The Secret To Transforming Your Problems Into Opportunities

“When times are difficult many people struggle with fear and worry. They imagine dastardly, negative scenarios, again and again, in their head. There is a way to move past this and get relief. Instead of derailing oneself, there is a means of getting back on track.

When troubled by people, events and circumstances, one of the useful things you can do is ask yourself, ‘What is the worst that can happen?’ Granted this sounds like a question you might want to avoid but it is important to consider. ‘What is the worst’?

Why on earth do you want to ask that? Because most people already see bad things. They imagine the world crumbling around them. What they don’t see is the ultimate bad thing. The reason you want to this is because, typically, the worst thing never, ever happens.

Don’t Let What You Fear Interfere With What You Are Able To Do

It just doesn’t. They simply live in worry and fear. They perpetuate the difficulties by focusing on them. Worry is actually negative programming. People program their minds. The more you worry and fear the more likely you are to bring those things about. Quit it!

Someone once said, everyone should go through bankruptcy. Again, why on earth wish this for anyone? Because, when you go through it you realize life isn’t over. People who are bankrupt still have a place to live, a car to drive, places to go, things to do and enjoy. They do!

It isn’t over! WE tend to think it will be, but it isn’t. I’ve had numerous friends go bankrupt and while not pleasant always, their lives did not change much. There may be some exceptions. For most who go through it, they  learn it is not as bad as thought, prior to it.

There Aren’t Obstacles In Your Path – Obstacles Are The Path 

When you deliberately ask, ‘what is the worst that can happen’ usually, you discover whatever ‘the very worst thing is’ you still survive. You are still okay, and you can, if you worked at it, handle it. Life isn’t over because of your imagined fears and worries.

They loom larger in the mind when not confronted. Once confronted the sting is gone. YOU took out the sting. You reduced the mountain to a mole hill. NOW You can break the problem down into bite size, manageable, steps or tasks, you can more easily and readily resolve.

It is the imagination running wild that is the difficulty. Gain control. Reign it in and you can again be on your way to being more productive and happy. You can resolve most any problem this way. Most of us, fear things that will never, ever happen. Stop it. Let go.

Strength Comes From Overcoming You Worries And Fears

Take control of your thoughts. Then you take control of your feelings. Yes, there are other things you may also do. I have discussed these in previous blogs. Read through and find them. I could share where but it is good to study and reread. It benefits.

Anytime confronted by problems consider them blessings and be grateful. This powerfully transforms them quite quickly. You don’t fear or worry about blessings and good things do you? Problems are their to teach you something and for you to discover what that is.

They are roadblocks slowing you down, to get your attention, so you can learn to be a better you. Be grateful. Be thankful. Feel truly blessed. Inside the obstacle is the seed of opportunity. You may have to look to find it, but that is why the obstacle is there. Trust. Let go. Enjoy. Delight. Feel blessed. Everything transforms when you celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

To Be Do Or Have More You Need To Do This Now!

“If money were no object, what would you be, do or have? If money were no object, what would your dreams be? What would you include? Who would you be? What would you be doing? What would you have? Imagine, for a moment, money is no object.

Sadly, most people don’t dream very big. We don’t dream big enough. It has been said, and I paraphrase, that ‘too often we aim at small targets and hit them’. What is your mission in life? What is your purpose? What is your definite chief purpose? Figure it out!

Have the courage to dream large. Thomas Edison did. He wanted to light up the world. So did Tesla. Ford wanted to make cars available and changed transportation. The Wright Brothers pioneered aviation and gave us air travel. There are many others, too.

Dare To Dream Big – Believe In Your Dreams – Believe In Yourself

These men, most of them, came from poor backgrounds and had little formal education. They weren’t all together, together, but they dared to dream. They dared to seek to make their dreams come true. They didn’t wait for others or the Law Of Attraction to do it.

They did it. IT began with their thinking. It started within them. They thought about it, dreamt about it and translated their dreams into physical reality. You can too! Start dreaming big. Visualize life and how it would be for you if money were no object. Imagine that!

Spend time day dreaming. Make a vision board or vision book. Go out and sit in your dream car. Tour your dream homes. Try on your dream jewelry. Take pictures of you doing these. That can help you imagine. Remember ‘Life Styles Of The Rich And Famous’? Do you?

Life Holds Special Magic For Those Who Dare To Dream Big

Rich people do this? They see things they want and make it happen. They imagine having more things, doing more things and creating more things. Don’t bother about how you make it happen just imagine the possibility. How comes later. Right now plant seeds.

Dream big. You can take small steps to your big goals, I’ve shared how you can do that, many times. Dream bigger than you have before. Stretch yourself! Wouldn’t it be awesome if you made your dream come true? You bet it would. When you do, how do you feel?

Imagine these feelings and feel them fully. Enjoy dream building your future. Have fun. Go out and get magazines and look at lavish lifestyles. Get the Robb Report. See how the rich live. Stretch your mind to include more potential, more possibilities. Imagine.

If Your Dreams Don’t Scare You They Aren’t Big Enough 

Oliver Wendell Holmes said, ‘A mind stretched to a new idea can never go back to its original dimension’. Stretch yourself. Have a blast. Feel incredible. Don’t envy or resent the rich people or you will never get what you want. The mind can’t hold two opposing ideas.

If you want to be rich but hate rich people, it is unlikely you will ever make yourself rich. Enjoy. Delight. By the way, it is not just about money or what you can do with it for yourself. You can help others too. It is all about stretching your mind to include more possibility.

Feel good. Make it fun. Go places and see cool things. Take tours of mansions. Go look at yachts and fancy cars. Window shop and feel good. Think, ‘I can be, do or have that too!’ How big can u dream? Be grateful. Express your gratitude. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

How You Can Change Habitual Filters To See More Clearly

“Do you know what a filter does? It allows some things through while capturing or not permitting other things through. Think, coffee filter. Water passes through it, releasing the coffee, but preventing the grounds. Grounds are trapped, but you still enjoy the coffee.

We all have filters. We have chronic old habitual filters that prevent us from seeing what is actually there. From these we live out beliefs and thoughts and values we adopted, as our own, from the others around us, while growing up. Some of these filters served us well.

All of the filters serve us. However, not all would be those one might consider desirable. We miss abundance and see lack. We miss love and see hate. We miss the smiles of the day and only see frowns. We miss all the good things and focus, instead, on the bad news.

A Pessimist Sees The Difficulty In Every Opportunity

We live from mental and emotional habits. Chronic, automatic thoughts, feelings and behaviors that may hold us back from getting what we want. We miss opportunities as a result. The goods news is we can always change habits if we want to and are willing to.

You replace an old habit with a new one, the same way the original habit was built. You expose yourself to the concepts, feelings and behaviors repeatedly, for a long enough duration, until the new habit takes hold. Once it does you are on your way to new ways of being.

Research indicates it takes a minimum of 21 days of consistent repetition, or practice, of the new thought, emotional or behavioral habit to begin to take hold. 3 weeks that isn’t that long. Of course, it is just the beginning, but really that is pretty cool. Short, too.

An Optimist Sees The Opportunity In Every Difficulty

3 weeks from now you could be on your way to a new you. You could think, feel and behave more how you want to. You could be, do and have anything different you want.  You can transform yourself into a whole new you. Perfect practice makes perfect. Get it?

So what do you want? What could you begin to practice right now, that would make you that better you? What could you begin to imagine, and Act As If, you already have it, that you could rehearse again and again in your mind? What could you make real inside?

Think on this? What is your greatest passion and desire? What do you want more of? Careful now, I didn’t ask what don’t you want, I asked what do you want more of? Why do you want it? What will having that do for you? Can you imagine how life would change?

To Hell With Circumstances – I Create Opportunities

Clarify what you want. It is okay if you said, ‘I don’t want to smoke.’ Just remember, that you want to focus on what you want. ‘I want to be healthier’. You can make it as specific as you can. ‘I want to be able to walk a block easily’. Write down specifically what you want.

Focus on what you want a couple times a day. Close your eyes and imagine already living it. You already have it. It is yours and you are it. From this vantage point feel how it feels to have your greatest desire. Celebrate and accentuate the good feelings. Enjoy it.

Spend a few minutes. 5 at least. Visualizing and affirming. Then go about your day. Remember to focus on what you want as often as possible throughout the day. Write it on a card and carry it with you. Take it out and read it during the day. Before bed, repeat imagining.

You Can’t Live A Positive Life With A Negative Mind

Do this consistently with positive emotions until you make it yours. What you are doing is informing your subconscious mind this is what you intend to make happen. Once your subconscious gets the message it begins aligning your inner resources to make it happen.

It begins working for you. It begins to filter out the useless distracting stuff in favor of opportunities. You become aware of people, events and circumstances that would be beneficial in helping you bring about your great desire. Your brain works for you!

You begin to intuit right choices, and notice things you previously wouldn’t have. It is all because you powerfully focus on what you want to include in your life. Your brain finds the way to do that for you. You supply the message until it gets the message and takes over.

Rule Your Mind Or It Will Rule You – What You Focus On Expands

All the while express gratitude for this ability and the opportunity to make your desires come true. Anything and everything you can find to appreciate, do so. Make a daily list. Affirm and be grateful. Express it silently and verbally. Speak only to bless, heal and prosper.

The more thankful you are for everything, the more you allow more things in. You stop filtering out all the good you have previously missed out on. You, now begin noticing it and receiving it. You allow and accept more incredible moments into your life. Get it?

This is how it all works. Affirm, visualize and repeat your great desire long enough to make it a habit. Sincerely and joyously give thanks and more good comes your way. You make it happen from the inside to the outside. You create your reality. Your brain filters in ways that serve you the best. So, go get what you want. In the meantime, celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Can You Visualize And Make Things Happen?

“I learned a lesson about manifesting by manifesting a parking space. Something so small many people would call it a coincidence. Perhaps. Still, see what you can derive and learn from this example from my experience. You may come away with a lot of insight.

I stayed at an apartment, in an area, that did not require a nighttime parking permit. Across the street to the south and a block a way a permit was required. This is where I would park if I couldn’t find a space on my street. My street was packed and spaces were rare.

They were much rarer if you parked there after 5pm. During the previous week no spots were available after 5 or 5:30 pm. I was going to be traveling the next day. I’d been at a meeting which was delayed. I left at 7:30 pm. I knew I’d have to park a block away.

What You Hold In Your Head You Can Hold In Your Hand

I decided at that moment to create a spot for myself right in front of the gate to the apartment. I saw it clearly in my mind. I affirmed that this was what I wanted. Heck, I’d even take a nearby one around the corner too. That was still close enough. I threw in the 2nd request.

Why? I imagined two spots because frankly, the likelihood of getting a spot in front of my apartment was nearly zero. I didn’t want to be disappointed in not getting one. I doubted there would be one. It was actually difficult for me to muster up enough energy to do it.

My thinking was don’t do this. There won’t be a spot and it will just weaken your convictions. Doubt, is a great de-motivator. I didn’t want to try something and have it not work. If I don’t know it won’t work I am willing, but I was certain this wouldn’t work. I knew it.

What You See Is What You Get

So I determined the first spot right out front and then a back up spot just in case. Neither were even remotely likely. I drove up the street and lo and behold the back up spot was available. I thought better take it now while it is here. I was tempted to drive around the corner.

I wanted there to be a spot in front of the apartment but if I didn’t take this one and there wasn’t I might miss out on this one too. I nabbed it. I parked. I felt good enough. I walked around the corner and there in front was the available space just as I imagined.

Both spots were there. I took the first one  got to, to be safe. This was unreal. Both spots in the exact places I visualized at a time when every day that week, and prior to that, there would be none. I felt fantastic, and a little bit disappointed I didn’t turn the corner first.

What You Focus On Expands – You Get What You Think About

I learned a lot from this experience which I will share soon. What might you have learned from my experience? This is important to explore? What might you have gleaned that you can use to manifest and create what you want in life? Please answer this for yourself.

How To Solve Your Problems In Another Time Dimension

“One of the ways you can help yourself avoid future problems is by contingency planning.  You build a contingency plan by resolving the issue in future. Let’s use an example from the world of sales. Cold calling is something few people like and often abandon.

The reason for this is, even though you may be calling qualified ‘hot’ lead, the person on the other end of the phone is a stranger. That person ‘hot’, ‘warm’ or ‘cold’ frequently has requests for further information and objections. This can be difficult for the sales person.

The worst thing that can happen to a new sales person is to score big sales right out of the gate. While it is cause to celebrate and can help to increase confidence, too early of success means the salesperson doesn’t learn through trial and error experience. They learn one way.

Look Back And Smile On The Past – The Old Way Led To The New

They repeat the way that worked again and again. This results in hit or miss. Often, their sales, sadly, diminish. They can’t figure out what went wrong since they started off so well. Had they had some trials and tribulations they’d have learned multiple ways to sell.

So what you can do is visualize the sales call by phone or in person. See it going well. Fantastic. See yourself and the client or customer getting along and having great rapport. Imagine them and hear them say they will buy. Awesome, you made the sale. Anchor it.

Enjoy the feeling of success! Now, run scenarios in which each time you attempt to sell they come up with an excuse or objection. Watch and listen to how you overcome the objection. Imagine maintaining rapport and leading the client to a sale.

Stop Repeating Mistakes – Make New Ones – Fail Forward

Pick more and more difficult objections to resolve. Run scenario after scenario in your mind. Each time see yourself remain confident and resourceful while handling the objections satisfactorally.  Rehearse succeeding at overcoming any number of objections.

This is a good use of your mental skills. You imagine success. Then you imagine failure and how you overcome it. What do you think, say, and do that makes the difference? You can also role play with partners in real life. Here is another suggestion. The phone call.

You call. Introduce why you are there and they say not interested and hang up. OR they just hang up! How do you manage to make the next number of calls. Imagine yourself getting told ‘no’ and getting hung up on. Imagine yourself remaining resourceful. Feel it.

The Difference Between Ordinary And Extraordinary Is Practice

Feel resourceful. Every ‘no’ you imagine, let it make you more determined, more thrilled, more optimistic, more resourceful. What happens in real time is people get deflated. Find a way to take the ‘rejection’ and turn it into a positive resource that fuels you.

If you see yourself defeated in your mind you will be. That is what happens in real time. You can help prevent it by practicing in advance handling the tough times. Act as if you are resourceful and positive and can keep going. Rehearse maintaining these feelings.

Many people don’t include contingency planning in their visualizations and it is important. Imagine the obstacles and how you overcome them.  Also keep in mind whenever you have any difficulty that there is a time in the future when it won’t matter.

To Enjoy Success You Must Travel In Advance Of The World

There is a time coming, when what is happening now won’t matter any more.. At that time you can look back and see how the present less than glorious situation contributed to you, and benefited you in the long run.

It didn’t limit you though it may have seemed to at the time. Learn to appreciate these moments. Be grateful. Know that there are always plenty of opportunities if we remain open. Problems and rejection, hard times and obstacles all help us grow through experience. Without it we aren’t nearly as resourceful. Be thankful if success doesn’t happen too quickly. Learn, rehearse, make good habits and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Overcome This Tendency And You Can Create The Future Your Want!

“There is something that holds most people back from accomplishing their goals and dreams. Some people worry, have fears, doubts and limiting beliefs that they succumb to instead of champion over. Something else really limits your chances!

You must change this! ‘Energy flows where attention goes’! Pay attention to this principle. It means be careful where you put your attention. ‘You get what you focus on’. ‘You become what you think about’. So what are most people doing wrong? I’ll tell you.

Most people focus on their present ‘sucky’ reality as if that is all there is. Their attention is on the problems, issues, worries, fears, doubts, and limitations of the present. You need to stop this if you are doing it. Put your focus on what you want. On what you want!

What You Think And Feel And What Manifests Is Always A Match

However, there is a way of doing this that works. Some hope and wish and desire what they want but don’t make it happen because their energy is a reaction against their worries, fears and doubts. They want to escape Texas more than they want to live in California.

When you want to avoid or eliminate more than you want to get or obtain, your internal powers are out of balance. You are getting, creating, attracting or manifesting what you don’t want NOT what you do want. You have to shift focus to what you DO want!

Here is a very important piece. While it is all serious  business you can’t take it seriously. You want to have fun, delight, be enthusiastic, filled with joy, peace, love and good will. The lighter you are, the better you feel, the more joy and positive energy, the easier it is.

Hold The Vision – Trust The Process – You Get What You Focus On

That is why happiness and success are not destinations BUT the journey! Here is another very important piece I remind you of again and again. Be as a little child. Be open, filled with wonder, awe and curiosity. Have fun, play. PLAY for goodness sakes, is a key! PLAY!

Pretend you already have everything you want. You are already the person you desire to be. You are doing the very thing you have always wanted to do. Pretend fully. Think the thoughts you’d think if you’d already arrived in California. You already got your goals.

How would you feel? What would you see, hear, think, feel, experience, taste, and smell differently? What would you be doing? Where would you be? What would those close to you be saying to you and about you? Who would you be surrounded by? How is life?

You Are A Manifestation Of Your Fantasy – Think Positively

What kind of money would you be making? Where would you be living? What would you be driving? How would you spend your time? Pretend you know all of it and pretend it already has happened. Feel the incredibly wonderful feelings and thoughts you’d be thinking.

Play and have fun. Delight in this. Spend more time feeling your future already has having happened than you do the current reality. You are where your thoughts have brought you. You will be where your thoughts take you. Energy flows where attention goes!

Get over living in a ‘sucky’ reality being concerned with what you don’t want. And start imagining the reality you do want as if you already have it. Overcome the tendency to remain stuck in the present. Focus on what you want to get. Play with it. Have fun!

What You Feel You Attract – What You Think You Become

Take it lightly. Enjoy the process. Be happy and thrilled. Be grateful for all. Express your thrills and delights. Notice the small things that excite you. Become a little child and be fascinated. If you are too serious and work too hard you actually push things away. Invite it all!

You invite when you become inviting. Be friendly, be fun, be passionate. Enjoy the process. Count the small wins along the way. Keep the faith and really pretend as a little child pretends. Visualize and imagine specifically what that future is like and feel it right now. Make it a blast. Expect good things to happen. Be positive. Become an optimist. Celebrate everything! Rex Sikes

“How do you experience more abundance right now? How do you overcome the limitations of your own thinking and feeling? How do you take action when you don’t feel inspired? What can you do to create and make the future, you want to have,  a reality?

Neville Goddard, and others, suggest that you feel the feelings now of your wish fulfilled. What would it feel like to right now get the goal or dream you desire? You get the job, the partner, the money, the home, the car that you have wanted; what does that feel like?

If you got it today how would you feel? How DOES it feel? This is where you must spend time in your visualization. Spend time each day feeling and living the joys of having received it already. It isn’t far off in the future, it is immediate. It is right now. Practice this!

You Are Already That Which You Want To Be

Some claim that is hard but you are already doing it. What? You say, ‘I am not. I have tried but can’t make it seem real.’ Okay, well try this on. I bet when the bills are due or when there is trouble you feel as if the bill collector already repossessed your car or home. You feel bad.

Am I right or right? You feel bad now. Most people live their worst fears over and over instead of living their best dreams over and over. I consider that poor taste and a major waste of time. In order to get what we want we must focus on what we actually do want to have.

Stop living the defeats, the worries and the problems, and feeling bad in advance of the situations. Stop it. Put an end to it. Commit to changing this. Switch from feeling bad about what you don’t want to feeling good about what you do want. Imagine you already have it!

Everything That Appears Without Was First An Inner Image

Start living fully in the good you desire. Feel good right now!  Feel happy right now. Feel fulfilled right now. Feel gratitude right now. When you do, you get back more of the good! It is time to stop getting more of the bad and get more of the good you really want.

Don’t you think? Whatever you hold in your mind expands. What you focus on you attract. If you are worried about problems and debts you get more. It seems endless. It is! When you start feeling abundant, really feeling it, you begin to create abundance. Get it?

It isn’t magical. It is your brain at work. You are doing it. You change your mental focus and your feelings change. You start feeling more like doing the things that get the results you want. You are doing it. When you feel you are on top of the world you attract good too!

Believe That You Already Are That Which You Want To Be

You are more attractive to the kind of people who can help you. Your mind is open to finding good all around. You notice opportunities because you aren’t caught up in worry. You maximize yourself, so naturally you maximize the likelihood of good things happening.

Begin right now! Decide to feel good. If you don’t know what to do, look around you for anything large or small you can be grateful for. Focus on that. Discover how many things are in your life right now you can appreciate.  Find those things you usually take for granted.

Start by being grateful. Make a list. Feel the gratitude. Enjoy the process. Have fun. You transform your thoughts from lack and negativity to abundance and positivity. You shape your present moments and your future. Take charge and make good things happen. Delight. Wrap yourself in the feelings of having already obtained the good you desire. Why Don’t People, Including You, Change When They Want To?

“You try to change? You want to lose weight, gain weight, get out of debt, spend less money, Yet, you don’t. You try to make more money, feel happier, stop yelling at kids,  or quit smoking but you haven’t. What’s up with this? Why don’t people change if they want to?

The short answer is: They haven’t decided to. They want to but haven’t made the decision. That is one heck of a major reason. They hope to, wish to, and want to really, really, badly, BUT they haven’t actually said, ‘I will change’.  YOU haven’t committed to it, either.

Instead they try different things. All of which don’t work, according to them. They make excuses, they blame others. They tell themselves, ‘it will be hard’. They say things like, ‘I don’t know how.’ They blame god, the world, the economy, even themselves.

Unsuccessful People Make Decisions Based On What Sucks Now

‘I can’t change’. ‘I’ve tried everything.’ UH, NO, YOU HAVEN’T. You may think you have tried everything, but you haven’t. May seems like it, but nope. You’re not  doing the right things. You keep doing the same things over and over wishing and hoping it would be different.

That’s part of the problem. You have to do something ACTUALLY different! You have to say you will and then you have to commit to it. You have been putting it off. Fearing it. Resisting it. Worrying about it. You have been programming yourself to fail again! STOP THIS!

STOP the Insanity! You need to program yourself to succeed. You need to quit failing and start succeeding. As Henry Ford stated, ‘Whether you think you can’t or you think you can. You are right’. You’ve lied about why you can’t change. Now, lie about why you can.

Successful People Decide Based On Where They Want To Be

You have to decide you will. Commit to it. Affirm that commitment each and every day, every hour and every minute, if need be. Commit and persist. Believe you can do it. Affirm that you can do it. Decide it will be easier than you imagine, even though, it may be tough.

It requires as much effort and action as it requires. You don’t take a bazooka after a gnat when a flyswatter will do. Still, you must do whatever it takes. You must keep doing it until you make it a new habit and master it. You must engage your mind power. You must!

You must make your thoughts and feelings work for you instead of the way you typically use them. You must take charge and decide that you are larger than any problem you could possibly have. YOU are in charge. You will do it. You will make it happen. You – You – You!

There Is Power In Making The Decision To Do Something Positive

Stop doing the old things the old ways. Stop doing the old habits. Make some new ones. Create thought, feeling and action habits that serve you. Weed the garden. Stop feeding the weeds. Feed only what you want to grow. Speak only that which promotes growth.

Align your thoughts, feelings, words and actions. Focus your attention powerfully on what you want to create and do it. The more you do the more you can do. Break it into manageable steps at first. Chunk it down. Step by step, but do it. You can learn to do anything.

Appreciate that you want to change. Appreciate what you want to change because something about it served you. Right or wrong there was something in the behavior for you. Now change and appreciate you have decided it is time. Appreciate your efforts. Be glad!

Appreciate your progress. Each day feel blessed and thankful for the effort, the progress, the slip-ups and mistakes, the return to progress and for your persistence. Feel blessed you are alive and able to take this on. Stop whining and start winning. Make it a game. Have fun. Enjoy it. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
