Go the extra mile. Inspire and motivate others. Helping them helps you too. Fill your mind with positive, ‘can do’ thinking. Sing. Skip. Dance. Do yoga or exercise. Get in touch with spirit. Meditate. Go to a peaceful place inside. Live from your higher self. Feel grateful!

Life is too short to make it complex. Too many people spend too much time making it too complicated and too difficult. Simply stop. Drop the drama. Let go and let god. Trust. Have faith. believe in yourself. Make a difference now for yourself and others.

Keep it simple. Take it easy. Attitude IS everything. Look within. Look forward. Let go of the past. Learn from mistakes. Use what you know and benefit from what you learn. Experience can bring wisdom. Talk a walk. Take a bath. Take a nap. Get more sleep. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Why You Need To Stop Talking And Start Doing

“How many times have you heard it said, ‘Just begin! Start from where you are at.’ No matter what don’t worry about how to start or how to succeed. Give that a rest for now. Truly, just begin from where you are. Go as far as you can with what you have right now.

You will see further when you get there. Too many people get lost in words. They never start because they believe, erroneously, that to begin they must know how they will do it. YOU DON’T need to know how. How is a myth. It is a lie you have believed for way too long?

What you need is WHY. WHY is the key. Why do you want change? What for?  What motivates you?  What is your purpose?  What will it be like when you have what you want? Who will you be? What will you be doing different from now? W hat will you have that you want?

Figure Out Your Passion – It Will Lead You To Your Purpose

You don’t really need to know how or to add anything to yourself to begin making the changes you desire. You don’t need to prepare. You don’t need to learn more.  Truly! You need to be driven by a cause bigger than you, something that makes you want to move forward.

Discover the whys. Develop the whys. Find all the reasons you must pursue your dreams. The bigger the better. Have a great big end goal. Develop smaller ones you make happen along the road to the big one. List your whys. Get familiar with them. Get excited.

Then you will move forward. Then you will move forward eagerly. You can pick up all the ‘other stuff’ once you get moving.  Learn as you go. In fact, you will. It’s called ‘correct and continue’. You will make mistakes and correct them. This is called gaining experience.

Sometimes We Find Our Purpose In Tragedy And Opposition

You can and will improve along the way. You will get practice and experience. You’ll correct the missteps and adjust. You will learn what you need to do. Stay open and don’t quit. Never give up on a worthwhile purpose. Adjust and continue. Evolve and grow.

All you need to begin is to stop making excuses for why you don’t. Stop waiting and start doing. Stop waiting until you have everything or until you are finally prepared  because you won’t ever be.  Life is a process.  You are a process.  Now is the time! Jump on in!

You are enough to move forward. Stop making it cerebral and start making it real. Stop talking about doing it and do it. Stop believing your own unsupportive BS and develop new positive beliefs that support you. Live the life of your dreams. Follow your passions.

Great Minds Have Purpose – Other Minds Have Wishes

Enjoy the journey. Stay open for new opportunities. With a positive, open, optimistic mindset, you will see and discover new things you would otherwise previously have missed. The more you think and believe you can the more your neurology opens up to that.

Your own brain looks for positive matches in the outer world. Just as when you buy new clothes or a car you start noticing all the others like yours. Your brain develops a heightened awareness for good things and great possibilities for you to take advantage of. Stay open and enjoy. Be grateful and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Learn To Use This Master Key For Personal And Social Change

“Why do people want change? Probably obvious to state they don’t like something. There is a problem. They feel discomfort. Something is off and needs to be adjusted, eliminated or changed in some way by some means. Yes, frequently that is why we make changes.

When comfortable we enjoy. It is good so we don’t push for things to be different. We may enjoy learning or improving ourselves but we don’t feel as if we need to so we coast a bit. Then something comes along, usually an ouch, and we decide something must be different!

Here is what to do. Make a big list of what is wrong. List everything you can think of.  Whether it is everything about one problem or multiple problems. Take some time. Go on get it all out. Purge! Shine some light on those issues lurking about, too. Clean house. List all!

Think Positive And Positive Things Will Happen Focus Focus Focus

Next make a big list of what can be better. Clarify what you want for the future. What would be the ideal if the problem didn’t exist? How would life be better? What do you want instead? Take your time and be thorough. Use this example as a guideline. You have a house.

It is condemned. A lot is wrong with it. List all the repairs necessary but realize the whole house has to go. Now build a new house. The house of your dreams. What is that house like? Those problems areas how are they different in the new house? For example.

You might say, ‘The sink is tiny and leaks. The plumbing sucks. The fixture are old.’  Your new house would have a brand, new, beautiful sink that works perfectly. It is just the right size. The fixtures are gold (what ever your ideal is) and when you use it you feel great,

Negative Thinkers Focus On Problems 

Okay, get it? You have a list of what is wrong and unwanted that you want to exclude.  You have a list of what is right and desirable that you want to include or have more of. Okay, great. You have clarified the situation. Anything else you want to add, or change? Do it now.

Now take your list of positives and do whatever it takes to create and build what you want. Focus on creating and building rather than tearing down and getting rid off. If you tear the old problem house down you still need to build a new one or all you have is an empty lot.

So spend 98 or 99 percent focused on what you want to build and build it. Shift away from the problem to the desired solutions. Now, really do whatever you need to do, honestly and positively, to bring your desire into being. If you need to learns some things, learn them.

Positive Thinkers On Results

If you need some money find a legal way to raise it. Learn to do it or find someone who will help you. Do whatever it takes to make what you want happen. No excuses. No waffling. No whining. Just do it. Make your dreams come true. It is completely up to you!

Enlist others who want to help build. Find and attract positive like minded people who will work together for solutions. Fighting the old does not bring in the new. If you are working on a goal you agree on for yourselves or a social goal then together clarify and specify.

Together determine what you want to build. Work together in harmony. The purpose is to bring about what you want by working harmoniously together toward the same end. Keep the harmony. Preserve the relationship. Stay positive. Work together! Enjoy!

What You Think About You Bring About 

Work without ever giving up. Adjust as necessary but make it happen. Conversation may be a starting place to find like minded people but at some point like minded people need to do something. Over come inertia and the tendency to do nothing and move the ball forward. If you want it create it stop being a victim.

Start being a victor. If you want to apply it to the town, city, state or or  country you live in. Adopt the Gandhi method. Do what Gandhi did. He mobilized a few hundred million people with positive inspiration and motivation. Today it should be easier than ever.

We have social media and are more connected globally.  Or  it may also be somewhat difficult because the ‘controlling’ powers have wised up. However, anything is possible and achievable if you believe you can do it and work to make it happen without giving up.

Visualize Your Success Then Take Action – Action Is The Key

Correct, adjust and keep moving forward. Find a way. Create a way. That is what I suggest. I’ll leave it to others say why that won’t work. Then you’ll see the difficulty that needs to be overcome,inertia and ‘can’t do’ thinking. You’ll hear from the naysayer mindset.

No excuses. If we decide we want to do it, do it! Determine to build what we want. Resolve to not let anything stop us. Then we can prevail. Believe and take action. We can do it if we decide we will. You can do it when you decide. Talk is cheap action is everything. More in the next post. Make your dreams come true and celebrate everything! Rex Sikes

This Is How You Start Winning And Become A Real Winner!

“How do you win at the game of life? Do you know? How do you win the money game? How do you begin to feel more like a winner and less like a loser? Are there secrets to making it different for yourself? Yes, there are methods to begin winning and to transform yourself.

This post continues the series. Be sure to read each in order beginning with ‘Do You Know The Critical First Step In Making Positive Permanent Changes’. Winning is an inside game. Our outer reality follows from our inner reality. What we think we become.

Our thoughts actually do determine our reality and the results we get. It works this way. Our thoughts precede our feelings and determine how we feel. How we feel depends on the thought we think. If we feel great it is because we think great positive thoughts.

Whether You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

If we feel poorly it is because our thoughts suck. They are negative or critical of ourselves, others or the world. Then how we feel from the first thoughts loops around and helps determine the next thoughts we think. If negative we get more negative. Bad to bad.

It spirals down or up depending on our thinking. Our feelings determine what we do. We either feel good or not so good. We either feel motivated or not. Loops again. Spirals more. Our feelings lead to our behaviors. Our behaviors lead to the results we get.

Most people don’t feel like winners because of this sequence. They run a negative less than glorious cycle. There is another aspect to all of this, I didn’t mention. It is the story we tell ourselves. This story is also part of our habitual conditioning whether positive or negative.

Our Thoughts Lead to Feelings Lead To Behaviors Lead To Results

People have a story they tell. That story is why they aren’t a winner. It’s historical in nature. It’s perceived history. They  cherry picked examples to support their hypothesis of why they are or aren’t a winner; lucky in love; able to get ahead; or whatever it is.

This story is chronic. They speak it to themselves and to others. It stems from the Reticular Activating System (RAS) finding matches for their beliefs. We have discussed this aspect many times in previous posts. The brain finds examples for what we believe,

It doesn’t matter whether it is positive or negative the brain finds matches. If we think we are a loser our brain will support us in making that so. It will find examples to provide us with more reasons why that is the case. It would do otherwise if we felt we are a winner.

We Become What We Think About Most Often

The brain works to prove the human right. The subconscious supports the conscious in this manner. Whatever we think our brain says, ‘yup, you’re right!’. So losers tell why they are loser stories and winners tell why they are winner stories. This is HOW it works.

If you want to end being or feeling like a loser you need to collect more wins. How do you do that if you don’t know how to win and historically you feel as though you always lose? Here is how. Return to baby steps from my most recent preceding post.

Take baby steps. Realize you are a learner and you learned to do most everything. You learned to feel and think this way. Since you did you can learn to think and feel a different way. You will recondition yourself to think and feel and behave more successfully.

Winners Aren’t People Who Never Fail But Ones Who Never Quit

Consider yourself a learner is part of the process I already covered. Now add this next step. Find things to consider wins. If you made your bed this morning you are a winner.  If you washed your dishes today you did something and won. Acknowledge and validate.

You took an action and followed through. Celebrate and appreciate. That is a win. That is an accomplishment. Each thing you did that you wanted or needed to do that you followed through on can be considered a win. Yes, this is a tiny piece. A baby step. A method.

It is a means and method to begin re-coding for your brain. You haven’t felt like a winner well now it is time you did. Start small and build up. Begin with intentions and follow through. Create a list of 3 to 5 things you will do today. Each day set your intentions.

To Be  A Winner You Must Plan, Prepare And Expect To Win

Then do them. They can be really small. Such as, today I intend to make my bed; clean my desk; drive safely to work or school; greet my associates with a smile; confidently order coffee from the barista. Then do these. At the end of day check off your list.

Consider each one you accomplished a win. Do the same or others the next day. Find things you intend to do and follow through. Celebrate each one you do. Appreciate yourself and pat yourself on the back. Gift yourself is a small, healthy, positive way. Hooray!

Each day decide to do something. Go to store. Buy bread. Cook Dinner. Wash plates. Make the bed and consider them wins. While this may not seem significant, at first, it is. You are recoding or reeducating yourself as to what winning means. Understand?

Education Isn’t Learning Facts But Training The Mind To Think

Your definition of winning and the stories you tell have prevented  you from feeling like a winner. We want to give you that feeling and numerous examples so you learn to feel like you can and do win. You need to feel that what you do matters and moves you forward.

Each day you, and I, engage in countless mindless tasks we had to learn to do. We do them so well,  unconsciously, we never consider them as significant or as wins or as positive. They are! Because you can do these you can learn to do anything you need to. You can!

You can learn to make your dreams come true. Get it?  Don’t let any excuse stop you. Find a way to move beyond what stops you. Begin with baby steps to help you reframe and redirect your thoughts. Affirm or ask Directed Questions™ for new ways of thinking.

Winners Never Make Excuses – They Make Results

When you think differently (positive) you will feel differently (positive) . As you feel differently (positive) you will take positive action steps and behave more positive. The results you start getting will be positive too. This is how you begin to change yourself.

This is how you begin to change your circumstances and evolve yourself into the person you want to be. You think you are a winner more frequently, you feel more like a winner, you behave more like a winner and begin to get winner results so you tell a new story.

Your story leads to more thinking, feeling and behaving and getting results which adds to your story. Soon you think, feel and act like a winner because you already are. You have reconditioned yourself to be a winner and to follow through on what you say you will do.

Believe In Your Ability To Succeed And The More Likely You Will

What began as baby steps gradually gets a bit larger. Never bite off more than you can chew. Keep it simple and easy and gradually challenge yourself. Keep the winner feeling. The more you think and feel like a winner the more you will actually begin to win.

Birds of a feather flock together. You attract other winners to you because you are one of them. Your attitude determines you altitude! How you approach tasks and opportunity can change for the positive because you have. Your RAS looks for positive matches.

It looks for opportunities. You become more aware of them so you can take advantage of them. You trained and conditioned yourself for success. YOU did it so you can pat yourself on the back. It wasn’t luck. No on else could do it for you. You had to so count it as a win!

Success Belongs To Those Who Dare To Achieve It – Begin Today

Mental success conditioning works as long as you apply yourself and continue the process. It isn’t a magic bullet. It is a sound, scientific, systematic approach to being, doing and having what you want in life. It is a method for a healthy attitude and outlook like exercise.

Just as exercise and proper nutrition requires follow through and dedication mental conditioning does too.  Start small, gradually increase. Go slow and be patient. Set intentions and keep them. Acknowledge and celebrate when you do. Repeat daily. Feel grateful and express gratitude. You can do this! Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

If Your Want To Succeed And Be Happy You Must Learn How To Direct Your Mind

“If you haven’t yet mastered the art of affirmations this post is important for you to read. Some people can’t make them work because they just can’t seem to find an affirmation they are willing to believe and use. Remember, finding the sweet spot is critical.

To get good or great results with affirmations you need to emotionalize them and believe them. Remember, you want to make declarative statements you believe are possible and that you can and will make happen. If you feel bad or don’t believe it takes longer.

The sweet spot is affirming some goal or desired outcome that is big enough to provide a stretch but not so big you don’t believe it possible. You can always work up to the big, big, one, one step at the time. Anything is possible if you believe it is. It all works. it does!

If You Think You Can Or You Think Your Can’t You Are Right

You just have to know how to make it work and work it. Some people never figure it out and give up. Your big goal is at the top of the ladder. You don’t believe it is possible currently. So you make minor goals, like rungs on a ladder, that help you get there step by step.

If you still can’t figure that out the there are alternatives.  MyDirected Questions™ is powerful and fabulous whether or not you use affirmations. Questions direct what the brain pays attention to. You use wonder, curiosity of fascination to affirm what you want.

You begin to wonder how soon, at some point, you will find yourself delighted, to make 100 million dollars, and how incredible it will feel to make awesome discoveries along the way. You inch your way to it by getting really curious. You ask open ended questions.

Whatever You Can Conceive And Believe You Can Achieve

You don’t draw a line in the sand and say ‘I am this’ instead you consider how quickly and easily you can begin to find yourself delighting in doing those things that get you closer to making 100 million. You ask how soon you can find yourself feeling this?

‘How incredible can I feel as I begin the process of finding new ways to bring more money into my life.’ You don’t know the answer to that. You didn’t ask ‘will you’ or ‘won’t you’ or affirm you are or aren’t. You asked how good can you feel as something occurs.

You don’t know the answer to that question. Your brain has to look for an answer or multiple answers. It won’t stop with one answer, because it works by finding many. That is just what it does. So in using Directed Questions™ you work with how the brain works.

Imagine With You Mind – Believe With Your Heart …

You don’t ask, ‘will I make’ or ‘can I make’ 100 million dollars (although you could answer yes to this) you ask, ‘how delighted will I be to discover myself on the path to making 100 million dollars?’ or ‘what are the first steps I will amaze myself in doing that help me…’

You entertain the idea while asking questions around the idea. You don’t go at it directly but you direct your mind to look for answers and solutions and open yourself up to them along the way. You utilize what is called ‘Transderivational Search’. Search – get it?

TS means your brain continues to look for and find answers even after you stop asking. It seeks outside your awareness. Just as your Reticular Activating System (RAS) finds matches and associations for examples or memories you elicit your brain seeks answers.

… Achieve With Your Might – You Can Do Make It Happen

If you ask, what is the capitol of Arizona? Your brain doesn’t need to progress further than the answer. If you ask, ‘in how many different ways can I feel delighted while working on making 100 million’? your brain doesn’t know so it doesn’t know to stop. It keeps looking.

That is what you want it to do. Generate as many positive ways you can feel delighted while going after your goal. The result you want is two fold; the positive feelings and the numerous possibilities you generate. Now your brain works for you and there is no resistance.

You haven’t drawn a line in the sand. You have asked an engaging question that entertains and hooks the brain or mind to search for you. If you ask ‘why am I so stupid’ you will get numerous examples. If you ask ‘why am I so brilliant’ you will get numerous examples.

The Wise Person Doesn’t Give The Right Answers …

We already are using questions to direct our mind but most people don’t have the good taste to ask ones that make them feel better and accomplish more things easily. We have been conditioned to ask ‘what is wrong’ or ‘why I am I such a putz’ type questions.

At first, you may find it easier to get back one type of answer than the other, or you may find you get a negative answer more quickly, because you have asked these kind of questions from habit. Those neural pathways are well traveled. Well, they are, aren’t they?

Ask better, different positive ones and it may seem a little sluggish. The reason for this is your habits have been negative. It will still work in powerful and incredible ways but you need to develop the habit of asking powerful, positive, directed questions. Get it?

... The Wise Person Asks The Right Questions – Direct Your Mind

‘I don’t know how soon it will be before I make 100 million dollars but how much fun can I discover exploring the many different positive opportunities all along the way that help me to feel excited and filled with joy? How quickly and easily can I feel wonderful?’

Get it. Don’t be stuck. Start moving forward easily and effortlessly. ‘How delighted will I be to discover the many different ways I will make my dream come true all along the way? How much fun and enthusiasm can I feel each day as I consider this?

‘How much delight and enthusiasm can I begin to more fully feel as I take actions steps toward getting what I want? Even though I am not sure how to do it how quickly in how many different wonderful ways could I begin to find myself feeling amazed and delighted?’

Knowledge Is Having An Answer …

‘In how many different ways can I discover myself asking questions and making positive changes that bring me more of what I want? Remember, direct your mind to get what it is you want while describing how you want to get there is the key. Have fun!

Edison didn’t know how to make a working light bulb until after he made a working light bulb. The Wright brothers didn’t know how to fly an airplane until they flew one. Once they did it they knew how to do it and repeat it. Until they they were experimenting.

You will be experimenting too until you get your goal. Once you claim it you will be able to look back and see how you did it. SO stay open. Be available to everything. Stay positive and never lose faith and never give up. Keep pursuing and maintaining a positive frame.

… Intelligence Is Asking The Right Questions – Direct Your Mind

Keep your mind positive and aimed at making it happen and you can accomplish great things. AS you move forward you will become aware of other things you can think and do. You will adjust and adapt along the way. Just as a baby begins with baby steps, so can you.

Believe you can! If you don’t, yet, that may be the first area you want to work on. Get it? Of course you do and if not yet, you will. Direct your mind in positive ways. No one will do it for you. You have to do it if you want to enjoy the results. So do it. Have fun. Be grateful!

Feel positive and enthused. Feel wonder, enjoyment and curiosity as you ask your questions. Become like little child. Get really curious! Become fascinated. Explore and you will discover how easy it is. As you do enjoy, delight and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

“Your brain doesn’t know positive from negative. You do, a part of you does,  but a large portion of you doesn’t. It doesn’t know good from bad or a million dollars from a penny. You subconscious knows threats to your safety, and habits. It operates the same continuously.

It doesn’t know the difference between a perceived threat or a real one. It only knows threats. It could be likened to a machine or a shark. It does what it does and is ongoing. It has some basic instinctual programming, keep the human alive. Its conditioning

Evolution or or a creator or both built in a survival mechanism, which causes, fear, flight, freeze or fight. This topic we will save for another time. I have mentioned it in previous posts. It works brilliantly. It did from the dawn of human time through to today.

What You Think You Become – You Get What You Focus On

Today, however, few of us, at fewer times, encounter the real life physical threat of danger. Some of us do for certain, but we live in a modern world. Our brain doesn’t know that yet. So it doesn’t recognize the difference between a perceived threat and a real one.

It just doesn’t. It evolved or was designed to act quick. Now days, our threats tend to be emotional and/or perceived threats to our safety. Still out brain responds as it did years ago. We may be scared of meeting someone so we freeze or we flee. We feel afraid WHAM!

The brain kicks in. Your spouse argues with you. You feel threatened and you fight! Instantly, the body responds for fighting. Adrenaline pumps, we turn red, get hot etc., etc., etc. Our brain works to keep us alive by squirting chemicals to make us act in certain ways quickly!

You Attract What You Feel – What You Imagine You Create

Positive and negative are the domain of the conscious mind. Your developed the habit of smoking, biting your nails, drinking, over eating, being afraid of meeting new people and you decide you want to change it, your brain feels threatened. The status quo is changing.

It does everything it can to keep you the same. That is the job it has. It doesn’t care if you smoke or what you smoke. If it is a habit it will endeavor to keep you doing it. That is why to change behaviors you must learn new habits. You re-condition yourself to new behavior.

Your brain doesn’t know the difference between an imagined image and a real image. So when you visualize your brain and body respond squirting chemicals. You are afraid to talk in front of others and make internal images of being embarrassed. Your brain reacts.

You Can’t Have A Better Tomorrow Thinking About Yesterday

It pumps chemicals in you. You freeze or want to flee. Over time you become habituated to not talking and the feelings of fear when you think about it. To change you need to re-condition yourself to new habits. You need to learn new ways of behaving as you would like.

Your brain doesn’t know the difference between one penny and one million dollars. It doesn’t know or care. You do. Your brain will respond to what you care about because when you are filled with emotions your brain takes notice. Especially the fearful ones.

However, it takes notice of really positive, cheerful ones too. Strong emotion signals the brain to pay attention and respond. This is why when we are worried about things, people, events, circumstances, bills, and more we seem to keep perpetuating them.

When You Feel Alive, Vital, Wealthy You Attract More Of These

The brain reinforces and reacts to the strong emotion. The Reticular Activating System that scouts for danger also finds internal and external matches for what you are experiencing. If you feel afraid it provides you with more to fear, in associations or memories.

So, if you say to yourself, ‘I am such a klutz’, your brain finds more times when you behaved that way. If you say,’I am so stupid’, your brain has examples ready for you. If you say, ‘I’ll never get out of debt’ your brain will reenforce difficulty and failure or debt.

It isn’t really working against you it is working FOR you! It thinks that is what you want. It doesn’t know any better it just does what it is conditioned to do. It is a loyal, reliable, consistent servant and it is reacting in the only way it knows how. So if you want to change it…

Be The Energy You Want More Of – Be It And You Will Attract It

Here is what you must do. ‘I found thirty five cents today! Hooray! How incredible. WoW! I love finding money. Fantastic! Yes, Yes YES!!’ And do a happy dance. Celebrate. Make a big positive emotional deal about it. Have fun. Sing, skip, dance! Enjoy! Enjoy!

Make a big deal about what you want more of! Really celebrate. All it knows is you are thrilled with finding money. It isn’t concerned with the amount. It just notes the feelings! Because you are thrilled it gets the signal to find more money. It begins looking for matches.

I did this today! I found 35 cents while looking for something in my car. I celebrate. I celebrate finding a penny. When good things happen make a big deal about them. Delight in everything! Have fun. Even if it never worked you had a happy moment. BUT it does work!

Happiness Is A Conscious Choice – Not An Automatic Response

It is the same process that you already use when you get mad and fearful, but in reverse. We switch from the dark side to the ‘force’ side to create or attract more of what we want. Whatever you want more of in life, focus on it and feel fantastic about it. You will get it.

You get whatever you focus on and feel most strongly about anyway. So make sure you use good taste and aim it toward those things that improve you and your life. Focus on finding more love, joy and happiness. Find more good will and opportunity. Friendship and fun!

Celebrate and make a big deal. That is why gratitude plays such an important role in opening the doorway for more. Your RAS finds matches for what you most strongly pay attention to and feel strongly about. So imagine it, visualize what you want and feel great!

Your Positive Energy Vibrations Is What Attracts Things To You

This is how you begin to easily recondition yourself. Sometimes change is instant. Sometimes it takes awhile. Celebrate all of it. Be grateful and glad for the little changes. Exaggerate and delight in them and you will find yourself having more. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Imagine What You Could Do If You Were God: Try This!

“Do you like to pretend? Actors do. Actors pretend for wages or they pretend for fun. I like to pretend, too. Yes, I am an actor, but beyond that I enjoy pretending. I pretend I am great at things I want to master. I pretend there are answers when there may not be.

I don’t care. I pretend. It helps me navigate the world. I pretend I am god. Yup, god. The big one. Now, I don’t mean no disrespect or nuttin’. I ain’t trying to usurp da big guys role. I just mean I act as if I were god. I think, ‘What would I do?’  What would I have done?’

I pretend I am god and every single person I meet during this lifetime I placed in my life to teach me to be a better me. Every last one of them from the briefest encounter to the most lengthy, unending, excruciatingly painful ones. All of them! I chose just for me. I did!

The Only Difference Between You And God … 

They are a blessing. These people are opportunities to help me grow. Whether through bliss or through challenge I – god – put them there for me to encounter and learn from. Sometimes, I have had incredible struggles with these blessed ones. Do you know why?

Because I am a -god – with an incredible sense of humor. I decided to put all these people there for me to learn and grow from. I put them there as opportunities and blessings. AND then, are YOU ready for this? AND THEN I gave myself amnesia for all of it. I Forgot it all!

So this lifetime I get to discover who I am and why I am here; Who these are people are for me, THEY help me evolve, and help me remember who I actually am. They are here to remind me through a myriad of ways that I am a divine presence pretending to be human.

… You Have Forgotten You Are Divine

I am pretending to be a meat sack of bones with everyday life issues that for some reason I take far too seriously. Why? I don’t know. Perhaps, it is because I can’t yet see the bigger scheme of things because I forgot. I forgot it is all a divine game I am playing. I forgot!

It is my game. I invented it. I added the rules and the players. I create situations and events all designed to help me grow by becoming aware of who I am and what a blessing each of these others are. AND that all circumstances, no matter what, are blessings too.

I like to pretend this because it makes each day much more fun, far less stressful and I learn so much more about me and my place in the world. It helps me create or manifest with glee and attract more cool things into my life. I stop judging and let go far more frequently.

Difficult People Are The Greatest Teachers

It is easier to understand when someone else is ‘MAKING MY LIFE UNBEARABLE!!!’ how it is my projections on their behaviors. Life is, after all, what we make it. What we think about we bring about. I much prefer to pretend that all the ‘bad’ is actually good.

It doesn’t have to be that way in reality but these mind frames make life so much more fun and interesting. They allow me so much room to grow, to fall, to get back up and to remember, ‘hey I am divine’. We all are. We are all made of the same stardust. We are all one species.

The toughest person is my biggest blessing because they inspire me to grow the most. The ones who never let up continue to remind me to grow, grow, grow. That is as long as I remember that I am pretending that is why they are in my life. They are here to help me.

Experience The Most Brutal Of Teachers – But My God You Learn

I like pretending. How about you? I like real gratitude. I like to feel the feelings being thankful bring me. I like finding all the blessings there are, and then discovering some new ones and some old ones I may have missed. How about you? I say, celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

You Day Depends On This! But Are You Doing It?

“How do you feel during your day? How does it go for you? Are you happy, energized, positive and productive or much less than you’d like to be. Would you like to maximize your day? Would you like to  feel better and get more done? How you start it determines all.

From the moment you wake up your day is set. How you wake up is determined by how you go to sleep. Your closing moments of the day impact the opening moments of your day. If you don’t know this it is time to learn. Make some changes and enjoy your day more.

Go to sleep relaxed and peaceful. Do not go to bed disturbed or angry. Take time to let go, forgive, relax and shift your focus and your energy. Review your day for the positive, happy moments. Preview your next day. Set intentions, determine to delight and enjoy it.

Awake Feeling Blessed And Grateful – Filled With Enthusiasm

Your last thoughts are important. Find love, peace, and appreciation. Focus on gratitude and that which delights you. Focus you energy on love and thankfulness. Make your gratitude list. Pick a positive word or mantra to gently and quietly recite or think on as you drift off.

Allow yourself to go to sleep feeling wonderful. Close your day well and the next one can open well. You will sleep and dream better as you learn to do these things and make them habits. Closing and opening rituals help ensure you maximize each moment.

Upon awakening your first thoughts set the tone for the day. If you wake up thinking, ‘wow, today is going to be wonderful’ you day goes much different than, ‘crap I have to get up. I hate going to work’. Realize you first thought is important. It makes a difference.

Vow To Live Each Moment Fully – Commit To Your Excellence

This is why closing out your day well is critical. You want to wake up thinking and feeling your finest. You can close or open your day with positive statements or affirmations. You can visualize how you want things to go. You can visualize your goals. Meditation works well.

Wake up thinking positive thoughts. Stretch, get out the kinks, breathe and get centered. Take a moment to feel balanced. Stand up, and recite your affirmations with enthusiasm. Set your positive intentions for the day. Feel grateful and think on these things.

What you eat and drink has an impact. If you eat something fresh, alive and nutritional you feel better than eating something processed filled with sugar, salt, preservatives and chemicals. Choose wisely. Get your body going with good energy.

Can’t Sleep – Lie There And Imagine Perfect Positive Scenarios

Your mind and body determine how you feel. Make habits of those things that make you feel and operate at your best. Don’t wake up thinking, ‘crap the weather sucks’ or ‘I have to face traffic now.’ Control your first thoughts! Choose wonderful first thoughts!

How you do one thing is how you do everything. You are a reflection of your habits. If you want a wonderful day realize it depends on you and what you think and do. It isn’t haphazard. It doesn’t depend on others or the world as most people think. It depends on you.

Find you positive purpose and positive energy and focus on these throughout the day. If things come up that would have disturbed you learn to let these go to. You can handle anything with the right mindset and feelings of resourcefulness. Practice, practice, practice.

At Sleep – Let Go Forgive – Feel Peaceful – Thankful – Positive

You’ll do better if you begin and end your day better. The bookends help determine how you go through the middle. As you practice and set rituals and habits you will notice how much more enjoyment you can and will have. Be thankful. Delight in it and learn to celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Declare: I Am And Become It!

“I am’ is a spoken word. I am is the image you see. I am are the feelings you feel. I am is a combination of your pictures your words and your feelings. I am makes the declaration powerful. As a man thinks in his heart so shall he be.

A negative thought is any thought that isn’t positive. It doesn’t have to be strongly negative it can just be one of the daily din of thoughts that rule our lives moment to moment. The petty annoyances and aggravations.  Not the major ones. Just NOT positive IS negative.

It  can be the dislike for doing certain tasks. It is the grumbling . We cannot excel when we have a low current of negative energy ruling everything we do. We must move into feeling wonderful and celebratory. We must feel good most of the time. Atlas 80/20.

When You Blame You Give Up Your Power To Change – Feel It

Feel great. Decide what you want and how you want to live. Decide who you are. Decide what you will become. Determine to be it, to do it, and to have it. Declare it. Decide it is yours and there is no question about it. Master your mind. Think intentionally!

Strong emotions drive everything. When we are upset and angry we are creating less than glorious circumstances from our raging energy. Change it. Stop it. Create from your positive energy things you want. Be your future you right now. Live the future here today!

When we feel joy mostly, and not just ok, things begin to transform! Be filled with joy and enthusiasm. Get exited and become eager for good things to happen. Declare, ‘unexpected good always comes my way!’ See it! Feel it. Anticipate it! Delight in it! Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

To Get What You Want Learn To Accept The Timing Of The Universe

“You can’t push a rope. You can’t be two places at once. You can’t turn back the clock. You can’t advance the clock. You can’t step into the same river twice. You can’t hurry mother nature. Accept it. Give in. Go with the flow. Stop insisting the flow goes with you.

The universe has its own time. When you plant a seed you have to wait until it germinates, breaks the soil, and bears fruit. That is the natural progression of things. Plant, wait and harvest. When it rains you wait for it to stop. When it doesn’t rain you wait for it to start.

An aspect of manifesting what you want is being open and ready to receive. Receive what is there for you. Be willing for it to arrive however it arrives. Be willing to receive it WHEN it shows up. In the mean time wait expectantly and enthusiastically. Don’t force when.

Trust That You Will Have Everything You Need When You Need It

When it happens is when it happens. Where you are is where you are. You don’t know what you don’t know. You are in the right place right now whether or not you realize it. Most don’t, or won’t. Hence, they miss opportunities that are plentiful and immediate.

Right here, right now, is incredible opportunity. How and when and where it shows up for you is determined by you, and your thoughts and attitude. Do your part and wait. How you wait determines how long you wait. Let go and enjoy. Be patient. Allow.

I love the freeway mediation I have described numerous times in these blog pages. You are right there in the middle of traffic. It does whatever it does. You either go with it or you resist it. Whichever you do determines the kind of experience you have.

Trust The Timing Of Your Life – Trust The Timing Of The Universe

Pleasant or unpleasant it is all up to you. Act. Wait. Enjoy! I’m not suggesting you do nothing while waiting. I am suggesting ‘how’ you wait determines what and when you get what you are seeking. Let go of your agenda and be open to a greater one. Do you get it?

Celebrate the universe. Celebrate that everything happens when it happens. Yes, work to make it happen but let go of the outcome. Let go of how it shows up. Pursue and be ready to receive. Commit 100% and know it will happen. How and when no one really knows.

It just will! Certainty, trust, faith, optimism, positivity all work together. Gratitude for what you have been through, what you have and what you will have is important. Living in appreciation opens doors for more. It opens your mind and heart  to receive. So receive. Delight in all. Be thankful. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
