Watch Your Words: You Get What you Say You Will

“You have been talking to yourself and saying things to yourself for years and years. You have been repeating many of the ‘same old things’, perhaps, for decades. You have been telling others, too. You have, haven’t you? You have been repeating a story you tell to all.

Your story is what you think you and life are all about. You tell yourself and others your limitations, problems, setbacks, dashed hopes, worries, anxieties and everything else! Don’t you? My guess is, while some things change, much of your story remains the same.

It is consistent. It is why you are stuck, broken, limited and unable in to move ahead. Yes, at times you may mention your personal resources. Regardless, you, I and everyone, have been repeating stories about ourselves since our childhood. We need to watch it.

What You Say Is What You Get – What You Focus On Expands

The stories may or may not be real. I say they aren’t. Some will argue that. These stories are our reasons, our ‘becauses’, our ‘whys’ for what is. They’re explanations we got from others when we were too young to know the difference. We’ve lived with these for years.

Now, is the time to change your story. If the one you tell doesn’t support you in being the person you want to be, doing the things you’d like to do and having what you want, then it is time to stop telling the old non-supportive story. Swap it for a supportive one.

Make up a new one. The old one was made up. It’s just a fairy tale you believed. Make up a better one; one that is positive, productive, supportive and which helps you live the life you want to live. Change your story for one that works for you, instead of against you.

If You Say What You Have – You Will Have What You Say

The time to do this is right now. There is no better time. Now, is the only time. Do it. Don’t wait. Waste time, no more. Get into it and create the story and the life you want to be living. If you won’t, no one will do it for you. Create your life and make it happen. Yes!

Then you will live the life you design. You will live life on your terms. Tell it the way you want it to be. Tell it as you want it to unfold. Speak it into existence. Re-write your history and fashion your future. Create what you want instead of accepting someone else’s version. Do it! Live, love, laugh. Learn to enjoy. Be grateful. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

What I Learned From Manifesting Parking Spaces

“What I learned from manifesting a parking space I didn’t expect to actually get. Miracles happen. Lessons abound. Keep the faith. Make things happen and accept whatever is. I settled for the first spot instead of risking and going for the one right in front.

So what it is all good. It is what it is. Allow it. Trust it. Continue to create and attract and allow and accept. Don’t try to push the water. Understand that this or something better exists for me. Everything IS a blessing, an opportunity and a learning. Take from that. Learn.

I got exactly what I wanted. A spot right in front AND a back up spot. Precisely, as I imagined them. I created the back up because I wasn’t convinced I could get the first spot. Always go for what you want. In this case I got both and took the second one because it was there.

What You Think And Feel Always Manifests – Do You Notice It

I encountered it first. Rather to be safe than sorry I snatched it. The other one was around the corner waiting. I couldn’t see around the corner. My unexpected good was right there. It would be easy to blame or make myself wrong but NOPE. That isn’t the case.

I created what I wanted. I got what I was ready in that moment to accept. No harm no foul. All is good. I don’t take this to mean take more risks. Nope. I did what I did. What amazes me most is that even while I didn’t believe I could have what I wanted I got all of it.

Then I didn’t take the prime spot. So what. I create or attracted or lucked into both spots. Whatever you want to think about it there are lessons here. What are yours? I am still learning from it. I could say more but enough for today. Bottom line celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Can You Visualize And Make Things Happen?

“I learned a lesson about manifesting by manifesting a parking space. Something so small many people would call it a coincidence. Perhaps. Still, see what you can derive and learn from this example from my experience. You may come away with a lot of insight.

I stayed at an apartment, in an area, that did not require a nighttime parking permit. Across the street to the south and a block a way a permit was required. This is where I would park if I couldn’t find a space on my street. My street was packed and spaces were rare.

They were much rarer if you parked there after 5pm. During the previous week no spots were available after 5 or 5:30 pm. I was going to be traveling the next day. I’d been at a meeting which was delayed. I left at 7:30 pm. I knew I’d have to park a block away.

What You Hold In Your Head You Can Hold In Your Hand

I decided at that moment to create a spot for myself right in front of the gate to the apartment. I saw it clearly in my mind. I affirmed that this was what I wanted. Heck, I’d even take a nearby one around the corner too. That was still close enough. I threw in the 2nd request.

Why? I imagined two spots because frankly, the likelihood of getting a spot in front of my apartment was nearly zero. I didn’t want to be disappointed in not getting one. I doubted there would be one. It was actually difficult for me to muster up enough energy to do it.

My thinking was don’t do this. There won’t be a spot and it will just weaken your convictions. Doubt, is a great de-motivator. I didn’t want to try something and have it not work. If I don’t know it won’t work I am willing, but I was certain this wouldn’t work. I knew it.

What You See Is What You Get

So I determined the first spot right out front and then a back up spot just in case. Neither were even remotely likely. I drove up the street and lo and behold the back up spot was available. I thought better take it now while it is here. I was tempted to drive around the corner.

I wanted there to be a spot in front of the apartment but if I didn’t take this one and there wasn’t I might miss out on this one too. I nabbed it. I parked. I felt good enough. I walked around the corner and there in front was the available space just as I imagined.

Both spots were there. I took the first one  got to, to be safe. This was unreal. Both spots in the exact places I visualized at a time when every day that week, and prior to that, there would be none. I felt fantastic, and a little bit disappointed I didn’t turn the corner first.

What You Focus On Expands – You Get What You Think About

I learned a lot from this experience which I will share soon. What might you have learned from my experience? This is important to explore? What might you have gleaned that you can use to manifest and create what you want in life? Please answer this for yourself.

Transformation Is A Process! Do You Know What Kind?

“Do you get that it IS a training process? Transformation IS a process of conditioning. Just as one learns to swim, ride a bike, play basketball or the piano one learns to be happy, create success, live life on one’s own terms, manage money and become who you want.

It IS a training. Change IS possible through practice. You get better the more you correctly repeat things over time, for a long enough period of time. Mastery IS a life long process. Skill acquisition comes from applying your knowledge. It is real time learning acquisition.

You learn to manage your thoughts and feelings. You learn to motivate and inspire yourself, even when you don’t feel like it. You learn to commit, and to keep your word. You learn to persevere and pursue your goals. You learn to manifest what you want.

Successful People Are Those With Successful Habits

You practice AND you get better. Actors rehearse. Sports players train and condition. People practice skill-sets. The reason you feel down and worried, focused on lack and scarcity, depressed and annoyed, lonely and afraid is because you practiced it over and over.

You didn’t realize you were doing that but that IS what you were doing. To change your life you have to practice NEW and different, useful, productive, positive, supportive skills so that the new ones become new habits. Then the news skills are reliable and automatic.

You SWAP one old skill set for a brand new skill set. How? Through correct practice and enough repetition until your brain gets that you choose the new skills over the old. It takes as much time as it takes. So, practice patience while you are at it. Practice gratitude, too.

Habits Are Difficult To Break So Be Sure And Develop Good Ones

Gratitude seems to speed everything up. Practice being happy now for no reason at all. Act as if you are on top of the world. Practice being the successful you from the future, right now. Feel it, see it, hear it, taste that success right now. Practice it. Live it. Act as if.

Be thankful. Celebrate. Be joyous, peaceful, kind, loving, generous, patient and dedicated. The more you do, the more you can do. Live it. Feel it. Have fun with it. Take it lightly. Make it a game. Let go. Don’t try to win. Just have fun playing. Delight in all. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Why You Keep Creating The Same Mess And How To Change It!

“Our outer world is determined by our inner filters. We respond from subconscious filters we adopted and developed, unconsciously, growing from infant into early childhood. These filters form the basis of our habitual thought and feeling habits. We think they are us.

Expanding thoughts from my last post on perception. They are not us but these filters determine what we notice, see and act on. They determine what we don’t notice, do not see and do not act on. Filters determine what we think is possible or not; what is ‘good or bad’.

These form the basis of our rules, evidence procedures, feelings, and actions. These become beliefs and values. Each moment our brains cycle through beliefs, values, memories, experiences,  associations and these filter are our connection with the outer world.

You Can Be Anything You Want If You Give Up The Belief You Can’t

So what is a filter? Think coffee filter. It lets certain things pass, water, while trapping the grounds. It works the same inside us. We notice or don’t based on our filters. That is why you can miss seeing your keys when they are right in front of you or even in your hand.

We are conditioned and habituated to these. We follow the same or similar ways of thinking, feeling and behaving every day. It’s as if we are our habits. We aren’t but we go to work the same way. We come home and do the same thing each day. We are routine.

We are routine in our relationships, our work, our passions, our hobbies, and our leisure. We are conditioned. Can we ever change our filters or our habits? Absolutely! It begins with awareness and dedication. We can begin to experience other ways to be. We can!

You Can Do Anything You Want If You Give Up That You Can’t

We can begin to examine our beliefs and whether they support us or not. If not, we can choose to begin to believe something more positive, productive and supportive. Don’t think right or wrong. Don’t think true or false. Think supportive or not supportive.

Does what you think, feel and do move you closer to who you want to be, what you want to do and have? OR Does it keep you where you are or move you further away? This is a useful way to begin to examine and become aware of what your filters are. Examine!

It is useful in discovering what may be holding you back. Habits are changed by deciding not to engage in the old ones. When you notice you are acting from habit, stop, breathe, and do something else that promotes what you want to promote. Replace the old with the new.

You Can Have  Anything You Want If You Give Up That You Can’t

Become aware when you think, feel and behave in less than glorious ways. From the moment you become aware, you have a choice point. You can make a new decision. That decision will determine whether or not you change what you are doing and change your life.

If you always do what you always have done you will always get what you always got. You will remain the same. To be different requires you change some things. No one else can do it for you. Only you can. AND YOU CAN! So it is up to. Add novelty to your life.

DO different things. Eat different foods. Go to new places. Learn new things.. Expand your horizons. Change things up. Every time you feel less than glorious or think negatively you encountered a belief or value, some filter that is old conditioning. Notice the feelings.

Whether You Think You Can Or Think You Can’t – You’re Right

Examine your beliefs. Do they serve you? If they don’t then doubt them. You don’t have to continue to believe them. Many people doubt they can do something they want to do. I say doubt that you can’t and then go ahead and do it. Be smart. Doubt limitations.

Be willing to not believe them, even though you have for so long. Let them go. Drop them. Be willing to try on a new and different belief. The old, chronic, negative, habitual conditioning  rises up automatically whenever you do new things to keep you the same.

Your beliefs and filters work to keep you the same. They keep you within a certain comfort zone even if that comfort zone is a painful one. It is what you are and do. It is your conditioning. The point is drop the old conditioning and choose new conditioning.

Whatever You Whisper To Yourself Has The Most Power

Gratitude and appreciation may be a new habit for you. Positive thinking and optimism may be new to you. Persistence and follow through may be new to you. Discover YOU are NOT your conditioning and habits. You only think you are. You are not!

When you discover you are not, you are free. Your conditioning masks who you really are. Trade it in for better conditioning. You aren’t your hand. You use your hand. The same is true of your habitual thoughts, feelings and behaviors.

When you trade your old conditioning for new conditioning everything can work better. Why? Because this time YOU choose it. YOU DECIDE IT! You are in charge. You choose what to believe and when. You create what you want. You are in charge. That makes the difference. Celebrate everything!”

What We Can Learn From The Rollercoaster

“Kids and adults like rollercoasters. Not everyone, but enough that they are popular amusement park rides. What does a rollercoaster do? It takes you on a high speed journey, through ups and downs, fast and slow. The purpose is to scare, thrill and delight you with fun.

Life has been likened to a rollercoaster. Remember that, when you have a moment. Life is a journey. There is no desire to quickly get to the end. From birth to then, there are ups and downs. What if the purpose of all these was to scare, thrill and delight you with fun?

Consider, every event, good or not so good, there for your delight. It is part of an adventure. It is the journey. It is all for your well-being. It is designed for you to grow and learn and evolve and transform. Enjoy the journey. Enjoy all of the ride. Let go and be thrilled.

Everything Is A Blessing And An Opportunity To Think Differently

If You Accept It Can You Still Change It?

“So, if I accept what is, does that mean I am stuck with it? Am I giving up if I accept the circumstances? It seems like I am surrendering rather than moving forward? If you have these or similar thoughts you are not alone. Many people wonder what to do and how.

What is IS what is. That’s the way it is. There is no changing that. It IS! You must understand this. You may want it different but it is what it is. Can you accept that? Can you accept the notion that it is what it is and that is all there is. There is nothing else at this moment. It IS!

So, accept it. It won’t help to fight it. You will be going up against the entire universe by resisting it. So stop. Accept it. Recognize that is what is. NOW, having done that it doesn’t mean you can’t do things to change it. First, accept that it couldn’t be otherwise.

The Best Way To Be Grateful Is To Accept Everything

You got what you got! Consider this. You get back what you are not what you want. According to the Law Of Attraction, you attract what you presently are. You get more of the same. Like attracts like. I use the the mirror example. If you frown you don’t reflect smiles.

You get back frowns. If you first accept, if everything is a blessing, then blessings are what you get back in return. If instead, you feel needy, or need something else, then you attract back need. If you resist you attract or create more resistance. So go with the flow.

Get it? Go with what is and accept it. If you have preferences of how it might be otherwise that isn’t the same as having a need or fighting it. Can you understand this? If you think, ‘I’d like to have more fun now’ and you become fun. Then you will get more fun back.

Everything Is Going To Be Great It May Not Seem Like It But It Is

Get it? Become what you want to receive! Accept that your actions are part of this process.  Don’t resist, because what you resist persists. Instead you allow. Accept. Receive.  Invite. Think. ‘I am bigger than my problems. These are there as a blessing.’

Obstacles are an opportunity for you to grow and evolve and develop in ways you would not otherwise do if they weren’t here The reason most people have problems is because they fight them. Embrace problems as blessings, allow them and accept them.

Then you will transcend them. You’ll find an entirely new way of being when everything is a blessing. When every moment is a gift, when every second is a joy, that is when your life is truly magnificent and incredible. You are invincible and unstoppable.

You Manifest And Create What You Want Whenever You Want

Some people mistake surrender and think it means giving up or giving in. I am not suggesting withdrawal or lack of action. You can swat a mosquito if you must. Surrender means understanding that this is the way things are, there may be a reason, or maybe not.

BUT this is how it is right now. You can take action and do whatever you feel inspired, led or intuit to do and move forward. Simply don’t be wedded to the outcome of having to manifest a certain absolute way. Allow for whatever to happen to happen. Get it? Allow!

Not resisting means you do not push back. You don’t fight it. You can take action without fighting. If you are traveling with the current in a canoe you can use the current to steer where you want to go without stopping the current. You go with the flow while steering.

You Always Go Where Your Thoughts Take You

The analogy may not be perfect, but hopefully it helps make the point. If you consider everything a blessing and opportunity you get to work on things and act on things you otherwise wouldn’t. That is a gift! You can create and attract too at the same time. Don’t fight!

Allow. Go with the flow while steering it in positive ways. Be grateful. Fill yourself up with passion and enthusiasm. Delight in everything and you will be attracting and creating more of it for yourself. You will be transforming everything when you celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

How To Solve Your Problems In Another Time Dimension

“One of the ways you can help yourself avoid future problems is by contingency planning.  You build a contingency plan by resolving the issue in future. Let’s use an example from the world of sales. Cold calling is something few people like and often abandon.

The reason for this is, even though you may be calling qualified ‘hot’ lead, the person on the other end of the phone is a stranger. That person ‘hot’, ‘warm’ or ‘cold’ frequently has requests for further information and objections. This can be difficult for the sales person.

The worst thing that can happen to a new sales person is to score big sales right out of the gate. While it is cause to celebrate and can help to increase confidence, too early of success means the salesperson doesn’t learn through trial and error experience. They learn one way.

Look Back And Smile On The Past – The Old Way Led To The New

They repeat the way that worked again and again. This results in hit or miss. Often, their sales, sadly, diminish. They can’t figure out what went wrong since they started off so well. Had they had some trials and tribulations they’d have learned multiple ways to sell.

So what you can do is visualize the sales call by phone or in person. See it going well. Fantastic. See yourself and the client or customer getting along and having great rapport. Imagine them and hear them say they will buy. Awesome, you made the sale. Anchor it.

Enjoy the feeling of success! Now, run scenarios in which each time you attempt to sell they come up with an excuse or objection. Watch and listen to how you overcome the objection. Imagine maintaining rapport and leading the client to a sale.

Stop Repeating Mistakes – Make New Ones – Fail Forward

Pick more and more difficult objections to resolve. Run scenario after scenario in your mind. Each time see yourself remain confident and resourceful while handling the objections satisfactorally.  Rehearse succeeding at overcoming any number of objections.

This is a good use of your mental skills. You imagine success. Then you imagine failure and how you overcome it. What do you think, say, and do that makes the difference? You can also role play with partners in real life. Here is another suggestion. The phone call.

You call. Introduce why you are there and they say not interested and hang up. OR they just hang up! How do you manage to make the next number of calls. Imagine yourself getting told ‘no’ and getting hung up on. Imagine yourself remaining resourceful. Feel it.

The Difference Between Ordinary And Extraordinary Is Practice

Feel resourceful. Every ‘no’ you imagine, let it make you more determined, more thrilled, more optimistic, more resourceful. What happens in real time is people get deflated. Find a way to take the ‘rejection’ and turn it into a positive resource that fuels you.

If you see yourself defeated in your mind you will be. That is what happens in real time. You can help prevent it by practicing in advance handling the tough times. Act as if you are resourceful and positive and can keep going. Rehearse maintaining these feelings.

Many people don’t include contingency planning in their visualizations and it is important. Imagine the obstacles and how you overcome them.  Also keep in mind whenever you have any difficulty that there is a time in the future when it won’t matter.

To Enjoy Success You Must Travel In Advance Of The World

There is a time coming, when what is happening now won’t matter any more.. At that time you can look back and see how the present less than glorious situation contributed to you, and benefited you in the long run.

It didn’t limit you though it may have seemed to at the time. Learn to appreciate these moments. Be grateful. Know that there are always plenty of opportunities if we remain open. Problems and rejection, hard times and obstacles all help us grow through experience. Without it we aren’t nearly as resourceful. Be thankful if success doesn’t happen too quickly. Learn, rehearse, make good habits and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

There Are Two Basic Emotions Feel Good And Feel Bad

There are two basic emotions. You can feel good or feel bad.  The goal is is to feel good most of the time.  Don’t think you have to feel blissed out the entire time. The goal is to feel a little bit better, the best you can. This is important to understand. Feel better.

If you’re feeling down  you want to move into feeling a little bit better. Move in the direction of feeling good. Move incrementally. If you’re down it isn’t likely you will make a gigantic leap into feeling incredible. Just move bit by bit toward feeling better. Get it?

You can always feel a little bit better. Even now. That is your goal to spend most of your time feeling the best you are able to. Keep moving  in the direction of feeling good. Feel good more often than not. Keep it simple. There is only feeling good or feeling bad.

There Is Always Some Good In Each Day – Find It Celebrate It

Ask yourself which you are feeling? If you are feeling bad do something to change it.  Do whatever you can to feel better. Move more. Go for a walk. Get out in nature. Do some gardening or something enjoyable outdoors. Notice the beauty and freshness.

Do yoga. Exercise.  Meditate. Read or listen to some uplifting material.  Find positive and inspiring people to hang around with. Attend an event. Go to a workshop.  Invest in yourself. Shake it up. Put a smile on your face. Make someone else smile.

Compliment  people. Speak only to bless, heal and prosper. Talk positive not about negative things. Help someone who has a problem that’s worse than yours. As long as you’re moving toward feeling a bit better you are raising your energy in the right direction.

Accentuate The Positive – Something Wonderful Will Happen

When you feel bad, have negative thoughts, or feel fears, worries and anxieties take that as a signal that something is off and you need to adjust. Adjust and correct and do those things that make you feel better. Keep heading in the direction.

As long as you’re heading in the right direction you’re making progress. Gratitude is a great way to get out of being stuck and feeling less than glorious. Look around at everything you can appreciate and express it. Delight in it. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Drop The Old Behold The New

“What stops us from leaping ahead and getting everything we want? Many people think it is what they do not know. That is incorrect. It isn’t what you don’t know that holds you back. It is what you do know that prevents you. Your mindset can be the limitation.

Science makes great strides and progresses by making a thesis and then trying to disprove it. If it can’t be disproved they accept it as a theory, until a better theory comes along to replace it. That is the nature of science, from theory to better theory. Progress is made.

Still, often times, the very people who explore the unknown, get wedded to what they already know, and forget their own scientific method. They state that something is impossible and can never be the case because of what they already know. Mindset traps us.

Going Into The Unknown Is How You Expand The Known

Even the best of us get caught in that mental trap. Scientists, on the forefront of progress can maintain something is impossible because they are relying on the science and studies of yesterday. Instead, of resisting they’d be better served by proposing a new theory.

The experts at doing things are often the very ones who tell us something can’t be done. It isn’t because of what we don’t know, because what we don’t know, we do not know. It is because of what we think we do know and we don’t. We can’t know everything.

Limitations exist mostly in our thinking. Those who make great breakthroughs aren’t limited by the known or the unknown. They remain open and positive. They can find or create a way. Often they are ridiculed and ostracized. Those who persist find the way.

Trust And Embrace The Unknown – Expect A Miracle

The same is true with each of us. We look to our history, our past, our prior results or lack of them, our outdated mental conditioning we adopted from others while growing up, and based on these less than useful assumptions decide we can’t do something.

We feel we don’t have what t takes or aren’t good enough. We blame ourselves or the world. We lose out. We miss opportunity because our focus isn’t on opportunity and what can be done, but on what isn’t working, why it isn’t working and what is wrong with us.

In order to do better we must go beyond what we know. We must forget and let go of limitations in our thinking. We must drop the conditioning that holds us back. Create new, positive, powerful thought habits and take inspired action to move ahead.

There Is No Failure There Is Only Feedback To Learn From

The past doesn’t equal the future. Learn from mistakes. Learn that you have abilities and resources within you that you have never, ever even begun to tap into, because your limited attention was on what was wrong and didn’t work. That is because of old conditioning!

Time to stop and decide a new unseen, unknowable way is possible. Time to put faith in you and jump light years ahead of where you are because you let go of everything that has held you back. Time to explore the unknown and discover how incredible you truly are.

If you don’t yet believe it RIGHTE THERE is an example of the limited thinking and conditioning you need to change. Stop believing the lies that say you can’t. Start believing you can. Then right now start doing something in a big, flamboyant, wonderful way.

You Can Always Find Or Create A Way – Become Invincible

Get jazzed. Feel thrilled. Get excited, enthused and joyful. Put a smile on your face. Sing, skip, dance! Move and shake things up. Put your energy into positive motion. Create what you want by discovering joy and passion and happiness that is right now.

Be grateful. Be thankful. Be positive. Be inspiring and motivating. Be alive for goodness sake. Raise the bar on your personal energy. You are more attractive and attract more when you do. Let go and let god as they say. Trust good things will happen. Make good things happen.

From your joy and passion create what you want. Stop focusing on the crap and the lack and the I can’t, the whining and complaining and blaming and excusing and take 100% responsibility for making good things happen. Make one good thing happen today.

Find Your Love Joy And Acceptance Of Yourself – And All Else 

Big or small. Do it. Do something positive that puts a smile on your face, someone else’s face and makes you both feel uplifted, Compliment someone, praise, give them a tiny gift. Enjoy everything around you. Find the good and the new. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
