How To Use Your Mind And A Pen To Get What You Want

We’ve discussed how many people don’t like their circumstances. They want things different yet they keep getting the same results. If you want your life to change you must change things in your life. You can’t keep doing the same things and expect your life to be different.

Review:  To change. First, you must be clear about what you want. One way to do this is to get absolutely clear about what they don’t want. THEN, and this is critical, once you know what you do not want you must  turn your back on it. Drop it, let it go.

Then put all your focus, your attention, your energy on what you absolutely know you do want. Use what you don’t want to clarify what you do want. For example, you don’t want the freeway to be backed up, you want your ride to be sooth and easy and quick.

Elaborate And Describe The Good You Want In Vivid Detail 

You don’t like bad service in restaurant you prefer good food served polite and friendly. When things arise that you do not want, that you do not like, stop, and decide what it is you would rather have. Focus on what you prefer and that you do want and like.  Maintain that!

Focus on what you do want. Get it? Get clear about what you do not want and then focus on what you do want exclusively. This requires you choose. You make a choice, a decision on what to focus. When you make the decision your life begins to transform.

Your life begins changing for the better because you stop telling and re-living the story of what you don’t want. Once you free yourself of the old, broken, undesirable way you are free to live it the way you want to. To make the new life a reality you must attend to it.

Every Day May Not Be A Good Day But There Is Good In Every Day

You must maintain the new story. This must become predominant. Tell the story of the reality you want to live. Not only tell it, be it. In your mind, act as if it is all already yours. You already are the person you want to be. Pretend the future reality IS ALREADY your reality.

Feel and do what you want to be feeling and doing. Imagine you already have those things you want to have. You brain, your subconscious will help you get whatever you imagine. If you think, ‘I want this in the future’, it will always remain off in the future.

You must think, ‘I have this right now’. This is what you presently live and enjoy. It is all right now. It is your present reality. Use present tense words to describe it. Feel it as if are it right now. You are living it. The feelings of having it right now ARE what make this work!

See – Feel – Speak – Write It:  1st Action Steps To Make It Reality

Feel it and believe it. The more you feel it is your current reality the more you will believe it. You nurture your feelings and your belief about it. You make it as real as possible. Enjoy it. This is your inner transformational work. This is how you get the mindset right.

You don’t have to tell others about the brand new car parked in your driveway, but you imagine it. Stop talking about your clunker car, the one you hate, and find the present good. Discover all there is to be grateful for. Don’t dwell on the problems dwell on the good things.

Express the good. Talk only about the good. Don’t whine or complain. Tell a different story about how reliable and wonderful your car is. While you do this imagine driving the new car now. Live that reality inside. That is the story you need to focus on.

See It Hear It Feel It Taste It Smell It – Act As If You Have It Already

Live the conclusion.  What thoughts would you think if you got what you wanted? How would you feel? What would you be doing? How would you look, walk, stand and sit after you got your goal? What would your voice sound like? Who might you be with?

Make your visualization vivid. You want to feel it. Live it. Enjoy it, as if you have it right now. Act as if. Keep a journal and fill it up. Write down how it feels to presently enjoy… (the new car). Describe everything you can. Have fun journaling. Write a bit each day.

Write how it feels to drive it. Describe it. How does it sound. How much you love to hear the engine. The comfort of the seats and the feel of the ride. How it feels to see it parked in your driveway. The places you love to go. The comments people make.

Write Down Your Goals And Your Reasons For Obtaining Them

What it was like to drive it off the lot. Stick with writing and telling the new story you want. Re-live each day, your future in advance. One day when you will have what you want you will think, feel and behave in certain ways. Do that now. Write about it.

Make that future real to you in your imagination. When you imagine. Writing it down helps you make those images. Actually, write it with a pen and paper, don’t type it. You can also make a vision board. Put pictures of what you want on a piece of car board. Or on your mirror.

Keep the idea, fresh, fun and alive in your mind. Whether you do this a lot or once or twice a day is up to you. The point is to get the feelings of the changes you want to bring about. Think it and feel it first, believe it and you can have it. Okay? Celebrate everything! Rex Sikes

“You try but screw up. Things don’t work out. You end up with crap. Have you felt like this? You’re spinning your wheels getting out of debt or overcoming difficulty? What on earth is going on and why is it so hard? Would you like to know what you can do to change this?

Would you like to know what is possibly going on? From one standpoint the answer is simple. Negative manifestation. The results you keep getting are not the results you want to get. So why does it keep happening? What must you do differently to change it?

Napoleon Hill said, ‘If you can conceive it and believe it you can achieve it.’ That’s what most people do to bring about disasters. If you are like most people it is because of what your focus in on. It is how you use your mind. We all tend to do this! Imagine the worst.

Our Feelings Are The Product Of What We Think

People don’t realize they are already powerful creators. We have been conditioned to believe that things just happen to us. It is true they do. We are taught to believe we have no control over our circumstances and to an extent this is accurate as well.

However, if you want to change your lot in life there are some simple things you must do. The first is to adjust your mindset and take 100% responsibility for everything that happens to you. You must understand you create it all. Even, if not completely true.

When you accept full responsibility for everything going on you begin to access your inner strengths and power. Even if you don’t actually create it, if you act as if it you do, if you accept responsibility for it you begin to have a say in it. Then you don’t blame or excuse.

Our Results Are The Product Of What We Think

Your mind begins to look for solutions because you are responsible. You are up for the task. If you got yourself into it you get yourself out of it. Most people won’t want to do this because of their prior younger conditioning. They want to blame others and things.

By blaming they miss out on tapping into their power. It is a natural tendency to blame and excuse, to point fingers, and find fault elsewhere. Blame and excuses doesn’t actually help anything. It doesn’t help to blame others or circumstances or oneself. Stop it!

Let go of the blame game. Accept the responsibility for what is and then shift your focus from what is going on to what you want to be going on instead. Move your attention from the crap to the potential. Focus on the desired outcome not present circumstances.

The Moment You Take Full Responsibility – Everything  Changes

When people have problems AND the reason most people do is that most people imagine the worst things they know can happen. They imagine the axe is  going to fall and it does. They have focused on the difficulty and worry and fear for the worst. Then they  get the worst.

They succeeded in helping make the bad thing happen. They created it. They supported it. They allowed it. Even though they didn’t want it they attracted it. In order to change your current reality from not so great to better or to great you must understand this principle.

Even if you don’t think it is true, if you accept it as if it were, and act accordingly, you will begin to experience positive change. You may create great positive change. But, to do so you must embrace it and live from it. You must understand it and change what you are doing.

You Cannot Escape The Consequences Of Your Thoughts

Here is the concept. The universe ONLY says yes. You get whatever you want or whatever you don’t want by what you put your attention on most. If you say ‘NO, I don’t want it’. You get more of it. If you say ‘Yes, I want it’. You get more of it. That is how it works.

You get back whatever you put out. Imagine standing in front of your bathroom mirror and you smile. What do you see reflected back at you? Imagine standing there and frowning. What do you see back at you? Now make a worried, anxious face. What is reflected back?

The principle is attraction. You attract back whatever you are. If you are worried about something you end up with more to worry about. Most people are exquisite creators of crap. Crap magnets! They want it to be different but they keep doing the same things.

You Are Already A Powerful Creator – Now Own Up To It

If you do the same things again and again you don’t get different results. If you frown into the mirror you don’t get back smiles. It would be silly to expect to. To get smiles you must be smiling! If you accept this and determine to work with this you can make changes.

People are successful at creating crap. They are successfully creating crap.  Success breeds success. The more you practice something the better you become. People get really good at creating poverty, lack of love, trauma drama and lots of negative experiences.

Are you tired of trauma drama? If you are getting lackluster results you can change it. If you like what you are getting keep on getting it. If you don’t enjoy your present circumstances and you want better then there are things you can put into motion that help.

You Are Already A Powerful Attractor – Now Own Up To It

You can stop creating the life you don’t want and begin to create the life you do want using the very same process you have already been using, mentioned by Napoleon Hill. Instead of conceiving or imagining dire results imagine what you want instead. See the good.

Use the very same process that you’ve already been using to get what you don’t want in life to begin getting what you do want. Take control of your mind to focus on what it is you want. Maintain the focus on what is good and what is positive. Keep this focus!

Then believe that you’re going to get that, without doubt. Believe that with certainty and you end up bringing that about. Belief comes from maintaining continual focus on it while affirming it in your mind using positive strong emotions. Feel happy. Feel good.

Decide What Kind Of Creator And Magnet Your Are Going To Be

When you fear the consequences of crap results, THAT is a strong emotion. Fear, worry, sadness, anger lock you up. When you think and imagine the worst and feel frustrated or lost you combine your imagination with strong emotions. This is how you create it!

To get the best results you need to imagine while feeling the best feelings. Confident, happy, enthused, exhilarated. Use the same formula but with positive different components. Imagine what you want while feeling with confident. Consider this for a moment.

Have you ever known for sure something bad was going to happen and it did? It’s like you predicted it. Some people are certain they won’t have enough money at the end of the month and they worry about it. They feel dread. At the end of the month, guess what?

If You Aren’t In Charge – Who Did You Give The Charge To

Frequently, it turns out as expected. These people, you and I, are using our minds powerfully to succeed at getting exactly what we do not want whenever we do this. We could be using our minds to get better results, but frankly, no one ever really told us we could.

We grew up blaming and worrying about circumstances. We weren’t told we could be the master of our circumstances. So we practiced creating and attracting crap a lot. Oh, yes, sometimes we also make some pretty good things happen but not consistently.

Life is okay instead of incredible.  So, this is why you create crap in your life. You’re using the method that works. It always works. It doesn’t stop working.  The results you end up with, depend on how you use your mind. YOU get what YOU focus on. Get it? Yes, maybe?

What You Feel Is What You Get – You Get What You Focus On

The easiest way to change it is to focus on feeling your best. Do those little and positive things that bring you more enjoyment throughout each day. Find ways to smile and laugh more. Remember, you get back what you put out. Appreciate what you have. Enjoy!

Be truly grateful. Feel it. Let the mirror give you back wonderful feelings by feeling wonderful first. How do you feel wonderful, you ask? BY what you focus on. If you worry about crap you will feel crappy and worried. You must change your thoughts. Get it? Maybe?

You must change what you give your energy and attention to. Maybe you have to change your thoughts dozens of times in an hour but that is what you must do. If you do it you will gain control of it eventually. You get back what you practice. Success breeds success.

See It – Declare It – Speak it – Make It Happen – Bless Heal Prosper

Think positive, happy thoughts. Train yourself to do this. No one can do it for you. You have to do it. It requires commitment and persistence AND the pay off is spectacular. Think better thoughts. Smile into the mirror. Notice from moment to moment your feelings.

Are you feeling positive or not? Are you feeling good? If not shift your thoughts so that you do. Thoughts precede action. It is difficult to go uphill thinking downhill thoughts. Your thoughts determine how and what you feel. There are actions you can do to feel better.

Focus on the good you already have and feeling grateful. Take some time for yourself. Get a massage. Have a bath. Read something nice. Have an enjoyable meal. Skip, sing, get outdoors. Help someone else feel good. Change your mind, change your state of being. Feel better.

Accept Total Responsibility For Your Life And Everything About It

Don’t wait. Those who wait – wait. Be proactive. If you want to feel better you can’t wallow in the muck. You have to get yourself out of the muck. THEN leave the muck alone. Drop it. Let it go and move to where you’d rather be. Some people leave and miss the muck. STOP!

If it is to be it is up to you. You can change it. You can do it. If you realize you alone are responsible for everything you will take charge because you don’t expect anyone else to swoop in to save you. You don’t expect things to magically change on their own. You do it!

You keep doing it. You live from courage and discipline and positively charged power. Positive thinking may not solve everything but it is far better than negative thinking. If you want to feel great you have to think great too! Smile and the mirror smiles back!

At any moment you can WONDER what is in your mirror. Take a look. If it isn’t what you want – make it so it is. Create what you want. Change yourself so what is reflected back IS what you want. “Success creates confidence. Don’t bite off more than you can chew. Take it one step at a time and gather confidence by becoming competent first. Each time you succeed you are capable of bringing about more success. Then even more success. This is how it works.

Some people start off way too big. If you believe you can make it happen and know that with certainty that you will, big is fine. If you have doubts and don’t believe you can make it happen, then start smaller. Begin as tiny as you have to but still keep it desirable.

If it is too easy or isn’t desirable or interesting you won’t go after. You have find the ‘sweet spot’ where it is just enough stretch but not too much. It needs to be big enough to challenge AND you still have to believe it is possible for you to attain it. Faith is necessary.

Whatever You Can Conceive And Believe You Can Achieve

Search until you find the right thing. Your Definite Chief Purpose or Aim is what you want in life. Your mission. Your reason for being on the planet. Usually, it involves you and your contribution to the world and your legacy. You need to find your purpose in life.

From your purpose you find the steps that take you to it. You absolutely keep your purpose in mind, behind the steps. Think of it this way. You want to get to L. A. from the East coast and you set your travel markers. You know where you want to end up.

You get there step by step. Make sure your first step is something that you want, that captures you, but is easy enough to get, while still challenging you to stretch some. AS you build confidence the steps can increase in size and importance.

Inch Your Way To Great Success You Will Get There Soon Enough

The reason for this is to build on your successes. When you do that you remain motivated and persistent. If it doesn’t work or it is boring you may not be inclined to continue. If you give up along the way to you Definite Chief Purpose you are not going to get it. Is this clear?

Some people make 20 K a year. They make their Definite Chief Purpose 1 million or more dollars so they can live how they want while helping others. If you want it and ABSOLUTELY believe you can make it happen that is fine. Your goals should stretch you!

However, if you can’t believe it completely, it is wiser and better to start with smaller wants. Go for 30, 40 or 50 thousand first. Then 100,00. If you begin to big, don’t quit, just readjust the size of your first step. Keep going and keep making it happen step by step.

Dream Big – Think Long Term – Take Baby Steps To Get There

In fact, a good practice is to start stocking up some successes daily. To do this you can count nearly anything as a success. Your goal is to get to work on time. Get up 15 minutes earlier. After that becomes habit go for 30 minutes earlier. Keep adding time until it works right.

Do it and you’ll feel more successful. Your goal is to do the dishes tomorrow. Do them, get it done. When you set small daily goals and cross them off as completed you will be building successes and feeling good along the way. Keep a list of successes.

Doing dishes. Clearing the table. Taking out the trash. Making your bed. Cleaning a room. Cleaning your desk or office. Washing the car. Anything! Anything at all. Determine what you intend to do and do it. These things build your daily success list.

To Succeed – Desire For Success Should Exceed Fear Of Failure

Each night write down your list of successes for the day. Write down all the things you crossed off your list. Be sure to write down those specifically applicable to your Definite Chief Purpose too. Make succeeding a habit and you’ll develop unstoppable confidence.

The most important aspect of this is to keep your word. Do what you say you will do. Don’t go to bed with unfinished business. Don’t break promises.Don’t make your list of to-dos too large. Do as many as you are able that stretches you without overwhelming you.

How do you eat an elephant. One bite at a time. Drop by drop the tub fills. Instead of being overwhelmed or feeling like you can’t do it all, or that you don’t believe you are likely to get your goal, chunk it down. Anything can be accomplished when it is small enough.

When You Change The Way You Look At Things …

You can manage each piece of it or step along the way. This is crucial for you to understand and here is why. By learning to be successful incrementally you are building confidence and learning that you can be successful doing anything you put your mind to.

You memorize the feelings. You grow new neural pathways. You evolve yourself and develop new successful habits. You change and grow positively. How marvelous is this? Pretty incredible right. But, there is more to it. This is where the rubber hits the road – problems.

Whenever you are faced with insurmountable odds. Whenever you are face with really big issues, problems, challenges or obstacles if you chunk them down, and you can because you have been practicing this, you can handle ANYTHING that comes your way!

… The Things You Look At Change – Perception Is Everything

Size matters! The smaller the easier to deal with. Because you learn how to resize things and make them work for you, because you have spent time practicing bite size successes you can do the same thing for any problem that comes your way. Chunk it down. Make it small.

Try it on the smaller issues first. Build a success record managing obstacles and difficulties. Soon you will be pretty darn good. You will build positive success steps toward your goal while learning to dismantle any issues holding you back, or that you may encounter.

Chunk it down. You eat an elephant one bite at a time. It may take you longer but you can handle it. You can accomplish anything you want. You can overcome any obstacle one bite, one drop at a time. Overall you become more successful and much more confident.

Build The Wins All Along The Way – Success Breeds Success

Continue on toward you Definite Chief Purpose. Remember, to enjoy the process. Enjoy right now! This is crucial for all success. Now is all you have. Tomorrow is built on your thoughts and feelings right now. Feel successful and confident today and you’ll be more so tomorrow and you’ll make your dreams come true. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

“I have received numerous requests to discuss money. It is a worthy topic to explore and we will over a few posts. Today, more than ever people are getting rich and going broke. Disparity between the haves and those who have nothing is great. Let’s examine money.

From my teens on I have been fortunate to spend a lot of time around the finest brains, talent and wealthy in the world. I always found a way to get to the people I wanted to study and learn from. I have learned much from many and I willingly share it.

I am not a financial advisor. I can’t advise you in any manner. I  share with you information but you need to seek wise counsel for anything you might do regarding the information you read here. You should want to do this anyway. I can’t give you monetary or legal advice.

You Must Focus On Abundance To Have More Abundance

From the rich, I will share two principles I have learned, today. We will explore more in posts to come. This wisdom is also available from others in other forms you can search and find. I found it valuable to know and to practice. You decide what you do with it.

The first is Pay Yourself First. With each pay check or any money you receive, take a percentage as payment for yourself. Sock it away. Today, the bank gives you nothing in the way of interest and inflation will consume it before long. Find an investment that earns for you.

This is why you need honest and wise professional consultants in the financial arena to help you put your money where it will grow and work for you. Right now, you may mostly work for your money and what you want to do is have your money work for you.

Always Pay Yourself First – That Is What The Rich Do

This is what the rich know and do. Their money works for them and not the other way around. They don’t trade their time for money as the rest do with hourly pay. Their money works whether they do, or whether they sleep or at the beach. Their money always is working.

If they weren’t born rich they built wealth by saving the money they made. They pay themselves first. Then, take a portion and invest it in vehicles that make them more money over time. They re-invest and grow their money.  They seek wise investments that pay them well.

You have to be smart and prudent. Foolish maneuvers can be costly and devastating. The principle is pay yourself first! Save and build your wealth! Invest in those areas that will bring you a continuous return on your investment! Create streams of passive income.

Money Is A Tool – The Love Of Money Is The Root Of All Evil

Active income is what we do to make money. Passive income is our money working for us; it can be real estate, stocks and bonds, certain businesses with low overhead and high profit. The point is to get your money working for you. Research and seek consultation.

The second principle I have already mentioned. Save Your Money! Become a wise and prudent money manager. Most of the wealthy people live below their means. Most wannabes imagine buying everything they have always wanted. These people go broke!

I had a very wealthy friend who bought himself a nice yacht, parked it in the marina. He used it for pleasure, to live on. It was a second home. It was great fun to be on his yacht most anytime. One day he sold it. I was shocked and asked why. His answer surprised me then.

Having More Money Means Having More Positive Choices

‘It’s a money drain’ was his reply. I said, ‘but you can afford it’. He looked me in the eye and said again, ‘It is a money drain’. Whether he came to that conclusion by himself or whether one of his advisors told him to lose it, I don’t know. He got rid of it. It cost too much.

He could have afforded ten more then and now but he didn’t keep the one. Rich people understand money and are friendly with it. They understand how to make it work for them and how to keep it. The like it as a tool to do more things with and to have choices.

The smartest ones don’t let it control them, they control and manage their money. They control their spending. They know in business you want to keep your expenses low, and keep your cash flow and profits high. They pay themselves first and they save and manage money.

You Can Reach And Help More People The More Money You Have

Everyone of the rest of us can learn from the very rich. We can benefit from these principles. Seek ways to take a portion of you income, even if it were only a dollar a week, and sock it away somewhere you get some return. Save, grow it and then invest it.

T. Harv Eker and others call it a Financial Freedom Account. Put your money into an account that you want to grow so that some day you will be financially free. It makes sense does it not? Learn to be wise about money. Be thrifty, cut your expenses and maximize your gains.

Money Will Not Buy Happiness – Be Happy First And Enjoy Money

Those who increase their wealth do so because they want it, they feel they deserve it and they do the correct things to build it. There are plenty of wonderful, philanthropic rich people out there. There are also plenty of greedy, cutthroat, rich predators out there.

Money amplifies who you already are. If you are nice to begin with you most likely will be nice with lots of money. If you are a bastard to begin with you’ll be a rich bastard with more money. The goal is to be free of debt and have enough money to live the lifestyle you dream.

The more money you have the more choices you have AND the more you can help and benefit others. I believe the more we have of power, money and influence, the more responsibility we have to help, to share and educate others to have the same.

Save Your Money – Invest Wisely – Learn To Manage Your Money

There is more than enough to go around. Yes, some attempt to hoard it and there are some rotten apples that have made it difficult for others. Still, it is possible to be free and enjoy more of the good life however you define that for yourself. Yes, enjoy the good life!

As we explore money and mindset one thing is clear. Money travels and finds those who like and appreciate it. So be a friend. Money is a tool and nothing more. Be grateful for whatever amount of money you presently have. Celebrate it and welcome it. Learn to do this!

You won’t get richer by focusing on debt and on lack. It you complain and worry about bills you perpetuate the cycle of never having enough. You need to understand the laws of money flow just as you learn about anything else in life. There are principles that work.

Curb Spending – Keep Cash Flow And Profits High – Invest In You

Gratitude is the right attitude. Be grateful and thankful for whatever amount you have. Be thankful that money flows. It circulates and you can capture more of it. Befriend it, befriend the concept. Learn to let go of fears and worries. Pay your bills and learn to do it joyfully.

Whenever I pay a bill, today, I think, ‘thank goodness the universe thinks I am rich’. Because it believes I can pay all these bills. I celebrate them for that reason alone! I didn’t always but I learned it’s better to be joyous and optimistic than a negative pessimist.

So take care of your money. Learn to manage and allocate it wisely. Learn to grow it. Most importantly learn to think as a benevolent wealthy person does. Keep expenses low and return high. There is more than enough to go around. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

What is faith? Why do you need it? What do you have faith in? There are so many different rules and beliefs and practices about faith what is necessary? Can you develop it?

Faith is your ability to believe and trust that what you want to make happen, you will. It is the certainty that you can bring it about. It is faith in you and your abilities and resourcefulness.

You can have faith in the universe or god but that is not the faith I am talking about right now. I hope you understand this. You can live and work with one or both. That is entirely your choice.

Skill Comes Of Doing

It is useful and desirable  to have  faith that good things will happen regardless of the evidence. It is powerful to believe that no matter what happens the end result will be good. Things work out.

It is an incredible mindset to not be thrown by whatever present circumstances there are. Everything will work out positively, eventually, is a great attitude. Think, I always land on my feet.

It IS absolutely worthwhile to cultivate these beliefs. It is absolutely worthwhile to be positive and feel positive. When you feel your best everything works better. Your brain is open to all the good around.

The Mind Is As Strong As Its Weakest Think

Life is more wonderful when you think and feel your best. When you feel optimal everything goes better to. You can do more, enjoy more, struggles aren’t so difficult. It is a good head place to be.

This faith, Napoleon Hill called Active Faith. Active faith means you take action. You believe in your purpose, your desired goal, you Definite Chief Aim. Then you act in service of getting it.

The hay doesn’t bail itself! Everyday you do something that brings you closer to your desired future. Small steps or large you keep moving forward knowing that ultimately you will get there.

The More We Do The More We Are Able To Do

You will get there. No matter how many times you may have to change course, you will arrive. You use your imagination and your will power. It is not up to others. It is up to you whether you succeed.

Skill comes from doing. So does faith. The more we do the more we can do. The more we act on our own behalf, the closer we get, the more we believe it is possible. Belief comes from doing, too.

Active faith is not about sitting around wishing for things to be different. It is acting to make them different. YOU make it happen by your thoughts and actions. Your behaviors bring you results.

Believe In Yourself 

You develop active faith through repetition of affirmations and your actions. You become a ‘CAN DO’ person by focusing your mind on what you can do and then doing it. Thoughts and actions.

You develop this faith and make it serve you. You get more of it by using it. It grows through exercise just as muscles do. Everyday affirm you are the kind of person that acts. Be positive!

Affirm it. Affirm that you will accomplish the positive good you want. See yourself with your goal already attained. Visualize the kind of persons you are. See your results as already accomplished.

There Is Something Greater Inside You Than Any Obstacle

Feel your best. Be enthused when you affirm. Feel confident and powerful that what you say is true. Feel great about seeing and having, in your imagination, what you will in reality someday.

Feelings are the most important aspect of this process. Always feel the best you can. Feel convinced. This is the method to develop strong positive beliefs. Everyday affirm it out loud with passion.

Do this daily!  This is how you use correct repetition to develop necessary skill. Everyday see yourself successful. Fill your mind with positive thoughts that YOU CAN do it. Keep your mind filled!

I May Not Be There Yet But I Am Closer Than Yesterday

Everyday take action and do something to make your dream come true. Everyday put on your best, most powerful mindset, and work to make it happen. Will it? That is entirely up to you!

Can it? Absolutely it is possible! Live each day knowing you are fully capable to bring about your intended future. Know that you can learn and acquire whatever resources you need.

You are sufficient to make it happen. Be grateful for the opportunity to learn, to struggle, to grow and develop. Be thankful. Appreciate everything about you and about your circumstances.

The Only Thing Limiting You Is Your Belief That There Are Limits

Tough times make us tougher. Express your gratitude for everything and believe that good things always happen in the end. As you do these things everything begins to come together in positive ways.

You will be more alert to opportunity. You will be more open to helping others and attracting the right people that can assist you. When your mindset is positive you keep moving forward. It feels good and nothing can stop you. Get it? Do it! Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

The Secret To Getting Consistent Positive Results: It Is How You Do It!

Repetition is critical. It is HOW we learn and acquire skill. From birth on it is THE process we engage to learn anything. Did you know it must be a very special type of repetition if you want to move ahead?

Is not just repetition that is important. It is correct repetition. What is correct repetition and why? It is doing it the right way. You can repeat practicing mistakes and learn errors instead of the right way.

You can practice a golf swing incorrectly and hamper your ability to play. Practice correctly from the beginning as much as possible. You do it and make adjustments to correct as you go along. Feedback.

Correct Repetition Is The Mother Of Skill

You never fail. You just get plenty of feedback. If you are open to it you make the adjustments to move forward correctly. If you aren’t open to it you are destined to practice your mistakes.

Whatever we practice or rehearse in life we get back. If we practice a bad golf swing the results we get are a bad golf swing. The result is most likely a bad score. This is why correct repetition is important.

Some people spend a lot of money on books and private coaching to learn to swing the golf club correctly. Athletes train and have a coach or a team to help them correctly exercise and perform.

There Is No Such Thing As Failure Only Feedback

When it comes to your life and the consistent results you want to get what is it worth to you? If you want success, the best health and wealth and happiness what are you willing to commit to?

How much time, energy and/or money will you devote to you and to getting your career, your relationships and your life in order. Certainly, you should be able to devote a few minutes each day.

If we practice crappy, negative thinking the results we get back are crappy negative results. If we focus on lack and poverty and problems, because we rehearse these, they stick around.

Whatever We Plant And Nurture We Will Harvest

We make habits of whatever we practice and rehearse in thought, feeling and behavior. We wire in neural pathways. Because of this we find ourselves behaving the same over and over again.

If you want to change, get better results and have only good habits, you have to practice and rehearse only what you want more of. You must take charge and take control. There is no other way.

If you think you can or you think you can’t you are right. It is all up to you. If you do or don’t. Only you will benefit.  Only you will lose out. If you want to change begin today. Do it right.

Don’t Buy Into The Myth Of Self Sabotage!

“There  is no such thing as self sabotage. The brain only does what it learns to do.  Some one labeled this activity as sabotage but it truly isn’t. It is a blessing not a curse. It just doesn’t seem like one at times.

Welcome to Part 12 of The Secret To Success And Happiness Few Know And Won’t Tell You. The series continues and this post continues from the previous two. Part 13 tomorrow. Let’s go!

Believe me you want the brain to do what it does the way it does it. It has learned  to do all sorts of wonderful things. Positive beneficial things and useless and negative things. The brain learns!

Success Is Not The Key To Happiness …

The brain is a learning machine designed to keep you alive. It takes care of your survival. It creates neural pathways and then runs those neural pathways thus establishing habits so you don’t have to relearn everything again and again.

Those habits are what it learned to do. When you want to change one your brain goes into survival mode. Not full fledged fight or flight necessarily, but for some people the feelings may be intense.

It opposes the change because what it is doing IS what it learned to do. It continues to assert the old habits while you are attempting to add in the new. Because of this conflict you or someone else labels it self-sabotage. Nothing could be further from the truth.

… Happiness Is The Key To Success

It is not trying to sabotage you. It is trying to keep you successfully doing what you have always done. The issue is NOW you have decided what you learned long ago doesn’t serve you and you want to change. YOU are changing the way things worked.

In order to make changes you now want, you need to do the very same things you did when you originally learned the programming you now don’t want. You need to condition your brain in the same fashion as your earlier conditioning  but with positive updates.

How?  By repetition and powerful emotion. Early on you were influenced by others, and by their emotions as well as your own. They gave you suggestions day in and day out. They didn’t consider them suggestions they just talked to you and in front of you.

The Capacity To Learn Is A Gift

You listened, you heard, you heard them over and over and you adopted them. Sometimes, because you were emotional and sometimes because they were. You took on their ways of viewing and approaching the world. We all did it similarly.

Many messages we got were how tough things are, how hard we must work, that some people are lucky while others aren’t etc. We got a variety of self-limiting messages that resulted in our beliefs and attitudes about ourselves and the world.

Some people believe lies.

If you think, ‘I am stupid’, ‘I am not good enough’, I am too fat’, ‘I am useless’, ‘I can’t do it’, ‘I always screw things up’, ‘I am not worthy’, ‘I have to work harder’, ‘The economy prevents me from getting ahead’, ‘If only my parents had taught me better’, ‘I’m not educated’.

The Ability To Learn Is A Skill

Those sample thoughts are all lies. Yet, many people believe them. Why? because they adopted them while growing up. None of them necessarily are true or accurate but they will limit you if you accept them as true. You don’t have to believe them but you do.

That is the conditioning. It is not the mind trying to sabotage you. You could just as easily with just as much or little effort believe, ‘I can do anything I learn to do’, ‘I am capable’, I am worthy’, I am smart’, ‘Nothing can prevent me from reaching my dreams’.

But most people don’t. Why? Because they weren’t conditioned to believe this way growing up. The brain can learn either belief, it doesn’t care or judge. It just accepts them as is. Most people are stuck, not because they have to be, but because they believe the wrong beliefs.

The Willingness To Learn Is A Choice

They believe lies about themselves. They accepted them as gospel and they do nothing about it. They don’t like it necessarily and it may be uncomfortable but they believe that is who they are. They don’t realize they have a choice, UNTIL they realize they have a choice.

Here is the thing. All beliefs are lies. Positive or negative. The question is which do you choose to believe? They are either supportive or unsupportive. Which do you choose to believe? It is your choice.

This is how we go through life. We are born, get conditioned, accept that conditioning, have some experiences that verify that conditioning and lock it in. The Reticular Activating System (RAS) part of the brain is designed to do that. It finds matches.

Believing In Yourself Is The First Key To Success

Its job, beyond helping us survive, is to find a match. You say, ‘I am stupid’ and your brain goes ‘right you are’! ‘AND HERE IS WHY’ and provides you examples of screw-ups and incidents from your past and present that verify it. It looks for examples to prove you right.

Had you said, ‘I am marvelous’ your brain would look for those matches and find them just as readily. Even now you and I can say either and get matches. Most people get more of one type than they other because that is what they are most used to looking for.

Sad isn’t it. We want to change and it seems our own system prevents us. It doesn’t do it for nefarious reasons it does that for our protection and for keeping us consistent. We know who we are, what we believe and value. We will even argue about it.

It Is What We Think We Know That Keeps Us From Learning

We will fight to prove we are stupid, if we say it, and fight to prove we aren’t if someone else calls us that. Well, usually, sometimes we may agree. The point is we don’t have to believe any of these limiting beliefs we just do out of habit. We can be free of them if we choose.

Here is what it comes down to. After years of living with limitations we decide we want to change these. We know if we don’t change we will always do what we always did and continue to get the same old results we have been getting. Right? Unless we change.

That is what the brain is designed to do. To continue to get you the same results again and again reliably. You want it that way. You don’t want to walk through the door one day and into the wall the next. You want to get the same results day and night.

If You Are Not Willing To Learn No One Can Help You

NOW you want different results. So you make up your conscious mind to change. You want to lose weight or gain weight. Stop eating certain foods or begin trying new ones. You want to change your attitude. You want to feel better. You want more money.

Whatever it is you have decided you will change it. You may or may not think it will be hard to change, but sadly, most people go into it thinking it is going to be tough. It doesn’t have to be, but it is BECAUSE old habits die hard. Precisely, what you want. Remember?

You don’t want them to die off easily or the new ones wouldn’t stick either. You want it to be tough in actuality you just don’t want it to be tough for you. Am I right or am I right? You prefer it easy, yes? I understand. So do I.

If You Are Determined To Learn No One Can Stop You

In order for it to be easier you know it may take some time but you should think, ‘I can do this. It will be easy. Easy or not I will do this’. If you think it will be easy, while it may be difficult, it will be easier than if you think, ‘oh my god this is soooooo hard’. Get it? Read it again.

Your mind set determines how you go through or endure anything. Mindset, your attitude, determines 99.9% of your success and how you feel while attaining it. You want to learn to feel good no matter what. It is easier to change when you are feeling good.

If, when you begin to make the change the old habits rear up and you get upset, screw up, drop off, and decide, ‘It is too hard to change, I will never do it.’ You most probably won’t. That is a defeatist attitude for certain. Can’t throw in the towel and expect success.

Winners Have Simply Formed The Habit Of Doing Things … 

If you think, ‘I want to do it but I keep sabotaging myself’ that is as wrong to do as if you punched yourself hard in the face. You are labeling protective, survival processes your brain engages in to insure your success as sabotage. You are insulting your very self.

You are putting up additional opposition to your own ability to learn and grow. Instead of saying,’my brain is wonderful and keeps me alive and consistent’, you are saying ‘my brain is screwing with me. It sabotages me and prevents me’. Your emotions are conflicted.

Your thoughts are negative. You are not helping yourself. You are making excuses for not continuing and blaming yourself at the same time. Some people LOVE LOVE LOVE to blame themselves. They say things like ‘You don’t understand I sabotage myself!’

… Losers Never Do – Be Diligent And Win

‘You don’t understand I am chemically addicted’. ‘You don’t understand…’ as if their problems are the most significant ones in the world. No one has problems they do. They wear these as a badge of honor. They are proud they are unable. They suffer so.

They are good people and guess what? They learned to be that way. They learned to defend their unwillingness to change and blame it on anything and everything. They learned to feel good about feeling bad. It is habit for them. Yes, they can change it. Of course they can.

Tomorrow I’ll share how to change that. I give you some pointers in how you can eliminate self-sabotage for good. So be sure to read the next blog. Share too if you know people who could benefit. In the meantime, learn to be grateful for how you work. You work perfectly even when you don’t like the results you get. Love yourself.

How To Overcome Failure And Maximize Your Success

“We grow stronger the more we are challenged. Our minds grow stronger the more we use them just as our muscles do. Both atrophy when not used for lengths of time. Use it or lose it is how it is. We must challenge ourselves and grow through opposition.

Welcome to Part 11 of The Secret To Success And Happiness Few Know And Won’t Tell You. The series continues and this post continues from yesterday. I hope you found the first 10 parts valuable. Ready, let’s go. Part 12 tomorrow.

We must grow mentally and physically, emotionally and spiritually. Whenever you begin to change anything, a belief, a behavior, an old habit, all of your old chronic past habitual conditioning and programming rears up. You feel resistance.

Failure Is A Part Of Life – If You Don’t Fail You Don’t Learn …

Some call it paradigms. Our old conditioning is doing what it is supposed to do. Those who don’t know any better call it self-sabotage. You never self-sabotage yourself! You do what you were trained to do! In order to change you have to change your training.

The instant you begin your new training you encounter the old patterns and programs asserting themselves. That is because that is what you previously learned to do. Until you learn the new way it will feel difficult. The old way will continue to exert its influence.

For awhile, it will be difficult. Soon enough, with routine practice and dedicated application, you will overcome the old conditioning and the new conditioning will take hold. You will make the changes you want. Once the new way takes hold it will be just as reliable.

… If You Don’t Learn You Don’t Change

Believe me you want it to be like this! You don’t want the old to give way too easily. If it did you’d be screwing things up every other week. You want the things you learn to be difficult to change for consistency. The brain is smarter than we think.

People who don’t know any better call this process self-sabotage, as if a part of you is trying to thwart your progress. It isn’t! It is remaining your loyal and faithful friend by resisting the new ways. It is preserving what you previously learned to do.

It attempts to keep you consistent. It is a blessing not a curse! Even if what you learned, way back then, was unwanted and not your choice, you learned it and have operated from it. Your brain didn’t care if it was positive or negative, that isn’t its job to decide.

Failure Is Part Of Success – Don’t Worry About Failure …

Its job is to learn and carry out whatever it is programmed to do. To be reliable so you don’t have to keep relearning it every day. It builds reliable pathways to follow. It creates habits. This is WHY habits are difficult to break at first. This is why it seems difficult to change.

BUT it only seems that way. Change can be easier or harder depending on your mental mindset about it. AND GUESS WHAT? Your mindset is habitual too. How you view change is how you learned to view it at another previous time. AHHHHH get it?

This is why changing your mindset and learning to control your thinking is SO CRITICAL because it is habitual too. If it doesn’t support you how you want it to then you must change it. It will keep doing what it always did until you change it. Understand?

… Worry About The Chances You Miss When You Don’t Try

These things are locked in BUT not permanently. Well, they are permanent if we never bother to try to change them. Once we begin the process we encounter all the old thinking, feeling and behaving and that is what we need to overcome.

Inertia is the principle of physics that maintains that a body at rest tends to remain at rest until a larger force acts on it. OR a body in motion tends to remain in motion unless a larger force acts on it. This is why it is difficult to push a car down the road from park.

It is also why it is difficult to stop a car with your hands once it is moving down a hillside. Momentum takes over and you just have to get out of the way at a certain point. We can understand these for our personal changes. When we do it makes things simpler.

Success In Life Simply Comes When You Refuse To Give Up

Beginning a change means overcoming the tendency to remain at rest, or stay the same. Our brains try to keep us consistent. It seems to take effort and it does but it gets easier the more we do it and the longer we do it for. Easier and easier. Still, we have to start it all.

We have to start it and keep it going until momentum takes over. Once we get to that tipping point it is ‘all down hill from there’. Change becomes easier and picks up speed. We can feel the shifting. Until we get there though we have to push through it.

This is true of our mental condition and controlling out thoughts and feelings as well as our skills and behaviors. Changing for success in 99.9% a mental game. Get your head on right and the rest follows. Most people never get the mind game understood and that sucks.

In Order To Succeed We Must First Believe We Can

They don’t get good results because their mind’s don’t serve them as they would like. They put their attention not on changing their thinking but on what is wrong with others, the economy, the environment. They blame others and the world for their ‘failures’.

So they never learn nor change. They can, and maybe someday they will, when ready, but for now they maintain their status quo. They can’t see it yet, and that is okay. When they are ready the teacher will appear. The real teacher is oneself. AND mentors are beneficial.

Changing your mind means overriding the old programming. You can do that. Bit by bit, over time, by repeating exercises and processes that help you do that. Affirmations, Directed Questions™, Visualization, using vision boards all help you change your thoughts.

I Can – I Will – End Of Story

Consistent application of new thought is how you change. Focusing on the positive most of the time is how you change. The first great step is in awareness. Become aware of whether you are mostly positive or mostly negative most of the time. AND be more positive.

Accept and welcome the process. Celebrate the fact that you learn things and adapt. Celebrate that your brain and mind serve you in a variety of ways. Failure leads to success when you apply feedback as an athlete does. Awareness is the starting place and it is required.

Examine your defeat and losses. Once at the bottom the only way to move is up. Those who have achieved great things and great wealth have often done it on the back of great loss and hardship, equal in difficulty as their good fortune is good.

The Key To Success Is To Begin Before You Are Ready

You only fail when you quit the pursuit. Once you stop it is over. As long as you continue you are not failing. Everyone who has ever succeeded in anything has met with challenges. Some seemed insurmountable at the time.

Those who continued on in spite of the hardship, made it through and reaped a reward. Those who did not lost out. What gives the person who continues the edge. What do you think it is? Their mindset, of course? What else could it or would it be?

They control their thinking and do it in spite of the difficulty or the odds. They do it in spite of not feeling like it. They do it anyway. In order to do that they must think it first. They do not let their thoughts or their thinking prevent them. Others will but not these.

Winners Never Quit And Quitters Never Win

Thomas Edison tried over 10,000 times before he found the right combination of materials that produced a working lightbulb. What if he had stopped after 3 tries as most people might do?  We all still might be reading by gas or oil lamps.

The Wright Brothers continued attempting to fly until they actually did. What might have happened or how long would it have taken if they threw in the towel? There are countless examples of people overcoming difficulty and pushing through to ultimate success.

R. U. Darby, who Napoleon Hill references, had a wealthy gold mine that dried up. Dig and dig he did but to know avail. He tossed in the towel, sold the mine and gave up. The gentleman who purchased the mine, hired a consultant who determined that gold was still there.

Fall Seven Times – Get Up Eight

They dug 3 feet from where Darby left of and struck the richest gold vein making the new owner instantly very wealthy. Darby lost a fortune. Fortunately, for him, by his own admission, he stated it was probably the best thing that ever happened to him.

He learned from his mistake and vowed to never let anything stop him again. He went into the insurance business and he learned he would not take no for an answer. He became a wealthy millionaire salesman as a result and he attributed this to missing gold by 3 feet.

If we learn from our mistakes; if we learn from obstacles and our challenges and what appears to be defeat we will learn things of incredible value. These can be positively life changing. Our challenges are our blessings too. We just don’t view them that way.

What Defines Us Is How Well We Rise After Falling

We can. Challenges contain opportunity. Your mindset, your attitude, your beliefs will determine what you see as a blessing or a problem. It will determine whether you think you can or you think you can’t accomplish something. You mindset determines if you try.

The saddest thing you can do is throw in the towel and give up. The saddest thing is to not take control of the one thing YOU can control, you mind.  Learn to control it. Make it work for you. Learn from your mistakes. Find the good and the positive in everything.

When you do you will begin to change more and more easily. The momentum takes on a life of its own. As you find things to enjoy and opportunities to take advantage of, as you feel grateful you discover more. Your brain actually opens up. Enjoy it! Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

The Secret Successful People Know About Failure That You Don’t

“Successful people aren’t always successful their first time out. You know that of course, right? They may spend years working on their dreams with no apparent success in sight. More over they may face incredibly difficult odds and challenges. Many lose everything first.

Welcome to Part 10 of The Secret To Success And Happiness Few Know And Won’t Tell You. We continue on today. I hope you found the first  9 parts valuable. Ready, let’s go. Part 11 tomorrow.

A successful pro batter in baseball strikes out far more than gets hits. In fact the difference in averages between one paid the big, big bucks and one not isn’t that great.  If you think about it the highest scoring batter fails to connect with the ball far more often than not.

The same is true of basketball players and making baskets. The attempts far exceed scores made.They frequently miss. What sets these pro athletes apart from others, perhaps you and me? Why are they failing so often but still winning and getting paid very well?

Success Is Not Final – Failure Is Not Fatal …

One thing that makes the difference is they understand that in order to hit the target you have to try a lot. The know they will miss more than they hit and they accept that. It doesn’t prevent them from trying. They continue to press on. They keep the faith. They work it.

If they quit after their first miss, after their attempts went south, they would fail. Because they continue on they make adjustments to their behaviors and skill set, they continue to work on getting better and better. They improve. They know they must to compete.

They don’t count the times missed, they don’t focus on the ‘failures’ they record the successes. They understand swinging and missing is a large part of hitting the ball. Shooting at and missing the basket is a huge part of putting the ball in. It doesn’t stop them at all to miss.

… It Is The Courage To Continue That Counts

There is no such thing as failure. Either they did what they attempted to do or they didn’t. They don’t get bent out of shape about it. They keep their mind in check, they keep their attitude in check because they understand something most of us don’t.

Sports is a mental game. Most of winning is dependent on what goes on inside the athlete’s mind. Focus, concentration, not getting psyched out, but maybe psyching out an opponent, attention, shutting out distractions is a major part of their skills in doing.

It is the mental game that leads the physical prowess. Imagine trying to make a basket, hit a run, kick a field goal with millions watching, thousands cheering or booing, knowing the pressure is on. Are you up for that? Some people are and some aren’t?

Success In Life Comes When You Simply Refuse To Give Up

What the pro does inside their mind gives them the edge. Imagine training for four years to compete for seconds in the Olympics. You get a couple attempts, usually, and an average or best score entered in competition. Most who go to the Olympics fail to medal.

There is no such thing as failure to these dedicated people. There is only feedback. They either hit the mark or they don’t. If they don’t they examine what they need to adjust and improve to hit it the next attempt. If they miss again, they adjust for the next attempt.

Some go back after missing and dedicate another four years to improving so they can repeat the process again with the goal of medalling up next time. They commit and learn from their mistakes but they don’t throw in the towel.  Well, some may.

Have Goals So Strong Obstacles Failure Loss Act As Motivation

Those who do quit, they fail. They stopped after missing the mark. The last thing they did before quitting was to miss. Those who try again never fail. Temporarily, they may experience defeat, but only temporarily. They use it as feedback to continue to improve,

You and I face challenges and obstacles, small and large, each day. If you learn from your each of your difficulties you will continue to move forward. You gain valuable information on how to improve and move forward. With that information you can possibly succeed.

Napoleon Hill pointed out that within each adversity, each challenge, each struggle or disappointment,  there are the seeds of equivalent opportunity. You have to know to look for them or you will miss them. If you seek and you will find. Learn from difficulties.

Never Let Success Go To Your Head … 

You can learn from difficulties the same way athletes learn from their challenges. If you adopt the athlete mindset you can become a winner much more easily. You must learn to control your thoughts and feelings and to continue on no matter how daunting it seems.

With the correct attitude, and by making the proper adjustments, you can move forward toward success. With the right mind set you won’t stop at failure  but are open to begin seeing it as a stepping stone toward eventual success. All success begins in the mind.

When you look back on your life, or back on difficult times, temporary defeats and attempts to excel, you can more easily connect the dots. You see how or why you ended up as you did from the decisions you made. You can notice your part in it all.

… Never Let Failure Go To Your Heart

Your are responsible for all of it. Once you realize that all of your attempts, hit or miss, you are responsible for, the game changes. You don’t blame others, or conditions or circumstances, you seek to improve what you do so you are better the next time.

I enjoy listening to pros talk about how they won or lost a match or a game, and what they need to do to be better the next time. Listen, if you haven’t. It is all on them and what they can do to improve. Listen, pay attention, the pro mindset is what we need to win!

Never worry about making  mistakes. Mistakes are a part of it, just as misses are, as long as you learn from them. Some people try so hard to avoid making mistakes that they don’t do anything. They freeze. They are afraid they will do something wrong.

Failure Is Success In Progress

Something wrong can always be corrected. It is far better to do it and correct it and learn from it and move forward than to not progress at all because of fear. It sucks being frozen. When you are stuck you are not moving in any direction. That is what stuck means.

Enough for today. We will continue tomorrow. Hopefully, I have provided you with some important food for thought but don’t miss tomorrow. You will want to read on! Meanwhile, make it a point to examine your thinking and your experience. Look for the good.

Look for the positive. Look for what you do well that you can enhance. Realize you have an opportunity to improve and excel. You can update and upgrade. Eliminate the bugs and faulty programming and beginning living as you want to. Find those things to appreciate.

Success Is The Sum Of Small Efforts Repeated Day In And Day Out

Look into what you appreciate about you, others and the world. Bask it in. Feel the positive emotions. After all, the point of life is to feel wonderful. Logic is fine but feel delight and feel joy. Become enthused with your ability to make changes positively. Have fun and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Why Change Seems So Difficult And What You Can Do About It

“Have you found it difficult to make personal or professional changes? Have you struggled to try to change habits? Have you come to the conclusion that making changes is hard?

Welcome to Part 7 of The Secret To Success And Happiness Few Know And Won’t Tell You. We continue on today. I hope you found the first 6 parts valuable. Ready, let’s go. Part 8 tomorrow.

Perhaps, your attempted to get ‘The Secret’ or the ‘Law of Attraction’ to work but you are not satisfied. Have you found it difficult for you but know others for whom it is easy?

Guess what? If it is easy for some it could and should be easy for all. Change does not have to be hard. It does not have to be difficult. It can be anything. Anything at all. Change can be easy.

Standing Is Harder Than Moving

Change can be easy, fun, exciting, smooth and relaxing or it can be tough, terrifying, and require you stick it out for the long haul. Making changes can be and is all things.

You may not want to hear this. Whether change is difficult or easy is completely up to you and nothing else! Your mindset, your attitude, your beliefs determine what it is like and how you will go through it.

It can be all things!  Just know that. You aren’t failing if it is tough. You are simply approaching it as you have learned to do. There is nothing wrong in that. Nothing at all. You learned it was tough.

If You Don’t Like Something Change It

You accepted that for whatever reason, most likely, very early on. Since then, perhaps you have tried and quit, or maybe you avoid having to change much all together. Anything is possible.

If that is the case, the good news is, change can be easy and fun! You can learn to enjoy it too. However, if learning anything new for you is tough and you don’t like it that is what you first must work on.

Learn to like learning. If you don’t like learning new things, eating new foods, learning new games, communicating better with your partner or family, then you should start there.

That will be the subject of another post at another time.

Change is just whatever it is. Your reaction to it is makes all the difference in the world. Easy or hard  it is up to what you think and believe it will be. Expectations shape situations and behaviors.

If You Can’t Change It Change Your Attitude

If you think it will be too hard you are apt to quit. If you think it will be a snap you are likely to proceed without a issue. Your attitude determines what it will be like for you. It always has. IT always has!

If it is tough you need to change your attitude and beliefs about change. The good news is that you can do this. Will it be easy or tough? GUESS WHAT? That is up to you? Get it? DO you GET IT?

You make up your world. You decide what it will be like and how you go through it. You determine whether you attract good things or less than glorious things. It is always up to you! It always has been!

If Life Were Just Easy Where Would All The Adventures Be

It is cyclic. If you think it will be tough it will be thus proving you are right and it is tough. Next attempt you get more of the same. You can break the cycle BUT it may be tough at first. Get it? DO you?

You really need to understand this. AT first it may seem tough. That is what is familiar to you. That is your habitual way of going about things. That is what you have been getting. Get it?

To change it DO something else. Take smaller steps or bites. Do some thing you find enjoyable, easy to do and continue to do, first. Find a partner. Get someone who inspires you to go on.

Drop By Drop The Tub Gets Filled

If you always do what you always did you always get what you always got. Vary it, shake it up, add some fun into the mix. Do anything else that brings enjoyment and optimism to the process.

Decide to be gentle with yourself NO MATTER WHAT. If there are some things that are difficult resign yourself to that being okay for now and understand that will get easier as you move forward.

Think positive about it. Force yourself if you must or have fun chanting out loud positive mantras and affirmations that support you in this. Visualize yourself easily making and adopting change.

You Must Become The Master Of Your Own Thoughts

You can control your thoughts and that is your first most important step. Learn that this is possible. You can control your thoughts and your feelings. You can think and feel predominantly wonderful.

How you think and feel determines how you act and your thoughts, feelings and actions determine the results you get. These three factors determine how you handle life circumstances.

Life is whatever it is. How you respond to it is up to how you learned to in the first place. Everything you do is pretty much the result of what you learned from early age on. It is your conditioning. Habits.

I Can’t Change The Direction Of The Wind …

Because you learned it, you can unlearn it or learn to change it to serve you better. It doesn’t matter whether you remember learning it or not. You can learn most anything at all. You really, truly can!

You can teach an old dog new tricks. It seems harder because the old dog has been doing the old way for a long time and is comfortable with it even if the old dog doesn’t like it. Even if it causes pain.

We opt for the familiar and the comfortable most of the time. It is easier even when we don’t like it. It is usually only when we get really fed up that we then decide to change and be different.

… But I Can Adjust My Sails To Reach My Destination

Still, the old dog can learn new ways. Be loving, patient, understanding, forgiving and accepting and the old dog will do just fine. Treat the old dog with respect and it will learn new ways.

You can dictate how you handle circumstances and not be the victim of them. It is all up to you. The first order of change is controlling your thoughts instead of being a victim of them. This is a must do!

Once you gain mastery over your thinking process everything else tends to fall in line. Life still is what it is but your ability to respond resourcefully grows immeasurably. Seek mental control.

Have Patience All Things Are Difficult Before They Become Easy

Change becomes easier and more fun when you are in charge of your attitude and mindset. Life does as well. Circumstances fall under your control much more than the other way around.

Understand this next important concept well. Understand it and own it. If everything is easy you will never learn to be tough when necessary. There are times that require you to be firm and strong.

There are times when you must be steel willed and persist no matter what. These times, though hard, don’t have to be a problem. Your attitude determines whether these are mountains or mole hills.

Life Doesn’t Become Easier We Become Stronger

If everything  were always easy and it was never tough you might throw in the towel when faced with challenge. You wouldn’t know what to do or how to do it. Skill comes from doing.

By having different forms and sizes of obstacles with differing degrees of difficulty you grow stronger and better equipped to handle anything. Welcome tough times too.

Welcome challenges and you become a victor over them. Life at times is thrilling and ecstatic and delicious, other times not so much. Whatever you get is what is, accept it, celebrate it and keep growing.

The Educated Person Has Learned How To Learn And Change

Discover you can be the master of your fate and the captain of your soul. It begins by taking charge of your thinking. Even if you have never done it before you can succeed at this. Develop certainty.

Even if you tried and failed numerous times, you can succeed if you make it manageable from the beginning. Do little things first. Little things can bring about great change in ways that will surprise you.

Make it a point to be grateful. Find the silver lining, discover the good hidden in the not so good. This a an important ability you want to acquire. You acquire it only by repeatedly doing it correctly.

Simple Joys Make The Greatest Memories

There is always something you can find, though it may be well hidden, so you might have to dig, but DO dig for it!  Master being thankful for where you are and what you have right now.

You will go further faster. Learn to enjoy and delight in all things and you will change beyond belief. The little things add up to great big things SO celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
