Never Allow Yourself To Not Go For What You Want

“Everyone can pull them selves out of the mire. It doesn’t matter the decade, the country or the financial conditions. It may be tougher for some than others but if history has taught us anything it is that some people triumph and persevere no matter what. It is  possible to win!

The only thing that determines if someone will is the beliefs, expectations and motivation of that person. If you don’t believe it is possible, don’t expect to succeed and aren’t driven to even try, then you are bound to remain where you are. You’ll stay stuck as a victim.

If you decide you can and you will and are passionate about securing the results then you will work to make it happen. If you are driven to succeed and never give up then you may astound yourself at what you can accomplish. It is completely up to you not circumstances.

Whether  You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

One person’s meat is another’s poison.  You can do it if you attempt it. You can do it if you believe you can. You can do it if you don’t give up no matter the odds. If you want to change things then take charge and make things happen. Create opportunity for yourself. Get it?

One person’s floor is another person’s ceiling. Only you are the ultimate determinant as to whether you do it or not. If it is going to be it is completely up to you. If you don’t try it you will never know it.  Yes, you may work with others along the way but you must begin.

Start today. Decide to follow your dreams. Choose to make your goals come true. Determine to follow through positively until you get there. No one will carry you on the journey. You make the trek step by step. So be glad. It is in your hands. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

“A recent article validates what we already have known for centuries. Michael Merzenich research is shared in ‘How To Rewire Your Brain For Massive Success According To Neuroscience’. He points to five things we can do to help ourselves change.

Engage in brain aerobics means playing, chess, puzzles, crosswords and other activities and games that encourage thinking. Yes, it is important to stay fresh by challenging yourself. Memory games good too. What he neglects is the numerous physical activities that work.

Skip, sing, spin in circles, juggle, learn magic tricks with coins and cards. Do finger exercise, such as playing piano or violin. Handwrite with a pen. Fine finger movements help keep people spry and cogent. All of it works together. Do it. Move and use your fingers.

The More We Do The More We Become Capable Of Doing

Find fresh ideas. Study and learn new things. Agreed. It is important to learn and self improve. As you do you evolve yourself. Learn to think outside the box. Expose yourself to new ideas. Read lots. Challenge yourself. Learn new skills. Have fun learning. Self invest.

Envision the person you want to be. Amen! Spent time visualizing. From the dawn of human thinking the practice of visualizing has been encouraged. Use your imagination to set goals to be, do and have. See yourself as having attained them and how you did so.

Focus on your long term goals. Train your mind to be ahead by anticipating what you will gain by pursuing your goals. Absolutely! This is the ‘ACT AS IF’ principle and visualization activated. Plan for success and work the plan. Develop your inner success abilities

Visualizing Is Like Building Muscle We Get Stornger As We Do It

See the ups and downs and how you navigate to success in spite of obstacles or blocks. Develop contingency plans. You might want to visit my articles on how to properly visualize by searching this blog. Engage your mind by imagining success repeatedly. Do it!

Shift to an exponential mindset. The article states most people don’t know that shifting or changing one’s mindset could lead to significant growth. I say, this is due to the overwhelming amounts of propaganda we encounter growing up that claims we can’t.

We are taught to be limited in so many varying ways. Our parents, peers and friends, media and our culture promote, purposefully and inadvertently, that we are victims of circumstances, and powers outside of ourselves. We are not taught to take 100% responsibility.

You Go Where Your Thoughts Take You – Mindset Matters

I do like that the researcher points out you can accelerate your rate of change by thinking big, dreaming big, 10x bigger than most people think by anticipating the good things coming your way, and that even failure is all part of the process. Embrace all of it. The side effect is:

You end up being 10x more ahead and prepared for how things work out whether positive or not. The bottom line is your mindset matters. You can do a lot to be successful by how you use your mind. This notion and practice has been around for thousands of years.

I am glad science is reporting more validation for what we have known, and the positive practices people have been doing, for centuries. I am happy science verifies these things with renewed interest. There is rarely anything new to report.

Skill To Do Comes From Doing – Practice Practice Practice

It means that what we can do has been tested for about 6 thousand years. Modern versions that came from Hill, Holmes, Wattles and others have been based on these principles too. Hill’s work is responsible for more people becoming millionaires than any other single work. It is all good. Hope more people begin these practices and apply the principles to transform their lives. Distractions Take Their Toll On Your Mood And Well Being

“Distractions take their toll on your mood and well being according to research. Concentration on negative circumstances and problems only serves to dampen your spirit, cause you to potentially spiral down, and do little to help you change your circumstances.

What you focus on you get. Many people are negative thinkers.  Most focus on problems or are distracted by negative news stories and social media. Some who think positive do so for very little time during  the day. The preponderance of negativity is the problem.

‘In December, Facebook itself acknowledged that passive consumption of information — surfing shopping websites or reading news articles — is often bad for your mood. It gestured toward a 2015 paper in the Journal of Experimental Psychology that showed that passive usage of the website, even for just 10 minutes a day, had a negative effect on students’ sense of well-being.’  Quote from New York Times 1/12/18 by Bromwich & Haag

You Get What You Focus On – What You Focus On Expands

If you want to feel better limit your social media and media consumption. Eliminate gossip and negative talk about circumstances and problems. Focus on the good, the positive and what you are grateful for. Accentuate the positive more each day.

Shift the balance from mostly negative to mostly positive and you will begin to experience an incredible shift in your mood and overall well-being. You will begin to feel happier and healthier. It makes a massive difference when you manage you thoughts and feelings.

Your energy is a direct reflection of your attention. Focus on the good. Speak and pay attention only that which blesses, heals and helps you and others prosper, inspires and motivates. Eliminate the worry, fear, sadness and negativity by staying focused on positive.

Victims Rarely Win But Victors Champion!

“The major problem for most people is that people believe in magic. Magical thinking means attributing results to things outside oneself. They think ‘outer forces’ are affecting or effecting them. Luck, karma, the universe, government, parents and more are blamed.

When attribution is on things outside oneself, the person is a victim of the outer forces. Sadly, many would agree. Maybe, even many reading this. Perhaps, even you. That thinking will keep you struggling and striving. You need to take charge, not be a victim.

You need to be a victor. You need to control your mindset, your thoughts, feelings and actions. When you do, you’ll begin to get the result you intend to get. You make it happen instead of ‘it’ happening to you. People even misuse the Law of Attraction in this way.

If You Really Want To Do Something You Will Find A Way

Why the picture accompanying this post? Because that bail didn’t attract itself together. Karma, god, the universe didn’t bail the hay. Someone had to do it. The same is true with transforming your life. Take charge of yourself and your mindset. Do it today. It works!

Good News: Affirmations Work! Bad News: You Don’t Know What You Are Doing!

I addressed the reason some people have difficulty working with affirmations over thirty years ago in an article ‘ Why Affirmations Don’t Work’. I share these principles in my works, Directed Questions™, the Attitude Activator™ and Mind Design™ training.

I had the very same problem most people do. I was getting much of what I don’t want and not very much of what I did want. I would make declarative statements and then feel like I was lying.  I’d engage in a big inner fight with myself.I struggled for years.

Then I had a major crisis in my life. As a result I locked myself in my apartment and didn’t leave for six weeks, while I sat in a chair, reciting affirmations. It was during this time I discovered the key to making affirmations work for me. They can work for you, too!

You Get What You Think About Most Frequently 

Here’s an important principle you must understand. We are always, already, getting whatever we affirm, though some people mostly manifest crap. That is because they affirm and discuss crap most of the time. Don’t think of affirmations as something positive.

Think of affirmations as something you do. An affirmation is a declaration. You can declare positively or negatively! Most people are expert at negative affirmations. They declare, and repeatedly declare, or affirm, what they don’t want, or would prefer to exclude.

So, that is what they keep ending up with! You must understand this. Whatever you give your attention to, YOU are focused on AND, you are affirming. Your attention is energy and you are either pouring energy into the positive or you are pouring it into the negative.

You And Your Results Are Your Mindset – Attitude Matters

Most people, most of the time, are pouring their energy into the negative. They talk, share and discuss their problems. They get caught up in gossip, negative and bad news in their daily life and in the media. It consumes most of their daily thinking times.

If they aren’t negative they are distracted, watching mindless TV or reality shows, playing electronic games or more. Little time is spent energizing and attending to what they want to make happen other that to hope and wish things would somehow change.

Wishing and hoping won’t help! So little time is spent on the positive. So much time is on negative. It is little wonder why people’s lives often suck. The reason people don’t make it work right for themselves is because they focus on the positive in fleeting ways.

Whether You Think You Can Or You Can’t You Are Right

Then spend the most all of their moments on the negative. Their focus and energy is negative. They’re out of balance. Your thinking preponderance has to shift from the negative to the positive. You get back what you spend most of your time doing! You must get this.

You have to understand that your circumstance and results come from how you think, believe and perceive things. In order to get better results and positive circumstances you have to change what you have been doing. You have been affirming the problems!

Stop and shift. Change your focus. It does require that you take charge and be willing to do what it takes to gain control over your own thought process and your life. It is simple. It is not always easy at first, but it gets easier but you must start if you want to change.

The Mind Is As Strong As Its Weakest Think – Think Positive

A good practice, is gratitude. Finding the good and appreciating in everything. Looking and seeking to find. It won’t come to you, you have to do it. If you want YOUR life to change YOU have to change some things you are doing. Begin by celebrating everything!” Rex Sikes

Take Charge And Direct Your Mind Unless You Are A Coward

“The reason the world is as it is, is because people affirm and visualize the less than glorious more often than the glorious. Their focus is on the negative and what is wrong, more than it is on what is working and what is right. You get what you focus on. Truly!

If your life is less than glorious, where is your attention most of the time? Is it on how good things are? Is it on how incredible and powerful you are? Is it on what you can do to create your best life? OR, is your attention on problems, circumstances and distractions?

If most of the time you swim in a mental sewer, why would you expect anything to be any better? We create our experience by what we think, feel and do. We are responsible for our circumstances EVEN IF there are outer influences. You must get this principle!

What You Think About You Bring About – Focus Matters

Energy flows where attention goes. What you think about most frequently you bring about. You are a creator of good or bad things. If most of your circumstances are ‘bad’ then what on earth are you focused on most of the time? You need to examine this honestly!

Where is your attention and energy going? Are you inadvertently creating or perpetuating problems? Is your attention and energy helping keep everything the same? Do you realize you are part of the problem even if you don’t intend or want to be? Focus matters!

The world is as it is because of where people put their focus. What they focus on determines how they feel, how they behave and the results they get. If you want a better life and a better world you need to change whatever it is you are doing that has kept it the same.

Energy Flows Where Your Attention Goes – Mindset Matters

You must focus on the positive. You must shift from victim mentality to victor mentality. If you dismiss this as a silly notion most likely you will remain the same. You need to notice that it IS working whether you believe it or not. At least have the guts to investigate it yourself.

Change your thinking. Try it for 90 days. Really work on it. Give it time because you need it to get used to doing things a new way. Throw yourself into it. If it doesn’t matter, then you will have lost nothing in 90 days and may have discovered something important.

If you don’t attempt it, all I can say is, your loss. If everything is fantastic and you can’t make it, or imagine it, any better, then maybe you are doing things right. If not, perhaps you should try a new way to discover how much more incredible things can be. Find out!

The More You Do The More You Are Capable Of Doing

Don’t be afraid. You won’t lose anything. Have courage. Give it an honest and noble try. Nothing in your life will change unless you change things in your life. You must take action and responsibility for your experience. Take charge. It can and will be glorious!

Find out how marvelous life is with a new and powerful attitude. Discover how wonderful it is to see the good and the positive and find solutions, that may have remained hidden, when focused on what you think is wrong. Find out how sumptuous life is when you truly celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

You Always Find What You Look For

“How you arise in the morning sets the tenor for your day. If you arise positive and happy and intend to have a great day, it is far more likely you will. If you arise with dread, not wanting to face the day, more than likely, the day you experience is one you will dread.

It is always possible, in either case, you could be pleasantly, or not pleasantly, surprised, but that is just how life, and things, are. Anything is possible. Still, if you get up looking for smiles you are bound to find them sooner than if you are looking for frowns.

Whatever you look for is what you will tend to find. When you look for your keys you may find all sorts of other things along the way to finding them. Still, your mind is focused on keys. Your brain works by intention, expectations and beliefs. That’s what your brain does.

Seek And You Will Find – Knock And The Door Will Be Opened

Whatever you expect to find, you will. Your brain seeks a match for it. What ever you believe is the case, your brain looks for a match for it.  Since we tend to find what we look for, decide to look for the very best. Look for the good. Look for the delightful. Look for the blessings. When you do you tend to find these. So remember to celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

The Power Of Statements And Questions

“People ask wrong questions. People ask questions like ‘how long will this take’ rather than ‘how soon can I get it?’ ‘How come nothing ever works out’, instead of, ‘how soon will I discover everything always works out for the best, even if I don’t yet realize it?’

‘How come I am so stupid?’ They ask all sorts of ill phrased questions and make all sorts of ill phrased declarations such as ‘I’d die for chocolate’ or ‘that’s a real pain in the ass’ etc.  Remember, speak only to bless, heal and prosper, inspire and motivate yourself and others!

Most of people’s negative comments come charged with emotion and many of their positive ones are lackluster. Affirmations work when driven by large emotion negative or positive. Positive ones work best when you are enthused and passionate.

You Become What You Think About Most Often 

Many people experience negative problems and troubles because they affirm while angry and raging. Many create more negativity and problems because most of their moments are spent feeling negative, lots of other negative energy, they affirm it by what they say.

They declare the crap and so they continue to perpetuate the crap. Do you?  In order to transform yourself and your life the preponderance of your energy, your thoughts, feelings and words must shift from the negative to positive.

You get what you think about most frequently. Energy goes where your attention goes. Do you want to change? Would you like to transform? Are you stuck and need a new way to be? You can change! You will begin changing when you become positive, find the good, discover gratitude and celebrate everything.” Rex Sikes

Put An End To Negativity

“Put an end to negativity. Nothing good will come of it. Put it behind you and keep it behind you. Put an end to lack and poverty thinking. Put an end to worry and fear.  Stop thinking negative. You bring about what you think about. Stop thinking about poverty.

Stop thinking about your struggles and strife. Put an end to thinking about debt and woes. As you think it, so shall it be. Be willing to transform. Stop thinking about what is wrong. Accentuate the positive. Begin thinking about what is right. Think about the good.

You don’t have to ignore troubles just don’t dwell on them. Commit to thinking everything will work out. Commit to thinking you can make good happen. You will create or find a way. You will adjust as necessary and continue on. Good will be the end result. Get it?

Whatever You Think About Most Often You Will Bring About 

Commit to thinking everything happens for a reason. That reason is to serve you. You will learn what you need to learn. You will grow strong. You will be blessed. Put It Behind You!

“The only moment we  have is now. The future has not yet happened and the past is done and over with. Sadly, some people carry the past around as  a present curse. It is finished. Put it down. Put it behind you. Let it go. Move on. It is no more, unless you keep it alive.

Stop reliving old times. Learn how to move from that which happened then, to the present. Live in the present free of the past. When you do an incredible creative energy is available to you. Some people relive what happened this morning over and over.

Others, relive what happened 5, 10, 15, 20 years ago or more. You must first decide if reliving any of these moments that happened in the past is worthy of your time and energy. After all, it is your life. How much time do you want to spend in the past?  Get it?

Today You Are Where Your Thoughts Have Brought You

Some people relive sad, bad, less than glorious moments because they haven’t learned how to forgive, let go, and move beyond those, yet. Others, relive positive, happy moments because they aren’t busy creating any more new ones. Live now. Live free. Let it go.

Put it behind you and walk away. All of the past can be a resource if you use it to learn from and move forward. Or it can be debilitating if you are stuck in it and affected by it. Those who are successful and happy know how to put it into perspective and move on.

Learn the lessons from then. Appreciate the experience. Find a way to forgive, if necessary, and forget to focus on back then. Focus on now and what you want to enjoy. Focus on what you want to create for yourself. Whatever you focus on expands. Focus on blessings!

Tomorrow You Will Be Where Your Thoughts Take You

Focus on the positive. Learn to be thankful and you transform. Learn to be willing to change! Learn to allow the good and the positive. Focus on the good and the positive and you get more back. Make new positive experiences. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
