How You Really Make Changes: NO BS!

Do you want to know how to make lasting change? No BS just the cold, hard, bare-naked truth! Do want that? Can you handle the truth? We shall see. We shall see. Would you like your life to be positively different and better? Are you committed to making it?

Many people want thing but don’t commit doing what is necessary or committing to having them. The hope a lot. Mostly, they whine a lot. Is this you? How do you spend your time? How do you spend your thinking time and feeling time most of each day?

Does it work for you or against you? If it isn’t working for you, if it isn’t supporting you in being who you want to be and having what you want to have then it is not a good use of your time. If it isn’t supportive it is unsupportive. If it isn’t living and growing its dying.

You Create Your Own Destiny Even If You Don’t Take Control

DO YOU UNDERSTAND THIS? THIS IS CRITICAL TO GET! You need to absorb it. You need to embrace and embody these concepts. If you are not doing what you want YOU are not creating what you want. YOU are actively and passively KEEPING it all the SAME!

WHAT are YOU Doing? It is important to stop and take notice. WHAT on earth are you doing for YOU? Now is not the time to whine, blame, complain, or excuse. NOW is the time to decide to make the changes necessary to have what you want.

If you don’t you won’.t Plain and simple. Cold and hard. No BS. Either you do it or you don’t. If you don’t, don’t expect anything to change. If you change what you are currently doing, then you can change the results you are getting and begin to get results that you want.

The Future You Live Is The One You Make Or Don’t Make Happen 

THIS IS SO CRITICAL YOU HAVE TO READ IT AGAIN AND AGAIN

In my last point I used the condemned house analogy. People complain about the house. They find what is wrong. Then they spend the bulk of their time worrying about it, complaining about it, blaming whom or whatever for it. They make excuses.

Their story, their thoughts, their feelings and what they say is less than glorious. They are negative and downers preoccupied by the condemned house. All the see is what is wrong. Their predominant thoughts, most all of their time, is what they do not want. STOP!

In order to have a new house you must turn your attention to what you want the new house to be and then work to build it. Get it? The predominant thoughts one should have are how incredible the new house will be. They need to envision living in the new house. Feel it.

If You Do Nothing – Nothing Will Be The Future You Have

They need to plan to build it. Make a blueprint. Assemble whomever. Raise the money and the resources and build the house. No time should be wasted complaining about what was. All time should be spent making happen what will be. Do you get this?

Many people don’t. They read it. They hear it. Still, they focus on what they don’t want. WHY? Habit. That is what they learned to do and so that is what they continue to do. UNTIL WHEN? Forever! Unless they decide to change their habits and take charge.

If they don’t decide, if you don’t decide, you will continue to do what you have always done, chronically and habitually. You can hope and wish and pray for a change and nothing will change until you change it. YOU must initiate the changes. You must do it. HOW? You ask.

If You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

I have repeatedly shared how in these blog pages, in posts, in workshops, seminars, in interviews and discussions. You begin by making the decision that you will and you commit to it. Take baby steps. Do just enough daily to make a little bit of difference.

Eventually you will do more. Change may be gradual. Most likely it will be, but it can also be instantaneous. What it is and for whom shouldn’t matter. Simply commit to making yourself and your different. Read, study and apply. If you don’t do nothing will change.

You can read all about building houses. You can talk about it forever.  Unless, you take action and begin working a plan and begin building the house it will remain a possibility. You make it a reality. You gather your inner and outer resources and YOU make it happen.

Action Is The Proper Fruit Of Knowledge

You create and you attract. When your mind is set and you are absolutely determined, you let nothing stop you, you adjust and adapt until you get what you want or something better. It is not fate it is YOU shaping your own destiny. YOU make it happen! Get it?

If you don’t you are doomed to repeat the endless habitual cycle of wanting and not having until you change it. Until you take action and step up to the plate. Until you DO IT it is only an idea. Thoughts become things because we translate them from idea to the tangible.

How many times have you been asked this before? How often have you had a brilliant idea but did not act on it? Later, you discovered someone else had the same or similar idea but is now making money hand over fist because they put it into action. They made it reality.

To Know And Not To Do – Is To Not Know

Now their reality is rich while yours is whining that you thought about it too back then. I have done this numerous times. I have seen others take my work and spread it world wide making millions because my work works! I didn’t. They did. They got the money!

They got the fame and the credit for it. It sucks. It is water over the dam. No use complaining. I point it out to say we are all very similar. We all do or don’t do things. We are in the same boat in life. If these others can do it so can we. If I can so can you. If you can so can I.

Get it? Do you understand? If not yet, how soon do you suppose you will begin to decide to make a real difference for yourself? Are you going to make positive changes or sadly remain the same? It is all up to you. How soon will you decide to be different and take charge?

The More You Do The More You Can Do – Skill Comes Of Doing

I wonder. Maybe you should too!

More in the next post. In the meantime, if you do really get it, start now to make a real difference for yourself and your future. Read, study and APPLY. Application of your knowledge is the most critical piece. Without doing there is no new being or having. Understand?

Take charge. Determine what you want and go for it! You don’t have to know how yet, just decide what you want and that you will have it. You will find or create away eventually but this will be yours. There will be no stopping you. If it is good and positive for all, go for it!

Be thankful that you can. Appreciate where you are and where you have come from. Be grateful for the hard learning lessons and the easy times to. Feel positive about back then, now and your future. Take time to really feel it. Delight, give thanks and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Learn To Use This Master Key For Personal And Social Change

“Why do people want change? Probably obvious to state they don’t like something. There is a problem. They feel discomfort. Something is off and needs to be adjusted, eliminated or changed in some way by some means. Yes, frequently that is why we make changes.

When comfortable we enjoy. It is good so we don’t push for things to be different. We may enjoy learning or improving ourselves but we don’t feel as if we need to so we coast a bit. Then something comes along, usually an ouch, and we decide something must be different!

Here is what to do. Make a big list of what is wrong. List everything you can think of.  Whether it is everything about one problem or multiple problems. Take some time. Go on get it all out. Purge! Shine some light on those issues lurking about, too. Clean house. List all!

Think Positive And Positive Things Will Happen Focus Focus Focus

Next make a big list of what can be better. Clarify what you want for the future. What would be the ideal if the problem didn’t exist? How would life be better? What do you want instead? Take your time and be thorough. Use this example as a guideline. You have a house.

It is condemned. A lot is wrong with it. List all the repairs necessary but realize the whole house has to go. Now build a new house. The house of your dreams. What is that house like? Those problems areas how are they different in the new house? For example.

You might say, ‘The sink is tiny and leaks. The plumbing sucks. The fixture are old.’  Your new house would have a brand, new, beautiful sink that works perfectly. It is just the right size. The fixtures are gold (what ever your ideal is) and when you use it you feel great,

Negative Thinkers Focus On Problems 

Okay, get it? You have a list of what is wrong and unwanted that you want to exclude.  You have a list of what is right and desirable that you want to include or have more of. Okay, great. You have clarified the situation. Anything else you want to add, or change? Do it now.

Now take your list of positives and do whatever it takes to create and build what you want. Focus on creating and building rather than tearing down and getting rid off. If you tear the old problem house down you still need to build a new one or all you have is an empty lot.

So spend 98 or 99 percent focused on what you want to build and build it. Shift away from the problem to the desired solutions. Now, really do whatever you need to do, honestly and positively, to bring your desire into being. If you need to learns some things, learn them.

Positive Thinkers On Results

If you need some money find a legal way to raise it. Learn to do it or find someone who will help you. Do whatever it takes to make what you want happen. No excuses. No waffling. No whining. Just do it. Make your dreams come true. It is completely up to you!

Enlist others who want to help build. Find and attract positive like minded people who will work together for solutions. Fighting the old does not bring in the new. If you are working on a goal you agree on for yourselves or a social goal then together clarify and specify.

Together determine what you want to build. Work together in harmony. The purpose is to bring about what you want by working harmoniously together toward the same end. Keep the harmony. Preserve the relationship. Stay positive. Work together! Enjoy!

What You Think About You Bring About 

Work without ever giving up. Adjust as necessary but make it happen. Conversation may be a starting place to find like minded people but at some point like minded people need to do something. Over come inertia and the tendency to do nothing and move the ball forward. If you want it create it stop being a victim.

Start being a victor. If you want to apply it to the town, city, state or or  country you live in. Adopt the Gandhi method. Do what Gandhi did. He mobilized a few hundred million people with positive inspiration and motivation. Today it should be easier than ever.

We have social media and are more connected globally.  Or  it may also be somewhat difficult because the ‘controlling’ powers have wised up. However, anything is possible and achievable if you believe you can do it and work to make it happen without giving up.

Visualize Your Success Then Take Action – Action Is The Key

Correct, adjust and keep moving forward. Find a way. Create a way. That is what I suggest. I’ll leave it to others say why that won’t work. Then you’ll see the difficulty that needs to be overcome,inertia and ‘can’t do’ thinking. You’ll hear from the naysayer mindset.

No excuses. If we decide we want to do it, do it! Determine to build what we want. Resolve to not let anything stop us. Then we can prevail. Believe and take action. We can do it if we decide we will. You can do it when you decide. Talk is cheap action is everything. More in the next post. Make your dreams come true and celebrate everything! Rex Sikes

How To Manifest And Get It All From The Universe

“Do you want to live the good life? Do you want more money? Would you like more passion and romance? How about more family connection? How would you like the career of your dreams? Want more leisure time? Want to know how to attract good things?

If you want it you can have it. Thought leaders from the dawn of time have been explicitly and implicitly telling us how we can. There has been lots of misunderstanding, even attempts to obfuscate the methods. It is all here in the pages of my blog. I share with you how.

Within these pages, if you study these, you’ll learn to create and attract what you want. I recommend reading and re-reading my posts. Do more than that because reading is not enough. You MUST take action. If you don’t do what you are told you wont’ benefit.

If You Can See It In You Mind – You Can Hold It In Your Hand

Knowing is not enough. Reading one more blog or book won’t help.  I have been sharing a series of posts recently each with action steps. You create and attract by taking action. You don’t expect your bed to be made or your food to spontaneous appear do you? I bet you don’t.

You make your bed or your food. You make your dreams come true as well. You attract people to you by the kind of person you are. If you are nice, kind, appealing , friendly you attract others and/or are attracted to others for various reasons. This is important to get.

You don’t get anything for nothing. You must have some skin in the game. You transfer money to the grocer to purchase goods. There is a medium of exchange. You hand over cash, check or credit which is money or energy and take the groceries. Exchange. You exchange.

Take Charge Of Your Life – Make What You Want Happen

One form of energy for another is exchanged. I say energy because everything is energy, after all. If you don’t pay you don’t get. If you rob you pay in a different fashion with time, if you are caught. Or perhaps in other ‘karmic’ ways. Bottom line there is action exchange.

To manifest and attract you must follow the formula as laid out. Know what you want. Clarify and focus. Concentrate and become passionate about it. Desire it positively and strongly. Take action to get it and don’t give up. Put your energies into making it happen.

You affirm, visualize, act as if to organize your mental, emotional and physical, even spiritual resources, to align yourself so you are aimed at making it happen. You are congruent inside and out. You are of one accord. You are driven by purpose. You are a ‘go-getter’.

Energy Flows Where Your Attention Goes – Attitude Is Everything

YOU make it happen. It doesn’t happen for you by magic. You transform yourself into someone who gets their goals AS IF by magic. It can seem magical and to an extent it actually is. Still, you aren’t locked in a cave waving a wand and goods appear. Get it?

When you are congruently aligned and dedicated to making your purpose happen you vibrate differently. Your energies are alive and enthused. Because of this you also attract. You attract people and events and circumstances. People more than events. Here is why.

You become attuned to opportunities. Your RAS finds you positive opportunity because you have tuned it to look for these. You find circumstances and events you might have otherwise missed because your personal radar is sensitized to discover these. It seems magical.

Right Now – This Moment – How You Feel Is Creating Your Future

It is magical in that your entire being is seeking positive experiences. You raise your positivity energy, your attitude and outlook are positive and others of like mind and energy are attracted to you as moths are to a flame. You evolve yourself into an attracting energy.

You manifest by creating and attracting. You engage in both. Now the last step. YOU step aside. You get out of the way. You allow it to happen. You open up to receive it all. Many people screw up getting because they never finish pursuing. They keep pushing. Pushing!

You pay the grocer and then you receive the goods. You don’t force your money on the grocer. You give it. You put an order in at a restaurant and then you expectantly wait for your food to come. You don’t worry or micro-manage. You wait and allow them to bring it.

Who You Become Is The Person You Decide To Be – It Is Up To You

The attitude is one of expectancy. You attract and then you make room for it to happen. You do and then you allow the results. You work or play during the day and you sleep at night. You let go and rest. You eat and allow your body to process it. It will do it.

You aren’t giving up. You aren’t quitting. You are expecting. You know it is coming. You aren’t worried or fearful or anxious. You don’t fret. You are confident. You know and are certain and you allow it. Some people give and give and give and give. Have you noticed?

Some of them aren’t very good at allowing you to give to them. They are not good receivers. In order to get from the universe you make it happen and you let it happen. You are both a good giver and receiver. You allow the energies to exchange. It is a two way street.

Life Never Asked You To Struggle It Is Responding To Your  Mood

Some readers may be poor givers. They don’t start or go after their dreams. They wait and wish. Others may push and push but don’t relax into trusting and allowing it. You must do both. Attitude is everything. Trusting and being certain. Action and Rest. Both!

There are rhythms and cycles. Day into night. Tides come and go. Seasons change. We sow and reap at different times. Learning to go with the flow means you do or don’t do depending on what cycle you are in. You go with it. You trust it. You allow it. Because you made it.

You did the work now you reap the results. Trust. Attitude is everything! Allow. If you did the work allow the results. If you didn’t do the work then you need to do it to get the rewards. Once you have done it let it happen. You are not quitting you are adjusting.

We Receive What We Expect To Receive – Trust And Allow

Accept the results and if they aren’t to your liking adjust. Also, be open that the results may blow you away and be beyond anything you imagined. You can be delightfully surprised. Allow for it. Don’t be a tight ass about manifesting. Create some space for surprises.

Gratitude is marvelous. If you did nothing but were genuinely happy and thankful, feeling blessed about everything your life you’d amaze yourself. It would be magnificent. Even if it weren’t you wouldn’t care because you are too filled with bliss feeling glad about it. Right?

Gratitude Is The Open Doorway To Overflowing Abundance 

True, genuine, heart-felt appreciation for your challenges and struggles and for whatever you have and for whomever is in your life, difficult or easy, changes everything into potential, positive benefit. Your life would be exquisitely filled with all manner of good things. You’d be in heaven on earth. Try it on. Do it. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Do You Have The Winner’s Mind? It’s A Mind Of Certainty

“Being what we want; winners winning. Doing what we want; career of our choice or how we spend our leisure time. Having what we want; riches, home, family and friends; the results stem from the  thoughts and feelings and behaviors we initiate and commit to.

Because we start the process and follow through we reap the rewards. This IS how we sow and reap. We plant the thought seeds nurture them to fruition through positive emotions and actions. We tell positive stories in support and soon enough we harvest.

We powerfully use affirmations and Directed Questions™ to focus our mind on what we want to get our subconscious working on our behalf. We feel strong emotions and desire and imagine having it already in our possession. We live our future right now. We act!

You Can Pretend Anything And Master It

We imagine or visualize what we look like and act like, and what it looks like to have what we want to have, this instant. We ‘Act as If’ it is already ours. We think about it and are grateful for it being present before we actually receive it. We pretend to great effect.

By acting as if we have it with positive emotions and enthusiastic passion, feeling grateful that we got it, we signal our brain that YES this is what we want and will have. We act in a reality which has yet to manifest in present day reality. We rehearse for how it will be.

Then we work to make it happen. We stay open to attract who and what else we might need. We stay open to attract what we want or something even better. Always allow for something better beyond which you imagined to occur. Don’t limit yourself. Dream big.

What You See Is What You Get – What You Say Is What You Get

Napoleon Hill wrote, ‘Whatever the mind of man can conceive, and bring itself to believe, it can achieve.’ This is an important concept. If we can imagine it and then believe we will have it we can get it. We must believe it is not only possible for us but that we WILL have it.

We must believe we are worthy and deserving and entitled to get it. We must believe it is desirable and worth having in order to make it ours. Hill says that a burning desire, a white hot obsession, combined with faith is what makes it all work. Want and know you will have it.

From early ancient writings to present day, leaders in the science of the mind, the law of attraction or manifestation all say the same thing. We would do well to listen and follow their advice. Thought leader Ernest Holmes stated the following and it certainly applies.

We Believe It Has Happened Already – Thoughts Become Things

‘When we treat we do not wish, we know. We do not dream, we state. We do not hope, we accept. we do not pray, we announce. We do not expect something is going to happen, we believe that it has happened already.’ Holmes says, we believe it already has happened.

That IS the state of mind we want to get to. When we get there doors open up in ways we can’t imagine before hand. How do we develop this faith and this ‘knowing’? Hill says through repetition of suggestion, or affirming it with great emotion. Enthusiasm!

He suggests we clarify what we want and write it down. Keep it short and simple. Keep it where we can see it. Read it aloud before bed and first thing in the morning with tremendous energy and enthusiasm. Do it everyday until you firmly believe you will have it.

Repetition Is The Mother Of Skill And Of Habits

Through repetition we inform our non-conscious mind, our subconscious that this IS the case. We already are this; we already do this; we already have this. By constant exposure to the powerful emotions, words and images we give our mind we make it happen.

Our brain is a storehouse of experiences and resources. It is a hot bed of imagination and knowledge, beyond what we know we know. By turing it over to our subconscious through suggesting it to ourselves, Hill calls it autosuggestion, we enlist it’s aid.

Our subconscious is our servant. It is true it operates from habits it learned while we were young. Many which do not support our current desires. So we replace them with these new habits. Then it does those. We rehearse and repeat and finally it gets it. It learns.

Skill Comes Of Doing – The More We Do The More We Can Do

The subconscious or non-conscious aspects of us are really servants to our conscious mind. In going through this procedure we instruct the subconscious what we want. It reliably works to bring it to be. It would be good to learn to trust ourself and our intuitions.

Again, I’ll continue to share more on how this works. When you begin and follow through there will come a time when YOU WILL KNOW it is working. You will know from the inside out. It is an inner process and as things begin to gel, you feel it. It is truly amazing.

You develop that sense of knowing for certain it is happening. Just as you know when your birthday is coming. You know a particular day IS your birthday. That sense of certainty precedes getting what you want. Everything lines up. You feel congruent with it. You are it!

If You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

One of the best ways to practice acting as if is to express gratitude for what you want, before you have it, as if you already DO have it. Be thankful and excited you got it. Feel truly appreciative for it right now. Delight in it. Enjoy it. Gratitude is the attitude. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

This Is How You Start Winning And Become A Real Winner!

“How do you win at the game of life? Do you know? How do you win the money game? How do you begin to feel more like a winner and less like a loser? Are there secrets to making it different for yourself? Yes, there are methods to begin winning and to transform yourself.

This post continues the series. Be sure to read each in order beginning with ‘Do You Know The Critical First Step In Making Positive Permanent Changes’. Winning is an inside game. Our outer reality follows from our inner reality. What we think we become.

Our thoughts actually do determine our reality and the results we get. It works this way. Our thoughts precede our feelings and determine how we feel. How we feel depends on the thought we think. If we feel great it is because we think great positive thoughts.

Whether You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

If we feel poorly it is because our thoughts suck. They are negative or critical of ourselves, others or the world. Then how we feel from the first thoughts loops around and helps determine the next thoughts we think. If negative we get more negative. Bad to bad.

It spirals down or up depending on our thinking. Our feelings determine what we do. We either feel good or not so good. We either feel motivated or not. Loops again. Spirals more. Our feelings lead to our behaviors. Our behaviors lead to the results we get.

Most people don’t feel like winners because of this sequence. They run a negative less than glorious cycle. There is another aspect to all of this, I didn’t mention. It is the story we tell ourselves. This story is also part of our habitual conditioning whether positive or negative.

Our Thoughts Lead to Feelings Lead To Behaviors Lead To Results

People have a story they tell. That story is why they aren’t a winner. It’s historical in nature. It’s perceived history. They  cherry picked examples to support their hypothesis of why they are or aren’t a winner; lucky in love; able to get ahead; or whatever it is.

This story is chronic. They speak it to themselves and to others. It stems from the Reticular Activating System (RAS) finding matches for their beliefs. We have discussed this aspect many times in previous posts. The brain finds examples for what we believe,

It doesn’t matter whether it is positive or negative the brain finds matches. If we think we are a loser our brain will support us in making that so. It will find examples to provide us with more reasons why that is the case. It would do otherwise if we felt we are a winner.

We Become What We Think About Most Often

The brain works to prove the human right. The subconscious supports the conscious in this manner. Whatever we think our brain says, ‘yup, you’re right!’. So losers tell why they are loser stories and winners tell why they are winner stories. This is HOW it works.

If you want to end being or feeling like a loser you need to collect more wins. How do you do that if you don’t know how to win and historically you feel as though you always lose? Here is how. Return to baby steps from my most recent preceding post.

Take baby steps. Realize you are a learner and you learned to do most everything. You learned to feel and think this way. Since you did you can learn to think and feel a different way. You will recondition yourself to think and feel and behave more successfully.

Winners Aren’t People Who Never Fail But Ones Who Never Quit

Consider yourself a learner is part of the process I already covered. Now add this next step. Find things to consider wins. If you made your bed this morning you are a winner.  If you washed your dishes today you did something and won. Acknowledge and validate.

You took an action and followed through. Celebrate and appreciate. That is a win. That is an accomplishment. Each thing you did that you wanted or needed to do that you followed through on can be considered a win. Yes, this is a tiny piece. A baby step. A method.

It is a means and method to begin re-coding for your brain. You haven’t felt like a winner well now it is time you did. Start small and build up. Begin with intentions and follow through. Create a list of 3 to 5 things you will do today. Each day set your intentions.

To Be  A Winner You Must Plan, Prepare And Expect To Win

Then do them. They can be really small. Such as, today I intend to make my bed; clean my desk; drive safely to work or school; greet my associates with a smile; confidently order coffee from the barista. Then do these. At the end of day check off your list.

Consider each one you accomplished a win. Do the same or others the next day. Find things you intend to do and follow through. Celebrate each one you do. Appreciate yourself and pat yourself on the back. Gift yourself is a small, healthy, positive way. Hooray!

Each day decide to do something. Go to store. Buy bread. Cook Dinner. Wash plates. Make the bed and consider them wins. While this may not seem significant, at first, it is. You are recoding or reeducating yourself as to what winning means. Understand?

Education Isn’t Learning Facts But Training The Mind To Think

Your definition of winning and the stories you tell have prevented  you from feeling like a winner. We want to give you that feeling and numerous examples so you learn to feel like you can and do win. You need to feel that what you do matters and moves you forward.

Each day you, and I, engage in countless mindless tasks we had to learn to do. We do them so well,  unconsciously, we never consider them as significant or as wins or as positive. They are! Because you can do these you can learn to do anything you need to. You can!

You can learn to make your dreams come true. Get it?  Don’t let any excuse stop you. Find a way to move beyond what stops you. Begin with baby steps to help you reframe and redirect your thoughts. Affirm or ask Directed Questions™ for new ways of thinking.

Winners Never Make Excuses – They Make Results

When you think differently (positive) you will feel differently (positive) . As you feel differently (positive) you will take positive action steps and behave more positive. The results you start getting will be positive too. This is how you begin to change yourself.

This is how you begin to change your circumstances and evolve yourself into the person you want to be. You think you are a winner more frequently, you feel more like a winner, you behave more like a winner and begin to get winner results so you tell a new story.

Your story leads to more thinking, feeling and behaving and getting results which adds to your story. Soon you think, feel and act like a winner because you already are. You have reconditioned yourself to be a winner and to follow through on what you say you will do.

Believe In Your Ability To Succeed And The More Likely You Will

What began as baby steps gradually gets a bit larger. Never bite off more than you can chew. Keep it simple and easy and gradually challenge yourself. Keep the winner feeling. The more you think and feel like a winner the more you will actually begin to win.

Birds of a feather flock together. You attract other winners to you because you are one of them. Your attitude determines you altitude! How you approach tasks and opportunity can change for the positive because you have. Your RAS looks for positive matches.

It looks for opportunities. You become more aware of them so you can take advantage of them. You trained and conditioned yourself for success. YOU did it so you can pat yourself on the back. It wasn’t luck. No on else could do it for you. You had to so count it as a win!

Success Belongs To Those Who Dare To Achieve It – Begin Today

Mental success conditioning works as long as you apply yourself and continue the process. It isn’t a magic bullet. It is a sound, scientific, systematic approach to being, doing and having what you want in life. It is a method for a healthy attitude and outlook like exercise.

Just as exercise and proper nutrition requires follow through and dedication mental conditioning does too.  Start small, gradually increase. Go slow and be patient. Set intentions and keep them. Acknowledge and celebrate when you do. Repeat daily. Feel grateful and express gratitude. You can do this! Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

How To Finally Stop Being A Loser And Become A Winner

“Some people feel they are losers. They don’t seem to win at anything. They are stuck in a job they don’t like. They haven’t won the money game; there is too little money at the end of the month. They haven’t won in romance, or in much of anything.

They feel stuck. The look at others enviously. They don’t think it is possible for them to make changes and have what they want. They believe others can do it but they can’t. The future is bleak. They just can’t seem to get ahead or even begin to imagine it getting better.

If this is you I have some good news for you.  I have some good news and some not as good news for you. The good news is you can absolutely change it. You can play and you can begin to win. You can free yourself from old conditioning and begin to live your dreams.

Everything In Life Teaches A Lesson You – Be Willing To Learn

The not so good news is this area you want to work on may take a little time. You can absolutely break through! You must be patient and stay committed. You don’t want to fall back into the old bad habits. If you commit you will win! Stay patient and you’ll win!

How do you make the changes? You begin right now, from where you are. You begin by taking baby steps. If the problem is you don’t feel or experience being a winner, or worse, you consider yourself an unlucky person or loser, then baby steps is what is needed.

Begin by taking note of the things you have successfully accomplished. ‘Wait’, you scream. ‘I haven’t and that is the difficulty!’ You have. You have learned and accomplished many things. The problem isn’t that you haven’t. The problem is you think you haven’t.

Perception Is Everything – We See Only What We Believe

Some people THINK they have never successfully accomplished anything. This is perception and a belief issue. Consider this: If you walk then you learned to and accomplished it. If you talk then you learned too and accomplished it. You feed yourself? You bathe?

You read and write? You work in a job? You cash checks? You spend money? Whatever you do you have learned to. Again, you cry, ‘Wait!’ I say ‘STOP’ right there! Remember, I said baby steps.’ If you don’t appreciate this about yourself it is time to start. This is critical!

Yes, you also learned to be lazy, afraid, angry and sad too. You have learned certain mindsets that support you and one’s that don’t support you. It is time to re-condition yourself and learn more of the mindsets that support you. This is one of them. Again, this IS critical!

It Is There You Just Haven’t Noticed It – Perception Is Everything

You have learned many useful things. You have learned some other things too. Everything can be useful depending on the context. In some contexts it won’t be. You have learned so much but you don’t validate it. It goes unrecognized by you. It is time to change this.

You’ve learned to argue and to make up. You’ve learned to listen to others and watch tv. You’ve learned to discount your successes. You’ve learned to think it is possible for others but not for yourself. You’ve learned to feel a victim of your thoughts and feelings.

Back up and take inventory of everything you have learned, because, truthfully, most of the things you think, feel, say and do in life you have learned. Very little is hard wired in by comparison. You need to review and validate those things you have learned to do.

Any Limitation Can Be A Blessing And A Skill You Determine If It Is

You and I, and all people, are learning machines. We’ve learned bad habits and supportive ones. It is time to begin to acknowledge this. Become aware of what you can do and accept it. Begin counting the tiniest things you do as wins. Take baby steps they pay off long term!

The baby steps you took as an infant lead to you walking as much as you have. Those early attempts and failures are what allows you to travel by foot today. Had you given up you might never have learned to be mobile. You learned by doing, not by reading how. You did it.

You did it all by trial and error. Because you persisted you developed the skill. You made it a habit so you don’t even ever have to think about it, as long as everything functions normally. If you can’t or never learned to walk there are other abilities you did learn.

Everything Is An Opportunity If You See It As Such – Believe

Take these baby steps. Re-frame, review, reflect on everything you do, supportive and unsupportive as a learned skill. They truly are! Recognize this fact and realize you learned to do everything you do. If you could learn these you can still learn anything. Apply yourself!

If you determine to do this and you do it CONGRATULATE yourself! Feel good about doing something for yourself. Act in your own best interests for you. Appreciate yourself. Feel good. Take inventory and feel great about it. You have succeeded in learning a great deal.

Our next baby steps will come next post. Meanwhile, celebrate yourself. Think about what you have accomplished in life and realize it is a great deal. Don’t compare yourself to others leave that alone for now. Just look at what YOU HAVE learned and accomplished.

Perception Is Everything – We Get What We Focus On

STOP, don’t look at things that didn’t work out. Look at things that did. Learn to have good taste. Learn to manage your thinking. Learn to develop concentration and focus. Learn to fixate your mind on the positive. You already spent enough time wallowing in the negative.

HEY YOU! You learned to wallow in the negative too! Get it? You have learned to be stuck. You have learned to feel certain less than glorious ways. You CAN absolutely change this! You CAN have the life of your dreams. You CAN learn to!  You can if you will! Do it!

The way you get back on track is once you become aware you are traveling in the wrong direction, that you have gotten off course, you STOP. You stop traveling in the wrong direction! Then begin to head in the correct direction. You turn, navigate, and get back on course.

We Become What We Think About Most – Believing Is Seeing

You must stop the old negative habits and start doing the new. You must repeat the new thoughts and behaviors enough until they become the new reliable, automatic habits. You develop new thought, feeling, speaking and behavior habits that support you.

This entire blog site is dedicated to this, My goal is to assist people to make the breakthroughs they want  in life. That means you, too! If you want it better it can and will be. Apply yourself. Take baby steps and you will inch at first, then crawl, then walk into success.

Become aware! Recognize and turn. Change direction. Recognize and validate your learning. Realize you did and can learn anything. Accept it. Decide now to learn supportive habits and commit to the process. Affirm it. Daily, affirm and apply yourself. Be patient. Do it.

Change May Not Always Be Easy – But It Is Always Possible

Soon you will notice the shifts occurring. You will notice the changes happening. Some tiny, some huge. The old habits will resist at first too. At times it will seem a struggle, get easy, then struggle again. Eventually, you will develop the new habit. It will have been worth it!

So accept, affirm and apply. Apply the new learning to yourself. The sequence is become aware of that you are a learning machine. Accept this about yourself. Validate it. Affirm it. Think: ‘I can learn to do anything I put my mind too’.  Apply yourself to changing,

Appreciate everything about your past and now. You have learned and you will learn. Appreciate the ease and the struggles. All of it helps you evolve to a higher, more positive productive level. You become comfortable being your higher self. All of you is perfect!

Focus Your Energy On Building The New Not Fighting The Old

Enjoy, delight. Have fun. Stay determined. Never quit. Challenges will come and go. Realize this. In your toughest challenge become aware and accept it. Affirm and apply yourself through it. Appreciate yourself and your challenge while encountering it and beyond. You will truly evolve beyond your wildest dreams when you celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

If Your Want To Succeed And Be Happy You Must Learn How To Direct Your Mind

“If you haven’t yet mastered the art of affirmations this post is important for you to read. Some people can’t make them work because they just can’t seem to find an affirmation they are willing to believe and use. Remember, finding the sweet spot is critical.

To get good or great results with affirmations you need to emotionalize them and believe them. Remember, you want to make declarative statements you believe are possible and that you can and will make happen. If you feel bad or don’t believe it takes longer.

The sweet spot is affirming some goal or desired outcome that is big enough to provide a stretch but not so big you don’t believe it possible. You can always work up to the big, big, one, one step at the time. Anything is possible if you believe it is. It all works. it does!

If You Think You Can Or You Think Your Can’t You Are Right

You just have to know how to make it work and work it. Some people never figure it out and give up. Your big goal is at the top of the ladder. You don’t believe it is possible currently. So you make minor goals, like rungs on a ladder, that help you get there step by step.

If you still can’t figure that out the there are alternatives.  MyDirected Questions™ is powerful and fabulous whether or not you use affirmations. Questions direct what the brain pays attention to. You use wonder, curiosity of fascination to affirm what you want.

You begin to wonder how soon, at some point, you will find yourself delighted, to make 100 million dollars, and how incredible it will feel to make awesome discoveries along the way. You inch your way to it by getting really curious. You ask open ended questions.

Whatever You Can Conceive And Believe You Can Achieve

You don’t draw a line in the sand and say ‘I am this’ instead you consider how quickly and easily you can begin to find yourself delighting in doing those things that get you closer to making 100 million. You ask how soon you can find yourself feeling this?

‘How incredible can I feel as I begin the process of finding new ways to bring more money into my life.’ You don’t know the answer to that. You didn’t ask ‘will you’ or ‘won’t you’ or affirm you are or aren’t. You asked how good can you feel as something occurs.

You don’t know the answer to that question. Your brain has to look for an answer or multiple answers. It won’t stop with one answer, because it works by finding many. That is just what it does. So in using Directed Questions™ you work with how the brain works.

Imagine With You Mind – Believe With Your Heart …

You don’t ask, ‘will I make’ or ‘can I make’ 100 million dollars (although you could answer yes to this) you ask, ‘how delighted will I be to discover myself on the path to making 100 million dollars?’ or ‘what are the first steps I will amaze myself in doing that help me…’

You entertain the idea while asking questions around the idea. You don’t go at it directly but you direct your mind to look for answers and solutions and open yourself up to them along the way. You utilize what is called ‘Transderivational Search’. Search – get it?

TS means your brain continues to look for and find answers even after you stop asking. It seeks outside your awareness. Just as your Reticular Activating System (RAS) finds matches and associations for examples or memories you elicit your brain seeks answers.

… Achieve With Your Might – You Can Do Make It Happen

If you ask, what is the capitol of Arizona? Your brain doesn’t need to progress further than the answer. If you ask, ‘in how many different ways can I feel delighted while working on making 100 million’? your brain doesn’t know so it doesn’t know to stop. It keeps looking.

That is what you want it to do. Generate as many positive ways you can feel delighted while going after your goal. The result you want is two fold; the positive feelings and the numerous possibilities you generate. Now your brain works for you and there is no resistance.

You haven’t drawn a line in the sand. You have asked an engaging question that entertains and hooks the brain or mind to search for you. If you ask ‘why am I so stupid’ you will get numerous examples. If you ask ‘why am I so brilliant’ you will get numerous examples.

The Wise Person Doesn’t Give The Right Answers …

We already are using questions to direct our mind but most people don’t have the good taste to ask ones that make them feel better and accomplish more things easily. We have been conditioned to ask ‘what is wrong’ or ‘why I am I such a putz’ type questions.

At first, you may find it easier to get back one type of answer than the other, or you may find you get a negative answer more quickly, because you have asked these kind of questions from habit. Those neural pathways are well traveled. Well, they are, aren’t they?

Ask better, different positive ones and it may seem a little sluggish. The reason for this is your habits have been negative. It will still work in powerful and incredible ways but you need to develop the habit of asking powerful, positive, directed questions. Get it?

... The Wise Person Asks The Right Questions – Direct Your Mind

‘I don’t know how soon it will be before I make 100 million dollars but how much fun can I discover exploring the many different positive opportunities all along the way that help me to feel excited and filled with joy? How quickly and easily can I feel wonderful?’

Get it. Don’t be stuck. Start moving forward easily and effortlessly. ‘How delighted will I be to discover the many different ways I will make my dream come true all along the way? How much fun and enthusiasm can I feel each day as I consider this?

‘How much delight and enthusiasm can I begin to more fully feel as I take actions steps toward getting what I want? Even though I am not sure how to do it how quickly in how many different wonderful ways could I begin to find myself feeling amazed and delighted?’

Knowledge Is Having An Answer …

‘In how many different ways can I discover myself asking questions and making positive changes that bring me more of what I want? Remember, direct your mind to get what it is you want while describing how you want to get there is the key. Have fun!

Edison didn’t know how to make a working light bulb until after he made a working light bulb. The Wright brothers didn’t know how to fly an airplane until they flew one. Once they did it they knew how to do it and repeat it. Until they they were experimenting.

You will be experimenting too until you get your goal. Once you claim it you will be able to look back and see how you did it. SO stay open. Be available to everything. Stay positive and never lose faith and never give up. Keep pursuing and maintaining a positive frame.

… Intelligence Is Asking The Right Questions – Direct Your Mind

Keep your mind positive and aimed at making it happen and you can accomplish great things. AS you move forward you will become aware of other things you can think and do. You will adjust and adapt along the way. Just as a baby begins with baby steps, so can you.

Believe you can! If you don’t, yet, that may be the first area you want to work on. Get it? Of course you do and if not yet, you will. Direct your mind in positive ways. No one will do it for you. You have to do it if you want to enjoy the results. So do it. Have fun. Be grateful!

Feel positive and enthused. Feel wonder, enjoyment and curiosity as you ask your questions. Become like little child. Get really curious! Become fascinated. Explore and you will discover how easy it is. As you do enjoy, delight and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

First Awareness, Then Acceptance Now Affirm It!

What is the best way to begin to make changes? Simple. Decide to. Decide that you are beginning the PROCESS of changing your life for the better. Recognize or realize or accept that it is a process you initiate. To be in a process, is not unlike being in or on the river.

Wherever you find yourself on the river that is where you are. That is, from, where you begin. A process means ongoing as a river is. Go with the flow. Put your boat in. Let it take you to where you want to go. Paddle in the same direction. Don’t fight it. Go with it! Allow!

Don’t resist. Don’t try to go upstream. Let go and go with the current. You decided you want to make a change or begin making changes. Accept that you are beginning the process. Enjoy it. Don’t try to do to much or figure out the ‘hows’ yet. Just begin.

What You See Is What You Get

A great way to begin is to read some positive or inspirational material each day. Morning is a great time of day. When you start your day begin with a positive, inspired, optimistic, motivated mindset. Read Napoleon Hill, Wallace Wattles, or others.

Read for as long or as much as you can. Try for a half hour; too much, cut it down. Make a point to read even if it is only a page a day. Do it every day. Just as you eat each day to feed your body read to feed your mind. Think about what you read. Reflect on it. Practice it!

Study success. Study happiness. Learn from others. Find positive mentors and role models. Be wise about choosing mentors. I’ll share more in another post. Learn from those who do and have and are what you want to beWHO BEGAN as you did. Study their approach.

What You Say Is What You Get

Begin reading. Remember, our first step. Clarify what you want. I assume you already have done this or you are in the process. This is the 3rd post in a series. If you haven’t read the previous two please go back and read those first. Then return here. Clarify your purpose.

Know what you want. Specify it. Keep it in mind. Read and fill your mind with positive thoughts about your goal. Feel good about it. Think about it often during the day and affirm, ‘I can begin now to change my life.’ ‘I am in the process of making my dreams come true’.

You can substitute your actual dream for ‘my dreams’. ‘I am in the process of creating more happiness in my life’. ‘I am beginning the process of taking control of my money and becoming financially free.’ ‘I am learning to be smart about managing my money’.

What You Feel Is What You Get

‘I am in the process of learning to communicate better so I can connect with people and enjoy more lasting friendships’. ‘I am beginning to attract the right person into my life’. ‘I am deciding to be more open and tolerant of other people’s views.’ Whatever it is.

‘Even if I don’t know how I can begin to take tiny baby steps that move me forward to what I want’. Get it? You declare it. You make statements about how you are beginning the process of making the changes you want. Affirming is a great way to begin.

Up your energy and vibrational levels and affirm with enthusiasm. Why affirmations don’t work for some people is primarily two fold. One reason is they recite meaningless phrases with no emotional power behind them. The words aren’t what your brain responds to.

What You Think About You Become

Rote repetition doesn’t impact our brains or our being. We must emotionalize it.  We must use enjoyment, enthusiasm and power. Chant and declare what you affirm. Do it  loud, clear, with fun, energy and optimism! Think military boot camp. They chant a lot.

In armed services boot camps they chant as if their life depended on it because it does. They chant to wire in important concepts and habits. They do it for different purposes than we do; it works just the same. Our purposes are not so much survival based but could be.

Chant your affirmations. Shout them out with joy, Have fun and delight in doing them and mean it. Commit to these. Make them short, to the point, positive and energized. This makes the process work faster. Your brain learns from exaggerated examples!

What You Focus On Expands

Don’t be subtle. Your brain doesn’t learn by subtle. Be subtle only when surrounded by others at home or work and when you don’t want to draw attention to yourself. Otherwise GO FOR IT! Declare them and mean it. Believe it! Know it. Convince yourself completely!

By doing this you create new neural pathways and new positive habits. Enjoy the process! The other primary reason is people don’t believe them. They make too large a statement and then resist it. The declare ‘I can make 100 million this year’. It is too big a leap.

Certainly, it could be possible. BUT it is not that likely they will make that kind of money if they never have. Could they, yes. Is it possible, yes! Is it plausible or likely? Not so much. IT COULD happen, but usually a goal too big makes people doubt they will be successful.

What You Think About You Bring About

If you have never made big money before start with smaller sums. Make them big enough to stretch you but not so big as to seem impossible. Your goal should stretch and challenge you and maybe make you a little afraid but not too much. I will explain. Stretch!

You want to choose something that takes you out of your comfort zone. Something you do have to work at. Something that would exhilarate you when you make it happen. BUT, not something you don’t believe you could do and will do. You need to believe you can.

You want to eventually feel certain, not only you can, but that you will. When you choose something you feel certain you can make happen; and believe that you will; and you absolutely want to have it; then you have found your sweet spot. Then it IS likely you will.

If You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

Get it? You want to believe YOU WILL do it. This will be reinforced by your affirmations, too. You will come to believe it more if you don’t at first. Still, choose something you CAN believe. Those people who don’t, since they don’t truly believe they can, usually give up.

It isn’t that the process doesn’t work. It is that they didn’t choose wisely. Start smaller. Get some wins. Prove to yourself you can do it. Prove you can make it happen and gather wins Then increase the size of your wants and make those happen too. Experience matters!

For those people, since it is outside the sweet spot, they don’t feel good when they think about their goals and affirm them. Instead they doubt or feel concerned. They hope it will happen. They don’t feel they will absolutely make it happen. The mindset is different!

Believing Is Seeing – Perception Is Everything

It isn’t a winner, ‘I CAN DO ANYTHING’ mindset. It is a ‘gee I hope I do this right and get what I want some day, but it probably won’t work and then I’ll be worse off than before’ mindset. Do you understand? Those people are defeated before they begin.

They abandon the affirmations because it doesn’t feel right or good when they affirm. The give up and then state, ‘I tried affirmations and they don’t work.’ You are beginning a process. Accept you are a beginner. Take baby steps. Fill your mind with positive thoughts.

Implement these practices. Use positive affirmations powerfully. This, is and area  where my Directed Questions™ is absolutely beneficial to use. I will share more about this later. For now, read, affirm and imagine already having what you want in the future.

Live The Future You Want Right Now As If It Is Already Yours

Affirm, declare, command and own. Own your future. YOU make it happen. You create and you attract. Enjoy learning to do this. Enjoy the process. Be grateful and express your gratitude freely. Make a list daily. Feel appreciation for everything! That makes you feel better all around. Plus, you’ll feel more positive. Enjoy everything and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Feel thrilled. Feel Delighted. Feel enthusiastic. Feel Fully Alive!

Once I Become Aware Now What Do I Do?

“Awareness is the first step in transformation. Acceptance is the second. That means you accept right where you are. You drop, let go or turn your back on self criticism and judgement. You accept or allow yourself to be precisely who you are right now. Accept you!

This is 2nd in a series of posts. Be sure to read previous post if you haven’t. Then continue with this one. Feel free to dip and dive into all the other posts. By reading and rereading you will gain great value. Experience revisited is how we learn and develop skill. Enjoy!

‘Okay, I am not where I want to be.’ Yet, that IS what is. No use crying over spilt milk. Accept it and move on. Accept that you may not be perfect, that you aren’t further ahead yet, that you have character flaws and that you might not, yet, know how to change. Accept it.

Be Yourself – Accept Yourself – Love Yourself – Be Grateful 

Whatever it is accept. Love yourself in spite of it. Better yet, love yourself because of it. You are you. You can’t be further ahead of you than you are. So stop judgements and assessing and relax into yourself. Embrace yourself as you are. Congratulate yourself!

Congratulate yourself for being you. Congratulate yourself for what you noticed. Pat yourself on the back. You don’t know what you don’t know. You are who you are up to this point. Be grateful you are able to recognize this about yourself right now. Celebrate you!

Change becomes easier when you don’t resist or fight anything. You may still want to move ahead and end up in another place but appreciate where you are right now. Really, truly, be grateful. If you will, you will open up incredible doorways to greater opportunity.

Accept Your Past Without Regrets – Learn From It – Accept It

Don’t fight yourself. Don’t blame or excuse. Don’t whine or complain. You are who you are, you have done what you have done and now you are here in this moment, aware and willing to make changes. Accept, allow, let go and delight in all of it. Truly celebrate you!

As for making the changes you want to make, accept that you can do it. Accept that you may want or need some help along the way. Accept that not everything happens according to your time line. Accept challenges and obstacles as life’s learning lessons. Learn!

If you felt or feel stuck, accept it. You may be stuck and don’t yet know what to do. That is okay. Don’t push it. You don’t have to know what to do right now. You don’t need to know how you will change. Later, you will know all that.  For now, simply enjoy being aware.

Accept Where You Are Here And Now You Can’t Be Anywhere Else

Realize that each of us becomes aware, or wakes up, or sees a potentially different life for ourselves in our own time. Whenever or wherever that is IS when it is. Accept the timing of the universe instead of fighting with it. Do you understand this? You will in time.

Accept that you awaken when you awaken. Accept and utilize everything. Don’t be dismissive or wallow. Get it? When you become aware that you want to move forward differently, and you accept where you are at, YOU CAN BEGIN to move forward; From here!

You don’t blame and excuse yourself, which further causes you to remain stuck. You let go and become open to new possibilities. Okay, you think, ‘but I still don’t know what to do’. Well, you begin from where you are. Your first steps are from here and now.

Accept The Universe’s Time Frame – Everything Has A Season

You can’t begin from elsewhere. You can’t be other than who you are right now.  So you begin from here and now. Take a deep breath. Decide to begin to live differently. Commit to living more positively. Determine to be more optimistic and enjoy life more. Choose!

You will find great power comes from making an important decision. Decide what you want and then commit to making it happen. HOW you make it happen will become clear as you move along. First things first. Become aware. Accept. Decide what you want and commit.

Know where you want to end up then you can plan your route. Determine to make happen what you want to make happen and never give up. Travel as far as you can see and when you get to that place you will be able to see farther. Get it? First things first,

Some People Are Ready To Change – Some People Aren’t – Decide

How is not the question to ask now. You will discover how. WHY? Is a much more important question. List out all the reasons you want what you want. Notice what you want and what you don’t want. Re-state it in the positive. Think ‘This is WHY I will make this happen’.

Create as big list of positive ‘whys’ as you can.  Know WHY you want what you want. What will having that do for you? How will your life improve when you have this? See it, hear it, feel it, smell it , taster it. If your why’s are big enough there is no question you will go after it.

If you are wishy washy about your why’s you probably won’t get very far. Know what you want and why! If you absolutely must have it then commit to making it happen. Do whatever honest, legitimate, positive things you need to do to bring it about. Make it happen!

Accept that you are able to do this. Accept that anything you might need you can find, make or learn to do. Accept your decision and enjoy it. You want life to be better now go ahead and make it better. Feel good about your decision to improve yourself. Feel glad.

Your Life Is 100% Your Responsibility – Do You Understand This

Ultimately, you will make a plan for getting what you want. But that is not the first step. Many people never go after their goals because they make a big mistake. They  think  they need to know how first. You don’t BUT YOU DO need know what you want and why you do.

You are at the beginning. Be delighted! You became aware enough to initiate some changes. Delight in yourself. Delight in your new awareness.  Delight in your decision. Enjoy the process of getting your goals. AND celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Do You Know The Critical First Step In Making Positive Permanent Changes?

“Would you like to be happier? Do you want better heath? Want to perform better in your career, sports, life and relationships? How do you transform you for the better? How do you get started making personal changes? If you are curious we’ll explore in a short series.

Awareness is the first step. At some point on some day for whatever reason you notice something isn’t as wonderful as you hope it would be. You notice a glitch or a disaster. You see someone else being doing or having something you want and you think, ‘that’s for me’.

Somehow at sometime, somewhere you become aware that what you are doing isn’t working. You become aware that something you are doing could be done better. You become aware of lack, of negativity, of the downside or of missing out on the upside.

The Best Way To Predict The Future Is To Create It

You become aware you need to change. You become aware that it might be possible to make changes. You can or could change so you can have more of what you desire. Without this AS a possibility you wouldn’t move forward. Awareness starts it all off. It is the trigger.

Often, you first become aware of what you don’t want before you become aware of what you want. It is as if you outgrow a pair of shoes and feel the pain. You think, ‘I need some new shoes’. Then you begin to decide what kind of new shoes you need or want.

The choice of what you WANT is up to you. You recognize there is a gulf between what you don’t want and what you do want. You realize you need something to be different. You imagine a better you or a better life. You dream of it. You begin to wonder and explore how.

Your Thoughts Create Your Future 

You don’t know yet how it might be possible. You don’t know what to do, for certain, to make it better. You may have an idea or you may be lost trying to figure out what to do next.It can be confusing. So stop. Look at all you don’t want and ask yourself, What do I want instead?’

People get stuck for many reasons. One of the first is when they become aware that life isn’t what they wanted and they get depressed and upset. They get frustrated and angry. They sit there. They stay rooted. They wallow and whine. They complain and blame.

Obviously, this isn’t good though It is normal. It is human. It is actually IS great to get angry. It is good to be SO angry YOU definitely DECIDE to make things different. You get angry enough to think and behave in new ways different.

You Become What You Think About – You Get What You Focus On

It is not so good to wallow and whine. However, anger can be and is a useful starting place because it can cause you to turn your back on the negative. You decided to  drop what is and move toward the positive desires you have. It is the impetus for making changes.

It is critical you turn from the negative and move into the positive. You need to change your focus from what you do not want and begin to entirely focus on what you DO want. You have to build, create or attract what you want and let go of what you don’t want.

Leave or let go of what you don’t want, completely! Use it only to clarify what you want. Get precision and focus on your positive goal. Unfortunately, too many people get stuck in creating more of what they don’t want because they don’t turn towards the positive.

Your Habits Determine Your Present

You must focus on what you want. The anger, and negativity, and knowing what you don’t want is absolutely valuable to help you specify what you do want. You must get clear about what you want and where you want to head. Then you must head there.

You can’t drive forward safely with all your attention in the rearview mirror. When you go on a vacation you need to know your destination.  BUT some exclaim, ‘what if I just want to wander around taking in everything?’ That is the problem with most people.

They wander, they don’t know what they want or where they want to end up. They drift aimlessly. They aren’t focused. They don’t have a plan. They don’t have a road map to get from points A to Z. You need to know where you are going in order to get there.

If You Want A New Better Future – Create New Better Habits

If they would set their site of the end goal they will know when they get there. This is an important point not to miss! Know what you want. Focus on it so you can create it. Build what you want rather than fighting the old.  Once it is built party. Celebrate along the way.

In the next blog posts I’ll share some move. Meanwhile explore. Determine hat do you truly want. Clarify it. Be specific. Visualize it. See it, hear it, feel it, smell it, taste it. Make it as real as you can for yourself. Be glad you are being concise.
