Experts Reveal: How You Can Get Through Turbulent Times!

“What is going on in our world? What is going on in our country? What goes on in our community? What goes on in our home? What is it with people today? Have we all gone mad? Seems like there is so much turmoil and confusion? What can we do about it?

It seems things are pretty crazy. They may well be. I do think whenever we find a wrong, that we can correct, we ought to be responsible enough to correct it. We should hold ourselves to higher standards and step up to the plate whenever we are able.

I wish more people read and lived by Napoleon Hill, or some code of honor, accountability and responsibility. His is a fairly modern and workable philosophy that people can apply. He put getting ahead and making it within a context of mutual support and positivity.

What You Can Conceive And Believe You Can Achieve

I prefer that people support the rise of each other, celebrate success and enjoy it when people legitimately prosper.  It is important  to go beyond the call of duty to assist and uplift others. By working together we can all get ahead faster. We need to work in harmony.

We need to set our goal, devise our plan, and become one in accord with getting it accomplished. It seems wiser to think what is  ‘best for all’ than only what is in it for me. How can we accomplish our goals without harming or preventing others?

How can we have it all without greed? We can, most certainly, we can but it takes a shift in our emphasis. We need to refocus our thinking.  There is far too much emphasis on what is wrong and WIIFM than on community and edification.

The More You Give The More Comes Back To You

We can focus on working together to make things better. It takes commitment. Whether on a global level or at home with your loved ones the concerns are similar. How can we best serve others? How can we serve while getting our needs met? How can we uplift?

How do we create a better situation? It is okay to note the problems, what is wrong, and that which needs fixing. Then, shift from what is wrong to creating potential solutions with the good of all in mind. Yes, it may be difficult at times, but we need to attempt it. To do it.

There are greedy people in the world. That is just the way it is. There are some bad things and events. Our concern shouldn’t be the number of bad things but how we can improve. What can I do to make it better for me, my family, friends, community, and country?

Don’t Wait The Time Wil Never Be Right – Act Today

We need to wake ourselves up, get involved and take active interest in creating better circumstances. Don’t be a victim of them. Our mindset needs to be positive and strong. We need to take right action. Focus on good for all of us, with as little harm as possible.

Can we hope to ever make an impact? Certainly, we must believe we can or we will never attempt it. This is why I so enjoy dear Napoleon. He said, ‘whatever the mind of man can conceive, and bring itself to believe, it can achieve’. We need to conceive of the future we want.

Imagine it and believe it is possible. Then work at it and make it happen. Don’t quit or give up but be flexible and adjust as necessary. Many things will come up to prevent you from succeeding but take these as lessons and find the opportunity within. Work on yourself.

If You Can’t Do Great Things Do Small Things In A Great Way

Develop a pleasing personality. Become optimistic and helpful. Take care of your mental, physical and emotional health and well-being. Find good people to work together with in harmony. Support and encourage. Be willing to go beyond where others will quit.

Offer incredible  ‘customer service’ or added value to all. Be honest, ethical, friendly kind and compassionate. Be focused and resolute. He offered these thoughts and so much more. I do think if more of us set out to adopt these principles we would make great impact.

If I can’t impact the globe I can at least impact those around me. If each of us did our share, living a higher standard as an individual, and cooperating with those around us we would ultimately influence more and more people on a larger scale. Our influence would grow.

Your Big Opportunity May Be Where You Are Right Now

While times are tough we remain focused. We don’t get caught up in the drama trauma, the chaos, and the confusion. We don’t succumb to lower level name calling and obstruction. We chose the high road and work to make it better. We can find or create a way.

Society is made up of individuals. If we each make it a point to live better, love more, hate less, help more, be a light in the darkness, things can improve. Will they? I think they can. I am almost certain they won’t, if we aren’t actively involved and making things better.

It starts within each of us. It starts with one’s thinking and attitude. It’s about our focus. There really is more good than bad going on in the world. It may seem otherwise, but good things are ongoing all around us. We just don’t notice a lot of it because of our attention.

It Is True You Succeed Best And Quickest Helping Others Succeed

Where do we put it? Do we put it on all the good things about ourselves and feel and express gratitude? OR do we put it more on what we don’t like about ourselves and wish we didn’t have? The same is true with our family, community, local news and everything.

What do we focus on? What do we believe? What gets most of our attention? By what things are we distracted? Distraction and a drifting mind seem to cause much of our suffering. Many simply choose to concentrate on those things that make them feel worse.

We do not have to. This is a huge component of my work, this blog and the work of others, from the ancients to present day thought leaders. We can  enjoy more of the goodness around us. We can start by enjoying the goodness within us. We can improve.

Our Only Limitations Are The Ones We Set Up In Our Minds

We can accept who we are, and we can continue to grow and transform. We only need to begin to shift our focus, ever so slightly, to make that possibility a reality. In doing so, by evolving ourselves, we can and do impact others. Heck, you know about flash mobs.

Suddenly, a group comes together and dance or some fun ensues. We can do that on a much larger, more valuable scale. Simply, think purpose. Am I here to take or am I here to contribute? How can I best serve others? What can I do to help? Be a positive influencer.

Shift attention to what good you want to create for yourself and others. Two or three together working in harmony can be and is an incredible force. The world goes on but how it goes on does depend on our involvement. If you don’t like things, work to change things.

Opportunity Often Comes Disguised In The Form Of Misfortune 

I think everything is perfect. It is what it is. Everything works together. Negative and positive are the same as night and day, warm and cold. There will always be troubles and there will always be solutions. There will always be growing pains. I accept this.

Still, when I say ‘it is what it is’, that doesn’t mean I can’t work to change things. It means I accept it and I can work to change it. I can adjust and be flexible, I can find or create a way without being attached to how the outcome must manifest. I don’t dictate it.

I don’t insist or dictate it must happen my way or not at all. I don’t make the end more important than the means. Just like sailing or traveling, I set a destination and navigate to get there. I make adjustments along the way. I keep the end point in mind. And then…

All Achievements All Earned Riches Begin As An Idea

I enjoy the journey. How I enjoy the journey most important. Anywhere along the way, there I am. I can’t be anywhere else than where I am in the moment, SO I accept that and continue on. BTW this isn’t just a ‘me’ description. We all are capable and all can do.

The key seems to be within the principles shared here and elsewhere as I have mentioned. If you love yourself and your life, you tend to be more loving and compassionate to others too. If you are thankful and grateful for all and express it, your words, feelings, and behaviors will positively impact others, too. Together, we can make an incredible difference! What You Can Do When You Are Suffering And In Pain

“Today, I suffered from some extreme nerve pain in my back, hip and all the way down my left leg. It is so intense I thought to go to urgent care to get some meds to sleep and help manage the pain. Then, I realized, I was not the pain. I am bigger than any obstacle.

I am not the thoughts but the thinker of the thoughts. This pain is here for me as a blessing to remedy what is out of alignment. It is a signal to me. BUT I am not the pain. Whatever anyone else choses is completely fine. This is my choice not a recommendation.

Use your own judgement. This is not medical advice. I went to the doctor who treated me and he said ‘Keep moving. Don’t sit.’ Standing and walking are nearly impossible. Sitting and lying down unbearable. It has made for a partly difficult day. Very intense.

Focus On The Goal Not On The Obstacle 

It nearly got the better of me. Then, I stopped and breathed and decided. I made a new choice. I determined to stop paying attention to the problem, the pain, and instead, focus on what feels good about my body in this moment. I decided to focus on what I want!

I focused on what felt the best rather than what felt the worst. I scan my body for where I feel the best, the most comfortable, and pay attention to that. Recently, I went on a grueling hike and engaged in some intense activities and used this principle to see me through.

I had to focus on where my body felt good while most of it was racked with pain. I focused on the beauty of the journey and where I was in nature instead of my physical limitations. I took my mind from suffering repeatedly and put it on more useful and delightful things.

Whatever You Focus On Expands And Grows Larger

It is all energy. Energy flows where attention goes. Attention goes where energy flows. I shifted where I placed my attention and allowed the energy of feeling good to take the place of feeling not so good. It is a moment to moment process at times. Still, I got relief!

Shifting from the pain requires me to stop and breath through it occasionally but I am managing. I’ll see the doctor again tomorrow for further treatment. When I determined the pain was a blessing rather than a problem I discovered much relief. NO, I am not ‘cured’.

The principle is to focus on what I am able to do. What I can do. Remove attention from the limitation and the ‘can’t’. Place attention on what I want, what I can do, and on that which moves me forward and gets me closer to my goal. Place the energy where it counts!

What You Focus On Is What You Get – You Create The Results

I’m not cured but I am moving forward, and learning I am not the pain. I am not the thoughts or feelings. I am the one beyond; who thinks the thoughts and feels the feelings. I can act in spite of mood, negative thinking or pain. I can focus my mind on what I want.

The mind is a tool and I am its master. It does not run me. I run my mind. Yes, I am sitting back, while typing this. Normally, an intensely painful position to be in. Still, I want to write this post and that means I go through it. I will be fine. I am fine. I AM! I am blessed.

I wanted to share. This is not about me, even while I share an experience. It’s about how to manage thoughts and take control of our thinking process to begin getting the results we want to get. It is learning to be bigger than problems and obstacles. Because we are.

If You Say You Have You Will Always Have What You Say

Sometime ago, I challenged my problems. I yelled, ‘bring it on’ and there has been no shortage of opportunity to learn and grow. Some repeated lessons, which I discussed recently. It is all good. I was and am happy to be able to shout, ‘bring it!’. They no longer detour me.

Problems, pain, negative thoughts and attitudes are all part of life. Someone once said, as children we aren’t responsible for the conditioning and negative programming we ended up with. As adults, however, we are 100% responsible for changing it.

This blog, my mission, is about this very point. You and I can change our old conditioning and create new powerful, positive, supportive conditioning that empowers us to get the results we want and deserve to get. We can make what we want happen. We truly can!

Change The Story You Keep Telling Yourself And Change Your Life

Your life can and will change! This is why I write this blog. I want you to know you can live life by your own design and on your own terms. There are things you can do, practices you can apply, principles you can adopt, habits you can create that will transform you!

You Gotta Move A Lot Of Dirt To Get To The Gold!

“When you dig for gold you have to move tons of dirt. You’re not looking for the dirt. You’re looking for the gold. Still, you move all this dirt to find just a few ounces. The same is true when you seek to change and evolve yourself. You move the dirt to uncover the gold.

Sadly, some people focus on the dirt. They get caught up in the dirt. They revel in the dirt, talk about dirt, complain about dirt. Dirt, dirt, dirt. That is all they know. They don’t want the dirt but they perpetuate it. Instead of getting rid of dirt, they bag it and carry it.

When you begin to change and evolve you will encounter things about yourself you may not appreciate. You will find beliefs that don’t serve you. Memories of past hurts. You may be disappointed in a variety of ways, yet, this is all part of transformation and change.

The Future Can Be Better Than The Past And I Can Make It So

Remove the dirt that keeps your true self hidden. In order to discover who you are, eliminate what holds you back. Let it go. Drop it. Don’t wallow in it. Sift it for nuggets. Examine it and drop it. Don’t hang on to the dirt. Hang on to the treasures you find.

Since, you know you will encounter less than glorious thoughts and feelings, be prepared. Recognize these for what they are: opportunities to discover your true self hidden within them. Your obstacles, challenges, bad feelings, everything, are opportunities.

Remember, you get what you focus on! What you focus on expands. You get back more of what you put out.  They are not just opportunities but blessings! You are blessed. Go within. Appreciate yourself. Appreciate the journey. Appreciation always adds value!

What Kind Of Journey Is It?

“We are all journeying separately, together. We have our solo missions and yet, we all travel together and help each other succeed. No one lives or journeys in true isolation. So what kind of journey is it? What is your journey about? Are you enjoying the journey.

The journey seems to be mostly about awareness. What you are able to discover about yourself, others and the world while you are here. You either enjoy your journey or you do not. If not, why not? What is it that prevents you from enjoying where you are right this moment.

BEcome aware. BEcome aware of all crap so you can let go, forgive and move onward. BEcome aware of all the good so you can celebrate and enjoy. BEcome aware of when you are selfish and not giving. BEcome aware when you are supportive and helpful.

The Goal Of Life Is To Be Fully Alive – Live Learn Love Laugh – BE

You will discover many things about yourself. Seek to. BEcome aware. Notice how I spelled BEcome. When we simply, ‘be’ who we are without masks, without filters and prejudices, without judgements the journey becomes so much more delightful.

Hardships BEcome blessings because you BEcome aware of those hidden within the challenges. As you become more aware of how you hold yourself back and let go of it you have more energy to enjoy all the wonderful good things that you were missing. It’s about focus.

The journey is all we have. The destination is off in the future. How you arrive at the destination is more important than actually arriving. You can’t sacrifice now for back then or what is up ahead. You only have how you live, love and celebrate now. Happiness is!

How You Journey To Your Destination Is Everything Be Here Now

It isn’t about getting to be happy later when your bills are paid and you have your dream career, relationship, car or home. It is BEcoming happy now in spite of those less than glorious times. Learn to BE happy. Be fulfilled. Be rich even when your wallet is empty.

Awareness is the key. Have the courage to face yourself and explore. BE willing to examine what you find. Let go of what stops you. Accentuate what moves you into BEing and greater awareness. Live well this moment and the next takes care of itself. Delight in all. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

How To Change Limiting Beliefs Through Doubt

“Most people live life as a cork bobbing in the water. They move whichever way they are pulled by the current. Sometime this way, good, sometimes that way, bad. There is a way to more consistently live happily, positively and powerfully. Would you like to know how?

We all face negative thoughts and beliefs. We can change them. We don’t have to be a victim to our thinking. In fact, it is crucial for our success and happiness to take charge of, and control, our thinking and feeling, instead of allowing it to be haphazard.

Doubt your doubts. Yes, doubt them. Begin to doubt them. Whenever you think or say something like, ‘I could never do that’ you don’t have to believe that. That is simply part of your less than productive, chronic, habitual thinking you learned from the past.

Stop Clinging To The Old Conditioning – Let It Go – Become New

You can change it. Doubt it. Don’t give it the credence you have been giving it in the past. Consider this. If you can doubt that you could do it, you could also begin to doubt that you couldn’t do it. Get it? You don’t have to accept your thought as a life sentence.

Neither thought is actually true. It is only a reflection of what you have come to believe and accept as true. It is possible you could do it just as much as it is possible you couldn’t. You just may not have considered this before. Your thoughts are one-sided, out of balance.

Start considering the positive. Consider what you might possibly do that could lead to you doing it. You don’t have to know how you could but you can begin to imagine how it might be possible. Doubt that you can’t! Begin to think that you could and can and will.

Doubt Your Doubts – Question Them – Face Your Fears – Act

‘I’ll never get out of debt.’ ‘Perhaps, that isn’t true. What if I did? How might I begin to think and behave differently for me to change this? Who says, I can’t? What if I do? Just because I have thought, I won’t doesn’t mean, I won’t? Perhaps, I could? What would that be like?’

You lead yourself out of the negativity by doubting the non-supportive belief and beginning to wonder how you can begin to make things different. Inch by inch. You switch the less than glorious, negative, non-productive, non-supportive belief for a better one.

Why would you ever choose to have a less than glorious, negative, non-productive, non-supportive belief set anyway? Most likely you wouldn’t. So go ahead and begin to change it. Some will take some time, some will be much easier. You’ll notice this too, as you do it.

Your Future Is Based On Your Present Decisions – Think Positive

Never stay stuck when you don’t have to. Be in charge of your thinking and your feelings. Change your life for the positive. Everything changes when you do. From within to without. It starts with thoughts, your feelings, then actions, that get you your results.

Do you want better results? Think better! Doubt your doubts! Doubt your negative beliefs! Change them to positive, powerful, productive ones that serve you! Work on it daily. Develop the habit of thinking positively. Learn that you CAN celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

There Are Two Basic Emotions Feel Good And Feel Bad

There are two basic emotions. You can feel good or feel bad.  The goal is is to feel good most of the time.  Don’t think you have to feel blissed out the entire time. The goal is to feel a little bit better, the best you can. This is important to understand. Feel better.

If you’re feeling down  you want to move into feeling a little bit better. Move in the direction of feeling good. Move incrementally. If you’re down it isn’t likely you will make a gigantic leap into feeling incredible. Just move bit by bit toward feeling better. Get it?

You can always feel a little bit better. Even now. That is your goal to spend most of your time feeling the best you are able to. Keep moving  in the direction of feeling good. Feel good more often than not. Keep it simple. There is only feeling good or feeling bad.

There Is Always Some Good In Each Day – Find It Celebrate It

Ask yourself which you are feeling? If you are feeling bad do something to change it.  Do whatever you can to feel better. Move more. Go for a walk. Get out in nature. Do some gardening or something enjoyable outdoors. Notice the beauty and freshness.

Do yoga. Exercise.  Meditate. Read or listen to some uplifting material.  Find positive and inspiring people to hang around with. Attend an event. Go to a workshop.  Invest in yourself. Shake it up. Put a smile on your face. Make someone else smile.

Compliment  people. Speak only to bless, heal and prosper. Talk positive not about negative things. Help someone who has a problem that’s worse than yours. As long as you’re moving toward feeling a bit better you are raising your energy in the right direction.

Accentuate The Positive – Something Wonderful Will Happen

When you feel bad, have negative thoughts, or feel fears, worries and anxieties take that as a signal that something is off and you need to adjust. Adjust and correct and do those things that make you feel better. Keep heading in the direction.

As long as you’re heading in the right direction you’re making progress. Gratitude is a great way to get out of being stuck and feeling less than glorious. Look around at everything you can appreciate and express it. Delight in it. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

“What Can You Do When You Shock Or Disappoint Yourself?

“What do you do when you shock or disappoint yourself? You plan for the best but somehow you behave the opposite. You argue when you try everything not to. You break a commitment. You hurt  a loved when and didn’t mean to. What to do? What can you do?

You stop. Take a deep breath. Let go and release. Do your best not to blame yourself or others. Don’t make excuses. Sit with it and reflect. You may not have an answer but somewhere there is some old conditioning rearing its head. It happens to us all. It really does.

Despite your best intentions and efforts you behaved counter to what you wanted to. You wanted a nice evening and it all went to hell. You hoped to enjoy the weekend but it became a disaster. It takes two to tango and you were party to it. What gives?

One’s Best Success Often Comes After One’s Worst Disaster

Some old habits die hard. Sometimes, crap happens. Life hands you lemons. That is just the way it is. I wouldn’t write too much into it. I would however, wonder what I might release to be different. I would really let go and just sit with it as much as possible without judging.

I wouldn’t discard it or be flippant in regard to it. I’d assume everything happens for a reason so that I can learn to be a better person. That somewhere I may have been harboring resentments, or issues, or ‘whatever’ that needed to come out. AND they did.

They may have come out when least expected. Bad timing, perhaps. What I am trying to get at is, crap happens. Don’t invest in it. Don’t judge or blame yourself or others. Don’t regret. Make corrections and apologies if you are able to. Don’t over analyze. Just be.

The Kite Rises Highest Against The Wind – Learn To Soar

It is what it is. What can you learn from it? How can you transform because of or in spite of it? How can you grow and evolve to be an even better person? Use it to learn how to be better now and in the future. There is no ultimate answer that I know of. It just is.

Find the blessing. Find the silver lining. That doesn’t mean you excuse your behavior if you were at fault, or if you did harm. It means learn, grow. Own up. Take 100% responsibility for your thoughts and actions. Don’t deny. Don’t ignore. But don’t wallow.

Don’t pity. Don’t berate. Don’t hate yourself. Forgive, love and accept that you are human and sometimes screw up. That’s what humans do. We are not perfect. We all make mistakes. Accept that you will continue to make mistakes, hopefully not the same ones.

There Is No Failure – Only Feedback – Don’t Beat Yourself Up

Mistakes are opportunities to get feedback, make corrections, adjust and improve. If you let someone down or violated their trust, if they allow you to make amends, then perhaps, you can. They may or may not forgive you. That’s up to them. You can forgive yourself.

You can forgive them. It doesn’t matter whether they know it or not. Forgive them for yourself, so you can let go if you harbor any ill will. Recognize that tomorrow will be another day. Who knows what it will bring. You fell down. Get up, dust off. Move forward.

Expect the best again. Don’t lose hope. Don’t give up because of an event. Stay the course. Get back on track. Shift away from the less than glorious and to the positive and productive. Focus what you want to create. Now, you know better what you want. Don’t you?

You’re Not A Finished Product – You Are A Work In Process

You know you didn’t want the ‘incident’. What is it you want instead? Phrase it in the positive. What good do you want? Focus on bringing that about even if you aren’t yet sure how. You know what you don’t want to happen. Now, turn your attention to what you do want.

Stop focusing on the event. You don’t want to give it energy and recreate it. You want to create something else. Put your energy and attention on what you do wish to create. For example, you had a fight but you want to get along. Don’t think about the fighting.

Imagine all the ways you can get along, all the wonderful, nice things, you can do to create rapport, trust and understanding. See yourself, feel yourself, behaving in loving way. Program your mind for what you want to include and leave what you don’t want, alone.

Be Thankful Even During The Trials – Celebrate Everything

I think this is how we remedy a bad situation. We look at it realistically. We sit with it a bit. We learn what we want, instead. We forgive and let it go. We put into practice making what we want a reality. From within to without. Our thoughts create our reality.

We celebrate the opportunity. Consider everything a blessing. We move forward. We choose to feel the best we can about what was a less than glorious situation. We transform ourselves by the renewing of our minds. I don’t have all the answers, but I hope this helps. From our learning we can celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

“Perhaps, you didn’t know I am a director, producer and an actor. I have a Inet radio show/podcast Rex Sikes’ Movie Beat. Two years ago I canceled a show because my guest had to cancel last minute. I decided to share success tips anyone can use to get ahead.

Never Let Yesterday Use Up Too Much Of Today

“Why do some people, perhaps you, seem to never get ahead? What is one of the biggest difficulties people face that prevents them from getting what they want? Where is it that most people put their attention? How come it doesn’t work the way you hope it will?

“Never let yesterday use up too much of today.”  Will Rogers said that and it is great advice. You cannot move forward looking back. You can’t drive your car forward looking only in the rearview mirror. Yet, that is what many people do. They try to get ahead looking back.

Be here now. Come to this moment. Live in the present, the here and now. Let go of what was. Honor it. Respect it. Learn from it. Forgive it. Make reparations if necessary and you are able to.  Accept it and then let it go. Drop it. Don’t let the past define you. Stop judging.

The More Grateful You Are The More Present You Become 

You are more than your past conditioning and experiences. Whatever your past was it is gone. Unless you continue to keep it alive.  Some of it was good. Maybe, some of it not so good. That is okay. Bring your attention to now. Let go of any, ‘if I had only…’

Stop living with regret. Stop living with shame. Stop being a survivor and start living fully. Cut the ties that bind and put your attention on this day. This moment, Right here. Right now. When you free yourself of looking back your energy is available to transform now.

Your now energy is available to look forward and create what you want  from this moment on. Look at what you can be grateful for right now. Celebrate your past as prior learning and lessons. Begin to celebrate now for all that is available to you. Be here and now.

Be Present In All Things Be Thankful For All Things – Live Now

Count your blessings. Be thankful. List your wins. List everything you appreciate. It can be small or large. It can be specific or vague. Just begin taking inventory of what you can be grateful for right this instant. Focus on these and notice how good it feels. Start living. Live fully. Find all the good Find the new. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Important Things To Do When Feeling Blue

“Remember, the tide goes out and comes back in. The cold becomes warm. To everything, there is a season. Thought and feeling management is based on creating supportive habits. Sometimes a break is nice. I tend to push through things. Sometimes, just allow.

Sometimes the contrast between feeling like it and not feeling like it can provide us with important insight and learning. Allow and surrender without giving up or giving in. Let go of how you think it should be and explore how it could be. Stop labeling and judging.

Look for tiny blessings that put a smile on your lips. Enjoy and delight. Morning comes. Whatever you focus on expands. Energy flows where attention goes. Attitude is everything. Where can you put your attention and focus that supports you? Find love, peace.

Listen To The Silence – It Speaks – Slow Down – Just Listen

What can you find that uplifts you? Look around. When blue, when stressed, when angry our focus constricts. Open it back up. Relax, breathe, move. Create some space. Step back a bit. Allow, let go. Stop and breathe. Breathe and focus on your breath. Listen. Listen.

Sigh. Hum. Sing. Breathe. Move. Walk. Notice, what else is around? Look around. Wonder, really wonder, what can you begin to explore and notice that is good and new? Go to nature. Sit. Imbibe. Listen, really listen. Look at the space. The empty spaces between things.

Do you realize there is more space than matter? Look at the space between branches and leaves. Between trees. Listen to the space between the notes in a song. Listen to the space between words. Create silence, listen to the space between your thoughts.

Silence Isn’t Empty – It Is Full Of Answers – Be Still And Know

Step back create some distance between you and the issue. Look at things from other angles, other perspectives. Lie down and look at the clouds. Look at the space between the clouds. Listen to a babbling brook; the sounds and silences in nature. Just listen.

Look for silver linings. Look for the good. Seek the good, however small. Seek what is new and different. Find anything to appreciate. Anything at all. ANYTHING! Large or small. Put your attention on the people, places, things, events, situations you are grateful for.

This changes everything. Keep the focus on what you are thankful for. That is where your energy will flow. That will change everything. It may start small, hardly noticable, or it may come in a flood. However it does, allow it. Celebrate it. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
