Stop Working For Money!

“Apple CEO Tim Cook stated, ‘If you work only for money you will never be happy. You will never have enough.’ The article was posted on Facebook and many people responded complaining that he didn’t know what they were going through. The were mad at him.

It’s easy for people to miss the point when one is caught up in hardship. If all one is focused on is making ends meet, getting out of debt, and paying off bills one may have a skewed version of reality. That reality is hard. Lack fills the mind. Struggle is all one knows.

Make family, or love, or freedom or something else more important than money and work for that. Money won’t make you happy. Be happy first. Live for a larger purpose than lots of cash. Make your end result something valuable. Money isn’t really a good motivator.

You Are Already Rich – Notice All You Have That Money Cant’Buy

Wanting money either comes from lack mentality or greed mentality.  If you have a larger more important vision you will do whatever it takes, yes even struggle, to make ends meet and rise above. You will do it for the love of your family or your larger goal.

Money, seems to be a good motivator, for most of us, but it truly isn’t enough. When you seek fulfillment of a larger purpose, and as you improve your situations, you feel better. Feeling good about what you are seeking, feeling it is worthwhile, is a better motivator.

Actually, it works best if you feel better first. Then work at your larger purpose. If you feel good first it means your thoughts and feelings are aligned. It means your head is screwed on correctly so that your feelings and actions flow more easily and readily.

Outstanding People Have In Common – Absolute Sense Of Mission

Cook’s point seems to be if all you want is money there will never be enough. If you think money will save you and make you happy and free then you will always just want more.  Instead, look to something more valuable to fulfill you and pursue that. Greed isn’t great.

Pursue your larger vision first and money may follow. Working for money isn’t enough of a big reason but your children or your parents may be. It is difficult to listen to people who have a lot of money because we fall into the ‘that is easy for you to say’ syndrome.

‘You don’t know how we struggle’. My guess is (and I don’t know his history he could have been born to wealth, but if not) he worked hard to get where he is. Most successful business owners worked and struggled fiercely. Most don’t get a free ride to the top.

Some People Are So Poor – All They Have Is Money

Bottom line if you want to end money woes develop yourself. Educate yourself on how to make and handle money. That is good. Instead of seeking money seek to make yourself happy first. Get your head and heart in order. Pursue higher values than piles of cash.

Live your passion. Pursue your passions. That will keep you interested and dedicated. Your focus will be on what you love and enjoy instead of what you don’t have. We get what we focus on. Stay focused on good things. Be grateful for what you already have. Enjoy life to the fullest now. Don’t miss out on it. Live! Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

How To Speak And Write More Powerfully And Persuasively

I posted this previously, some time ago. However, it is useful to know and apply so I post it again. Study it and use it. Go deeper and learn more and your effectiveness will grow and grow. When you learn how to direct your own mind you become its master. Enjoy! Enjoy!

The following article I wrote for Joe Vitale long before he appeared in The Secret. It is based on my work from the 1980’s onward. The article is formatted as it was for Joe’s site and includes date and copyright. Truly, learn from this and master it. Benefits are great!

You may notice many things from this article that are common place today. They weren’t so common place back in the 80’s 90’s and early 21st Century. Much of my work is now widely used in other’s books and programs all around the world. This pleases me to no end. I’m glad to be able to help! The work made its way near and far.

Some even showed up in some popular movies. See if you can spot or recognize a particular reference from a wildly popular film.

How Questions Can Make Your Writing More Hypnotic  Article by Rex Steven Sikes

Did you know there are actually three languages inside the English language? That’s right, at least three!

There is the language of pictures or how things appear, how we see or view them in our mind as well as out there in the real world.

Second, there is the language of sounds or what we say to ourselves and what we hear on the inside.

And third there is the language of feelings, like when something wonderful grabs hold of us and makes us feel warm and special inside.

Knowing the three languages and incorporating them into your hypnotic writing makes your appeals even more powerful. Words like “paint, picture, imagine, bright, dim, flash,” are visual words.

Words that convey sound or auditory information are words like “discuss, hear, harmony, tell, say to yourself”. And words that help us feel things are words like “warm, cold, shudder, feel, grasp, walk through, get a hold of, heart to heart”.

By spicing up your writing with these words you help others begin to imagine more clearly what you are saying because you appeal to at least three of our five senses. And that’s a tasty thing to do that will spice up your writing and make it more vivid to the people who are reading your work.

But that’s not all there is. There is something even more incredible, that directs the human mind to pay attention. Do you know what that is?

Not yet, but I have just given you some great examples. It is the power of questions. You see questions direct the mind. That is true whether you are asking a question of yourself or another person.

Perhaps you say “Yeah, who says?” See there, you just asked a question! And the incredible thing is that this is what our brains are designed to do: Ask and answer questions posed to it and find solutions and new behaviors.

Brains love questions! That’s what brains do all day log. They go in search of things they can do that make life more interesting. Your brains already know how to search for and find information. The key is learning how to use questions to direct your mind in powerful and positive ways.

The problem with most people is that they already use questions to get results they don’t want. They ask things like ‘Why do bad things always happen to me?’ or ‘How come I never do anything right?’ or ‘How come others always get ahead?’ or ‘Why am I so stupid?’

And guess what? Your brain knows exactly where to go in your personal history to find the answers. What your brain does is go on a search, and then comes back with things like ‘Well, it’s because you stuck your head in the toaster when you were four years old’, or ‘You didn’t have the right kind of teachers, or parents,’ or ‘Bad things always happen to good people’.

You see, it is automatic. Ask a question of the brain and it answers in a great variety of ways. In fact the brain keeps on working on the questions long after the answers start being delivered. You know how that is, don’t you? You certainly do if you ever experienced that critical voice that keeps ragging and nagging on you long into the night.

Would you like to find a way to end that? Would you like to be able to direct your mind in powerful, positive ways? Do you want to be more influential and positively persuasive in person—and in your writing?

The key to having more wonderful things happen within you is to help the brain help you by redirecting what it already does well. If instead of asking questions like the negative ones above, we learn to instead begin asking questions about how wonderful things are, then the brain has a positive direction to follow.

And by focusing our attention on what we want instead of what we don’t want our brains can help deliver the good things to us. There is a rule that states, ‘What you focus on you get.’ So if you are focused on negative questions and negative things, the brain goes “okay I can deliver that”.

The brain isn’t biased. Good or bad, it just does what it knows. So we need to grab hold of it and utilize it to our advantage by redirecting it and then letting it run.

For example, you ask this instead: ‘I wonder how soon before I begin to realize how talented I am?’ or ‘I wonder how quickly I can realize how fortunate I am?’ or ‘How delighted will I be to discover my powers of persuasion increasing rapidly?’

You see, when you direct your mind to what you want, your brain says, ‘I don’t know the answer but I’ll go and find out.’ And that is the key! You ask a question which sends your brain in the direction of what is positive that you want to have, but to which you don’t know the answer yet.

If you are familiar at all with powerful hypnotic languaging, you will already notice the kinds of useful hypnotic language patterns I use in these questions. If not, well then be happy there is more for you to learn which will help improve what you do.

The incredible thing is your brain already knows exactly what to do. For example, if I ask you “Where did you get the shirt you are wearing as you read this?” Your brain probably knows what store, when, where, or that it was a gift. It won’t answer me by telling me you were abducted by aliens when you were a teenager or some other kind of frivolous answer.

It knows how to go after the class of information you present it with. And realize that I directed your mind with a question to the kind of information I was after. If others were listening to us as we spoke, their minds would be directed to where you got your shirt, as well. This is powerful to know although it may seem obvious.

So the key for your own personal improvement is asking yourself questions which lead your mind in useful directions. If you want positive results, you ask something like ‘How soon can I begin to discover the wonderful results I am already getting? And as I begin to notice those how many more can I discover that delight and amaze me?’ You would do the same if you were talking to, or writing to, another person.

Now let’s say you are selling another person a pen. And you ask, ‘Want to buy my pen?’ The person obviously can answer with ‘yes’ or ‘no’. Because the question you asked didn’t lead to further exploration. It lead only to a single “I want it” or “I don’t.”

But notice if you ask ‘Do you know how delighted you will be when you buy my pen?’ You aren’t directly asking them to buy it. (Well, in fact you are using another hypnotic pattern known as embedded commands). You are focusing them on something they can’t yet know the answer to: And that is the amount of delight they may experience.

I call this Mental Aikido. You side-step the issue of buying by focusing them on a positive attribute of owning the pen: the delight. So they can say ‘no, I don’t know how delighted I will be,’ in which case you have a door open to go ahead and demonstrate it for them.

Or they say ‘Yes I know how delighted I will be,’ and then they go to buy it. Or they give you further information that would be necessary for you to know to go ahead and make the sale. Any which way you cut it, you now have a powerful tool in your hands to help you influence and sell. Follow?

You can influence others by directing your own brain! In fact, when you learn how to direct your own brain and use its already existing features in a user friendly way, you will enjoy more influence, power and happiness in your life. That’s because you turn your brain into a powerful ally. And you certainly would want to do that, don’t you?

While this method ofDirected Questions™ is something I teach for incredible personal power and life enhancement, I thought you might be interested in a strategy for being able to get your readers to really respond to your hypnotic writing. So here is something else you can use to really add to your hypnotic writing abilities:

These next questions are ones to ask yourself to help you become more creative and begin to be able to paint word pictures for others, so they can readily see what it is you are talking about, so that they more readily feel like going ahead with what you propose.

The brain and eyes are wired together. This means that when we move our eyes we access certain portions of our brain. When we look up we mostly access the visual portions of the brain. When we look laterally side to side or down left we mostly access the auditory portions of our brain.

When we look down to the right we mostly access the kinesthetic or feeling portions of our brain. We actually access more than just these areas but we access these areas in greater portions when we move our eyes in this manner. Hence, we can learn to move our eyes systematically to gain greater access to the wonderful information stored in our brain.

Step 1. Look up (don’t move your head, just your eyes) and say ‘What do I want to show my readers?’ ‘What is it I want them to see clearly and how can I best get them to picture that in their mind?’ Spend a few seconds entertaining that question while looking up, entertaining how you can help your reader picture in their mind what it is you want them to see.

Step 2. Now move your eyes down to the left and ask ‘What is it I want them to say to themselves as they read it?’ and ‘How best can I tell them what it is I what them to really pay attention to?’ Again spend a few seconds in your own mind entertaining how you can best help your readers say those things to themselves that you would want them to say as they read your writing.

Step 3. Now move your eyes down right and ask ‘What is it I want them to feel as the read my writing?’ and ‘How best can I get them to have these feelings?’ And spend a few moments getting a grasp of what you want them to feel as they progress through your written material.

Once you have asked those questions, now take a short break and do something else for a little while. Let your unconscious mind work on it. I used to go watch TV and get caught up in a show. But soon I would find the wheels start churning, and I would hop over to the typewriter (in those days) and begin writing. Things began to flow.

If ever I got stuck, I simply asked the questions again and took another break. Later I would go back and edit and re-write the paper to polish it. But this unlocked the creative juices in a very particular and powerful way.

You ask yourself how you can show them in your writing, tell them and get them to feel in your writing. You can additionally ask ‘What is it I really need to say to get them to buy? What do they really need to know? How can I best word my letter to really get my points across? How soon can I find the words and ideas flowing through me in a way that amazes and delights me?’

Or ask any variation of those questions that leads you to the results you want. Then take a break and let your unconscious mind go to work. But remember to come back to the project after your unconscious has had a little time to work on it for you. Often I found that once, maybe two or three times, were necessary to get it the way I really wanted it.

Remember you want your reader to be able to picture themselves using your product. You want them to imagine what it would be like to have it or to miss out on it. You want to paint vivid detail in the mind’s eye of your reader to help them to have the feelings of wanting, desire, or need for your product. Or to feel that’s enough to stop whatever they are currently doing and follow through on what your proposal is.

You want them to say ‘yes’ inside their head and hear positive sounds and voices as they read through your letter. Yeah this is great, this makes sense, wow I can do this yes. And you want them to have the feelings of desire, certainty and taking action.

You really want to take them by the hand and walk them through this process. Combine this with your other hypnotic writing skills and you become a real powerhouse.

So remember to ask the questions which direct your mind to what you want your reader to see, hear and feel. Direct your reader to what you want to be able to show them, tell them and help make them feel. You do this by using questions to direct your mind to what you need to pay attention to first in order to influence some body else.

By previewing in your mind what you need them to see, hear and say, and feel to themselves, you can begin to paint pictures with your words that will get them excited about your product or service in a way that makes them feel they have to have it.

And this truly is hypnotic, isn’t it?

The Universe Abhors Desperate People Just Like You!

“Have you ever dated a person who was needy, desperate and clingy. It really isn’t much fun is it? They may tend to be doubtful, fearful, always checking asking, ‘you love me right?’ Sadly, their insecurity and need to be needed or wanted often drives us or others away.

Have you ever known or been with any one like that? Have YOU ever been like that? I mention this because that same uncomfortableness occurs with the Law Of Attraction (LOA). Consider this; your neediness is actually keeping what you want away. It prevents you.

Sometimes we want something so bad; a relational partner; a career; fame; fortune; a better job; to get out of debt; a new car; that we don’t get it precisely because we DO need it. It may seem counterintuitive, but we actually push away what we want to attract.

Change Your Thoughts And You Change You And The World

That’s why I started this blog post with a provocative title and dating question. If it makes you uncomfortable to be with a person who is desperate, perhaps, it makes the universe uncomfortable as well. For demonstrating my point I personify the universe AS an example.

I don’t think it is the universe or god not letting you have it because you want it but that your energy, instead of attracting and creating it, actually holds it at bay. Neediness tends to repel people. So, perhaps, it is the same with anything we desperately want. Get it?

The idea is to focus on what you want. Desire it intently. Want it badly as a preference but don’t need it. Be able to be okay without it. Be happy if it shows up or doesn’t. When you are feeling that way, vibrating that way, it has a better chance of coming to you. Get it?

Don’t Believe Everything You Think – Choose Thoughts Wisely 

Don’t we get annoyed with demanding, inpatient, petulant people who demand it must be this way and now? Aren’t we put off by people who are needy, clingy and desperate? Worriers bother us. So become a champion attractor and creator instead. Resolve to do it.

Know what you want. Want it. Learn to be totally and completely happy whether or not it shows up. How? This IS the art of learning to manifest what you want by being grateful. Be happy with what you already have. All of it! The good and not so good. Find the blessings!

Focus on the good in everything. Find the positive side to your troubles, challenges, situations and bothersome people. Live with zest, zeal, passion and enthusiasm. Be thankful for all of it. When you are you have a different quality about you. You vibrate differently.

Happiness Doesn’t Bring Gratitude – Gratitude Brings Happiness

You are happy and fun filled. You exude good feelings and positive thoughts and expectations. You know things will ultimately work out for the best no matter what. You have faith. You believe. You are certain. You take action and work to make your dreams come true.

You live qualitatively different right now! In doing so you open up your own neurology to take better advantage of opportunity you might otherwise miss. I’ve discussed this many times before. The brain’s job is to find matches with what we already believe. It works.

You can transform your life when you start living as a victor instead of a victim. Stop losing out and start winning by adopting that winning feeling first. You have to believe you are going to win in order to actually win. Once you do you open up grand doorways.

How You Vibrate Is What The Universe Echoes Back To You

The Secret is to live with passion. Be grateful. Delight in the tiniest moments. Make your problems mole hills and reframe them as lessons and opportunities. Put fear and doubt and need into the past. Be thrilled. Be excited. Be thankful. Be expressive AND celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

You Are Stupid If You Keep Doing This! Stop It!

“Haven’t you suffered long enough? Aren’t you tired with the way things are? If everything is great, then great! However, if you want it to be different but can’t yet figure out how to do it I have good news for you. You can live life on your own terms and make it so.

How? You have to switch your thinking from non-supportive to supportive. You need to develop supportive habits and replace old ones that haven’t worked well for you. Yes, it will take some work. It may not happen over night but you can do it. The time has come.

Begin by replacing your poverty thinking. I don’t just mean lack thinking about money although that is a good place to correct now too. Begin by steering your thoughts away from ‘I can’t’ and asking yourself, ‘why things suck’ to ‘I can’ and ‘I can improve this.’

A Negative Thought Will Never Give You A Positive Life

Move from poverty thinking to prosperity thinking. I don’t mean wishing or rubbing a magic lamp. I mean thinking that you are able to learn to make a difference. You can change your situation. If you don’t know how you can and will learn how. Begin right here. I can!

Then repeat these thoughts. Whenever you find yourself thinking otherwise, stop, take a deep breath or two and start changing to more productive thinking. As you do you will develop an awareness of when you automatically go negative. Eventually you’ll cease it.

You will begin to eliminate the negative and begin to think positive supportive thoughts. Face it, no one does much by thinking, ‘I can’t do it. It won’t work. Nothing ever works out right for me. I don’t have enough money.’ It just doesn’t help you unless it propels you to fix it.

Train Your Mind To See The Good In Every Situation – Be Positive

If you don’t fix it you are being stupid. You are living as a victim of your own conditioned thinking instead of taking charge and changing your life for the better. Why do I say you are stupid? Because YOU can do something about it but don’t. Get it?

Tough Love! It’s time to switch from less than glorious thinking to glorious thinking. Time to start thinking, feeling and acting better. When you do you get better results. It is all up to you. Don’t wait. Start now. Develop powerful productive positivel habits that serve you to live the life you want. Be grateful you can. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

What The Patriots’ Super Bowl Win Means For You

“Did you see that Super Bowl Game? Was that amazing or what? Yes, I know some fans are very disappointed but still you have to admit that was one heck of an incredible game AND upset. Tom Brady, 39 years old, broke all records! WOW! What a way to go! A SUPER bowl!

It was incredible! The Boston Patriots prove it ain’t over until it is over. Keep playing until you can’t. Play your very best. You might just win. If not you will have done your best. You can be proud of that. The Patriots’ win demonstrates commitment and perseverance.

Tom Brady, called too old, even ‘long in the tooth’ played an incredible game. The Patriots came back from a 25 point deficit to win over the Atlanta Falcons. It proves you are never too old, never too young, never too anything, to not do your best and go for it.

Winners Aren’t Those Who Never Fail – Winners Just Never Quit

Wherever you are, whatever your age, nationality, religion, gender, whatever preferences you have, don’t matter. You can accomplish whatever you want. Have the will to win. Believe you can. Work hard to make it happen. Never give up! Do your best. Act like a champion.

Both teams were top of their game this past year. The best teams played off. Only one can take the trophy but both deserve kudos for playing hard and well and doing their best. You do too when you do your best. Never give up. Never give in. Keep at it and prevail.

Take this as a lesson. You can accomplish great things when your heart and mind are in on it. Steel your will. Dedicate yourself. Believe in you and do your best. It ain’t over until it is over. You never ever fail unless you quit too early. Keep going. Keep learning. Keep doing.

Champions Keep Playing Until They Get It Right – Never Quit

Be glad that you can play the game. Enjoy the challenges. The tougher the competition the more the game is thrilling. Accept challenge and obstacle but don’t let it detour you. ‘When the going gets tough, the tough get going’, said coach Lombardi. It applies.

Who do you think had more mind power going for them as the Patriots narrowed the lead. They must think ‘we are gaining on them’ while the Falcons might think ‘oh no they are catching up’. Frankly, I don’t know what they either thought but I can guess.

Focus on what you want to make happen not on what you don’t want. Speak only about that which you want to make happen. Think and visualize what you want to happen. Get it? Fill your mind with the results you want then go for them. While you do, celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Do This One Thing And Claim Greater Power And Control!

“Many people do not want to face the fact that everything we do is by choice. Though science estimates we are 99.5% or better unconsciously automated by thinking, feeling and behavioral habits, we acquired while growing  up, we still have some ability to choose.

Mostly, we have the ability to choose to change our habits and neurologically rewire our thinking, feeling and behaving. That is where we find our power. When we replace the conditioning we acquired while growing up we become free. Yup, truly free!

We recondition ourselves with supportive thoughts, feelings and behaviors that serve us better than the old ones. Some people don’t believe this is possible and remain a victim of their conditioning. Others step forward and decide to do whatever it takes to change.

Think And Speak Positive And Positive Things Will Happen

The point is we still have some choice left in us. That tiny portion of conscious choice is an incredible gift. Because of it we can determine to accomplish many incredibly things. Therefore, it is important we use it wisely, productively and positively. Aim it for good results!

One important exercise in awareness and developing positive control and power is to begin to listen to what you say. Listen and make changes. Do not say anything that you do not want to become true for you. Whether you think this is a possibility or not.

Adopt the mental frame that it is. Imagine your words are powerful and even magical. Whatever you say will manifest. Therefore, pretend anything you say comes true AND do not say anything you don’t want to come true. Only speak what you want to manifest.

Talk More About Your Blessings Than You Do About Your Burdens

Choose your words. Choose what you say to yourself silently and out loud to others. Become aware that you can choose to rephrase and even rethink it. Don’t allow yourself to speak anything other than what you choose. When you choose you exercise your power.

Do it. Try it on. Listen and become aware. Speak only to bless, heal and prosper. Put a positive watchdog or guard before your lips. If you utter something that isn’t what you want go ahead, change it or re-speak it. Do this for at 30 days consistently. Be rigorous.

A couple things will happen. You will become so much more aware of your automated thoughts and things you say. You will notice how NOT positive you are. You will notice how what you say supports what you don’t have or the problems that repeatedly occur.

Speak Victory Not Defeat – What You Say Is What You Get

You will notice things changing for the better. You will notice yourself speaking in a more targeted and productive way. You will get clearer on what you want. You will become more positive and potentially more productive. Everything can change! Stick with it.

My hope for you is you discover you true power and your true self. You can and will. I hope you will stay with it and make it a life long habit. If you do you will discover things you never realized possible. Happy journey. Have fun. Be thankful and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Unless You Do This You Are Bound To Fail!

“For nearly 40 years I have asked this question in articles, presentations and seminars near and far, ‘What is it that stops most people?’ What is it that prevents people from being happy, having the career they want, a great relationship and living their dreams?

Some answer fear. Some say doubt. Others answer procrastination. Apathy some say. Others chime in struggle, it’s too hard. Failure, they give up. I get many similar answers. What is the bottom line? What are all these made of? What is common among these?

Thoughts. A thought. A mental packet of elctro-chemical energy is what stops most people. People think they are afraid. They have thoughts of doubt; they think it is too hard. They tried and are convinced they can’t succeed. They think, ‘I’ll do it later.’

Who You Think You Are Or Are Not Can Hold You Back

This is why I have been a champion for gaining control of what goes on in your head, between your ears, and in your body. People allow themselves to lose out, miss out, not have what they want and don’t even try because of what they think repeatedly day in and day out.

The truth is this! ALL IT IS IS A HABIT! You think it otherwise? Of course, you do AND that IS the point. People have learned lines of thinking that they repeat blindly throughout the years that determine the course of their lives and they do not change it.

They think the same thing over and over and wonder why life doesn’t change. IT WON’T either unless people change what they learned to do so well. In order to change one needs to know a changes is necessary. One needs to become aware. Awareness!

Discipline Is Your Friend Not Your Enemy – Create Good Habits

Then one needs to know what to change and change it. If you are engaged in a non-supportive or destructive habit then you must first realize it is the habit causing the problems and replace the habit with a better, supportive productive one. Get it? You must do something.

If you do nothing everything remains the same. Some people try many things, they change jobs, they try to diet, they change partners, they move to different locations BUT their thinking remains the same. That is why they marry the same person again and again.

That is why they find themselves repeating the same mistakes in different places. Their thinking remained the same. Take charge of your thinking and you can begin to change everything for the better. You can make improve your life. You can improve everything.

The Only Difference Between A Good And Bad Day Is Attitude

After all it is only a thought. Thoughts can be changed. The thoughts you think are the basis for your feelings and your actions. What you think and believe create your reality, your present and your tomorrow. Your thoughts form your experiences.

Learn to change your thoughts! Learn to manage your thoughts. Learn to take charge of your thinking and you will improve your life! Everything can begin to change when you choose what you think. You win when you tell your brain what to think instead of your brain telling you. Take charge! Choose! Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Life Isn’t Difficult Or Complicated When You Do This

“Have you ever feel life is complicated?  Do you sometimes feel overwhelmed? Do you get discouraged from time to time? If you answer yes, there is something you can do to free yourself from these feelings and move ahead the way you want more easily.

Remember this. Keep it in mind. Focus on it. Practice it moment to moment. You get what you focus on. Taking charge of life first begins by taking charge of your mind. To be successful and happy in life you need to control your thinking and gain the upper hand. You can do it!

It is not complicated. It is not always easy but it is absolutely doable. When you become aware of feeling other than you want examine your thinking. If it is negative shift your thoughts from what you are thinking about to something more positive. Feelings are a sign.

Don’t Limit Yourself – You Can Go As Far As You Think You Can

They let you know when you thinking isn’t useful for you. When you thinking sucks you feel it. Celebrate that you have such a wonderful alarm system. It gets your attention with yucky feelings so you can change them. Sadly, most people have learned to wallow in them.

You don’t have to. That is not what they are intended for. Acknowledge, accept and change them. Steer them to what you prefer instead. Bit by bit. Gradually, if you practice it and do it, you will learn the knack. It will get easier and easier. Just stick with it.

The best way to do this is to practice the positive thoughts in advance when you don’t need them. They will be very effective during practice and then later when you do need them. In doing this you build your habit for thinking positively and powerfully.

Good Things Come To Those Who Act And Make Them Happen

Your habits determine results. It begins with your thoughts, which produce feelings, which in turn produce or further the thoughts you think. If positive, and you feel good, you will have more positive thoughts. If negative, you feel bad and, more negativity results.

Your feelings determine your actions. Your actions determine the results you want. If you want great rewarding results begin with positive and powerful thinking. Get it? Practice positive thoughts, called affirmations, when you don’t need them. Plus, when you do.

Practice asking yourself Directed Questions™, positive questions so worded to direct your thinking easily and effortlessly to what you want, and visualizing positive results. Morning and night and anytime you have a free moment take the time and re-affirm.

Whether You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You’re Right

It will work wonders. If you do this daily soon it will become a practical habit that will help you increase your joy in life and accomplish what you want to accomplish. Remember, you always get what you focus on. You become what you think about most.

If your thoughts most of the time are positive, happy, productive thoughts that is what you get in return. Why? Because you produce it. You make it happen. Your thoughts lead to your feelings which lead to your actions and then the results you get. You evolved you!

Keep this in mind. Life IS simple. You create your experience by your own thinking and feeling patterns. What you believe about yourself and the world is what becomes true for you. Choose the best thoughts and practices and you can make your life marvelous. Do it! Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

“In the last blog you learned the key to personal change is to get take control of your thinking. Steer it to the positive and you will feel better. As you feel better you will become more productive and get better results. That is it in a nutshell. Create it inside then outside.

Become positive, imagine it is possible in your mind first, and then create it. You make it happen. It all begins with the thought and then you bring it about. If you don’t fully believe it you keep affirming it and visualizing it until you do. That is the process of autosuggestion.

That is how it works. For some readers they may not be ready yet to embrace the notion, If you are ready congratulations because then you can make your experience more to your liking. If not, well, you will find out one day when, perhaps, you do become ready.

You Can Learn Something New And Useful And Good Everyday

There are many accelerated learning approaches. There are numerous whole brain learning activities and exercises. I incorporated these into my training program so participants could learn well, thoroughly and completely, while enjoying the process.

They still could be challenged and stimulated to grow and could do so in a friendly, fear free, stress-free environment. The learner mindset and values validated and appealed to. At the same time the learner was encouraged to try on new ways to absorb material.

The learner could evolve and enjoy. From time to time I share some of these approaches here. I have them in my programs and upcoming books but one of the most useful mindsets to adopt is ‘I can learn to do anything easily and well’. I can mentality makes a huge difference.

Kids Learn More Through Play And Modeling Than By Instruction

You may not believe it at first but if you follow what I suggest, AND what others have suggested since time immemorial, you will come to believe it the more you repeat it to yourself enthusiastically with great emotion. The more positively charged the quicker you get it.

Go back and read through my blogs. Read Napoleon Hill, Wallace Wattles, Ernest Holmes and other great thought leaders. You can accomplish so much more when you take charge of your thinking.

Change your thinking and you change your world. You can get better results. Use affirmations, use my Directed Questions™, read and listen to inspirational material, sing, dance, play, have fun, hang out with powerfully positive people. All of this will have a great effect.

Things You Take For Granted Other People Are Praying For

Practice gratitude! Probably the fastest, most enjoyable, life altering practice you can engage in is finding things to appreciate and feeling blessed. The more you look the more you find. The more you find the more you will find and the better you will feel. It is amazingly simple.

When everything becomes a true blessing the pain ceases. You become freer than you can imagine. The struggles cease. It isn’t that the environment or causes magically change it is that YOU change. When you change everything changes. YOU make the difference.

Your attitude, mindset, make all the difference. When you realize this then the ‘no pain no gain’ approach can end. You can learn and grow more rapidly through gratitude and celebration. You can have fun, delight, be surprised and enjoy. So do it. Discover it for your self. You will as you begin to celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

No Pain No Gain Is BS! Stop The Insanity

“Have you ever felt that sometimes you needed to be hit over the head with a lesson before you learned it? Have you struggled to learn, grow or change? Has making changes been frustrating, difficult or painful? Would you like it to be easier?

Mindset makes a difference. Attitude is everything. Many of us have grown up with the notion ‘no pain, no gain’. While the spirit behind this notion is admirable, and while it does pace a certain reality, it doesn’t have to always be this way. In fact, this way could be rare.

Instead, for many of us, we grew up struggling. Sometimes as we did we were told without pain there is no gain. We internalized the notion. We adopted that mindset. We grew to think it was true most of the time or that was the way of the world. It need not be.

Play Is The Highest Form Of Research – Always Keep On Playing

It can be otherwise. Learning, growing, and changing can be easy, fun and exciting. It needn’t be a struggle. It is time we learned and embraced this. Some lessons may come hard or at a price but for the most part we can learn to enjoy transformation and have it pain free.

If we brought up our children with this mindset and provided rich, varied learning situations and experiences they would learn quicker, easier, with few problems and issues. This requires our educators and administrators to be flexible and keep the child in mind first.

It doesn’t happen that way for many reasons although through the years there have been successful programs. Learning can be fun! For our purposes here, it is important that the learner adopt the mindset that learning and  life can be a blessing and a joy. Thought matters.

Once You Stop Learning You Start Dying – Stay Open And Enjoy

Get hold of your thinking and take control. Steer it to the positive and you will feel better. As you feel better you will become more productive and get better results. That is it in a nutshell. Become positive, decide what is in your mind first and then create it.

Next blog, I’ll share more on how you can transform how you learn and change. For now, go back and read through articles on managing your thoughts, attitude and emotions. Practice the exercises you learn here on doing affirmations or Directed Questions™.

Implement these and you will discover yourself evolving in new positive ways. You will be in charge. For some readers it will be the first time in their lives they have taken charge of their lives. This is a big thing! Congratulations to you when you decide to be in charge.
