There’s A Big Difference Between Wishing And Being Ready To Receive It!

You must eventually come to realize you are the true author of your life. No one else is. You determine what it is like now and what it will be like in the future. Whatever is Is going to be according to you. You decide it. You create it. You, YOU, make it happen.

The Brain Is As Strong As Its Weakest Think

Take responsibility and write your life book. Line by line, page by page, chapter by chapter. Be the author of your experience. Responsibility is the critical factor. Assume responsibility for your life and everything that happens to you good or not so good.

Accept that you are the creator of your life. Imagine yourself as the potter and your life the clay. Shape and fashion it into what you want. Make what you want. If you don’t you will always live a life of other’s left overs. If you don’t design it who will? YOU MUST DO IT!

You are the designer, the architect, you draw the blueprints. You  are the engineers, and the plumbers and the electricians and the construction workers who build what you drew. You dream it and bring it into being through your actions.

Conceive It Believe It And You Can Achieve It

I know what you are thinking. You are thinking what if something bad happens to me, did I create it?  The best answer is, whether you actually did or did not, whether it is ordained from on high, or completely random or accidental, act as if you did.

Don’t be a victim of whatever circumstances come your way. Use the good and bad times to learn and grow. Bad times may be more difficult to do that with, at first, maybe always. The key is to learn and grow. Go on in life not letting anything stop or get you down.

What about down times and unhappy times? The same applies. Accept them. Theses are part of life. Learn to accept what is and go through them without getting stuck in them. Day gives way to night and night gives way to day. You will get through them. Trust!

You Get What You Focus On

Allow, learn, grow and move on when appropriate. Learn to be flexible. Learn to look for the silver lining in the dark clouds. Learn to count your blessings when faced with troubling times. There is always a reason to be grateful, no matter what happens.

When you take responsibility for everything you begin to understand that you have choice. You have decisions to make. You are not a victim. You can be a victor. You are ‘at cause’ not ‘at effect’ of the situations. You are in control without being a control freak.

A great leader said, when told that circumstances weren’t the best for his army to win the battle, ‘Circumstances, hell, I make the circumstances. I dictate the circumstances!’ Let this be you. Become aware of your power to choose and to respond.

There Are Two Ways Of Meeting Difficulties …

As you take control of your thoughts and feelings you realize you are in charge. To be in charge means to be responsible. Accept it, and author your life as you want it to unfold. Conceive it, believe it and you can achieve it is what Hill said.

Okay, I will tell you the truth. Are you ready for this? YOU are ALWAYS in charge whether you know it or not. YOU are ALWAY responsible. Your results come from your thoughts, feelings and actions. YOU cannot NOT be in charge. If your results suck …

Then change it. Learn how to be in charge and make things work for you. You must change what you are doing and what you are focused on. Accept the fact that you are in charge and responsible. Great power comes with this realization. GAME CHANGER ALERT!

… You Alter The Difficulties Or You Alter Yourself Meeting Them

For much of my life I was terrific at getting what I didn’t want. I was awesome at it and it was painful. I complained, and whined and moaned and suffered. UNTIL I realized what a powerful creator I already was. THEN it was just a matter of learning good taste.

It was a matter of creating what I wanted instead of what I didn’t want. I had to switch up what I was doing. I had to be real clear about who was in charge and who was responsible for the results I was getting. Once clear, I could move forward getting better results.

Do you understand this critical point? You’re already the author of your life. You’re getting precisely what you’re getting because of your current thoughts, feelings and actions. If you want it different you have to be different. You’re still the author writing differently.

You Are Today Where Your Thoughts Brought You

When it comes to your desires you must want it very badly. You must want it more than anything else. That separates your want, your desire from a mere hope or wish. You must believe you can bring about whatever it is you want to bring about. FAITH!

If you think, ‘I can’t’, or ‘I never could do that’, or ‘yeah, right’, then you have some more work to do. If you react to what is proposed from your old conditioning that is a clue, that if you want to, you have the opportunity to work on developing new beliefs.

Of course, you can choose to keep the ones you have thought so far. Some of them have served you quite well. It is your choice. It is ALWAYS YOUR choice. If you noticed you reacted as you always have then perhaps you want to learn to respond rather than react.

You Will Be Tomorrow Where Your Thoughts Take You

To respond means there is a gap, a choice, a moment when you decide instead of merely act from habitual old chronic conditioning. You are learning to control your thoughts so that you can better respond to situations and events and people.

You are learning to respond in that gap rather than to react from old habit and programming as an robot would. To respond means you pause and respond appropriately with the needs of the situation in mind. To react is a knee jerk. You do whatever you always do.

This brings up the concept of freedom and freedom of choice or will. What choice do you have if you habitually pick the same things 99.9% of the time because you were conditioned to do that growing up. Little to none, right. You always do what you always do.

You Cannot Escape The Power Of Your Thoughts

You are on automatic making choices those who helped program you would have made. You are living out of your previous conditioning. That requires no thought at all because it is habit. You are thinking, feeling and acting from old habit. You’re on automatic.

Don’t you think you deserve to make the choices? You are worthy to make the choices. Don’t you think you at least deserve a shot at making them? I certainly do. By the way to be worthy you have to think you are worthy. Think yourself worthy. You are worthy.

It starts with your thinking, remember. If you don’t feel you deserve it begin to change your thinking so you do. Begin to affirm and assert and declare that you are worthy. You are absolutely worthy and deserving of all good things. You are worthy to learn to choose.

The Choices We Make Determine Our Destiny

I will reduce the percentages. What if 90% of the time you are on automatic? How about 75% of the time? Let’s reduce it further, 50, 40, 10% of the time. Which is acceptable to you and why? At what point does not being able to choose become okay?

At what point does being able to choose more often become okay?Consider that? How much freedom and choice do you want for yourself? How much do you think is reasonable? How much will you claim for yourself?

Whatever your answer is IS what you think it is. You answer is a product of your thoughts. Good or bad, right or wrong, positive or negative, it is your thinking and concluding. I know this is similar to a snake eating its tail. Our thoughts are our thoughts. Be aware!

Your Life Is A Result Of The Choices You Make …

If you don’t like your answers change your thinking. If you like your answers don’t change unless your answers are excuses, blames or whining. Then maybe you should want to change your thinking. You go where your thoughts take you, remember. Thoughts are things.

You can most likely have everything you want in life if you prepare your mind, condition it well, and take the right actions. It begins inside the mind and feelings. Thinking and feeling determine the actions you take. Your actions determine your results.

You don’t have to hurt anyone else. You can co-operate and celebrate with others. You can get what you want and they can too. You can live in a world that works beautifully. You can work in harmony with others. They accomplish their dreams and you yours.

… If You Don’t Like Your Life – Start Making Better Choices

You can discover how abundant and wonderful everything is. This world is absolutely incredible. It is a most marvelous. How you experience it is completely up to you. You either see all the good and the joy, or the human made darkness. It’s whatever you focus on.

It starts within you. It starts with your thoughts and where they lead you. It begins, as Hill said, in the imagination. You first conceive of it. Then you believe you can make it happen and that you will make it happen come what may. You want it and you know you will have it.

Then you take action and you keep going until you achieve it. You start before you are ready. You begin and keep moving forward all the while learning how. You attempt things as Edison did until you get it right, learning all the time. You keep the faith and keep moving.

You Always Have Choice And The Choice Is Always Yours

You are aligned. You are congruent. All of your inner resources working together to accomplish this. Your thoughts and feelings. Your talents and abilities. Your prior experiences provide learning and experience and more necessary for your progress.

Because your inner resources are aligned you are better able to allocate the outer resources necessary to bring it about, the people, the finances, the conditions to make it happen. Keep in mind that birds of a feather flock together. You attract like people and events.

From within to without. Believe it first and you will see it. Your brain will look for examples and matches and evidence for how this is true and how this is possible. If you don’t believe it your brain will do the same work but in the opposite direction.

When You Are In Alignment Circumstances Matter

So get free. Use your brain for the change you want. Gather your resources. Work as a team consciously and unconsciously on the inside and then find the team you work with on the outside. The inner game becomes an outward one at the same time.

What you are already on the inside is reflected and radiated outward every moment. Every atom and every cell of you is a broadcasting station. People can see, hear and feel if you are happy or sad, weak or powerful. You demonstrate who you are always!

Be the author of your life. Be a powerful, positive, deliberate creator who intentionally thinks and designs your life in the wonderful and glorious ways you see fit. Remember, to delight and celebrate and be grateful, and to create a world where you and others all benefit.

Be At Cause – Be One With Your Purpose – Be Relentless

There is plenty for all and all can win. As you do this you attract others who feel and do the same. Together you can create great things. Together we can make the world more wonderful one person at a time.

It is already incredible and we can add to that. Create yourself!  Fill yourself with incredible joyous life, laughter, and love. Enjoy great health and great wealth and everything wonderful. Be grateful, enjoy and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

One Big Reason Why People Keep Failing

Sometimes, it is easiest to take the path of least resistance. Learn from the models who began where you are and have attained what you want because they know the pathway to that success. Listen.

Stop trying to reinvent the wheel. Follow in the successful footsteps of others. Actually do what they tell you and take their advice. Listen and learn. Do and learn. Be glad if you have a successful mentor.

Learn To Listen Then Listen To Learn

It never fails to amaze me, especially in Hollywood. Someone will ask a famous writer or director to give them feedback on their script. ‘Please help me, tell me what I should do. What do you think?’

Instead of taking it, implementing it, and then coming back, thereby showing the mentor they could take advice, and that they are people of action and value the mentor’s input and time.

They say thanks and do nothing. They join the ranks of all those who ask and do nothing. Is it any wonder why ‘the big wigs’ get wary of helping others at times. They know few will do what they say.

Listen – Learn – Grow

The reason so many people fail is they don’t implement what already is proven to work. They try to do it their way. They want the faster route. They think they will find a short cut. They want it easier.

They will attempt to do it their way. I can’t tell you how many times I have been with someone who was asked ‘what should I do’ and when told, they respond with, ‘yeah, I think I’ll do it my way’.

Yup, they try to do it their way. They don’t listen or follow advice. They don’t listen or read instructions. They get some new fangled thingamajig and don’t look at the manuel to put it together.

Mentors Are Here To Guide Us To Their Best Knowledge

Are you one of these? Listen, Napoleon Hill modeled 520 of the most successful people on the planet in his day. Countless thousands have gone on to success following his discovered formula ever since.

It is as applicable today as it was then. However, some people who have never yet succeeded think THEY know what to do. They don’t and haven’t succeed. Thousands of others, read the book, and have.

However, most people never will. They just won’t do it. They will try it their way and give up. That is another part of why people don’t succeed, is they don’t follow through to completion. They quit.

Improve Your Life One Lesson At A Time

They do a little bit. If it gets tough or confusing they abandon it. They dabble they don’t actually do. They flit from one thing to another trying many things. They don’t commit to a plan of action that works.

To succeed you must be clear about what you specifically want to accomplish. You must feel passionate enough about it to keep going and not let anything stop you. You have to cross the finish line.

Of all the people who begin the race not everyone crosses that finish line. More than that won’t even enter the race. You have to start, you have to work smart, you have to follow through and complete it.

Winners Never Quit – Quitters Never Win

When it comes to success you must be headstrong in the right way. Being obstinate about doing what is tried and true, just because you feel like you want to, isn’t very wise. BUT go ahead if you must.

To succeed remain steadfast. See it through to the end. Be willing to listen to those who got there before you. If they started out as you have. If you have nothing, nor did they when they began, listen!

Chances are they know something you can benefit from. They blazed the trail. You know how you tell the pioneers from those who come later? The pioneers are face down with arrows in their backs.

You May See Me Struggle But You Will Never See Me Quit

They led the way through most of the hardship and they know the pitfalls. They know what might and might not work. Pay attention and learn. Don’t be gullible or stupid about it but listen up!

Remember, success leaves clues. Sometimes, just sometimes, the advice being given is worth more than its weight in gold. One idea at the right time can transform your entire life. Be open minded.

Study, learn and grow. To know and not to do is not to know. Information or knowledge is only power when it is correctly applied. Otherwise, it is interesting but not transformative.

To See Further – Stand On The Shoulders Of Giants

So stop spinning your wheels. Do what works. Apply it and keep applying it until you succeed. You will if you stick with it. It may or may not come easy but you must keep at it if you want to win.

Learn from mistakes. Celebrate and embrace all opportunity to grow and develop. Challenges make us stronger and wiser if we examine and learn from them. If you don’t, they just suck.

Inside ever challenge is the seed of opportunity but you must find it. Learn to learn. Learn to control your thoughts and feelings. Learn to take right action and get the results you intend to get. Act with intention.

Cultivate The Habit Of Being Grateful

Be grateful for the opportunities presented to you and that you can pursue your dreams. Many others can’t or don’t realize they can simply based on where they live in the world. If you can, then stop whining and start celebrating everything!” Rex Sikes

The Reason Why 95% Of People Fail To Get What They Want

“Going after and getting what you want requires tenacity. If getting rich was always easy far more people would be rich. Whether you want success in your career, book more gigs, get an ideal job, have more romance and love in your life, be happier or buy that new home, it requires effort.

Success in all areas of your life, health, wealth, love, success, prosperity begins first in your mind. You must have the right mindset, attitude and beliefs. You must know you are capable of having what you want even when you aren’t exactly sure how to go about getting it. The results you are after first begin within you.

This Life Of Yours Is 100% Your Responsibility

You must know what you want. It must be worth it to you. You must be passionate about it and obsessed with getting it. It can’t be merely a passing fancy or you won’t last long in going for it. See it as having already happened in your mind. Affirm your ability to get it. Feel you can do it and perform the positive actions to get it.

Keep on working at it. Revise your plan.  Overcome and learn from obstacles and challenges until you arrive. Never give up if it is something you must have. Keep the faith always. This is the way you get what you want. You do not get it wishing and hoping for things to be different. You make it happen. You bring it about. Effort required.

You are always creating everything in your life. Your success and your failure. Your fun moments and your boredom. You never escape not creating what IS at any moment. Your response and your thoughts determine your feelings and your actions. Your mindset determines whether something is good or not good.

Accept Responsibility For Your Thoughts And Actions

You can’t escape this. I even suggest, if you are willing to, explore how what I just said isn’t true. Everything in your world, whether you enjoy it or not is up to you. Without your conscious participation none of it would exist as you know it. While this notion could be very abstract I simply mean you always determine the quality of your life.

Why do 95% not get what they want? Because they come up with excuses and reasons why they are not responsible for the outcomes and results they get. They will blame the world, god, others, the weather, the financial climate, themselves, their past upbringing, and anything else for why they can’t succeed as they want to.

The will consistently try to use these excuses and the stories they make up and tell again and again to explain why things are against them and it isn’t their fault. They have all the reasons, even great reasons why they should have but couldn’t get ahead. Their mindset isn’t supporting their success. It is inhibiting their success.

Be Accountable For The  Results You Get

You won’t succeed attributing your failures to others or things outside yourself. You must marshall your inner and outer resources and align them to go after, and continue to go after, what you want when the going gets tough. Your thoughts and attitude determine how far you will travel. Attitude is everything!

Your inner world must be rich with reasons why you succeed, why you can succeed and why you will continue to succeed. It must not be filled with junk logic and stories of how the world prevents you from reaching your  goals. EVEN if that WERE true it wouldn’t help you be or do or get what you want. Negativity doesn’t serve you.

Listen to coffee klatch conversation and you will hear the blames, the stories, the excuses, all the reasons why IT didn’t happen. IT never happens YOU make it happen. Listen, don’t try to change the person telling the stories it is up to them to learn and change themselves. Don’t argue with them, allow them to be who they are.

Take Ownership Of Your Mistakes

When we want to change and bring new things about; we want to think more positively or create new habits to replace old ones, when WE are making internal changes, these kind of stories and excuses can come up.  They’re part of our early conditioning. We learned them from others and made them our own.

We grew up being told things; we heard others discussing problems; we had our own experiences which we learned from. We soon realized  we may get in trouble if we don’t present the proper reason or excuse for our actions. We grew up learning to attribute certain things to ourselves and other things to others or the environment.

Much of our self attributions are negative. We blame ourselves for being stupid, weak, incapable and other negative things. We are afraid we won’t amount to anything or aren’t worthy. Perhaps, we feel we always have bad luck. That is the old negative chronic mental conditioning rearing its head when we blame ourselves or others.

Once You Take Responsibility For Everything In Your Life…

We blame ourselves, our parents, our teachers, our education or lack of it, the money we had or didn’t in early life, our home environment. Heck, we blame everything. As long as we blame we won’t accomplish because we are too busy finding all the reasons and excuses why we can’t and why we won’t. This is a given.

This is law. I’m not sure it is written anywhere, or if I just made up that it is law but figure it our for yourself. If all of your mental energies are focused on why something is wrong and can’t happen what is the likelihood it will? If you are preoccupied with YOUR personal story about what sucks what is RIGHT that you will find?

Not much right that is certain. In order to get what you want it helps if you take charge and shoulder that responsibility. If you get it or not own up to it. Then, if you wish to continue after it, you do what else you can do to potentially bring it about. When you take responsibility you put yourself in the position of power and control.

… You Can Transform Anything In Your Life

When you blame and excuse and tell all the reasons why you are unable you are a victim. If not in the real sense, you are in the mental sense. You live and think as a victim does, you have no control, no power, no ability to self-determine your present and future moments. Do you want to live without power or self-control?

Don’t look back on the past to make future changes unless your past supports you in that endeavor. Look to your successes to be more successful and not your failures or reasons why things didn’t work out for you before. Put on a positive, productive and powerful mindset and keep it on. That will help you to succeed.

You are not guaranteed success just by having a positive attitude all by itself. It is the beginning step you must have and must keep all the while in order to succeed. It is almost certainly guaranteed that you will not succeed maintaining a negative attitude. You won’t even begin to take action if you don’t think and feel it is possible.

You Are Responsible For Your Own Happiness

Why do 95% fail to reach their goals and dreams. Because they believe bullshit. They believe lies and stories they have been told and they keep telling for a long time. It is self deception. When we tell others our stories it is an attempt to save face and explain how circumstances, not ourselves, prevented us.

If you want to succeed. Get real. Stop the BS. Own up. Shoulder the responsibility, uncomfortable as it may first seem to be, but do it. Be responsible and accountable for your thoughts, feelings, actions and the results you get. Be honest. Be clear about it. Gear up your mind for success. Take control of it. Then success is much more likely.

When your mindset and attitude is right you feel right. When you feel right you do more of those positive actions that help you in your quest. You continue on despite the difficulty. Why? Because YOU are responsible IF you want to get the results. Others aren’t going to do your work for you. Get it? Own your changes! Own your actions!

Make Changes Or Make Excuses It Is Your Choice

Own the results you get favorable or not! Then you are a leader. You lead yourself. You are a commander. You determine what you want and you go after it. Others, if you are wise, can help in the spirit of friendly co-operation. You can assist others in similar fashion. Being in charge of yourself doesn’t put you in charge of others.

It can make you more attractive to others, Others may wish to help you because you are a person of passion, self determination, and inner strength. You are a positive force that others can recognize and respond to. Birds of a feather flock together. You can find yourself aligning with other powerful people to get things done.

So no more excuses. Find you inner champion. Take responsibility for all of your life. If you want more love be more loving. If you want better health engage in healthy practices. Be the change you want to become. Find the good in you and everywhere else. Find the reasons why it is possible, the solutions, and move forward. Look for all the reasons to be grateful right now and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

The Secret To Success And Happiness Few Know And Won’t Tell You

“When it comes to personal change most of the programs offering advice and solutions won’t tell you precisely what you need to know. They leave it out. Later, they tell you, if you are having difficulty making the program work, here is why, this is what you now must do. In the next few posts I will cover this topic area and more. Part 1.

It’s more honest and ethical to tell you what is required of you up front than to hook you, reel you in and then tell you, it is your fault it isn’t working. I don’t like that. However, it is useful to capture the imagination of people so they begin the journey otherwise they may not. BUT do tell them what it involves.

Many programs make it seem as if someone or something is going to help you from the outside. The ‘Secret’ will rescue you. Help will flow your way once you learn it. Well, learning it IS fine, but that actually is not enough. One, you must become it not simply learn it. Two, you are responsible for making it work nothing, no on else is.

Be Positive – Stay Positive – You Can Do It

If that sounds like bad news consider this post tough life. I want to tell you how it is. I don’t want to fill you with fluff or mislead you. Personal change and development is not magic. Yes, sometimes it can seem that way but the bottom line  there is a lot of work to do. Many people leave this out. There is work to do! Get over it.

Those who succeed are those who will do it. BUT few will. Many will begin but not follow through and actually accomplish much. Just as most self help books aren’t read past the first chapter most people, will begin, as they do on January 1, working on new resolutions only to abandon them some short time later. Fewer continue on.

Please, don’t be daunted by this, resolve to make a difference for yourself instead of being one of the many who drop out. Promise yourself to stick with it no matter what. Find a way to do just enough to make it possible. Stay with it and don’t overwhelm yourself with too much at one time. Drop by drop the tub fills. Be one of the few!

Drop by Drop – Bite By Bite – Step By Step

There is a lot of work. You are working on yourself to overcome chronic, old negative patterns and habits. You are working on yourself to get out of your comfort zone and overcome inertia, the tendency to do nothing. You are working to change your thoughts, feelings and actions so you can get better results and enjoy more.

You must decide to be in it for the long haul. You must dive in the pool and immerse yourself and not just dip your toes in. At times it will be easy at other times more difficult. That is how it is! It gets easier the more often you engage in the process and the longer you do it just as everything does. All things are difficult at first.

Remember, learning to read and write. There was a lot of effort involved up front. Was it worth it to you? You do it now without thinking about the process. Was it worth it to learn to ride a bike or drive a car? Now it is a reliable, easy habit. In order to make these abilities automatic you had to stick with them and repeat them.

The More We Do – The More We Can Do

You didn’t learn nor acquire the skills overnight and no one tapped you on the head and gave them to you without you applying yourself. In order for your life to be changed for the better you will have to change some things in your life. You will need to engage, and practice, and practice enough until you become it. You become it!

Learning to play the piano can be difficult at first, as is juggling, mathematics, speaking a new language, playing basketball, swimming, sitting up as an infant, crawling, walking and feeding oneself. Everything we NOW do we learned to do. We learned bathroom habits, hygiene and how to dress. Everything!

Consider this: as an infant you were far more tenacious than you may be right now. If you didn’t keep doing until you succeeded you would never have sat up and walked. You’d have starved had you not learned to feed yourself. BUT you never quit. You did everything you needed to in order to succeed. As an infant you were amazing!

Whatever We Want To Do With Ease – We First Do With Diligence

Growing up with others you LEARNED to give up. You LEARNED things were tough. You were TOLD you may not have it in you or you may not amount to anything. Blah, Blah. YOU BELIEVED THEM. You had already achieved so much and demonstrated you could learn to do incredible things, yet, you were influenced by others.

You may have been told you couldn’t learn well, you had a disability. We all got negative messages from well intending people. We modeled out attitudes we learned from watching others and concluded they were right when things got tougher. We tried three times and quit because that’s what we LEARNED to growing up.

Everything you do you have LEARNED to do, well or not, right or wrong. Yet, some people tell others they have learning disabilities. They don’t, barring neurological impairment. What they LEARN from others is HOW TO be disabled, how to make things tough, how to give up. This is what you also learn. You LEARN from messages.

If You Really Want To Do Something – You Will Find A Way

So be willing to work at it and do whatever it takes for as long as it takes and you will do fine. Only, afterwards, but, perhaps along the way, it will become worth it for you. At some point you will look back and notice how far you traveled and feel wonderful about it. It WILL  be worth it. Hang in there. Commit! Do it as that infant did it.

Those who begin and keep going eventually get there. Though the journey may be difficult at times, those who persist arrive. Those who quit don’t. Far fewer get there than the number who start. That is just the way it is. You and I need to decide which statistic we will be. Will we finish or will we abandon? It is up to each of us! Decide.

You Will Never Be Happy Or Succeed Without Self Control

“We can exercise deliberate, intentional control of our thoughts, attitudes and feelings. This is wonderful news. Do you believe it? Hill’s philosophy of achievement is contingent on learning conscious control.

They same can be said of others thought leaders and ancient texts. If you don’t believe it is possible you will never come to know the power you could have because your thoughts prevent you. Get it?

Is that how you want to live? Prevented by a mental packet of energy? Thoughts are things. Whether true or not we take them seriously. We have feelings about them. We are stopped by them.

Either You Do Or You Don’t – There Is No In Between

They either inspire us and move us forward or we feel not so good, not so motivated or unable to do what we would like to. If we don’t believe it is possible or worth it we don’t do it. We stop ourselves.

Why on earth would we ever allow this to happen? Why don’t we choose better than we do?  Habit. Our habitual, chronic negative thinking keeps us stuck for as long as we don’t change it.

Our subconscious mind learns all sorts of things growing up. It neurologically wires in all of our behaviors, our beliefs and our attitudes. There is virtually nothing we didn’t learn from repetition.

Repetition Is The Mother Of Skill

We learned to roll over, sit, up, balance, crawl, walk, feed and dress ourselves through repeated trial and error. We weeded out extraneous movements that didn’t serve us and repeated those that did. We developed neural pathways. We wired the learning in!

We learned to speak listening to sounds over and over again. Then we babbled, repeatedly making attempts to talk until we did.  We learned our native language. We could have learned any language.

We learned our ABC’s by repetition. We learned printing and then cursive and then how to type on a computer through repetition. We learned to read by doing it over and over. Repetition builds skill.

Motivation Gets Us Started Commitment Keeps Us Going

We learned everything! We laid down pathways to become automatic so that today we walk and talk, dress ourselves, drive to work, write emails, checks, without having to even think about it.

We learned to think and act. We learned positive beliefs and attitudes. We learned negative beliefs and attitudes. Whether either are true or not we learned to have them. We believe many lies.

These were formed through input not whether or not they were right or wrong, true, false, correct or valid. It didn’t matter whether they were destructive or constructive. We learned them anyway.

It Is Not About Perfect It Is About Effort

We act from and live from old ways of thinking and behaving which may or may not be true at all. We adopted what we think we can do and what we think we can’t do from those around us while young.

We adopted the limitations from others. We learned a lot of negative, limited  thinking. We learned to habitually, chronically, automatically, in a friendly way, to carry those out. We live by them.

These are our thinking and feeling patterns, our beliefs, attitudes, actions, inaction, good and not so good habits. Our brain learned to do these things. It does them to help us run efficiently, automatically and to stay alive. It works for us on our behalf. It is awesome!

These things are the only things it knows to do.

It does not care whether the patterns or habits it learns are positive or negative, good or bad, healthy or unhealthy, rich or poor. It doesn’t judge anything. It doesn’t have that critical faculty.

When You Apply The Effort Every Day – Transformation Happens

Our conscious mind is the seat of judgement. When we say the subconscious is sabotaging us it really isn’t. It is being most helpful. It is doing what it learned to do. It is serving us. It is our friend.

Because we can assess and judge, and decide we want something else, we declare it is doing opposite.  So we label it as resistance or sabotaging. We criticize ourselves for what we learned.

In reality it is truly our friend. We just don’t like what it learned to do. If we re-train it, re-condition it, it will serve us positively in the same friendly, reliable, automatic, habitual way. AND we’ll enjoy it.

Your Past Does Not Have To Equal Your Future

Consider a wild stallion. It runs free in the wild. Grew up free and does its own thing. The horse person now wants to ‘break’ the stallion so it can be ridden and be a productive domesticated animal.

The horse doesn’t ever try to sabotage the rider. The horse only does what it learned to do. Once ‘broken’ means it learns to do other things and the rider then controls the horse and utilizes its power.

The conscious mind must control and direct the subconscious mind in order to get it to work as the conscious mind desires. This is why it is important to follow Hill’s philosophy. Follow the ancient’s wisdom.

Commitment Transforms A Promise Into Reality

You must know what you want and it must be absolutely worth it to you to get it. You must desire it because if it isn’t worth it to you neither will be your effort. You won’t persist when it gets tough.

You must believe you will ultimately get it. You must learn how to control your emotions, focus your thoughts and feelings, maintain a positive attitude because in all these you are learning control.

When you have control you can make your dreams come true.

You are teaching the horse how to behave. It will eventually co-operate if you are a good instructor, and never give up along the way. It will buck and kick, because that is what it learned to do.

In Order To Become Good You Must Practice And Repeat

If you are persistent and continually, repeatedly, communicate to it the way it understands, so that it gets your intentions and your messages, it will learn the new behaviors. Absolutely it will!

Once learned and conditioned it will serve you well. There is a cost. Nothing is free. It takes time, energy and dedication to help it learn these new things. It doesn’t happen over night but it will happen.

The reason you learn to condition your mind and maintain a positive attitude, is because it is more likely you will be successful by staying positive and moving forward than by being negative and staying stuck. To maintain, means to persist when the going gets tough.

Practice And Repeat Practice And Repeat Practice And Repeat

If you think defeatist thoughts and let them override your positivity and you feel bad as a result, you might not keep going. Heck, of course you won’t keep going. That is a given. You will quit.

If you are optimistic, feel like you are making progress, and enjoy the effort, you are more apt to see it through. THIS is why so much emphasis is placed on learning to control your thoughts and feelings.

Without that control the horse does what it wants. You must become the rider in charge. Then you can ride the horse wherever you want and it will continue to be faithful and serve you.

Secret To A Great Life: Think Positive – Feel Positive – Talk Positive

We all have negative thoughts. We were brought up in a culture where negativity is common. Messages we hear from media, parents, educators, peers are frequently very negative.

Bad news and gossip rule our day. Just because we have negative thoughts doesn’t mean we have to accept or entertain them. We can refuse to think them. Once aware we can let them go. We can!

You may not be able to change everything about your life. You might not be able to alter all of your circumstances but you can take charge of yourself. In fact, that is all you can really take charge of.

What Consumes Your Mind Controls Your Life

You can absolutely gain control over your thoughts, feelings, actions and behaviors and design for yourself the kind of person you want to be. You have choice. Choose to think positive. Be productive.

When you become aware of negative thinking.  Stop it. Interrupt it. Take a deep breath or do something to switch gears.  Say cancel or go away, or no thanks. Anything to break the thought pattern.

Then deliberately choose to focus on something positive. When you think about what you don’t want. Stop and switch your thinking to what you do want. Yes, it takes effort to train the horse/brain.

Success Is A State of Mind Start Thinking Of Yourself As A Success

The effort is worth it. You will discover if the rewards outweigh the price you pay to become a positive thinker by doing it. To not attempt do it, because it isn’t worth it, is another negative thought.

There is no middle ground. Either you think positive or negative. Either you are predominantly a positive thinker of a negative thinker. What other choices are there? There aren’t any.

It all boils down to choice. You either chose to think positive or you choose to think negative. You either choose to be the one in charge or you choose to be the one controlled. You decide! It is up to you!

You Are What You Decide

You either ride the horse or the horse takes you for a ride. Which is it? You either act or you don’t. You are either proactive or passive. You either make things happen or things happen to you.

If you aren’t the one in charge then you are the one at effect. So which will you be? Decide. Will you be at cause or at effect? If you do nothing you you will be and remain at effect.

You drift with however things go. Good or bad, up or down.

You can call the shots as you learn how. You can make things happen, as you take control. Life can be better than you ever imagined when you put yourself in charge. It will be!

The Power To Change Your Life Is In Your Decisions

Condition your subconscious mind, train it to do your bidding. It already knows how to do things, you just need to make it do what you want instead of what you don’t want.

You do that by concentrating and putting all your energy, you attention and focus on what you do want in a POSITIVE way. Keep doing it until it gets the message. Send it a crystal clear message!

The more enthused you are, the better you feel, the stronger your signal.  This is why you imagine what you want as if you already have it. This is why it is important to feel marvelous feelings strongly.

I’m Not A Product Of Circumstance I’m A Product Of My Decisions

The more clearly you tell your subconscious what you want in positive ways, vivid pictures, positive self-talk (and outer discussion) and strong positive feelings the quicker it gets the message.

Then it will it do what you trained, conditioned and programmed it to do. Hooray! No one can do this for you, but you. If you don’t, you won’t. Get up on the horse, if you fall off, get back on it.

Teach your brain, your subconscious mind, to do your bidding.

This is absolutely the one most powerful thing you can do for yourself. Learn how to control your thinking process instead of being a victim of it. Little by little you will gain immense control.

Life Isn’t What Happens To Me – Life Is What I Make Happen

Be patient, be tolerant. If you fall, don’t add to negative thinking by criticizing, instead re-aim your thoughts. Pat yourself on the back for recognizing and becoming aware of, and for changing your thoughts.

You don’t punish the toddler when the child falls while learning to walk. Don’t punish yourself either when learning new things. Be gentle, loving and accepting of yourself. Be patient and enjoy it all.

When you learn to take charge of your own mind and run it, instead of being run by it, then you have more power over events and circumstances. You understand more how to navigate them.

Either You Run The Day Or The Day Runs You

You no longer attempt to control others because you don’t need to. When you learn how to positively condition your mind for success and happiness you transform yourself for the better.

You can see more opportunities you would otherwise miss. You are more resourceful during difficulties. You resolve to make things happen and you get what you want. You understand commitment.

You can do more good, be helpful to others, and have more fun. You become more of the kind of person other people want to be around because you radiate good feelings and vibes.

I Am The Master Of My Fate –  I Am The Captain Of My Soul

You live in a new positive way, freed from much of you previous past negative conditioning. You unburden yourself so you can move forward. Now, you can continue to take positive steps toward making your goals and dreams reality. BECAUSE You know how.

You go beyond many of your previous limitations. By learning to do this you deliberately evolve yourself. Life becomes much more delightful. So take stock, keep track of your successes and that which you appreciate. Be grateful. Life is grand. Delight in it and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Why And What To Do When The Poo Hits The Propeller!

“Okay, you saw The Secret, you practice the Law Of Attraction, you maintained a positive attitude and things got worse. WTF? Why on earth should things turn sour. ‘It’s not fair’, you might exclaim.

Yes, you may be doing many things right. You have tried different practices. You have maintained them for awhile. Perhaps, as you would say, ‘I’ve tried everything but nothing works!’

Let’s pretend there is a god or a source or an intelligence that governs the universe and its laws. Imagine this infinite source of wisdom and benevolence.

Hardship Prepares Ordinary People For An Extraordinary Destiny

Imagine this source is actually you but you have, long ago, forgotten this about yourself. You pretend, in so many ways, to be limited and have issues. Just pretend again for a moment and accept the premise as possible. It is a hypothetical exercise. Try it on.

You have all this incredible power and wisdom to tap into but you don’t and you haven’t. Instead you bought into everything that was told to you, modeled for you while growing up and older.

Instead of living from your source of power you live from limitation and lack. Not completely, sometimes things are great, sometimes not. Things are the way they are. You like and you don’t at times.

Hardship  Comes From The Outside Failure Only From The Inside

You want more. You decide you will practice positive thinking and related disciplines. You begin and you expect the best. Lo and behold the fan gets covered with crap and you thought you’d be free of it.

This is the experience of many people. Why? Because they think if they just think right everything will magically change and they won’t actually have to do anything at all. They hope, wish, and pray.

That inner you, that wiser infinite source, knows you could be handed everything on a platter or you could evolve and learn and make things happen by getting back in touch with what makes you powerful.

God Gives His Toughest Battles To His Strongest Soldiers

In order for you to tap into your higher self you need to be challenged so you will seek yourself. Otherwise, you won’t. Most people don’t pray unless times get bad and then they become the consummate beggar.

Pleading that things change miraculously for them. Hoping, wishing, doubting, but pleading, ‘paleaseeeeee! I promise I will be good.’ They put their faith and requests outside of themselves.

They miss totally the possibility to change. They think it is from outside! Somehow, things will come to them if they think right or do right. That is why most people miss the boat on the LOA.

The Biggest Obstacles In Life Are The Barriers Our Mind Creates

People want to be spared the hardship. They want to avoid trials and tribulations. They want the cozy, cushy, lush, lavish good life dropped in their lap.

If you want to get to the top of Everest you gotta do the climbing.  If you want to possibly win the race you have to at least be dedicated to finishing. That is the law. Mindset and action. Keep going and never give up. See it through to the end.

You get challenged because you are bigger than you think you are. Your limited mind isn’t aware of it so you need to become convinced. You need to be tested by fire and made aware of what you are capable of. You need to learn who you are. So things turn crappy.

Obstacles Are Those Frightful Things You See…

This is precisely when you must apply, you must persist, you must maintain your course and positive attitude. Yet, this is the same exact time many throw in the towel and complain that nothing they tried works. Nothing you try will work.  It is you that works or doesn’t.

When you expect the LOA attraction or someone or something else to come to your aid and miraculously save you or solve your problems you are missing  YOU. You are putting your faith in magic instead of your infinite talents and wisdom and abilities.

You are the creator and you create these tests so you could find yourself again. It is the quest. The journey. The challenges, the stakes that are there for you to prove yourself. To find yourself.

… When You Take Your Eyes Off Your Goal

It is all about you. Struggles come. Learn from them. Rise above them. Accept the challenge. Learn to laugh in the face of difficulty. You are either bigger than the problems or they are bigger than you. Which it is determines how you live and what you get or don’t get.

The opportunity is for you to come into your own incredible power. To find yourself. Many will quit and claim the LOA doesn’t work. Too bad for them. Too bad for you if you do that. If you can’t find and remember your inner greatness then you miss out.

You find it from challenge not from cozy, comfort where everything comes to you from the outside. Can you create that? Sure, but not without learning how to navigate all the woes first. You move through the negative to the positive because that IS how it works.

When You Face Your Struggles You Overcome Them

You become a champion by contest. You win by playing and finishing the game well. If you wimp out you are finished. If you see it through to the end you can win the prize.

Life is whatever it is. Easy, hard. Accept it. Get over it. And Get on with it. We’ll look into this more in coming posts. Meanwhile, understand,  shit happens for you to rise above it. For you to learn there isn’t anything you can’t handle or you can’t do if you put your mind to it.

We Grow When We Face Challenges Not When It Is Easy

Some people want to claim the goods without the effort. The effort is your evidence. When you successfully navigate the toughest times you discover what you are made of and what you can do. Otherwise it is only theory. You are the proof.

Without the tough times you have no evidence. Once you do you can be confident you can handle anything. You know your power. You are secure in your abilities. You realize you are a powerful, positive creator and attractor. There is no doubt. You have come home to yourself and who you are.

This is what so many people, perhaps most people, don’t understand about pursuing your goals and making your dreams come true. Whenever troubled learn to smile and to laugh. Let nothing stop you.  Develop the attitude that you can handle anything that comes your way and you will. Appreciate it all and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

You Get What You Command! What Are You Worth?

“I had a great coaching session recently. A client was struggling with pricing their services. My client was not sure what to ask. We reviewed the strengths, weaknesses and merits of what he offered.

It is a good product and could be valued very highly. Still, he felt unsure. The key to pricing is win win. You have to be satisfied with your fees. They must fit for you. You have to be fully congruent.

If you ask too much and don’t believe you are worth it you will not get it. You always radiate and transmit what you believe you are worth. Nor is it good if you ask too little and aren’t happy with it.

Self Worth Comes From One Thing – Thinking You Are Worthy

You must be at home, congruent, aligned with what you put your service value at. Don’t be concerned with the ‘common sense’ market value at first. Get your attitude right first.

Once you get your mindset right we can discuss the market and business principle at another time. FOR NOW manage your thinking. Get your beliefs, your words and feelings into alignment.

Then know and remember the following!

Beautiful! Whatever you ask of life life would have willingly paid! However, sadly, many of us don’t ask much. We don’t ask much or expect much or ourselves either. It could be different for us!

I started off talking about fees because of a wonderful coaching session I had. The truth is it isn’t only about fees it is about what you expect and demand of life. What do you expect in each area of life?

Whatever We Plant In Our Subconscious Minds…

Life will give you whatever you ask of it. More importantly, you will give you whatever you ask of yourself. Again and again thought leaders stress, ask it, declare it, command it. YOU make it so!

You have to believe you are worth it! Whether it is the fees you command in business, or the enjoyment and love you command in life. The respect you get, the fun you have, the leisure you enjoy.

It is all up to you and you mindset. Your attitude. Are you thinking about what you want and speaking that or are you thinking about what you don’t want and complaining and blaming?

… And Nourish With Repetition And Emotion…

Are you creating value for yourself and others? Are you promoting positivity and increase or negativity and decrease? LIFE will give you what you ask of it. What are you worth? What do you believe?

If you aren’t getting everything you want in any area of your life it is time to address your beliefs and change them. Either they support you and what you want or they do not. It truly is either or.

You may need to change some of your beliefs. We all do. Go back through these blog pages. There is so much valuable material for making the changes you want. Put it to use. Study and apply it!

Two lessons today. Ask for what you want and believe you will get it. Make sure you believe it. Make sure everything you think and say supports that you will get it. Speak only to bless, heal and prosper.

… Will One Day Become A Reality

If you don’t believe it that is what you must first work on. Change your beliefs so you do believe it. Here is an easy way to begin doing that. When you become aware of thinking or expressing limitations.

When you find yourself thinking or hear yourself say anything expressed as what you do not want, ‘I don’t want to miss out’. Change it to the opposite. Speak what you do want.

‘I want to be included,’ or ‘I want to make it happen.’  Speak the opposite of any limitation you become aware of. Say the positive opposite statement over and over again. It works when you do it!

What You Can Conceive And Believe You Can Achieve

Assert it, declare it. Say it with energy, enthusiasm and strong emotion. Make the positive statements your affirmations or mantras. Your thoughts determine the results you ultimately get.

If you have weak, negative or penny thoughts that is what you get. SO put a guard before your mind and lips and think and speak only the best, most positive, powerful thoughts you can.

Keep at it. Repeat the new thoughts over and over and over. Eventually, they will take hold and stick. This is one way to change a limiting belief into a positive supportive belief.

Ask And You Shall Receive – Command Ye Me

Keep in mind what Napoleon said: ‘Remember, no more effort is required to aim high in life, to demand abundance and prosperity, than is required to accept misery and poverty.’ Do you believe it?

If not, that is where you start the changes. Be thorough, be rigorous with yourself if you want to get ahead. Don’t beat yourself up but don’t allow yourself to succumb to thinking weakly either.

Think strong, powerful, positive thoughts. Decide you can do this and then do it.  Take charge of your thoughts and your statements. Speak only to bless, heal, prosper and inspire! Also, look around and appreciate and celebrate everything.” Rex Sikes

Don’t Miss This Critical Point Few Realize: You Are Already That!

“What do you need to move forward? What do  most people need? Did you know that everything you need is within your reach. It is so close to most people, most people miss it. All you need to do to make massive, positive, powerful changes is wake up to it, recognize it, claim it and utilize it. This is a simple, but powerful message.

You are already that which you seek. You already have all the resources within you. You are the divine and simply forgotten. My job is only to remind you. Much of what I share is ancient wisdom handed down through the ages. I assembled what I have delved into, researched, simplified and synthesized for 4 decades.

I am not able to add anything to you, no one can. You can come into your own, realize who you are and the power you have within. All I really do through this blog, workshops, seminars, talks and materials is attempt to remind you. You are truly already that which you seek. You are playing that divine game of hide and seek.

Creating A Life You Love Takes Dedication

Your brain is designed so marvelously. It works, barring neurological damage, perfectly well. We grow up learning and absorbing what we do from those around us. Their learning, experiences and previous conditioning becomes ours through absorption. We learn by listening, modeling and experience.

None of what we learn is true. It isn’t untrue. It just is whatever it is. The best way to think about it is this way; it is either supportive or non-supportive, uplifting or not. It either helps us fulfill ourselves and live the lives we want or it doesn’t. It doesn’t matter whether it is actually true we believe it to be. We believe many false things.

When I and others before me, and around me, say you can take control of your brain, your mind, your thoughts and direct them to get what we want in life we mean it. The incredible creative and transformative power of being in charge of your thinking is amazing and we want you to experience it. You can. You really can.

It Is Fun To Live On Purpose

You don’t need anything added to you, except perhaps reminders, for you to assume control and begin to condition your mind to replace old unsupportive programs with new, updated supportive ones. You use the resources within yourself to exercise your will to accomplish this and your dreams.

It begins within you. Mentors and coaches can help and do but you must realize it is up to you to do it. We can’t do it for you. No coach can win the medal for the athlete. The athlete is the one who performs. It is the same thing here. We can model, guide, show, instruct, correct and remind, we can be a wake up call and that is it.

Everything else is your responsibility. If you want to create all the goodness you can enjoy realize you are already creating everything in your life good and not so good. The first step is your awareness as a creator. The first step is become aware and take full responsibility for EVERYTHING. No blaming or excusing. Time to own up.

Success Is A Deliberate Act

When you realize each moment is what you make it you realize incredible power to determine how you want your moments to be. You decide, is this a supportive or not? Is this bringing me increase or decrease? Is this what I want or don’t want? Then focus on what you want, that which increases enjoyment and is supportive.

You create, attract, manifest, make happen, allow, everything that is in your life right now. You will create, attract, manifest, make happen and allow everything that you have in your life in the next moment and beyond. NO one else is doing it to or for you but you. Remember, you are divine but have forgotten it.

You are made up of everything else there is. You are made of the same star dust as is everything else. You are vibrations, you are energy, atoms assembled as a bag of skin and bone, a carbon based biped but in it all you are the same energy with all that is. You are one and the same. You have the wisdom of the eons within you.

Direct Your Manifesting Powers

You are an expression of all that is and has ever  been. You can believe it or not. It doesn’t matter. Believe what is supportive, positive and leads to your increase. Believe what helps you live your dreams while allowing others to live theirs. Believe what brings you greater happiness, love, success and positivity.

Your power comes from your thoughts, your beliefs and the decisions you make. You either decide to assume responsibility and control or you decide to allow others that responsibility and control. One brings you greater freedom than the other. One allows you to live your bliss the other to suffer more. Still, only you can decide.

My job, a mentor or coaches job, is to be the wake up call, the alarm clock, the voice in the wilderness, the loving family member who nags you into doing it. We invite. I invite you to begin to live an incredible life if you aren’t happy with the life you have so far. If you want better you can have better and allow others the same.

Live Your Truth

So the reminder I invite you to look into each day, with each blog, each talk, each workshop, each daily discussion is to remember how wonderful you are and what an incredible creator you are. You already are. The question is only this, are you creating what you want to have that delights you and brings you more of the same?

If not, then begin now. The power is in your very next decision. Live the life of your dreams by recognizing who you are and what you are capable of. Begin to aim your focus at all that is good, right, working, supportive, positive and up-lifting. Enjoy, appreciate and celebrate whatever you have already created. Acknowledge your strength.

Even if you lacked good taste or judgement or positive know how until now, accept and celebrate. Be thankful you realize you are responsible because that allows you to focus on what you prefer. Manage your thoughts focus on what you want to have. Instead of being a haphazard creator become a deliberate creator.

When You Change Your Focus You Can Change Anything

Include that which is wonderful and focus on that to the exclusion of all else. Allow yourself to use your heart and mind to create the career, love, happiness, success, wealth, health you want to have. Bring about what you think about because you already do. Use good taste and good judgement to make your life blissful.

Fill each moment with delight, appreciation, feeling wonderful, and you will have more of the same. You will create it, attract it because you will be it do it and have it. Remember, who you are. You are responsible. You can deliberately create. That is your future and it begins right now. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Transformation Doesn’t Happen Doing Things That Don’t Work

“How do you get what you want when circumstances seem to run counter to what you want to accomplish? What do you do when faced with real problems? What does it mean to ‘think positive’ and control your thoughts and direct your mind?

This is a follow-up from my last post. I switched posts today to include this response to a question I was asked. I decided to utilize it as my blog for today because the information applies to all areas of life. Be sure to read tomorrow’s blog as well.

Yesterday, I included a quote from Napoleon Hill that said we should get beyond our differences. The question asked was this, ‘How can this be accepted when there is an other that wants the worst for you? I mean real harm and is doing it.’

I have added some additional information here not included in my original reply. When I say ‘you’ I always mean, you and me.

Circumstances are almost never ideal for what you want to accomplish. The must be changed. You must push through them to get what you want. You decide what you want and focus on getting it.

The reason many don’t succeed is they sit waiting for conditions to be perfect before they try anything. That day rarely arrives. So they wait and they loose out. Wait all you will. Do nothing and nothing is what you get back.

Those who make their way dictate the circumstances. They plant by taking action and preparing the soil. The get it ready, plant the seed, and nurture it to fruition. The do what it takes to get what they want. They make the conditions work for them. They act.

Change Starts In Your Thoughts

You rise above it. You don’t stoop to another lower level. You get what you focus on. If you focus on harm you get harm. If you focus on hate you get hate. People need to focus on what they want to create and ignore what they don’t want.

If someone chased you down the street – run and get safe. THEN stop thinking about that event and create what you want for the future. If you think revenge you only perpetuate the cycle of violence. You must go beyond it.

Transformation Is Often More About Unlearning Than Learning

Those who make their way dictate the circumstances. They plant by, taking action and, preparing the soil. The get it ready, plant the seed, and nurture it to fruition. They do what it takes to get what they want. They make the conditions work for them. They act.

FACE it in all the thousands of years war has never succeeded. An eye for an eye has never ever succeeded. We still have war and we still have violence. Perhaps, we ought to do as the song says and actually, GIVE peace a chance.

We don’t get better by focusing on what is wrong unless it moves us away from what is wrong so we can focus on what is right. Fear won’t make you safe.  You can be locked behind closed doors completely physically safe and still exist in fear.

Fear can be a signal you need to be safe. But then you need to remove the fear from your mind and your mind from the fear. Otherwise, you can die in fear behind safely locked doors. How is that a better life?

Begin To Be Now What You Will Be Hereafter

You become what you think about. You attract what you are. Success breeds success. Happiness breeds happiness. Poverty breeds poverty. Sickness doesn’t breed health nor well-being. You don’t get well thinking how sick they were

ONLY by becoming what you want to have more of will you get what you want more of. Rise above the low levels, the low standards, the hate and violence. Become someone who doesn’t feed the negative.

Keep in mind the story of the two dogs fighting. The one who wins is the one you feed. Stay positive starve the negative.

Are there threats out there. Sure.  If you wonder why and dwell on it you feed it. If you decide to act safely, sanely, positively and peacefully your life and those of others might be better. If you decide to love others maybe others will too.

Go First

They certainly won’t if you don’t. Someone has to begin it. If you insist the other side starts before you do it will never happen because you still are living in blame and accusation and continuing to create more of the very things you claim to want to end.

Go First! You have to go first and be a trail blazer and an positive role model.  Be a leader and one who inspires others to do the same.

IF you want peace be peaceful. There really is no other way than to become what you want to be. It is BE, then Do those things consistent and congruent with your being and you will HAVE.

Poor, unhappy and the hateful think it is the other way around. If only we have it a certain way, or eliminate certain people or things then we could do those things that would make us be happy, successful, safe or better of.

Be The First

Or they think if they have the right conditions then they will be successful, happy and safe then they can do whatever their heart desires. It doesn’t work either of these to ways. That is why so few are successful, happy and safe. It is BE, DO, HAVE.

Hate mongers do what is consistent with their hate. They behave and act hatefully. So they have more people hate them as a result. It doesn’t end when you do the same thing over and over again hoping for a different result. It hasn’t yet, has it?

It only can end when you break the cycle of doing what you do not want. The problem is hating is working to create more hating. You have to stop hating.

YOU have to stop hating FIRST for the possibility of it to end. If you ultimately want peace being pro war, pro hate, pro intolerance and violent you will never have it.

Be A Powerful Positive Inspiring Leader

You have to stop the cycle of violence and DO anything else in a positive direction. Then there is a greater chance for success.

Consider the rule of reciprocity which means if I do something nice for you, you feel obligated to return the niceness. I take you out for dinner and pay the bill what do you feel like doing in return? Take me out too, right? ‘I got it this time, you bought last time’. right?

Well, if I give you the finger and call you a name what do you feel like doing back to me? Only worse. Only bigger and harder so you teach me a lesson or so I can never again do it to you. Think of all the drivers flipping each other off. Road rage.

It takes two to tango. It takes, or more, to fight. If you don’t engage what is the other left with. If they give you the finger and you don’t get riled and return it what are they left with. It only gets out of control when people feed it, invest in it, engage in it, contribute to it.

Who Do You Lead?  Why, Yourself Of Course

If you don’t react with anger they drive off angry but it doesn’t escalate. SO in order to keep calm someone has to go first. Someone has to behave that way. Someone has to BE calm! Not pour gas on the fire. Disengage, withdraw the energy and put it into positivity.

Be peace, be love, be kindness, be generosity, be open. Be it, do it and you can have it! That IS how it works. Birds of a feather do flock together. Create a conspiracy of love and peace and happiness.

Create a world where there is enough for all (and there already IS enough for all) and more of the world will become nicer and nicer. Be a thought leader. Inspire others to positive action. Be a role model.

In order to get along YOU have to get along. In order to keep hate alive you hate, or do nothing, but worry about it. What you resist persists. Love could conquer all if people would BE more loving.

You Don’t Have To Be Great To Start

Be what you want to have. DO what you are and you will have more of that too. Whatever you are you get more back. We attract what we are. We attract what we are feeling. People respond to us.

If you are unhappy you get more unhappiness back. If you are broke and worried about debt you get more back. If you are happy you get more back. If you are rich you get more back. Whatever you are positive or negative you get back.

IT simply works this way. We have to face this and work with it.

Your results are an indication of what you are creating. What you are creating is a direct reflection of what you are thinking. Thoughts become things. From within to without.  If your outer world is disorganized it is because your inner world is first.

But You Have To Start To Be Great

Our actions speak louder than words and reflect who we are. What we have is an indication of what we think or don’t think. The outer world reflects our thought world. We create what we think about.

Use your thought intentions to create peace. Project love and peace and blessings. It may take some time and enough people but eventually it can work. It will take sometime because war is profitable for those who cause them.

People who can’t wrap their head around how we can have a peaceful world simply continue to perpetuate what we have. Their best options don’t solve anything because they aren’t at a different level where the solution exists. They are fighting fire with fire.

Want to be safe. Create a safe place. Make it safe for everyone. Work for what you want not against what you don’t want. Sadly, many who want safety don’t want it for everyone. They want  fear and chaos because they can profit.

Transformed People Transform People

They want to eliminate the threats rather than have real peace. They want war instead of solutions. We have to say no to these, then let go and turn our attention to creating what we want.

It is never going to happen by accident. It is never going to happen without resolve and commitment. It may take decades and decades. There is always a price to pay for success in anything.

Dedication to the cause. Athletes know the price of a gold medal. We shouldn’t expect anything to be without commitment. When we truly commit we can change ourselves and the world one by one.

You don’t pretend that problems aren’t there but instead of focusing on them you focus on what you want. Note the issue, use it to determine what you want and then focus on getting what you want.

Im Possible

I fell down today leaving my house. In my past I would have complained and bitched. This isn’t the perfect analogy but my point is, steer your thoughts to what you want to be, do and have in the future.

Today, I thought, I want to house with a safe entrance. For the purpose of this example, I could have focused on what is wrong with the house and complained and moaned about it. Instead falling made me think about what I do want. I want a safe entrance to my house.

What we do between now, the issue, and then, the future, is important. For the future to be what we want it to be we need to be it now. Tomorrow is based on today’s thoughts and actions.

We need to focus on what is good and right and working if we want more of that, then. If we focus on what is wrong and not working we will have more of that, then.

Limits Like Fears Are Just Illusions

NOW is the only time we have. What we do in this moment IS important. It determines what will be. BE now what you want the future to be. Accentuate the positive.

Take those positive actions to make it better. Then you can have a more positive future. Yet, too many people get distracted. The look at what they want, then they focus on what is wrong.

Then they remind themselves of what they want and then look at how it hasn’t happened yet. The focus on the gap between then and now and wonder why they have a problem. People stay stuck that way.

They stay stuck because of what they spend their time devoted to. The look at how they don’t have what they want yet and get more of the same in return. They create the absence of what they want.

Our Beliefs Aren’t True We Just Believe They Are

To make it work you have to maintain your predominant focus on what is wanted. You can’t go back and forth and expect to move much. Focus, focus, focus! Positive, negative, positive negative. It will always be negative mostly until it is mostly positive!

We become what we think about most often. We get what we think about day in and day out. If we are wishy washy we stay where we are. That is why more people don’t create better lives or all of us create a better world. We are distracted and wishy washy.

All of the media, the politicians, the religious leaders focus on what is wrong, sinful, bad, and how we don’t have enough, won’t have enough of and how others are out to take our share. They keep us thinking we are broken and there isn’t enough for everyone.

IT is a huge distraction that keeps us from uniting to focus on what we could have if we would aim for it. Stop being distracted. Get clear about what is possible and aim to create it. Stop buying into others agendas and let’s set ones good fore everyone.

Be Willing To Challenge Your Beliefs And Limitations

We need to tip the balance in favor of what we want. Simple enough. If you can’t see how that works THAT is the problem that first needs to be resolved. Become what you want to have in the world FIRST then you will see the way. Celebrate everything now and you can celebrate everything even more in the future. ” Rex Sikes

Did You Know Negative Thinkers Use Affirmations Too?

“You have heard the saying, ‘be careful what you wish for  because you might just get it.’ Have you ever had that experience. You worried, feared or dreaded something coming up and just as you thought it came to pass. Sucks right?

From the dawn of human kind, it seems, and certainly since early recorded history, AND today, neuroscience bears it out, thought precedes action. The predictor of the results we get is our thoughts.

The thought leaders in philosophy, science and religion have known this and promoted it for centuries. The wealthy, the successful and the powerful have known this.

If You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

Of course, they don’t want anyone else to know it because the elite wants to remain elite. So they obfuscate it. Still, the truth wins out and we have been able to get it in various forms.

If you don’t use it you don’t know it. You may know about it but that is as far as it goes. What you know about it may be accurate or not. Many people are misinformed. Many people think they know.

IF YOU AREN’T DOING EVERYTHING IT TAKES to make your life more wonderful, your thoughts more positive, to feel your very best then YOU DON’T KNOW IT. You really don’t know it.

You Are Today Where Your Previous Thoughts Brought You

If you aren’t using it to improve yourself daily you are missing incredible opportunities and advantages. In order to feel your very best you need to think positively and do whatever it takes.

If you don’t think that is absolutely true then you prove my point.

If you think you can think just anything or any old way, and it doesn’t matter you are incorrect. What you think absolutely matters and creates effects. Our thoughts affect our body and our health.

What you eat or drink affects your health. Whether you get enough sleep or not affects your health.  Whether you move or exercise or not affects your health. Your thinking greatly affects your health.

You Will Be Tomorrow Where Today’s Thoughts Take You

If you don’t pay attention to what you eat, drink, whether you get enough sleep or exercise my guess is you aren’t in that great of mental, physical, emotional, spiritual shape or well-being.

How could you be in great shape if you let yourself go and don’t take care of yourself? You know your finances would be in terrible shape if you let them go and didn’t pay any attention to them, right?

Your thoughts matter. They may matter more than any of the rest of these things. They dictate what you do regarding these other areas. Your thoughts determine your feelings, your actions and results.

You Cannot Escape The Powerful Results Of Your Thougts

If you want to be able to do anything in this life you must believe it is possible. You must think that you can. You must be willing to try and want to do it in order to actually do it.

If you don’t believe it is worth it, or if it is too difficult and you don’t want to and if you are unwilling to attempt it then you won’t. You won’t even try. Will you? No, You won’t? Unless…

Unless what? What is it that would get you to do something you refuse to do? What would get you to do something you think you can’t do or see no benefit in? Consider this. What would it be?

What would have to occur for you to do it anyway? Think about it! What would have to occur for you to do it regardless? What would get you to start acting in your own best interests? What is it?

The Mind Is As Strong As Its Weakest Think

Whatever it is you just thought it. Whatever it is that would have to occur is what you THINK you need, what is necessary, for you to go ahead and do it. It is what you THINK has to happen. Your thought.

Perhaps, you thought either you would have to want to feel like it in order to act. OR someone would have to force you to act. OR circumstances  would have to get so bad that you finally act.

Don’t you see? Are you able to recognize the thought process here? Can you become aware of what needs to change in order for you to change? Because you won’t until you do! Isn’t that right?

Thoughts Are Things – Choose Wisely

What do your thoughts prevent you from doing? What do your thoughts assist you in doing? It makes a difference, doesn’t it, what you think? The actions you will or won’t take are based on your thoughts, right?

You won’t change unless you wan’t to. You will stay exactly as you are! Won’t you? Because nothing works. It is too hard. You don’t know how. You didn’t get the right info. You weren’t raised this way.

Your parents are to blame, right? No they were conditioned the same as you. They just passed it along they way they got. You will too unless you interrupt and change the process. It is true!

You Get What You Think About Most Often

Positive thinking transforms you from an ‘I can’t’ person to an ‘I can’ person. When you change how you think you change how you feel. Whatever your thoughts are determine your reality. Choose well!

You can have more positive powerful energy. Put yourself in charge of you and manage your thoughts and feelings. Aim for the best and make it the very best. Don’t settle for anything less.

Positive thinking is active. You take control. It isn’t not passive. Your default thinking mode is previous, negative conditioning. Admit it you have negative thought habits. We all do. Change it!

Energy Flows Where Your Attention Goes

That is why we have to take control of our mind and direct it toward the positive. Aim it at what we can do to achieve our goals and dreams. If you don’t run your mind your mind will run you.

As it has been doing. You have been living from your previous, past, prior, negative habitual chronic conditioning. That is why your default thinking mode is less than glorious. It is negative. It is, right?

Once you take control you can replace your habit of negative thinking.  When that is replaced with the habit of thinking positive you begin getting better results. Life becomes far more pleasurable.

How Do You Eat An Elephant? One Bite At A Time

You transform yourself, your mental, emotional and physical health  will improve. You begin making your dreams come true. You are able to to get the results you want. You create the life you want.

You start creating and becoming what you want to be. You begin doing what you want to do. AND you start getting what you want. Money, home, cars, new job, family, friends, career you name it.

You feel you are worthy. You deserve good things. You are more capable to get them for yourself. You can be, do and have anything you want in life. You feel great because you think great!

Whatever You Want To Do With Ease You First Do With Diligence

Keep going until you get them. When you think positively you will persist because you won’t let thoughts prevent you from prevailing. You overcome obstacles and negative circumstances.

You know you can win and you accept that challenges are a part of life. You live and act as a champion, a winner, a victor. You succeed because you know you can and you don’t let anything stop you.

That is what positive thinking is. It is a way of life. You take control, 100% responsibility for yourself and you transform yourself into a person who looks for opportunity and solutions.

If you want to do anything you know you can learn how.

Begin by watching your thoughts. When you become aware of your of a negative thought change it. Deliberately steer or redirect your thinking to positive thoughts. It may take practice at first.

Awareness Is The First Step In Transformation

You will get better in time. Be patient. Find positive thoughts that make you feel good and affirm them. Declare them, repeat them often, out loud with enthusiasm. Stay focused on the positive.

Negative thinkers affirm negative thoughts too. Keep that in mind. An affirmation is any declaration following ‘I am’ or ‘I have’. You can affirm ‘I am rich’ or ‘I am broke’. You can affirm ‘I feel healthy’ or ‘I feel sick’.

Usually negative affirmations are expressed emotionally too. Affirmations work by powerful emotion. If you are angry and frustrated while negatively affirming they are powerful.

A Hammer Can Be Used To Build Or To Tear Down

When you positively affirm you want to do so happily, energetically, enthusiastically, confidently. The more emotion the quicker they work. The more they take hold. Emotions make affirmations work.

What we pay attention to and concentrate on is what we get. So affirm positive thoughts. Repeat them over and over. Manage your thoughts daily until it is a habit to naturally think positive.

Yes, it takes effort. Nothing in this world is free. It comes with a cost. You must pay the price with your energy, time and commitment but the reward is great. When you are willing to pay the price you will begin to reap the great rewards.

Who Is Driving The Bus? Are You In The Driver’s Seat?

Eventually you become competent  in managing and directing your thoughts. Eventually you think positive more frequently than negative. Eventually you learn and acquire a whole new way of being. You reach a tipping point where good things start happening.

Eventually positive thinking becomes an automatic reliable unconscious habit which replaces the old ways with positive, powerful new ways. You become unstoppable!

When you think positive you can be healthier in every area of your life. All of you is affected. You can begin to accomplish more of the great things you want to accomplish. You make your goals and dreams come true. You are happier and healthier. All of this begins by managing your thoughts. It is worth it to think positive, feel grateful and celebrate everything.
