Wake Up Feeling Wonderful: How To Get Out Of The Trances You’re In!

“People grow up in trance. We are conditioned from birth on. We are conditioned so well that most of us don’t realize the depth of trance we live in and from. We need to wake up and become aware. The question is how? How do we awaken from the trances we are in?

Most of our problems stem from our trances. They come from the conditioning. We have adopted limitations and limiting beliefs that we aren’t even aware are not our own. They were handed to us mostly from well intentioned others and some not well intentioned.

We wander through life not straying far from artificial boundaries that were introduced to us. We made these our own. We think it is who we are and what we are capable of. We clearly don’t know who we are or how much more capable we truly are. We just don’t know.

Wake Up Become Aware  – Live With Awareness

Because most of us live within a comfort zone we don’t venture further. Sometimes we are forced to wake up and for the first time we confront the limits of our thinking. Then we realize these limits aren’t us, they’re imposed on us. At this point we can become free.

If we choose to. If we become aware and work to override our previous conditioning we can awaken to who we are. We can begin to monitor our thoughts and self-talk for when it is supportive and when it is not. We can begin to live free, different and better lives.

To begin to live free of our previous conditioning we need to stop or drop the trance and wake up. We can do this by changing the self-talk from not supportive to supportive. We choose our thoughts and re-condition ourselves though affirmations and visualization.

Drop Old Conditioning – Become Aware And Live Life Differently

We can direct our mind with the artful use of questions. We change ourselves using the same methods we were originally conditioned with. Exposure and repetition. We repeat powerful new thoughts and ideas, declarations or affirmations with loads of good feelings.

It is the feelings combined with the powerful declarations that make it work. Feelings are the drivers. Mere repetition of phrases does little. Combined with enthusiasm and positive feelings the affirmations take hold and do their work. Repeat; repeat correctly!

You develop new habits doing the same positive behavior over and over again, correctly, for a long enough duration. It takes consistency and persistence. It takes time to condition ones body for health and beauty too. Everything takes some time. Be patient and optimistic.

When You Wake Up In The Morning You Simply Wake Up

Self-hypnosis can be helpful too.  Altering brain states is useful. Relaxing and listening to peaceful music while giving yourself positive suggestions is a worthwhile practice. Calm the mind and focus on your suggestions. Visualize and see yourself.

See yourself as you describe yourself in your affirmations. Imagine carrying out your tasks and living your life the way you want to be. Affirming while relaxing is the basis of self suggestion. A good time to do this is when going to bed, before sleep and upon waking up.

You can learn the art of self-suggestion or hypnosis from books and tapes. You want to relax but not fall asleep until you are finished with the process. Then sleep is fine. Meditation is a wonderful way to free yourself of old conditioning and awaken to who you are.

One Moment You Are Asleep Oblivious The Next Moment Awake

In meditation you learn to allow whatever is going on in the mind to go on without getting emotionally attached to it. You look at it as an impartial observer. You witness it without becoming involved in it. Typically, we follow wherever our thoughts take us. They lead.

The goal is to either be free of your thoughts as in meditation OR to choose you thoughts by managing them. In meditation you don’t choose you allow. However, it begins by learning the ability to focus. You might focus on your breath. Whenever distracted you return.

We can pay attention to the rise and fall of our belly. Simply place your awareness there. Whenever you become aware that you are no longer paying attention to your belly you return your attention to it. You will do that again and again. That is the process.

Don’t Wander Through Life Missing It – Wake Up To What Is

The process is learning to return your attention to what you are focused on. In managing your thoughts you do similarly. Whenever you notice you are not thinking positively you change your thoughts from negative to positive. You shift what you are doing. Get it?

In either practice you do it without blame or judgement. Just bring your attention back to the task at hand. Belly or positive thoughts. Eventually, in both you develop the ability to stay with it longer and longer. You condition yourself in positive and beneficial ways.

However, in mediation, you learn later to disengage and simply be the watcher of the thoughts. Imagine sitting near a stream and simply watching leaves float by on the water. Imagine clouds floating by in the sky. Our thoughts float by too. Instead of riding we watch.

You Didn’t Wake Up Today To Be Mediocre – Discover Yourself

Typically, whatever thought we think takes us into a series of other thoughts down the rabbit hole. Instead of traveling with the thoughts and getting emotional with them we watch without judgement. We are simply aware of them. Separate from them.

These methods are all quite simple to do. They each can help us wake up and go beyond what we have known previously. They help us experience other aspects of life we can’t know without having the experience. Give them the opportunity to work for you. Practice.

Affirmations and visualization, self hypnosis or mediation are wonderful processes. I’ll share another that is wonderful. Gratitude. Focus on being and feeling genuine gratitude for who you are. The simple practice of being appreciative is powerfully transformative.

If You Want To Be Happy You Have To Be Happy On Purpose

Be thankful for what you are, what you do, where you are, where you are on your journey and all that you have. Be thankful for what you don’t have yet. Be glad for all of it. Really feel it! Journal it. Celebrate and delight in it. When you do you change. You truly change. Give these methods a chance. You will be surprised. Most importantly, celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

An Easy Formula For Making The Changes You Want!

“Are you one of those people who gets down on yourself? Things  frequently don’t work out well? Perhaps, you blame yourself or your parents, your upbringing and social conditioning for your current mindset and woes. I’ve got some good news for you!

You can turn it around. You may not believe that yet, but you absolutely can. Ultimately, it is important that you do if you’d like to make some permanent. positive changes but you can begin right where you are. That’s what I did. That’s what everyone does.

The good news is you wouldn’t be programmed or conditioned as you were in the past unless you were programmable. This means you are pliable. You are able to be influenced and fashioned. Most of it happened when you were very young but it is true today too.

Think Positive – Be Positive – And Positive Things Will Happen

Your brain is able to grow and develop. When you learn and acquire new things your brain actually structurally changes. It is called ‘neuroplasticity’. Today, whatever age you are, you can change and grow and evolve for the positive when you take charge to do it.

What does that mean? Well, most of us walk around in the mindset we were conditioned to as a child. We live, almost as if we are in an hypnotic trance. Why do I say that? Because we react to life experiences without having to think about it. We are habitual.

We can wake up from that trance. We can wake up and discover your inner and outer resources. You can go beyond limiting beliefs and conditioned mindset and behaviors. You can wake up!  How do you awaken? It is actually quite simple. You decide to wake up.

We Are What We Repeatedly Do Make A Decision To Be Excellent

Make a decision now to begin to live in a more positive way even if you don’t know how. Think it. Say it. ‘Even though I am not completely sure how to begin I am learning how…’ That’s it. The first step is be willing to move forward. You don’t have to know how.

Affirm that throughout the day. Say it and mean it. Muster up as much emotional enthusiasm as you are able and think and say it enthusiastically. Mean it! Commit to it as much as you can. Renew your commitment and repeat every day. ‘I am a positive person’.

‘I think and feel  positive. I feel good about myself. I am in the process of learning to feel more positive. I am taking charge of my thoughts and actions. I am taking charge of my life. It feels good to be positive.’ Or some variation that is meaningful to you. Okay? DO IT.

Talking About Problems Is Our Greatest Addition – Break It

Spend a few concentrated moments each morning and evening. Then throughout the day whenever you are able to. Repeat it out loud or to yourself. To wake up from conditioned trance all it takes is concentration, your imagination and suggestion. You can wake up.

You can be free.  If you want your life to be different you must do different things from what you have been doing. You make some small changes that ultimately are quite powerful. Only 1% change a day will result in 365% change in a year. THAT is impressive. 1%!

Read a little positive inspirational material each day or listen to audios. I recommend, Napoleon Hill’s ‘Think and Grow Rich.’ Read a few minutes each day and think about what you read. Make a study of it. Easy does it, but reflect on it. Let it sink in. Make it part of you.

Break The Habit – Talk About Your Joys – Think I Can Do This

Make a list of 25 things that you are grateful for at bedtime. A great habit to develop is to write them in a journal. Find different things each day. If it seems tough at first that is okay. It gets easier as you get used to looking for these. You get what you focus on.

Gratitude is a great way to change everything about you and your life. Each morning I think and say this first thing. ‘I love my life! Something magical is going to happen to me today! I accept all the wonderful gifts of the universe! Today is my day! I love my life.’

You can too! Allow little things to delight and surprise you and you make room for bigger things. You condition yourself for thinking and feeling good. The little bits of time you spend doing this pay off big. See it in your mind, say it and it becomes your reality. It really does.

Imagination Is More Important Than Knowledge – Use It – Do It

Use your imagination and visualize yourself as you want to be. Imagine you are already there. You are that person and you are already doing those things. See it. Affirm it. Feel it. You will eventually live it. That is how it works from the inside out!

Concentration, imagination and suggestion. You do each just a little bit each day and you will be surprised how quickly you can change. Don’t bite off more than you can chew. Go at your own pace. Slightly challenge yourself to keep it interesting and celebrate everything!”

How To Stop Getting Crappy Results!

“Our outer world reality is determined by our inner reality. The results we get are products of the thoughts we think. At one time the chair did not exist. Someone conceived of it, thought it up, and made one. From idea to tangible item. That’s how it works.

Some suggest the outer world accurately reflects the inner. If the outer is peaceful and harmonious the inner is as well. If the outer world is in chaos and discord so is the inner reality. As within so without. This is an important concept to grasp and consider.

If our thoughts, our beliefs (thoughts we repeatedly think over and over) create our reality then it behoves us to think the very best thoughts in order to create the very best reality. It means we need to control our mind and master it or remain a victim to it. Get it?

Tell The Negativity Committee Inside You – Sit Down And Shut Up

Your mind learned to do what it does. It is habit. It is patterned. It is automatic. If you think negative thoughts, worry a lot, feel bad, you learned to be this way. It is chronic and it is habit you acquired while growing up. Since you learned it you CAN change it. You really can.

In order to do so you have to deliberately change it. You have to deliberately create new positive supportive thinking and feeling habits. Then the results you get will be a reflection of those new positive changes. Your outer world changes because your inner did.

Adopt the best possible beliefs. Affirm these. Declare them. Repeatedly expose yourself to these new thoughts. That is how you learned the old ones in the first place. Repetition and strong emotion. Use the same to create new positive thought habits.

Worry Is Misuse Of Your Imagination And Is Negative Planning

As a potential place to begin realize that enormous wealth and power are available to you right this moment. Abundance is yours! You don’t believe it? Of course not. You won’t if you listen to your old negative conditioning. Your old beliefs will make you think nonsense.

The old, which is only doing what it learned to do, is protecting you from changing. It isn’t trying to harm you, it is just keeping you consistent. That’s what it is designed to do. Keep you the same even if it hurts. Still, you can learn a new and better way. Think positive.

Think, ‘I deserve the best! I accept the best! I can learn to do anything I put my mind to. I accept abundance. I choose to think positive. Enormous wealth and power are available to me.’ Think it. Repeat it. Chant it eagerly, enthusiastically, excitedly, powerfully!

Don’t Ruin A Good Day By Thinking Bad Thoughts

Put some oompf behind it. Mean it. If you don’t at first keep chanting it until you do. Day in and day out. Make it your mantra. Make it your favorite song. Think it, feel it, be it! This is HOW you take control.

This is how you claim your mind back. You think and declare what you consciously decide to. You choose the thoughts you think and repeat them again and again with strong emotion. Words don’t mean much but emotions mean everything. Powerful emotions are critical.

Claim your mind back. Live from your strength not your weakness. Decide what you want to believe and make yourself believe it. The choice is yours? Would you rather believe you are powerful and fail at some things or believe you are helpless and fail at a lot.

What Consumes Your Mind Controls Your Life – Consider That

You determine the kind of life you live. How is it working for you so far? If you love it, wonderful. If it needs a little adjustment. Go for it. If you need a major overhaul, so be it. Take charge and take control. Claim it. Declare it. Make your word the law. Live your dreams.

Turn the within into something so incredible the outside delights you. Live from abundance. Live well because YOU DO deserve to. Find gratitude and be thankful you have this opportunity. It may seem slow at first but it accelerates. You will transform beyond your wildest dreams. Delight in all and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Stop Believing Lies

“Why do you believe lies? Why do any of us? Isn’t that fascinating? We are frequently misled? Why is that? Would it surprise you to hear me say I don’t care. Would it surprise you to hear me say I haven’t a clue. Why, in this case may be a pointless question.

Here is WHY. Hahahah! Everything is a lie. Anything we tell ourselves is most likely a lie. Why? Because much of it we adopted from others growing up. We believed what we were told. There is nothing stating emphatically that what they told us was accurate.

We have no actual way of knowing. Everything is really a matter of perception. We can’t know everything. We don’t know what we don’t know. We only have a fragment of what is occurring and that sliver we are aware of is just that, a sliver, not all of it.

What You Say Is What You Get – What You Focus On You Get

Bottom line. We believed what others have said. We believe conclusions we have drawn. All of which could be subject to many different points of view or interpretations which we NEVER consider.  We fail to think from varying different perspectives.

Normally, we think habitually.  The same as we always have. So most of what we tell ourselves good or bad is not accurate. Why believe any of it? Heck, I don’t know. What I do think we need to do is  develop some taste in choosing what to accept and reject.

I say reject foregone conclusions of failure. Stop limiting yourself by believing you can’t. Put an end to unsupportive thinking. Start believing, because you choose to, that success is a possibility. Believe you are worthy and can learn to do anything you commit to.

Affirmations Are Ongoing – Only Affirm What You Actually Want

Believe you can make things happen. Think that and work at that. Heck, why not? You choose what you want to believe. Henry Ford said, ‘whether you think you can or you think you can’t you are right.’ Choose to believe and accept that which serves you and helps you.

Choose those beliefs that move you forward and help you get what you want. No, I am not saying, ‘Believe you can fly by flapping your arms’. However, we do travel by air because people thought air travel was possible. They went to great lengths to make it happen.

They didn’t know how to fly until after they did it successfully. Once they flew they improved on it. All trial and error. They faced great opposition from those who thought they were crazy. Even their own family. Today, we fly because they believed they could and would!

Stop Creating More Problems – Stop Focusing On Problems

Recently, why flying over mountains I had this thought ‘Thank you Orville and Wilbur. I’m up here because you didn’t give up.’ It was an odd thought. Still, I felt quite grateful. I have flown lots for decades. Still, recently, I felt gratitude to two bicycle makers. Thank you!

Stop believing BS that doesn’t serve you. Stop believing thoughts that make you feel bad about yourself. If you did something wrong, feeling guilty or shame or remorse may be appropriate. Pledging to not ever do it again may be the right thing to do. Be accountable.

Take responsibility. It is the right thing to do. I’m not discussing at this level. I’m talking about feeling positive and optimistic that, if you commit to learning to make something happen, that you can do it, given enough time, materials, proper thinking and  attitude.

Create Solutions By Focusing On Solutions Create What You Want

You can learn to do it! You can enlist people or resources to help you. Don’t give up on yourself because of negative thoughts. Stop the negative thinking. Manage your thoughts. Control them. Choose to think positive and  discover the power to control your destiny.

Napoleon Hill said, ‘if you can conceive it and believe it you can achieve it.’ The point of the book can be summed up in the title, ‘THINK and grow rich’. How we use our thinking apparatus, how we think and what we think, is within our control. Discover this!

Most people don’t believe it. Therefore, they never learn to control it. They miss out on all the good that comes from running your own brain. Stop believing you can’t and start believing you can! Your beliefs either support you or they don’t. Choose ones that support.

Affirm What You Want – Stop Affirming What You Don’t Want

That is Hill’s premise. You can choose your thoughts and you can make great things happen when you think you can. Perception is everything. The glass has water in it. You decide whether it is half empty or half full. Decide the same about your abilities and your life. Either you can or you can’t. YOU Decide. It is up to you! Celebrate everything.” Rex Sikes

Ask Yourself This!!

Today, I’d like you to ask yourself an important question. Take your time to really carefully answer. I mean it. Ready, here goes: What if you took all the time and energy you spent complaining, making excuses, blaming and talking yourself out of things…

… and instead talked yourself into getting things done and then actually did them?

Life would be different, wouldn’t it? It’d be okay, right, if that is true? It probably would be better than okay because all your energy and thought would be lined up to concentrate on your goal. Go ahead and start making it different. Start affirming you can instead of can’t. Start spending your time wisely. Celebrate everything? Rex Sikes

If Your Want To Succeed And Be Happy You Must Learn How To Direct Your Mind

“If you haven’t yet mastered the art of affirmations this post is important for you to read. Some people can’t make them work because they just can’t seem to find an affirmation they are willing to believe and use. Remember, finding the sweet spot is critical.

To get good or great results with affirmations you need to emotionalize them and believe them. Remember, you want to make declarative statements you believe are possible and that you can and will make happen. If you feel bad or don’t believe it takes longer.

The sweet spot is affirming some goal or desired outcome that is big enough to provide a stretch but not so big you don’t believe it possible. You can always work up to the big, big, one, one step at the time. Anything is possible if you believe it is. It all works. it does!

If You Think You Can Or You Think Your Can’t You Are Right

You just have to know how to make it work and work it. Some people never figure it out and give up. Your big goal is at the top of the ladder. You don’t believe it is possible currently. So you make minor goals, like rungs on a ladder, that help you get there step by step.

If you still can’t figure that out the there are alternatives.  MyDirected Questions™ is powerful and fabulous whether or not you use affirmations. Questions direct what the brain pays attention to. You use wonder, curiosity of fascination to affirm what you want.

You begin to wonder how soon, at some point, you will find yourself delighted, to make 100 million dollars, and how incredible it will feel to make awesome discoveries along the way. You inch your way to it by getting really curious. You ask open ended questions.

Whatever You Can Conceive And Believe You Can Achieve

You don’t draw a line in the sand and say ‘I am this’ instead you consider how quickly and easily you can begin to find yourself delighting in doing those things that get you closer to making 100 million. You ask how soon you can find yourself feeling this?

‘How incredible can I feel as I begin the process of finding new ways to bring more money into my life.’ You don’t know the answer to that. You didn’t ask ‘will you’ or ‘won’t you’ or affirm you are or aren’t. You asked how good can you feel as something occurs.

You don’t know the answer to that question. Your brain has to look for an answer or multiple answers. It won’t stop with one answer, because it works by finding many. That is just what it does. So in using Directed Questions™ you work with how the brain works.

Imagine With You Mind – Believe With Your Heart …

You don’t ask, ‘will I make’ or ‘can I make’ 100 million dollars (although you could answer yes to this) you ask, ‘how delighted will I be to discover myself on the path to making 100 million dollars?’ or ‘what are the first steps I will amaze myself in doing that help me…’

You entertain the idea while asking questions around the idea. You don’t go at it directly but you direct your mind to look for answers and solutions and open yourself up to them along the way. You utilize what is called ‘Transderivational Search’. Search – get it?

TS means your brain continues to look for and find answers even after you stop asking. It seeks outside your awareness. Just as your Reticular Activating System (RAS) finds matches and associations for examples or memories you elicit your brain seeks answers.

… Achieve With Your Might – You Can Do Make It Happen

If you ask, what is the capitol of Arizona? Your brain doesn’t need to progress further than the answer. If you ask, ‘in how many different ways can I feel delighted while working on making 100 million’? your brain doesn’t know so it doesn’t know to stop. It keeps looking.

That is what you want it to do. Generate as many positive ways you can feel delighted while going after your goal. The result you want is two fold; the positive feelings and the numerous possibilities you generate. Now your brain works for you and there is no resistance.

You haven’t drawn a line in the sand. You have asked an engaging question that entertains and hooks the brain or mind to search for you. If you ask ‘why am I so stupid’ you will get numerous examples. If you ask ‘why am I so brilliant’ you will get numerous examples.

The Wise Person Doesn’t Give The Right Answers …

We already are using questions to direct our mind but most people don’t have the good taste to ask ones that make them feel better and accomplish more things easily. We have been conditioned to ask ‘what is wrong’ or ‘why I am I such a putz’ type questions.

At first, you may find it easier to get back one type of answer than the other, or you may find you get a negative answer more quickly, because you have asked these kind of questions from habit. Those neural pathways are well traveled. Well, they are, aren’t they?

Ask better, different positive ones and it may seem a little sluggish. The reason for this is your habits have been negative. It will still work in powerful and incredible ways but you need to develop the habit of asking powerful, positive, directed questions. Get it?

... The Wise Person Asks The Right Questions – Direct Your Mind

‘I don’t know how soon it will be before I make 100 million dollars but how much fun can I discover exploring the many different positive opportunities all along the way that help me to feel excited and filled with joy? How quickly and easily can I feel wonderful?’

Get it. Don’t be stuck. Start moving forward easily and effortlessly. ‘How delighted will I be to discover the many different ways I will make my dream come true all along the way? How much fun and enthusiasm can I feel each day as I consider this?

‘How much delight and enthusiasm can I begin to more fully feel as I take actions steps toward getting what I want? Even though I am not sure how to do it how quickly in how many different wonderful ways could I begin to find myself feeling amazed and delighted?’

Knowledge Is Having An Answer …

‘In how many different ways can I discover myself asking questions and making positive changes that bring me more of what I want? Remember, direct your mind to get what it is you want while describing how you want to get there is the key. Have fun!

Edison didn’t know how to make a working light bulb until after he made a working light bulb. The Wright brothers didn’t know how to fly an airplane until they flew one. Once they did it they knew how to do it and repeat it. Until they they were experimenting.

You will be experimenting too until you get your goal. Once you claim it you will be able to look back and see how you did it. SO stay open. Be available to everything. Stay positive and never lose faith and never give up. Keep pursuing and maintaining a positive frame.

… Intelligence Is Asking The Right Questions – Direct Your Mind

Keep your mind positive and aimed at making it happen and you can accomplish great things. AS you move forward you will become aware of other things you can think and do. You will adjust and adapt along the way. Just as a baby begins with baby steps, so can you.

Believe you can! If you don’t, yet, that may be the first area you want to work on. Get it? Of course you do and if not yet, you will. Direct your mind in positive ways. No one will do it for you. You have to do it if you want to enjoy the results. So do it. Have fun. Be grateful!

Feel positive and enthused. Feel wonder, enjoyment and curiosity as you ask your questions. Become like little child. Get really curious! Become fascinated. Explore and you will discover how easy it is. As you do enjoy, delight and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

First Awareness, Then Acceptance Now Affirm It!

What is the best way to begin to make changes? Simple. Decide to. Decide that you are beginning the PROCESS of changing your life for the better. Recognize or realize or accept that it is a process you initiate. To be in a process, is not unlike being in or on the river.

Wherever you find yourself on the river that is where you are. That is, from, where you begin. A process means ongoing as a river is. Go with the flow. Put your boat in. Let it take you to where you want to go. Paddle in the same direction. Don’t fight it. Go with it! Allow!

Don’t resist. Don’t try to go upstream. Let go and go with the current. You decided you want to make a change or begin making changes. Accept that you are beginning the process. Enjoy it. Don’t try to do to much or figure out the ‘hows’ yet. Just begin.

What You See Is What You Get

A great way to begin is to read some positive or inspirational material each day. Morning is a great time of day. When you start your day begin with a positive, inspired, optimistic, motivated mindset. Read Napoleon Hill, Wallace Wattles, or others.

Read for as long or as much as you can. Try for a half hour; too much, cut it down. Make a point to read even if it is only a page a day. Do it every day. Just as you eat each day to feed your body read to feed your mind. Think about what you read. Reflect on it. Practice it!

Study success. Study happiness. Learn from others. Find positive mentors and role models. Be wise about choosing mentors. I’ll share more in another post. Learn from those who do and have and are what you want to beWHO BEGAN as you did. Study their approach.

What You Say Is What You Get

Begin reading. Remember, our first step. Clarify what you want. I assume you already have done this or you are in the process. This is the 3rd post in a series. If you haven’t read the previous two please go back and read those first. Then return here. Clarify your purpose.

Know what you want. Specify it. Keep it in mind. Read and fill your mind with positive thoughts about your goal. Feel good about it. Think about it often during the day and affirm, ‘I can begin now to change my life.’ ‘I am in the process of making my dreams come true’.

You can substitute your actual dream for ‘my dreams’. ‘I am in the process of creating more happiness in my life’. ‘I am beginning the process of taking control of my money and becoming financially free.’ ‘I am learning to be smart about managing my money’.

What You Feel Is What You Get

‘I am in the process of learning to communicate better so I can connect with people and enjoy more lasting friendships’. ‘I am beginning to attract the right person into my life’. ‘I am deciding to be more open and tolerant of other people’s views.’ Whatever it is.

‘Even if I don’t know how I can begin to take tiny baby steps that move me forward to what I want’. Get it? You declare it. You make statements about how you are beginning the process of making the changes you want. Affirming is a great way to begin.

Up your energy and vibrational levels and affirm with enthusiasm. Why affirmations don’t work for some people is primarily two fold. One reason is they recite meaningless phrases with no emotional power behind them. The words aren’t what your brain responds to.

What You Think About You Become

Rote repetition doesn’t impact our brains or our being. We must emotionalize it.  We must use enjoyment, enthusiasm and power. Chant and declare what you affirm. Do it  loud, clear, with fun, energy and optimism! Think military boot camp. They chant a lot.

In armed services boot camps they chant as if their life depended on it because it does. They chant to wire in important concepts and habits. They do it for different purposes than we do; it works just the same. Our purposes are not so much survival based but could be.

Chant your affirmations. Shout them out with joy, Have fun and delight in doing them and mean it. Commit to these. Make them short, to the point, positive and energized. This makes the process work faster. Your brain learns from exaggerated examples!

What You Focus On Expands

Don’t be subtle. Your brain doesn’t learn by subtle. Be subtle only when surrounded by others at home or work and when you don’t want to draw attention to yourself. Otherwise GO FOR IT! Declare them and mean it. Believe it! Know it. Convince yourself completely!

By doing this you create new neural pathways and new positive habits. Enjoy the process! The other primary reason is people don’t believe them. They make too large a statement and then resist it. The declare ‘I can make 100 million this year’. It is too big a leap.

Certainly, it could be possible. BUT it is not that likely they will make that kind of money if they never have. Could they, yes. Is it possible, yes! Is it plausible or likely? Not so much. IT COULD happen, but usually a goal too big makes people doubt they will be successful.

What You Think About You Bring About

If you have never made big money before start with smaller sums. Make them big enough to stretch you but not so big as to seem impossible. Your goal should stretch and challenge you and maybe make you a little afraid but not too much. I will explain. Stretch!

You want to choose something that takes you out of your comfort zone. Something you do have to work at. Something that would exhilarate you when you make it happen. BUT, not something you don’t believe you could do and will do. You need to believe you can.

You want to eventually feel certain, not only you can, but that you will. When you choose something you feel certain you can make happen; and believe that you will; and you absolutely want to have it; then you have found your sweet spot. Then it IS likely you will.

If You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

Get it? You want to believe YOU WILL do it. This will be reinforced by your affirmations, too. You will come to believe it more if you don’t at first. Still, choose something you CAN believe. Those people who don’t, since they don’t truly believe they can, usually give up.

It isn’t that the process doesn’t work. It is that they didn’t choose wisely. Start smaller. Get some wins. Prove to yourself you can do it. Prove you can make it happen and gather wins Then increase the size of your wants and make those happen too. Experience matters!

For those people, since it is outside the sweet spot, they don’t feel good when they think about their goals and affirm them. Instead they doubt or feel concerned. They hope it will happen. They don’t feel they will absolutely make it happen. The mindset is different!

Believing Is Seeing – Perception Is Everything

It isn’t a winner, ‘I CAN DO ANYTHING’ mindset. It is a ‘gee I hope I do this right and get what I want some day, but it probably won’t work and then I’ll be worse off than before’ mindset. Do you understand? Those people are defeated before they begin.

They abandon the affirmations because it doesn’t feel right or good when they affirm. The give up and then state, ‘I tried affirmations and they don’t work.’ You are beginning a process. Accept you are a beginner. Take baby steps. Fill your mind with positive thoughts.

Implement these practices. Use positive affirmations powerfully. This, is and area  where my Directed Questions™ is absolutely beneficial to use. I will share more about this later. For now, read, affirm and imagine already having what you want in the future.

Live The Future You Want Right Now As If It Is Already Yours

Affirm, declare, command and own. Own your future. YOU make it happen. You create and you attract. Enjoy learning to do this. Enjoy the process. Be grateful and express your gratitude freely. Make a list daily. Feel appreciation for everything! That makes you feel better all around. Plus, you’ll feel more positive. Enjoy everything and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

How To Give Up Old Unproductive Ways And Become New!

“Life challenges us sometimes. Sometimes it’s snaps and breaks us. It isn’t the size of the problems. It’s not because the challenges are so large, the obstacles so overwhelming, or the problem so insurmountable that we break. It is because we are so rigid.

We are not flexible.  We don’t give and take and roll with the punches. That is why we break. If we were like the tall reed, we would bend this way and that. Because we are rigid stress cracks us. It breaks us.  Sometimes that is just the way it is or the way it was.

Sometimes we break. No use crying about water over the damn. That’s what was. That is what it is.  So get up dust off and move forward again.  Yes, it may be hard but do it anyway. Here’s the lesson:  sometimes you break and sometimes you bend.

A Storm Breaks Trees – It Only Bends Grass

Sometimes you’ll apply the lessons you’ve been learning in maintaining a positive attitude, being happy, staying centered, in a challenging situation and you will surprise yourself. You may have resolved to stay calm and centered during life’s toughest moments.

That’s how it works. It goes from being really hard applying what your learning to easier and easier. Ultimately, you learn to do new things. The old habits give way to the new habits you acquire. Once the new habits take hold it is much different. Until then…

In the midst of turmoil you might find that you’re not as agitated as you would have been in the past. You discover you are  much more centered. Calmer. Perhaps, not as much is you hoped, but more than you might otherwise have been in dealing with a huge issue.

The Reed Bends With The Wind – Stands Straight After The Storm

You stayed calmer than you would have in your past. You remained more centered. That is huge! That is a big awareness. That is good! Whenever you find yourself behaving along the lines of the direction you’re moving toward, celebrate! Acknowledge it! Become aware.

Make a point of treating it as something special! Pat yourself on the back. Give your self a hug. Gift yourself in someway for doing that. Celebrate doing that which you want to be doing more of. Be grateful you did it because you open the door to do it again  more.

When you gift yourself now for behaving as you want to you’ll get more in the future. That which you focus on expands. Be grateful for the little you do now because you’ll do a lot more later! That’s  how you learn! First it seems all up hill, you struggle. Later, you coast.

Baby Steps Are Better Than  No Steps – Keep Moving Forward

You move forward, you grow and evolve, by emphasizing and exaggerating those positive things you do. You put your energy and attention into it so that in the future you will continue to behave in these productive ways. Praise yourself when you notice. Practice!

Acknowledge and appreciate. Feel grateful for any tiny movement in the right direction. Nurture and encourage. One day in the not too distant future you will be doing more of the same positive productive behaviors. Keep at it. Don’t quit. You’ll develop the habit.

You will make it much easier on yourself and move forward more rapidly if you don’t berate yourself for screwing up but instead praise yourself for moving forward. Ignore the mistakes, except to learn from them. Correct and continue. Praise when you do well.

What We Want To Do With Ease We Must First Do With Diligence

Then, soon, you will wire in the new behaviors. Correct repetition over a long enough period of time will become habit. The easier you make it on yourself the more quickly you are able to change. The more you resist the more the old way persists. Stop resisting.

Start nurturing. Start welcoming. Stop worrying. Stop obsessive monitoring. Stop unnecessary commentary. Start acknowledging. Start encouraging. Start affirming.  You will move forward faster and easier. Be thankful. Delight in all and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

End The B S Here And Now!

“Has anyone ever provided you with the wrong or false information? You didn’t realize that it was inaccurate of false so you acted on it as if it were true. Perhaps, it was directions to an address  you followed and ended up at the wrong place. Perhaps, you got the wrong name?

Someone told you something about another person you acted on or believed. Later, you learned it was completely untrue. It was a lie! We all have believed gossip at times, right? People have provided you falsehoods that you believed were reliable but they weren’t.

What did you do when you learned the ‘truth’? Besides being upset or getting even what did you do when you learned the correct information? Once the lie was exposed as a lie did you continue to believe it? Some will, perhaps. Did you? Did you change your mind?

Stupid Is Knowing And Seeing The Truth – Still Believing The Lies

Did you change your thinking about the person? Did you correct and go to the right address? Did you make a shift of some kind? Did you carry the lie around for years once you knew it was a lie or did you drop it? Perhaps, you vowed to never believe the person who lied.

Perhaps, you later learned THAT person also believed the lie and spread it. Believing it to be accurate or true they shared it, they repeated it. Perhaps, later they learned it was a mistake, too. Lies are lies after all. Sometimes difficult to tell. Silly, sometimes to blame.

Why then, do you continue to believe the lies told to you about the world, money, love, and you? My recent blog was about our early conditioning and learning to free ourselves up from the limitations we inadvertently grew up with. We adopted other’s beliefs.

Give Yourself The Chance To Discover Who You Really Are

If you don’t like it when others lie to you STOP lying to yourself. Stop perpetuating negative myths about yourself and the world. Stop it! Stop It ! Stop It! Get really tired of it and DROP IT! Quit. Say, ‘that is enough!’ and start living free of those lies. Stop believing limitations.

We co-opted other’s versions of what IS; of what is true. Much it is unreliable. Much of it is negative, can’t do it thinking. Much of it is how the world or you is broken somehow. Much of it is how conditions suck and are difficult and touch. There isn’t enough!

We are running out. Money is hard to earn. Only the greedy get rich. You must postpone happiness. It is better to do without than to live well.  Love is difficult to find. You aren’t good enough. The myriad of B.S. that surrounds us and fills us IS endless. (redundancy intact)

Life’s Challenges Are There To Help You Discover Yourself

Yet, we believe it. Some never realize they have been lied to. Albeit not always intentionally were we lied to but the result is the same. We grew up adopting the limited mindset of others. Others propagated the untruths purposefully or unintentionally.

Some won’t wake up or refuse to wake up to this. That is okay, let them sleep. Others realize they have been lied to and get angry but do nothing about it. Others rage against the world and the lie tellers and never get over the hurt. Others notice it, wake up and let it go.

Some tell themselves more positive, useful, lies that help them live the life they want. The bottom line is every statement of thought or belief is incomplete. The ultimate is unknown. You can’t know what you don’t know, yet. Forget ultimate truth and live from useful lies.

You Can Affirm The Positive Or The Negative – It Is Your Choice

Affirm those positive thoughts that move you further ahead in life and help bring you the people, activities and things you want. Believe those things that help you and help you help others. Believe those lies that free you up, make you nicer, kinder, and more loving.

Stop affirming the negative lies you believed for so long in the past. Start believing the world is a wonderful place and you are a wonderful person. Believe you can do anything when you learn how. You can learn anything because in your life you already have.

You learned to roll over, sit up, balance, crawl, walk, feed yourself, bathroom habits, walk, read and write, work with numbers, play games, tell lies, tell ‘truths’ communicate with others, work, love, hate, feel good, feel bad, you have learned so very much.

The Privilege Of A Lifetime Is To Become Who Your Truly Are

You are wired to learn. SO learn something new. Learn something useful. Learn how to make you life grand. Learn to think positive, feel wonderful, live joyously, succeed elegantly and do whatever good things you want. You can learn to do it. Give yourself permission.

If you must give yourself permission to do it. DO so! Allow yourself to succeed and make money. Allow yourself to be happy and rich. Allow yourself to have incredible family relationships, sexual relationships and friendships. Live to the fullest. You deserve to!

AND YOU CAN! You absolutely can learn how. You can learnt o stop the lies! Stop listening to the ones you have been telling yourself. Quit accepting those. Put them to rest. Drop the negativity, the excuses, the blaming, the winning, the ‘I can’t’ the ‘It’s too hard’ stuff.

Stop Believing Other’s Lies About You And About The World

End the ‘economy sucks’ thinking. Get with the program. Most of the really rich didn’t inherit it. They made it. You can too. Most of the happy people have lived through incredible hardship and pain. Life is whatever it is. Accept it. Determine to make your life what you want.

Stop buying into B.S. and start living your own truth. Affirm thoughts that make you powerful, positive, confident, loving, kind, cooperative, generous, supportive, committed, dedicated, playful, fun, honest, loyal, dynamic, charismatic, attractive, and more.

Live the good life because you can. For no other reason than that. Live large and enjoy life. Stop being petty and limiting yourself.Stop being stingy with life and good feelings. You deserve all the good things there are in existence. Tap into it. Free yourself up.

Life Isn’t About Finding Yourself – Life Is About Creating Yourself

Live in appreciation. Live with gratitude. Open the doors to blessings. Challenges only make you stronger if you realize everything is a blessing. Be thankful! Stop being a wimp. Start being a champion. Live, love, laugh and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

How To Get What You Want: The Law Of Attraction Or Neuroscience Which Is It?

“It doesn’t matter whether you believe the Law Of Attraction to be real or not real. Simply consider it a working principle, like gravity. Whether you accept it or not doesn’t matter. Gravity doesn’t rely on you accepting it for the consequences of it to be real.

I don’t think the Law Of Attraction is some magical law that makes the outer world bend to your will. I think of it as The Law Of Cause And Effect. For every cause there is an effect. The notion of like attracts like is simple, birds of a feather flock together.

I don’t make a big, magical, mystical deal about it. I don’t make a big deal over gravity either. I don’t believe or disbelieve in gravity, I accept it as what is. Perhaps, that IS believing, but I go about my day and let gravity do its thing. It will whether I care or not.

Whether You Think You Can Or Think You Can’t You Are Right

Some may prefer to think of the Law Of Attraction as neuroscience seems to regard it. It is a matter of your perceptions and what you believe. Our outlook, our frame of mind, our neurological filters govern what we experience as reality.

Our brain and senses govern our connection with ‘out there’. This is what connects us to the ‘outer world’. Without our consciousness we don’t experience the outer world. Yes, it may actually exist if we don’t, but who can actually say. Einstein preferred to think it does.

Still, if you are in a coma, you may NOT experience the world as we know it. You may but not remember it, you may experience other things or you may not at all. I don’t think the jury is in on that one yet. Prior to human consciousness no one determines a day good or bad.

Birds Of A Feather Flock Together

No one complained about the weather. That takes weather and a human AND a purpose. If you plan to plant and the weather destroys your seeds one might consider this NOT a good thing. Because you wanted to plant and now you can’t it sucks. That is what humans do.

Humans add a judgement to what is. They add the value. They make it one up or one down when the reality is IT just IS. So people do the same with ‘faith’, and with ‘science’. We judge everything! We judge everything from our own limited perceptual maps and filters.

We, according to ‘neuroscience’, KNOW that we can’t KNOW everything but we act as if we do. We often act as if we ARE the authority and as if what we THINK is the case, is the case. It most probably isn’t but that doesn’t matter to us. We think it is.

Awareness Is Needed For You To Deliberately Change

So neuroscience is all about your neural pathways and perceptions and consciousness or awareness. It looks at our how awareness has evolved through time. Philosophy and religion do too. All of it is our best guesses about the nature of things.

I believe that we have an opportunity to get our brain and mind to work for us instead of seemingly against us. I believe our brain and mind IS important in how we experience the world and the results we get or don’t. I believe it does matter what we think and do.

Without human thought none of our human creations would exist. Thought created this world as we know it, good and bad. None of our buildings, roads, electronics would exist without thought and the ability to carry out plans. These exist because of thinking.

Thought Or Mental Action Precedes All Action 

Thought is a powerful creative force. Some people are free because of their thoughts some are imprisoned. Literally and figuratively. How we go through our daily life is dependent on the daily thoughts we think. Our results stem from our mindset and attitude.

Our feelings and actions, our habits are dependent on what we are thinking. Good thoughts lead to good feelings which lead to good actions and good habits. This pathway leads to good results. Are the results guaranteed? Nope, but they are more likely than not.

If you work at it and never give up you are bound to get further than the person who thinks they can’t or won’t. If you start and keep going  you are bound to get further than the person who never starts regardless of whether you know what your are doing or not.

You Reap What You Sow – What Have You Planted

It’s has everything to do with self alignment. You think and then you do and get back according to your thoughts and actions. Cause and effect, the Law Of Attraction or neuroscience, or pseudoscience you act and reactions occur. You shove and someone shoves back.

Get it?  You don’t have to make it mystical. You can see it happen everyday. You can see thought bring about results in action each moment. All you have to do is look and listen. Watch the people who whine and complain and what they think is preventing them.

Regardless of their answers or assignment of cause, the bottom line is, if they are complaining about not getting, they aren’t getting. It isn’t benefiting them to complain IS IT? Blaming not planting on the weather still means not planting. Until you plant nothing happens.

Don’t Expect Corn If You Plant Beans – You Reap What You Sow

YOU have to do it regardless of what you THINK prevents you. Obviously, I mean this to be about getting the good you desire for yourself and others in honest and legitimate ways. A conscience is still a good thing. More people need to use it.

Your thoughts affect how you  feel and the results you are able to get. It’s not magic but seemingly magical. So whether you believe you connect with the Universe or the Law Of Attraction bestows things on you or that your brain is doing it all doesn’t matter.

Just get your mindset straight and working for you. Think and grow rich as Napoleon Hill said. Think and create. Think and attract. Think and make your good thoughts happen because you are the principle thinker and architect of those thoughts. Do it. No one else will.

You Can Plant Flowers Or Weeds Which Are You Planting

Find or attract like minded people who are interested in making the same thing happen as you are and work together in harmony and precision. That is loosely the basis of a mastermind group. Birds of a feather flock together whether they are thoughts or birds.

Like minded people accomplished great things in this world in spite of experts and others, and their parents, telling them they couldn’t and that they would fail. They triumphed in spite of hardship, bad weather, raging seas, opposing forces and armies.

Most succeeded because they believed they would and because they felt they must. They thought straight into it. They acted their way forward. They let nothing stop them. Whether they believed in god or not they did it. You can too. You can make it happen.

To Get More Good You Must Think More Good And Do More Good

You don’t have to believe the Law Of Attraction is real or not. You don’t have to accept neuroscience. Make it happen because you believe you can make it happen. Then work to do it. If you believe in your purpose and in yourself you can bring it into being.

You can enlist the aid of others if necessary. Most things need others sweat or finances. People need people to move things along. Be nice. Go first if you want others to join you. Treat them well and be a person they can like, trust and be loyal to. Live high standards.

Think your way to success. Aim your thoughts. Manage them and your emotions and you can prevail. Be the Law Of Attraction in action and draw all good things unto you. Believe you can. Believe you can find or create away around any obstacle. Then you will.

Your Thoughts Make It So – Perception Is Everything

Attitude IS everything. Enjoy life to the fullest. Have fun. delight. Make it delicious. All work and no play, you know! Stop and smell the roses. Share your delights with loved ones and others. Be generous not stingy. Feel thankful and blessed and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
