Expert Reveals: You Have Been Hypnotized And Lied To – Wake Up!

“Consider this: there is what you know. There is what you know you know. There is what you know, you, don’t know. THEN, there is all the rest. There is everything you ACTUALLY don’t know, AND you don’t know, you don’t know it. That, we are completely clueless of.

Today, we take a break from our series to include this blog post on awareness and conditioning. Enjoy. We will return to and conclude our series shortly.

What we actually know is a very tiny sliver or piece.  A little larger portion is what we know we don’t know. Then, there is everything else we couldn’t possibly know, that we don’t know. ON top of that we are limited by what we think or don’t think.

Awareness Is Like The Sun When It Shines On Things They Grow

Our only limitations exist in our mind. In what we think we can or can NOT do. What we believe is possible for us, or not, versus what we believe is possible, or not, for others. Sometimes we think we could do it but no one else could, and vice versa.

One reason for this is we are expert hypnotists. Most people have hypnotized themselves into deluded limitations and act as if those are real.  They regularly hypnotize and suck in people around them too, to believe limiting things.

People are expert at hypnosis because they have been hypnotized (or conditioned) since birth. What they are not is elegant with it. They are not purposed or directed, rather they are like monkeys with machine guns. They just spray everywhere.

The First Step Toward Change Is Awareness

They simply spray the world with their limited thinking, believing all the while, they are correct about their beliefs. They believe they know what actual reality is. They think their circumstances are real. They experience those as the ‘real world’ but those aren’t.

They don’t know that it isn’t. They act as if the drama and the illusions they create for themselves are real. The dramas are hypnotized delusions that are not real, but they think they are. They buy into the drama and the troubles and the crap. The live as victims.

They don’t know their true power because from the beginning they were never told. They were told to be a worker bee, to work for 40 years, retire and die. They weren’t told they have choice and can determine their destiny. They weren’t given any clues to their power.

The Second Step Toward Change Is Acceptance

The brain works this way. What you look for you CAN find. If you seek it you will find it or evidence of it. It is, as you THINK it will be. What you say ordains it. You state it, assert it, declare it, and in doing so you create it in your results.

People operate unconsciously from habits given birth from the time they were born. Mostly, old habits that die hard. People operate from these believing they have choice. They may have SOME choice, but very little do they actually realize. Realization is the key.

We don’t experience much choice unless we work consciously to develop it. The first step is to develop awareness for what we do not know versus everything we do know and think we are correct about. It is a delicate game to become aware that you are aware.

As Our Awareness Grows We Grow And Transform

Change is not futile, it is eminently possible  but it means overcoming habits which die hard. Most people won’t change and will continue to live from their previously conditioned programming because they don’t know it could  be different for them.

They just don’t know it could be any different. Many won’t because they think it is too tough. If it is uncomfortable they won’t change unless forced. They won’t willingly leave their comfort zone to make a difference in their lives for themselves or others. Both reasons are why they  remain the same.

Both reasons come from our conditioning. 99.9% of us are run by automatic habits. 1/10 of 1% of us is conscious choice. The engine that drives our ‘everything’ is our unconscious, automated, habitual thoughts and behaviors run by our subconscious mind and is not easily subjected to our conscious control.

I Am And I Have Are Powerful Words …

Imagine a huge ship. The ship and the power source are 99.9%. The rudder that steers the massive vehicle is that 1/10 of 1%. That tiny little rudder is small by comparison to the rest of that huge machine.

It is what determines where the ship goes. It is small but it determines our direction. The rudder is our conscious awareness. The unconscious is the power that gets us there.

We have enormous power at our disposal, yet most people never realize that. Because they were conditioned to be the worker bee they never learn to harness and direct their full power.

They don’t steer the ship they only go where it goes. They aren’t in control. They lives are determined by the 99.9% that is automatic. They don’t use the 1% that they could.

Consider our ability to choose. Think of it this way. Imagine tying to get out of a huge prison through a tiny tunnel you make with a spoon. There is a lot of effort dedicated to break through or out.

It takes massive work and commitment. You really must want it or you will never keep going. To get free you can’t quit. You work and work and work!

… What You Put After I Am And I Have Shapes Your Reality

Outside the tunnel, on the other side, the area enlarges, it opens up. You are free. You are outside of the prison. Anything and everything is now available. You can enjoy and go anywhere.

Yet, many will return to where they were most comfortable and familiar. True for some, right? They got used to being within the walls so they get caught again.

However, the more you change the more change you can make. Once you recognize and become aware of that which binds you and imprisons  you you can work to be free.

You can do what necessary to get free. When you are finally FREE from the bondage; because YOU DECIDED to do something about it, the easier it is to continue making changes.

NOW changing becomes even easier! Once you get begin to change you can apply what you learned to make even more changes. You get exponential returns on your efforts once you begin the process.

Few people initiate the needed process to improve their lives but you can be one who does. You can break free from your prior limiting conditioning.

When You Have Think You Exhausted All Possibilities You Haven’t

To flee a burning house one needs to know it is burning. If one is not aware, one is not aware. If one smells smoke, realizes their is danger and acts to one can get to safety.

There are constraints on analogy but I assume you get what I mean. If one never notices the signal, doesn’t know there is danger, they may perish instead.

Once we are aware that we have reason to change, or need to change, we need to become aware that we CAN change. Some people realize they must change but don’t know they can change.

So they remain stuck. We need to realize change IS possible for us. Once we become aware that we CAN change, WE need to do something TO instigate that change.

We need to act in a manner that eventually brings us our desired results. Furthermore, we must CONTINUE to act in like manner until we get the intended results.

Eventually, we overcome our prior habits and learn new and better ones. We exchange the old for some good, new and better ones. Once free, we may realize we had been hypnotized.

Imagination Is More Important Than Knowledge

The first thing we need to change is our habitual thinking. We can get free of it if we want. If we realize we have choice. Mentors and coaches have told us this is possible for centuries.

We either begin to believe it or we don’t. If we don’t we remain the same. Some people hear and still don’t understand. The teacher appears when the student is ready.

The choice remains ours even when we don’t realize it is OUR choice. As some mystic once said, ‘everyone sleeps, everyone awakens but at different times’. Noone better than another.

People just sleeping and wake up at different times. So we need not judge those who remain the same. Take care of your self first. Let others be who they are.

Once we begin to wake up and realize we were sleeping we discover that our limitations are only dreams that had bound us. We can become aware of what is possible.

The more we explore what is possible the more we good we can discover. The more we seek the more we find. The brain, our Reticular Activating System (RAS) works this way, remember?

You Can’t Start The Next Chapter Of Your Life …

Once awake and making positive changes we can readily continue because the process gets easier the more we do it.  We have learned HOW to change. Skill comes of doing.

The more we do the more we can do. At first it seems tough. It may even seem impossible. That is the inertia we must overcome in the beginning. The tendency to do nothing, to resist.

Once we start keep at it until the new changes are wired in. It takes a minimum of 21 days repeated practice to make or break a habit. That is the bare minimum.

If your goal is to be free you will continue until you make the new thoughts and behaviors habit. Keep going and don’t quit. You will if you absolutely want it. If not, you’ll find excuses.

The goal is to overcome useless, chronic, negative, habitual thinking, feeling and actions that get you less than desirable results and exchange them for powerful, positive new automated thinking.

Exchange those for powerful, positive feeling and actions that enable you to be, do and have anything you want in life. In order to change you need to first know you must change.

… If You Keep Re-Reading The Last One

Exercise your choices and make decisions that serve and support you. Begin now by looking for and finding anything and everything you can feel grateful for. Acknowledge each of these.

Feel each fully and enjoy. Find everything you can to appreciate daily. Create a list. Add to it each day. Focus on your gratitude. As you do new worlds will open up.

Find lessons in challenges and obstacles, and in your hurts and woes, that  you didn’t previously realize were there. You will if you look. That is the job of the RAS.

Find positive reasons to keep going in spite of difficulty. As you do you will discover many other opportunities to be free and happier you didn’t know we available to you. Things open up!

You will gradually lighten up. These positive changes create more momentum so that changing positively becomes easier and easier. You’ll discover so much you never knew was wonderful within you.

You’ll discover it around you too. Focus on the good you will find so much more. This is because what we focus on actually expands. We discover and include more!

Expert Reveals: How To Easily Handle Your Problems And Woes

In the original 1925 version of ‘The Laws Of Success’, Napoleon Hill re-publishes an address by Major C A Bach to graduating military officers. You’ll find it in the chapter on Initiative and Leadership.

Of course, the entire essay, and the entire book are a most worthy and recommended read. I encourage you to locate and secure a copy for yourself. Today, I quote one line, from this wonderful essay.

Energy Flows Where Attention Goes

The Major stated, ‘Make light of your troubles, belittle your trials and you will help vitally to build up within your organization an esprit whose value in time of stress cannot be measured’.

There are many critical and relevant points made by Hill and Bach that can benefit all of us. One of the reasons Hill includes Bach’s words is because to be successful one must learn how to lead.

Before leading others, however, one must learn how to lead oneself. This is the most crucial understanding of this chapter in the book. Lead yourself well, be exemplary and others will gravitate to you.

You Get What You Focus On

Learn the power of self-initiation: how to begin, follow through and complete things, without being asked. Master both principles and you become more successful by becoming valuable to others.

All excellent points for certain. I point out this one sentence because I think the thought is critical when applied. It is a potent reminder on how to use your energy and why.

‘Make light of your troubles, belittle your trials…’ In other words, don’t take anything too seriously. is an important reminder! Do not focus on your problems.

Whatever You Think About Most You Become

Do not focus on your problems or exaggerate them, in your mind, to yourself OR to others. There are benefits that come with learning this practice. Great benefits too.

He stated, make light and belittle your problems and you will build up an esprit with your organization (or yourself) whose value is immeasurable in times of stress. Valuable now and valuable then.

When you learn and make this practice a habit then no matter what may come your way, in times of stress you are prepared. You are used to handling problems and seeing your way through them.

What You Say Is What You Get

Monitor your thoughts and self talk about problems. Be on guard what you think and say to yourself AND to those around you. ‘Make light and belittle’.

Why? Because you minimize their power in your mind. You shrink them down by not giving them energy. You put them in their proper perspective. No matter how large it is NO BIG DEAL.

Most people talk to anyone and everyone about their daily woes. They recount them to their family, to their co-workers, to the people they encounter during the day. They love the drama.

Make Light Of Your Troubles – Belittle Your Trials

Perhaps, they love the attention and probably the (feigned) sympathy it brings them. Beyond that they are comfortable doing it. They are acting out of habit. The habit is focusing on problems.

Energy flows where attention goes. What you focus on expands. What you think about you become. STOP talking about your problems. Put an end to your problems withdraw the energy.

Suck the oxygen out of them and let them die. Put your attention on that which better, more positively serves you. Notice however, he didn’t say ignore, he said make light and belittle. Perspective!

Skill To Do Comes From Doing

You can handle them. You are bigger then them. They are insignificant compared to you. Troubles come and troubles go. What is important are your blessings.

Adopt this attitude and mindset. Watch your talk. Only speak to bless, heal and prosper yourself and others. What you SAY is what you get.

What you assert, declare, focus on and repeat is what you get. So only say what you want. As long as you say what you have you will always have as you say. Your thoughts and words matter!

You Go Where Your Thoughts Take You

You are the author of your experience. You emphasize what is important every moment. You describe the situations, you add the detail when you speak. So monitor your mouth!

Only author what you want to include in your life. Focus on what you want. Do not focus on what you do not want. Put the energy into your blessings. Exaggerate the good minimize the bad. Get it?

Focus on all that you enjoy and delight in. Put your focus on who you are and not into the problems whether larger or small. Be the changes you want to include in your life. Be grateful and enjoy!

Decide What You Want – Determine How You Want It To Be

When you are able to make light and belittle you demonstrate to yourself and others you are in charge of yourself, your thoughts, your feelings, your behaviors, your problems, and your results.

You are the one calling the shots not the issues. You don’t allow circumstances to control you. You are not a cork bobbing helplessly in the water you act from a place of power and volition.

Speak only to bless, heal and prosper. Build things up, increase what is good, right and wonderful. Decrease what is not. Stop getting hooked by distractions. Learn from problems and challenges.

Speak Only To Bless Heal And Prosper

You grow strong through resistance. Instead of talking about how wrong things are, embrace problems for their potential to add to your development.  Talk about how right things are.

Keep your focus on the positive. Focus on what is good right now. Focus on what you appreciate. Focus on that which you want to create, make happen or attract. Stay tuned to the wonderful!

What you think about you bring about. Staying focused this way  will bring about the results you desire so much quicker than wandering off into your woes. You might amaze yourself how quickly it works.

Increase Or Decrease – Your Choice – You Decide

Distraction lead us astray and wastes valuable time. So if you are a complainer. STOP! Don’t beat yourself up. Just STOP complaining and start finding the good to accentuate. Accentuate the positive!

If you go hiking and you inadvertently leave the path, just gently nudge yourself back onto the trail without more complaining. Accept what was, and decide now what will be.

Then enjoy the present moment by looking for and finding all the good things to fill your moments and your mind with. Think, speak and accentuate those. Make it a habit! You and your life will positively transform when you celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Expert Reveals: Some People Live A Charmed Life – You Can Too!

They compare where they are to where they want to be. If they come up short they lose faith, doubt, feel bad, give up, or frustrated they try even harder and harder.

Either way can be an obstacle to becoming and having what you want. There is a nuance, a caveat to living and using the Law of Attraction or, as I prefer to think about it, being a deliberate creator.

Think Positive Be Positive And Positive Things Will Happen

So, I must say this, if you are a regular reader of my blog everything that has come before this post is relevant and applicable and will help you transform your life when you apply it correctly.

Information alone will never transform you. It is the correct application of information that becomes power and potential to change. Nothing less than using the material will bring change.

I want to point out. Some people know nothing of the law of attraction, they have never read a book or have seen a movie. They simply have an incredible life.

I’m Thankful For My Struggle – Through It I Found My Strength

They get what they want and are blessed in many ways. It seems magical, as if they naturally had a midas touch. Whatever they do seems to pay off well.

How is this possible? We will explore in a moment. First understand there is positive and negative, lack and plenty, up and down, thin and fat, fast and slow and other distinctions.

These are ways we divide the world that make sense for us. It is part of living in more than three dimensions. Time, space, and beyond. Some call it duality or polarity. The names don’t matter much.

Train Your Mind To See The Good In Every Situation

We can measure hot and cold, near and far. Our mind compares and contrasts. Realize however hot and cold are different degrees of temperature. Two aspects of the same thing.

Night and day are different aspects of a 24 hour cycle. Positive or negative are two sides of the same coin.  Each of the opposite ends of these are extremes. They may be infinite for all we know.

Some things we are able to measure finitely to the best of our measuring instruments. Size for example gets harder and harder as we move from our world to the subatomic.

Positive Or Negative It Is Your Choice

Opposites are part of the same thing. We divide them into near and far,  up and down to simplify our world. They are one thing. Whenever there is one there is at the very same time the opposite.

Somewhere in this world it is day and night simultaneously. The antarctic is cold while the Sahara hot. These notions are dualities. They are aspects of the same thing. I keep coming back to this point.

They are different sides of the very same coin. When you begin to think positive, negativity also exists. If you try to fight the negativity you only exaggerate it because you put your attention on it.

There Is Always Something To Be Grateful For

Whatever you focus on expands. You get more of what you focus on. The very thing you attempt to eliminate you get more of if you fight it. You become what you predominantly think about.

Understand it and accept it. Embrace it and let it go. It is part of life. There is nothing bad about it. It is what it is. It allows for some things and doesn’t allow for others.

If you focus on not having enough money, and put your attention on lack and debt you get more of the same. To change this you need to put your attention of what you can think, feel and do differently.

Thought Change Leads To Life Change

To succeed you first must feel successful and prosperous to create and attract the people, events and circumstances to make more money. You do it with the focus of your thoughts.

Keep this in mind. When you want something you don’t yet have what is your awareness on? Your attention goes into wanting what isn’t yet yours. You notice the gap, the distance.

You compare the future with now and come up lacking. This brings more of the lacking and comparisons. It doesn’t bring you what you want. It brings you more of not having it, yet. It brings more waiting.

Positive Mind – Positive Vibes – Positive Life

To have what you want to have you must be what you want to have in order to get more of the same. This can be a difficult concept for some to appreciate or it can be quite easily understood.

The law of attraction states you attract more of the same. Whatever you already are is what you attract back. You do not attract something you aren’t. If you want to attract gold you must be gold.

So if you want to be happy you must first become happy then you will attract more of the same. If you want success you must first become successful to get more of the same. Do you understand?

Be The Change You Want To See In The World

The same with wealth, health, and loving relationships. You want a loving partner become one first. You must be it to attract it. If you are not it first you won’t attract it. Like attracts LIKE.

Your first effort of mind must be becoming one with what you want to have. You must think and feel and be it first. You want more love you must BE love first ONLY THEN will you get more back!

The Law of Cause and Effect states if you want it you must cause it. You must be at cause and then you will experience the effects. This means it is not just going to happen for you.

Positive Things Happen To Positive People

It is not going to land in your lap without your involvement. You cause it to happen. You go first. You no one and nothing else but YOU. Most people don’t get this they put it on other sources.

Additionally, it means, combined with the Law of Attraction, everything you are and have right now or don’t have is, and has always been, up to you. You are already a creator and attractor.

You have always been creating and attracting whether you know it or not. You have always already been getting the results of your predominant thoughts. If you don’t like the results change thinking.

Believe It And You Will See It

The Law of Increase indicates that when you plant a seed you will get much more back in return. The fruit will bear many fruit with countless more seeds. You can experience exponential return.

Here’s where it gets really interesting. There are those, as previously mentioned, who without formal knowledge of these principles lived blessed or what appear to be charmed lives.

How is this possible? Why them and not you?  They, for whatever reason, grew up learning or stumbled upon that which works for them. Some people don’t think much they just feel happy.

What You Say Is What You Get

Their frames of mind, previously discussed, support them. They are as intelligent as you or I, but they don’t get caught up in over thinking and analyzing. They are busy enjoying life.

They accept things as they are. They don’t fight to get more or fight to resist lack. They accept what is and celebrate everything. They always seem to have enough.

Whatever they do they succeed at. They have great love and joy in their lives. Why? Because they seem to live filled with gratitude for the present moment.

The Greatest Weapon Against Stress…

They don’t compare with others. They don’t compete with others. They do what they do happily and are glad. What is most important to them is the love in their lives.

Family, friends, enjoyment, enjoying each other is important to them. Celebration and delight is a high priority.  Joy governs their lives. They look for the best and find it. They focus on the good.

Hardships come and go and they handle them and rebound because, first and foremost, they are filled with love, joy, support for each other, community, closeness, and more. They are connected.

… Is Our Ability To Choose One Thought Over Another

Their values, what is important to them, cause them to live blessed lives because they don’t notice the glass half empty. Why? Because they are too busy enjoying whatever is in the glass.

As an analogy you could say they are people who live in the light. Darkness flees from them. When in a dark room you don’t have to fight darkness you simply light a candle. They live in the light.

You could say their vibrations are high vibrations. Because they are living light and high vibrations they attract and create and get more back of the same exponentially. They attract more of who they are.

Talking About Problems Is Our Greatest Addiction …

Yes, they are charmed, but they are doing it! It is from the mindset, the attitude and the heart they live from. It is who they are and what they put their attention on.

It is determined by what they feel is important and they don’t get distracted by what they don’t have. They are the example of being first and doing and having.

They embody it and live it. Others have come to it through study and application. They arrive because they devote themselves to it and they learn and change and adapt on the journey.

… Break The Habit Talk About Your Joys

These latter creators, just like the former ones discussed, recognize that the journey is what is important. They don’t sacrifice the journey for the prize at the end. They enjoy each moment of it.

If you want a blessed life enjoy the journey. It is an adventure. Delight in everything it brings. When it brings joy, delight! When it brings hardship, delight.

You say, wait delighting in hardship is tough, not logical. You would be correct from where you come from. Those who live charmed lives don’t resist challenge  but embrace it and learn from it.

There Is No Time Like The Present – Begin Now

To those who have learned otherwise, all that can be said is, when the student is ready the teacher appears. When one is ready, anything is possible. You are ready when you ARE it.

Those who live it know it, those who don’t live it can’t know it yet. Some day perhaps, if they continue on they will. For now, it is a concept that may be difficult to grasp.

Many abandon a practice or discipline because the concept is difficult or the practice is difficult. All that can be said is, you get what you focus on. If you give up, you gave up.

The Kite Rises Against The Wind – Opposition Is Useful And Good

No harm no foul, that is what you did. If you change your mind later and want to resume, so be it. If not, so be it. Life will be whatever it is for you. You are always creating and attracting. Please realize this.

Making life wonderful starts with us. It begins inside us and no where else. Yes, the world goes on, you are part of it, one with all of it or separate and distinct from it.

Whatever you choose to believe will determine your results. It won’t change many things though. You may not know about or believe in the Law of Gravity but that doesn’t change the effect it has on you.

I Don’t Know The Way But I Will Be There Soon

Gravity effects you and the rest of the world. It operates whether you know about it or not. It operates whether you like it or not. You can’t change the fact that gravity is affecting us.

You will be affected and effected by what you know and don’t know. What you don’t know you don’t know. You don’t even know you don’t know it when you don’t know it. Nor do I. We can’t, can we.

The problem with most people is they think they know. They draw conclusions. Sadly, their ignorance is their undoing. They just keep missing until they don’t. To each their own. It changes nothing.

Promote What You Love Instead Of Bashing What You Hate

Those who have happy lives may continue to do so. Those who don’t may continue to miss out or they may change something and find happiness. Either way the world goes on as it always has.

Our mindset, your mindset, determines what you do and don’t do. What you have and don’t have. If you want more happiness become happy now. It begins with you and ends with you. You start it!

All the practices and approaches shared in these blog pages help you do that. THAT is WHY they are shared here. So you can learn what to do if you don’t know. So you can live a marvelously fulfilled life!

A Negative Mind Will Never Give You A Positive Life

Once you know about it that is a step in the right direction. Nothing will change unless you apply what you learn. To know and not to do is to not know. If it is to be for you it is completely up to you.

No one can do it for you. You make your life as it is, as it has been and as it will be. YOU have always been in charge, even if you didn’t know this, or if you haven’t acted as such. You are responsible.

You are always in charge. It is time to assume the responsibility and live as you want to. Become it! You have to GO FIRST to attract what you want. A great start is with total gratitude and appreciation.

Speak What You Seek – Until You See What You’ve Said

Remember, the old saying, where there is a will you will find a way. You can do this and will if you truly want to. Begin now. Find out what you can begin to really appreciate and fill yourself with true gratitude. Feel it fully. Enjoy it delight in each moment! Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

“You know what a frame of mind is, right? There are useful frames and not so useful ones. Positive ones and negative ones. Supportive ones and non-supportive frames of mind. Which is yours?

Choose useful ones. Choose frames that serve you to live better, more joyously, to succeed in you career or job, to increase your wealth, enjoy fabulous health and loving, caring relationships.

You Become What You Think About

We adopted frames of mind, beliefs, attitudes and values from others as we grew up. Some conclusions we came to from our own experience combined with the previously co-opted thoughts.

We think, we think originally most of the time, yet sadly, we think mostly the same things over and over again, most of the time. There is room for new thought and we have some.

Mostly we think, feel, live and act from habits. Some have told you your paradigms keep you trapped. They may, certainly, they could. Some have led you to believe that you can sabotage yourself.

What You Focus On Expands

Some have told you perception is everything. You may or may not believe it is true. Whatever you believe, from previous habit, or from free choice determines how you live, feel and move in the world.

If you believe you paradigms can trap you then most likely they will. If you believe you can sabotage yourself then you will mostly act as if you could. Your perceptions are everything and determine much.

Have you ever seen the face of a friend in a crowd? You look and wow, sure enough, there is your friend. You didn’t expect to see them there, perhaps they weren’t even on your mind.

You Get What You Focus On

You rush to make your way to them, fighting the crowd. When you get up close to say hello you discover it isn’t your friend at all. You saw the face you thought it was, but it wasn’t.

Our mind does that to us. Perception is everything. If you think it is likely you will succeed at something it is more likely that you will. You may not, but it is far likely than if you don’t think it is.

Positive thinking doesn’t guarantee your success. There are other things, up to you, to insure success, but negative thinking certainly doesn’t. You don’t get uphill, easily, thinking down hill thoughts.

Energy Flows Where Attention Goes

So what frames of mind do you use? Do you think you can or do you think you can’t? Henry Ford said you are right either way. It is up to what you believe. You will only go as far as your thoughts take you.

Do you think you are successful or not? Are you happy or not? Are you healthy or not? Are you able to learn or not? Are you smart or stupid? What do you think about yourself?

Are you worthy or not? Do you deserve riches or not? Is the world an abundant place or not? Is there more than enough for everyone or not? Is the world tough or easy to live in?

Success Is A Decision A Commitment A Promise A Mindset

Your attitude, your beliefs, your ‘frame’, your perceptions determine what you will do and not do. They will determine how you feel, and what actions you take or not. They determine how far you go.

Even if you have limiting beliefs and frames you can change them! You change them the same way you learned them in the first place. You hear them or say them over and over again until they take hold.

The more emotion you put into saying them the sooner you will believe them. You condition your mind in this fashion. You fill your mind with what you want to believe instead. You change your focus.

You Can Have Anything – If You Give Up The Belief You Can’t 

You become what you focus on most of the time. Watch and listen, to positive, inspirational, motivational materials. Surround yourself with positive messages you want to believe instead. Immerse!

Think and say and act the way you want to be. Declare it so. Affirm it powerfully! Chant these with intense emotion. Have fun. Be and feel powerful. Determine you will be what you say you will be!

Decide to be it! Keep repeating and doing and it gets easier. It will take some time. It isn’t going to happen over night because you have so many competing distractions and old habits to overcome.

Always Believe Something Wonderful Is About To Happen

YOU WILL SUCCEED IF YOU KEEP AT IT! You won’t if you try it for awhile and quit. Stick with it! Make the changes you want, yours changes. Own it. Live it. Eat it. Drink it. Sleep it. Breath it.

If you want it badly enough you will have it. If you MUST have it you will. If you KNOW inside with certainty YOU CAN DO IT you will do it. Why wouldn’t you? Declare it! Command It. Own Your Decisions!

If you must have it you will make it happen.

Let’s explore what is and what isn’t a useful frame of mind. You might think, ‘I can fly without a plane’. Okay, if that is what you believe the stand on the ground and practice flying up. Don’t get up high to begin with. Stay low and take off safely.

The Only Limits You Have Are The Limits You Believe

I don’t think that is the wisest frame of mind but someone always asks ‘what if I believe I can fly without a plane?’ Duh. Can god create  a rock so big he can’t lift it up? Get it?

Somethings aren’t that useful to ponder. Fun perhaps. Useful frames of mind help you live better, not stupider, nor should they lead you to get hurt. They are USEFUL! I’ll give you another example.

‘I can do anything’. That is a great belief to have. ‘I am confident’. Awesome.  Great, let’s go for a 100 foot high tight rope walk. While I can do anything and I am confident, I don’t know how to walk one.

To Succeed You First Must Believe You Can

I could begin by believing I can learn to walk a tightrope easily. I can believe I can succeed at walking the tightrope no matter how difficult. I am confident with practice I can become accomplished.

I c an even believe I can become the best tightrope walker ever. I want my beliefs to be big and to support my efforts learning to walk a tightrope.

I do not, however, want to attempt walking the tightrope until I clearly know how. The way one learns is by walking the rope on the ground. Then a few inches off the ground, then a few feet.

Believing In Yourself Is The First Secret To Success

One works up to the higher heights after accomplishing the lower ones first. Progress is made inch by inch.  We will get there. Thinking you are the best and the greatest is fine.

Eventually, you want to be able to back it up. You don’t just want to be a bragger. Confidence without actual competence isn’t good. However, in order to begin you may need to develop competence.

Adopt frames of mind that help you be what you want to be and get what you want to get. None of them are true or untrue all the time. Consider them useful templates.

There Is No Truth There Is Only Perception

You use these templates to more readily and easily make changes. These frames are how we perceive ourselves and the world. Use them to your advantage. Don’t let lies prevent you from excelling.

Beliefs change. At one time you believed in monsters under the bed, later you didn’t. You may have believed in certain holiday figures bringing you gifts on those occasions. Now you believe differently.

You have changed beliefs. You can adopt new useful ones that help you live how you want to live. If you are having money trouble and think you are in debt and will never get out, how is that serving you?

We Can Complain Because Rose Bushes Have Thorns …

It serves to keep you broke and in debt. Do you get it? On the other hand IF you say ‘never again, I am done being broke’ you can use that less than glorious circumstance as the impetus for change.

Once you do, you must change your focus from ‘i’m broke and will never’ to ‘I can learn new ways to make money. I can get out of debt. Money flows to me. I find opportunity everywhere I look’.

‘The world is abundant and I deserve money just like everyone else. Money is my friend. I am a great learner. I take action. I can live debt free. I am in charge of my finances’.

… Or We Can Rejoice Because Thorn Bushes Have Roses

‘I learn to manage my money well and make wise investments. I can grow my money. I am rich and live an abundant lifestyle’. Imagine in your mind all this being true. Imagine being rich.

Imagine living how you want, in the house you want, with the cars. You have the career or job you want and all the trappings that come with success. See it, hear, it, feel it, smell it, taste it. Fully imagine it!

Describe it out loud. Write it in your journal. Do this every day. Imagine a friend comes along as says, ‘wow congratulations, you did it! How? What did you do?  Tell me!’

The Happiest People Don’t Have Everything …

Tell him how you did it. Speak it out loud. Journal it. What was the first things you thought? What first steps did you take that led you to where you are today? Describe the process.

Then what did you do? What obstacles did you face and how did you overcome them? Author your success story. See it and write it as you see fit. Imagine the process in your mind’s eye in detail.

As you do this exercise, again and again, you tap into your inner creativity. You locate your inner resources. Your intuition comes to your air. Your brain’s Reticular Activating System (RAS) assists you.

… The Happiest People Make The Best Of Everything

Your RAS looks for matches and evidence from your past. It also scours your present circumstances looking for matches in your outer world to help you create the results in reality.

Put on your best mindset because that is what unleashes the power within you to change. This power if what helps you make happen what you want.

From this powerful, positive thinking and positive emotions comes your ability to align your skills and abilities to act congruently and make your goals happen. You achieve them!

Right Now You’re Looking At The Results Of Your Past Creations …

Your frame of mind determines how far you reach and whether you reach at all. This is critical for you to know. You can change your frames from not supportive to supportive.

You can change from wimpy to powerful; from negative to positive, from lack and decrease to increase and prosperity. You decide how it will be because of your attitude and mindset. You are doing it.

God or no god? One or many? Universe or nature? Random or intelligent? Law Of Attraction or Nothing? Frames of mind. Might they be true. Sure. Might they be false, sure.

… And Right Now How You Feel Is Creating Your Future

All of these concepts are frames of mind, too. Which works best for you? Choose the one that stretches you the most and helps you fulfill your purpose on the planet. Which is most meaningful to you?

Which brings out the best in you and helps you live in harmony and abundantly? For some it will be a personal god for others an infinite intelligence.

For some it will be mystical and magical made for others reasonable or scientific. These are ways of perceiving the universe. Are they the right or only way? Who knows? They are different ways.

If You Continue To Talk About The Drama You Don’t Want …

Some will argue only their way is the right way WHICH is another frame of mind. Some will argue none are correct and everyone who thinks they are, is deluded. Another frame of mind.

My job as author of this blog is not to decide for you, others have already done that. My job is to expose you to life changing opportunity and let you make the decision.

You decide which frame of mind you want to use. Try them on. See if you can leave your comfort zone. Nothing comes from being comfortable but good relaxation and rest. Get out of your comfort.

… You Will Continue To Attract It Into Your Life

Try some new things. Explore. Adventure! Have fun. Attempt seeing the world in new and different ways. Be the person you always wanted to be and notice what that feels like. Awesome, right?

Choose frames of mind that lead to success. A successful person doesn’t doubt oneself. A successful person knows that s/he will make happen whatever is needed at the right time.

S/he will create it or find it or attract it. The successful person never thinks s/he can’t do the impossible s/he just does it. ‘If I want it I make it happen. I will get it or have one. I will find a way’.

Focus All Of Your Energy On Building The New

Imagine living from that frame. Imagine being certain you will succeed because you decide you will. Because you believe in yourself, your thoughts, your feelings and your actions.

Because you believe in yourself you will keep going until you achieve what you set out to do. Obstacles are part of the process NO big deal. Making your fortune is a fun game to play in life. One of many.

What if you had these thoughts? You can. Just because you never did before doesn’t mean you can’t now. It means if you want them YOU must implement them. You must activate them.

When You Fill Your Mind With Positive Thoughts You Will Change

If you want it bad enough you will. If not you will make excuses. Life is great. What if you were grateful for every single thing, good or bad. You learned from challenges and embraced them. Life is good.

You are thankful and appreciative and filled with joy and enthusiasm for each moment of everyday. Life is glorious and you get to experience it with others. Imagine how incredible to feel this way.

What if you felt this way all the time? You can if you believe you can. If you don’t yet it doesn’t mean you can’t ever. Your beliefs determine how far you will go. Adopt useful ones and live from those. Enjoy everything. Learn from it all. Be in charge and make things happen because you decide to. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

There’s A Big Difference Between Wishing And Being Ready To Receive It!

“Napoleon Hill said, ‘There’s a difference between wishing for a thing and being ready to receive it. No one is ready for a thing until he believes he can acquire it. The state of mind must be belief, not mere hope or wish.’

You must eventually come to realize you are the true author of your life. No one else is. You determine what it is like now and what it will be like in the future. Whatever is Is going to be according to you. You decide it. You create it. You, YOU, make it happen.

The Brain Is As Strong As Its Weakest Think

Take responsibility and write your life book. Line by line, page by page, chapter by chapter. Be the author of your experience. Responsibility is the critical factor. Assume responsibility for your life and everything that happens to you good or not so good.

Accept that you are the creator of your life. Imagine yourself as the potter and your life the clay. Shape and fashion it into what you want. Make what you want. If you don’t you will always live a life of other’s left overs. If you don’t design it who will? YOU MUST DO IT!

You are the designer, the architect, you draw the blueprints. You  are the engineers, and the plumbers and the electricians and the construction workers who build what you drew. You dream it and bring it into being through your actions.

Conceive It Believe It And You Can Achieve It

I know what you are thinking. You are thinking what if something bad happens to me, did I create it?  The best answer is, whether you actually did or did not, whether it is ordained from on high, or completely random or accidental, act as if you did.

Don’t be a victim of whatever circumstances come your way. Use the good and bad times to learn and grow. Bad times may be more difficult to do that with, at first, maybe always. The key is to learn and grow. Go on in life not letting anything stop or get you down.

What about down times and unhappy times? The same applies. Accept them. Theses are part of life. Learn to accept what is and go through them without getting stuck in them. Day gives way to night and night gives way to day. You will get through them. Trust!

You Get What You Focus On

Allow, learn, grow and move on when appropriate. Learn to be flexible. Learn to look for the silver lining in the dark clouds. Learn to count your blessings when faced with troubling times. There is always a reason to be grateful, no matter what happens.

When you take responsibility for everything you begin to understand that you have choice. You have decisions to make. You are not a victim. You can be a victor. You are ‘at cause’ not ‘at effect’ of the situations. You are in control without being a control freak.

A great leader said, when told that circumstances weren’t the best for his army to win the battle, ‘Circumstances, hell, I make the circumstances. I dictate the circumstances!’ Let this be you. Become aware of your power to choose and to respond.

There Are Two Ways Of Meeting Difficulties …

As you take control of your thoughts and feelings you realize you are in charge. To be in charge means to be responsible. Accept it, and author your life as you want it to unfold. Conceive it, believe it and you can achieve it is what Hill said.

Okay, I will tell you the truth. Are you ready for this? YOU are ALWAYS in charge whether you know it or not. YOU are ALWAY responsible. Your results come from your thoughts, feelings and actions. YOU cannot NOT be in charge. If your results suck …

Then change it. Learn how to be in charge and make things work for you. You must change what you are doing and what you are focused on. Accept the fact that you are in charge and responsible. Great power comes with this realization. GAME CHANGER ALERT!

… You Alter The Difficulties Or You Alter Yourself Meeting Them

For much of my life I was terrific at getting what I didn’t want. I was awesome at it and it was painful. I complained, and whined and moaned and suffered. UNTIL I realized what a powerful creator I already was. THEN it was just a matter of learning good taste.

It was a matter of creating what I wanted instead of what I didn’t want. I had to switch up what I was doing. I had to be real clear about who was in charge and who was responsible for the results I was getting. Once clear, I could move forward getting better results.

Do you understand this critical point? You’re already the author of your life. You’re getting precisely what you’re getting because of your current thoughts, feelings and actions. If you want it different you have to be different. You’re still the author writing differently.

You Are Today Where Your Thoughts Brought You

When it comes to your desires you must want it very badly. You must want it more than anything else. That separates your want, your desire from a mere hope or wish. You must believe you can bring about whatever it is you want to bring about. FAITH!

If you think, ‘I can’t’, or ‘I never could do that’, or ‘yeah, right’, then you have some more work to do. If you react to what is proposed from your old conditioning that is a clue, that if you want to, you have the opportunity to work on developing new beliefs.

Of course, you can choose to keep the ones you have thought so far. Some of them have served you quite well. It is your choice. It is ALWAYS YOUR choice. If you noticed you reacted as you always have then perhaps you want to learn to respond rather than react.

You Will Be Tomorrow Where Your Thoughts Take You

To respond means there is a gap, a choice, a moment when you decide instead of merely act from habitual old chronic conditioning. You are learning to control your thoughts so that you can better respond to situations and events and people.

You are learning to respond in that gap rather than to react from old habit and programming as an robot would. To respond means you pause and respond appropriately with the needs of the situation in mind. To react is a knee jerk. You do whatever you always do.

This brings up the concept of freedom and freedom of choice or will. What choice do you have if you habitually pick the same things 99.9% of the time because you were conditioned to do that growing up. Little to none, right. You always do what you always do.

You Cannot Escape The Power Of Your Thoughts

You are on automatic making choices those who helped program you would have made. You are living out of your previous conditioning. That requires no thought at all because it is habit. You are thinking, feeling and acting from old habit. You’re on automatic.

Don’t you think you deserve to make the choices? You are worthy to make the choices. Don’t you think you at least deserve a shot at making them? I certainly do. By the way to be worthy you have to think you are worthy. Think yourself worthy. You are worthy.

It starts with your thinking, remember. If you don’t feel you deserve it begin to change your thinking so you do. Begin to affirm and assert and declare that you are worthy. You are absolutely worthy and deserving of all good things. You are worthy to learn to choose.

The Choices We Make Determine Our Destiny

I will reduce the percentages. What if 90% of the time you are on automatic? How about 75% of the time? Let’s reduce it further, 50, 40, 10% of the time. Which is acceptable to you and why? At what point does not being able to choose become okay?

At what point does being able to choose more often become okay?Consider that? How much freedom and choice do you want for yourself? How much do you think is reasonable? How much will you claim for yourself?

Whatever your answer is IS what you think it is. You answer is a product of your thoughts. Good or bad, right or wrong, positive or negative, it is your thinking and concluding. I know this is similar to a snake eating its tail. Our thoughts are our thoughts. Be aware!

Your Life Is A Result Of The Choices You Make …

If you don’t like your answers change your thinking. If you like your answers don’t change unless your answers are excuses, blames or whining. Then maybe you should want to change your thinking. You go where your thoughts take you, remember. Thoughts are things.

You can most likely have everything you want in life if you prepare your mind, condition it well, and take the right actions. It begins inside the mind and feelings. Thinking and feeling determine the actions you take. Your actions determine your results.

You don’t have to hurt anyone else. You can co-operate and celebrate with others. You can get what you want and they can too. You can live in a world that works beautifully. You can work in harmony with others. They accomplish their dreams and you yours.

… If You Don’t Like Your Life – Start Making Better Choices

You can discover how abundant and wonderful everything is. This world is absolutely incredible. It is a most marvelous. How you experience it is completely up to you. You either see all the good and the joy, or the human made darkness. It’s whatever you focus on.

It starts within you. It starts with your thoughts and where they lead you. It begins, as Hill said, in the imagination. You first conceive of it. Then you believe you can make it happen and that you will make it happen come what may. You want it and you know you will have it.

Then you take action and you keep going until you achieve it. You start before you are ready. You begin and keep moving forward all the while learning how. You attempt things as Edison did until you get it right, learning all the time. You keep the faith and keep moving.

You Always Have Choice And The Choice Is Always Yours

You are aligned. You are congruent. All of your inner resources working together to accomplish this. Your thoughts and feelings. Your talents and abilities. Your prior experiences provide learning and experience and more necessary for your progress.

Because your inner resources are aligned you are better able to allocate the outer resources necessary to bring it about, the people, the finances, the conditions to make it happen. Keep in mind that birds of a feather flock together. You attract like people and events.

From within to without. Believe it first and you will see it. Your brain will look for examples and matches and evidence for how this is true and how this is possible. If you don’t believe it your brain will do the same work but in the opposite direction.

When You Are In Alignment Circumstances Matter

So get free. Use your brain for the change you want. Gather your resources. Work as a team consciously and unconsciously on the inside and then find the team you work with on the outside. The inner game becomes an outward one at the same time.

What you are already on the inside is reflected and radiated outward every moment. Every atom and every cell of you is a broadcasting station. People can see, hear and feel if you are happy or sad, weak or powerful. You demonstrate who you are always!

Be the author of your life. Be a powerful, positive, deliberate creator who intentionally thinks and designs your life in the wonderful and glorious ways you see fit. Remember, to delight and celebrate and be grateful, and to create a world where you and others all benefit.

Be At Cause – Be One With Your Purpose – Be Relentless

There is plenty for all and all can win. As you do this you attract others who feel and do the same. Together you can create great things. Together we can make the world more wonderful one person at a time.

It is already incredible and we can add to that. Create yourself!  Fill yourself with incredible joyous life, laughter, and love. Enjoy great health and great wealth and everything wonderful. Be grateful, enjoy and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

We use the very same method we were first programmed by. Instead of less than glorious messages and feelings we now deliberately provide it the positive messages we wish we would have gotten the first time around.

Energy Flows Where Attention Goes

Yes, we can change any thought, feeling or behavior. We can change and learn to get better, positive more successful results in our life. It is simple and most of the time it is easy. It is not easy all the time. It takes application and dedication.

You can’t quit and expect things to be any different. They won’t be. They will be the same as always because your brain will insure you remain consistent. With dedication and perseverance, however, there comes that tipping point you can take advantage of.

There will come that time when the old gives way to the new. Keep going. Yes, you have arrived and you have to keep going! Once you arrive at the tipping point it will get easier and easier because you create momentum for change. Change is easier and faster then.

Whether You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You’re Right

If you have ever changed residences you may have found yourself taking the route back to the old residence shortly after your move. Your brain knew the old way and wants to keep taking it at first, until your brain learns and remembers the new one.

You don’t lose or forget the previous address you just now know to go to the new one instead. You still have a choice which to go to. As you learn new behaviors your choices increase. Your talents and abilities increase. You upgrade yourself and up-level your life.

Why do most people fail? They quit. It is over and done. They make excuses, blame themselves, others and the world. Or they don’t take the first step. THE VERY FIRST STEP  we all need to take to do better and guarantee our success is to take control of our mind.

You Become What You Think About Most Often

This missing first step IS why so many fail to change. Attitude and mindset, what you think and believe, determine what you feel and the kind of actions you take and the type of results you get. It all begins with the appropriate mindset. Most don’t prepare well.

That is why Henry Ford said,  ‘Whether you think you can or you think you can’t you are right!’ Condition your mind for change. Prepare the soil for planting and harvesting the seeds. Get control of your thoughts and feelings. Develop a powerful basis for change.

Positive thinking is not wishful thinking it is powerful thinking. Those who say ‘and this is not positive thinking’ as if thinking positive is a bad thing are wrong! Your mind is the one thing you can control for certain in this life. You either think negative or positive.

You Get What You Focus On

If you don’t like the results you are getting in your life right now realize there will not be any change if you don’t change your thinking. Your brain will insure things remain the same for you to be consistent. You will continue to do what you have always done.

You will get what you have always got! That is the truth. That is the way it is.  You won’t be different unless you think different things. Your life won’t be more positive and better unless you think more positive and better things. Want to change? Change your thinking!

If you want it to be different in the future you must think things differently now. You are where your thoughts brought you tomorrow you will be where your thoughts today take you. Right now you are where you are because of previous, prior thinking.

Whatever You Nurture Is What Tends To Grow

If today’s thoughts are the same as those yesterday and the day before and the day before that, well then, you will get what you have always got. Most of us THINK we think lot’s of different thoughts. Research states we think mostly the same thoughts again and again.

Yes, there is some variation. Life circumstances change, we learn new info and have different discussions BUT we react mostly the same. We think the same things, the same way, we say the same things in different conversations, we don’t change much.

We are habitual, reliable and routine. We think, feel, say, act and do the same things over and over most of the time but we think we are freely thinking and acting differently. We are not. We are on automatic and very robot like. Sad, but it is true. We are automated.

Old Habits Die Hard – But They Do Die

Do you get it yet? If you want things to be different change your thinking. That is the first step. When you change your thinking your feelings will change in alignment to what and how you are thinking. To be truly different you have to think truly different.

If your life isn’t what you want it to be it is because of your thinking and acting it is not the government, the weather, your parent’s fault even if you think it is. Even if they were contributing factors unless you take responsibility and think and do differently it’ll be the same.

If you don’t like the results you have been getting you need to change your thoughts and what you focus on. You need to get your energy and attention moving in a different direction.  You must realize and accept this first in order for change to begin.

You Can Do Anything When You Learn How

Negative thoughts produce negative feelings. Positive thoughts produce positive feelings. Negative thoughts rarely make you feel happy and successful. Positive thoughts can contribute to you feeling happy and successful. It is a choice you have to make.

What do you want more of? To get more of what you want is dictated by where you spend most of your time. If you want to be happy but are mostly negative you will not be happy. Do you understand this? If you want to be happy you must think happy.

You must spend most of your time thinking and feeling and saying and doing that which brings happiness about. It doesn’t work any other way. People think something will happen and then they will be happy. It doesn’t, and if it does occasionally it is temporary only.

If You Always Do What You Always Did …

Lottery winners are happy for a short while but most of them return to the lifestyle prior to winning the lottery. Broke! Why? Because their habits don’t change. They spend as they always did. They think as they did when they weren’t rich.

They return to their conditioning. Temporarily, they got a big bump. Their happiness meter went up with their bank account. Sadly, they both plummet pretty soon. WHY? Because they aren’t in charge of their happiness or wealth. They aren’t in charge of their thinking.

If you want to be different you must think, feel and act different long enough for it to become habit. If you learned successful thinking and money management strategies, learned to feel and live wealthy, then, if you won the lottery you would be better prepared to keep it.

… You Will Always Get What You Always Got

Otherwise, it is likely you’d end up like the rest. The odds are in favor of returning to the previous life style. If mind set doesn’t change you don’t change. If you want to be happier don’t wait to be happy, don’t expect it to come from the outside. Begin now within.

Take hold of your thinking and do what is necessary to get it under control. Take charge. Think positive repeatedly. Read positive books. Surround yourself with positive people and mentors. Chant powerfully, positive, inspiring affirmations. Take action inside!

When you feel in charge and on top of the world, and you feel as if you can accomplish anything because you believe in yourself and your ability to learn whatever is necessary to succeed, then the magic happens. It really does happen, only its not magic.

The Definition Of Insanity Is Doing The Same Thing …

Then you begin to take the right actions that make success much more likely. It is mindset first and feelings follow. Your feelings determine your actions and your actions determine your results. That is the way it is. Repeat after me. Seriously, repeat it.

Mind to feelings. Feelings to actions. Actions to results. That is the cycle. If your mind is positive you get positive feelings and take positive actions which leads to better results. Then you feel good again as you acknowledge the results of your actions.

Feeling good makes you want think positive and feel even better. This cycle spirals upward, do you get it? The more you do the more you can do. You continue to bring about positive thoughts, feelings, actions and results because they add to each other.

… Over and Over Again But Expecting A Different Result

What if you get some not so good results or obstacles? You learn from them, take the feedback, adjust whatever it is you need to, your thoughts, feelings or actions and continue on again, repeating as necessary, until you get what you wanted. You don’t quit.

The opposite side of the spiral up equation is true, too, and you could spiral downward. That is what far too many are already doing. They use the same formula I am proposing but negatively. So they screw themselves up and out of good things.

They have been doing this forever. They can learn to do things differently but they must want to. They must first become aware  and become willing to change. Then they need to do what you and I need to do. Make the changes. Take action and follow through.

The More You Do The More You Can Do

You don’t have to live in the dark side. Walk in the light. Take control of your thoughts and feelings. Take charge and be in control. Stop blaming yourself and start appreciating yourself for all the cool things your brain does for you. It truly is marvelous. Make it a friend!

Beyond beating your heart, circulating your blood, filling your lungs and a myriad of other beneficial things it does for you it helps you win or lose depending on what you  tell it to do. If you aren’t getting the results you want you aren’t speaking the language it does.

Whatever You Want To Do With Ease … 

Learn the brains language and use it. Your subconscious has to ‘get it’ and ‘know’ what you want in order to carry out what you want. You can speak all day to a waiter in a language the waiter doesn’t understand and what is the likelihood you will get what you desire?

Speak your brains language. Positive self talk AND positive feelings is how it understands. It is the FEELINGS you feel most often and the strongest the brain responds to most. You have to begin feeling things, even when you don’t, to signal the brain to respond.

That is the trick to learning control. You have to learn to do it, in some cases, by sheer force of will, in order to begin making it a habit. For example. Motivation comes from doing. You don’t feel like doing something, anything, like cleaning your room, so you never will.

… You Must First Learn To Do With Diligence

You wait and wait but don’t feel like it. However, if you start cleaning your room, even though you don’t feel like it at first, once you begin you are more likely to continue. The motivation comes from beginning the process. Sometimes you don’t feel a certain way.

You wake up feeling dumpy and down. Get up, stand up, chant your powerful affirmations, jump up and down if you have to. Laugh, sing, giggle, do whatever it takes, to change your emotional state from down to up. When you do this YOU ARE IN CHARGE!

You took control, you changed what you were thinking and feeling and doing by chanting your new positive thought affirmations and doing whatever it took to feel good while chanting. THAT is taking charge. The more you do it the more the habit will develop.

If You Really Want To Do Something You Will Find A Way …

You want to develop the habit of being in charge of your thoughts, your feelings and actions. THEN you will get better results. BUT you must first learn to make this a habit. If you do not everything will remain as it is. You won’t be in charge everything else will be.

DO you understand this? The powerful uplifting emotions you generate while chanting the affirmations IS what the brain recognizes most. Then it thinks ‘OH This is what you want, I get it ‘ and it looks for matches. It produces more! Like attracts like.

Get it? You have to initiate and maintain the process until the brain gets it. It learns from extreme emotions negative or positive. If you want more positivity and happiness in your life then you must provide those to your brain to begin with.

… If You Don’t You Will Find An Excuse

There are two dogs fighting inside you? Said the old man. ‘Two dogs live within you and are constantly fighting.’ ‘Which one wins”‘ asked the young boy. ‘Whichever one you feed.’ was the reply. What are you feeding your brain? Positivity or Negativity. YOUR choice!

You must continue the process until the brain gets it. Just like learning to ride a bike, or anything you have learned to do. You use spaced correct repetition through time. You do the correct things repeated over and over long enough until it becomes habit.

If you don’t feel like learning to ride a bike you most probably never will. So you won’t develop the habit of bike riding. To become a  bike rider you must first make yourself feel like doing it, you must put yourself in the mood. You must think you enjoy it or need it to do it.

You Go Wherever Your Thoughts Take You

You may need to pump yourself up at first. You might have to do that military boot camp style ‘HooHAA’ until you do it. Chant, use discipline, get a tough love coach who will get in your face until you do. Think the thoughts ‘I am a fabulous bike rider,’ ‘I love this!’

Because unless you actually eventually get on the bike you will never learn how to do it. You must motivate yourself since it is unlikely anyone else would bother. If you wait to be inspired you will wait forever. YOU take charge if it is something you want.

DO you understand this example? Everything begins and ends with you! Not in a narcissistic egotistical way but in the way that matters if you want better results in your life. If you want to be happier, healthier, wealthier, enjoy more loving relationships and more.

Thoughts Are Things

Affirmations and visualization with powerful positive emotions are the way you program the brain. Repeat and repeat. Keep going and don’t quit. You will get there eventually. How long? Who knows but you will. Enjoy the journey along the way. Attitude is everything!

Enjoy the journey because many wonderful things will become available to you as you progress. Keep your eye on the prize but also notice all the other cool things going on around you as you make your changes. Appreciate everything. Have fun! Enjoy it all!

Align with yourself, be respectful of you and your subconscious. Love all of you even when it seems in conflict. Pat yourself on the back either way. You did whatever you did. If you screwed up so what? Stop the judgements. Carry on positively. Learn to let go.

When in conflict seek to communicate and co-operate not fight and negate. Don’t add insult to injury instead create harmony. Work together for a change. Get it? Work together for a change! Great things are in store for those who will. Open your eyes to take it all in.

Expert Reveals You Can Eliminate Self Sabotage Forever!

“You can learn to eliminate self-sabotage. You  can eliminate it forever. You can free yourself up to make permanent, positive changes. The  first step is to become aware that you must change. From there nearly anything is possible if you believe it is possible.

Welcome to Part 13 of The Secret To Success And Happiness Few Know And Won’t Tell You. The series continues and this post continues from the previous two. Part 14 tomorrow. Let’s go!

Once you become aware that you need to change then you go through a process. It continues until the new change is reliably in place. This takes as long as it takes. It is as easy or hard as it is, or as you think it is. Your mindset determines much of  everything.

When you begin to change you don’t want to set up a contentious, oppositional fight with yourself.  You don’t want to create resistance. You want to align you resourcefulness. You want to be of one mind and congruent, not conflicted.

You Can Do Whatever You Believe You Can Do

This is why what you believe is possible is important. You want to establish a respectful relationship between your brain and your new desire. You want to align you conscious and subconscious minds for the changes and have them work together, not oppose each other.

Both are correct. Your subconscious wants to do what it knows to do and run on and on the patterns it has learned so well. It remains faithful and consistent. Your conscious mind wants new change to get better results and to feel better in life. Both are correct.

You consciously want to replace the old ways with something new. The easiest way is to honor the old. Be grateful. Thank yourself for working  perfectly. Some people want change so much they resent themselves. They think they sabotage themselves, remember.

It Is All A Mind Game – You Play On The Inside

Insulting yourself adds injury not better co-operation. I am describing this as is your subconscious cares. It doesn’t but consider this. Treat it as if it did. Act as if you are trying to gain the cooperation of a friend, make it an ally and not fight with it.

Get used to respecting all of you instead of thinking about yourself as trying to screw things up. Manage you self-talk and images, keep them positive. Think ‘what you want’ not what you don’t want. Understand? Pretend, it is a person you want to work with you!

It is you! And you have learned many things. Your goal is to line them up, all working together, pursuing the same goals and dreams. Think about people in a boat all sitting and facing in the same direction rowing at the same time to get somewhere.

You Have Learned To Do So Many Marvelous Things

It works better when they work together that way then independently at different times creating opposition. Get it? Your goal is to get yourself, your thoughts, your feelings, your actions together on the same page, congruent, cooperating. Together!

Consider that computer hardware can work perfectly well even if the software has a few bugs. You may not get the results you want due to the software but the hardware works as it is supposed to. Your brain works as it is supposed to. Stop complaining.

Acknowledge it works well. Be grateful. Respect it. Love yourself for it. For goodness sake don’t dis it! Be glad. Enjoy, Celebrate. Be thankful old habits die hard and you live consistently. Be thankful your learning lasts and you carry out what you learned to do.

It Is All About Learning To Learn And To Grow And To Change

Be thankful you can learn anything. You have already. You have learned positive and negative, useful and useless things. YOU can learn ANYTHING! Celebrate this. You can learn the new positive change you want to make and have it reliable too! Be happy.

Acknowledge you are a great learner. Accept it. Enjoy it. You have now decided to change. That is cool. Since you have learned well before you can now too. You are a great learner! Do you get the mindset you are adapting. You are getting rid of the old one.

You are creating a new, positive, confident, new one. You are using your thoughts to change your thoughts by thinking good things about what you want instead of the old, chronic, negative habitual thoughts that kept you conflicted. Do you understand this?

Direct Your Mind And Changes – Celebrate Taking Charge

To make the positive changes you now use AUTOSUGGESTION. What the heck is this? Autosuggestion is or are suggestions you give yourself or self-suggestions. You use your own self-talk. You replace the old suggestions with new ones you want to support you.

They may not seem or be true at first. That is okay. The old ones weren’t necessarily true at all. You accepted them as reality so they shaped your reality and determined what you did or didn’t do, what you tried or wouldn’t try. They limited you in particular fasion.

NOW you change the content and decide WHAT you want to believe that will be useful. You monitor and manage your self-talk suggestions to give yourself only the  positive messages you want to replace the old, chronic negative ones you originally learned, with.

Be The Captain Of Your Ship – Pilot It To Where You Want To Go

Why do you use autosuggestion? Remember?  It is because you originally learned from what you were told, and heard and saw around you. Much of your learning was second hand, as well as, first hand. You are replacing that old conditioning with the new.

You override the old message with the new. This is why you do it and this is HOW you do it. You do it through repetition because the messages you originally learned you learned that way. You learn using your emotions. Then it was probably haphazard what you felt.

Now you deliberately utilize the best feelings to wire in the change. The subconscious is driven by the strong feelings you feel. Feelings deliver the message and make the difference. Your thoughts govern your emotions which govern your actions and results.

You Grew Up HowYou Grew Up – Now You Grow Deliberately

Anything you do you have learned to do, nearly 100% of the time, by repeating the activity enough. From crawling, walking, feeding oneself, using the toilet, reading, writing, riding a bike, driving a car, dribbling a basketball, knitting a scarf, using the computer or phone.

Whatever it is , most all human activity, writing, speaking, thinking, spelling, math, anything. To get good at it required practice. Think games. The more fun you have, the better you feel the more you want to play. The more you do the better you get.

Mastery comes from continued correct and improved repetition. It occurs over time. I repeat, most anything you learned you learned by repeating it again and again. To stay good, to maintain your edge you continue to practice. Pro athletes stay pros by practicing.

When You Are In Control You Dictate The Circumstances

They don’t become the best and then quit the process. Once they arrive they continue the process IF they want to stay good. That is how they get better. Consistent, dedication even when the best, to remain the best is required.

There are a rare, few things that one might learn almost instantly. You might dislike a food your first try. You could learn to like it by continuing to sample it. A Phobia may and can occur because of one powerful, intense and significant experience.

It is a unique one time learning event. Most people don’t have true phobias. They may have fears but not genuine phobias, although, some will. All things are learned over time by repetition with a couple possible exceptions. That is the process.

Lead Yourself As The Best Leader In The World Would

You learned to be who you are growing up over time. Understand to change habits it may take some time. Don’t bother about how long it takes because you can begin to make progress right from the starting point. That is good news.

Step by step, bit by bit you will get there. Just keep at it. Be persistent and consistent and you will get there. If it gets tough keep going. When it gets easier keep going. Enjoy the process all the way through. From the moment you start if you decide you can have fun.

If you decide you can have fun changing and growing then you will. How it is will be up to you! That is what is great about changing now. You deliberately get to determine how you want to go through it. You run the show. You make the decisions.

Become A Compassionate Benevolent Leader Of Yourself

You may encounter all sorts of other things, snags, and obstacles but you decide how you want to handle them. In doing this you learn control and how to maintain it. If you accept responsibility for all of it you will guide yourself as needed. It is an amazing process.

You repeat to yourself the new positive suggestions over and over again. You fill your mind with CAN DO thinking instead of Can’t Do thinking. You set your mind straight and develop the winner ‘I can do anything’ attitude ‘when I learn how’!

You keep thinking and repeating these positive mantras. These positive self-suggestions. When times get tough you keep repeating. When you don’t feel like it you keep repeating, You feel the best you can during all of this. You keep going no matter what.

Positively Direct The Changes You Want To Make 

Encourage strong emotions while you do this. Feel excited, feel eager, feel enthused, feel confident, feel powerful, feel angry, whenever you feel powerfully strong emotions that is what signals the brain that your words are important.

It really isn’t the words it is the feeling that accompanies them. You can repeat words listlessly, or apathetically forever without much change or you can change fairly quickly by chanting them out loud powerfully. Intense, positive strong emotions works great.

Your words and feelings and what you see in your mind, what you visualize work together in powerful combination to bring about the new changes. You remain congruent and aligned as you pursue and manage your new changes.

To Enjoy Enduring Success Travel In Advance Of The World

See yourself as already changed. Feel the wonderful feelings you’d feel when you are like that. Make it right now in the present not someday far off. Feel as though you are it and have it this moment! Notice how great it feels. This is how you change.

Stick with it no matter what. Develop the attitude that you can do this no matter what. Athletes continue to workout even when they may not feel like it. They also know that by working out when they don’t feel like it – they will begin to feel like it as they work out.

People wait to feel motivated, You can’t. Motivation doesn’t come from sitting on your butt waiting. Motivation comes through action. Do it and you will feel motivated. Wait for motivation and you will wait and wait. This is why you begin before you are ready.

Drop By Drop The Tub Gets Filled

You start right now no matter what. Begin now to have a wonderful relationship with yourself. Adore your ability to learn and be consistent. Be grateful you can learn and reproduce the behaviors you learn reliably. Appreciate that your brain.

Appreciate your subconscious does what it does. Your subconscious mind doesn’t have a critical filtering ability. It just doesn’t have it. It will learn whatever you teach it good or bad, right or wrong, negative or positive. That is why one can learn to smoke.

If you learned to engage in destructive habits this is why. Your brain doesn’t judge them as that. This is also why you can put an end to them and develop new positive habits instead. The subconscious mind doesn’t judge.

Now Is The Only Time We Have

It just acquires as its own whatever messages you give it with the highest emotional signal value. It learns from signal strength repeated over and over. SO you use the same process to change now deliberately. You are in charge.

Will it go smoothly. Nope, most likely not. Will you feel frustrated and want to quit. Most probably from time to time. Learning to go through this IS PART OF LEARNING how to manage your change now. It is part of learning control and becoming a champion.

When times are tough the tough get going. Hooray. It will be all things. The more you understand this in advance the more likely you will stick with it. How many times might you try and ‘fail’ as many as you do. Just don’t quit. Keep going even if you don’t feel like it.

If You Fall Seven Times Rise Eight

If you throw in and give up rise again. It doesn’t matter how many times you fall as long as you get back up. Make it fun, enjoy the challenges, feel your best and you will make it through, in time. To gain control and self-mastery isn’t easy but it IS WORTH IT.

Be grateful you can change. Be grateful for your history. Be grateful for the opportunity to create a new one. Be grateful for everything and you will move through faster, easier and more powerfully and enjoyably. Life works best when you celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Don’t Buy Into The Myth Of Self Sabotage!

“There  is no such thing as self sabotage. The brain only does what it learns to do.  Some one labeled this activity as sabotage but it truly isn’t. It is a blessing not a curse. It just doesn’t seem like one at times.

Believe me you want the brain to do what it does the way it does it. It has learned  to do all sorts of wonderful things. Positive beneficial things and useless and negative things. The brain learns!

Success Is Not The Key To Happiness …

The brain is a learning machine designed to keep you alive. It takes care of your survival. It creates neural pathways and then runs those neural pathways thus establishing habits so you don’t have to relearn everything again and again.

Those habits are what it learned to do. When you want to change one your brain goes into survival mode. Not full fledged fight or flight necessarily, but for some people the feelings may be intense.

It opposes the change because what it is doing IS what it learned to do. It continues to assert the old habits while you are attempting to add in the new. Because of this conflict you or someone else labels it self-sabotage. Nothing could be further from the truth.

… Happiness Is The Key To Success

It is not trying to sabotage you. It is trying to keep you successfully doing what you have always done. The issue is NOW you have decided what you learned long ago doesn’t serve you and you want to change. YOU are changing the way things worked.

In order to make changes you now want, you need to do the very same things you did when you originally learned the programming you now don’t want. You need to condition your brain in the same fashion as your earlier conditioning  but with positive updates.

How?  By repetition and powerful emotion. Early on you were influenced by others, and by their emotions as well as your own. They gave you suggestions day in and day out. They didn’t consider them suggestions they just talked to you and in front of you.

The Capacity To Learn Is A Gift

You listened, you heard, you heard them over and over and you adopted them. Sometimes, because you were emotional and sometimes because they were. You took on their ways of viewing and approaching the world. We all did it similarly.

Many messages we got were how tough things are, how hard we must work, that some people are lucky while others aren’t etc. We got a variety of self-limiting messages that resulted in our beliefs and attitudes about ourselves and the world.

Some people believe lies.

If you think, ‘I am stupid’, ‘I am not good enough’, I am too fat’, ‘I am useless’, ‘I can’t do it’, ‘I always screw things up’, ‘I am not worthy’, ‘I have to work harder’, ‘The economy prevents me from getting ahead’, ‘If only my parents had taught me better’, ‘I’m not educated’.

The Ability To Learn Is A Skill

Those sample thoughts are all lies. Yet, many people believe them. Why? because they adopted them while growing up. None of them necessarily are true or accurate but they will limit you if you accept them as true. You don’t have to believe them but you do.

That is the conditioning. It is not the mind trying to sabotage you. You could just as easily with just as much or little effort believe, ‘I can do anything I learn to do’, ‘I am capable’, I am worthy’, I am smart’, ‘Nothing can prevent me from reaching my dreams’.

But most people don’t. Why? Because they weren’t conditioned to believe this way growing up. The brain can learn either belief, it doesn’t care or judge. It just accepts them as is. Most people are stuck, not because they have to be, but because they believe the wrong beliefs.

The Willingness To Learn Is A Choice

They believe lies about themselves. They accepted them as gospel and they do nothing about it. They don’t like it necessarily and it may be uncomfortable but they believe that is who they are. They don’t realize they have a choice, UNTIL they realize they have a choice.

Here is the thing. All beliefs are lies. Positive or negative. The question is which do you choose to believe? They are either supportive or unsupportive. Which do you choose to believe? It is your choice.

This is how we go through life. We are born, get conditioned, accept that conditioning, have some experiences that verify that conditioning and lock it in. The Reticular Activating System (RAS) part of the brain is designed to do that. It finds matches.

Believing In Yourself Is The First Key To Success

Its job, beyond helping us survive, is to find a match. You say, ‘I am stupid’ and your brain goes ‘right you are’! ‘AND HERE IS WHY’ and provides you examples of screw-ups and incidents from your past and present that verify it. It looks for examples to prove you right.

Had you said, ‘I am marvelous’ your brain would look for those matches and find them just as readily. Even now you and I can say either and get matches. Most people get more of one type than they other because that is what they are most used to looking for.

Sad isn’t it. We want to change and it seems our own system prevents us. It doesn’t do it for nefarious reasons it does that for our protection and for keeping us consistent. We know who we are, what we believe and value. We will even argue about it.

It Is What We Think We Know That Keeps Us From Learning

We will fight to prove we are stupid, if we say it, and fight to prove we aren’t if someone else calls us that. Well, usually, sometimes we may agree. The point is we don’t have to believe any of these limiting beliefs we just do out of habit. We can be free of them if we choose.

Here is what it comes down to. After years of living with limitations we decide we want to change these. We know if we don’t change we will always do what we always did and continue to get the same old results we have been getting. Right? Unless we change.

That is what the brain is designed to do. To continue to get you the same results again and again reliably. You want it that way. You don’t want to walk through the door one day and into the wall the next. You want to get the same results day and night.

If You Are Not Willing To Learn No One Can Help You

NOW you want different results. So you make up your conscious mind to change. You want to lose weight or gain weight. Stop eating certain foods or begin trying new ones. You want to change your attitude. You want to feel better. You want more money.

Whatever it is you have decided you will change it. You may or may not think it will be hard to change, but sadly, most people go into it thinking it is going to be tough. It doesn’t have to be, but it is BECAUSE old habits die hard. Precisely, what you want. Remember?

You don’t want them to die off easily or the new ones wouldn’t stick either. You want it to be tough in actuality you just don’t want it to be tough for you. Am I right or am I right? You prefer it easy, yes? I understand. So do I.

If You Are Determined To Learn No One Can Stop You

In order for it to be easier you know it may take some time but you should think, ‘I can do this. It will be easy. Easy or not I will do this’. If you think it will be easy, while it may be difficult, it will be easier than if you think, ‘oh my god this is soooooo hard’. Get it? Read it again.

Your mind set determines how you go through or endure anything. Mindset, your attitude, determines 99.9% of your success and how you feel while attaining it. You want to learn to feel good no matter what. It is easier to change when you are feeling good.

If, when you begin to make the change the old habits rear up and you get upset, screw up, drop off, and decide, ‘It is too hard to change, I will never do it.’ You most probably won’t. That is a defeatist attitude for certain. Can’t throw in the towel and expect success.

Winners Have Simply Formed The Habit Of Doing Things … 

If you think, ‘I want to do it but I keep sabotaging myself’ that is as wrong to do as if you punched yourself hard in the face. You are labeling protective, survival processes your brain engages in to insure your success as sabotage. You are insulting your very self.

You are putting up additional opposition to your own ability to learn and grow. Instead of saying,’my brain is wonderful and keeps me alive and consistent’, you are saying ‘my brain is screwing with me. It sabotages me and prevents me’. Your emotions are conflicted.

Your thoughts are negative. You are not helping yourself. You are making excuses for not continuing and blaming yourself at the same time. Some people LOVE LOVE LOVE to blame themselves. They say things like ‘You don’t understand I sabotage myself!’

… Losers Never Do – Be Diligent And Win

‘You don’t understand I am chemically addicted’. ‘You don’t understand…’ as if their problems are the most significant ones in the world. No one has problems they do. They wear these as a badge of honor. They are proud they are unable. They suffer so.

They are good people and guess what? They learned to be that way. They learned to defend their unwillingness to change and blame it on anything and everything. They learned to feel good about feeling bad. It is habit for them. Yes, they can change it. Of course they can.

Tomorrow I’ll share how to change that. I give you some pointers in how you can eliminate self-sabotage for good. So be sure to read the next blog. Share too if you know people who could benefit. In the meantime, learn to be grateful for how you work. You work perfectly even when you don’t like the results you get. Love yourself.

How To Overcome Failure And Maximize Your Success

“We grow stronger the more we are challenged. Our minds grow stronger the more we use them just as our muscles do. Both atrophy when not used for lengths of time. Use it or lose it is how it is. We must challenge ourselves and grow through opposition.

Welcome to Part 11 of The Secret To Success And Happiness Few Know And Won’t Tell You. The series continues and this post continues from yesterday. I hope you found the first 10 parts valuable. Ready, let’s go. Part 12 tomorrow.

We must grow mentally and physically, emotionally and spiritually. Whenever you begin to change anything, a belief, a behavior, an old habit, all of your old chronic past habitual conditioning and programming rears up. You feel resistance.

Failure Is A Part Of Life – If You Don’t Fail You Don’t Learn …

Some call it paradigms. Our old conditioning is doing what it is supposed to do. Those who don’t know any better call it self-sabotage. You never self-sabotage yourself! You do what you were trained to do! In order to change you have to change your training.

The instant you begin your new training you encounter the old patterns and programs asserting themselves. That is because that is what you previously learned to do. Until you learn the new way it will feel difficult. The old way will continue to exert its influence.

For awhile, it will be difficult. Soon enough, with routine practice and dedicated application, you will overcome the old conditioning and the new conditioning will take hold. You will make the changes you want. Once the new way takes hold it will be just as reliable.

… If You Don’t Learn You Don’t Change

Believe me you want it to be like this! You don’t want the old to give way too easily. If it did you’d be screwing things up every other week. You want the things you learn to be difficult to change for consistency. The brain is smarter than we think.

People who don’t know any better call this process self-sabotage, as if a part of you is trying to thwart your progress. It isn’t! It is remaining your loyal and faithful friend by resisting the new ways. It is preserving what you previously learned to do.

It attempts to keep you consistent. It is a blessing not a curse! Even if what you learned, way back then, was unwanted and not your choice, you learned it and have operated from it. Your brain didn’t care if it was positive or negative, that isn’t its job to decide.

Failure Is Part Of Success – Don’t Worry About Failure …

Its job is to learn and carry out whatever it is programmed to do. To be reliable so you don’t have to keep relearning it every day. It builds reliable pathways to follow. It creates habits. This is WHY habits are difficult to break at first. This is why it seems difficult to change.

BUT it only seems that way. Change can be easier or harder depending on your mental mindset about it. AND GUESS WHAT? Your mindset is habitual too. How you view change is how you learned to view it at another previous time. AHHHHH get it?

This is why changing your mindset and learning to control your thinking is SO CRITICAL because it is habitual too. If it doesn’t support you how you want it to then you must change it. It will keep doing what it always did until you change it. Understand?

… Worry About The Chances You Miss When You Don’t Try

These things are locked in BUT not permanently. Well, they are permanent if we never bother to try to change them. Once we begin the process we encounter all the old thinking, feeling and behaving and that is what we need to overcome.

Inertia is the principle of physics that maintains that a body at rest tends to remain at rest until a larger force acts on it. OR a body in motion tends to remain in motion unless a larger force acts on it. This is why it is difficult to push a car down the road from park.

It is also why it is difficult to stop a car with your hands once it is moving down a hillside. Momentum takes over and you just have to get out of the way at a certain point. We can understand these for our personal changes. When we do it makes things simpler.

Success In Life Simply Comes When You Refuse To Give Up

Beginning a change means overcoming the tendency to remain at rest, or stay the same. Our brains try to keep us consistent. It seems to take effort and it does but it gets easier the more we do it and the longer we do it for. Easier and easier. Still, we have to start it all.

We have to start it and keep it going until momentum takes over. Once we get to that tipping point it is ‘all down hill from there’. Change becomes easier and picks up speed. We can feel the shifting. Until we get there though we have to push through it.

This is true of our mental condition and controlling out thoughts and feelings as well as our skills and behaviors. Changing for success in 99.9% a mental game. Get your head on right and the rest follows. Most people never get the mind game understood and that sucks.

In Order To Succeed We Must First Believe We Can

They don’t get good results because their mind’s don’t serve them as they would like. They put their attention not on changing their thinking but on what is wrong with others, the economy, the environment. They blame others and the world for their ‘failures’.

So they never learn nor change. They can, and maybe someday they will, when ready, but for now they maintain their status quo. They can’t see it yet, and that is okay. When they are ready the teacher will appear. The real teacher is oneself. AND mentors are beneficial.

Changing your mind means overriding the old programming. You can do that. Bit by bit, over time, by repeating exercises and processes that help you do that. Affirmations, Directed Questions™, Visualization, using vision boards all help you change your thoughts.

I Can – I Will – End Of Story

Consistent application of new thought is how you change. Focusing on the positive most of the time is how you change. The first great step is in awareness. Become aware of whether you are mostly positive or mostly negative most of the time. AND be more positive.

Accept and welcome the process. Celebrate the fact that you learn things and adapt. Celebrate that your brain and mind serve you in a variety of ways. Failure leads to success when you apply feedback as an athlete does. Awareness is the starting place and it is required.

Examine your defeat and losses. Once at the bottom the only way to move is up. Those who have achieved great things and great wealth have often done it on the back of great loss and hardship, equal in difficulty as their good fortune is good.

The Key To Success Is To Begin Before You Are Ready

You only fail when you quit the pursuit. Once you stop it is over. As long as you continue you are not failing. Everyone who has ever succeeded in anything has met with challenges. Some seemed insurmountable at the time.

Those who continued on in spite of the hardship, made it through and reaped a reward. Those who did not lost out. What gives the person who continues the edge. What do you think it is? Their mindset, of course? What else could it or would it be?

They control their thinking and do it in spite of the difficulty or the odds. They do it in spite of not feeling like it. They do it anyway. In order to do that they must think it first. They do not let their thoughts or their thinking prevent them. Others will but not these.

Winners Never Quit And Quitters Never Win

Thomas Edison tried over 10,000 times before he found the right combination of materials that produced a working lightbulb. What if he had stopped after 3 tries as most people might do?  We all still might be reading by gas or oil lamps.

The Wright Brothers continued attempting to fly until they actually did. What might have happened or how long would it have taken if they threw in the towel? There are countless examples of people overcoming difficulty and pushing through to ultimate success.

R. U. Darby, who Napoleon Hill references, had a wealthy gold mine that dried up. Dig and dig he did but to know avail. He tossed in the towel, sold the mine and gave up. The gentleman who purchased the mine, hired a consultant who determined that gold was still there.

Fall Seven Times – Get Up Eight

They dug 3 feet from where Darby left of and struck the richest gold vein making the new owner instantly very wealthy. Darby lost a fortune. Fortunately, for him, by his own admission, he stated it was probably the best thing that ever happened to him.

He learned from his mistake and vowed to never let anything stop him again. He went into the insurance business and he learned he would not take no for an answer. He became a wealthy millionaire salesman as a result and he attributed this to missing gold by 3 feet.

If we learn from our mistakes; if we learn from obstacles and our challenges and what appears to be defeat we will learn things of incredible value. These can be positively life changing. Our challenges are our blessings too. We just don’t view them that way.

What Defines Us Is How Well We Rise After Falling

We can. Challenges contain opportunity. Your mindset, your attitude, your beliefs will determine what you see as a blessing or a problem. It will determine whether you think you can or you think you can’t accomplish something. You mindset determines if you try.

The saddest thing you can do is throw in the towel and give up. The saddest thing is to not take control of the one thing YOU can control, you mind.  Learn to control it. Make it work for you. Learn from your mistakes. Find the good and the positive in everything.

When you do you will begin to change more and more easily. The momentum takes on a life of its own. As you find things to enjoy and opportunities to take advantage of, as you feel grateful you discover more. Your brain actually opens up. Enjoy it! Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

The Secret Successful People Know About Failure That You Don’t

“Successful people aren’t always successful their first time out. You know that of course, right? They may spend years working on their dreams with no apparent success in sight. More over they may face incredibly difficult odds and challenges. Many lose everything first.

Welcome to Part 10 of The Secret To Success And Happiness Few Know And Won’t Tell You. We continue on today. I hope you found the first  9 parts valuable. Ready, let’s go. Part 11 tomorrow.

A successful pro batter in baseball strikes out far more than gets hits. In fact the difference in averages between one paid the big, big bucks and one not isn’t that great.  If you think about it the highest scoring batter fails to connect with the ball far more often than not.

The same is true of basketball players and making baskets. The attempts far exceed scores made.They frequently miss. What sets these pro athletes apart from others, perhaps you and me? Why are they failing so often but still winning and getting paid very well?

Success Is Not Final – Failure Is Not Fatal …

One thing that makes the difference is they understand that in order to hit the target you have to try a lot. The know they will miss more than they hit and they accept that. It doesn’t prevent them from trying. They continue to press on. They keep the faith. They work it.

If they quit after their first miss, after their attempts went south, they would fail. Because they continue on they make adjustments to their behaviors and skill set, they continue to work on getting better and better. They improve. They know they must to compete.

They don’t count the times missed, they don’t focus on the ‘failures’ they record the successes. They understand swinging and missing is a large part of hitting the ball. Shooting at and missing the basket is a huge part of putting the ball in. It doesn’t stop them at all to miss.

… It Is The Courage To Continue That Counts

There is no such thing as failure. Either they did what they attempted to do or they didn’t. They don’t get bent out of shape about it. They keep their mind in check, they keep their attitude in check because they understand something most of us don’t.

Sports is a mental game. Most of winning is dependent on what goes on inside the athlete’s mind. Focus, concentration, not getting psyched out, but maybe psyching out an opponent, attention, shutting out distractions is a major part of their skills in doing.

It is the mental game that leads the physical prowess. Imagine trying to make a basket, hit a run, kick a field goal with millions watching, thousands cheering or booing, knowing the pressure is on. Are you up for that? Some people are and some aren’t?

Success In Life Comes When You Simply Refuse To Give Up

What the pro does inside their mind gives them the edge. Imagine training for four years to compete for seconds in the Olympics. You get a couple attempts, usually, and an average or best score entered in competition. Most who go to the Olympics fail to medal.

There is no such thing as failure to these dedicated people. There is only feedback. They either hit the mark or they don’t. If they don’t they examine what they need to adjust and improve to hit it the next attempt. If they miss again, they adjust for the next attempt.

Some go back after missing and dedicate another four years to improving so they can repeat the process again with the goal of medalling up next time. They commit and learn from their mistakes but they don’t throw in the towel.  Well, some may.

Have Goals So Strong Obstacles Failure Loss Act As Motivation

Those who do quit, they fail. They stopped after missing the mark. The last thing they did before quitting was to miss. Those who try again never fail. Temporarily, they may experience defeat, but only temporarily. They use it as feedback to continue to improve,

You and I face challenges and obstacles, small and large, each day. If you learn from your each of your difficulties you will continue to move forward. You gain valuable information on how to improve and move forward. With that information you can possibly succeed.

Napoleon Hill pointed out that within each adversity, each challenge, each struggle or disappointment,  there are the seeds of equivalent opportunity. You have to know to look for them or you will miss them. If you seek and you will find. Learn from difficulties.

Never Let Success Go To Your Head … 

You can learn from difficulties the same way athletes learn from their challenges. If you adopt the athlete mindset you can become a winner much more easily. You must learn to control your thoughts and feelings and to continue on no matter how daunting it seems.

With the correct attitude, and by making the proper adjustments, you can move forward toward success. With the right mind set you won’t stop at failure  but are open to begin seeing it as a stepping stone toward eventual success. All success begins in the mind.

When you look back on your life, or back on difficult times, temporary defeats and attempts to excel, you can more easily connect the dots. You see how or why you ended up as you did from the decisions you made. You can notice your part in it all.

… Never Let Failure Go To Your Heart

Your are responsible for all of it. Once you realize that all of your attempts, hit or miss, you are responsible for, the game changes. You don’t blame others, or conditions or circumstances, you seek to improve what you do so you are better the next time.

I enjoy listening to pros talk about how they won or lost a match or a game, and what they need to do to be better the next time. Listen, if you haven’t. It is all on them and what they can do to improve. Listen, pay attention, the pro mindset is what we need to win!

Never worry about making  mistakes. Mistakes are a part of it, just as misses are, as long as you learn from them. Some people try so hard to avoid making mistakes that they don’t do anything. They freeze. They are afraid they will do something wrong.

Failure Is Success In Progress

Something wrong can always be corrected. It is far better to do it and correct it and learn from it and move forward than to not progress at all because of fear. It sucks being frozen. When you are stuck you are not moving in any direction. That is what stuck means.

Enough for today. We will continue tomorrow. Hopefully, I have provided you with some important food for thought but don’t miss tomorrow. You will want to read on! Meanwhile, make it a point to examine your thinking and your experience. Look for the good.

Look for the positive. Look for what you do well that you can enhance. Realize you have an opportunity to improve and excel. You can update and upgrade. Eliminate the bugs and faulty programming and beginning living as you want to. Find those things to appreciate.

Success Is The Sum Of Small Efforts Repeated Day In And Day Out

Look into what you appreciate about you, others and the world. Bask it in. Feel the positive emotions. After all, the point of life is to feel wonderful. Logic is fine but feel delight and feel joy. Become enthused with your ability to make changes positively. Have fun and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
