How To End Your Suffering

“To really transform yourself and go beyond what you already know you must at some time discover, and become aware, that what IS is what it IS . There is no other way. There are no alternatives. It couldn’t have gone otherwise. It is as it is. Accept this. It is as it is.

Your opinion, your thoughts, your beliefs of how it could, or should, be keep you trapped. The monkey mind jumps from possibility to possibility endlessly trying to solve it. It can’t! You need to transcend the monkey mind. Learn to control it and learn to transcend it.

Your mind thinks, ‘if only’. You mind thinks it would have been better this way or that way, but that isn’t what is. You get caught up emotionally in an opinion of what you think should be. It isn’t. You need to get over it. Drop what isn’t and accept what is! It is as it is.

Gratitude Unlocks The Fullness Of Life – Discover Gratitude

What else is there but what is? It doesn’t matter if it could have been different, it isn’t. So, there is nothing else but what is right now. This moment. You have a choice. Accept what is and move on, or continue to wish it otherwise, stay stuck, and suffer. Learn to let go. Allow.

Everything that IS is a blessing! We either enjoy it, grow stronger, learn from it, and change.  It is all is good. When you can come to this realization, and live from this freedom, suffering ends. When everything is a blessing then you are free to be happy. Get it?

Nothing you do inside your head, or your efforts, are going to bring a moment back. Yes, you think you can. That is where you are mistaken. Accept what is and move on. This doesn’t mean you can’t i work to alter things, but it comes from a certain place. or mindset.

To Accept Is To Say Yes To Life In Its Entirety – Accept All Say Yes

Instead of being caught in an opinion, instead of feeling and thinking negative, accept it as it is, accept your efforts and let go of dictating the results. You allow the results of your efforts. If it works out, great. If it doesn’t work out, great. All is good. It is as it is. Get it?

If you wish to continue to work for results you continue without being wedded to the conclusion. You stop suffering.  You act, you behave, you think and feel from an incredible place of freedom and celebration. You move forward positively. You accept and allow.

The enlightened person can act for change while accepting all as it is. It does not mean s/he doesn’t do anything. If that were the case, what would be the point of enlightenment? Change happens. Accept it. Act for change, while free of judgement. Be open and aware. It is.

You Are Free The Moment Judgement Stops Through Acceptance

Everything works together for good ultimately. When you know this you know all ‘trials’ all obstacles and circumstances, all ‘negative’ people are what is. It is life as it is. Accept it or not. It’s your choice. What you decide determines your bliss. Consider everything a blessing and you are free and happy. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Now Is All You Have

“What is IS. This present, this moment, is all we actually have. Yet, we spend our time elsewhere in our minds. Stop. Take a deep breath. Drop into now. Get present. Feel here. Stop running to the past or the future. Become aware of this instant. Let go of the mind.

Your mind wants to go in any direction. That is only because that is how it has been. Had you been brought up focusing on now it would be different. But if you are like most people, you weren’t. Get over it. Now is the time. Now is the opportunity. Begin to watch the mind.

Meditate. Focus. Look at a tea light, or a candle. Stay with it. Breath. Notice your mind’s tendency to go elsewhere. That is okay. That is what it does. Gently bring your mind back to the light. Focus. Breath. Notice the mind has gone off again. That is okay. Gently bring it back.

Let Go – Focus – Be Aware – Gently Bring The Mind Back To Now

That is the dance. That’ s important. Notice, observe, be aware, be gentle and bring the mind back. Be positive. Be optimistic. Be loving and bring the mind back. With practice you’ll be able to increase your length of focus. You’ll be able to bring the mind back.

As you do you’ll begin to drop more and more into now. You’ll begin to notice the moment expand. You will start to find the bliss of now. Allow yourself to bask. For the moment there is no other place to be. Everything takes care of itself. In the moment do whatever you do.

Take care of what ever tasks you take care of. Simply do it with the awareness of now. Let go of struggle. Let go of thinking about it. Simply do it. What may at first seem difficult becomes more natural and easy through dedicated practice. If you want it you’ll do it.

Become Aware – Discover – Relax – Focus – Celebrate – Now

As you do you will notice that bliss arises. Celebrate it. Allow it. Discover it. Relax into it. Feel it. Everything is a blessing. Every moment, no matter what is, without judgement. You can be free. You can be aware. You can celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

How To Powerfully Deal With Negative People And Circumstances

“I think everyone is who they are. People are who they are choosing to be, whether aware of that or not.  It is up to each of us to learn the lessons available to us by choosing to be around them and interact with them. Whether they are nice or not, it is what it is. A choice.

Lessons abound, whether we consciously realize the opportunity or not. As the saying goes, ‘the kite rises highest against the wind.’ People who push our buttons are actually blessings for us. We have the opportunity to become aware and release that which triggers us.

Are their people you may wish to avoid? Sure.There is nothing wrong in wanting to protect oneself and protect one’s energy. What you choose is what you choose. Accept responsibility for your choices without blaming yourself, or anyone, complaining or excusing.

I Am Choosing This – I Am Choosing This – I Am Choosing This

Are there people who exude one form of energy over another? Yes but again, there is a learning, a blessing and opportunity in resistance. Resistance makes your muscles grow. It makes you transform and evolve when you willingly to allow it to. Get it?

There is learning and blessing and opportunity in being challenged by people and circumstances. This is why I say, whenever I am confronted by people or circumstances,  ‘I am choosing this’. Being with this person or this circumstance IS my choice for the moment.

I choose to go through this and learn whatever it is I need to learn. I don’t know how it will work out, but I know it will work out for the best. I turn my attention away from the person or circumstances to what I need to learn to be a better person. I let go of all else.

Your Power Is In Your Awareness And In Your Choices – Focus

I attempt not to make gospel my beliefs and choices. I try not to act as if some authority dictates anything I think or say or do is ‘true’ but rather, it is useful for transformation and moving into higher realms. Opportunities are tools for change. I utilize them. You can too!

Consider that the enlightened individual is forever dealing with the unenlightened all the time. The unlenlightened surround the enlightened person. The saint is forever dealing with the non-saint. It is what it is. It all is a matter of labeling, judging and perception.

If you don’t call it a problem, it isn’t one. The situation still exists but it is however you perceive it and whatever you define it as. Get it? All your problems are YOUR problems. They are of your own making even if they come from the outside. Examine your perceptions.

Speak Only To Bless Heal Prosper Inspire And Motivate

Face your beliefs and your filters. Problems are the result of you calling it that. If you called it something else, you could think about it and respond to it differently. If you called it an opportunity or blessing you’d think and feel differently about it.  Get it?

If you honestly called a major disappointment a mere annoyance you would not be affected by a major disappointment. You could and most likely would feel differently and handle it differently. Everything is what you say it is, when you think about it. Get this!

It’s what you think about it, consider it, and believe it to be. Your thoughts, reaction, judgement or response keeps you trapped or brings you freedom. It is completely up to you whether or not it is a problem, whether it’s a circumstance or person you’re dealing with.

It Is What You Say It Is – What You Say It Is – Is What You Get

Perceive everything as a lesson! If everything is good and it’s an opportunity you may not have discovered, yet, but could if you looked, you would have a different experience. If you believe it to be a blessing and are grateful for it, your life would be different.

You’d be free. You’d be more resourceful. You’d vibe higher. You’d have  every reason to celebrate and delight in all. You’d live from a higher source, a higher power. You can do this! You can transform yourself by learning to celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

To Get Stellar Results Discover Your Power Is To Choose!

My life transformed. Part 5. I learned that regardless of what was going on I could decide how to feel and think about it. I was the one in charge. Just be cause bad things happened I didn’t have to chose to be unhappy. I had lived that way for years, without choice.

Now, I began to exercise my choices. When I became the person who chose what to think and feel, everything changed for me. I was clearer in my thinking, I enjoyed each moment more. I found more delight in simple things. I felt better. I was open to more things.

I discovered opportunities I might not have otherwise. I met new people and engaged in new activities. It was as if a whole new world opened up. It was absolutely worth it to begin this process. It is a journey. Beginning it changed everything. It kept getting better!

Imagination Is More Important Than Knowledge

It all begins with awareness and choice. I became aware that things weren’t working, that they hadn’t been working, and decided I needed to change. I chose to implement a daily ritual which was centered on awareness, choice and shifting from neg to positive.

Everything begins this way. There is magnificent power in becoming aware and making a decision. A decision is a choice I committed to making work. I decided, do or die, I would do this and see it through. In that instant everything began changing. And keeps getting better.

Everything has changed for the better. Speed bumps along the way have been blessings because I chose to look at them this way. As I did I noticed things I would have never noticed and became capable of living in ways I never ever had before. It became glorious. Freeing!

What You Can Conceive And Believe You Can Achieve

Anyone can do this. Anyone, even you, can begin right now! I’ll share more next time, but realize to not decide, is to already have made a decision. Choose life over death. Choose positivity over negativity. Choose awareness. Choose to take control and make your life grand!

Everything changes and gets better and better when you do. Choose to look at everything as a blessing. Choose to find the lesson and opportunity in adversity. Choose to realize all hardship is only temporary. Choose to find the good. Choose to celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Live Without Desire! Let Go Of Attachments: Be Free

“Most people do not understand what non-attachment is or means. You do NOT have to give anything up, give anything away or be austere to live without attachment. One may pursue goals, dreams, fame and riches while being unattached. You do without attachment.

Many ‘meditators’ miss the point and seek to be unattached. They want no-attachment as much as others want anything. They desire to be un-attached. They miss and are attached to being unattached. To live in non-attachment is to celebrate everything. Be carefree!

Simply recognize that what is, is. Accept it. What is, is and celebrate it.  Be grateful. Live in appreciation. Live this moment! Live without judgement and comparison. Suffering comes from comparing with others, or comparing  where you are to where you want to be.

The Root Of Suffering Is Attachment – Let Go – Be Free 

Stop comparing. Start celebrating where you are right now. Be glad. You are on a journey. It doesn’t matter where you are on the journey, unless of course you make where you are important. If you do that you suffer. When you stop comparing you can find bliss. Blessings!

You can go with the flow in a canoe and still steer the canoe. It doesn’t mean you helplessly drift. You act but whatever the outcome, is the outcome. You understand that. You can adjust and continue. You simply are not emotionally attached to the outcome.

All is good. All is learning. Anything is possible. Celebrate it! We don’t know what comes next. So stay open for whatever might come. You might fear the worst and it could be far better than you imagine. You just don’t know. So stop thinking you do. Let it all go and be!

You Get There By Realizing You Are Already There

We don’t know what we don’t know. It isn’t over until it is over. So don’t render a judgement about whether the outcome is good or bad. It simply is. Get it? Everything is a blessing. Everything is an opportunity. We don’t know how things will unfold so there is no reason to get upset. Let it go. Be grateful and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Are You Willing To Create A Possibility That Can End Your Suffering And Revolutionize Your Life?

A fellow friend shared this quote, which I too share, because I think is important: “After all, if you focus on the known, you get the known. If you focus on the unknown, you create a possibility.” Joe Dispenza

Whether or not you agree with this quote, or my my words regarding possibility, my point is, open the door to go beyond the known and into the unknown. We don’t know what we don’t know. Most of us never ever come to realize that important point!

Mostly, we assert that which we already know and then defend that. That doesn’t move us forward. The reason science can move forward is because science, hopefully, seeks to discover if what is possible. Benevolent science attempts to improve our lives and conditions.

Minds Are Like Parachutes – Must I Repeat The Rest…

Good science actually goes out of its way to prove something isn’t the case. If it can’t be disproved, it  is tacitly accept it as a possibility. A theory is only a description of how things may be. It is only a description, which gets replaced when a better one is arrived at.

Even science can be fraught with politics and deceit. That is why I used the words benevolent and good. Even some well meaning ‘good and benevolent’ scientists can become entrenched in dogma and forget the basic tenants and methodology. Anything is possible.

Anyone can have a closed mind and be dismissive. It takes rigor and discipline to maintain an open mind to look for answers even in the ridiculous. Kudos to those who do and who pave the way for future thought and action! Stay open. Discover what is possible and likely!

If You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

Create possibility for yourself. Always expect, believe and know that something good is going to happen. Realize that in your darkest hour all things pass and give way. Things change. A new day is coming. Create the possibility to be, do and have whatever you desire.

Consider everything a blessing and it will be. Life is glorious when you don’t hold onto what hurts you. Life is incredible when one let’s go of resistance. If a door closes another always opens. If you know where to look, you will find it. Keep the faith. Stay open to all good things. Anything is possible when you believe it to be. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

You Need A Positive Morning Ritual

“It is a wonderful practice to begin your day with an early morning meditation session. Upon awakening, before you are too awake, while still in the alpha state, it is easier to meditate. You are already relaxed, so it is the perfect time to spend time meditating.

A great beginning to the day starts while still in bed thinking and affirming, ‘I love my life.’ Reflect on what you are grateful for and aim on having an incredible day. Visualize your goals, look at your vision board or book, read some inspirational material and meditate.

Take time for yourself. Create a daily positive routine you engage in before doing anything else. Don’t check your phone or text or emails. Keep your mind focused on the positive and the optimistic. Think happy, serene, powerful thoughts that support you. Smile and laugh.

You Are And You Go Where Your Thoughts Take You 

Consider making this positive morning routine a habit as you would to build muscle. Condition yourself. Give yourself some positive nutrition prior to going to work, school or elsewhere. Make it a priority. Set yourself and your attitude right from the get go.

Delight. Spend 20, 30 or more minutes nurturing yourself. The benefits are incredible once you do it. Raise your consciousness. Raise your vibration! Feel incredible. Start the day with a positive charge. Discover your blessings. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

So Much Wasted Time David Cassidy’s Final Words

“‘So much wasted time.’ Those were the last words of pop star, idol David Cassidy. Sadly, David passed away at the age of 67. His daughter shared the family’s gratitude for the outpouring of love and condolences and his final words. Those are words to remember.

Stop wasting time and start living in a way that matters. Stop being distracted. Start living fully. Enjoy the moment. This moment is the only moment we have. The next is not guaranteed. Yes, we take the next moment for granted, but it is not assured. Live and love now!

Cassidy said earlier, in regards to why he stopped performing,  “I want to focus on what I am, who I am and how I’ve been without any distractions. I want to love. I want to enjoy life.” Without any distractions. Get that! Without distractions. WOW this is important.

Be Here Now – Be Here Now – Be Here Now – Be Here Now 

Nearly everything out there is either designed to be a distraction or IS a distraction. Social media, news, toys, bright shiny objects, gossips, phones, you name it, if it takes you away from this moment and living fully, by seeking something else, it is a distraction!

Katie Cassidy said, given her father’s last words, ‘This will be a daily reminder for me to share my gratitude with those I love as to never waste another minute….thank you.” It could be yours and my reminder too. Live now, Love now. Be now. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Stop Seeking Happiness For Happiness

 

“Sadly, people want to be happy. They think if they have another brighter, shinier object it will make them happy. If they get an award or a promotion they will somehow be better and consequently be happier. More of something elusive is what they think will work.

It doesn’t and it won’t. From most all reports through eons of time having more, or accomplishing, much isn’t the base of lasting or true happiness. So, what is if you can’t become happy this way? True happiness comes from a sense of being happiness right now.

Humans become dissatisfied with what they want. The shiny object becomes dull in time and so we want more. We seek something else to fulfill us. This becomes an endless pursuit. It seems we are only happy when we have something new and better to brag about.

You Are Where Your Thoughts Have Brought You

Since these feelings of satisfaction and happiness come and go, is there something one can do that is more permanent or longer lasting? Yes, is the answer. Start living in the present moment and appreciate what you already have. Be happy now. Right now!

Some people complain they don’t know how. That is because they have practiced being happy through accumulation. It is time to practice being happy for who you are and for what you have right now. Recognize the good in your life. Notice and become aware of it.

It is not just things. It is who you are and how you feel. It is the people in your life. It is the circumstances surrounding you. It is the moment right now. It is the beauty of the earth right now, today, that matters. Stop seeking and start being. That makes the difference.

The More We Do The More We Are Capable Of Doing

Stop wanting to be happy and start accepting the now. Look for the good in you and all around you. Discover that blessings abound. Stop putting off for tomorrow what you have today. Stop making your conception of happiness an ideal. It isn’t a thing to have. Get it?

Happiness isn’t some state you enter. Happiness is a process and a choice. You won’t always feel blissful. You don’t have to either. People get screwed up by their definitions of happiness. They miss it because of what they think it means and what it is. It is a thing!

Happiness is not the absence of everything else that isn’t happiness. Happiness is a process. It is a sense of well-being. It is contentment. Happiness is emphasizing the good. Energy flows where your attention goes. Stop pursuing a thing. Be in a process. Be in flow.

Skill Comes From Doing – Repetition Is The Mother Of Skill

The river isn’t static. It is moving, flowing. Life flows and changes. We feel differently from time to time. Happiness is a choice not a thing! It is a decision as to where you place your attention and what you determine to focus on. The goal is to feel the best you are able.

This doesn’t mean you always need to be amped up and a ten on the glee meter. It means you feel a bit better than a moment ago. If you are down and out you do whatever is necessary to feel a bit better. You move yourself in a more positive and optimistic direction.

Drop by drop the tub fills. It needn’t be now or never. All of life is process. Accept it. Tides come and go. Feelings ebb. Allow for changes while steering your boat in the river of life. Go with the current but steer away from the rocks. Navigate and enjoy.

You Get What You Focus On – What You Focus On Expands

The easiest way to be happy is to appreciate the moment. Feel grateful and accentuate the positive. You don’t ignore the negative or problems but you place them safely within context and don’t let them run you. You focus on what is good and delightful. Get it?

You choose to be bigger than any obstacle and you determine to live as a champion. You focus on what you can and will do. You focus on  that, which right now, is good. Fill your mind and being with wonder and awe and delight for what is YOU this moment! Tend to the beauty of the garden even while weeding it. Be happy and you will do and have more happiness. Stop Giving Your Mind Your Power And Your Rights Away!

“We live in confusing and chaotic times, according to some. We also live in very good and wonderful times. Elements counter and combat each other. The world has always had sunshine during great catastrophes. Both exist simultaneously.

There is no judgement until a human renders one!

All is good is a perception. All is bad is a perception. Judgements on both sides. As an individual we need to choose which we want to be our predominant mindset. This makes all the difference in how we experience life. If we don’t choose, we already have chosen.

We must come down on one side or the other. We can focus primarily on all that is good, while not ignoring the bad, we can work to create what we want. We don’t succumb to the bad but we focus our efforts on solutions and creating what we want instead.

Whether You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

We know we don’t want the bad so we work on creating what we do want. It is a simple concept. Some focus mostly on the bad and try to escape from the harm. They keep running from that which they don’t want. Sadly, they may not know where to run to. This is a problem.

This is why we utilize the bad, what we don’t want, to clarify the good and what we do want. We specify what we want and they work to accomplish it. We do so without blinders but we shift our attention away from what we don’t want TO what we do want!

This makes all the difference. Energy flows where attention goes. One gets exhausted running from the bad. One may get invigorated creating something beautiful. Where you focus and put your attention and energy determines what you get back and experience.

Energy Flows Where Attention Goes

Which do you want? Especially in these confusing days. We have so much hurled at us moment to  moment. Social media, news, our culture, our family and friends. We are constantly bombarded by distractions, negative thoughts, energy and activity all day long!

We seem to be lead by chaos and confusion. That is a principle way to divide and conquer. Half truths and lies perpetuated for effect.
Governments have ruled this way. It appears the way we are being led. It is time for people to wake up, seek accurate information.

Get accurate information when and where you can find it. Stop swallowing everything that happens in a news cycle. The instantaneous nature of our internet life is mind numbing and dulling. Learn to wait and see. Evaluate before swallowing.

What You Focus On Expands – You Get What You Think About

Stand up for yourself and your rights. Be vigilant. The great distraction is instant news. Just as it is instant text and phone calls. It is great you can be reached anytime and anywhere AND it also has a downside. How often are you distracted by your own phone.

Interruptions rule our day. Subliminal messages in songs, and shows and news and billboards. I don’t mean the nefarious kinds but those can be included. Learn to think and feel and act for yourself with the great good for all in mind too. We have become too selfish.

We are too self absorbed. If there are nefarious forces they will rule over us because we are too busy to notice our rights and privileges being stripped away. We are too  busy seeking after and obtaining the next shiny object. Like fish we are lured astray. Hooked!

Seek Accurate Information – Don’t Be Swayed By Opinion

Caught! Stop. Claim your mind back. Claim your life back. Help make the world better for yourself and your family and neighbors. So not be led astray. Lemmings follow lemmings right over the edge. Stop! Think, and act wisely! ACT!

Don’t be caught up in advertising and social media. Some of it is good. Some not good. Focus on what you want to build that is better while aware of what you want to avoid. Turn your focus to creating the best life and along the way celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
