,  that’s what we believe it is. We want to be right. We don’t want to be told that we are wrong or crazy or insane or that it’s ridiculous to believe. We hate that.

The Limits Of Your Vision Are Not The Limits Of The World

Some say, ‘I saw with my own eyes. I heard with my own ears!’ Have you ever recounted a past event with a family member, or friend, and you have completely different versions of what occurred? It’s because we recall different elements. We perceive it differently.

If someone says they were slighted by you seek to find out exactly what occurred. Discover why they feel slighted. Attempt to smooth things over through rapport,  with trust and understanding. Put yourself in their shoes. Understand where they’re coming from.

By doing this, you preserve the relationship and, you might discover how they construed your behaviors to mean something particular. If you DID do something, even if you didn’t intend it, wouldn’t you want to make it better? Wouldn’t you want to correct it, if you could?

Difficulties Are Just Things To Overcome And Learn From 

Would you not want someone to do the same for you?  I assume you would want them to be understanding, patient, and tolerant of you. You’d prefer them to  not make snap judgments about you. Correct? Seek to understand where the other person is coming from.

You may help them see it differently. The high road may be to not defend, but say, ‘I am sorry. I didn’t mean to. That wasn’t my intent. What can I do to make up for it? How can we move past this?’ It isn’t about blaming you or them. It is about creating understanding.

Whenever you can build bridges instead of burn bridges that is what you might attempt to do. It may turn out they simply misunderstood you or that you inadvertently did, or said something, that hurt them. If you have a chance to make it better, do so. Don’t let ego prevent.

People See And Believe What They Want To See And Believe

It is better than blaming, even if they are. Blaming back, won’t help anything. Making excuses, whining, complaining, getting angry or getting even, doesn’t help. Perception is everything. It is what we believe is real. Whether it is or isn’t, we believe it to be.

You might think the economic downturn is why you have problems. It is why you have debt or can’t get a job. This will make it more difficult for you to get ahead. That’s a belief. That is what you perceive the situation to be. It may or may not be accurate.

You might believe the weather prevents you from doing certain things.  You may believe that your family or your educational background prevents you from creating success.  There could be ‘some truth’ to these.  A company may not be hiring. Get it?

What We See Never Has Anything To Do With The Truth

A company may require you have a particular degree  in order to get work. That doesn’t mean your your life is over if you don’t have one. There are plenty of wealthy,  happy people who aren’t educated well. Still, they became successful. They didn’t let it stop them. Don’t you.

Limitations only exist in the mind. Our imagination can be our best friend or our worst enemy. Problems exist mostly in the mind. It is what we think we can’t do that limits us. It is not thinking and not discovering what we can do that limits us. It is our imagination.

What we perceive the reality to be, will be what our reality is. If we think we are right and they are wrong, so be it. If we think they are right and we are wrong, so be it.  Whatever we think and believe to be the case or the reason becomes our story about what is.

My Perception Of You Is A Reflection Of Me

Don’t let thoughts stop you from doing the right thing. Don’t be stopped because your mindset hasn’t yet found a solution to a difficulty. Be optimistic. Become positive and seek to find or create a way. Adjust, correct and continue. Write a different story. You can!

Stay open. Become available and aware. Create harmony. Seek the high road. Be grateful. Appreciate yourself and your abilities. If you need to develop certain skills, develop them. Learn. Appreciate others. Realize perception IS everything! That is why Henry Ford said, ‘If you think you can or you think you can’t you are right!’ Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Do We Control Our Neurons Or Do They Control Us?

“I’m sharing some fascinating research, from a few years back, that you might not be aware of. It is pretty cool! Study subjects were able regulate the activity of specific neurons in the brain, by manipulating an image on a computer screen using only their thoughts.

A collaboration between scientists at UCLA and  the California Institute of Technology has demonstrated that test subjects were able to regulate the activity of specific neurons, increase the firing rate of some while decreasing the rate of others.

I’ll let you draw your own conclusion. I think it is fascinating that we are able to do so many more things than we realize we are able to. Science helps us discover more of what we are capable of. Perhaps, we should never say never, but find a way instead.

You can turn it around. You may not believe that yet, but you absolutely can. Ultimately, it is important that you do if you’d like to make some permanent. positive changes but you can begin right where you are. That’s what I did. That’s what everyone does.

The good news is you wouldn’t be programmed or conditioned as you were in the past unless you were programmable. This means you are pliable. You are able to be influenced and fashioned. Most of it happened when you were very young but it is true today too.

Think Positive – Be Positive – And Positive Things Will Happen

Your brain is able to grow and develop. When you learn and acquire new things your brain actually structurally changes. It is called ‘neuroplasticity’. Today, whatever age you are, you can change and grow and evolve for the positive when you take charge to do it.

What does that mean? Well, most of us walk around in the mindset we were conditioned to as a child. We live, almost as if we are in an hypnotic trance. Why do I say that? Because we react to life experiences without having to think about it. We are habitual.

We can wake up from that trance. We can wake up and discover your inner and outer resources. You can go beyond limiting beliefs and conditioned mindset and behaviors. You can wake up!  How do you awaken? It is actually quite simple. You decide to wake up.

We Are What We Repeatedly Do Make A Decision To Be Excellent

Make a decision now to begin to live in a more positive way even if you don’t know how. Think it. Say it. ‘Even though I am not completely sure how to begin I am learning how…’ That’s it. The first step is be willing to move forward. You don’t have to know how.

Affirm that throughout the day. Say it and mean it. Muster up as much emotional enthusiasm as you are able and think and say it enthusiastically. Mean it! Commit to it as much as you can. Renew your commitment and repeat every day. ‘I am a positive person’.

‘I think and feel  positive. I feel good about myself. I am in the process of learning to feel more positive. I am taking charge of my thoughts and actions. I am taking charge of my life. It feels good to be positive.’ Or some variation that is meaningful to you. Okay? DO IT.

Talking About Problems Is Our Greatest Addition – Break It

Spend a few concentrated moments each morning and evening. Then throughout the day whenever you are able to. Repeat it out loud or to yourself. To wake up from conditioned trance all it takes is concentration, your imagination and suggestion. You can wake up.

You can be free.  If you want your life to be different you must do different things from what you have been doing. You make some small changes that ultimately are quite powerful. Only 1% change a day will result in 365% change in a year. THAT is impressive. 1%!

Read a little positive inspirational material each day or listen to audios. I recommend, Napoleon Hill’s ‘Think and Grow Rich.’ Read a few minutes each day and think about what you read. Make a study of it. Easy does it, but reflect on it. Let it sink in. Make it part of you.

Break The Habit – Talk About Your Joys – Think I Can Do This

Make a list of 25 things that you are grateful for at bedtime. A great habit to develop is to write them in a journal. Find different things each day. If it seems tough at first that is okay. It gets easier as you get used to looking for these. You get what you focus on.

Gratitude is a great way to change everything about you and your life. Each morning I think and say this first thing. ‘I love my life! Something magical is going to happen to me today! I accept all the wonderful gifts of the universe! Today is my day! I love my life.’

You can too! Allow little things to delight and surprise you and you make room for bigger things. You condition yourself for thinking and feeling good. The little bits of time you spend doing this pay off big. See it in your mind, say it and it becomes your reality. It really does.

Imagination Is More Important Than Knowledge – Use It – Do It

Use your imagination and visualize yourself as you want to be. Imagine you are already there. You are that person and you are already doing those things. See it. Affirm it. Feel it. You will eventually live it. That is how it works from the inside out!

Concentration, imagination and suggestion. You do each just a little bit each day and you will be surprised how quickly you can change. Don’t bite off more than you can chew. Go at your own pace. Slightly challenge yourself to keep it interesting and celebrate everything!”
