Are Your Problems Stepping Stones Or Stumbling Blocks?

“Problems and struggles, negative circumstances can be the best things that happen to us. Few believe that, but if you embrace that thinking and embrace your difficulties you find a new power. You discover how blessed you truly are. Problems are opportunities.

You can believe and act as if the universe has intelligence and is providing you with lessons to learn from hardship and circumstances. It’s to your advantage to look at each situation you are going through to try to find the seeds of benefit and opportunity.

You can think it’s random dumb luck, mere chance, and unfortunate. You can believe there is no intelligent guiding hand in any of it but still you learn from a hardship in circumstances by extracting  what ever lesson you get from the situation. Seek and you will find.

Believe In Yourself And All That You Are

Believer or atheist doesn’t matter. YOU can always learn and evolve from anything life offers you if you’re intelligent enough to do so.  Problems can be stumbling blocks or stepping stones depending how you view them. Perception is everything. You decide.

You decide what meaning you assign to events. You have always been doing this. You call it misfortune or bad luck. You call it a terrible occurrence or you call it a lesson and opportunity to learn from. You blame and accuse, excuse and whine or you learn.

Perhaps, you have done some of both. Perhaps you blame first. Then after suffering for a duration you learned a lesson while looking back on what the problem was. People do look back after a enough time has passed and realize the benefits derived from the situations.

Know There Is Something Inside You Greater Than Any Obstacle

Only in looking back can you connect the dots. This is why the statement is ‘hindsight is 20/20’. However, consider how much faster you would benefit if you would only do this sooner. You can. You can learn to do it in the midst of your troubles. Here is how.

Embrace each trouble, everything that happens, as a blessing. Given by god, the universe, yourself, the divine or simply happenstance it doesn’t matter. Choose whatever works for you. Adopt the mindset that all of life is a blessing and whatever happens is for your benefit.

Then stay open and look. Be grateful for all. Appreciate and learn from EVERYTHING! Redefine your troubles. Re-frame tough times and catastrophes as situations. You may say you are working on some things other’s might define as difficult or as obstacles.

The Struggle Of Life Is One Of Our Greatest Blessings 

BUT you are finding your way through them. If you don’t go to overwhelm with your difficulties, if you don’t exaggerate them in your mind, if you don’t emphasize them and make them important, you can much better handle and resolve them. Make them tiny.

If you consider yourself blessed, if you believe ultimately you can see your way through these, learn and benefit from them, AND find opportunity hidden within, you will go through them faster and more productively. You will feel better by being more resourceful.

David of the Bible, rushed the giant Goliath and killed him after declaring that god would be victorious that day. Goliath, big as he was was no issue for god or for David. Both were bigger than the presenting problem. You become victorious when you are bigger.

Character Cannot Be Developed In Ease And Quiet …

Be bigger than your problems. Make the mountains molehills. It is always your perspective on things. It is always a matter of what you believe and how you view everything in life. It is all your definition. Change how you believe, define and view things and your life will.

Will it be easy to adopt this mindset. It will be easier for some than others. It depends on where you are in your own evolution. It will provide everyone with positive and powerful, personal growth. You will learn to control your mind and your feelings and that is needed.

When you take charge of your thinking and feeling you are on the road to making great things happen. Assume responsibility and direct your thought processes into what you want, the good and the positive. This is the beginning of great awareness and power.

… Only Through Experience Trial And Suffering Can The Soul …

Instead of it running on its own into distractions and negativity out of control, you control your own mind and thinking process. Then YOU can ASSIGN the meaning you want to ANY situation. Everything in life changes. It is process and we are living processes.

When we manage ourselves we have greater ability to navigate the changes in life. When those changes are ‘less than glorious’ we can utilize them, understand them, resolve them without loosing hope, or going under. To do this we must be able to re-frame them.

We must be able to look on them differently. We must be able to appreciate them. Call them blessings instead of problems. A tree that grows alone faces hardships from the elements but is stronger than trees surrounded by forest. Hardship brings strength.

… Be Strengthened Ambition Inspired And Success Achieved

Your difficulties can be stepping stones along the way to success once you consider them such. As long as you consider them stumbling blocks to be avoided, your journey will take much longer and be more painful. Attitude is everything. It is always, all up to you.

How you go through any situation determines the length of time you suffer. Whether you look to blame or to find opportunity determines how you feel going through it. If you resist it will persist. If you let go, embrace, and accept it, even if it lasts a while it won’t seem like it.

You are in charge ALWAYS, even when you think you aren’t. Whether YOU are in CONTROL while in charge is another matter entirely. You always call the shots. You always decide whether it will be pleasure or painful. You make you own way each step of the way.

Be Grateful For You Problems You Grow Because Of Difficulties

This is and has always been the case for each of us. When we recognize, accept this and take full responsibility we can begin to determine how it will go. We can’t control the world changes but we can control our response to it and how we travel through it.

You are only in control when you assume control. You don’t drive the car from the back seat even if you think you do. You must take the wheel and steer. You must steer your own mind and not be a passenger taken for a ride. You choose to think positive. You decide.

You take control of your thinking. If it is less than glorious you shift it, you change it from negative to positive, if by no other means than by will power. You make thinking positive, productive and powerfully a habit. Your thoughts and feelings become new successful habits.

Master Your Thoughts And You Master Your Life

Seek to control your thinking. Seek to develop the best positive attitude. Seek blessing over problems. Seek gratitude over complaining and you will transform your life in immeasurable ways. You will find everything more delightful and joyous. Do it!

Throughout these blog pages I give you tips, suggestions and strategies for developing control and a powerful positive mindset. You can change your beliefs and change your life. Study and apply what you learn. If you don’t apply it you don’t change. Nothing will.

Distraction Can Be Worse Than Negativity

“The idea is to live in advance of the world. You think and feel, you embody the thoughts and feelings of that future you, right now in your present. For example, you want to be a multi-millionaire. You’re not one yet. How does a multimillionaire think, feel and behave?

You might ask yourself; how does a multi-millionaire get dressed in the morning; what does a multi-millionaire think about while driving to the office or the golf course; how does a multi-millionaire feel driving a car; what would a multi-millionaire do in this situation?

Of course, the idea is, you are that multi-millionaire. How are you thinking, feeling, behaving and having what you want in life? What is your daily life like, your work and your leisure? What does it feel like to pay bills, purchase things, go places you want to go? What’s it like?

Focus On Your Goal Don’t Look In Any Other Direction But Ahead

What’s it like being rich? Get a feel for that. Be rich in mind and body and spirit first and you create and attract wealth to you. From within to without. You ARE it first and THEN you get it. You live it and it becomes reality. That is how it works. Focus on being it first.

What do we do that prevents us? Some people doubt, fear and worry it will never happen. That stops the energy flow. Some live thinking mostly negative thoughts. That keeps one from getting ahead. What you say and see is what you get. Negativity sucks!

What you express on a daily basis, moment to moment, to yourself and others, and imagine in your mind, is what you create. If you are rehashing troubles, difficult times, and the a-hole from the freeway you end up getting back more of the same. We get more of the same.

Don’t Get Sidetracked – Stay On Course – Keep It In Mind

All of this should be obvious. If you read positive, inspirational material, like Hill, Hicks, Wattles, Emmerson, and others then you know energy flows where attention goes. You must vibrate in alignment with your desires. Vibration is important,

You get who you are over and above what you want. Do you understand this. Here is an example. A poor person may want riches but focuses on lack and struggles so that person creates and get more of the same. It is why the rich get richer and poor get poorer.

One reason, at least. Become it and you can have it is the rule. Negativity, doubt, fear, and worry won’t make it happen for you. You get more of the back. There is something else even more of us do that prevents it. Distraction. We are distracted. Pettiness rules.

Stay Focused On What You Want – Don’t Doubt Yourself – Believe

We focus on petty things, issues, gossip, the news, the freeway, the weather, what the neighbors are or aren’t doing. We live our lives with petty concerns. We aren’t living our lives as a multi-millionaire would we are doing what we have always done. So we get that back.

We keep getting what we have been doing all along. In order to get something new and better we have to change things and become new and better. We can’t continue the way we are and expect things to miraculously change. We re-create what is already going on!

We’re not be severely negative. We just aren’t positive most of the time. We aren’t living the future ‘as if’, as if it were right now. We are living now with petty frustrations and ho-hum moments. So we get more ho-hum. We need to fill life with love, laughter and celebration.

Life Is Like A Camera – It Captures Perfectly What You Focus It On

We need to be rich in mind, spirit, heart and wallet. It begins in the mind with who and what we are. If we major in minor things we are only going to get minor things back. We need to ‘BE IT’ to do it and have it. Then THAT becomes our habit and our results improve.

Do you understand this? It may be there is nothing terribly wrong. No major massive negativity. It is just the subtle undercurrent of ‘oh well, same stuff different day’ that keeps us creating the same stuff each day. We need to create differently to create differences.

Gratitude, celebration, delight, enjoyment, fun, a wealthy, healthy mindset, incredible feelings lead to positive inspired actions. Done consistently over time these become habits or lifestyle. Living this way increases the possibilities and opportunities for you.

The Secret To Change – Stop Fighting The Old – Build The New

Your life changes AFTER you change. Make the change and then everything can change. So what would a happy, healthy, multi-millionaire think, feel and do to make life more wonderful? Bring that attitude to everything you do. Bring it to your work, your travel.

Bring it to you problem solving and issues. How would a successful multi-millionaire deal with this? Would it be a big deal or not? Get it? Create the mindset. If everything in your life was glorious and you were absolutely the person you want to be how would you handle it?

What you you think and feel and do as you go through each moment of your day? You’d have a different energy and vitality, that is for certain. You’d have different awarenesses and understandings? This is what you want to embody and embrace. This, IS becoming!

Gold Is Hidden In The Dirt But You Won’t Find It If You Never Look

“When you are troubled and things aren’t going your way do you think and feel you are at your optimum? Most people say no. Sadly, that is accurate. Most people get preoccupied with the issues troubling them. Their attention, focus and energy get drained.

This is why a negative mind state isn’t useful. It is detrimental. You can’t operate at your peak if you aren’t thinking and feeling your best. Most people try to solve the issue by figuring out what to do and by working harder at it and that rarely works well.

It is better to get your mind thinking clearly and your feelings supporting your resourcefulness so you can move forward instead of remaining stuck in one spot trying to work things out. Attitude and energy is far more important in these instances than much else.

Nothing  Can Stop The Person With The Right Mental Attitude

Some people resort to whining, excusing and blaming. They blame themselves, others or outer circumstances, god, the weather, the banks and more. Finding the culprit doesn’t do much.  It may be satisfying for an instant but in the long run solves little or nothing.

Taking responsibility, even when one might not feel it is theirs, gives one incredible power to  begin to make positive changes. One assumes control over self and circumstances. This helps each of us to marshall our resources and apply them thoughtfully as needed.

Otherwise, we waste much time looking in the wrong places for the wrong things. When we look within ourselves we can find a vast treasure house of experiences of all kinds that can help us in any difficult situation. The beginning of positive change is awareness.

Nothing Can Help The Person With The Wrong Mental Attitude

When we take control of our mind and feelings by guarding our thoughts to keep them uplifting and useful we are learning to exercise a powerful gift. The ability to choose how we think and feel in any situation. It isn’t easy to do at first, but then, few things are.

Napoleon Hill wrote, ‘A positive mental attitude is the habit of looking upon all unpleasant circumstances with which one meets as merely opportunities for one to test one’s capacity to rise above them by searching for that ‘seed of  an equivalent benefit’ and putting it to work.’

If we can examine each situation we are in and find the good, find the gold, find the benefit we are accomplishing some important things. One is we are making a habit of finding the good. We are training are mind to work in a particular direction to benefit us. This is great!

A Positive Attitude Is The Seeking What Can Be Accomplished

Second, we are finding the benefit and potentially the learning we can extract from the difficulty. Not only have we trained our mind in a positive beneficial way but we are learning and discovering benefits to apply. We are growing and evolving. We use the benefits.

Plus, we are finding opportunity where few would think to look. Often, the gold is so hidden in the dirt it sin’t obvious unless you look  hard, and sometimes long. In addition, we are getting out of our own way, out of the muck and mire and releasing our energy and feelings.

We can think clearer, and act better when our thinking and feeling is right. We move in inspired ways to take action instead of from worry, fear or doubt. There are many additional benefits to gain from making the effort to adopt a positive mindset.

A Positive Mental Attitude Helps You Do Everything Better

Hill further states, ‘A PMA is the habit of keeping the mind busily engaged in connection with the circumstances  and things one  desires in life, and OFF the things one does not desire’. Focus and concentration is maintained on what we want to be, do and have.

We focus on who we are and want to be not what is lacking or wrong. This gives us the ability to achieve rather than consuming us with the problem. Our energy is focused in what we can and will do as opposed to what we can’t and won’t do. Mindset is everything!

What we ‘don’t want’ IS useful to help us clarify what we do want. Once we totally know what we don’t want we SHIFT and aim our attention on what we want to be, do and have. We focus on what we want to create and not on what holds us back or keeps us down.

All Skill To Think And Do Is Acquired By Repetition And Repetition 

My hope for all my readers, especially those who haven’t yet made use of the opportunity life gives them,  is to learn to take control of their minds. Your mind is a powerful tool that can be focused like a laser to help you get what you want most in life.

It can also be used to screw you up and hold you back until you take control. It is a wonderful servant and a terrible master. Take control. One of the easiest ways is to begin with  the simple awareness of what is already good in your life and focus on that. Appreciate it all.

Sometimes it can be difficult to find, but it is the habit of finding the benefit within the hardship that is important to develop. Find people, and things about them, your world and yourself to be grateful about and emphasize them. Think and feel the gratitude.

We Are What We Repeatedly Do – Success Is A Habit

Make a list. Do it daily. Often! In finding what is already good you open your mind to finding more good now and to creating it later. You build an important habit. You get your mind and feelings supporting you. It can take some time or be nearly instant.

Most things take awhile so keep at it until you break through. Usefully, pretty soon you will notice a shift occurring. It gets better and easier. Then guess what. You will be tested. Something will happen that will provide you the opportunity to test your mettle.

Life just happens that way. Then you either rise or fall. Whichever occurs use it to learn and benefit from. If you fall get up again, as many times as you need to, in order to move ahead. This is how habits and control are formed. You need to use them in tough times.

The Habit Of Persisting Is The Habit Of Victory

If it were never tough you wouldn’t need the abilities. Yet, this is where most people drop out. They exclaim, ‘I was doing everything I should and then things went bad and suck. This stuff doesn’t work.’ IT WORKS you have to learn to apply it where it counts!! Get it?

You need to learn control and use it when times are tough. Don’t buckle. But if you do, get back on top again. Pat yourself on the back for doing whatever you did, be grateful to become aware and have the opportunity to use what you are learning. Then do it! Apply it.

Stay grateful. Keep looking for benefit. Affirm the positive. Focus on who you are that is wonderful already and who you want to become. Stick with it. Enjoy, delight, be strong when necessary. Guard your thoughts and self-talk. Be the author of your own life story. Be the master of your thoughts and feelings. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Every Seed Planted Requires Incubation Time – Be Patient

Still, I’ll try to provide some useful ideas or suggestions to consider. It could be any number of things or none, still you might discover an answer by navigating through some of these SUGGESTIONS.

First congratulations on your awarenesses and practices. This is awesome. You are in the process of making things happen and taking charge of your life. Wonderful! Congratulations, again!

Okay, first. Is what you want congruent with your overall purpose in life? Were you born to do this? What is in your heart? What must you do in life? Some people want to do things others must do them.

From A Small Tree A Mighty Tree Can Grow

Some feel destined to do it. They are certain they will without any doubt.  Others are not so sure. If not, you might want to find ways to adjust it so it is a part or an aspect of your larger purpose.

Perhaps, it is something else you and ‘this’ is something that seems great but isn’t what you have to do in life. You will have to sort this out for yourself because I can’t answer for you. Right?

It could be it is exactly what you are supposed to do. Or it could be that it is stepping stones to a larger goal. Could this be the case? It an important area to get clear about. We all need to know our purpose.

The Potential Of A Mighty Oak Is Contained Within A Tiny Seed

Some people mistakenly think things magically come to them versus they can make it happen. You are responsible and in charge not the universe or any one else. Each of us needs to take full responsibility.

Okay the universe is in charge but we have to accept and understand what our part is. We make it happen in cooperation with the universe. When we take responsibility we can change things.

Responsibility is freedom. Once we accept we are responsible for ALL of it, having good things and not so good things we can aim ourselves at what we want more completely. It is power we have.

Whatever You Feed Will Grow – Fear Or Faith – Doubt Or Belief

Do you believe you can have or deserve what you want? If there is any doubt? You can easily address this. Absolutely. You can eliminate the blockage and free yourself up to focus on what you want.

Examine your beliefs and re-condition your mind. Awareness is the key. Are you focused on increase or decrease? Are you convinced this is for you? Do you believe or have doubts?

Will you make it happen? Are you are in charge of your own success? Mindset first, actions follow. Are you feeling good most of the time? Are you positive most of the time? I hope you can answer yes to all.

It Is Always Your Choice What Will Grow 

It is one or the other, positive or negative. Count neutral as negative because if it isn’t contributing it is distracting or acting as negative. You get what you are thinking about most often. Thought is energy.

There are countless ways we are distracted. News, gossip, social media, traffic, thoughts about nothing in particular, television and more. If it isn’t positive it isn’t positive. It is either UP or Down.

It is harder to notice all of our thoughts. It is easier to determine whether we are feeling good or not. Joyous or not. If you feel less than glorious when you think about your goal that is information.

Plant Seeds Of Change Today For Continued Success Tomorrow

It is important to feel good while thinking about what you want. If you don’t something’s out of alignment. You need to be congruent. Change your thoughts to focus on the positive on what you want.

When we feel less than glorious it is usually because we are thinking about what we don’t want, or want to exclude; we doubt, fear and worry and aren’t thinking on what we really want. We need to stop.

We can use what we don’t want to help get absolutely clear and clarify what we do want. Once we know what we don’t want we shift and focus exclusively on what we do want. Put energy into wants.

Life Is An Adventure To Enjoy –  Live – Love – Laugh – Celebrate

Negative feelings HELP us to clarify what we want and focus on that. To create and attract we put our energy ON the positive, the increase and what we want.  Actually, we attract who and we are.

We don’t really attract what we want. We attract more of what is already the case for us. If we are loving we attract back more love if we are worried or doubtful we attract back more worry and doubt.

So enjoy life, have fun, be happy, enthused in general and you will create and attract more good things. Feelings run the show. Feelings are our frequency and vibration. Do that which enhances the good.

Be Positive – Be Patient – Be Persistent

Take care of yourself physically. Eat well and get enough exercise. Get enough rest and sleep. Do things you enjoy. Walk, play, get a massage, take a bath, shower or sauna. Live well and have fun.

Energy comes from our mind and body. Both need to work together. Both feed and nurture each other. They are one thing but we typically treat them as two. We tend to ignore one over the other.

Seek balance, pleasure, fun and feeling the best you can. Do things you enjoy. Gift yourself. Fill your mind with positive and motivational, inspirational material. Be healthy in mind and body.

When You Take Responsibility For Everything Everything Changes

Don’t spend all your time consumed with your passions. Relax, have fun, trust it will happen. Keep the faith. Spend some time each day devoted to it. Consider this: You place an order in a restaurant.

The waiter takes the order to the kitchen. You occupy your mind with other things. You don’t hope you get your order. You don’t doubt it will come. You don’t fret, worry, or fear that it won’t.

You know it will come in time. Maybe sooner or later you will get it. You may or may not enjoy what shows up but you will get it. You can’t micromanage everything in advance. You let go. It comes.

Everything You Do Is Based On Choices You Make

If it isn’t what you expected you can deal with it at that moment and make the adjustments. Thinking obsessively about it prior to or after the fact doesn’t assist in anything. Let go, enjoy the wait.

Place your order and expect to get it. Remain in good feelings and positive state while waiting. Enjoy life. Have fun and know it is coming. You can think about how you will enjoy it when it arrives.

You can think about or look forward to getting it. That is different than comparing, being impatient and worrying about whether it happens to come or not. Keep the feelings and vibrations high.

Live Life To The Fullest Because You Only Get To Live It Once

The higher and more positive the better. Feel good most of the time and transformation happens. Be happy no matter what helps makes everything else wonderful. It is wonderful to live this way.

Some people are happy with nothing, some aren’t happy with everything. What is your happiness quotient? This is important to know. It is also great to have desires that keep us evolving.

Perhaps, you are trying to much or too many things at once. Relax, let go, trust, enjoy and simplify. You can’t push a rope. Allow, settle, release. Trust yourself to create what you want to happen.

To Live To The Fullest Is Rare – Most People Only Exist – Live Fully

Know that if you put it out there and carry it positively in your heart and mind you will make it happen.  Don’t try too hard, take it easy, make it happen by allowing it to come to you too.

A boomerang returns unless it hits something. Maybe you need to ease up a bit for awhile. A branch falls into the stream, the stream leads to a river the river to the ocean. Go with the flow.

That is the natural course, the way of life.  Unless, it gets snagged along the way it will get to the ocean. If it does get snagged, release it. Obstacles or challenges provide lessons. How cool is that?

The Price Of Greatness Is Responsibility

If you have not yet accomplished your goal, perhaps, you are in the stage of overcoming obstacles. We get tested by fire, as if there is a higher intelligence. We grow through resistance.

Opportunities come along as do problems. When we encounter tough times, no matter how long it takes, we must think, ‘On To Success.’ Steel is fashioned, and tempered by intense fire.

Diamonds made from intense pressure. Sometimes we go through what seems like a lengthy drought or long periods of push back. Perhaps, that is precisely what we need to do some inner cleansing.

If You Believe In Yourself Anything Is Possible

We need to learn to persevere no matter what comes our way; to stay faithful to our purpose; to remain positive and know deep inside we will prevail. We can remove blocks & negative beliefs.

Eliminate blockages and negative beliefs by learning and affirming new ones. Affirm the new ones repeatedly. It takes some time, but all of life is a process. Patience, everything happens in its own time.

Everything is perfect as it is right now. You are right where you are meant to be. Do you realize this? Some people aren’t happy being where they are in the process. What is IS. Stop whining and begging.

Follow Your Dreams Believe In Yourself Don’t Give Up Keep Going

They think they should be further along than they are. Celebrate and be grateful for where you are in the process. Savor it, bless it, enjoy it and you make room for more to come. Open the doors and welcome.

Happy now, happy later. Unhappy now, unhappy later. That is how it works. Be it first! Sincerity is important. Some think they are okay with things when they really aren’t. Be honest with yourself.

Be truly appreciative and okay with something not happening, even while it is important and you want it to happen. Make it okay that you are where you are. Let go of clinging behaviors and thoughts.

You Are So Much Stronger Than You Think You Are – Embrace It

If you plant the seed you have to let it grow on its own under the cover of earth and darkness. You can’t keep checking. You can’t dig it up to make sure it is growing. You have to let go.

Let nature take its course. Have faith that all will be well. Faith is marvelous to have. Believe in yourself. Know inside you can do it. Stop comparing. Focus on the end result and trust the process.

Like the seed, just mentioned, you can’t compare where you are to where you want to be. If you compare you always see how far you have to go. You are focused more on lack than on what you want.

Believe In Yourself And You Will Be Unstoppable

You notice the absence and that keeps it away. This doesn’t help you get it but pushes it further off.  Your attention is divided between what you want and the circumstances of not having it.

Whichever has the highest signal value is the one that comes forth. You really don’t attract anything. You create and make it happen. We are creators and also attractors. We create and attract from within.

It is mindset or attitude, your beliefs, thoughts, feelings and right effort or action that brings about the results you desire; persistence, and learning from challenges until you accomplish it, is important.

Great Things Come Out Of Patience – Some Things Take Time 

With the right thoughts and feelings you can attract the right people, events and circumstances, or you more readily recognize them because your brain looks for these when positively attuned.

Attraction: to attract or not is a concept. The bottom line is we bring about what we want by our thoughts and feelings which lead to actions and habits which determine our results.

It is 90% mental and 10% action. When the mindset is right, you feel right which leads to inspired actions. Then it isn’t work. When action is inspired it is pleasurable, you enjoy working because it isn’ t work.

You Can’t Live A Positive Life With A Negative Mindset

90% of our energy should be spent developing the right attitude, beliefs, and mindset. Only 10% is required to do the work. Focus on why we want it over how to get it. The ‘how’ will come in time.

How is important but only after the right mental work is done. No one knows how to do anything until after they do it. Most people have it backwards. They want the how before the take action.

It doesn’t work this way. Edison didn’t know how to create a light bulb until he made one that worked. The Wright Bros. didn’t know how to fly until they flew successfully. Then they could repeat it.

Whether You Think You  Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

They only knew they must fly. They had the right attitude and then experimented until they got it correct. This is how it works. Sometimes it comes as an ‘aha’. Take charge of your mind first!

Actions are important but thought precedes action. Get the right thinking and feelings follow. From these right feelings right actions arise. These become right habits and determine the results you get.

Begin right from where you are. Go as far as you can and when you get to that place, from there, you will be able to see further. Step by step. How becomes clearer as you travel not prior to traveling.

All Things Are Difficult Before They Become Easy – Have Patience

Perhaps, you are trying to do it all alone. How can you enlist others to assist you? Network? Add value to others first, go the extra mile and be a genuine team player. Together we rise, divided we fall.

Be friendly and someone others want to be around. Let them know what you are working on accomplishing. Assist them with no regard for them assisting you, just for the sake of being helpful.

Contribute without  being a nuisance, and they may find reasons to help you back and contribute to what you want. People tend to like and say yes to people they like and want to be around.

If You Want Quality Act As If You Already Had It

Celebrate everything, celebrate what you have right now. Be grateful, whether or not your dream comes true. Live in gratitude and you open up the door for more of the same.

Practice being grateful in advance of it happening in the world. Act as if you already have it and are pleased with it. Be thankful for having ‘the invisible’ already right now in your life. Act as if!

Gratitude, and acting ‘as if’ your dreams have come true works well! Being simply grateful for what you have right now is incredible. It is powerful and wonderful to live feeling blessed.

Act As If It Is Impossible To Fail – Believe In Yourself

If you are grateful for the happiness you have, lots or little, you make room for more. If you are grateful for the people, the money you have, the success, the health, the car, the things etc., you feel good.

Plus, whether you have lots or little, you make room for more. Bless everything. Speak only to bless, heal and prosper. Imagine only the good happening. Talk not about distresses but focus positively.

Put a guard before your mind and lips. We create what we speak about. Is our conversation and our self talk about increase and what we are making happen or about decrease, struggle and woes?

Act As If You Already Are The Person You Want To Be

It matters. We get what we focus on. We become what we think about. Energy flows where attention goes. Where is our attention and what do we talk and think about most? We speak it into being.

Do you love and adore what you do? I used to have trouble with auditions because I hated auditions. I didn’t like going in. I felt rejected. I wanted to work but not audition.

I had very few auditions, perhaps as a result. What did I do? I took audition classes to get over my fear and resentment and develop my audition skills. It took a while. Then one day I had a breakthrough.

If You Want To Be Enthusiastic – Act Enthusiastic

I loved auditions. I had fun. I enjoyed the process. I embraced it as acting for a few moments. Things changed. More auditions came my way and I booked more. Attitude IS everything. Others respond to it.

Attitude is so important. Maurice, I have no idea whether any of these apply to you. Hopefully, however something I write in response will provide meaning or direction to you or others.

I encourage you to gently and positively, examine, without any self criticism.  Beating oneself up never helps. Check your self talk and what you say to others. Be gentle and kind to yourself.

What You See Is What You Get – What You Say Is What You Get

Speak only to bless, heal and prosper yourself and others. If you see someone with what you want celebrate and bless that person. If you see something you want bless it. Positive energy boomerangs!

Celebrate and acknowledge it is good. Affirmations work whether positively or negatively stated. We want to check to be certain what we are affirming IS what we want to be affirming. Positive only!

If you think, how long will this take or I hate paying bills you are affirming those things. Speak only to bless, heal and prosper. What we talk about to self and others is our story. Write a good one!

Happiness Is Discovered When You Stop Comparing

Rephrase things so they express, create and attract what you really do want. Focus and enjoy. Celebrate and enjoy! Have fun, pursue and relax. While you pursue it allow it too! Receive it into your life.

Maurice, it seems as everything you are doing is on target. Perhaps, it is simply the season of learning and self reflection for now. Day gives way to night, winter gives way to spring. Time is not up to us.

A farmer prepares the soil, plants, trusts, eliminates weeds and steps in if nature doesn’t provide nourishment.  When the time is right the farmer harvests, enjoys the bounty and distributes. Nature’s way.

Accept Yourself – Love Yourself – Be Yourself – Appreciate Yourself

Have faith you are right where you are supposed to be today. Enjoy and live in delight no matter what. Feel good and listen for that ‘still small voice within’. Your own intuitions about what is IS important.

Be sensitive to your own notions of encouragement and direction. You are the ultimate authority in making your dreams come true. Intuition speaks softly so we must learn to pay attention.

I hope this points you in some useful directions. I have used your question to include options for other readers to explore in their own process. These are suggestions anyone might incorporate.

I Can – I Will – End Of Story – That’s It – Period

Each of us can stay positive and seek to find the knowing within us. The certainty we have when we know our birthday is coming tomorrow and we will get gifts. We don’t doubt it is our birthday.

We know it is. We expect it. We eagerly await its arrival. We don’t doubt it will come or worry that it may not. We go about doing what we do knowing it is coming. It will arrive without question.

With our wants, the stepping stones, and our major purpose they don’t always come according to our timelines. We want it NOW but it will come when we are ready to receive it. You know the saying.

Failure Is Only Failure If You Quit Keep Going You Can Succeed

When the student is ready the teacher appears. It can be the same with our desires. When we are ready is when we line things up. We can’t force it to happen we allow it to happen. When ready it does!

The same way the farmer has to let the seeds grow in their own time. The farmer plants and then waits. It is what we do, how we are and who we are while waiting that determines much of everything!

Rich People Aren’t Always Wealthy But You Can Be

“Yes, some people with money are not nice people. Money only amplifies who you already are. If you aren’t a good person without money you most likely won’t be a good person with money. Wealth is a mindset.

You can be monetarily rich but true wealth goes beyond money. Real wealth is an attitude. You can be wealthy physically with good health, with friends and loving relationships, emotionally and spiritually. You can be happy and have peace of mind.

Cash may not make you happy. You could have lots of cash and be lonely and miserable. You can have money and not health. Alone and sick what is money good for? You can hoard money and not do any good with it. Then having money may be very sad.

The Kingdom Of Heaven Is Not A Place But A State Of Mind

If you aren’t going to help people then you have a lot of cash but so what? True wealth is an attitude of abundance. The mindset is that there is plenty. There is plenty and it is good to both receive and to give.  Learn to do both well.

If you aren’t doing both you are out of balance. You may be rich  but you are not truly wealthy. You may not care one way or the other. Then it truly is sad. It seems the more we have the more opportunity there is to enjoy but that isn’t always the case.

Napoleon Hill stated, of the 520 wealthiest people in the world that he modeled, studied and built his philosophy on, only one was balanced. He said all the rest had problems. He said he got to know all of them. He had stayed with many and they all had issues.

The Smallest Deed Is Better Than The Greatest Intention

Their spouses and many of their kids had issues. To be so obsessed with gaining a fortune, and by not focusing on the more important aspects of life, had brought many of the 520 mental, emotional and physical illnesses. Life out of balance is not a good thing.

Hill wrote, ‘I’ve had the privilege of intimately knowing the most outstanding, the most successful, and the richest men that this country has ever produced. I’ve slept in their houses, ate with them, known their families, their wives and their children.’

‘And I have seen what happened to their children after they died and passed on. I know the importance of learning to live a balanced life … The men that collaborated with me in the building of this philosophy represented outstanding success in every field of their era.’

A Man Is Not A Failure Until He Blames Others And Stops Trying

‘Out of all those men, there was only one I could say even vaguely approached having peace of mind along with all his other successes: John Burroughs. Without a doubt, he was the one who came nearest it and the one who came next nearest to it was Mr. Edison.’

The problem many have is they put money above everything else. They are willing to crush or to ruin others in the quest to be top dog. They want more than anyone else and stop at nothing. Ultimately, however they are miserable, unhappy, lonely, sick people.

Much in life is binary with shades between. There is positive or negative. There is increase and decrease. You can be wealthy or not wealthy. When it comes down to it your life is a result of the thoughts you think, how you feel and the choices you make.

You CAN be wealthy with no money. You can be rich with love, family, friends, health, and good times. You can live and leave a legacy of delight without having much money. You can, but many don’t because their focus is on bills, making ends meet, or lack.

The Great Opportunity Is Where You Are At

Some work very hard but hardly move ahead. The key in life is to be grateful for what you have. Enjoy it. You can continue to work for more but be happy where you are at. Then whether you get more or not you are still happy. That is the art most important to learn.

Learn to have a good life. Not only a good one but a grand one. Enjoy and delight in the relationships you have. Savor and nourish and protect them. Do likewise with your health. Take care of you and others. Life becomes more delightful when you can enjoy it.

Money is only a tool. Don’t love the tool. Love people and use the tool. You can learn to make more money. You can learn to be happy with or without money. It has been said one is only happy when learning and growing. Keep growing in awareness and in love.

Never Get So Busy Making A Living You Forget To Make A Life

Grow in understanding and your ability to appreciate life. Evolve into a person who doesn’t let tough times or obstacles defeat or get the better of you. Be bigger than any problem and be filled with joy and wonder and positivity. Make good things happen.

You are a creator. It begins with your thought. From nothing you create your life around you. What are you making for yourself and loved ones? You will always be a work in progress. If it isn’t what you want it to be you can learn to make it that. Keep going.

Focus on what is important. Live a good life. Be positive and be happy. Help others. Simplify everything. Enjoy it all. Only when you are able to enjoy everything are you truly wealthy. Learn to relax, let go and delight. Learn to celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Spread Some Of That Loving Around

“If you always do what you always did you always get what you always got. Doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results is insane. You must do things differently to grow.

If want your life to change you have change some things in your life. Do some new things or you are only always doing the same old things. Try something new. Add some variety to your experience.

How about today, you spend it, sending unconditional love and acceptance to those important to you. Give them love and then give them some more. Imagine it flowing from your heart to theirs.

Fill them, surround them, bathe them with your loving kindness, loving thoughts, loving energy and acceptance. Forgive them if you need to, or yourself. Accept, forgive, let go and love. Give and give.

Something magical happens when you allow yourself to appreciate others and when you do something nice for them. You don’t have to announce it, they don’t even have to know. Just do it. Send! Send!

Pick some of the important people in your life and send them loving, kind, positive, thoughts and energy. Visualize it  too. Imagine them bathed in light, laughter and well being. See them enjoy it.

See them healthy, happy and whole. When done, reflect on your gift to them for a moment. Just sit quietly. Be with the moment. Then prepare to do it again. This time we’ll change it up a bit.

Send love, send kindness and wellbeing to at least 3 people who you never would ever think to send love to. Send love to people who have pissed you off, frustrated or irritated you. Accept and send love.

It might be challenging but do it anyway. Give them a gift too. Go first. Be kind and loving. Be accepting and forgiving. Gift them with all the goodness you gave those you really do love in life.

When finished, reflect and be in the moment. Do this each day. Spend some time giving love to others. Love the ones you love and the ones you don’t. Do it for at least a week, 30 days is better.

Do it everyday.  Just radiate love. Do it and notice how your life improves. It will! You’ll find, perhaps, that you want to keep doing it after the 30 days.  Be grateful, enjoy, delight and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

The Secret: Don’t Wait! Live Your Dreams Right Now

“Some people are focused on being happy. Others focus on making money, having their dream home, or loving relationships. Some want fame and fortune. Others concentrate on career goals.

There are those who prefer to travel, learn new things, have more leisure time and relax. Different people dream being, doing and having different things. All is good. We live in a wonderful world.

Welcome to Part 3 of Why You Must Change Your Unconscious Habits Now!

Most everyone can have what they want if they are willing to do what is necessary to secure it. This is the issue with many. Some want to wish it into being. Others prefer to blames circumstances.

Nothing Is Impossible – The Word Says I’m Possible

Some wallow without. Others hope to have. Fewer actually do what is required and stick with it until they make it happen. I discuss the Law of Attraction and while it seems magical it isn’t. It works.

It is based on principles. It is rule governed. You get from it what you put into it. Garbage In Garbage Out (GIGO). What goes around comes around. Birds of a feather flock together. Like attracts like.

While nothing is an absolute guarantee, this guarantee you can bank on. If you put the effort into making your dream come true, even if it doesn’t completely, you will be better off for having tried.

Every Accomplishment Starts With The Decision To Try

You will have learned, discovered and traveled further than if you never attempted it. As the saying goes ‘aim for the stars, if you miss you’ll land on the moon.’ Keep this in mind.

If you don’t attempt it you don’t attempt it. You stay put. You can wallow and whine and complain and blame and wish and hope and visualize and affirm (negative affirmations and blames) and…

You aren’t likely to get it. You are most likely guaranteed to remain the same until you decide to actually change. A decision to change originates as a thought. Remember, thought precedes action.

The Positive Thinker Sees The Invisible … 

Thoughts lead to feelings, feelings fuel the next thoughts. If your thoughts suck your feelings will too. Then those suck feelings will produce more suck thoughts. What goes around comes around.

When your thoughts and feelings suck you don’t take right action, most likely you don’t take any action. BUT if you do it isn’t inspired, usually it is trying to fix things or maintain a sinking ship. It sucks.

If you do this long enough over time you develop suck habits. So over an over you do the same things that suck and you get suck results. Then you whine, complain, blame, wish, and hope negatively.

The Positive Thinker Feels The Intangible Achieves The Impossible

Then you negatively affirm and visualize more suck thoughts. Get it. It is a cycle that spirals down. It goes on and on and on until you decide to take action and change it. In an instant you can transform.

Now you need to wire in positive thoughts. You do it the same way you did everything that sucked; thoughts, feelings, actions. You change the content of your thoughts and feelings so they spiral up!

You affirm and visualize positive, ‘can do’ thoughts. These lead to ‘I will do’ thoughts. From thought to action with positive, good feelings in between. Do this enough over time and you develop good habits.

Think Positive And Positive Things Will Happen

Good, success habits lead to successful results. It is cyclic. The more successful results you get the more confident and capable you become in creating more new and better results. You evolve.

If you stop along the way, you stop and stick. You must keep moving and persisting. You don’t give up when the going gets tough you get tougher. You become bigger than your problems. You evolve. Get it?

The more capable and confident the better the results. The better the thoughts and feelings and actions and habits the more better results you continue to get. When thrown a curve ball you adapt.

You Are So Much Stronger Than You Think You Are

THIS is the Law of Attraction. What goes around comes around. You attract what you are. To attract happiness you must first be happiness. To attract money you must first be wealthy inside.

Why, because you know, at least within you somewhere, that when you are really down, stuck, sour and negative you keep getting more of the same. You are negativity so you get more back. Get it?

The same but opposite applies. In order to get the good results you want you must first be the good results you want on the inside. You must already imagine what that is and what it feels like and live it.

You Are An Incredible Creator – You Create Negative Or Positive

Embrace it. It is already yours. When you feel like you already have it is when you make it happen. Those who most readily succeed know with certainty they will. That’s it. Period! No question! They will!

They have faith because they ARE it on the inside. The are happiness, they are successful, they are wealthy in advance of it showing up on the outside. They radiate it. They vibrate it. Get it?

They attract it! BUT it isn’t coming to them on a magic carpet they make it happen because of their unstoppable attitude and conviction. Their will and their mind and heart is strong. Resolved.

From Within To Without – As Above So Below

They know it is coming. They don’t beg or plead or count the days until it arrives. They don’t doubt or fear, what if it doesn’t? They don’t hope. They are certain. It will all happen in the right time.

Don’t even believe the self help gurus who tell you it can’t be done without digging through past garbage and hurts. Great spirits always must content with mediocre minds. You can do anything!

THE ONLY LIMITATIONS are those that exist in your mind. You can triumph. Gandhi faced incredible odds. No one thought he would prevail. Except for Gandhi. Martin Luther King had a vision.

You Can’t Live A Positive Life With A Negative Mind

Edison, The Wright Brothers, Ford, Joan Of Arc, Mary Kay, Oprah, William Wallace, Abraham Lincoln all faced incredible odds. The Beatles, Clark Gable, many performers have been told to give up.

They were told they had no talent, or aren’t attractive enough to make it. You don’t get breaks you make your breaks. You make it! Helen Keller couldn’t see or hear from birth but that didn’t stop her.

Scientists of the day are often the most vocal in saying something can’t be done, because they base their experience on prior past results. The new is always unknown until discovered.

Life Is Tough At Times But Then So Are You

We must go beyond the known limits to find what we don’t know is there, yet. Don’t listen to so-called experts who tell you ‘don’t try. It can’t be done.’ If you never attempt the positive you will never know.

The great explorers ventured into the great unknown. Were they afraid, probably at times. Courage is facing fear and doing it anyway. Will power and resolve is doing it when you don’t feel like it.

Muhammad Ali stated he hated training but did it anyway because he knew in doing it he would be a champion. He knew in advance! This is the power we all have, if we but find it, within ourselves!

Commit And Persist And See It Through – Be Unstoppable

The successful celebrate. They are grateful. They live from plenty even when they have nothing. They live as victors even while the battle is being waged. They travel in advance of the world.

They become it! They ARE it. They see the invisible. They expect it. AND they get it. It comes to them because they created it in their mind and believed it in their heart, body and spirit.

Then they worked to bring it about. They did it! So can you! Keep the faith in yourself and in your vision. Create what you want. Travel in advance of the world. Become it and you will have it! They did it!

You Can Pretend Anything And Master It – Create Success Habits

Adopt these practices and you will too. Adopt these principles and you can win. As above so below. As within so without. Like attracts like. What goes around comes around. Make your dreams happen.

Be grateful. Be optimistic. Be positive. Feel Grateful. Feel Optimistic. Feel Positive. Act Grateful. Act Optimistic Act Positive. Repeat right things consistently, long enough, and you develop the great habits.

From your great success habits comes great results. Rinse and repeat. This is why those who have more get more and why those who have less loose even what little they have. Understand this.

Success = Repeat The Right Things Consistently Long Enough

Live NOW how you want to be in the future. Don’t wait. Do NOT put it off. Begin today. Is it hard. Maybe, so what? Do it anyway! Is it worth it? Absolutely! Make the decision to live your dreams. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Your Unconscious Habits Are Running You For Better Or Worse!

“There is much we can do to being to feel better and think better more of the time.  Many methods are common sense. Wisdom that’s been around for a long time. Some of these include; help others, tend a garden, spend time enjoying children or pets.

I have shared many of these and I’ll share more in upcoming posts as well. Welcome to Part 2 of Why You Must Change Your Unconscious Habits Now! Let’s continue exploring. Take a walk, get some exercise. Get a massage. Gift yourself. Take a bath. Swim.

Do things that naturally help you to feel better. Read an inspiring book. Seek and hang out with other positive people. Watch an inspiring and motivating video or listen to an audio. Listen to upbeat music. Attend a motivational event. Go to church or temple.

Happiness Is Not In Our Circumstances – We Only Think It Is

The list goes on. The point is to do those things that help you feel good more often. The goal is to feel as best as you are able most of the time. Most of these methods are tried and true. They work for most people most of the time. They can work for you.

When you feel good you naturally think more positively. When you think positively you naturally feel better. It is cyclic. SO DO BOTH! Do those things that help you feel your best AND think your best. Use affirmations and mantras to guide you throughout each day.

Repeat positive affirmations with lot’s of positive emotional passion and enthusiasm. Shout, sing, dance and chant them. The more oomph the better you feel. Choose simple, powerful phrases that uplift you and repeat them over out loud. Emotions drive everything.

Happiness Is Inside Of Us – Happiness Originates Within

Once you get the thinking and feeling going you must take inspired actions. You have to act. You must do and behave in accord with how you are thinking and feeling. This is part of a natural process. We tend to do or not do based on our feelings. Remember this.

People claim they don’t feel motivated. They may not but you can’t let feelings stop you. This is why you must commit and use will power to do it anyway. You move forward in spite of not feeling like it or wanting to. It is good for you. Use the power affirmations.

It is good for you so you do it regardless. Most people won’t. Those who make lasting changes, will. This is WHY you work on your thoughts and your feelings so that they begin to congruently align more often. So you think and feel like doing it. Get some backbone!

Happiness Is What We Are – Not What We Add To Us

Even when you don’t feel like it forge ahead. History is filled with countless examples of people who kept going even though they didn’t feel like it; or they had no evidence they would succeed; or most everyone they knew were against them in any number of ways.

They prevailed because they didn’t stop. They didn’t let feelings, doubt, fear, the FACTS, the opposition, family, friends or armies keep them from doing what they wanted to do and needed to. Some of us won’t because it means we can’t watch our favorite TV show.

We have excuses and fears, doubts and blames. Enough already! Either you want to change or you don’t. You need to get to the point where you ‘think you can’ so some day you can say, ‘I knew I could!’ There is a reason for the exercises and practices I share.

A smile Is A Language Even A Baby Can Talk – Smile More Often

Others have shared these or similar practices and principles. They work, but only if you apply them. You only get a six pack if you put the effort in. The good news is mind power, positive thoughts, work. Your attitude does determine your altitude. Use it. Keep using it.

It determines how far you go. Read, fill your mind with positive, inspirational, material so you think not only, ‘I can’ but ‘I will!’ Then put into practice what you are learning so it becomes part of your neurology. It becomes you. It becomes who you are. It is you!

It isn’t information sitting lifeless in a book, it is you! It is your approach to life. It is your practice and your pleasure. As you change YOU physically change. If you want to become a positive, powerful, productive person you can. Then, that is who and what you are.

You grow the neural pathways. You have the thoughts, feelings, actions and habits of a powerful, positive, productive person. BUT only if you think, feel and act your way there. No one else can do it for you. If you want it you must engage. You must do it and keep at it.

We Are Shaped By Our Thoughts – What We Say Is What We Get

You persist until you get there. Enjoy the journey all along the way, come what may. Obstacles, challenges, problems, failures, whatever you want to call them, you can learn from each and keep on going. You use your 5% to influence the 95%. It is deliberate. It is a choice!

Then you get your 95% working for you. It isn’t easy, especially at first, but it is worth it and it IS possible. You can do it! Some have beginners luck then encounter old habits. You have to find the gumption to push on through. You can and you will if you want to!

When you want it bad enough you will make it happen. History’s champions proved that and continue to. Decide to do it. Do not let anything stop you. Think ‘I am going to do it! Period! That’s It!’ Then do it. Remember, you can do anything if you make it small enough.

Your Body Hears Everything Your Mind Says – Stay Positive

You eat an elephant bite by bite. Small efforts in the right direction are better than none. They result in more substantial change than taking too big of steps and quitting. Some bite off more than they can chew and give up. Don’t! Be smart. Tiny is better than nothing!

Consistent, correct repetition over time is how we learn anything. Knitting, weaving, being confident, swimming, juggling, playing piano, speaking, walking, reading, writing, riding a bike, driving a car. This is how we learn to do anything and everything. Repetition!

This is how we master what we do. It is the natural process of learning! We use the same process that originally programmed us, and that we have used to learned anything in life. This time we do it with conscious volition. We do it with purpose, ON purpose!

Some People Are Ready To Change While Others Are Not

Change may seem difficult, at first, until you build momentum for it. I’ll provide more on all this in future posts. Go back and read earlier posts. Re-read and fill your mind. Study them. It may not seem easy BUT it is simple. It is so simple many people discount it.

Change is a life long process. It is evolution. You may never be perfect all at once. There are success habits and unsuccessful habits. The goal is to make most of your 95% habitual, automatic programming work for you. Replace poor habits with success habits.

You won’t do it all at once but small changes in the right direction can produce substantial and incredible results. As you change more good things become available and it gets easy and quicker to change. You evolve and become more accustomed to changing positively.

Change Your Thoughts And You Change Your LIfe

One of the best ways to feel great is to feel gratitude for all that you already have, no matter how little or seemingly insignificant. Feel appreciative for who you are, what you do, what you have, who you know, everything. Count your blessings often each day.

It will help you think and feel better! It will help you think and feel great. Feel grateful, really feel it! Take inventory and actually count your blessings. Smile more, laugh more. Think delightful thoughts. Enjoy it all and you will change in wonderful ways. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Why You Must Change Your Unconscious Habits Now!

“If you always do what you have always done you will always get what you always got. That means if you struggle, if you fail, if you can’t get ahead you will continue to struggle, fail and be held back until you change what you are doing that prevents you!

In the 1980’s I taught meditation and personal development programs including Neuro Linguistic Programming and related disciplines. I enjoyed sharing state of the art, up to date, cutting edge thinking and research of that time. I still do all of it and enjoy it.

The available information based on research, then, indicated that humans operated at least at 95% on automatic. Subconscious habitual programs run the show. The thinking then was this might even be a low estimation. Since then this has been corroborated.

We’ve Been Programmed In Small Bits Repeated Day In Day Out

Today, researchers believe the same based on research over those years. I believe the estimation goes back further, to even ancient times, and that the language changes to describe the same ‘news’. Ancients meant the same thing using different words to describe.

We are creatures of habit. We learned beliefs, attitudes and behaviors from before we could speak, walk, read and write. Early on, we were conditioned in various ways to learn our family, our cultural values, ideologies, religions, and all the rest that we have.

We have been conditioned and live out that conditioning. We repeat endlessly throughout our lives thoughts, feelings and actions. We hardly notice unless for some reason we become aware. Unless we have an aha moment, good or not so good, we continue on and on.

Success Is The Sum Of Small Efforts Repeated Day In And Day Out

For some it occurs with a thought, ‘why do I always feel this way?’ or ‘how come I always screw up?’ or some similar variation. At some point we become illuminated to a reoccurring, less than glorious, theme and we decide to change it. Or at least attempt it.

When we do we encounter the habitual machinery’s awesome power. 95% of us, that force, maintains the ‘show’. Our tiny 5% conscious decision to change has to contend with 95% conditioned, well entrenched, well traveled neural pathways of habit.

Many who decide to change, give up. They give in. They exclaim, ‘I tried that and it didn’t work!’ Face it, if you have ever tried to give up smoking, drinking or eating, or certain habits such as nail biting, or pulling your hair out, worry and anxiety, it can be difficult. At first.

The Difference Between Who You Are And Who You Want To Be …

The problem with many people is they don’t make it past the first tough times. People will tell you that you can’t change. Obviously, that isn’t true or no one would ever change. People do change. Some will tell you that you need help. That may be true in certain ways.

A mentor or coach is a great idea. Support for changing with other positive people who encourage you, yes. People who have done what you want to can be most beneficial to learn from. Help as long as it is actually helpful is a good idea. Help in name only isn’t.

It is important to realize that your feelings can help you but often don’t. It all begins with thought. Whatever your first thoughts are produce your feelings. Those feelings in turn produce your subsequent thoughts. Might I add, this too is habitual.

… Is What You Think Feel Do And Make A Habit

We tend to think, feel and do what we have always thought, felt and done. Over and over and over again. Some people decide, ‘I will do it! Habitually, they add from their programming, ‘but it won’t be easy. It is hard. I may not succeed. The odds are against it.’ or some variation.

Then they feel less than able, they feel like they can’t, that it will be impossible. They are too tired or too weak. Their emotions are  not supercharged and motivated, they feel unable and unmotivated. Their next thoughts are ‘I can’t, too hard. this sucks, oh well!’

‘I tried and it doesn’t work!’ Their thoughts and feelings, because of their habitual conditioning, didn’t serve them. At this point you might wonder is there any hope then? YES! There is! Hang in there. There is much you can do. More than I can share in this one post.

Good Habits Are The Key To Your Success – Develop Good Habits

I have been sharing all along and will continue in the next posts too. You must choose to change. You must make the decision! You must commit to making it happen. If you always do what you always did you will always remain the same. Nothing will change.

You must decide you really want to and that you will no matter what. Yes, that is 5% conscious mind exclaiming, ‘I am going to do it’.  Have you ever heard the children’s tale ‘The Little Engine That Could’. ‘I think I can I think I can’. Well, thinking works and is the beginning.

Some say positive thinking won’t work and isn’t enough. They are completely wrong and somewhat correct. It begins with positive thinking. BUT we never think without accompanying emotions that support and reinforce what we are thinking.

What You Think Is What You Get – Results Begin With Thought

When we think negative thoughts we feel bad emotionally and our body changes. Even our brain structure detrimentally changes if our negative thinking lasts long enough. When we think positive we feel good and our body and health and brain can improve.

We must think positive thoughts and have the positive feelings. So work on having both. Think the thoughts and feel the feelings. Do the things that make us feel positive so we can more readily think positive. It is cyclic. Think and feel, feel and think. We do both.

If you know you want to change and must change that is the starting place. You can and will do it if you want it enough and dedicate yourself to making it happen. You must be willing to see it through to the end. Even if you are unsure at first, you can do it. It does work.

Success Is Not A One Time Thing – It Is A Way Of Life

Begin today! Fill your mind with great thoughts. Need help? Read this blog, read Napoleon Hill, Norman Vincent Peale, Jim Rohn, Zig Ziglar, and others. Devote a portion of your morning to reading positive material from the masters of thought. It works.

Pick one or two positive, powerful, simply worded, affirmations and chant them over and over as if you were cheering on your favorite team. Get enthused when you do it. Be awesome and powerful. Exaggerate it! Shout it! Do it! I’ll share more in the next post.

How Dedicated Are You?

“Some people have lives that seem to work very well in all areas. They almost seemed charmed. Why? How is this possible? Might they be doing something others aren’t? The answer is yes. There are reasons why their lives seem to be working better. Let’s explore.

Some people have areas of their life that are messed up, even troubled, while other areas seem to be okay. Their lives seem compartmentalized. This may be normal for some. It may even seem to be how it should be. It isn’t. Others have lives in shambles.

First, remember not to make any judgements about yourself or others.  Certainly, it is okay to assess and become aware in order to change. It isn’t right to blame oneself or others. It is right to assume responsibility and make appropriate positive changes.

Every Flower That Blooms Goes Through Dirt To Be Beautiful

Life is a process. Everything is in flux. Not everything grows at the same rate or at the same time. So there is variation. However, some gardens look beautiful and are well tended, while others are overrun with weeds, look nasty and aren’t growing well. Understand this?

Consider your life a garden. How are you caring for it. Are you nourishing it? Are you weeding it? Do you regularly care for it or have you let it run wild. Is your garden inside of or outside of your control? Who is in charge of your garden?

There is the principle that how you do one thing is how you do everything. Everything is a choice! How dedicated are you to you? How committed are you to having the best life possible? How much do you truly want your goals and dreams? Do you go for the gold?

Your Mind Is A Garden Your Thoughts Are The Seeds …

It is true different areas of one’s life will be in different phases. As one begin the science, the practice, the art of making one’s life more glorious different areas may improve before others do. As one changes different areas require different amounts of attention.

Eventually, as in a garden, overall everything improves and looks wonderful. Still, there may be those certain plants or areas that take more work or dedication. As one tends to life’s garden the goal is for all of it to be harmoniously working together for ultimate good.

How you do one thing in one is how you do everything means you need to bring the same dedication and commitment to each area of your life. Your health, relationships, career, finances, leisure each area needs to be tended and working together.

… You Can Grow Flowers – Or You Can Grow Weeds

If one area is out of whack it is similar to driving on only 3 tires. While you could do it, you can’t for long, nor can you get very far. You need all tires to be working well to travel most smoothly. So are there areas you are neglecting? Are you letting things go?

As you pursue certain dreams your life may be out of balance. You may be passionately pursuing a career or finances. In order to succeed you have to give it your all. However, it isn’t worth it if you end up sacrificing your health, loved ones and friends.

If at the top you aren’t able to enjoy it, or have no one to enjoy it with, success can’t be that satisfying. While career takes a lot of energy remember to nurture the other areas too. Put energy into them and help them to grow positively. You will be glad you did.

Tomorrow  Your Seeds Will Grow – What Have You Planted

Napoleon Hill said only 1 of the 525 successful people he modeled and studied to assemble ‘The Laws Of Success’ had a balanced life. The rest he said were plagued with all sorts of issues. From the breadwinner to the youngest bread eater some had big problems.

He reasoned that this was because they made making money the end all, be it all, of their lives. That is pretty sad when you consider it. It isn’t money that is the problem it is the LOVE of money that is. I’m not suggesting your shouldn’t pursue money, that isn’t the point.

You should seek to have a glorious life and healthy relationships overall. AND YOU CAN! Believe in yourself and believe in others. Think the best of you and the best of them. Believe in them before they believe in themselves. The more you give the more you get.

Actions Speak Louder Than Words – To Know Is To Do

Fill your mind with positive thoughts and the best feelings. Energy flows where your attention goes. Dedicate yourself to wholeness, to making life wonderful and delightful for you and everyone in it. Open up, take it in. Find ways to love more, give more, enjoy more.

Embrace this world and the people in it. Learn to accept more. Drop issues that aren’t real issues. The news and media will keep us divided and fighting on things that truly don’t matter. The messages are of fear and lack and hate and everything less than glorious.

Put a guard before your mind and lips. Don’t spend time with negativity. Let go of the things you can’t control or change and focus on what you can. If you can’t change something then change your attitude. Focus on the positive, the good, the loving , the kind.

Wake Up With Determination – Go To Bed With Satisfaction

Enjoy life and the people in it. Don’t be a victim of bad thinking. Be dedicated to making your mind your servant and your life garden a paradise. Dedicate yourself to creating what you want and be healthy in all areas. Don’t neglect some for others. Bring total game.

Bring your total game and commitment to each area of your life. Even just a little bit each day. Love the one’s you are with. Nourish your family lovingly. Take care of your health. Get the nourishment and rest you need. All work and no play isn’t healthy. Play, have fun.

Be passionate and enthused. Feel joy and gratitude for all. Bask in each glorious moment. Decide not to let tough times get the better of you. Learn from everything. Remember, only knowledge applied is power. You can know about exercise but not do it. To know is to do!

Hug Harder – Laugh Louder – Smile Bigger – Love Longer

Your life, as you care for it, as you tend to it, can and will improve overall. Life becomes more glorious as you take charge and commit to making it what you want. Especially, when you commit and care for it in loving ways. Enjoy, delight and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
