It Isn’t Enough To Want It! Lot’s Of People Want It: You Must Become It!

“You know what you want AND you have wanted it a good long time. Still you don’t have it. You can continue to want it and still not get it. Wanting it isn’t enough. It isn’t the answer. There is something else.

Some people try hard to make the Law Of Attraction work. They stick with it awhile then abandon it stating, ‘it doesn’t work’ or more accurately, they ‘couldn’t figure out how to make it work’.

IT always is working but knowing how to work with it is something different. Gravity is always in operation and knowing how to work with it is different if you want to make a airplane take off.

Awareness And Understanding Are The First Steps

Consider this for a moment. Imagine you live in a land where there are no bicycles. Never saw one. They do not exist. One day you pick up a book and you read about bicycling.

It captivates you and you long to ride one. It becomes a deep passion and your read everything you can get your hands on about riding a bike. You imagine doing it. You desire it. You want it.

Still, you have not ever ridden one. Knowing about and wanting to do are not equivalent with having the experience. You know about riding the bike but aren’t riding one.

Your Desire Must Become White Hot – Then You Must Have Faith

It is not a perfect analogy but similarly, some people know all about the Law Of Attraction without ever actually tapping into it. Do you understand this? They want it. They know about it. But they aren’t it.

Remember, we don’t attract what we want. We attract what we are. We attract what we ALREADY are. If you want to be different in the future you must imagine already being different right now.

You must BE it to attract it. You want money you must be wealth first. You want happiness you must be happy first. You want success you must be success first. It begins within you. You become it first.

You Must Become What You Want To Attract

In your mind and in your soul you must already be it. It isn’t a question of whether you will or won’t get it because you already are it. You are that which you seek. That is why you ultimately find it.

As long as it is only a mental fascination you will not easily manifest what you want. This is why some people give up. They are interested but that is as far as they take it. They want but they aren’t it, yet.

Everything in these blog posts is designed and intended for you to discover how to become it. You must make it your study. You must do what it takes and you will unlock it. You must become it!

To Achieve Something You Have Never Achieved Before …

It is as close to you as your breath even when it seems miles away. Remember, you become what you think about most often. What is it you are thinking about? What is your attention on most of the time?

Your feelings are your indicators. How do you feel most of the time? You must feel your best most of your time. How can you feel your best? Turn your attention to what you are grateful for!

Gratitude is the attitude of feeling well-being. When you are grateful for all now you are making room for more. Fill your mind with gratitude and positive thoughts. Enjoy, delight, feel it and be it.

… You Must Become Someone You Have Never Been Before

Act as if you already have that which you want. Feel what it likes to be the person you want to become. Feel what it is like to do and have the good you want in the future, right now. Experience the feelings.

Pretend! The mental work IS feeling work. Feelings drive the show. It isn’t enough to know it intellectually you must become it. Then you attract what you already are. Like only attracts like.

Pretend it inside! You did this as a child. Feel it Fully! Live it! Be It!

It makes perfect sense when you stop to think about it. If gold only attracted gold, and you are lead thinking you want to be gold, you aren’t gold. Feel like gold and you become more like gold.

Become The Rock The River Can’t Wash Away

Get it? Your feelings are what make it work. Your thoughts precede your feelings. You will never feel it unless you think it right in the first place. From thinking comes feeling. From feeling comes action.

From action comes habits. Automatic, reliable actions help you make it happen. From habits come results. From your mind to reality you can make it happen when you become it. Like attracts like.

Act as if. Fill your mind daily. See it, hear, it, feel it, taste it, smell it. Live it over and over, want it so much it becomes burning desire. Feel yourself IT. Know you will have it because you make it happen.

What You Think You Become – What You Feel You Attract

Then you can get it. Then you create it and attract it. Then all aspects of you are aligned to have it. It is about being congruent. Some use the word vibrations. Your vibrations must match what you desire.

That is what it means to be congruent. It is a match. Beyond that it is all oars in the water paddling in the same direction, working together at the same time to get to the same destination. Get it?

Enjoy the process it goes faster. Trust it when you can’t see it and it goes faster. Live it and feel it and it goes faster. How you think, feel act, speak and live determines your successes. Be it! Be gratitude, be love, be kindness, be wealthy, be happy, be love, be delight! Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

It’s Best To Stop Fighting And Surrender To Success

“Is success a struggle? Do you work hard but feel like you are spinning your wheels? Napoleon Hill wrote ‘Think And Grow Rich’ because he discovered modeling and studying 520 of the world’s wealthiest successful people that it was 99% mental and 1% effort.

With the correct mindset action becomes inspired. With the right attitude and beliefs supporting you, you are able to more effectively plan and work your plan, smartly. Work becomes pleasure. You don’t feel like you are working. You love what you do. Still, you work at it!

He pointed out that first you must know your purpose clearly. It should become a passionate burning desire, and you must absolutely believe you can and will make it happen with certainty. Then you must never give up. Learn from obstacles and persist by will power.

Will Power Is A Muscle – The More You Use It The Stronger It Gets

I want to shift our focus today to will power. There are many things Hill added into the mix that are important. Will power is one many people miss today, or so it seems. I also want to provide you with a way of doing things that helps move your forward with your goals.

When I use the term will power I mean that by an act of will you continue on toward your goal or ultimate purpose. It is you doing it from inner strength and fortitude. When I say control your thoughts and persist through will power I mean keep at it. As I think Hill did.

When negative thoughts arise you can acknowledge the thought, even thank it.  Appreciation goes a long way. Then shift your attention to the opposite, the positive thought, think on what you want instead. Re-focus you attention of what you want to include.

Stop Saying I Wish And I Want And I Hope – Start Saying I Will

Drop what you want to exclude. Don’t fight the negative thoughts. Accept, thank and let go. What you resist persists. Don’t wage battle, instead re-direct your attention. Energy flows where your attention goes. Yes, you may have to re-direct any number of times at first.

Eventually, you train you brain, your subconscious, how to work the way you want it to. It is a conditioning process. It is a training process. Be dedicated. Be committed. Be rigorous. Be persistent. BUT you don’t have to fight yourself. It is better if you don’t.

Be gentle. Be accepting. Be forgiving. Be in favor of you. Be encouraging. Be kind. Be friendly. Pat yourself on the back for whatever you do. Even when you don’t do it as you want. You did it however you did it at the time. There is no blame in that. Accept it.

What You Focus On Expands – You Get What You Focus On

Frustration, anger, blame and self-loathing don’t get you where you want to be faster. In fact those tend to prevent you from changing swiftly and easily. So use will power to carry you through and to stick with it but don’t be hard on yourself. Be committed and gentle.

Strength can be many things besides force. Let go. Learn flexibility. Bend don’t break. Shift your attention away from negative thinking toward positive thinking by focusing on what you want, what you like, what you enjoy, what you are grateful for. Place attention there.

Withdraw your attention from what you don’t like, what feels bad, what you don’t want, what is upsetting, what you want to eliminate or exclude and turn it toward what feels better. Place it on what feels the best. The goal: feel as best you can for as much of your time.

When You Stop Struggling – You Float 

If you have to do it 10 times or 100 times a day so what? In the process you are moving from the less than glorious to the glorious. You are shifting your awareness, your attention, your focus, you energy, your vibrations to something positive and good feelings.

You are training yourself to pay attention and enjoy good thoughts and feelings. Eventually, this will become your default setting. You’ll wire in new neural pathways. The negative processes will re-write into positive ones. You’ll develop new success habits of thought.

From a mindset that is predominantly positive you can then accomplish your purpose. Your mindset and attitude, your thoughts and feelings, your beliefs support you. Your act because it feels right. Your actions become inspired and enjoyable instead of dreaded.

Focus: Start Being Positive About What Is Right

Because your thoughts, feelings and actions align you develop positive habits and begin getting more positive results. You have moved from the less than glorious results into new and glorious ones. You trained yourself into having patterns that support you.

So be gentle. Don’t fight it. Go with the flow. When the water is raging go with the flow. People drown more quickly fighting the current. It exhausts them. Going with the current. You can seek to swim toward shore eventually. Keep going in the right direction.

Get it. Let the current carry you too. Use the momentum you create to keep moving forward easily. Stop resisting, keep persisting. All the while enjoy. Delight, be grateful. Discover what you can presently appreciate. Fill yourself with gratitude and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

The Number 1 Way To Stop Screwing Up And Live Successfully

“The bottom line if you want your life to be different you need to do different things. That is it. It is all up to you. You can’t do the same crap again and again and expect it to work out differently. You can’t focus on how lousy things are and expect it to be wonderful.

If you want it to be wonderful you must make it wonderful. You must take charge and do it. Think positive, be positive, feel good, take action and practice and create success habits. I know you want me to tell you that you can sit in a chair and wish it well but you can’t.

Okay, you can. I’m the first person to tell you to expect that to work. If you believe it, as the placebo effect and research on beliefs and expectations indicate, it could happen. It could happen now or 50 years from now or not at all. If that is how you want to spend time.

To Master Your Life Control The Mind

Frankly, you are better off pulling yourself up by your own bootstraps and getting it done. If every day you do something positive in your own behalf, toward getting your goals you are that much closer each day. No wondering, you know you are moving.

With each success comes more confidence and more success. Bit by bit you get there and do so pleasantly. In order to do this you can’t live tales of woe and focus on lack and despair. You must change! Become the person you want to be. This is how to start it off.

You must change your mindset. You must change your story. You can’t repeat the same crap over and over. Watch what you say. Speak only to bless, heal and prosper. Live for living well, don’t live an underwhelming life and then report it to everyone near by.

To Master The Mind Control The Tongue

Make it marvelous. Make it an adventure. Make it what you want. Stop the BS and make it glorious. Okay, now I will share a personal moment with you. I was hit by a car today. Hit and run. My body. Not a vehicular accident. I was injured BUT it could have been worse.

There is a lot going on. All I know is that somehow it will all work out. In the long run, and it may not be seen for sometime, something good will come of this. It already has. It will continue. There are worse things in the world. Here is what I have learned in life.

If you focus on the shit you get more of it. Today, while challenging, some people might call it negative, there is lot’s of learning, growing and exploring is occurring. There are opportunities not yet seen. My day played out very different from how it started out.

Guard Your Heart For Everything You Do Flows From It

Okay, so what? Life goes on. Through the years I have learned so many marvelous things and ways to be. I’ll be fine. My foot is in a boot. I am comfortable, but have been unable to do some things I needed to. All of it will be taken care of. I am fine! I will be better soon.

However this resolves is how it resolves.  Meanwhile, I have other important things to focus on and to enjoy. Years ago, less than this would have been a day stopper. What can I say, shit happens. So focus on what you want and stop talking about it.

I only shared this with you to let you know all of us face challenges. I take responsibility for this. Yes, somehow it could have been avoided. A minute later, or sooner any number of things happened simultaneously to bring it about. I was complicit in it too.

Be Vigilant Guard Your Mind Against Negative Thoughts

Now I create healing. I create forgiveness. Did I experience some shock and anger. Yup! Everything will be fine. I got a big signal of what I don’t want and now aim to focus on what I want to create instead. Who knows how it will play out. I know I expect good things.

I am grateful that all is well. That I am alive. That I can write my blog. That I can continue to do many things. I am thrilled actually with what is going on inside me at the moment. I am blessed. We all are. What we all need to do is focus and talk about our blessings.

Leave the politics, the economy, the injustice, the travesties and tragedies alone. Comment on blessings. Speak about good things. Find the good and new. Speak about prospering and how things go well. Leave the trauma drama in the past. Live a new way.

There Are Success Habits And Not Success Habits – Choose Wisely

Yes, there is more to do. Read and re-read my other posts. Still, this is a great way to start. Stop filling your mind with negative chatter and gossip and start filling it with positive words and phrases. And praises. Live well and speak well. Speak well and live well. Get it?

As you do all new possibilities open up. You’ll be so busy enjoying the shit won’t matter all that much. Transform yourself and your life by the renewal of your mind. Take control of your thoughts! Have fun, be thankful. Live with awe and wonder. Enjoy and celebrate everything.” Rex Sikes

If You Want To Change But Don’t: This Is What You Must Know And Do

“Do you know why most people don’t make positive changes and get the life they deserve? They want to, they really want to. Wanting to is not enough. Here is what you need to know and do. Wanting only leads you to where the possibility to change exists. It’s a beginning.

Recently, I shared what holds us back. Automated processes that run on and on, outside of our awareness, that lead to less than glorious feelings. While some think of it as obstructive it is not nefarious. It is not sabotage. That is what our subconscious does.

It runs impersonal, learned processes that are outside of our control, for the most part, unless, we deliberately learn other ones instead. These habits of thought, feeling and action that are triggered by outside and inside events and circumstances. We react.

Today You Are Where Your Thoughts Brought You

One thought leads to another. A thought leads to a feeling. The feeling leads back to another thought of a similar kind. Like attracts like. Birds of a feather flock together. How we feel often, most usually, determines how we act and if we act.

As we engage this process enough, repeatedly, through time they become our habits. We routinely think, feel and act, OR NOT, certain ways, positively or negatively. Either these support us or they do not. These habits determine our results in the world.

If we don’t like the results we are getting it can all be traced back to our thoughts, our beliefs, our mindset and attitudes. This is precisely why, for centuries, thought leaders have emphasized taking control of your mind and learning your power to do so.

Tomorrow You Will Be Where Your Thoughts Take You

We are absolutely capable of making positive changes and learning new habits. More difficult are the evolutionary processes such as fight, flight or freeze but even these can come under some control. We can manage the affects of these more than previously believed.

The processes that govern our results are changeable, manageable and controllable, when you learn how.  Using our perception, our ability to reason, our imagination and will power we can intelligently make changes that serve us powerfully and positively.

Just as you learned any skill, learning to control your thinking and feeling is a skill. It is completely do-able. You are capable. It requires patience, dedication, understanding, perseverance and awareness. Awareness is the first step to change. Awareness comes first!

You Cannot Escape The Consequences Of Your Thoughts

We only change that which we know, are AWARE of, or perceive needs changing. Then we can intelligently REASON and decide that we must actually change. When we CHOOSE to take responsibility for our thinking, for everything in life, we take a major step forward.

Even if it isn’t true that we are responsible for everything in life that happens to us or involves us; even if we haven’t control over all of our circumstances it can benefit us to ‘act as if’ to ‘think as if’ we do. To do this without blaming ourselves or others is powerful.

It organizes our perceptions, helps us marshall our resources. It puts the ball and everything, in our court so we can think and work to make changes if we don’t we live as a victim to happenstance. It is far more beneficial to live powerfully than helplessly without hope.

Life Is 10% What Happens To You And 90% How You Respond To It

When one thinks as a champion victor one feels as a champion victor does. Hence one behaves and can get the results of a champion victor. Sure, there will be obstacles and problems but the champion victor takes care of them along the way. It doesn’t stop the victor!

It doesn’t prevent the victor! Everything is line up, aligned and congruent for moving forward positively. This awareness alone is dynamic and perhaps the most needed change anyone can make. Live as an emperor not hopeless and helpless. Live powerfully!

Take control of the power between your ears to make changes in the results you get. Live effectively. Stop making blames and excuses and start living the way you want to be living. It begins with mindset. It starts with controlling our thought habits so they serve us.

Better To Get Hurt By The Truth Than Comforted By A Lie

When it comes to creation, making things happen, getting goals, manifesting, attraction or vibrating in alignment, whatever words you choose to describe the process, being congruent is crucial. That is why it pays to get rid of all junk thinking and negativity.

Most people think of something they want and their habitual patterns of thoughts leap in stating you can’t afford it, your not good enough, you don’t deserve it. Others can have it but not you. Why bother? You aren’t the type of person who does that, and on and on.

These thoughts use up our creative energy because they operate under threshold much of the time. Just like my thoughts about how the woman in the lap pool was the problem. We must become aware of our routine, habitual, less than glorious thinking.

Still – Nothing – No One  – Can Hurt You – Without Your Permission

Then we can begin to change. Awareness opens the door. Once we become aware there’s an issue we need to address it and take care of it. We need to stop it AND make a better choice.  It is a choice. It is ALWAYS a choice. It is in our control and up to us to be different.

Most people won’t make the choice because they think it too hard. They don’t feel capable. Prior, bad thought habits. This is why it is first crucial to identify that you are not thinking powerfully. This is why it is necessary to point out the negativity again and again.

The message signal value has to be strong and loud enough for the individual to think, whoa, maybe I ought to try to do something differently. The person needs to become aware of what is holding them back. What IS the problem to be solved? Get it?

Be A Product Of Your Decisions Not Of Your Circumstances

If you don’t know there is a problem you won’t do anything to change it. Most people put the blame outside themselves so then they never have to address it. If you take responsibility for everything, everything is up to you. Now, you are in charge.

Once aware you have a choice. I f you choose to be different you will be. It requires will power I won’t kid you. It doesn’t happen over night, although it could potentially. Be prepared to condition yours mind for good mental health as you would your body.

You have to eat right, exercise right, sleep right consistently, repeatedly, long enough over time to get in shape and then to maintain it. The same is true about controlling your thoughts and feelings and taking charge of your mind. Step by step you move.

Everything You Want Is On The Other Side Of Why You Can’t

You condition your body AND your mind bit by bit over time. If someone is obese and doesn’t notice it affecting their health, or blames everything else for the issue then they have no power to change it. We have bought into societal memes, too.

We are told things aren’t our fault. It is genetics, it can’t be helped. It is the environment, our education or lack of it, the parents we have that are responsible. Our upbringing was less than glorious. All sounds plausible hence we buy into it. It is limiting programming.

We’ve been told this since birth. We’ve been misinformed, led astray, For each example one can use to prove the above case ‘true’ one can find counter examples of people who have changed in spite of every possible odd being against them. We are remarkable! We are!

Whether You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

Sadly, most of us don’t think we are. We have been conditioned to believe we are not powerful or strong enough. I won’t get into why this may have happened here. Suffice to say our power has been usurped in so many ways. It is time to claim it back. Use it or lose it!

You will be glad you did. Once you begin to notice the results you are able to get with a renewed, transformed mind you’ll wonder what ever took you so long. However, you’ll be too happy celebrating the new changes to regret the time it took. It happens when it happens.

You’ll enjoy glorious new feelings and a positive outlook. All of life becomes marvelous even when, or if, circumstances don’t because you aren’t dictated and controlled by circumstances any longer. Those can and will change too. YOU determine your course.

I Have Failed Over And Over In Life And That Is Why I Succeed

If it is ever going to happen it will be completely up to you and the decision you make. No one can think your thoughts for you. They can provide you with thoughts and programming, as they already have, but they can’t think your thoughts for you. Do you understand this?

It is up to you to decide whether you take your power back or forever continue to act out of how you were previously programmed when you didn’t have a choice. Are you going to live from the beliefs and limitations you learned as a child? I hope not.

Some of those did serve you. Yes, they protected to. They kept you safe and/or they kept you from trying. Or they comforted you when you tried and gave up. Sure, those beliefs served a purpose. To insure you don’t travel too far. To make sure you don’t head the pack.

To Move A Mountain Begin By Carrying Away Small Stones

You decide. Decide now! Do you want to live from chronic, old, prior, limiting, conditioning, most of which you absorbed prior to five years old, OR do you want to begin living as the person you deserve to be? Don’t you want to find the real you hidden in there? Discover you!

There is no better time than now to act. Begin now, start, and learn along the way. When it is completed will you be able to look back and connect the dots. So be courageous, take control of your life by taking control of your mind. DO it Do it now. Awareness first.

Then use your imagination to begin to see, hear and feel the you, you already are within, that you want to be in the real world. Begin to imagine living the life you have always wanted. See, hear and feel yourself ‘act as if’ it is all absolutely real. Stick with it. Stick with it!

People Don’t Lack Strength – They Lack Will

Will power is necessary. Some things, like the Chinese Bamboo plant, don’t show up for quite some time. Stick with it. Be passionate, have faith. Become convinced you can and will do it and you will. You attract and make happen what you ARE – not what you want.

People want all sorts of things they learn to live without. That is from their habitual mindset. Become the change you want to experience and you will have what you desire. You will transform yourself by the renewing of your mind. Get it? You do it! YOU!

“It is a lesson which all history teaches wise persons, to put trust in ideas, and not in circumstances,” said Ralph Waldo Emerson. Don’t give circumstances the power, claim it back. Learn to dictate what the circumstances will be. It begins with controlling your thoughts.

Exercise Your Power And You Release The Power Of Life Energy

Take charge. Focus your mind. Feel the best! How do you feel the best? Think the thoughts that produce those feelings. Put your attention on what you have to be grateful for. Stay focused. Thought leads to feeling and feeling leads back to similar thoughts.

Change your life thought by thought. Step by step. Fill your mind with CAN DO power. Enjoy, delight! Think right and feel WONDERFUL! Keep doing it over and over and before you know it this all becomes your new habits. Your new results.

Practice success until you are successful. Act as if! Be it NOW! and celebrate! When you do this consistently, long enough, everything can and will change for the better because YOU ARE DOING IT! YOU ARE IN CHARGE OF IT! So enjoy life now and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

A Critical Understanding: What You Are Not Aware Of Holds You Hostage!

“Whatever is outside of your awareness runs the show. It is what is going on that you don’t pay attention to that determines whether you get what you want or not. So much of our thinking is automatic and below the threshold of consciousness. It governs everything.

When you begin to take control of your thinking you work with what you are aware of. You change the obvious negative thoughts you encounter into positive. You recite affirmations. You do this a few times a day, consistently and over time. Things begin to shift.

You start experiencing success. You become aware of your thinking and your feeling. You begin to notice whether you feel good most of the time or not. Your life changes. The process takes a while just as it takes a while for a plant to grow from seed to bear fruit. It’s all good.

We Are Fortunate To Become Aware Of The Content Of Our Mind

The subconscious works doing what it learned to do from birth onward. It is a storehouse of automatic habits, beliefs, memories and experiences from which we navigate the world. When we decide to change it’s a conscious decision to change the subconscious process.

I have compared this to the rudder steering a large ship in previous posts. We direct the subconscious, we train and condition it through correct repetition of strong emotions, affirmations and visualization. We do this repetitiously to get it to learn what we want it to now do.

While we learn to be different there still are all these habits of thought that continue. Petty thoughts, sometimes about nothing in particular. We don’t think about them we just think them. We barely ever notice them unless the signal value becomes loud enough.

Once Aware – We Can Move From Chaos And Misery To Bliss

These thoughts dictate our experience. They govern our day. Because we don’t notice them we don’t change them. They are chatter. They are mostly less than glorious, maybe neutral, but make up negative commentary or narration about our daily experiences.

I’ll give you an example I hope illuminates. I am in the lap pool doing laps and enjoying. A woman comes in, could have been anyone actually, man or woman. She is new. She stops me to ask how she gets into my lane. I tell her duck under the buoys. This bothers her.

She doesn’t want to get her hair wet. I noticed when she entered the pool she hadn’t showered. This bothered me. I didn’t say anything. Anyway, she does her thing. Soon, she grabs some floats off the pool side which a handicapped man had been using and takes them.

Become Aware Of What You Are Thinking – You Will Recognize …

He points this out to me. I get out of the pool and go get him some more dumbbell floats and give them to him. She appears oblivious. Too concerned with not getting her hair wet apparently. He thanks me and begins his exercise. I return to my lane and she joins me.

She gets into my lane by going around. Now she moves slowly in front of me. She starts a conversation with another woman in the center lane and they walk slowly. In my lane she moves down the middle arms out to both sides. I am becoming annoyed. It goes on.

I am thinking, who does she think she is? Why does she come here and into my lane? I think, if you are going to be here get wet, go all in. How about being aware of others. There were plenty of floats on the rack why did you just pick the ones at the lane? Soon, I notice.

… A Connection Between Your Mood And Your Circumstances

It wasn’t too long before I began to notice myself feeling less than glorious. My attention had shifted from how much I enjoyed the water, the day, my time in there to how dare this interloper come in here and have no regard for anyone. Who does she think she is?

THEN, I realized I was spiraling downward. I wasn’t angry. I was annoyed. I felt less than glorious. I realized my thoughts we running on about something that wasn’t important. I was spending time thinking and reacting to what I didn’t want. I was caught up.

It was the monkey mind running from treetop to treetop chattering at everything below. Do you understand? I wasn’t in charge it was running me. As I became aware of it I went, Whoa! STOP! Think and speak only to bless, heal and prosper. Stop giving this attention.

If You Want To End Negativity Become Aware Of Positive Things

I remembered Jesus saying, forgive them for they know not what they do. Clearly, this woman didn’t and I could forgive. She hadn’t really done anything wrong, it was just whatever she was doing bumped up against how I thought things should be. Rules. Beliefs.

Once I became aware that I was letting my mind drive me into unpleasantness I could shift it. I realized I had spent a good number of minutes experiencing unpleasantness ALL between my own ears. I was looking through my eyes but my discomfort came from within.

The rest of the day I noticed whenever I would think thoughts of things I could not change. If noticed that if someone or something upset me how I wanted to think it again and again. There was a natural tendency to solve it or continue to relive the discomfort.

Awareness Allows Us To Escape The Trap Of Our Daily Lives

It was as if I could play it enough I might be able to feel better  by thinking the right thing to say or do. It was planning for if this might occur in the future. Actually, I was just getting caught in a negative loop that ran endlessly while making me feel worse. INSIGHT!

Let it go. The thoughts returned. I repeatedly had to put them aside and think what I wanted. I learned there’s a lot of automatic BS goes on; about trying to control situations, how people should conform and behave, thoughts about traffic or slow lines. ALL junk thoughts!

Junk thoughts about everyday things. Just petty everyday nuisances that chewed up time and energy.  Most of the time these  thoughts operate outside awareness but use up critical energy. As I became more aware of these I could let them go and shift to the positive.

There Is So Much To Be Grateful And Thankful For That We Miss

Only as I became more aware of the less than glorious chatter, and let it go, I became free. Once aware I could drop them. As long as it ran on below threshold it dictated experience. This is how many of us spend our days. These thoughts lead to stress and discomfort.

Remember, we become what we think about most of the time. I would never have been able to notice them nor alter them and change my experience from less than glorious back to feeling good without all my previous work, on taking charge, to begin with.

We first begin to change the things with the highest signal value, that which we are aware of. Gradually, because of these efforts, we can recognize more of the subtleties that hold us back or keep us stuck. Then we can keep making changes that move us forward.

Change Comes From Doing The Same Things Differently

We TRULY can transform ourselves by the renewing of our minds. It requires dedication and awareness. At an earlier point in my life I’d have been disappointed to discover the monkey mind chatter thinking I should be beyond that. Instead, I now could celebrate.

Anytime, we can find that which frees us up to enjoy more of the wonderful opportunities living provides for us, we can delight. The more we feel wonderful and think wonderfully the more we create a wonderful life. It all works together. Become aware. Delight in all.

Work on becoming free. Take control of your thoughts and feelings it is worth it! Nothing comes close to helping us enjoy the life we live as getting free from past, old, borrowed, chronic, habitual conditioning. No reason to live that way when we can live renewed.

Be Transformed By The Renewing Of Your Mind

Find gratefulness in everything. Enjoy and delight. Don’t let other people or circumstances rain on your parade. Guess what, as I discovered, it wasn’t the woman who was bothering me. IT was MY OWN thought process. My thinking was causing my hell, not her.

I used her as an excuse. Something, someone to blame and to shift the focus from what I was doing to what she was doing. That is how we live much of the time. It IS what causes our suffering. Stop! Notice. Become aware. Change YOUR thoughts. Be positive

Don’t blame outside yourself. It really isn’t about others, events or circumstances. We just typically think it is because that is what we were raised to think. The discomfort doesn’t come from outside us. It comes from within each of us. It’s due to old thought habits. Take responsibility. Take the right thought action to be free. Most importantly, celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

What’s A Mody? How To Make It Work For You!

“Did you know thinking is a electro-chemical process? We are living batteries, self-contained energy sources, that rely on materials from the outside to sustain ourselves. When we think we release impulses and chemicals that produce our emotions.

It is a symbiotic. Nature provides for reciprocal relationships, just as the flower and butterfly, or bee, need each other. Our brain and body work together synchronously and sequentially in more amazing ways than we can fathom.

Instead of thinking we have a mind and a body perhaps we should say we have a mody. We are one bio-bag of incredible processes to say the least. When we think we produce emotions or feelings. Thought precede feeling and actions.

As Soon As You Can Accept The Idea … 

Those feelings then contribute to produce subsequent thoughts. Our INITIAL thoughts produce feelings. THEN those feelings determine what we think next. We cannot separate the two. If we think happy thoughts we get happier. We feel it.

Then we continue to think happy thoughts. Depending on whether we think positively or negatively we can spiral up into greatness and elation or down in to depression and lack of action. Negative thoughts produce negative sequences.

Learning to control our mody isn’t just about positive thinking but about learning to manage our thinking. Learning the act of management is almost more important than the thought itself. This is a crucial piece of understanding.

… That You Can Control Your Thoughts …

Once you learn to manage your thoughts you become more aware of the triggers that produce glorious and not so glorious feelings. You can take charge of the processes and direct them so you feel better, are more productive and happy.

More of the time! This is important because we become what we think about most often. Most people aren’t even aware of most of the thoughts they think during the day because they are on autopilot. They think from chronic, habitual programs.

These run at conscious threshold or below. They may not be horribly negative, but they are not positive or productive. Think of it this way, even if they were completely neutral they would fall into the negative category because they don’t support you.

… You Will Be Able To Create Your Own Happiness

This is a key element to understand. Either your thoughts, your beliefs, your attitude and the resulting emotions or feelings support you OR they do not. You want them to support you. You want to be able to absolutely choose and direct these.

Learning control takes discipline. It takes time. It is simple but not always easy. It is beyond worth it! BUT you only discover that as the process unfolds for you. It is the basis of creating, manifesting or attracting whatever you want.

When your mind and emotions are congruent and work hand in hand you can aim them are your target desires and go after and get them much more easily. When every aspect of you is aligned you are more powerful, efficient and able. You rock!

Life Is Like A Mirror – It Will Smile At You If You Smile At It

How can you tell what you are thinking? What are you feeling? Your feelings indicate, they inform you what kind of thoughts you are thinking. If you feel low energy, frustrated, angry or despair you are thinking negative thoughts. Get it?

It isn’t rocket science. If you feel less than glorious it is an alert signal that you are thinking less than glorious thought. Right then, as soon as you become aware you need to to take control and lead yourself into more glorious thought and feelings.

If you will do this, and you do it consistently and long enough you will develop the habit of control over your thoughts and feelings. Then you will actively be able to better create the life you want. You are already creating everything. You know that?

I’m Not What Happens To Me – I’m What I Choose To Become

All of your results, all of your life, is your doing. It is how you perceive, what you think, feel and act. Sure, things happen from the outside, but you react. Once you learn control you are better equipped to make your life what you want it to be.

Then you create, manifest or attract, whichever word works best for you, the life of your dreams. You aim at it and you bring it about because your thoughts lead to feelings, your feelings lead to actions, your actions become habits and then results.

You are either right now conditioned for success or for failure. Perhaps, you are stuck somewhere in the middle. If you want things to be different you have to change some things. If you want success you need to condition yourself for success.

I Use Memories – I Will Not Let Memories Use Me

Isn’t it time to get your mody going in the direction you want it to? Wouldn’t you like to get more positive consistent results? You can. You can the moment you decide to take charge. Once you do keep at it until you prevail. It doesn’t happen overnight.

It may seem as though nothing happens, just like the Chinese Bamboo plant I wrote about. It may seem that nothing is going on for some time, but then lookout as amazing transformations begin. Seeds take time to grow and to blossom. Hang in there.

There is only failure if you quit. If you throw in the towel. Otherwise, as long as you persist you are still moving forward. Then defeat is only temporary. Keep going. You can and will do it. The easiest way to make it all happen is through gratefulness.

Take Control Of Your Habits – You Take Control Of Your Life

Gratitude. Appreciation. Thankfulness. Enjoy and delight in everything. Love the wonderful moments and the not so great moments. Embrace both. One feels marvelous the other provides lessons. All is good. Once you get that, ALL IS good!

Filll your life enjoying little things. Make each moment special. Live this way and your life magically transforms. Stop comparing and start delighting. Smell the roses. Savor each second. Live with enthusiasm and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Why Not Begin Living Your Dreams Today?

“Why not make today the day to begin living your dreams? Why not start pursuing your passions and greatest goals? Don’t you think it is about time you discover how absolutely incredible you are? You were born to excel and be wonderful!

You are wonderful. You have so many resources you aren’t aware of. Oh, sure, you know about some, but there are so many more within you. You just didn’t know to look, or you have looked in other places. All are within your grasp but you may need to look differently.

Why not live the incredible life you deserve? Life is multi-faceted and glorious. If you look you can see a gorgeous world. Why not make your life gorgeous too? Why live as less than the powerful person you truly are?

When You Stop And Look Around  – This Life Is Pretty Amazing

Some people have let life beat them down. Some have let circumstances take the wind from their sails. Sometimes the path is rocky and treacherous but not always. Life has ups and downs. The sea rises and falls. The wind blows hard and almost not at all.

Each of these changes are movement. Seasons come and go. Night becomes day, cold becomes hot. Goods times turn sad. Troubles give way to increased delight. Everything passes. Life IS flux. There is no reason to think you are stuck. Everything is moving.

Why not make today the beginning day of a new attitude? Start with a renewed sense of joy and determination. Look within for all your good bits as well as outside for that to enjoy! How about you find some of all the many reasons why your life can be beautiful.

Constant Repetition Results In Conviction – Believe In Yourself

Even if you aren’t convinced, at first, the more your pursue these notions; my life is beautiful; I am wonderful; everything can be a blessing; I can find a way; you will. Why not put a smile on your lips a song in your heart and a dance step in your feet.

Move forward in a new way. Enjoy who you are. Enjoy what you have. Enjoy what is yet to come. Enjoy making it happen. Enjoy believing in yourself. Enjoy co-operating with others. 2 Things Successful People Do That Separate Them From The Unsuccessful

“Not everyone who is successful and rich is a nice person. However, most all of them have things they do in common that separates them from the unsuccessful. There a few things they do differently and routinely that are crucial to adopt if you want success. Here’s one.

In order to make any change you want to be permanent you have to wire it in. You have to make it an automatic, reliable habit.  To do this you must overwrite the old habit with the new thoughts, feelings or behaviors you want instead. You must learn the habits of success.

In order to do this you must do the correct things consistently and for a long enough time. That is what ‘perfect practice’ is about. You do the right things for as long as it takes. This IS how you create new habits. Sadly, most people, won’t do what it takes to succeed.

Practice Doesn’t Make Perfect – Perfect Practice Makes Perfect

That is why it has been pointed out that successful people do the things no one else will do. If you want to think better, more productively, positively and powerfully then you must practice and rehearse that thinking until you wire it in. There is no other way.

Do you want to feel better more of the time? Then you must practice and rehearse feeling good consistently and long enough. The same applies to behaviors. There isn’t any other way. You can’t change being a couch potato, taking a magic pill or wishing it will happen.

You must take charge and do it. How long does it take? It takes as long as it takes. You do what you need to do to make the changes you want, and to make them permanent. Let go of the when, the time, and deadlines and focus on developing the thoughts and feelings.

The Difference Between Ordinary And Extraordinary Is Practice

There is a bamboo plant. Once planted it is watered and nurtured for 6 years. The plant remains underground with no evidence of growth. In the 7th year the plant sprouts and grows 90 feet within 2 months. The question to consider is, when did it grow the 90 feet?

Obviously, it must have been growing the entire time. If it wasn’t watered or taken care of it in any given year it would have died. It was always growing even when you couldn’t see it. The same is true of you when you do the right things long enough and consistently.

Success is the same way. Besides taking responsibility for their success those who are most successful enjoy working at it. They work harder and longer than most others. However, they don’t consider it work. They love it. They enjoy it. It is their passion.

Practice Happy Thinking Every Day – And Be Happy

Because they enjoy it they say things like, ‘I work harder than anyone else but I have never worked a day in my life.’ This is important to understand. They feel good about working for success. If you feel good too you will never work a day in your life either.

The more you decide to enjoy the process the smoother it can go. When you are enjoying something you want it to last or you don’t care how long it takes. This is a great mindset. Then it doesn’t matter how  long it takes because you are enjoying it and benefiting from it.

Enjoy the process of evolving yourself. Take control of your thinking and take responsibility for creating your life and circumstances. Do what it takes for as long as it takes. Enjoy the process and keep the faith even when you don’t see results for a while. Keep the  faith!

The Only Way To Do Great Work Is To Love What You Do

You are growing. You really are. You may not see the evidence for a while. One day, you’ll sprout and an entire new magical life will open up and takes off quickly. That is how it can work for you. Just stick with right practice. Develop your mindset.

Learn to think and feel good most of the time. Do what it takes to be successful and enjoy it.  Do what the others won’t and you will be counted among those who succeed. In the meantime have fun. Keep at it. Do the right things consistently for as long as it takes.  Be grateful and celebrate everything! Rex Sikes

How To Know For Certain You Are On The Right Track

A major key to personal and professional change is to answer one simple question. When you figure this out almost everything else falls into place. This organizing question makes an incredible difference at how quickly and easily you live the life you want.

From my previous blogs, you already know, there are two ways to divide up the world. There is positive or negative; increase or decrease; closer or farther away. You get this, right? You are either predominantly positive or negative in your thoughts and feelings.

The organizing question you use to determine how you are doing from moment to moment, is simply this: How am I feeling? Do I feel good or not so good? Get it? The goal is to feel your best as much of the time as possible. That doesn’t mean bliss all the time.

Mind Is The Best Friend To Those Who Have Conquered It

It means to feel as good as you are able at any given moment. If you are down and out seek to feel a little bit better. Do whatever you are able to to improve how you feel. Move yourself inch by inch toward Nudge yourself in the ‘better feelings’ direction. Move!

These questions help you determine what is going on. Either you feel good or you don’t. That is what you want to be aware of. These questions help you illuminate what is presently going on with you so you can be more aware of your thoughts, feelings and actions.

Are you positive or negative most of the time? Are you focused on increase or decrease? Are you feeling good or feeling not so good? Discover this: Is what you are thinking, feeling, speaking, believing, and doing getting you closer to your goal or not?

Mind Is The Greatest Enemy To Those Who Haven’t Conquered It

Is what you are doing supporting you or preventing you from accomplishing your goal swiftly and with ease? Get it? If the answer is you are not feeling so good, or you’re negative, focused on decrease and moving further from your goal you know what to do.

Why would you engage in anything that didn’t support you in some way? If when you ask, you discover that what you are thinking, feeling, speaking and doing is limiting you in some fashion, wouldn’t it be wise to stop it? Why would you continue to limit yourself?

You know what you need to do. Change it. Shift to the other. It really is that simple. That is the bottom line. Are getting you closer or further away from your destination? Are you enjoying yourself of not? If not, do whatever positive, beneficial thing you can so you do.

A Positive Mind Looks For Ways It Can Be Done

Do whatever you are able to, to feel better. Find something to enjoy. Concentrate on the good, turn to gratitude and appreciation. Engage in activities that delight. The goal is to live the life that is most wonderful, most of the time. Get unhooked from drama and issues.

Find ways to turn resistance into assistance. Re-frame difficulties as learning. Look for the opportunity hidden within challenges. Stop and smell the roses. Take time with family and friends. Help someone who needs some help. Live, love and laugh more. Have fun.

If most of your time is spent feeling as good as you can isn’t that well worth it? If you mostly you enjoy life, have fun, are grateful for the people in your life and are able to focus on the good in all of your circumstances, you are living pretty well, aren’t you?

The Happiness Of Life Depends On The Quality Of Your Thoughts

Isn’t that worth it? If you live a good life wouldn’t that be wonderful? The answer to these last questions will provide you with great insight.  Your yes or no answer will reveal much about you, to you. Proceed from there. Meanwhile, celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

How To Use Your Mind And A Pen To Get What You Want

We’ve discussed how many people don’t like their circumstances. They want things different yet they keep getting the same results. If you want your life to change you must change things in your life. You can’t keep doing the same things and expect your life to be different.

Review:  To change. First, you must be clear about what you want. One way to do this is to get absolutely clear about what they don’t want. THEN, and this is critical, once you know what you do not want you must  turn your back on it. Drop it, let it go.

Then put all your focus, your attention, your energy on what you absolutely know you do want. Use what you don’t want to clarify what you do want. For example, you don’t want the freeway to be backed up, you want your ride to be sooth and easy and quick.

Elaborate And Describe The Good You Want In Vivid Detail 

You don’t like bad service in restaurant you prefer good food served polite and friendly. When things arise that you do not want, that you do not like, stop, and decide what it is you would rather have. Focus on what you prefer and that you do want and like.  Maintain that!

Focus on what you do want. Get it? Get clear about what you do not want and then focus on what you do want exclusively. This requires you choose. You make a choice, a decision on what to focus. When you make the decision your life begins to transform.

Your life begins changing for the better because you stop telling and re-living the story of what you don’t want. Once you free yourself of the old, broken, undesirable way you are free to live it the way you want to. To make the new life a reality you must attend to it.

Every Day May Not Be A Good Day But There Is Good In Every Day

You must maintain the new story. This must become predominant. Tell the story of the reality you want to live. Not only tell it, be it. In your mind, act as if it is all already yours. You already are the person you want to be. Pretend the future reality IS ALREADY your reality.

Feel and do what you want to be feeling and doing. Imagine you already have those things you want to have. You brain, your subconscious will help you get whatever you imagine. If you think, ‘I want this in the future’, it will always remain off in the future.

You must think, ‘I have this right now’. This is what you presently live and enjoy. It is all right now. It is your present reality. Use present tense words to describe it. Feel it as if are it right now. You are living it. The feelings of having it right now ARE what make this work!

See – Feel – Speak – Write It:  1st Action Steps To Make It Reality

Feel it and believe it. The more you feel it is your current reality the more you will believe it. You nurture your feelings and your belief about it. You make it as real as possible. Enjoy it. This is your inner transformational work. This is how you get the mindset right.

You don’t have to tell others about the brand new car parked in your driveway, but you imagine it. Stop talking about your clunker car, the one you hate, and find the present good. Discover all there is to be grateful for. Don’t dwell on the problems dwell on the good things.

Express the good. Talk only about the good. Don’t whine or complain. Tell a different story about how reliable and wonderful your car is. While you do this imagine driving the new car now. Live that reality inside. That is the story you need to focus on.

See It Hear It Feel It Taste It Smell It – Act As If You Have It Already

Live the conclusion.  What thoughts would you think if you got what you wanted? How would you feel? What would you be doing? How would you look, walk, stand and sit after you got your goal? What would your voice sound like? Who might you be with?

Make your visualization vivid. You want to feel it. Live it. Enjoy it, as if you have it right now. Act as if. Keep a journal and fill it up. Write down how it feels to presently enjoy… (the new car). Describe everything you can. Have fun journaling. Write a bit each day.

Write how it feels to drive it. Describe it. How does it sound. How much you love to hear the engine. The comfort of the seats and the feel of the ride. How it feels to see it parked in your driveway. The places you love to go. The comments people make.

Write Down Your Goals And Your Reasons For Obtaining Them

What it was like to drive it off the lot. Stick with writing and telling the new story you want. Re-live each day, your future in advance. One day when you will have what you want you will think, feel and behave in certain ways. Do that now. Write about it.

Make that future real to you in your imagination. When you imagine. Writing it down helps you make those images. Actually, write it with a pen and paper, don’t type it. You can also make a vision board. Put pictures of what you want on a piece of car board. Or on your mirror.

Keep the idea, fresh, fun and alive in your mind. Whether you do this a lot or once or twice a day is up to you. The point is to get the feelings of the changes you want to bring about. Think it and feel it first, believe it and you can have it. Okay? Celebrate everything! Rex Sikes
