Do This When Things Don’t Go Your Way

“Hey, it happens. People let you down. They don’t show up. They may break their promises. Events are cancelled. Less than glorious circumstances occur. People may lie, cheat or steal. What to do it? Most people get angry, frustrated, sad or want revenge. Do you?

It is natural. Especially depending on how and where you were raised. Bad things happen and we get disappointed and mad. We get consumed with negative thoughts. We think how it is unfair, shouldn’t happened or could have been otherwise. We obsess.

If you find yourself doing any of these it is natural. It is reacting from prior past conditioning. It is automatic and habitual. This is what you have done before so you do it again. The circumstances or people may change but the reaction is pretty much the same. Same ole stuff.

You Are Right Now Where Your Thoughts Have Brought You

However, you don’t have to do this again. You can change it. You can decide to be different and choose to respond instead of react. You can be in charge instead of a victim. You CAN change everything in an instant by changing what you choose to think and focus on.

Instantly! You can change the meaning of any event by changing what you think about. That said, learning to choose to think differently may take a little time but if you never start doing it a new way you will always be stuck doing it the old way. Get it? Change it!

It requires awareness. You must become aware you are going down the old pathway and must will yourself to think and feel and act differently. If you think this suck you must change it you something else. If you don’t you will just feel the same old way you always have.

You Will Be Tomorrow Where Your Present Thoughts Take You

You can realize that you don’t know everything and that while things didn’t pan out how you had hoped perhaps there is a lesson or some other good to come of it. Someone lets you down. You can be angry and blame or you can choose to examine why it matters so much.

You can explore how you might feel different. You might look for whatever other good could possibly come from this. After all you determine whether it is a problem or not. If you choose to look at it as a blessing instead then it isn’t a problem. It is your choice.

BUT you exclaim, it doesn’t seem like a choice. It seems like hard work. YUP it is whatever you declare it to be. You will always live from your filters, what you think and tell yourself and what you believe things to be. To change you must change these things.

Learn To Manage Your Thoughts Because You Can’t Escape Them

So yes, it takes some work. Just a getting physically fit takes some work. It is up to you. Stay the same or become new. Your choices, your decisions determine exactly what you get from life’s influences. You either fight it or go with the flow. You either feel bad or good.

Every moment it is your choice. The key to transformation is laying the ground work. Doing what may be difficult long enough until it becomes easy. If you want something  you will find a way to do it. If not you will find excuses and stay the same. What will you do now?

Begin to consider what positive steps you can take to think and feel differently? How might this be beneficial? How good will you feel when you discover the hidden blessing? Where else might you positively put your attention to begin to feel better? Ask yourself!

What We Want To Do With Ease We Must First Do With Diligence

Direct your mind, feelings, words and behaviors. STOP immediately and reframe it. Tell yourself a different story. Manage your self-talk and negative imagining. Stop feeling the victim and choose to be the victor. Look for the positive, the good and emphasize these now!

It is completely up to you. Choose to be different. Choose to think and feel differently. Set the intention. Make the decision. That is the beginning of your transformation. It won’t ever happen unless you do it. Focus on the good. Stop making it a problem. Look for what there is to be grateful for instead. Take positive steps to think and feel better. Consider it a blessing. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

All Big Ideas Are Met With Opposition!

“All big ideas are met with opposition. When Henry Ford first attempted to sell the automobile people protested stating they didn’t need one since they owned a horse. Edison had difficulty selling the public on electric lighting. Go figure, right? Yup.

Big ideas are opposed. Einstein said, ‘great spirits must do violent contention with mediocre minds’. True dat! Right. We have all been opposed by others. Tell your family you want to be a poet, singer or actor. Probably, you were told you’d fail. But it gets worse. Yup.

Much worse. How much more worse? Much, much! Your own big ideas, your dreams, goals, plans and intentions are met with doubt, fear, anxiety and limiting beliefs. You think, it will never happen. I don’t deserve it. Okay for others but not for me. Get it? Right.

You Go Where Your Thoughts Take You

People are great spirits and their conditioned mind is mediocre. Attempt to make a change and your mind resists and puts you in your place. Many people want to do things but don’t feel like actually doing. They procrastinate, excuse or blame. Resistance from within.

In order to move forward you need to re-condition your mind. Your mind doesn’t care which program it runs. It only runs the one it knows. You need to replace that old conditioning with an updated message that states I CAN instead of I can’t. Change your mind.

Replace the old with the new. Condition yourself for success. Stop resisting and begin cooperating with your self. Set yourself on the path and move forward without the battle, the fear,  the hesitation and worry. Time for faith instead of doubt. You can! Yup. YUP!

If You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

You may need to learn how. If what you have been doing isn’t working and hasn’t worked then continuing to take that same approach isn’t serving but preventing you. You need to begin to do things and take actions and develop the mindset that works.

Stop failing and start succeeding. Stop fighting with yourself and start living the life you deserve. You can when you know you can. When you believe you can and take right action. When you live intuitively and from your higher self. You can accomplish anything. So start changing. Be happy. Be grateful. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

People Who Can’t Do This Lose Big Time!

“Life is simple. If you are happy, keep going. If you aren’t happy, change something. If you want your life to change you must change some things in your life. You can’t keep doing the same thing over and over and expect to get different results.

You must do things differently. If you don’t know how, learn how. Learn to change your thoughts. When you do your feelings and perceptions change. Learn to change your feelings and your thought and perceptions change. Take action. Do something. different.

Meditate, sing, dance, run, skip, play with a child or a pet. Help someone else. When you help another you are helping yourself too. Read inspiring material. Listen to inspiring audios. Seek the companionship of positive, uplifting people. Listen to upbeat music.

If What You Are Doing Isn’t Working – Do Anything Else Positive

You can reframe any situation. The meaning you assign it is the one you live by. If you don’t like it then change it. Condition yourself to see the good and the positive and the lesson in everything. Find it within adversity. Keep the faith. Be thankful. Practice gratitude.If You only celebrate the good circumstances you don’t know how to celebrate. You must celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

How To Get Unhooked When You Get Hooked!

” How do you stay present? For most of us we are in the past or in the future. We are rarely right here, right now. What can we do when we think a negative thought, feel bad, have a craving, someone injures us verbally, or the world dumps problems on us? What to do?

The best approach is to learn to respond instead of react. Most of use knee jerk react. Someone hurts our feelings and we get mad, sad or try to get revenge. We react instantly to the offense. We are victims because we don’t think we have choice BUT we actually do.

The knack one must learn is to delay the reaction. Similar to delayed gratification. When you want that cookie NOW, delay getting it. Consider having it later. Stop rushing into it. You may wonder how to do this because you haven’t yet been able to. Practice delaying!

You Go Where Your Thoughts Take You – Let Go – Witness – Relax

When you feel bad, have a craving or someone says something that is an affront to you SIT with it. Stop judging it or anything just sit with it. Notice it. Be aware that it occurred. You need to train yourself that it is okay to just be and let it go. Yes, you feel it.

Sit with it. Some suggest sitting for a half an hour. Don’t judge it. Don’t judge yourself. Label nothing. Just feel it and sit with it. Do not indulge it just observe it. Yes, this takes practice if you never have done it but YOU can master it if you will only practice it regularly.

Sit with it for 30 minutes. Why 30? To allow it to dissipate. Simply watch. Slow down the internal feelings and internal self talk. SLOW down. Watch, witness observe. Don’t rush. Take time. After 30 minutes change it. Affirm something else. Do something else.

Skill Comes From Doing – It Gets Easier The More You Do It

Seek the positive. Shift from sitting with it to becoming positive. I am not saying you have to be happy for it but change it from being a problem. Learn to manage your thoughts and emotions and get truly present. You sat with it in the moment. NOW change it productively.

Put off you cravings. Don’t rush. It takes will power but you need to learn how to use your will power. Anything you want to learn to do well may seem impossible at first but with regular correct practice you can master this. It may take 30, 60, 90 days or more but do it.

Negative thoughts and feelings are a part of life. Everyone has them. BUT not everyone is hooked into them. Some have learned how to manage them better. Some learn how to shift from their difficulty to their inner resources. There is nothing wrong with negativity.

Listen And Learn The Lesson – Sit – Wait – Allow – Transform

Negative feelings are alert signals that you are thinking less than glorious thoughts. When you discover this be willing to sit and observe. Sit and transform. Simply recognize the thoughts and feelings for what they are. Don’t judge. Then  change them.

Give it to god, the universe or whatever your personal belief is about a higher power. Surrender it. Give it over. Think, ‘thy will be done’. Let it go and let god. Look for the blessing. Look for the lesson. What can you learn that will benefit you and others from this situation.

If you want to be happy, peaceful, successful and live a wonderful life you need to learn to do new things and transform old ways. You take charge and learn to respond instead of react. Stop being Pavlov’s dog and slobbering every time your bell is rung. Get it? Change it!

If You Really Want To Transform Yourself You’ll Find The Way

Find the lesson and apply the lesson. In order to live successful transform yourself. It isn’t about others or circumstances it is about you. Be the change you want to enjoy. Expect the best, know it may be difficult but that YOU can learn to do this. Condition yourself.

Practice gratitude. Be grateful for the opportunity to change. Be grateful for the lesson in the less than glorious situation. Be grateful you have an opportunity to begin to do things in a new way. Be grateful you are learning to get ‘unhooked’.

Stop reacting, and take charge of your life. It is all a blessing! Delay gratification. Sit with the negative feelings. Stop judging. Let go. Change it at 30 minutes. Do anything else that makes you feel positive and is good for you and others.

If You Don’t Want To Transform Yourself You’ll Find Excuses

Seek to uplift not to harm. Count all as a blessing, a learning and opportunity. Recognize the good about you and your life. Love yourself. Accept yourself. You don’t have to be perfect. Stop being a perfectionist. Live, love, laugh. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

What You Think And Say Greatly Matters

“Each of each of us would benefit greatly to develop the ability to see beyond the present negative circumstances. We need to learn to exercise our ability to not be impacted by less than glorious circumstances. We need to stop judging and become lighthearted.

To the extent we can be nonjudgemental is the degree to which we can triumph over our individual circumstances and move forward more easily creating the life we want. Our perceptions create and shape our reality. We need to stop judging! Become carefree!

When circumstances are negative how does you react? If you react the way you always do then you’re not free. If you can learn to respond instead, and to choose differently, instead of knee jerk react,  then you have possibilities. To do this, stop judging.

What You Say Is What You Get – What You See Is What You Get

Then you become open to numerous, potentially, infinite possibilities. We need to go beyond our judgements, our biases, and be able to hold different views of our circumstances. How we view our circumstances makes them so. When we label, we freeze them.

When we label, we declare what it is. Our thoughts and words have power. They have the power to free us or trap us. If we declare something bad, then it is bad. Get it? Whatever we think or say about it makes it so. However, we can choose to think differently.

When we think differently our perceptions change. If instead of it being a problem we call it an opportunity then we have an opportunity. It is always there. It remains hidden until we declare and affirm that opportunity exists. Our thoughts are important.

You Become What You Think About Most Each Day

How do you wish to go through the world? How do you wish to perceive things that arise in your life? Is it trouble or a new situation? Is it a problem or an opportunity? It is all how you perceive it. Can you learn to suspend judgement and make it work for you?

If we aren’t able to get past our perceptions about circumstances then we are a victim of them and not the victor.  We need to learn how to take charge, manage our mindset and transform our thoughts and hence our circumstances. We become what we think about. We get whatever we focus on. Get it? Learn instead to celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

What To Do When Things Go Rotten

“When things don’t work out as you hoped, remember,  what is is. Learn to go with the flow. Learn to celebrate everything. Stop trying to control. Learn to let go. Learn to surrender, Adjust and continue. KNOW all, ultimately will be well! Learn to trust. Keep the faith.

Think ‘thy will be done’. It doesn’t matter if you are spiritual or religious or not. It doesn’t matter which faith you live from. Consider that you don’t know what you don’t know.  Stop controlling. Live with the faith that it all can and will work out for the best. Relax!

Stop judging the situation. Be judgement free. Learn to be light hearted and carefree. Know all is well. Focus on what you want. Do not let the circumstances throw you. Don’t cast aside you trust. Know, ultimately, it will work out. So, there are turbulent waters?

Keep Moving Forward – Change The Circumstances – Take Charge

Navigate and go with the flow. Sometime adversity appears. You must stay the course even though it seems things have gone awry. Keep focused on what you want to create. Continue to expect it to work out. Celebrate even when life has thrown you a curve ball.

It is all part of the journey. It is all a blessing. Even when it does not appear as such. Learn to look for the lesson. Seek the opportunity. Discover how you can grow through the challenge. Stay positive. Keep on course. Be grateful for all of it. It will eventually change.

As long as you continue, as long as you don’t give up, you will get through it. Defeat is temporary as long as you don’t quit. Hurdlers place hurdles in their path. Realize you are blessed. Be grateful. Remember, energy flows where attention goes! Stay vibing high!

No Matter What Or Who Comes Your Way Keep Moving Forward

You get what you focus on most often. So be certain to focus on the good you want to create. Withdraw your attention and energy from the circumstances. Stay true to your goals and your dream. If you fall down GET back up! Remind yourself, you don’t know what you don’t know. Everything always works out. Continue to expect the best. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Why You Aren’t Getting What You Want And What You Must Do!

“Most people don’t realize we create the circumstances surrounding us. We’re responsible for our reality, shared or otherwise, because we each operate from our own internal maps, rules, filters, beliefs, values, perceptions and more etc. We create reality. We make it so.

We either are busy creating what we want, making good happen, OR we are busy blaming, complaining, whining, warring, struggling, fretting and making excuses. We make excuses but actually each individual is responsible for what s/he creates or participates in.

We perpetuate, far too frequently, what we do not want because we don’t take responsibility for creating it as otherwise. We spend too much time focused on what we don’t like and don’t want, or otherwise distracted. We perpetuate what we do not want in life.

Every Thought We Think And Word We Speak Creates Our Future

We do not spend enough time focused on good we want. Oh, yes, we wish and daydream but most don’t take active control and deliberately build what they want, in their mind, as an architect or engineer does. These people visualize what is to be and make plans.

Then they work the plans. From an idea they create the results. You must understand the world around us is THE EFFECTS of our cause. We are living and surrounded by the results of our thoughts, feelings and actions. The outer is the result of inner work. It begins within.

Whether you realize this or not makes a huge difference. We create the outer world FIRST in our inner experience. We perpetuate whatever we are experiencing in our inner experience by how we think, feel and act. The outer can be otherwise when you wake up.

Where And What We Focus On Is Where We Tend To Go

When the individual takes responsibility for creating positive good , while not complaining or blaming others or circumstances for what they are, then the individual begins to create and experience the desired results and effects. If it is to be it is up to me! Get it?

Stop creating what you don’t want. Stop! Withdraw your attention from the effects.  Be the cause for the good you desire. This is the beginning. Understand energy flows where attention goes. You create what you spend your most time focused on. Understand?

Put your attention of what you can be grateful for. Expand your attention to include more and more. Become more grateful, positive and optimistic. When you do you will begin to change your circumstances. You will cause different effects or results. In gratitude you will transform. So celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Stop Avoiding Troubles! See Them For What They Are

“Most people try to avoid challenges and obstacles. They fear them. Worry about them. They do anything and everything to have them not happen. As a result they are negative goal setting. The continue to create and attract the very things they try to avoid. It is true!

We get what we focus on. If we attempt to avoid something we are attracting it as much as if we are wanting it. You are using the mind to bring about what you think about. In and of themselves there is nothing wrong with problems and challenges. They help us grow!

Weather changes from sunny and warm to rainy and cool and it is good for living things on the earth. When conditions become extreme we don’t like it, but we can survive most of it. Heck people migrated to cold climates and then invented heating. Get it?

It Is Whatever You Perceive It To Be – Your Beliefs Run The Show

Necessity breeds innovation. Problems provide us opportunity we may otherwise never see. Life will always provide us challenge. We all fall down. Successful people, in life, get back up no matter how many times they fall. This is what we each must learn to do. Get up!

Don’t stay down. Stop focusing on hardship and begin to focus on what you want instead. If you know what you don’t want, great! Now turn your back on it and focus on what you do want. Keep your attention of what you want to create and persist. Focus on it!

Learn to embrace problems as opportunity to grow, to evolve, and to go beyond present circumstances and limitations. Learn something new and transform yourself. When you begin to view everything as an opportunity and as a blessing then there are no problems. Get it?

Speak Only To Bless Heal Prosper Inspire And Motivate

It is what every you decide it it. It is whatever you determine it to be. Your perceptions, and what you say about it, determine what you experience. Learn to talk differently. How To Best Handle Turbulent Times

“We live in awesome times. Lot’s being shaken up. Lot’s of flurry flying AND lot’s of things people think are problems. Yet, there is still lot’s of good, lot’s of love, and lot’s of personal growth. What you focus on most of the time determines what you find most often.

For those who may worry, remember,  it is always darkest before the dawn. From chaos stars are born. The big bang may be why we are all here.  We began in an explosion. A joy of human birth comes through pain. The kite rises highest against the wind. Always live victoriously.

The glass is either half full or half empty. You define which you think it is. You are affected by how you view it. You either focus on what you enjoy and can do, or you focus on what is missing and unliked. Whichever you choose determines how you feel and your results.

Drop By Drop The Tub Fills – You Will Get There Step By Step

It is what it is. All will ultimately work out for the best. Think of it as an olympic event. Lot’s of challenge and hurdles to overcome but that is the game. We challenge ourselves with the marathons and triathlons. Keep the faith. Enjoy the game. Keep doing your best.

Love lots! Think your best. Feel your best. Do your best. Be happy in the midst of turmoil It is doable. It only isn’t possible if you don’t believe it is possible. You determine what your life is like. You decide how you handle outside influences. But it all begins from within you.

Be the best . Make happen what you want to make happen. Intend to create great, good things. Then follow through! Don’t worry about circumstances, transform circumstances! Rise above. Live from a higher purpose. Live from your highest self. You can if you choose to.

The More We Do The More We Can Do – Skill Comes From Doing

You can if you believe you can and you decide to. Einstein said, ‘Great spirits must always do violent contentions with mediocre minds.’ Simply consider that the way of the world. Rise above!Find the good in all things. Focus on the good. Then good will expand!

Create what you want to make happen. Discover the blessings. Feel grateful. Say ‘thank you’ all through your day. Out loud tp others and inside to your higher power and your incredible self. Fill your mind and heart with gratitude. Make a list! Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Never Allow Yourself To Not Go For What You Want

“Everyone can pull them selves out of the mire. It doesn’t matter the decade, the country or the financial conditions. It may be tougher for some than others but if history has taught us anything it is that some people triumph and persevere no matter what. It is  possible to win!

The only thing that determines if someone will is the beliefs, expectations and motivation of that person. If you don’t believe it is possible, don’t expect to succeed and aren’t driven to even try, then you are bound to remain where you are. You’ll stay stuck as a victim.

If you decide you can and you will and are passionate about securing the results then you will work to make it happen. If you are driven to succeed and never give up then you may astound yourself at what you can accomplish. It is completely up to you not circumstances.

Whether  You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

One person’s meat is another’s poison.  You can do it if you attempt it. You can do it if you believe you can. You can do it if you don’t give up no matter the odds. If you want to change things then take charge and make things happen. Create opportunity for yourself. Get it?

One person’s floor is another person’s ceiling. Only you are the ultimate determinant as to whether you do it or not. If it is going to be it is completely up to you. If you don’t try it you will never know it.  Yes, you may work with others along the way but you must begin.

Start today. Decide to follow your dreams. Choose to make your goals come true. Determine to follow through positively until you get there. No one will carry you on the journey. You make the trek step by step. So be glad. It is in your hands. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
