What You Think At Work Determines Your Future

“Is your work exhilarating and fun? Are you happy to go there each day? Are you thrilled with your bosses and coworkers? Do you feel blessed being able to do the work you do? Do you feel you are contributing and helping others in your job? Is it fulfilling you?

Sadly, and unfortunately, for many people, the answer is no. They aren’t exhilarated, thrilled or eager to go to work. Most can’t wait to get home and many find their job dreary and their coworkers and bosses annoying at the very least. Not everyone, but many. Many do.

It is sad and it is unfortunate. If you aren’t one of those people who ‘hate’ their jobs or long for a better one, consider yourself lucky and blessed.  For many people just having a job is a reason to celebrate. However, that is not the point of this post.

A Negative Thinker Sees A Difficulty In Every Opportunity

The point of this post is you may spent 40 hours, or even more, if full time on the job. Part time could cap at 39 obviously. How you spend that time, your thoughts and feelings, are a critical influence on your ability to easily create the future you want. It can help or hinder.

Remember, the goal is to manage your thoughts and feelings. To think and feel the very best. You need to do so because the predominant thoughts in your mind is what you tend to create. You can’t not create so the questions is what are you creating?

On top of the job hours there are the off hours spent worrying about or fretting over the job. People think about their job, talk about it, gossip about the coworkers and all the other possibilities. That means even more time spent possibly negative thinking.

A Positive Thinker Sees An Opportunity In Every Difficulty

How do you expect to create a positive future if so much time is devoted to negative thinking? This is why I remind again and again that every moment is a moment to celebrate and feel blessed no matter what is going on. Horrible circumstance? It could be worse.

Find the silver lining, the good in all situations. Look for it. Seek it, dig deep if you have to. Don’t give into negativity or succumb to living a lackluster life. Change your destiny. Think positive. Find the good. Find what there is to appreciate and appreciate it. Feel grateful!

Find the 1% that is good that you appreciate and celebrate the 1% one hundred per cent! Create what you want to have in your future! Use challenges and frustrations to propel you further. Don’t be limited by them. Triumph over them. Be bigger than your problems.

Positive Thoughts Generate Positive Feelings And Experiences 

Your job can be your catalyst for greatness. Most of the successful CEO’s and top achievers in our world had menial, low paying jobs they hated. They started at the bottom as everyone else does but they were determined not to stay there. The made it out.

You can too! Use the hours in the day to think positive. We become what we think about. We get what we focus on. Like attracts like. Get more of what you want by becoming what you want first. Don’t wait. Develop the mindset and the feelings. Act as If! GO FIRST!

Be happy, feel rich and successful. Love life. Imagine everything is wonderful. Visualize and affirm. Direct your mind positively and powerfully. Learn from the difficult times and celebrate them. Enjoy the easy times and celebrate them. In fact, feel grateful and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

You Can Pretend Anything And Master It

“When we were children we would pretend what we wanted to be. Princesses and pirates, kings and queens, brave and daring, rich and famous. We pretended and we learned. We acted as if we were those people with those traits and belongings. We acted ‘as if.’

Much of our childhood was spent pretending.  The difference between playing pretend and using pretend is in our intent. Now, we pretend, to be. in order to become what it is we want to become. We do it deliberately and with full focus. Now, it is a deliberate  asset.

We can pretend anything and master it. We can master the ability we want to have. We can master pretending. Both are wins. We simply do it enough times, repeatedly, over a long enough time for it to become our own. We make acting as if and getting results a habit.

Every Champion Was Once A Contender That Refused To Give Up

Pretended that the law of attraction and vibration work. Imagine that you you are positively vibrating 24/7.  Use affirmations stating that you are vibrating high and radiating positive energy. Use Directed Questions™ to guide you further into fully feeling this.

Visualize and affirm. Ask questions of yourself that lead your thinking positively. Act as if you are vibrating the highest.  These practices help you develop a powerful mindset. Together they provide a frame, a point of view for you, and attitude to live from.

Either you are vibrating that you are  a rich, happy, thankful person, whose life is working well and you’re enjoying it or are you vibrating someone who’s worried  about bills, sad, disturbed, frustrated and angry; someone who has difficulties and issues in other areas too.

Champions Train – Losers Complain – Be A Champion 

Which is it?  If you are worried and angry you can change it. Presently, you may be experience that because the universe returns to you whatever you vibrate.  You get what you put out.  So what are you putting out there? What are you offering the universe?

Whether or not any of it is true or mumbo jumbo doesn’t matter. The practices help organize your thoughts. They give you something to do that you can calibrate to. Either you are doing them or not. Either you are happy and succeeding or not. The practices inform you.

Your results inform you as to what you are thinking, feeling and doing. Either you are getting stellar results because of your thoughts, feelings and actions or your results suck. Perhaps, they are so so, mediocre, but you’d like to improve on that. You can! Just do it.

Champions Do It Until They Get It Right – Develop Success Habits

Monitor your thoughts. Monitor your feelings. Make it a point to feel the best you can to feel. Be the best you can each moment. Be what you want to be in advance of having it. Act as if. The mental framework will help you greatly improve wherever you are at.

Riches attract riches. Feel successful and you attract success. Feel  good and feel happy. You attract what you are. You attract what you ‘vibrate’. Happiness attracts happiness. Birds of a feather flock together. Enjoy everything and you will enjoy more of everything.

These practices are like templates that you put on that guide you to becoming more of what you want. I don’t worry about whether they are ‘real’ although I have an opinion. If your opinion doesn’t support you then don’t listen to it. That is how I operate. Find support.

If You Want Quality Act As If You Already Have It

You want your thoughts, feelings, words, behaviors and habits to support you in your pursuits. You want to feel the best, think the best and enjoy the best results. To feel better you must actually do those things that make you feel better. Some people wait. You can’t.

Waiting doesn’t work. Waiting only brings more waiting. Some day never comes. You must take charge. You must put yourself in charge of your own life and lead yourself to victory. You must think and act like a champion if you ever want to be one.  Get it?

More next time. Meanwhile, practice today. Then each day. You can’t do it once and expect much to change. However, change your habits and your entire life can change. Habit change begins with thought change. You’ll never do anything you don’t feel like doing. You won’t.

Act As If You Are The Person You Want To Be – Go For The Gold

Unless, you force yourself. That is what champions and victors and leaders and the successful know. If you want it you have to be it and do it first. The happy people know to be happy. They don’t focus on things that make them unhappy. They protect their minds.

You can too if you want it enough. Strong desire, a burning desire, is the key. A fancy, passing, fleeting, or even persistent wish that things change won’t do it. A strong, white-hot passionate obsession will.  Determine to do it and have it and that nothing will stop you.

Then you are much more likely to get the results you want. I have found the best and easiest way is the way of gratefulness. Gratitude is an attitude that lightens up everything and paves the way for more blessings. Delight in all, no matter what. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Stop Whining And Go Get It!

“People drift. Many don’t know what they really want or what to do. They vacillate. They fret and worry. They are lost or caught up in less than glorious circumstances. They seek answers. I have, you too. Pundits have offered answers and hope; some good, some not.

What I like about Napoleon Hill is he tells it like it is. Many proponents of the Law of Attraction make it about wishing, wanting and hoping. They promote magical thinking. They claim, make a wish and hope it comes true. Sadly, many give up when that doesn’t work.

Hill pointed out that you must have an obsessive desire to obtain what it is you want in life. You must crave it such that there is an intensity behind what you want; so much that you will be willing to do anything positive and productive to accomplish or attain it.

A Champion Is Someone Who Gets Up even When He Can’t

You don’t wish it to happen. You don’t just want it to happen. You don’t hope it will happen. You don’t just dream it’s going to happen. You actually act and make it happen.  You know what you want. You focus on it to the exclusion of all else. You concentrate intensely.

You make it your burning  desire. Believe that you will make it happen regardless of circumstances. Believe in yourself and that you can do it. Hill says you need Applied Faith for when the going gets tough AND it will get tough. You need to believe your way through.

He is one of the few people who point out that on the path to success there may be difficulty and obstacles . He asks, if you know anyone who succeeded right from the very start without any difficulty. The answer is usually no. There may be rare exceptions.

Champions Train – Losers Complain

Hill modeled over 500 of the wealthiest people and discovered that on the path to success many succeeded and failed numerous times prior to ultimately making it. Most encountered severe obstacles that seemed insurmountable, yet, they prevailed. They had will!

Because they were severely challenged they learned how to attract money and wealth. They learned that they had to keep going, in spite of unbelievable odds. They were convinced they would succeed. In doing so they became invincible and unstoppable.

It begins with mindset. Attitude makes all the difference.  Champions know it will happen.  They are convinced it will happen. They expect to make it happen and they do. It happens because THEY persist. They are committed . They NEVER give up!

What You Are Thinking Is What You Are Becoming

They keep going until they accomplish what they set out to do. They have steel willpower.  They continue to do the right things, repeatedly and consistently for long enough to get their goals. This is the formula for success Napoleon Hill reveals out in his books.

Other proponents promote the airy fairy fluff.  Just wish it to happen. This is magical, mysterious thinking. The problem is that you and I buy into these notions. We want the lazy, easy, ‘no work’ way to riches. We want it fast and sweet. We want it yesterday. Am I right?

People exposed to this concept, read or see ‘The Secret’ and expect it to be a piece a cake. They think all all they have to do is imagine it coming to them and it will rain down into their lap. When it doesn’t happen quick enough they get confused and frustrated.

You Are Confined Only By The Walls You Made Yourself

They get disappointed and give up. Some might keep at it for a while hoping to make it work. They try to find the right way to have the heavens release their goods. Ultimately, they feel misled. Meanwhile, all along they are creating negative results.

Either you get positive results or negative results. You get what you want or you get what you don’t want. They are good at creating negative results. They get what they don’t want because they don’t focus correctly on what they do want. Correct application is needed.

They don’t do what they need to do in order to get what they want. You need to concentrate on it and make it a burning desire. Remember? Yes, expect it to be easy but know there can be obstacles. Know too,  that you will see your way through anything!

Champions Are Made Of Desire – Determination – Hard Work

It is all YOUR mindset. It is all attitude and thinking management. How and what you think determines your feelings and emotions. You either feel inspired and motivated or you don’t. You either feel it is possible or impossible. You feel you can do it or you can’t do it.

How you feel determines how you behave. When your mindset is right your feeling lead to inspired actions. You act! You behave congruently with your thoughts and feelings.  From your inspired actions you develop success habits.

Habits either support your success or detract from it. You either have habits of success or failure habits. You either get going and get doing those things that make you a champion or you doubt, fear, procrastinate and do those things that prevent you. Get it?

Champions Are Propelled By Desire – Not Compelled By Fear

To make any behavior a habit it you repeat it. You do it correctly, consistently, for long enough and it becomes a habit. It becomes automatic and reliable. You grow new neural pathways. You evolve your brain. You develop new thought, feeling and behavior habits.

These success habits, in unison, lead to positive results. As Hill revealed, you program your mind. You direct your mind and inform your subconscious mind what you want. It then goes on the lookout for opportunity and plans how you can get those results.

It is not magic.  It’s brain science. It’s not voodoo it IS how your brain works. The ancient thought leaders didn’t have science to back up their claims. They only knew what worked and what didn’t. Today, we have research that verifies it for those who need more proof.

Rock Bottom Has Built Way More Champions Than Privilege

The bottom line is you can have the success you want if you really want it enough. You must take charge of your brain. You have to control your thoughts! You need to focus exclusively. Concentrate on what you want. Feel like you’re already have it. Act as if!

Visualize. Affirm. Expect it your mind.  Think about it day and night. Plan to get it. Plan how you will get it. Start whether you are ready or not. Step out on faith that you can do it. Work ur plan and revamp your plan until you do get it! Keep going no matter what.

Develop this attitude! Do these things and you will get everything you want. You will make it happen because you will unstoppable! You will have shaped and conditioned and evolved yourself into a powerful ‘go getter’ force. You will develop the will to succeed.

Champions Keep Playing Until They Get It Right

You will do whatever is good, positive and productive to make it happen. You can help others and celebrate their successes along the way. You aren’t competing against anyone else for anything. You are making YOUR dreams come true and celebrating their dreams too.

It may not always go easy but that is okay. That serves to make you stronger and wiser. More important than what you get in the end is WHO you become during the pursuit. Evolve towards the highest good and you ultimately win much more!

Become the kind of person the world needs and you will succeed. The more people you help, the more of their problems you solve the more wealth and good will you generate. The more lives you positive influence the richer you become. Good news! That is telling it like it is! Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

“Sometimes others can help us. Finding the right coaches and mentors is invaluable. Learning and training is important. We benefit from support and assistance, but there is one thing only YOU can do.

Living up to your potential is completely up to you. It is in your hands alone. Only you can make the decision to do it. If you haven’t decided to live up to your best yet, you can bet you aren’t. True dat!

The Best Thing You Can Do –  Is Be The Best At Being You

Decide to be the best you possible. Commit to yourself.  There is only one you. Why not live it to the fullest? You deserve to.  Determine what your life and your future will be like. Then do it!

Never underestimate yourself. Never underestimate what you are capable of and what you can accomplish. If you can conceive it and believe it you can achieve it. You can! Always remember this!

You May Have To Go Through The Worst  – To Get To The Best

Doing great is a choice. Most people, sadly, live ho-hum, mediocre lives. You don’t have to. You can live the kind of life you want to live if you determine to do it. Never ever settle for less than your best.

Be the best you and make your dreams come true. Never count yourself out, but rather, count yourself in. Focus on the positive about yourself and nurture it. Learn, excel succeed and enjoy!

You’ll Be Much Better Off Doing This Daily

“If you want enduring success and happiness there are some simple things you must do. Failure to do them, most probably means, you won’t get what you want. However, IF you do them, your outlook for happiness and success becomes very great, It is simple and easy.

Today, set your mind on getting your goals. Become determined. Develop your power of concentration and focus. Control your thoughts and your mind. Make the decision that you will do it no matter what. Become steel-willed and live your purpose!

If you find that difficult, or if you find it difficult to believe you are the kind of person who can, realize you are only thinking from old, prior, conditioned  thought habits. Some people call it ‘stinkin thinkin’. Old conditioning is conflicting with the new thoughts.

If Your Habits Don’t Serve You – It Is Time To Change Your Habits

Your brain is attempting to preserve the old way. It is trying to help you continue to be the same. It is attempting to keep doing what you already know. However, if you always do what you always did you will always get what you always got. You will stay limited.

If you want to BE different, now, if you want to change your life, then you must change some of the things you are thinking and doing on a daily basis. You must learn and engage in new habits of success. You must decide to be different and then practice the new way.

Practice it each day, throughout the day, until you master it. Begin with your thoughts since those come before anything else. Think the best thoughts you can each moment. Believe in yourself! Some people will tell you ‘positive thinking’ isn’t important.

Have The Courage To Dream Big And The Will To See It Through

They say ‘just do it’. Don’t think about it. Do the behavior. I say, ‘just do it’ too, but it is your thinking that determines whether or not you will. It precedes your feelings. The first things to get control over, THAT you CAN get control over are  your thoughts.

Manage you mental images and your self talk. Keep it up-lifting. Manage it. As you do your feelings follow. You feel good when you think positive and you think more positive as you feel good. When you feel good you feel more like do what you need to do. Get it?

Begin, by determining what you want, and affirming it. Repeat it out-loud enthusiastically,  with great emotion. Mean what you say.  Do it whenever you can, out-loud and silently. If you hear yourself say things out-loud or silently to yourself that don’t support you, stop it.

Believe In Yourself – You Can Achieve It If You Believe You Can 

Stop and phrase it differently, stating what you do want, instead. Begin today! Apply it to your goals. Apply it to your major purpose and plans for your life. Don’t delay. Do it! The longer you wait to start, the longer you will have waited.  That is all waiting does.

Think and say; ‘I know my goal. I know what I want. Today, I am going for it! I realize that all I have to do is do it! All I have to do is go for it. I take action. I go for it! I am putting all my energy and attention into making it work. I am able. I can get my goals. I am un-stoppable!’

Put it into your own words. Power yourself up, control your thinking, aim your mind, feelings and behaviors into thinking, feeling AND doing those things, large or small, that move you forward. Tiny things are better than none. Positivity is better than negativity.

Believe It – Feel It – Take Action – Make It A Habit – Brings Success

Think; ‘I can do this. I can learn to enjoy it. This is fun. I like getting what I want. I do what it takes to get my goal. I can learn to do it and enjoy it. I am confident and capable. I a positive and powerful. I like making things happen for me and others! I direct my thoughts!’

Take charge. Be invincible and determined. Make it happen. A little bit gets great results, when done correctly, consistently, repeatedly over a long enough time. It is simple and it is basic. Master the simple and master the basics and your entire life can transform. It will!

The people who are most happy and successful are not engaged in elaborate , complicated processes. They are just like you and I, except that they have mastered basic success habits that they do everyday. You can too! Do it! AND celebrate everything!”

The Real Secret To Stop Losing And Becoming A Winner!

“Believe it or not there is a real art to winning and losing. To lose all you must do is not think and do certain things. In order to win you must think and do certain things AND not think and do other things. Knowing the difference IS what separates winners from losers.

Positive thinking is NOT sitting in front of your garden thinking over and over again, ‘there are no weeds, there are no weeds’. That is not what positive thinking is at all. Any one who tells you it is, is mistaken. They don’t understand what a positive mental attitude is.

Your Life Improves When You Decide To Control Your Thoughts 

Positive thinking is, ‘I can easily weed this garden and make it beautiful. I’m going  to make this garden beautiful.’ Then it is tending to the garden. Then it is weeding and planting and making it beautiful. The weeds don’t prevent you. Nothing stops you.

Positive thinking is developing the correct, or right, mindset to make getting your goals the easiest and swiftest. It isn’t fantasy, sitting in your room , thinking and visualizing ‘money rains down on me’. It is thinking, ‘I can easily and quickly make all the money I need.’

Whether You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You’re Right

‘I have all the resources. I am rich in many ways.’ Then going and doing whatever you need to in order to make the money honestly. Positive thinking means your attitude is in place and your feel positive.  You feel unstoppable and invincible.

You feel you can do it. ‘To enjoy enduring success one must travel a little in advance of the world.’ You are mentally and emotionally prepared and equipped to handle whatever challenges come your way. You are mentally, emotionally and behaviorally resourceful.

Your Mind Is Powerful – Train It To See Good In Every Situation

You thoughts are ‘I can do it’ thoughts. You don’t win a game thinking, ‘crap I am going to lose. I am a loser’. You have a better chance succeeding thinking the thoughts of a champion. Thought leads to feelings and feelings lead to actions. Actions lead to habits.

Habits lead to results. We all have success habits and unsuccessful habits. We want and need to develop more success habits than unsuccessful habits. Success habits are learning and doing, and creating a positive means to accomplish your goal.

Nothing Changes Until You Change – Then Everything Changes

Unsuccessful habits are doubt, fear, worry, procrastination, fanciful thinking, laziness. In order to get to Paris you must take the steps necessary. First and foremost you must believe you can and that you will.  Then you do those things that get you closer and closer.

Never let anyone tell you positive thinking isn’t important. It is vitally important. It is the first step in getting your dreams and desires. You must know what you want and you must know that you can achieve it. If you can conceive it and believe it, it can be yours.

Determine How You Are Going To Live Your Life – Decide Now

It can be yours BECAUSE you make it happen. You are an unstoppable force that gets your goals. Your mind and emotions and behaviors and habits are all aligned to get successful results. Positive thinking IS necessary to win. Never think otherwise.

Those who say it isn’t either don’t understand what it is or have another agenda. It is an inner game, after all. From within to without. Our results begin with our thoughts. Make certain you are thinking powerfully and productively and that you take action.

Don’t Make Excuses – Make Results – Winning Is A Habit

To know and not to do is to not know. To know and not apply the knowledge is fruitless. To get what you want you must take action steps. You can’t sit in your room and teleport yourself to Paris but you can take action steps to actually get there. Think it and DO it!

Your thoughts are powerful. They either move you forward or you let yourself be held back by them. Think powerful, positive thoughts. Develop a winner’s attitude. Have the steel will of a champion. Become a victor. Be grateful and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Stop Sniveling And Play To Win!

“Sometimes you just have to play to win. That is it! Many brought up today are taught it is important that all are winners. There should always be a win-win outcome. You win they win all is good. Sometimes, though you have to just play so YOU win. Get it?

I’m not suggesting to be ruthless and crush people. Crush the game instead. Crush it! Win it! Do it! Do it for yourself and others! Win it! Go for it! Make it happen.  Have some guts, some balls! Develop whatever takes to win the prize. Don’t stop. Keep at it.

Sometimes it takes strong, intense, passionate desire. It takes back bone and will power and the fortitude to keep going in spite of incredible odds. Quitting must not be an option. Winning must be the only outcome. Sometimes, it requires we force ourselves.

The Price You Pay To Win Is Nothing Once You Have Made It

It is okay that others share the victory. Win-win is good too. I think it is desirable in probably most all situations involving other people. Share the wealth, the victory there is plenty to go around. The universe is abundant. Unless, you don’t believe it is. Then…

Then you have other issues to resolve as well. While you can get rich being stingy and an SOB it isn’t usually worth it for self, family or others. A healthy positive attitude, going the extra mile, treating others well and living an abundant life, with all, is preferable.

It is desirable and just works much better. So transform yourself into someone wonderful, if you don’t think, feel and act it already. AND play too win too. Have fun. If you ever played a board game, or any game  and didn’t care, or let others win, that isn’t much fun.

Winning Isn’t Everything – But Wanting To Is – Play To Win

You have to be in the game, totally. Enjoy the game. It is YOUR game! Play it to win. Play it to get the prize BUT play it and enjoy it. Make each moment worth it! Have fun, delight, and live it. Consider life a game to be enjoyed instead of a burden. Then it can be enjoyed.

Your attitude determines everything! Those who have suffered great loss of freedom, use of body, family, friends, finances and more that have triumphed in their spirit and life will tell you how you go through the tough times IS everything. You need your head on right!

Do This Today And Make A Big Difference!

“Hopefully, at different times in your life, all is good. Everything seems to work like magic. Everything fits and flows. It is the good life and you are happy and feel blessed. Sure, there are other times but there are also some really fabulous good times. Yes,? You have?

I hope so. Today’s blog comes to you a bit later than usual. For that I apologize. BUT I am not sorry. What I mean is, my goal is to get you the blog everyday. Early enough too, for some readers to begin their day reading it. Depending where in the world people live, of course.

Anyway, today be kind to yourself. Be kind to others. Make it a special day and treat yourself and enjoy resting, and taking care of you while compassionate for others. Make it sweet, slow and significant.  Bask in leisure and love and life, today.

If You Can’t Say Something Nice About Yourself – Practice

Take time to stop and smell the roses. This is as important as the daily pursuit of your goals. Consider it this way. Each day you eat, play, and sleep. Taking time for yourself to enjoy and rest should be part of each day. Even ‘the creator’ rested after creating.

Don’t wait for the weekend, rest a bit each day. Play a little each day. Make everyday a great day! Put life into your day don’t just spend it working for a living. Savor the seconds and embrace them. Each day! Now as to why I am not sorry.

Because I took care of myself, too. I slept in. It was much needed. I spent the past week celebrating with others, hanging out with like minded positive people, feeding and nurturing and working on myself. Spending time brainstorming business opportunities.

Be Good To Yourself Be True To Yourself And Love Who You Are

I invested in myself, spent money doing programs I desired to do. I met new mentors, coaches, trainers and people I like to spend time around and learn from too. I dedicated the week to me and my growth. I always enjoy learning and going to positive seminars.

It was a wild week packed with joy, business, play, positive people and energy, travel, eating hotel food and foods I normally don’t eat, and little sleep. SO I slept in. I apologize but I don’t regret nor feel sorry for taking care of myself and delighting myself.

I want to remind you to do likewise, today and everyday. Gift yourself and remember to be thankful. Be a great giver and a great receiver. Allowing yourself to receive is an important part of our development and moving forward. Be an excellent receiver!

A Thankful Receiver Bears A Plentiful Harvest

Also, please remember it doesn’t matter where you are in the journey. It doesn’t matter the obstacles or the ease at which you progress. You are moving forward, as long as you move along, even if just a little bit. A little bit of change can produce huge results!

Whether your a new initiate to personal progress or advanced remember to treat yourself, AND others, kindly, with love, respect and appreciation. You are always right where you are in the journey and that is reason to celebrate. So do it. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

How To Change Or Eliminate Prior Past Conditioning So You Can Get What You Want

“What your life is like today is the result of prior past conditioning and decisions. You learned and co-opted beliefs and values from others while growing up. You came to some of your own conclusions, based on those you co-opted, from experiences you had.

You believe you are a free agent and independent thinker. To some extent that is accurate. Another way to consider this is that your mental mindset was formed before you had choices about it. You got it from others, it is habitual and it runs the show.

Your reactions are wired in. You are preprogrammed, it works reliable and it makes you predictable. We all are. This is both marvelous and not so marvelous. On the marvelous side it means we are able to learn and learned while very young and very well.

Your Past Never Defines Your Future If You Don’t Allow It

It operates without much conscious thought so it is reliable and consistent. We don’t have to relearn things over and over again. It works well for us. We are resourceful in many ways. We are conditioned and able to function perfectly.

The down side is much of what we learned is outdated. It served us better at one time than now. It is mostly other people’s opinions of life and of ourself that we live from, rather than our own. It can run counter to our own conscious desires and goals.

At the same time it may be why we have certain desires and goals and not others. We are a mix of really wonderful incredible processes and abilities and some not so great software, to use an analogy. If we have some faulty software we get faulty results.

Your Future Is Programmed By Your Thoughts Not Your Past

If your life is crap it is because you ALREADY, outside of you own awareness, decided it is crap. The decision was made for you, by you, out of the old chronic conditioning. Your very own habits determine how you would react to things.  Do you understand this?

Your prior programming is both a blessing, it truly is, and a limitation, it truly is. It is absolutely both. Many good and wonderful things have come about because of who and what you are. Some limitations present themselves too. Don’t succumb to blaming self or others.

You are both wonderfully resourceful and limited. Accept yourself and love yourself for who you are. Your past condition is not unchangeable. Some of your past is excellent too. Remember that. You can keep the good while ridding yourself of limitations.

Let Go Of The Limitations Of The Past And Keep The Good Past

Since these programs, this conditioning runs on and on, consistently and reliably, if you want to change things YOU have to do it now. Others programmed you in the past but now only YOU can change that programming. This next piece is important to understand.

You react before you have any awareness of what is happening. That is how the brain works. It learns to do things and then it does them automatically. Something internal or external triggers a programs and away it goes. It runs on and on, often, before you even know it.

Until or unless something happens to alter it or stop it, it does what it learned to do.  Habits are wired in. There are good habits and good programs that run a lot of your life. There are other habits many might label less than glorious. We are a mix of many things.

The Best Way To Predict Your Future Is To Create It

For example, getting very mad because traffic is ‘bad’. You don’t have to. Some people don’t, but, you do because that is what you’ve always done. Somewhere at sometime you reacted that way enough until it became a reliable neural highway! It became habit.

You could have learned it from parents. If a particular role model always yelled and screamed at traffic, it is reasonable that you might. It isn’t written in stone that you would, but there is a good chance you learned to do similar things. Experience and modeling shapes us.

Chemicals squirt and electric impulses fire off in a particular sequence and voila’ ROAD RAGE! It is reliable. It is automatic. It happens so fast. It happens nearly every time. You live with road stress. You’d prefer not to but you haven’t changed it, yet.

Everything Is A Blessing – A Learning – An Opportunity 

Imagine this occurs day and night, to work and back. That is NO way to spend your time. It is no way to spend your time in a car. Some people are worse, but many others are far better. They aren’t bothered at all about traffic. For others it may be a mild nuisance.

The only way to change it IS to change it. You have to get inside and make a new decision before the old one fires off.  BUT how on earth can you do that? How do you extinguish the chronic behavior? You have to teach the brain ‘Not That’ but ‘This’ instead.

You have to train your brain to NOT DO THAT but to do this other thing instead. You have to shift from rage to relaxed. HOW? Awareness is the key. You can’t get inside before the trigger results in a flood of electro-chemical activity.

You Have A Rare And Unprecedented Opportunity Before You

You must catch it shortly afterwards. The sooner the better. SO you must become sensitized to what sets it off. You must know the trigger. You must know the trigger point. You do this by deciding to change it. That is the first step. You make a decision.

You catch yourself after it happens and re-direct it. This is one way to approach changing it. The other is to pre-program what you want. Imagine it, visualize it, the way you want it to go instead. I’ll discuss this aspect in another blog post soon. Stay tuned.

One thing you can’t do successfully is think ‘I won’t get angry’ or I will not get angry.’ What is the key word in that sentence? Angry, right. SO if all the rest of the sentence weren’t there what are you left with? Angry. If you take away, ‘won’t’ and ‘not’, what have you?

Start Your Day With A Smile – Enjoy Every Moment Of Your Life

You are left with the thought ‘I will get angry’. The mind doesn’t accept negatives. It works only on positives. Similar to computers that function by code the brain has its own way of doing things. It says yes to everything. It ignores and doesn’t process, the ‘no’.

If you say, ‘I won’t overeat’ you are communicating ‘I’ll overeat’. If you say, ‘I do not want to be poor’ you are saying ‘I want to be poor’. Your subconscious responds to your thoughts AS commands. It does what you are telling it not to do, over and over again, habitually.

To begin to change you must change your thoughts and language by rote repetition and will. You must specify and say what you want. If you say, ‘I will only eat healthy’ does you brain know what you intend? It is better to specify. ‘I will eat green leafy vegetables.’

You Can Change Your Life – What We Think We Become

You can soften it a bit, at first, by saying, ‘I will learn to enjoy eating green leafy vegetables’ or ‘I will eat green leafy vegetables and like it.’ If you say ‘I want more money’. How much is more? 50 cents, a dollar or two is more money. Will that satisfy? Specify the amount.

Say, ‘I will make an extra 50 dollars a week.’ Or whatever amount you actually believe you can make. If you said a million, while it may be possible, it certainly is, if you don’t believe you can do it right now, start with a smaller amount you do believe and work your way up.

Then you get things working together for you. It’s important to believe your new declarations. If you say, ‘I will exercise everyday’ and you don’t believe it, chose a number of times you know you will and start with that. Then gradually add to it. Work up to it.

Believe You Can – Believe You Can – Believe You Can – Believe

Success breeds confidence and confidence breeds success. The more you successfully take small steps toward a positive outcome the more likely you will succeed. You will build your wins and as a result win more often. Drop by drop the tub gets filled.

It begins with awareness. The first awareness is that you want to make a change. Specify and clarify what you want in positive terms. Say, ‘I will behave in loving ways towards my children when they…’ rather than ‘I won’t get mad or upset when they…’

Know what you want. Specify it. Use positive phrasing for the declaration. You subconscious doesn’t care what you choose so you must. If you say, ‘I am stupid’ you subconscious mind says, ‘YUP’. If you say ‘I am smart’ your subconscious mind says ‘YUP’.

This Is Your Life Shape It – Take Charge Of It – Or Someone Else Will

Either way it will find examples from your past and your circumstances that demonstrate precisely what you said you were, stupid or smart. So learn to clean up your language. Whenever you utter something that leads to a bad conclusion you can change it.

The instant you hear yourself utter a less than glorious phrase, think or say, ‘Cancel’. or ‘Cancel that’ and change it to a positive phrase. You can think or say to others if you slip, ‘That is what I used to say in my past’ or some variation of that.

Put any behavior you don’t want into your past. That is something you used to do, but ‘thank goodness, I do ________ (insert positive behavior or thought) instead’. Become aware when you make assertions or declare how things are, when you don’t want them.

The Smallest Things You Do Can Lead To The  Biggest Changes

Assert and declare what you want even if you don’t have it yet. You will eventually because you focus your mind on what you want to go after instead of what you don’t want. It will go after either without care, so you must determine which is goes after the most. Get it?

Clean up your language. Place less than glorious behaviors and thoughts into the past. Frame it in your mind as something you used to do but thankfully you are wiser now and you think and do better things. Stop reinforcing what you do not want. Is this clear?

Reinforce ONLY what you do want. Whenever you think ‘I don’t want that’ STOP and switch the thought and the utterance to what it is you do want. Clarify what you want and affirm that. ‘I want this’! This is how you begin to train you brain and mind to work for you.

Age Is Of No Importance Unless You’re A Cheese Or A Wine

You train it to work for you to do what you want it to, instead of what it learned to do while you were very young and not in charge of it. NOW you take charge. Whenever you ask yourself a less than glorious question you change the thought and the language too.

When you catch yourself asking things like, ‘Why do things always suck for me?’ or ‘why am I unlucky?’ STOP and ask yourself a positively phrased question instead. Cancel the first and ask ‘Why I am I so blessed that good always happens for me?’ or ‘How come I am so lucky?’ Phrase it in the positive for yourself and ask away!

To change you must change what you are doing and do something you rarely did or never did before. You must clean up your thoughts and those things you say to yourself. A useful exercise would be to write out the limiting statements and questions you make .

I Am A Product Of My Decisions Not My Circumstances

Then write out their opposite positive statement or question. Take your ‘will nots’ and make them ‘I wills.’ Create a  list for yourself of the ones you know you do. The others, you aren’t aware of, you will catch as you make progress. You can absolutely change this!

You can end what holds you back and begin living in a new, positive, delightful way. Remember, every declaration you make about you, others, your circumstances, anything that follows the words ‘am’ ‘have’ ‘is’ or ‘are’, are affirmations, whether positive or not.

Stop negatively affirming and your life will improve. You get what you focus on. Stop putting energy and attention on the less than glorious and put it onto the positive and glorious. Focus on the good right now in you, others and your circumstances and your future.

If You Want Success Start Thinking Of Yourself As A Success

You will make the invisible good that you desire, the good you don’t yet have, visible and you’ll come to own it as you focus on creating it for yourself. Be proactive! Make these changes and you will bring about incredible opportunities and blessings.

Do You Deserve Success? What If You Don’t? Do This!

“You deserve success. You deserve to feel successful BUT what if you feel like you don’t? Probably, no amount of trying to think you do, will convince you. You’d just end up struggling to feel worthy, which you are, but you still don’t feel like it. Right?

So, you imagine having what you want; a new relationship, more money in the bank, a wonderful career;  a brand new car or home, or a piano, or weight loss or weight gain; but when you do imagine it you don’t feel glorious.  You feel stuck. Right?

You have less than glorious feelings. Something is off. Something is not right. You doubt you will get it or you feel ‘not so good’ while thinking about it. This is a signal that you aren’t in alignment with what you want. You won’t get what you want feeling that.

Never Judge Yourself By Your Ability To Please Another

You will only get more of THAT. So what to do? You want it, but… Here is what you do. Have you ever given a gift to someone? When you did what did you do? You bought or made it and then you gave it to the person. When they received it what did they do? Said thanks.

Whether or not they deserved it you still gave it, right? They took it. Right? Have you ever been given a gift? What did you do? You took it. Didn’t you? Whether or not you deserved it, you still received it. So you both gave and received gifts and deserving wasn’t an issue.

DROP the notion of being worthy or deserving. You don’t have to be to get a gift. You don’t have to be deserving to find a dollar on the sidewalk. You don’t have to be deserving to notice something that makes you smile. You don’t have to be deserving to be delighted.

You Don’t Have To Please Others To Be Worthy – Love Yourself

You just accept it. You just notice it. You just say thanks. When it comes to your goals and your dreams, no matter what you have been told in the past, no matter what you believe, you don’t have to deserve it. You only have to allow it. You only have to receive it.

Say thanks and go on. Let the universe, yourself and others gift you without qualifications. Allow yourself to be open and receptive. Delight in freeing yourself of the unnecessary burden of worthiness. Those are artificial conditions we learned to have from birth on.

All that is comes from other peoples rules and conclusions we drew from experiences. It isn’t reality. Worthiness is an arbitrary concept. You had to be good to get a cookie. You had to get an A to please your parents. You were made to jump through hoops.

You Are Worthy Just By Being Who You Are – Universe Loves You

Not bad in itself but the messages we got might be that, unless we were good enough, worked hard enough, did the correct things, pleased the right people, developed ourselves, were smart enough, rich enough, good looking enough etc. only then could we get what we wanted.

I am here to tell you that is a load of crap. You and I may have bought into that but it is time to drop it and let it go. It is time to receive and not be concerned with anything else. It is time to shine and feel glorious for being who you are. It is time to accept abundance.

Drop unnecessary baggage. When you arrive at your destination you put your luggage down. You do not keep carrying it with you. Give yourself a rest! Accept who you are and drop all else. Receive what there is to receive. Enjoy and delight in all.

Close Your Eyes – Clear Your Heart – Let Go – Accept Yourself

So there isn’t any misunderstanding. This doesn’t mean you don’t do your work or take part in being responsible. It means you drop the beliefs and reasons for not being, doing or having. You let them go. You live accepting and including instead of excluding and dismissing.

Allow yourself to simply want what you want. It is OKAY to have wants. Be grateful for all there is. Enjoy life unfettered. Stop trying to make yourself feel worth it. Say thanks for the gifts. Appreciate and keep moving forward. Celebrate. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
