“A recent article validates what we already have known for centuries. Michael Merzenich research is shared in ‘How To Rewire Your Brain For Massive Success According To Neuroscience’. He points to five things we can do to help ourselves change.

Engage in brain aerobics means playing, chess, puzzles, crosswords and other activities and games that encourage thinking. Yes, it is important to stay fresh by challenging yourself. Memory games good too. What he neglects is the numerous physical activities that work.

Skip, sing, spin in circles, juggle, learn magic tricks with coins and cards. Do finger exercise, such as playing piano or violin. Handwrite with a pen. Fine finger movements help keep people spry and cogent. All of it works together. Do it. Move and use your fingers.

The More We Do The More We Become Capable Of Doing

Find fresh ideas. Study and learn new things. Agreed. It is important to learn and self improve. As you do you evolve yourself. Learn to think outside the box. Expose yourself to new ideas. Read lots. Challenge yourself. Learn new skills. Have fun learning. Self invest.

Envision the person you want to be. Amen! Spent time visualizing. From the dawn of human thinking the practice of visualizing has been encouraged. Use your imagination to set goals to be, do and have. See yourself as having attained them and how you did so.

Focus on your long term goals. Train your mind to be ahead by anticipating what you will gain by pursuing your goals. Absolutely! This is the ‘ACT AS IF’ principle and visualization activated. Plan for success and work the plan. Develop your inner success abilities

Visualizing Is Like Building Muscle We Get Stornger As We Do It

See the ups and downs and how you navigate to success in spite of obstacles or blocks. Develop contingency plans. You might want to visit my articles on how to properly visualize by searching this blog. Engage your mind by imagining success repeatedly. Do it!

Shift to an exponential mindset. The article states most people don’t know that shifting or changing one’s mindset could lead to significant growth. I say, this is due to the overwhelming amounts of propaganda we encounter growing up that claims we can’t.

We are taught to be limited in so many varying ways. Our parents, peers and friends, media and our culture promote, purposefully and inadvertently, that we are victims of circumstances, and powers outside of ourselves. We are not taught to take 100% responsibility.

You Go Where Your Thoughts Take You – Mindset Matters

I do like that the researcher points out you can accelerate your rate of change by thinking big, dreaming big, 10x bigger than most people think by anticipating the good things coming your way, and that even failure is all part of the process. Embrace all of it. The side effect is:

You end up being 10x more ahead and prepared for how things work out whether positive or not. The bottom line is your mindset matters. You can do a lot to be successful by how you use your mind. This notion and practice has been around for thousands of years.

I am glad science is reporting more validation for what we have known, and the positive practices people have been doing, for centuries. I am happy science verifies these things with renewed interest. There is rarely anything new to report.

Skill To Do Comes From Doing – Practice Practice Practice

It means that what we can do has been tested for about 6 thousand years. Modern versions that came from Hill, Holmes, Wattles and others have been based on these principles too. Hill’s work is responsible for more people becoming millionaires than any other single work. It is all good. Hope more people begin these practices and apply the principles to transform their lives. Manage Your Mindset And Success Behaviors Will Follow

“Knowing who to listen to, and who not to, is important when it comes to making positive changes, developing good habits and becoming successful.  Not all information, or sources, is useful. Not all information is equal. You need to know who to listen to.

Selecting a good mentor is crucial. You want someone who has, or does, what you want and who has been where you are. If they come from a background similar to yours and accomplished what you want,  they may be a good mentor for you. Do you understand?

To achieve your goals define your goal. Clarify what you want. Make it a burning desire through visualizing and affirming each day. You must be driven, passionate and enthused by, and about, your goal. If it scares you a little, that is good. It stretches you. Get it?

What You Want To Do With Ease First You Do With Dilligence

Every day repeat your visualization and affirmations. In the old days this was called autosuggestion. I actually like this term. You continue to see yourself as already being it, doing it, having it. Tell yourself you you have made this happen until you firmly believe you will.

Keep it as the predominant thought/s in your mind. As you continue to do this you will begin to fashion a plan to accomplish what you want. This plan will change many times. That is okay. You never develop the perfect plan. You adjust it as you move forward.

Once you have defined your goals clearly, have it as a burning desire, and believe you can accomplish it, shift your focus to the very first step in your plan. You no longer have to focus on the goal.  Keep that in the background while you focus on achieving the steps.

If You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

You know what you want and you work the plan, step by step along the way. It is mindset first and  then behaviors follow.  Focus on getting mindset right and you will automatically do the right behaviors. You’ll adjust as necessary. It all works together.

If you focus on behaviors, or the steps, first you can end up spinning your wheels for a long, long time. Mindset is what organizes it all for you.  Mindset is 99% of the game. Behaviors, steps or actions are 1%. Do it correctly and you succeed.

If you’re focused on what to do you can end up getting nowhere fast. You can see this all the time. People being very busy but getting nowhere. Proper action follows the  proper mindset. This is why it is good to have the right mentor who can guide you well. Get it?

Action Is The Proper Fruit Of Knowledge – MindSet First

A mentor can’t do it for you, but if their journey is similar to yours, you can benefit from the mentor’s expertise. If your backgrounds are not similar they won’t be able to guide you properly. Wisdom in choosing who you listen to is key. Books can only get you so far.

Not all books are worth reading either. I recommend you read Napoleon Hill. His work stands the test of time. In Laws Of Success and Think And Grow Rich he explains how it works.  He describes mental process, the thoughts needed to encourage the behavior.

Napoleon Hill said, you focus on what you can control. That is your thoughts. Get your thinking right and all else will follow. That is why he titled the book THINK And Grow Rich, not work hard and grow rich. There is a fundamental, and important, difference in the successful approach. Learn it. Learn gratitude, too. When you do these, things will change for the better. Do it and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Write Out Your Affirmations This Way!

“One of the best things you can do daily is to write out your affirmations by hand. Use pen and paper. Every morning, as part of your daily ritual, write down the affirmations you are working on. Word them the same each day. Repeat daily and keep doing this.

THIS is a powerful way to communicate with your subconscious and get it to accept the beliefs you are working on. Use present tense when writing. ‘I am magnificent’. If you can’t yet believe that, then write out, ‘I am in the process of learning I am magnificent!’

Or, ‘I am beginning to learn how truly magnificent I am’. Writing these down helps you to more fully imagine your desire and wires it in by using your body. It is not just imagined visually or spoken words but physically wired it in. Always feel enthused while you’re doing it.

The More We Do The More We Are Able To Do

When on the road, driving safely, you can shout and chant and sing your affirmations powerfully. The more emotion you infuse them with the more powerful they become. Our emotions drive everything. So use your most joyous and powerful emotions to do it.

Have fun. Make it daily practice. First thing in morning, along with your other morning practices, is a great time to feed your mind. Do your rituals at the same time each day. Make it a sacred practice.  Enjoy the process! You can also do it any other time during the day and before bed. Feel wonderful! Feel grateful! Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Looking over your written goals is a great morning ritual habit to have is to take a few minutes to   Imagine you have already brought them into being. You have already manifested them. Visualize and feel what it is like to already being living what you want. Enjoy this.

Really enjoy the feelings of having accomplished your goal! Live the future right now in the present. You can even look back and see what actions you took to bring it about.  Focus on how good it feels to be living your dream and having made what you wanted happen. Imagine it vividly. How Your Self Talk Affects You Good And Bad!

“Happiness is a left brain function. It is directly tied to what you say to yourself on the inside. Speech is left brain, too. We’re as happy as our self talk is happy and positive. We’re as happy as our thoughts and pictures. We’re as happy as the story we routinely tell ourselves.

We think in pictures more than words. ‘A picture is worth 1000 words’. We make pictures, both inside and outside of our awareness, and describe those images. We also describe what we experience and make internal images.  Words bridge the inner and the outer.

That’s why we create what we think and speak. Importance has been given to our words as a creative force from ancient times. Words are used to describe our mental blueprints. We translate an idea into action, for ourselves and for others, through the words we choose.

What You Say Is What You Get – Control Your Self Talk

The stories we tell ourselves are important. They affect us! We need to tell ourselves better stories if we want our lives to improve. We need to speak more kindly to ourselves, silently and out loud. We need to monitor and improve our self talk, and our talk to others.

You bring about what you think about. What you focus on expands. What you see, say and feel IS what you get. You either reinforce the crap in your life by your thoughts, words and deeds or you make things better by your thoughts, words and deeds. It’s mindset first!

If you’re feeling crappy you’re imagining things as crappy. You’re seeing crappy things inside and out AND saying crappy things to yourself and others. That’s why you feel crappy. You deserve better! You can change all that, by changing what you’re doing inside!

What You See Is What You Get – Visualize Only Positive Good

When you do have positive, mental images and nurturing self talk you feel good. Positive feelings arise. You can also create positive feelings, by making positive mental images and self talk, deliberately. This is called visualization and affirmations. See, speak and hear!

Every day, deliberately imagine what you want for yourself. Imagine the good you desire, as if you already have it. Affirm and declare it with words and your physical energy. Feel it, Be passionate and emotional about it. Enjoy it! Be thrilled and eager. Savor it!

Command yourself to be who and what you want to be. Imagine and feel that. Every day, see it. Command yourself to become that. Affirm that you are it. Declare it done! On the inside, live it. Make it real. Walk it about, live it in daily life. Act as if. Imagine fully. Get it?

What You Feel Is What You Get – Feel Your Best – Act As If

Repeated visualizing and affirming get your mind to work for you instead of you working for it. Make things happen. Get control over those words you already are saying to yourself. Stop talking about what you don’t want. Only affirm what you DO want to reinforce.

PAY ATTENTION to your words. Speak ONLY to bless, heal and prosper. Make them positive. The words you use are powerful, so use them wisely. Use everything you have in a positive and powerful way. Practice gratitude. Be delighted in the process and your progress. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

What You Need To Know About The Dark Times!

“Darkness is necessary for growth, as is sunlight. Everything has a season. Tides come in and go out. Life changes. People change. Nothing is written in stone.  It is all physical, mental and emotional processes. Process implies movement and movement is change.

Never give up. Even if you did nothing at all, ever, you would change. That is nature. That is the nature of life. Everything changes given enough time. Nothing is permanent. Everything is in flux at some level. You may or may not notice it but everything moves. Atoms.

Thoughts are simply those things you think. They are not you. They are something you do from habit. You may not like the thoughts you think much of the time. You may not like the results of your thinking. Still, habits can be changed. You can change your thinking! You!

Energy Isn’t Created Or Destroyed – Energy Is Transformed

Take control. It can be instantaneous, mostly it is by step by step. You change inch by inch, foot by foot, yard by yard, mile by mile. It is incremental. It seems slow at first but it gets faster as you go along. The more you do, the more you are able to do, and more easily.

You get better at it. So, know this: you can, and will, always get through, and beyond, any troubling issue. It may not seem like it but you can, if you decide to. It is difficult to see connections projecting forward. You can’t. You can only connect the dots looking back.

You can’t connect dots looking forward. Moving forward you need to decide, plan, take action and move. You go a far as you can see and when you get there you can see farther. Looking back, you may find the meaning of troubling situations BUT, in reality, all are blessings.

Focus On What You Have To Gain – Not On What You Give Up

Learn to practice gratitude for the past. Be grateful for every bit, all past. You may say, ‘but, but’. BUT do it. Learn to appreciate all the hard, dark, even terrible moments. You got through them. That was then. What did you, what could you, learn from the past?

It is no longer! Don’t carry the baggage from the past. Look back and see it how it brought you to now, this moment, where you can change your thoughts about it, and transform your life for the better. Feel gratitude for the past. Be thankful for the present, this moment.

Feel blessed for all of it, then and now; every moment, person, event and circumstance. Expect to be blessed in the future. Unexpected good will come your way, Feel gratitude for the future. You will be different. That moment passed, this moment, too will pass.

If You Want All Things To Change Faster – Change Yourself

You will always land on your feet. Expect to. Expect unexpected good. Realize, it mostly goes how you think it will; what you think it is. It becomes what you say it is; how you define it determines what you pay attention to. It is the gospel according to you. It’s yours!

What you focus on, you get. Thoughts are things. Still, you can change from negative to positive. You never have to remain stuck. Things change! Learn to think differently about anything. You can learn to feel differently, too. It is whether or not you choose to.

Moving your body, changing your physiology changes your mental and emotional state.  Exercise and hard physical work has been prescribed for depression and anxiety since ancient times. Everything can change, if you are willing. You can make it better.

Whether You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You’re Right 

Move, go for a walk. Change your thinking. Focus on what you want, not on the problems. Practice gratitude. Feel the gratitude. Stay with it. Focus on it, again and again. Read inspiring materials. Surround yourself with positive people and messages. Affirm your power and visualize the good, again and again. It gets better! Especially, when you celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

How To Break A Board Or Brick With Your Mind!

“When a martial artist focuses on breaking a board or a brick with their hand they have a special focus. They do not focus on their hand hitting the block because that would hurt. Instead they focus on where their hand is after it goes through the object. Important note!

In their mind they imagine the end result. Their hand has passed through the board or brick successfully. Their hand is in the finished position, complete and intact. They are successful.  They imagine this while facing the obstacle. They visualize being successful first!

Prior to breaking the board or brick they see it in their mind, FIRST. They imagine succeeding while looking directly at the ‘impenetrable’ object. They face the solid obstacle and they manage their fear and their doubts. They take charge and manage their emotional state.

Those Who Break Through Barriers Are Those Who Ignore Limits 

They believe, with certainty, they will succeed and overcome. They will be successful. They must believe this or they will stop the moment they hit the object and possibly hurt their hand. They manage their mindset, their emotions, their fears and their doubts.

They visualize succeeding! When ready they take full action.  When finished they celebrate their success in reality. Get it? This is what we do when we manifest. This is how we create our future. We see it now. We manage our state and we take action. Get it? Do you?

They harness and manage all their energy and resources. They are concentrated. They are deliberate. They are intentional. They have set an intention to successfully break through the brick. Energy flows where attention goes. Their energy goes to beyond the brick.

Life Has No Limitations Except The Ones You Make And Believe

They don’t put their energy into the obstacle but in going through the obstacle safely, and successfully. They know in advance they will prevail, they will succeed. Their energy is focused on what they can do and not on what they can’t do or how hard it will be. Get it?

You can learn to do this too. You don’t have to break boards or bricks but you can smash through any obstacle that has held you back and you can make your dreams come true. You can learn to succeed at anything. You can become happier, healthier and wealthier.

Not Doing This Literally Robs You Of Your Life!

“Everyday you are being robbed. That absolutely sucks. Has anyone ever taken anything that belongs to you and not returned it. Not good, right? Every single day you are losing out.  Every day you are missing the mark and ending up with far less than you could have.

Each day you lose time. You lose energy. You lose opportunities that bypass you. Have you ever had an idea you thought was great, a money maker, but you didn’t take action on it. Someone else did and they enjoyed great success. Opportunities like that, may come once.

You may be reading the newspapers online and offline, articles on FB and more of the same, daily. You may be posting your displeasure and arguing with others. You may be viewing countless hours of video or attempting to get the very latest breaking news .

What You Read Has The Power To Change You 

You could be gossiping with co-workers and neighbors. Playing online games and gambling. Perhaps, you run down to the casino every few days to try your luck. Perhaps, you are reading trashy romance or popular novels one after the other. It doesn’t matter.

There are lots of ways to spend time.  It is important to feel good. Some things make us feel really good, which IS really good. Other things distract us from feeling not so good. They are ok. They bring pleasure and guilty pleasure but they are a substitute for good.

These distract us from ourselves and from our life. We can never get our time back. Ever! Wasting time robs us! So, how we spend our time, should be a priority for each of us. It is probably an accurate statement, that you could make better use of your time.  Am I right?

Reading Can Change Your Thoughts – Your Words – Your Actions

If you want to change, and transform yourself and your life into the best it can be, then there are things you need to do, that help you do that. One of these is reading. Reading inspirational and motivational books. Not just any book that comes along but some of the classics.

You’d be better served if, daily, you spend your time reading Napoleon Hill, Ernest Holmes, Wallace Wattles, Neville Goddard, David Schwartz, Joseph Murphy, Norman Vincent Peale, Dale Carnegie, and Abraham Hicks. Feed your mind some positivity.

Get some positive nutrition. Don’t get pulled down into the fray, rise above. Do some daily mental conditioning. If you could read for an hour each day that would be wonderful. If you think you can’t, then read whatever you can. 30, 20 15, 10, 5 or even a minute. Get it?

Your Life Does Not Get Better By Chance – You Change It

How you spend your time is crucial to your happiness and success. The more time you spend feeding and conditioning your mind for positive thoughts and enjoying positive feelings, the more positive actions you will take, that lead to positive outcomes and results.

Get it? Read these books and let them inspire you and direct your mind. Why read? Because when you do you use your imagination. You visualize and can picture yourself happy and successful. You affirm. You think, ‘I can do that!’ ‘I will do that!’ You use your mind.

Stop robbing yourself and start caring for yourself. You have to value your time and energy and how you use your mind and feelings.  Put an end to distractions that rob you. Instead, put your mind to good use. You never get back the time you waste! NOW, is the only time.

It Is Important To Think Positive And Feel Good Most Of Your Time

Remember, the more time you put your mind to better use, the more likely you are to get the good results and have the lifestyle you desire. Spend time feeling good. Use your imagination. Affirm your happiness!  You’ll feel happier and more successful as you do.

You’ll get further, faster, when you spend your time, filling your mind daily, with good, positive, reading material. Utilize  this blog as part of your regime. Spend time being inspired and feeling grateful. Practice appreciation for everything in your life. It will change you. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

This Determines Whether You Stay The Course Or Drop The Ball!

“Will you make it or will you flop? What will be the end result, success or failure? Is there anything you can do to make success more likely? Will you succeed or won’t you? What do you think the answer to that question is? Your success depends on your answer.

It begins, within us, as an idea we conceive of. From within, we move it, to without. We translate the idea into reality. We think, take action and get results. Napoleon Hill said, ‘What the human mind can conceive, and bring itself to believe, it can achieve.’  So we can.

Hill stated, he would not say, ‘we will achieve’ because he had no way of knowing what each individual will do or not do. Some will take action and do it. For others, it will remain a nice quote. Whether or not we succeed is up to each of us. You and I are responsible.

Whether You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

You must become unstoppable. Persist in spite of any odds. Stay committed to your goal. Remain certain you will prevail. Developing and maintaining certainty is one of the secrets. So, how does one become certain? You must develop faith in yourself. Here’s how.

The process of conceiving or imagining and creating has been called ‘out picturing’. Out picturing is what allows us to manifest what we want in the outer world. It’s a fairly good description. We picture on the inside and make it happen on the outside. We out picture.

A couple of times, recently, I referred to the sculpting process.  The end result is the out picture the sculptor envisioned. To create we must remove any resistance. Much of what rises to prevent us, are our own doubts and fears. Our limiting beliefs must be dealt with.

What You Consistently Hold In Your Mind Is What You Experience

We must replace non-supportive beliefs with supportive ones. We replace limited, ‘I can’t’ thinking with ‘I can’ thinking. We do this by exposing our minds to positive material; through daily reading and listening to inspiring and motivating material. We feed our minds.

We remove limitations through reciting our affirmations, daily, numerous times, aloud, with positive, enthusiastic emotions and feelings. We use cadence, similarly to how the military uses it. We hang around with other positive ‘can do’ people. We do workshops.

We attend events. We go to recognition ceremonies and notice, those who succeed, so we can begin to think,’ if THAT person can do it, I CAN do it!’ We visualize our success and we feel as if we have already succeeded. We use the ‘act as if’ principle. All this helps.

You Life Is A Living Reflection Of What You Are Out Picturing

We keep our eyes on the prize. We clear our minds of all distractions and negative thinking by sharpening and maintaining our focus. You maintain a vivid mental picture of what it is you want. A vision board helps greatly. Keep pictures and reminders around. Look at these.

The personal goal, besides succeeding, but in creating that success, IS TO REMAIN positive about the inner world goals you have, regardless of what you encounter in the outer world. This is the secret key, no matter what you encounter, stay the course. Believe!

Remain confident. Feel certain you will accomplish your goal no matter what the universe hurls at you. The person who can do this is the person who does arrive. Release your attachment to the physical world. Let go of the outer resistance, as well as, the inner resistance.

We Become What We Think About – What We Focus On Expands

The sculptor removes whatever is not the sculpture. The sculptor chips away at the stone to release the visualized creation from within. The medium may be difficult but, through belief and persistence, the sculptor unleashes and realizes the goal. We do too.

Understand that the picture in your mind, and the positive feeling you have for it, are real! What you encounter in the world is what you encounter. HOW you respond is what makes a difference! Some buckle and whine, complain and excuse. Others make it happen.

What will you do? Can or will? It’s completely up to you! That’s why Hill said, you can achieve it, if you will conceive it and bring yourself to believe YOU are able to.  Condition yourself for success. Remove the obstacles of your own thinking and feeling. Make it happen!

Gratitude is one of the most important means to a successful conclusion. Learn to live in, and with, and express gratitude moment to moment. Fill yourself with awe and wonder and thanks. When you do all of life transforms because you transform. So celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

What You Hold In Your Head You Can One Day Hold In Your Hand

“What we hold in our head, we can some day hold in our hand. That is a statement you may or may not be familiar with. It means we bring forth that which we picture or imagine. Without a definite plan or image we drift, results and life are haphazard. Who knows what?

So we create a strong internal image of what we want to create and focus on it daily. We make daily concentration on our image or goal a habit. This informs and trains our subconscious, our treasure chest of resources and hidden abilities, we want to make THIS happen.

Then we take the steps necessary to create it. Recently, I wrote that a sculptor gets an idea, gathers the materials, fashions the medium into the final end result. The sculptor creates it. It is the same with each of us. We concentrate on our goal and translate it into reality.

Visualizing Is Daydreaming With A Purpose

Focus daily on what you want. It can’t be a whim, it must be intense. You must be passionate about it or you won’t make it happen. Vision boards are good. It’s a poster with pictures on it of what you want to create. Put pictures on the dash of your car to remind you.

Pictures, drawings, photos around the house or work space that bring your attention back to what you want to create. Journal about it. Carry with you and read your goal statement at least twice a day or more. These help put your attention on it. Visualize it 5 minutes.

Energy flows where attention goes. Focus on your goal, intensely. Imagine being it, doing it, and having it already. Enjoy and enhance those feelings. Be grateful for this. Believe you can make it happen. Be certain you will do it. Certainty, comes in time. It really does.

Fill Your Mind With Positive  Pictures And Your Life  Will Change

If you don’t already feel certain about it, stay with it. You will develop the certainty over time. Do it! It comes through daily commitment.  Delight in the creative process. Be glad you are a creator. Take charge. Make it happen. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
