Today’s Collected Wisdom To Keep In Mind

“Every morning, we should set our day at the beginning. Use this valuable time to put on a positive mindset and greet the day. This has great practical value. It helps us to focus on what we want to accomplish and sets the frame for the day.

How we begin the race determines how we may end the race. Not always, but enough of the time to realize, how we start can determine how we follow through. Emerson said, ‘Do the thing and and you will have the power.’ Create positive morning rituals.

Why Don’t People, Including You, Change When They Want To?

“You try to change? You want to lose weight, gain weight, get out of debt, spend less money, Yet, you don’t. You try to make more money, feel happier, stop yelling at kids,  or quit smoking but you haven’t. What’s up with this? Why don’t people change if they want to?

The short answer is: They haven’t decided to. They want to but haven’t made the decision. That is one heck of a major reason. They hope to, wish to, and want to really, really, badly, BUT they haven’t actually said, ‘I will change’.  YOU haven’t committed to it, either.

Instead they try different things. All of which don’t work, according to them. They make excuses, they blame others. They tell themselves, ‘it will be hard’. They say things like, ‘I don’t know how.’ They blame god, the world, the economy, even themselves.

Unsuccessful People Make Decisions Based On What Sucks Now

‘I can’t change’. ‘I’ve tried everything.’ UH, NO, YOU HAVEN’T. You may think you have tried everything, but you haven’t. May seems like it, but nope. You’re not  doing the right things. You keep doing the same things over and over wishing and hoping it would be different.

That’s part of the problem. You have to do something ACTUALLY different! You have to say you will and then you have to commit to it. You have been putting it off. Fearing it. Resisting it. Worrying about it. You have been programming yourself to fail again! STOP THIS!

STOP the Insanity! You need to program yourself to succeed. You need to quit failing and start succeeding. As Henry Ford stated, ‘Whether you think you can’t or you think you can. You are right’. You’ve lied about why you can’t change. Now, lie about why you can.

Successful People Decide Based On Where They Want To Be

You have to decide you will. Commit to it. Affirm that commitment each and every day, every hour and every minute, if need be. Commit and persist. Believe you can do it. Affirm that you can do it. Decide it will be easier than you imagine, even though, it may be tough.

It requires as much effort and action as it requires. You don’t take a bazooka after a gnat when a flyswatter will do. Still, you must do whatever it takes. You must keep doing it until you make it a new habit and master it. You must engage your mind power. You must!

You must make your thoughts and feelings work for you instead of the way you typically use them. You must take charge and decide that you are larger than any problem you could possibly have. YOU are in charge. You will do it. You will make it happen. You – You – You!

There Is Power In Making The Decision To Do Something Positive

Stop doing the old things the old ways. Stop doing the old habits. Make some new ones. Create thought, feeling and action habits that serve you. Weed the garden. Stop feeding the weeds. Feed only what you want to grow. Speak only that which promotes growth.

Align your thoughts, feelings, words and actions. Focus your attention powerfully on what you want to create and do it. The more you do the more you can do. Break it into manageable steps at first. Chunk it down. Step by step, but do it. You can learn to do anything.

Appreciate that you want to change. Appreciate what you want to change because something about it served you. Right or wrong there was something in the behavior for you. Now change and appreciate you have decided it is time. Appreciate your efforts. Be glad!

You Have The Power To Change Your Life At Any Moment

Appreciate your progress. Each day feel blessed and thankful for the effort, the progress, the slip-ups and mistakes, the return to progress and for your persistence. Unless You Do This You Are Bound To Fail!

“For nearly 40 years I have asked this question in articles, presentations and seminars near and far, ‘What is it that stops most people?’ What is it that prevents people from being happy, having the career they want, a great relationship and living their dreams?

Some answer fear. Some say doubt. Others answer procrastination. Apathy some say. Others chime in struggle, it’s too hard. Failure, they give up. I get many similar answers. What is the bottom line? What are all these made of? What is common among these?

Thoughts. A thought. A mental packet of elctro-chemical energy is what stops most people. People think they are afraid. They have thoughts of doubt; they think it is too hard. They tried and are convinced they can’t succeed. They think, ‘I’ll do it later.’

Who You Think You Are Or Are Not Can Hold You Back

This is why I have been a champion for gaining control of what goes on in your head, between your ears, and in your body. People allow themselves to lose out, miss out, not have what they want and don’t even try because of what they think repeatedly day in and day out.

The truth is this! ALL IT IS IS A HABIT! You think it otherwise? Of course, you do AND that IS the point. People have learned lines of thinking that they repeat blindly throughout the years that determine the course of their lives and they do not change it.

They think the same thing over and over and wonder why life doesn’t change. IT WON’T either unless people change what they learned to do so well. In order to change one needs to know a changes is necessary. One needs to become aware. Awareness!

Discipline Is Your Friend Not Your Enemy – Create Good Habits

Then one needs to know what to change and change it. If you are engaged in a non-supportive or destructive habit then you must first realize it is the habit causing the problems and replace the habit with a better, supportive productive one. Get it? You must do something.

If you do nothing everything remains the same. Some people try many things, they change jobs, they try to diet, they change partners, they move to different locations BUT their thinking remains the same. That is why they marry the same person again and again.

That is why they find themselves repeating the same mistakes in different places. Their thinking remained the same. Take charge of your thinking and you can begin to change everything for the better. You can make improve your life. You can improve everything.

The Only Difference Between A Good And Bad Day Is Attitude

After all it is only a thought. Thoughts can be changed. The thoughts you think are the basis for your feelings and your actions. What you think and believe create your reality, your present and your tomorrow. Your thoughts form your experiences.

Learn to change your thoughts! Learn to manage your thoughts. Learn to take charge of your thinking and you will improve your life! Everything can begin to change when you choose what you think. You win when you tell your brain what to think instead of your brain telling you. Take charge! Choose! Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Wake Up Feeling Wonderful: How To Get Out Of The Trances You’re In!

“People grow up in trance. We are conditioned from birth on. We are conditioned so well that most of us don’t realize the depth of trance we live in and from. We need to wake up and become aware. The question is how? How do we awaken from the trances we are in?

Most of our problems stem from our trances. They come from the conditioning. We have adopted limitations and limiting beliefs that we aren’t even aware are not our own. They were handed to us mostly from well intentioned others and some not well intentioned.

We wander through life not straying far from artificial boundaries that were introduced to us. We made these our own. We think it is who we are and what we are capable of. We clearly don’t know who we are or how much more capable we truly are. We just don’t know.

Wake Up Become Aware  – Live With Awareness

Because most of us live within a comfort zone we don’t venture further. Sometimes we are forced to wake up and for the first time we confront the limits of our thinking. Then we realize these limits aren’t us, they’re imposed on us. At this point we can become free.

If we choose to. If we become aware and work to override our previous conditioning we can awaken to who we are. We can begin to monitor our thoughts and self-talk for when it is supportive and when it is not. We can begin to live free, different and better lives.

To begin to live free of our previous conditioning we need to stop or drop the trance and wake up. We can do this by changing the self-talk from not supportive to supportive. We choose our thoughts and re-condition ourselves though affirmations and visualization.

Drop Old Conditioning – Become Aware And Live Life Differently

We can direct our mind with the artful use of questions. We change ourselves using the same methods we were originally conditioned with. Exposure and repetition. We repeat powerful new thoughts and ideas, declarations or affirmations with loads of good feelings.

It is the feelings combined with the powerful declarations that make it work. Feelings are the drivers. Mere repetition of phrases does little. Combined with enthusiasm and positive feelings the affirmations take hold and do their work. Repeat; repeat correctly!

You develop new habits doing the same positive behavior over and over again, correctly, for a long enough duration. It takes consistency and persistence. It takes time to condition ones body for health and beauty too. Everything takes some time. Be patient and optimistic.

When You Wake Up In The Morning You Simply Wake Up

Self-hypnosis can be helpful too.  Altering brain states is useful. Relaxing and listening to peaceful music while giving yourself positive suggestions is a worthwhile practice. Calm the mind and focus on your suggestions. Visualize and see yourself.

See yourself as you describe yourself in your affirmations. Imagine carrying out your tasks and living your life the way you want to be. Affirming while relaxing is the basis of self suggestion. A good time to do this is when going to bed, before sleep and upon waking up.

You can learn the art of self-suggestion or hypnosis from books and tapes. You want to relax but not fall asleep until you are finished with the process. Then sleep is fine. Meditation is a wonderful way to free yourself of old conditioning and awaken to who you are.

One Moment You Are Asleep Oblivious The Next Moment Awake

In meditation you learn to allow whatever is going on in the mind to go on without getting emotionally attached to it. You look at it as an impartial observer. You witness it without becoming involved in it. Typically, we follow wherever our thoughts take us. They lead.

The goal is to either be free of your thoughts as in meditation OR to choose you thoughts by managing them. In meditation you don’t choose you allow. However, it begins by learning the ability to focus. You might focus on your breath. Whenever distracted you return.

We can pay attention to the rise and fall of our belly. Simply place your awareness there. Whenever you become aware that you are no longer paying attention to your belly you return your attention to it. You will do that again and again. That is the process.

Don’t Wander Through Life Missing It – Wake Up To What Is

The process is learning to return your attention to what you are focused on. In managing your thoughts you do similarly. Whenever you notice you are not thinking positively you change your thoughts from negative to positive. You shift what you are doing. Get it?

In either practice you do it without blame or judgement. Just bring your attention back to the task at hand. Belly or positive thoughts. Eventually, in both you develop the ability to stay with it longer and longer. You condition yourself in positive and beneficial ways.

However, in mediation, you learn later to disengage and simply be the watcher of the thoughts. Imagine sitting near a stream and simply watching leaves float by on the water. Imagine clouds floating by in the sky. Our thoughts float by too. Instead of riding we watch.

You Didn’t Wake Up Today To Be Mediocre – Discover Yourself

Typically, whatever thought we think takes us into a series of other thoughts down the rabbit hole. Instead of traveling with the thoughts and getting emotional with them we watch without judgement. We are simply aware of them. Separate from them.

These methods are all quite simple to do. They each can help us wake up and go beyond what we have known previously. They help us experience other aspects of life we can’t know without having the experience. Give them the opportunity to work for you. Practice.

Affirmations and visualization, self hypnosis or mediation are wonderful processes. I’ll share another that is wonderful. Gratitude. Focus on being and feeling genuine gratitude for who you are. The simple practice of being appreciative is powerfully transformative.

If You Want To Be Happy You Have To Be Happy On Purpose

Be thankful for what you are, what you do, where you are, where you are on your journey and all that you have. Be thankful for what you don’t have yet. Be glad for all of it. Really feel it! Journal it. Celebrate and delight in it. When you do you change. You truly change. Give these methods a chance. You will be surprised. Most importantly, celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

An Easy Formula For Making The Changes You Want!

“Are you one of those people who gets down on yourself? Things  frequently don’t work out well? Perhaps, you blame yourself or your parents, your upbringing and social conditioning for your current mindset and woes. I’ve got some good news for you!

You can turn it around. You may not believe that yet, but you absolutely can. Ultimately, it is important that you do if you’d like to make some permanent. positive changes but you can begin right where you are. That’s what I did. That’s what everyone does.

The good news is you wouldn’t be programmed or conditioned as you were in the past unless you were programmable. This means you are pliable. You are able to be influenced and fashioned. Most of it happened when you were very young but it is true today too.

Think Positive – Be Positive – And Positive Things Will Happen

Your brain is able to grow and develop. When you learn and acquire new things your brain actually structurally changes. It is called ‘neuroplasticity’. Today, whatever age you are, you can change and grow and evolve for the positive when you take charge to do it.

What does that mean? Well, most of us walk around in the mindset we were conditioned to as a child. We live, almost as if we are in an hypnotic trance. Why do I say that? Because we react to life experiences without having to think about it. We are habitual.

We can wake up from that trance. We can wake up and discover your inner and outer resources. You can go beyond limiting beliefs and conditioned mindset and behaviors. You can wake up!  How do you awaken? It is actually quite simple. You decide to wake up.

We Are What We Repeatedly Do Make A Decision To Be Excellent

Make a decision now to begin to live in a more positive way even if you don’t know how. Think it. Say it. ‘Even though I am not completely sure how to begin I am learning how…’ That’s it. The first step is be willing to move forward. You don’t have to know how.

Affirm that throughout the day. Say it and mean it. Muster up as much emotional enthusiasm as you are able and think and say it enthusiastically. Mean it! Commit to it as much as you can. Renew your commitment and repeat every day. ‘I am a positive person’.

‘I think and feel  positive. I feel good about myself. I am in the process of learning to feel more positive. I am taking charge of my thoughts and actions. I am taking charge of my life. It feels good to be positive.’ Or some variation that is meaningful to you. Okay? DO IT.

Talking About Problems Is Our Greatest Addition – Break It

Spend a few concentrated moments each morning and evening. Then throughout the day whenever you are able to. Repeat it out loud or to yourself. To wake up from conditioned trance all it takes is concentration, your imagination and suggestion. You can wake up.

You can be free.  If you want your life to be different you must do different things from what you have been doing. You make some small changes that ultimately are quite powerful. Only 1% change a day will result in 365% change in a year. THAT is impressive. 1%!

Read a little positive inspirational material each day or listen to audios. I recommend, Napoleon Hill’s ‘Think and Grow Rich.’ Read a few minutes each day and think about what you read. Make a study of it. Easy does it, but reflect on it. Let it sink in. Make it part of you.

Break The Habit – Talk About Your Joys – Think I Can Do This

Make a list of 25 things that you are grateful for at bedtime. A great habit to develop is to write them in a journal. Find different things each day. If it seems tough at first that is okay. It gets easier as you get used to looking for these. You get what you focus on.

Gratitude is a great way to change everything about you and your life. Each morning I think and say this first thing. ‘I love my life! Something magical is going to happen to me today! I accept all the wonderful gifts of the universe! Today is my day! I love my life.’

You can too! Allow little things to delight and surprise you and you make room for bigger things. You condition yourself for thinking and feeling good. The little bits of time you spend doing this pay off big. See it in your mind, say it and it becomes your reality. It really does.

Imagination Is More Important Than Knowledge – Use It – Do It

Use your imagination and visualize yourself as you want to be. Imagine you are already there. You are that person and you are already doing those things. See it. Affirm it. Feel it. You will eventually live it. That is how it works from the inside out!

Concentration, imagination and suggestion. You do each just a little bit each day and you will be surprised how quickly you can change. Don’t bite off more than you can chew. Go at your own pace. Slightly challenge yourself to keep it interesting and celebrate everything!”

How To Feel Energized And Alive When You Don’t But You Need To!

“What do you do when you are feeling exhausted and need to rest? You have so much you need to do and you can’t take a break. Can you manage your energy to get it done? Yes, there are many things you can do and I will share a few. First, rest if you can.

Even a short nap can be refreshing and renewing. Better to catch a few z’s than struggle to keep the lids open. Close your eyes, focus on your breath, allow yourself to drift off. If you are on a deadline, set a timer so you get back up. Catch a few when possible during the day.

A minute or two. Five is better, 20 might be heavenly. Get some rest if you can. If you can’t then learn to manage your physical body. Energy begets energy. How you sit, stand, and move matters. Sit as if you have 5 times more energy. Stand, move as if you had 5x more.

If You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

It is always useful to practice in advance of needing things. That is why athletes and sports teams practice and rehearse ahead of matches, bouts, games and meets. Rehearsal helps wire in what you need. So move you body as if you had lots and lots of energy!

Walk, put the look on your face, move your hands and feet as if you had 2x, 5x, 10x even 20x more energy. Jump, shout, dance, sing, laugh. Use you physiology to wake you up. Research has born out YET AGAIN that even adopting a standing power stance works.

I have been teaching this for 40 years. Yoga and other disciplines for centuries. How you stand, sit, and move either energizes or relaxes you. How you breath, how you think does the same. Asanas or postures can energize or relax. Stand with power and confidence.

The More You Do The More You Can Do – Energy Begets Energy

You know what that looks like. Chin up, head back. Chest out. Hands on hips as Superman stands or out stretched. Hold it for a minute or two. Your body responds. It is electro-chemical. It is biological. It is neurologically wired. Learn to use it. It works. It really does. Try it.

Eat food that helps you become alert. A lot of bread and pasta and processed foods, put you into zzzzzz zone. Sugar will get your revved up but then you crash. Soda’s the same. Energy drinks aren’t wise choices. Drink water and eat some protein. Be smart about food.

Drink plenty of water. Stay hydrated. Most of us are dehydrated much of the time. By the time we are thirsty it is too late. Better to drink or sip water every 15 minutes or half an hour. Water keeps our brain and body operating better. After all, we are mostly water.

The More Relaxed The Muscles The More Energy Can Flow

Breath! Get some fresh air. Cooler is more refreshing and wakes us up more than hot. Cool fresh air if possible. Fresh air if nothing else. And breath. Learn some breathing techniques designed to relax and learn those designed to energize. You can learn this.

Just a few deep breaths can work wonders. Talk a walk. Change you location. Look around. Enjoy your surroundings. Take a break. Bend and stretch. Stretch left, right, and back. Gently. Arms over head. Stretch. Get a massage. Massage your feet. Change your shoes.

Little things can make a big difference. Smile more. Laugh. Juggle, dance, skip. Look far off into the horizon, scan it for awhile. Changing your focus and where you are looking works wonders. Sometimes we only look as far away as the computer screen on the desk.

By Thinking Positive Thoughts And Images You Raise Your Energy

Have some tea. Some suggest coffee. Organic coffee and tea and pure water is a better choice than chemically laden commercial brands. If you aren’t allergic bee pollen or honey may give you a boost. Organic raw honey is preferable. It is low glycemic.

Just make certain anything you do doesn’t cause more issues. Take it easy. Check with your medical practitioner to be sure you can engage in some process, exercise or food group. Be safe, smart and be wise. Most important, manage your thinking. This really matters.

If your self talk is all a downer, and about how tired and exhausted you are you will be. What you say is what you get. If your self talk is upbeat and positive you are more apt to be so. Put on some up beat or inspiring music if you need assistance. Attitude is everything.

Feel Alive – Feel Yourself Vibrating – Feel Your Cells Singing

Visualize yourself filled with light, white energizing light. See yourself feeling wonderful and energized going through your day. Notice how you look, sound and move. Bask in the energy. Feel it. Do a chakra energy meditation. Use whatever works for you.

It’s all energy management. Be thankful and filled with gratitude. Express enthusiasm and joy and appreciation for everything. Drop within and feel connected and alive. Notice how good it is to be alive and above ground. Be grateful.  Celebrate everything!’ Rex Sikes

How To Get Better Or Good At Anything

“Would you like to get better at what you’re doing? Any skill, whether it’s piano playing, cooking, a sport, talking with others, attracting a mate, negotiating a career, managing your own mind and controlling your thoughts. You can.  It isn’t that difficult really.

How would you like to get better at  taking charge of your feelings and making your dreams come true? Would you like that? When you know how to do it there may be many things you would like to improve. Imagine all your dreams coming true. Nice, huh. Okay.

Here is how you improve any skill.  Imagine a juggler. Imagine this person is learning to juggle and keep a number of objects in the air. Imagine that this juggler every time an object drops and isn’t caught or juggled but hits the floor, THIS juggler slaps his or her face HARD!

Repetition Is The Mother Of Skill – Skills You Develop

Whenever this juggle makes a mistake, large or small, this juggler insults or criticize himself and makes himself feel horribly bad. The juggler thinks to himself, out loud or silently, ‘I suck! I’ll never make it. I can’t do this. I’m a loser. I’m horrible! This sucks. Crap’

She thinks, ‘I screwed up again. I’ll never learn. What a klutz. This is hard. Shit! F’n balls are too slippery.  It’s too cold in here. I can’t juggle when it’s cold. Too many distractions I cant concentrate. I give up.” Do you think this person would be a good juggler anytime soon?

Most likely not. Yet that is what many people do when it comes to taking charge of their own lives, controlling their finances, meeting the person of their dreams, losing weight, feeling confident, doing anything or making any change. They criticize themselves.

Mastering Yourself Is True Power – Know Thyself

They’re hard on themselves. They abuse themselves. They punish themselves. They shame themselves. Then wonder why they don’t make any changes. You can’t punish you yourself and expect to gain skills and talents and abilities and positive attitudes and well-being.

You are going to feel bad, negative and awful. Feeling awful isn’t going to make you better anytime soon. What do YOU do when YOU make a mistake? What could you do instead that would help you learn and improve and move you forward with the skills?

Accept the mistake!  Allow it. Forgive yourself and move on gently. You redo it, again. If you screw up again you, again, gently move on. Don’t punish yourself. Instead  encourage yourself. Think, ‘better luck next time’. Enjoy practice. Keep the faith. Expect the best!

If You Develop Just One Skill Make It The Ability To Focus

Think, ‘that’s alright. Good for you! That’s the spirit. Keep the at it! Good job! You’re moving forward.’ You encourage. You don’t have to go overboard with the praise but you pat yourself on the back for whatever you did. Accept whatever you did without criticism.

Don’t expect to be perfect right out of the gate. You won’t be. Understand there is a learning curve and accept that you’re not perfect. Accept that you’re not God. Accept that you don’t know how to do it, yet, but that you will improve in time.

With time and patience; with correct repetition and encouragement you’ll get better and better. You could be a world-class champion if you give yourself permission to go that far and become one. AND if you  aren’t too hard on yourself and allow yourself to get good.

Simple Consistent Good Habits Lead To A Life Of Blissful Blessings

Even those who are the best at things have bad days. You can bet they didn’t get to be the best by wallowing in pity and shame, hate, anger and frustration. They worked hard, it’s true. They had to develop their mindset and their feelings.

They had to make sure their feelings were in check. They had to take the appropriate actions. They did all that and you can too! It is far better to pat yourself on the back for something attempted and not perfect then shame and blame yourself for trying.

Books are made better in the second edition. That’s why there ARE second editions.  You have second chance. You have opportunities to repeat. You get to do over your practice to get better. Repetition is what builds habits.

You Can Develop Any Habit You Deem Desirable Or Necessary

Correct repetition over the appropriate amount of time is what builds positive skill. Attitude also helps build skill. You can’t be negative and expect positive results. You must get your mind working for you instead of against you. Manage your mind!

The right mindset says ‘I can do this. I am learning. I’m a beginner. I can get better through practice. I enjoy this. I love this! This is fun! I’m so glad I do this.’ The right mindset nurtures oneself and one’s abilities. You correct and continue. You move forward positively.

Allow yourself permission to fail because all success is built on failure. Don’t fear failing. Don’t try not to make mistakes. Accept them! That IS how you learn and grow. You adjust. You make corrections. You repeat. In doing so you build positive habits.

Excellence Is Not An Exception It Is A Prevailing Attitude

All masters were once disasters.  All top pros were once rank amateurs. Everyone starts from the same place. Zero, zip! We begin, we practice, We improve. Mastery is a process not a one time event. Don’t let a bad attitude prevent you from being your best. Excel!

You can develop any skill, any talent, any ability. You can manage your thoughts and your emotions. You can take control of your mind. You can make your dreams come true if you will only allow yourself to do so. Give yourself permission to fail. It is okay, it truly is!

Take the sting out of failure by stopping trying to not fail. If you are focused on, ‘not failing’ guess what you are more likely to do. Don’t avoid it. Accept it, embrace it and move beyond it. You’ll go further faster when you do. Let go of having to be perfect.

We Are What We Repeatedly Do – Positive Or Negative

Give yourself permission to succeed. Love yourself through it all. Be patient. Be thankful you can do anything at all! Be thankful you have the opportunity to screw up. Not everyone does. Not everyone can do what you are learning to do. Be glad you are able to!

Everyone who succeeds was once a novice. Be thankful you can as well as you can. Be grateful in all things. The right attitude is like grease to the wheel. It accelerates everything. You can get better the more you relax yourself and let it happen. Yes, commit to practice but make it positive practice. That’s why I tell you always celebrate everything.” Rex Sikes

“Speak only to bless, heal and prosper. Don’t waste time or energy or risk creating more of what you don’t want by reliving it over and over by retelling it. Have the sense to let it go. If it sucked, that is what was. Now get over it and get on. Think something else.

Find the good. Learn self control. Direct your thoughts and energy and feelings elsewhere that will bring you the good you want instead of the bad you don’t or didn’t. You learn to control your thinking for so you are able to create what you want more of in life.

What you want more of FOCUS on. What you don’t want stop focusing on it. Let it go. Leave it alone. Think differently about it. Control you thinking, your words, your feelings and your actions. Become the master of them instead of their servant.

Clear Your Mind Of Can’t – Devote Your Mind To I Can

Run your brain don’t be run by it. Determine what you want, and who you want to be and create it. Create yourself to be the person you want to be. Choose wisely, because some aren’t so smart. You’ll Be Much Better Off Doing This Daily

“If you want enduring success and happiness there are some simple things you must do. Failure to do them, most probably means, you won’t get what you want. However, IF you do them, your outlook for happiness and success becomes very great, It is simple and easy.

Today, set your mind on getting your goals. Become determined. Develop your power of concentration and focus. Control your thoughts and your mind. Make the decision that you will do it no matter what. Become steel-willed and live your purpose!

If you find that difficult, or if you find it difficult to believe you are the kind of person who can, realize you are only thinking from old, prior, conditioned  thought habits. Some people call it ‘stinkin thinkin’. Old conditioning is conflicting with the new thoughts.

If Your Habits Don’t Serve You – It Is Time To Change Your Habits

Your brain is attempting to preserve the old way. It is trying to help you continue to be the same. It is attempting to keep doing what you already know. However, if you always do what you always did you will always get what you always got. You will stay limited.

If you want to BE different, now, if you want to change your life, then you must change some of the things you are thinking and doing on a daily basis. You must learn and engage in new habits of success. You must decide to be different and then practice the new way.

Practice it each day, throughout the day, until you master it. Begin with your thoughts since those come before anything else. Think the best thoughts you can each moment. Believe in yourself! Some people will tell you ‘positive thinking’ isn’t important.

Have The Courage To Dream Big And The Will To See It Through

They say ‘just do it’. Don’t think about it. Do the behavior. I say, ‘just do it’ too, but it is your thinking that determines whether or not you will. It precedes your feelings. The first things to get control over, THAT you CAN get control over are  your thoughts.

Manage you mental images and your self talk. Keep it up-lifting. Manage it. As you do your feelings follow. You feel good when you think positive and you think more positive as you feel good. When you feel good you feel more like do what you need to do. Get it?

Begin, by determining what you want, and affirming it. Repeat it out-loud enthusiastically,  with great emotion. Mean what you say.  Do it whenever you can, out-loud and silently. If you hear yourself say things out-loud or silently to yourself that don’t support you, stop it.

Believe In Yourself – You Can Achieve It If You Believe You Can 

Stop and phrase it differently, stating what you do want, instead. Begin today! Apply it to your goals. Apply it to your major purpose and plans for your life. Don’t delay. Do it! The longer you wait to start, the longer you will have waited.  That is all waiting does.

Think and say; ‘I know my goal. I know what I want. Today, I am going for it! I realize that all I have to do is do it! All I have to do is go for it. I take action. I go for it! I am putting all my energy and attention into making it work. I am able. I can get my goals. I am un-stoppable!’

Put it into your own words. Power yourself up, control your thinking, aim your mind, feelings and behaviors into thinking, feeling AND doing those things, large or small, that move you forward. Tiny things are better than none. Positivity is better than negativity.

Believe It – Feel It – Take Action – Make It A Habit – Brings Success

Think; ‘I can do this. I can learn to enjoy it. This is fun. I like getting what I want. I do what it takes to get my goal. I can learn to do it and enjoy it. I am confident and capable. I a positive and powerful. I like making things happen for me and others! I direct my thoughts!’

Take charge. Be invincible and determined. Make it happen. A little bit gets great results, when done correctly, consistently, repeatedly over a long enough time. It is simple and it is basic. Master the simple and master the basics and your entire life can transform. It will!

The people who are most happy and successful are not engaged in elaborate , complicated processes. They are just like you and I, except that they have mastered basic success habits that they do everyday. You can too! Do it! AND celebrate everything!”

You Never Succeed By Repeating Your Failures: Change This Today!

“You want things to be different. You want it to get better.  How do you make the changes? What do you first do?  How do you change habits? How do you gain control over your thoughts? You do it through awareness. Awareness is the first step of the process.

First, you must become aware of the old conditioning, the old negativity, and recognize while you are in the midst of it. If you don’t know when you are engaged in an old, less than glorious, or destructive pattern, you won’t be able to alter it.

Eventually, you will notice when it engages earlier. You will become more aware as it initiates so you can take control and shift it over to the new positive thinking. As you do this you free yourself from the old conditioning and replace it with the new habits you desire.

Your Life Won’t Change Unless You Change What You Do Daily

Awareness. It works like this. If you want to end anger, fear or negative self talk, anything, you change how you respond to it after you notice it. Most people do what they don’t want to and when they realize it feel bad, criticize themselves and feel worse. They shame.

Sadly, that doesn’t work to change it. What you do instead is, after the fact, you celebrate that you noticed you did the old behavior. You pat yourself on the back. You embrace yourself for becoming aware. You stop criticizing the old behavior and appreciate the awareness.

Your changes won’t happen overnight but through time. You didn’t become the age you are overnight. It took time. This won’t take as long but it is a process. Each time, every tim, you notice the  less than glorious thinking or behaviors note it on paper. Keep track.

Awareness Is The First Step To Change – Apply What You Learn

Soon you will notice it while it is going on. You will notice it earlier and earlier. When you accept it and appreciate yourself you train yourself to notice what you want to notice. You are not conflicted, nor divided. You do not perpetuate the old as you had been.

This is the first part of the process. You become aware and you notate each time it occurs. You actually stop and put down a hashmark or some notation that works for you. It requires that you discipline yourself to do this. If you want it enough, you’ll do it.

A powerful way to change your thinking from less than glorious to more glorious is to keep a diary. Keep a diary of every negative thought you think. Whenever you complain or blame jot it down. Whenever you make an excuse jot it down. Keep track!

The Secret Of Success Is In Your Daily Routine And Habits

Keep an on going track of all the negative or less than glorious thoughts you think. Every time you blame god, the universe, the weather, the government, traffic, your boss, spouse, kids, neighbors, dog or alarm clock stop and notate that you are thinking negative.

Stop, then switch it to a positive thought. Change it. Stop complaining. Start accepting responsibility for your life whether directly responsible or not. Assume ALL responsibility. If you want to change your life you have to change what you think and do.

For example, you discover yourself thinking, or saying out loud to yourself or others, ‘it is hard to make money in this economy’, or ‘I’m late because there was too much traffic on the road this morning’, or ‘you can’t be happy all the time’. Any less than glorious statement.

Stop Expecting Things And Others To Change – You Go First

Stop, note it and think or say, ‘it isn’t the economy that determines my wealth it is me. I create the exact amount of money I want.’ or something positive to that effect. ‘I was late because I didn’t get on the road early enough. I was late because I was late.’ Accept it.

You can affirm, ‘I will start earlier’, or ‘I can learn to be on time’, or ‘I accept responsibility for being on time’, or ‘I am always on time’, or ‘if it is to be it is up to me’. What it is that you desire to be is how you phrase your positive declaration. Affirm what you want.

“I can be happy because I choose to be happy. Happiness is a choice’. Switch the old thought out for something positive and more productive. Accept responsibility for everything. When you accept 100% responsibility for EVERYTHING that happens, things change.

Change Brings Opportunity – Opportunity Brings Change

All negative thoughts, excuses, complaints and blames are negative declarations. They are negative affirmations. They keep you stuck in old chronic thinking. All worry is negative planning for the future. Stop! Become aware and change your thinking. Take charge.

When you do you learn a great and powerful lesson to apply everywhere. You learn that if you created your present, less than desirable circumstances, you can uncreate them. You can’t do that if you keep living as a victim of circumstances.

You need to live as a victor. You need to dictate the circumstances and not be governed by them. Champions don’t blame others or the world. They know if they are going to prevail and remain a champion it is completely up to them. Their mindset is a winning mindset.

Awareness Allows You To Get Outside Your Mind And Observe It

You need to manage and control your thoughts and not be run  by old chronic negative conditioning. It is time you put yourself in the driver’s seat of your mind and your life. You can create something new and better. It begins with awareness.

It begins noticing how often you give away your power. You do it each time you make an excuse, ‘the traffic was heavy’, ‘the dog ate my homework’ You usurp your own power and authority by complaining and blaming. Claim it back. Notice when you do it.

Notice how often you do it. Keep track in your diary. Doing this will draw you attention to it. As you notice and catch yourself again and again, AND then shift the negative thought, or talk, to a positive statement, you will slip up less and less. You will transform!

We Do Not See Things As They Are – We See Things As We Are

Fewer and fewer times will you blame and excuse. More and more often you will catch it and shift it to the positive and productive. You will continue to notice sooner and sooner. You keep shifting your attention to the positive until you build a positive new success habit.

Once it is a habit it will work reliably and automatically. You will find yourself thinking more powerfully positive as a result. All of your life can change as you change your thinking. Just as a ripple moves outward and grows bigger and affects more so do your thoughts.

Change your thoughts and your feelings change. With new thought and feeling your actions become positively inspired. As you continue to act more positively you develop new success habits which in turn can lead to new, positive results. Your life improves. Get it?

Being Aware Isn’t The Absence Of Mistakes But Correcting Them

The more you do it the easier it is to do and the better results you get. It begins by developing your awareness of the old triggers and gently, lovingly, replacing them. Accept, allow, adapt and adopt a new way of being.  You appreciate, notate, and shift to the positive.

Awareness grows the more it is exercised. You abilities do so, too. Keep at it. Commit to the process and you will begin to see improvement. Many people give up before they succeed. Stop, be different. Don’t be one of the crowd. Learn to be a victor instead.

Become a champion! It isn’t always easy but it isn’t as hard as people ‘think’ it will be. It is simple to make changes. You plant seeds, nurture them and they grow. One day you reap the benefits. Be glad. Be eager, be excited. Practice gratitude along the way. Appreciate and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
