Stop Reliving Nightmares And Start Live Your Dreams

“Would you like more time? How about better times? Would you like to be happier and healthier? How would you like to make more money? Would you like that? Would you like to take your time back and spend it with loved ones and on leisure and fun activities?

Then there is one thing you must absolutely do. You must let go of the past. It is done and gone. It is water over the dam. The milk is already spilt. The deal is done. The loved one passed and gone. How many times have you heard, ‘you can’t bring them back’.

‘Don’t cry over spilt make.’ ‘What is done is done and you cannot change it’. For example, someone stole your car. Totaled it. You get paid. Criminal is caught and convicted. Right? It sucked. There is nothing you can do about the past. You cannot change it. Right?

The Way To Get Over The Past – Leave It Behind You

Imagine the event happened. The car stolen and totaled. The criminal is not caught and you are not paid. It didn’t change anything did it. The car being stolen is the same event. With the first one you probably feel a little better than the second  but what is different?

The only difference is what you think about it. How you feel. Different outcomes but the event is the same. You feel differently because you think something should or shouldn’t happen. Your thoughts, beliefs and expectations, your rules determine it.

Right? Am I right? The car is gone and you can’t change that. Gone forever. The convict sentenced or not and you are paid or not. You can’t change that, although maybe. You might not think the payment or the sentence fair. So what makes the events different?

You Can’t Start The Next Chapter If You Keep Re-reading The Last

Your thoughts. Bottom line what or how you think about the situation determines whether you feel it is just or unjust. Whether you get over it more easily or not. YOU determine YOUR present and future by WHAT YOU THINK about the PAST! Get it? I hope.

The pain you feel is caused by your own thinking. You may say, no it is caused but the result. You don’t like the result. Okay. Then what are you doing with the result? Are you thinking about it? How do you feel? It is your reaction to the result that determines it all. Doesn’t it?

Alright, in this post I will not tell you how to make more money BUT I will tell you that if you get your time back you have the opportunity to be happier, healthier and wealthier. Hope you are okay with this. Plenty of opportunity to discuss making money again later.

Grudges Are A Waste Of Perfect Happiness – Get Over It

People waste an enormous amount of time complaining about things they can’t change. The whine and blame and feel hurt and bad about things they can do nothing about. Still they can’t go back and change history. They’d be better off using their time in better fashion.

Don’t you think? Turn from the history you don’t like and promise to make your present and future better. Stop whining and crying over milk spilled  and learn to carry the milk better. Do whatever it takes so you are happier and healthier and wealthier than in the past.

Grieve when grieving is appropriate for as long as necessary. Mourn the loss. Celebrate a life. Eventually, move on. Two lives needn’t end because one transitioned.  The same is true regarding your major upsets and upheavals and disappointment and horrendous events.

Realize Your Past Is Just A Story – Begin To Tell A New Story

Get past them. You cannot change the historical moment but YOU can change how you think and feel about them. Yes, you may have to learn to do that, if you don’t know how, but you can learn anything, just as you learned to crawl, walk, speak, read and write if you have.

You can change your response to disappointment. Consider this. Some are very hot about these recent election results. It is true others have been hot in the past about other election results. Whatever was on election night and come what may, is what is.

How can you best spend your time? Is it feeling angry, hateful, vengeful? Is it reading one more article that the election was stolen or rigged or whatever? Some people do what to feel indignation I get that. They want to point out all that is wrong and crooked.

The Choice Is Always Yours And Yours Alone – No One Else’s

Still, it changes next to nothing if it changes anything at all. I am not saying don’t fight for change. Don’t try to do better next time. Do work to improve. Yes. Make a difference. I am not saying that. I am saying there are ways to use your time more constructively too.

Stop whining and blaming and start feeling hopeful and optimistic. Learn from the event and determine what positive things to do that may make a difference in the future. Do you understand what I am saying? You can proactively seek to make it better now and later?

Or you stay stuck in reacting to defeat and disappointment. Which gets you further along. I believe it is moving forward positively. It feels better and accomplishes more. Some only feel good when they feel bad. That is true too. Some want to suffer horrendously.

Breathe Out – Breathe In – Move – Repeat – Step By Step 

I don’t and if you don’t then learn to nip it. Decide if this is a positive use of your time. Think, Does this help me evolve positively? Does this help me be happier and healthier and wealthier? OR does it take me down into a spiral of despair? Which do you want? DECIDE!

Get it. every second is a moment you can decide. You are deciding by default if you aren’t consciously deciding. You are doing what you habitually do. You don’t get new results doing things the old way that didn’t work previously. Still some thing they will. They won’t.

How do you want to spend you time? Creating wealth or complaining about being broke? Getting healthier or complaining about your infirmities? Getting happier or focusing on negativity and what is wrong with you and the world? Well, which do you prefer?

If You Wait Until You Are Ready You’ll Wait The Rest Of Your Life

It is pretty cut and dry. You are either building a house or you are not. Get it? You are either building something positive or you aren’t. If you aren’t and you prefer to be then decide to do it and stick with your decision. Stop spending time doing what you don’t want.

Stop reacting to the woes of the world helplessly and start living positively. Stop wasting your time on things you cannot change. Stop wasting time feeling bad when you could be feeling good. Perhaps, this is why many people only live okay lives and aren’t fulfilled.

The spend more time crying over the milk spilt than drinking fresh new milk. Stop, do anything else than feel bad about things you can’t change. Take charge, take control and decide to spend your time wisely feeling wonderful, doing wonderful things and celebrate! Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Why Bad Things May Happen To Positive Good People

Perception Is Not Reality But Your Thoughts Make It So

‘Lincoln, King & Gandhi were assassinated & Jesus was crucified. How do you explain their respective demise compared to their peaceful protests, their “love & compassion, acceptance, forgiveness & inspiration”. Was this in their thoughts also?? Of course I have an exception with Lincoln as he allowed the execution of Native Americans because they hunted off their reservation to feed their starving families as the government agent managing the reservation stole the food & sold it & at the same time writing the emancipation proclamation to free slaves. Just does not compute with me. Bridges collapsed with the bombs of assassination & crucifixion.’ Carol Ann

‘Yes, they faced great opposition. If you are asking did they also bring about their demise by harboring thoughts of it, I don’t know. I am not in their head and hearts. Perhaps, but perhaps not. Einstein stated that, ‘Great spirit must always contend with mediocre minds.’

Perhaps, that is more to the case. Perhaps not. However, it is likely that many reacted to their vision with hostility, making this probable. I don’t know. The answer I am most comfortable with others may not be. I don’t know that it is accurate.

That answer is, what is is.

It happened. Good things can happen to bad people and bad things can happen to good. It is what it is. As with anything and everything in life, something happens and our minds rush to assign a reason, an cause, an excuse, a blame or a complaint.

We react to events mostly from previous chronic habitual conditioning and neural wiring. We react. We can respond. We can learn we have choice. We can choose what we think and how it affects us. Most of us don’t.

Most don’t and sadly won’t because it requires effort to learn to create a ‘pause’ instead of behaving unaware. We have to create an awareness first and then choose how we will think and feel and act. It is possible and desirable to do so but fewer people will.

Once we create a pause we are free, freer, from that conditioning. We learn a new more supportive, useful habit. We wire in a new way to be. Accepting what is and being comfortable without having an answer is tough for many humans. Tougher for some than others.

It requires staying open, not knowing the reasons, not knowing the answers. It means not assigning anything to ‘what is’ but accepting it as ‘it is’. Our reasons, beliefs and assignments, our blames and complaints, as well as our productive, feel good ones are projections.

They aren’t truth. They are versions of possible answers. Potential answers, but are only fragments of all the possibilities. We have been conditioned to look for the single cause, the correct answer. There may or may not be any.

Nothing is wrong with our conditioning or our limitations, except that we mostly are unaware of the constraints that bind us. This is why waking up and becoming aware is important. We need to discover that whether answers are true or not they may be useful.

Rather than seeking truth, seek what the answer does. Does it support you or not? If it is supportive and uplifting great. If it is debilitating and harmful why chose it? I personally, believe awareness is mostly a matter of good taste.

Make wise choices that support us over less than glorious ones. Many make poor choices each moment. Learning how to do otherwise is part of our evolution. It is easier to fall into former chronic conditioning. We don’t have to think about it.

The old habits are the path of least resistance.

It is, at first, much more difficult to stay open and transcend that tendency. We can do it. We simply, first, need to become aware that we need to or want to do it. Awareness is the first step. Acceptance the second. We need to accept what is.

We accept what has been going on, and allow it. We need to accept we want to change. We need to bring our awareness to those moments and decide to be different. Usually, at first, it happens. Only later do we realize we thought and felt and behaved the same.

Eventually, we get quicker and quicker at noticing. At some point we manage to become aware ‘as’ it is happening and choose how to respond. We still need to remain open and accept whatever the outcome. Please realize I am using the word need.

We don’t need to do anything. It is desirable to do these things. we can do these things. Need is just another word. All of us choose whether we will or won’t. We are able to move ourselves forward, onward and upward.

That may mean having access to answers we otherwise wouldn’t or it may means answers aren’t so important. I do not know why things happen as they do. I don’t know if ‘the’ answer is accurate or not. I do not care. Is it useful. For me, it is useful but definitely not ‘true’.

There is no way I know whether it is true. I think we are all one with an infinite source of energy. We are the ocean. We are water. Whether together as the ocean or as individual drops on a side walk we are all ocean. Everything (including the sidewalk) is.

We have always been and always will be energy. The individual drops evaporate but remain. It goes back into the system. This energy is consciousness. Everything past, present, future, is. This energy allows for scenarios to play out for the ‘drop’s’ edification.

Struggles, hardship, disappoint, good times, family friends, enemies, ease and opposition are all aspects of it. The drop either becomes aware of this before evaporating or perhaps has some other opportunity.

Some versions of this think we go around once and a place awaits those afterward. Some of who believe that version believe the place is dependent on either a decision and relationship or on acts. A reward or punishment awaits.

Some believe the drops become new drops again and again until they no longer need to manifest as drops. Some believe nothing happens and it is over. Personally, I don’t know or care. I know, for myself at present, I am a drop and also much, more than a drop.

At some time this drop will evaporate. Form will change but energy will persist. I know as of now this is a reason, an answer, an explanation that may or may not be ‘true’. I allow for error. It is all okay. I am divine presence or energy as each of us are.

Whatever happens happens. What is is. How I live my life with love, joy, celebration is what moves me. I apologize I can’t provide a more definitive answer. I think there are laws to the universe that we attempt to understand and utilize if we are aware.

For example. We live on a very tiny globe in a vast expanding space. We are so very tiny yet we appear to ourselves somewhat large. We are huge compared to ants. Small compared to whales and elephants. Perception is everything. We see through a glass dimly.

The earth is spinning while revolving around a sun in s system that rotates as it expands outward into ‘gawd whatever is out there to expand into??’. I have no answer for this. It just appears to be what is based on what we believe we know from our human investigations.

Still there are seasons. There is day and night. There are ‘weather events’ as determined by us. Things happen. Things just are. ‘IS’. Day becomes night and night day. We go from season to season. Why? I don’t know. I only know I can utilize them.

I can plant seeds in one and harvest in another.

I can dress accordingly. I can enjoy or complain. It is what it is. How I respond determines how much joy I have or how much I miss. I hope in a small way I have answered your question. I do know, it is a question for which I have no answer.’

Your Boundaries are Determined By Your Perceptions And Beliefs

That was and is my answer to her, for now. It could change. I know there are people who will say so what, great answer or it sucks. Whatever they do they will do. I know there are people who fight over answers and go to war over issues.

People fight over what they believe. Perceptions are not ‘true’.

So no reader misconstrues: It is important to realize I am promoting what is good and positive. What can you do that benefits you and other humans? What expands and adds value to all of us Seek higher positive good. Love, accept more, create more peace.

Our Character Is Determined By Our Responses To Circumstances

I don’t feel the need to fight about it. I’d rather live and enjoy being the drop. I prefer to discover what I discover. Struggles, for me, are becoming more and more blessings. Opposition needn’t be feared or avoided or hated. Opposition can make us better and stronger.

The more I accept and say yes and allow the more I expand and become free and enjoy. The more I say no and attempt to exclude the more I  contract and feel less than glorious. Neither is ‘right’ or ‘true’ but one is more preferable for me. That is how or why I choose.

When and if I remember to be aware. It is much more likely I will be aware, and you will be, when filled with appreciation and gratitude for everything. When we delight and allow and accept in this fashion so much opens up for us. This is why I say celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Build Bridges Not Bombs

“You get what you focus on. That is the message from ancient times. It is a message in the Law Of Attraction. You get back AND more of what you put out. Energy flows where attention goes. The Law Of Compensation and Increase states we should expect a good ROI.

Focus on what you want! Not on what you do not want. Focus on the good and the positive you desire not the negativity you want to avoid. Draw to yourself the good you are passionate about and want to include. Focus on it and you will create it and attract it.

Gandhi said ‘Be the change you want in the world.’ Jesus said, ‘If you have the faith of a mustard seed (the tiniest of seeds) you can say to the mountain, be removed and it will be removed.’ I take this to mean have faith and you can solve your problems. There is a secret though.

If I Have The Belief I Can Do It I Will Acquire The Capacity To Do It

You must go first. You must have faith first that the problem will be solved. You must see and embody the solution prior to it existing. You must FIRST be the change. You don’t get it if you expect it to show up first. Become it and act as if you already have it to get it.

Certainty. Absolute knowing that it is yours IS stepping out on faith. It means develop certainty because where and how you put your energy determines the ease and the quickness you get it back. Having faith means certainty. Positivity is powerful.

Positive thinking is NOT the silly example as put forth by Tony Robbins and some others. It is not looking at the weeds and thinking ‘there are no weeds’. This is a poor misrepresentation. Positive thinking is ‘I can clear the weeds. I can learn to if I don’t know how’.

An Eye For An Eye Ends Up Making The Whole World Blind

‘I can do it. I will do it.’  ‘I can handle the weeds. I am capable and confident.’ You think and feel and act to get a particular result. It may seem realistic when you state ‘I can do this’ especially when others think you can’t. Great spirits encounter opposition from others.

Edison, Ford, Tesla, Jesus, Gandhi, King, Lincoln, and others have all faced opposition. Massive opposition! They didn’t quit or give up because others thought they were nuts or that they couldn’t do it. They persevered and prevailed. It came at a cost but they paid it.

You don’t get peace by acting hateful. You don’t build positive change by being negative. You don’t move ahead powerfully by complaining and feeling despair. You don’t get loving people or acceptance by being intolerant and hating others.

The Future Depends On What We Do In The Present

You don’t create anything positive, peace, love, community, acceptance or togetherness by blaming and acting like the others who want to tear you down. You must rise to a higher level of awareness to make a positive impact. Seek higher ground!

Gandhi, King, Einstein, Jesus and others far smarter than I seem to all say, ‘love each other’ rather than piss on each other. If you win be a gracious winner if you lose be a gracious loser. Correct wrongs but in the right way. Don’t give up. Stick with it. Commit to compassion.

Don’t whine, complain or abuse others. Work for positive changes in ways that bring about positive changes. Accept, forgive, inspire, educate, assist, expose, love. Build bridges not bombs. Respect life don’t harm or take it. Focus on what you want to bring it about.

Happiness Is When What You Think Say And Do Are In Harmony

We are always getting the results of our thoughts. We are either getting what we want or we are getting what we don’t want. We are either living or dying. What we end up with is based on what we think and do. If you don’t like the results change what gets them.

If you want your life and world to change you must change the way you are doing things in your life and the world. If you want peace you must become peaceful. If you want love become more loving, first. You create and attract what you already are. That’s what most miss.

It is just like prayer. Most people pray when things get bad and ask for something other than what is going on. When things are fine they don’t bother. Tides turn and they become beggars. Stop begging and start praising. Start feeling gratitude. Start appreciating. Be thankful.

Strength Rises From Indomitable Spirit Not Physical Capacity

Be thankful for what you already have if you want more of the same and better. Stop begging because when you beg you act as if you don’t already have it. Even the bible says, ask believing you will receive and you will receive. There is an order to how things work.

Be the change you want in the world. Go first. Build bridges. Focus on harmony. Focus on love. Focus on community. Think it! Feel it! Be it! And you not only become what you think about you get back more of what you think about. Basic cause and effect. Do it.

Be happy and get more. Be sad and beg for a difference and remain the same longer. Be angry and hateful and you will get it back. I mean really, think about what you create for yourself and if you don’t want it choose to create something more wonderful. How?  Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

We All Need More Love

“Love makes everyone feel much better. That may seem silly but it is true. Love makes people want to cooperate and get along. Love over hate is what helps people heal and move forward and do great things. Love brings people together rather than dividing them.

Why wish evil on anyone? Why hope someone fails? Why not, instead, hope the person, you have little respect for, surprises you? Why not encourage them with love? Embrace them and send them positive energy. Assist them by loving them. Why not?

The answers to ‘why’ and ‘why not’ will reveal much about our thinking. If we think we will lose something by being kind and loving then we aren’t apt to be. We need to realize that by loving we will gain more in return. We need to open the door to let love in.

Compliment People Magnify Their Strength Not Their Weakness

We need to be patient and kind and more understanding. We need to listen more and talk less. We need to build up rather than just tearing down. We can  learn this. Love is generous and helpful. Love is interested and curious. Love is accepting and seeks to include.

We should be more loving. Find more things to be grateful about. Practice gratitude. Teach gratitude. Share gratitude. Enjoy and delight in all. Look for the best. Look deeper if you must. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

2016 Election: Some Mad Some Glad – Do You Care?

“It was a tough and sad day for many. It was a happy day for others. Some people are scared. Should they be? I don’t believe so. We don’t have to live in fear to desire positive changes. Still, many are fearful. I think we can live courageously in the face of a defeat. Some don’t.

I posted on my FB wall. Grow a pair to those who felt despair. Do I think that is important. YES I do. Don’t give up hope. I get that you are disappointed. You fought the good fight. Keep going if you choose to, or quit but don’t whine and blame and make excuses.

Do I also think, in a different situation, if someone dies, that there should be grieving time. People should grieve and can celebrate a life passed on. I should be sensitive to their loss. They are grieving the loss of an election. Is it the same, no, not really, but still…

Keep Your Thoughts Words And Actions As One

People want to grieve what they think is their dying hope. They fear the worst as a result of the election. They are entitled to. I think there are wiser choices on how to spend time but I do not actually fault them for their choice. People do what they do. Don’t they?

What IS is. Accept it and move on. Moving on may including wanting to change it. To correct what some think is a wrong or a mistake. That is fine with me too. Correct and carry on. Just don’t let results bring you down, don’t think negative, and don’t attack others.

People will do what they will do. They’ll take as much as time as they need. I don’t judge them or begrudge them. I simply point out there are other choices. I do it loudly and provocatively, at times, to get their attention, but I mean no disrespect. I want them to be free.

Imagine What 7 Billion People Could Accomplish …

Trump wins or looses, for me, the world goes on. There will be things I like and don’t like. Hillary wins same point. I will continue to love my life and work for positive change in myself, for others and the world. Every President has done some good things and some bad.

I have agreed with some changes and abhorred others. If people work to get the election result changed and are successful so be it. If they don’t succeed at this so be it. Regardless of the outcome I think now is time to operate from a higher, more positive purpose.

The election is over. We should work together. Yet, some pundits, say we shouldn’t. Do we really want another 8 years of obstruction? Maybe some do. I prefer to think we could all pitch in and work together and get along, but perhaps I am mistaken. A house divided.

… If We All Loved And Respected Each Other

Unless we attempt to work together for the greater good and leave partisan politics behind we will never know. Will we? We lived with 8 years of obstruction and a most disrespected president. He did many things I applauded. He did a number of things I disagreed with.

The world has continued for better or worse. Hasn’t it? Yes, there are still horrible problems globally. There are some pretty awful problems nationally. Instead, of putting our energy into the problems let’s put it into creating solutions. That might help.

My hope is that people are bigger than revenge and an eye for an eye politics. I think the obstructionists traitors. They have a duty, they are paid to work things out. They didn’t. We survived them. Let’s not repeat the same obnoxious, destructive acts and low level thinking.

Physical Change Starts With Mental Change

Let’s rise to a higher standard. Let’s negotiate for the people not the party. Let’s make the country and individual’s lives better. Right there, with that statement, I know there are people who think that will be impossible. But is it? Couldn’t we seek higher ground?

Hey, if you give up all hope, if you pull away from the table, take your marbles and go home and refuse to negotiate any thing then YOU are the problem. You are the problem if you hate the haters. I mean really, some people can’t see the forest for the trees.

They want to end violence and are willing to beat up, injure or kill people who are violent. That, in MY book, IS insane. They want to end hate and prejudice and then hate the people who don’t agree or think as they do. This is not good on any level.

Be The Change You Want To See In The World

Obstruction, anger, hatred, party politics, my side must win at all costs, we must never concede a bargaining chip, are problems and many people live this way.  All or nothing. Only my way is the right way. Agree with me or you aren’t my friend or family member.

Really? I mean REALLY? You put politics over your personal relationships. Really? DO you think your hate and intolerance of people who don’t exactly agree with you will save the world. YOU ARE THE PROBLEM. Get it YOU ARE! A house divided.

You should know by now there are many shades of grey. At least 50, right? So come on let’s hold ourself to a higher standard and drop partisan standoff politics. Let’s drop hating each other and realize it is our ‘right’ to disagree. To pursue happiness as each see fit. C’mon!

A House Divide Can Not Stand

Look, anger or dissatisfaction isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It can be used to right many wrongs. When it is aimed at a love one or a friend, or even a stranger, simply because they hold different views than you do, then your thoughts and behaviors border on dangerous.

We want people of color to be accepted. We want people with different gender preferences and biases to be accepted. We want  equal rights for women and men. We want women to control their destinies and their bodies. We want health care for all. We want…

Oh, except those of you who don’t. Okay, so you don’t. Instead of getting made why not try to love them into agreeing with you. Why not resect the differences. Hey, you know what, maybe you and they don’t really need to convince each other. You don’t need to hate.

If You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

Do you? Do you need to hate someone just because they think or vote differently? A house divided can not stand. Consider the law of attraction and new thought philosophy. You get back what you put out. What you focus on expands and becomes magnified.

Whatever we focus on or think about most grows in importance. If we focus on and think mostly about what divides us, how the other side is wrong they what looms before us is intolerance, hatred and negativity. We get back more of the same. Some call it karma.

It makes sense. Jesus said ‘turn the other cheek’. Why, because it is difficult. What you really want to do, and are inclined to do, is hit them back harder. You wan to SMACK ’em! That is karma. Jesus said interrupt it. Rise to a higher level. Offer the other cheek.  Stop!

Every Thought We Put Into The World Affects It

Stop perpetuating the cycle of violence. Don’t mistake this as a political blog understand it as a spiritual blog or one on personal development and self improvement. Create harmony and balance. Work for the greater good. Become more loving and accepting.

2016 Election Results: What We Can Learn From A Trump Win And Accomplish In The Future

“I venture an opinion why Trump won the election from a collective consciousness position. There is a simple reason I hope we all could learn and benefit greatly from. Whether you are for or not for Trump is not my concern. This isn’t about politics. Truly, it isn’t political.

It isn’t meant to be political. It is an analysis of our behaviors and our thinking processes from the standpoint of creating, manifesting and the Law Of Attraction. In this I share New Thought and ancient wisdom and practice. We get what we put out there. We create.

Following this line of thinking that thoughts become things; that what you think about you bring about; that we become what we think about most often and that what we put out there comes back to us, let’s make a possible observation. I’ll keep it simple.

Most People Think About What They Don’t Want …

Some people wanted Donald Trump to win. Some people wanted Hillary Clinton to win. Some wanted other candidates. Some wanted neither to win. Some didn’t care and didn’t participate. Some wanted Trump to lose more than they cared he win. Same with Hillary.

Let’s look at some of these. Some people wanted Trump to lose MORE THAN they wanted Hillary to win. They focused mostly on what they did not want. Their energy went into Trump must loose. They wanted to stop Trump. Their concern wasn’t Hillary.

Trump people were very, very, pro Trump. They wanted him to win. As for Hillary some people were very pro Hillary. Some because they wanted her she was the best choice and they were hopeful. Others because we must stop Trump. Prevent Trump from winning.

… Then Wonder Why It Keeps Showing Up Over And Over Again

Many were divided about Hillary. They were unsure. Some totally convinced but a lot chose her as the better of two bad choices. Not totally convinced but she was the only alternative to Trump. Some wanted Bernie and were upset. They didn’t want Hillary at all.

Some flat out didn’t want Hillary. Then there were those who wanted Hillary to lose more than they wanted Trump to win. Then there were those who didn’t care. Then there were third party voters. Then there were those who never showed up to vote.

Think tipping point. You get what you focus on. Where is the preponderance of the energy flowing? Where is more attention given to which candidate most of the time? From the beginning I think we’d agree it was Donald Trump. Good or bad. Right or not.

Create What You Want – Attract What You Want – Stay Focused

If you want Trump you are focused on Trump. If you don’t want Trump you are focused on Trump. Same is true regarding Hillary. However, if you aren’t certain about Hillary you aren’t focused on Hillary. If you don’t care about either, neither matters much.

However, one might argue even a little caring about one candidate over the other provides more energy toward that candidate. Yes, perhaps. I think one can agree that Trump was the most focused on. Trump was everyone’s focal point. Trump was a lightning rod.

New Thought philosophy, which arose in ancient times, suggests we bring about what we think about. That means you can manifest what you absolutely want and desire most. It also means you bring about what you want to avoid and exclude. You get what you don’t want.

You Are Destined To Become The Person You Decide To Be

If you aren’t aimed totally on what you want you get what you fear or worry about most by default. This is an critical to understand. If your mind drifts and isn’t focused you still get results but they are probably undesirable much of the time and ok at other times.

Drifting is where many, if not most, people, live. However, I’ll save that point for another post. I have discussed it much in these pages. Check out other posts. Returning to my premise. Donald Trump caught and kept everyone’s attention whether one liked him or not.

All the energy was focused on Donald from the start. He got the media points, he got the attention. He made news daily. Positive and negative. How he was embraced or rejected is based on our perceptions of who he is. We make those assessments.

You Attract To Your Life Whatever You Give Energy And Focus On

Regardless of whether you wanted him or didn’t you could not escape him if you had anything to do with media. Many people loved him. Many people hated him. He trumped every GOP candidate and DEM candidate in the media every single day. He was news!

People were scared. He was in everyone’s attention and limelight. Hillary paled by comparison. More people, positively or negatively, focused on Trump than on her. Whether you liked her or not she just didn’t carry the charismatic lightning rod weight as he did.

He was fresh and new. A maverick. An outsider. A celebrity known to be extravagant and eccentric. Hillary had been first lady, Secretary of State, a career politician. Trump was sexy she was not. I do not mean in the traditional sense I mean as a product or candidate.

Whether You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You’re Right

Think about it from a brain stand point.  Many of us are aware that the brain doesn’t process negative language. ‘Don’t think about an elephant’ results in thinking about and picturing an elephant. ‘I don’t want X to win’ results in thinking about and imaging X winning.

This is why we create or attract what we don’t want. We keep imagining it over and over. Consider this. What is the most important part of this sentence? ‘I don’t want Trump to win.’ What is the focal point? Trump winning! That is where all the energy is!

I think the Bernie movement succeeded as much as it did because of the many pro Bernie people. They created momentum and energy around what they wanted. It is more important to keep in mind what we are going for than what we want to rid ourselves of. Learn this.

See It In Your Mind And One Day You Can Hold It In Your Hand

It’s important to know what you want to change to remove pain, suffering and injustice. Notice it. Determine what needs to change then focus on what you want in its place. What do you want instead of the pain and injustice. Where do you put energy? Where’s it go?

Keep your eye on the solution not the problem. Focus on the prize and the win. Not the loss. Yes, part of knowing what you want to bring about comes from knowing what you don’t want any longer. If you have a pebble in your shoe, remove it, and walk on comfortably.

Focus on where you want to arrive at. Stop recalling the pain of the pebble. Put more energy into what you want than what you don’t want. My point about the election is massive energy went to Trump. Less went toward Hillary. Trump can’t win becomes Trump win!

You Get What You Focus On – Energy Flows Where Attention Goes

Perhaps, we can learn about this for our personal lives as well as elections. Focus on what you want to create rather than fighting what you prefer not to have. Build rather than tear down. Create and manifest the good you desire. Put your energies into that!

Aim and focus on your positive goals. You have a far better chance succeeding if you aim at what you want than if you aim at what you don’t! Why, because you WILL get what you don’t want. Energy flows where your attention goes. This is critical to understand.

Whether you are happy or sad at the outcome. That is what we got. NOW how we think, feel and behave is critical. What do we want now that these two men hold office? What kind of future and world do we want? How can we put our energies into positive changes?

Take Charge Of Your Thoughts And You Take Charge Of Your Life

If we fear the worst we attract the worst. If we put our energy into positive change, at the very least, we have the chance and the opportunity for creating and attracting positive change. Stay focused, stay optimistic, stay positive. Put energy into positive good.

Leaving the election results for the moment, what do you want for yourself? Discover what positive good that is and focus on it. No excuses, no blaming anything. Work to make it happen. Develop an ‘I can learn to do it’ attitude and you will. Make it happen. I CAN DO it!

Focus on what you want to include and you can have it. Stop focusing on what you worry about, fear, or wish to exclude. Withdraw the energy. Put energy into accomplishing your goals. You can do it. We can do it. As an individual or as a nation we can create.

Our Life Our Present Our Future Are What Our Thoughts Make It

We always are. The question is what are we focused on? Are we focused on co-operation, abundance, positivity, success, accomplishment, fairness, generosity, rising together or otherwise. We will bring about that which we focus on most and most often.

The election is monumental energy. More energy surrounded Trump than surrounded Hillary. There was more momentum. Whether the outcome is good or not good we shall see. Simply realize WE did this. We manifested this. Some people say we get what we deserve.

This means do we feel we are worthy of the best. If not we need to make some inner changes to be certain we do. Why ever settle for less? Unless, of course, you don’t think we deserve the best. You do, I do. As individuals and as citizens of any nation we deserve the best.

There Are No Limitations You Can Dream Anything Is Possible

Don’t scream and yell and blame and accuse. Learn and decide to make happen what you want to make happen for yourself in the future. Learn to do the same with our representatives where ever you live. This election serves as an example. Manage your thoughts!

I hope this hasn’t upset you too much. The election is a hot bed of emotions for many. Many got upset with me for social media posts encouraging people to accept what is and move on. I get it. I might be upset with me too had I been the recipient of that message.

Learn the principles. Put them into practice and benefit. Remember we create our own dreams and nightmares. We either attract and create what we fear most and don’t want or we attract and create what we most want to enjoy. It is a mental decision. It is a choice!

Creation Begins With A Thought That Is Transformed Into Reality

Our thoughts, our perceptions create our reality. Think what do you want to make happen! Be grateful for your ability to do this and then LEARN how to do this. Learn to manage and control your thinking so you get more of the positive results you want. It is incredible!

If you don’t vote you get what others decide for you. If you don’t manage your thinking you get what others decide for you. Take control of your future by learning how to live powerfully in the present. Be happy, be grateful and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Don’t Let It Get You Down: How To Overcome Disappointment!

“When things don’t work out as you had hoped take a deep breath. Find your center. Let go. Breath some more. Accept that it didn’t turn out the way you had hoped. It is as it is. Accept it. Yes, it may seem tough at first but it gets easier. Breath and let go. Accept.

Now determine what you do want. Decide to work to make it happen. Work for the change you want in the world. Work for the change you want in yourself. Make corrections and continue on. Adapt and adjust. Aim your ship at where you want to go.

If you can’t change what occurred work for the changes you can make happen. Step by step, bit by bit. Never lose hope because things didn’t work out as you had planned. Expect positive good to continue to come to you for the future. Allow for it. Receive it.

Disappointment Is God Saying I’ve Got Something Better For You

Attitude IS the edge that makes the difference. If you think you can or you think you can’t you are right. Keep the faith. Learn that challenges can be good. They help build character. One can discover inner resources not previously realized. Anything is possible.

Challenge is good. Opposition makes muscles grow. It is difficult to move outside one’s comfort zone sometimes agitation is required. There may be a greater good in your disappointment than you would ever realize had you easily gotten your way. Anything IS possible.

Never give up. If you quit you are done. If you attempt again you are in the process. You decide its worth. You determine the value. If it is important then keep going after it. There is nothing wrong with not getting the results you want. Work with the results you do get.

Holding Onto Anger – Drinking Poison Expecting The Other To Die

If you won’t do that then continue to pursue the results you want. Do it without blaming anything or anyone else. Don’t make excuses. Just do it. Make what you want to happen and be glad that you can. You will discover opportunities you never knew were there.

In struggle if you accept it you will find joy. Find the silver lining and focus on it. A master chess player wants a tougher opponent. Otherwise, the game is boring; the results are certain. Develop a ‘bring it on’ attitude and welcome challenge. You will accelerate your personal evolution. Especially if you celebrate everything!”

Don’t Give Up Now For Something Less Important

“My message today is: Simplify your life. Recently, I have shared about taking small steps, getting clear of clutter, reclaiming your time, energy and you. Each of these can be accomplished more easily than you may have imagined. You can may be surprised! Reclaim it!

‘Take time to smell the roses’. A favorite saying of many and me. Take time. You don’t get time. You don’t luck into a free moment. It isn’t given to you. You take it. You choose how to spend it. Take time doing something nice. Take time to appreciate what is going on.

Take time to notice what is here and enjoy it. Breath it in. Delight in the fragrance. The same can be done at any moment regarding anything. Stop, take time to be grateful. Take time to savor life. Take time for yourself to let go, relax, and clear head and heart space.

Take Your Time Back Moment By Moment – Make It Memorable

Take time to enjoy your meal quietly. No phone. No texts. No computer. No TV. No noise. Just you and eating. Notice when you leave the present space and are thinking about what needs to be completed or started. Are you here now? Did you go elsewhere?

Stay present. Slow down. Enjoy the moment. Savor the delicious tastes. Focus on these. Notice how good this is. Many of us race through these moments. At the end of the day we haven’t live much because wherever we were we were actually somewhere else.

At the end of our life we notice we haven’t live much because we were too busy thinking about other things, we thought we important but weren’t. We got caught up. Right in front of us were our children but we were thinking about work. We missed being present!

Live Fully – Be Present – Become Fully Alive – Be Here Now 

We can only physically be in one place at one time, as far as we know. However, mentally, we can be in any number of places but where we are physically. This is a great talent. It can be very beneficial. It can also be a great distraction and disappointment.

We need to control it. We need to aim it. Don’t miss life NOW by being somewhere else in your head, or on your phone. Walk and look at the world, not at your phone. Texting can wait. Perhaps, your children can’t. This is why they grow up so fast. You aren’t there!

Take time. Take time to enjoy. Delight. Take time to rest and renew. Take time to love and share. Take time for the important people in your life. Take time to nourish yourself. Take time for silence. Take time to appreciate. Take time to live fully. Take time to be here now. Take your time back. Live, love, laugh and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Do This Accountability Exercise With An Accountability Partner

You have the opportunity to hold each other accountable. Get together as frequently as possible. In person, preferably, but Skype or phone works too. Your time together will be spent taking turns telling your future success stories and NOTHING ELSE.

No needs, no wants, no excuses, no ‘I have to’.  No ‘I am trying to’. Just tell your future success story. Describe your life and what you are doing as a successful, happy, rich, complete person. Share in as much detail as possible. This is ‘act as if’ in practice. Tell it like it is!

Divide your sharing time equally. Your partner can ask you questions about how you did it; how it feels to have done it; what you did first; second, third; what it feels like to ride in your fabulous new luxury car; how it felt when you first got in it and drove it home. Get it?

To Enjoy Enduring Success You Must In Advance Of The World

Well, do you? Tell the future story as if it already happened. Share past future success. You already did it! You already made it happen! Recount it with enthusiasm. Your partner’s job is to enthusiastically support you in sharing and clarifying every adding detail.

Make it rich and fun. Each time you get together you can share the exact same story or elaborate and add more detail. Live that future inside you right now and get used to telling it. Live your future story as if it is presently happening. Share it again and again.

Talk about it. Live it. Make it real. Then actually make it happen! From within to without. Thought are things. What you think about you bring about. What you say is what you get! Add voice to your thought power. Share your successes today.

Live Your Dreams For The Future As If They Are Happening Now

Be sure to find a good partner. Hold each other to the task. Repeat this exercise as frequently as you possible. The more you enjoy, feel grateful and engage in the exercise the sooner your subconscious gets it.

IMPORTANT NOTE: From the very moment you get together online, or in person, you need you act as if you are already living that successful lifetime. Discuss from the future vantage point your successes and accomplishments. Imagine it fully as possible.

You might say something such as,  ‘My day is going great. I just had three multi-million deals come through. It is so fabulous!’ Or ‘I just opened up a string of laundromats.’ ‘ I’m so excited my renewable energy resource company just launched to great fanfare,’

What You Say Is What You Get – What YouSee is What You Get

‘l just made a fortune in my stocks.’ or ‘I just  flipped 6 houses.’ You relate success stories related to your purpose and your dreams. Share positive stories and happenings as if these had really happened. Discuss and share with enthusiasm and passion.

You cannot talk from lack or need! No, no, no, no, no!  You speak only from prosperity and happiness, future wealth and well-being. You are not allowed to discuss present problems. NONE allowed! No difficulties! No struggles! Nothing to solve! Get it? It all works!

You are a wealthy, prosperous, happy, successful person meeting another wealthy, prosperous, happy, successful person. Together you share and enjoy your positive, happy, successes. You recount and celebrate the good times. You share only the wins! Get it?

If You Can Conceive It And Believe It You Can Achieve It

‘To enjoy enduring success one must travel a little in advance of the world.’ First you dream it, see it, imagine it, then you create it and enjoy it. From within to without. What you think about you bring about. If you can see it in your mind you can hold it in your hand.

How To Become Unstoppable And Invincible

“This is really simple. You want to be unstoppable, right? You’d like to commit and follow through, wouldn’t you? Do you want to make your dreams come true or not?  Well, what is it? Are you all in the game or just dabbling? Did you dive in or dip your toes?

If you want to learn to be a can do person who makes things happens and creates the results you want there is one simple thing you must do. Truly, one thing is enough but you have to play to win if you are going to do it. If you are in you must be all in, get it? Are you ready?

Is this for you? Do you want to make your dreams come true? Okay then, DECIDE to do it! Make the decision that no matter what, come what may, your word is law and you will keep your commitment to yourself. Decide to follow through! There is incredible power in this!

Success Comes To You When You Refuse To Give Up – Never Quit

‘BUT, BUT, BUT,’ you exclaim. If it were that simple I’d have already done it. The truth is IT IS THAT SIMPLE. You haven’t done it because you weren’t conditioned to. You don’t have the habit of keeping your word to yourself OR others, yet. But you can develop it starting now.

Decide that you will accept the challenge. Decide to make it happen. NOW do everything you must in order to ensure that what you want to make happen you make happen. Athletes know if they want the gold there are things they must do now just in order to compete.

It is 95% mindset and 5% action. If you talk yourself out of it you let a thought influence your feelings. Then you didn’t feel like it so you didn’t produce the result you could have. Poor, poor you. YOU let a THOUGHT stop you. A mental packet of energy prevented you.

You Did Not Wake Up Today To Be Mediocre – Live Fully

WOW. You have no excuse and no one to blame except yourself. AND if you spend time blaming yourself but you don’t decide to make it different and correct your mistake you are truly missing out. Own up to it! Take responsibility for not doing what you need to.

Once you are clear about that start acting in your own behalf. Start acting in your own best interests. Start making what you want happen and taking some pride in being able to accomplish what you want to achieve. Stop playing victim and decide to be a victor.

Play to win. Decide to be a champion. Put some skin in the game. Put some money where your mouth is. Commit and follow through. It is always and only up to each of us. That means it is up to you. So what are you going to do about making sure you have the future you want.

Determination Is Power That Makes You Invincible – Be Great

Commit. Accept your role inn creating everything you want and then do it. Do what you need to today. Do what you need to tomorrow. Maintain your attitude. Manage your mindset. Feel fantastic. Practice optimism. Practice gratitude. Celebrate Everything!” Rex Sikes
