Instead you select from what you want to enjoy, you focus on what it is you like and exclude the rest. You do not beat yourself up because there are items on the buffet that are not for you.

It is the same in everyday life. We need to keep our eye and our mind on the good now in our present and the good future we want to create. This is where we keep our attention and our energy.

Do not get distracted by present circumstances no matter what they are. Even if everything around you is crappy you still focus and concentrate on the very best you can find now and in the future.

Your goal should be to feel good.  You should feel the best you are able to any given moment. When you are feeling joyful, happy and confident, you are in a better place to make your dreams come true. You literally vibrate at a higher level. You are more powerful and attractive.  Well-being radiates from you. When you move through the world with power in this fashion you attract others of like mind and energy.

Here is another  analogy. Imagine you want to build a house. You design it and plan it and get it just the way you want it. It is your dream home. You get everything in place to build it. Even though there may be problems with the land, the contractors, and the money, you still keep your focus on what it is you want to build.

Don’t let the other things take you attention away from what you know you want. Keep your eyes on the home you intend to build for yourself while you work to get it built. Do not get caught up in the everyday events and forget about your dream home. Do not let any circumstances shift your focus from what you want to build and have for yourself.

There are always difficulties and challenges. That is part of life. Do not make them  bigger or more important than what you want. Do  not get hooked or distracted or caught up by mundane or terrible circumstances. Do not focus on what you don’t want and what the problems are.

People think they have to focus on or deal with what they don’t want in order to make things better. You don’t! Yes, you may have to solve present circumstances but don’t let whatever less than glorious events or people life presents you with take you away from what you want.  Do not give your energy to the problem give it to the solution. Keep it on what you want to have.

You will NOT get what you want by paying attention and giving energy to what you don’t want. It does not work that way. In all likelihood it just is not going to happen. You will only waste your time and your energy and remain pretty much in the same stuck place.

Yes, you can notice the problems and you know you don’t want them. You can acknowledge them but don’t give your energy to them.

you are a living magnet

Turn your attention back to what you do want and keep working to make that happen. Remain positive, optimistic, dedicated and focused.

Do this and you use the positive force of your mind and being instead of accepting the negative circumstances. Choose to prevail instead of succumb. Live as a victor and not a victim.

Most people get caught up in an endless array of details and lose sight of the goal. They go back and forth, they live wishy washy, they drift like a captainless ship at sea. They hope and then doubt and then hope again. They try and then get frustrated. They are positive then fearful, eager then anxious and this is what confuses the unconscious. The back and forth of emotions sends mixed messages so we produce  mixed results. If you think wishy washy you get wishy washy.

Remember the principle of garbage in garbage out (GIGO).  Whatever we put into the brain is what we get back out. If we write a bad software program we get poor results from the computer. We can’t run our engine on anything  but the appropriate fuel. In order to get what we want we  must do what it takes.

I am not suggesting that we have to work physically harder or longer  either. That is a mistake to think that.  We need to work smarter and wiser. It begins inside our head where everything begins. It begins with the thoughts we have. It begins with  the seeds we plant. We can only reap what we have sown.

I am not suggesting we sit alone in our room and concentrate on having material goods somehow magically shower down on us either. That is not going to happen. It doesn’t appear to work that way.

What does work is that we organize our thinking first, this helps organize our behaviors and then we work smarter, wiser and more efficiently at getting what we want. We make it happen because we are at cause. We are in charge. We are in control. We create and we attract what we want.

We accelerate our potential to make it happen because we align our entire being in that mission. We are congruent, devoted, dedicated, focused, concentrated and passionate about making it happen. We become a person who is able to get what they want.

It is evolution. We evolve ourself, we make ourself into the kind of person who gets what they set out to get. In order to be that kind of person we must send a single clear, powerful message!

Positive Thinking is the ability to know exactly what it is you want, maintain your focus and your attitude, and stick with it until you make it yours. Trouble may come and go, you may adjust your plans but you expect to win no matter what. You focus on the good, the solutions, what can be done and you do it.

Positive Thinking training is learning how to focus your mind like a laser and target what you want so that you get it. When you aim at the target you focus where you want to hit. You don’t worry about the rest of the target or what is off the target you put your concentration where you want the projectile to land.

I have provided some analogies here for consideration. The point is this: it is all about where you put your attention. Energy flows where attention goes! Keep your attention where it is most useful and let go of the rest.” Rex Sikes

The Power Of Thinking Positive PT 4 Repetition: What You Need To Understand

Our world functions repetitively. Day becomes night, seasons come and go, you wake up, follow a routine, work, play, watch the same TV shows and do it all over again and again. Our lives our based on repetition and habit. Repetition by itself can be powerful. You know that you can expect results when you correctly repeat exercises. When you repeatedly practice any skill you get better at it.

Advertisers know that repetition and repeated exposure creates awareness and brand identity. It has been said and demonstrated that ‘a lie repeated long enough and often enough becomes substituted for the truth’. Governments and advertisers have prospered and benefited from propaganda. So a lie constantly stated can become believed and accepted as truth.

An affirmation isn’t a lie it is an accurate statement. It may feel like or seem like a lie because you don’t think it applies to you. It may not be in your thinking or view of yourself or the world to accept it as a fact. So for you it may not seem true. But it can be true for you. It can become your truth!

Advertisers, media, politicians and all governments know (and they have invested billions in researching this area), that if you constantly present a notion, by repetition, to people  many of  they will gradually come to accept it.

Researchers also discovered that people  will usually become more tolerant when repeatedly exposed to other people, other ideas and practices. We become less afraid and more accepting of that which is familiar. We find areas of commonality or overlap and we become more accepting.

We allow more and are more willing to entertain notions the more we see or hear them. This is why radio, TV, magazine, billboard and all media advertising is effective.  It is through repeated exposure that ideas can become more acceptable to us. Do you think all the billions would be spent if it didn’t work?

you are going to be great keep on going

Even fears and phobias can be overcome by the appropriate repeated exposure to what is feared. Systematic Desensitization is a method of safely exposing the person bit by bit to what they fear most. It works.

Studies suggest we tolerate more televised violence when we repeatedly watch violent and horrific shows and news. We become less sensitive to it. Lies become accepted as true, violence becomes less horrible, people and concepts become more familiar when exposed to them enough times. It works.

So when you repeat affirmations over and over again your resistance to these ideas breaks down. Gradually, you begin to accept and believe them. Ultimately, you embrace these new thoughts and begin to operate from them. You make them your own thinking and your new beliefs. You do this by constantly exposing your mind to the positive ideas!

Repetition works and there is a way to make sure it works even better. Advertisers, media, military and governments know that to make this process maximally effective you have to emotionally hook or involve the person. YOUR emotions are the key. YOUR strong emotions are the mechanism that makes this work faster and efficiently.

So while repeating an affirmation such as, ‘everyday in every way I am getting better and better’ lifelessly may transform you, it may take a a very long time. It can work but there is a more effective way to insure success. You do want success don’t you?

To get the most powerful results you pair your affirmation with tremendous positive energy while you think and say them. For affirmations to work the best and the swiftest they need to be repeated with dynamic energy and enthusiasm.  The stronger your feelings the more you reinforce whatever is going on.

you are creating it

Do you understand this process? Your life already works this way. You have unwittingly engaged in this process again and again. Sometimes you got good results, sometimes poor results, sometimes wishy washy results. What you did not get is consistent positive results. You used this process haphazardly and without conscious determined awareness. You having been doing this all along!

Your emotions paired with your thoughts have already programmed you. Your emotions lock in your thinking. Now it is time to take charge and deliberately control what you think and do and what you get back. To use an analogy, your ship has been drifting and now it is time for you take control and steer it to where you want it to go. You choose the destination and you get it there! (The appropriate designation for ship would be to use ‘her’, when referring to the ship. I didn’t).

There is good news! You don’t have to learn to do anything new. You are already doing what works but you have been using it poorly. You have been effectively using this process, without awareness, over and over again to get what you didn’t want. Now, instead, begin using it purposefully to get what you DO want!

All you have to do NOW is begin to make a few adjustments and you can get on track to get what you want. You use what you already do naturally, but you use it in a NEW way.

Now, emphasize the positive most of the time and let go of the negative.  Accentuate the positive and fill yourself up with positive powerful energy. Keep your positivity banks full, more full than the negativity bank.  Go for 70% 80% 90% positive and you will experience great changes.

So what to do?

First, you have to decide that YOU want to make the change and that you will begin. You choose. Then you aim your mind toward what is good and new and delightful. Aim your mind at what you want and focus on that intently. You concentrate your energy and your thinking on the positive and let go of the negative.

you are an abundant divine being

One key to finding the positive energy and enthusiasm is to look at what you are already grateful for in your past and present life. Take an inventory of all that you are thankful for, all that feels good, whatever you have accomplished, anything and everything, and everyone and accentuate it. Do this everyday! Do it morning and at night and re-visit it during the day.

Focus on the sense of thankfulness and stay with the appreciation. Look around you at everything that is good and that uplifts you. Remember, what we focus on expands. We get and become what we think about most often. What we hold in our mind we can some day hold in our hand.

Read inspirational material everyday. Fill your mind with strong positive messages. Make it a habit to feed yourself positive food for thought daily. Commit to reading at least a page. You can do at least one page! Certainly, you can do more if you want. Make the commitment to never go a day without at least reading one page of positive, inspirational, motivational, nutritional messages. You can do this!

Listen to audio programs and watch motivational videos. There is plenty of free material on the internet. Turn your drive time into inspirational and educational time.

If you are typically dour, or unable to find anything, then you may have to  pull yourself up using your own boot straps. Take a walk, and emphatically with powerful determination chant an affirmation. Repeat it while exercising, do jumping jacks or something that gets all of your being, inside and out, moving.  Move vigorously. Remember what the military does to train troops. Find a buddy to partner, if that helps. Share your inspiration and enthusiasm! Put a program of action to work for yourself. Even if all this comes easy for you you can do these things too if you like.

Add delight, enjoyment, enthusiasm, eagerness, positive feelings, happiness, and excitement when you think and repeat your affirmations. Do this morning and night and throughout the day. Sing them, chant them, shout them in your car with a smile. Add uplifting energy to your affirmations. Make each of your moments count. Write them out and put them where you will see them.

I’ll share more next time. One of my favorite thoughts I use as an affirmation is a biblical saying ‘ this is the day the lord has made, rejoice and be glad in it’. It reminds me to be thankful, and to look for the good. I want to begin the day with gratitude and rejoicing. I return to this thought frequently throughout the day and at times when difficulty presents itself.

I think, ‘It is all good. Good things are happening even though I don’t know what they are, yet. Everything always works out for the best. Everything will work out because this is  the day the lord hath made, rejoice and be glad in it.’

when you change the way you look at things

Remember the more you do the more you are able to do. The more you feel good and think positive the more you will make that happen for yourself. The more you will benefit because you take action and start the process. Train yourself to feel good and to look for the good and that is what you will find and have.

If you get off base nudge yourself back to the positive. When you steer yourself back to what you want, when you steer back to the positive you begin to send a clear single powerful message to your unconscious servo mechanism that this is what you want more of.

I repeat: YOU focus on what YOU want. Concentrate on it and fill your mind and being with good thoughts and feelings. If you get off base steer back to the positive. Course correct and get back on course. Always aim at your target and nowhere else!

When you maintain this practice you inform your unconscious servant that this is what you want ALL the time. Program your brain, your mind and being for success. Determine what you want and forgo what you don’t just as when you are at a buffet table. As you do this repeatedly, through time, you are developing positive habits which work automatically.

These are the seeds you  plant. Expect to reap good things when you plant good strong seeds. You WILL reap if YOU first plant them.

This is necessary to understand.  PLANT positive seeds and NURTURE them to fruition. They will grow and flower and you will benefit again and again as they do. EXPECT a great harvest. When the time comes you will REAP even more of the benefits. Actually, you will benefit all along the way. It IS a very enjoyable process once you begin.” Rex Sikes

You Become What You Think About? So…..

“Make today count! Meditate or think on this: ‘We become what we think about most of the time’.

What do you think about most frequently, what fills your thoughts throughout the day? Are they thoughts of happiness, well-being, positive action thoughts or whining, complaining and worry?

What you hold in your mind you hold in your body. Your feelings and actions are a result of your thinking AND vice versa. If you want your life to change for the better you have to change things in your life FOR THE BETTER.

So today become aware of where you spend your mind time, what you think about most frequently.

It doesn’t matter why you spend time thinking what you think. No reason or justification is necessary. No excuses either!

Just examine your thinking process and decide does it serve you as best it could or not? If not then improve it. If you want your life to change it is completely up to you.

Become aware and notice. Don’t judge, don’t chide yourself just notice what you mostly do and opt to make whatever you think better.

Make yourself think and feel a little more positive.

Put your attention on what is the best of yourself, other people, the event or situation. Focus on the good thoughts and feelings. Find the best and concentrate on staying with the best. Fill your mind and being with delight, appreciation, positive thoughts and feelings and notice the difference when you do this.

How much time each day do you nurture and nourish yourself? Make it a point to add to it. Amaze and astonish yourself. Celebrate and enjoy!” Rex SIkes

When Will You Accept Your Destiny?

Embrace this notion fully:  You are a creator. Only you are the master of your destiny. You are in charge!

Whether you think it so or not, everything you experience is because of you. Everything you have or don’t have, all that you are or aren’t is up to you. Accept it. Take responsibility for it.

You may disagree but what does that get you to do so? Perhaps, it gives you some comfort and consolation. You can debate it but to what end? Try the concept on instead, take responsibility for it all, your past, your present and your future.

I happen to think that this is the case but even if it isn’t accurate – when you embrace the notion it gives you power to transform yourself. It is a useful concept to adapt. Forget about ‘gospel’ truth, and consider it instead as a rule for helping you to get ahead. Use what works and discard that which does not.

When you take 100% responsibility for everything it puts you in squarely in charge.

Then it is only you who answers for the results you get or don’t.

There is no one to blame when things don’t work out. If things are to be brought about it will be because of you and not anyone else. This is a place of immense power and opportunity!

When you put yourself in charge you can work with the power within you. When you think ‘If it is to be it is up to me’. When you take responsibility and operate from ‘I caused this and I caused that’ or ‘it is all because of me’ then you can change your thoughts, feelings, actions, reactions, responses, your plans, you can alter anything that isn’t working because the locus of control is on and in you and on no one and nothing else! This is a powerful mindset to operate from.

Some thoughts you may want to make your own if they aren’t already: ‘I am a powerful positive creator of my own destiny.’  ‘Happiness is available to all so it is available to me’, ‘If it is to be it is up to me’. ‘We become what we think about’.

All you have to do to change your life is think different thoughts! REALLY! Change your thoughts and change your life!

The reason why some people don’t move forward is that they do nothing, the think defeatist thoughts, or can’t believe it, they think it is too good to be true, or they think it must be hard not easy or they think it won’t work. If this is you change it and move forward in a new direction.

Whatever you focus on expands!

See yourself as a vibrant, powerful, positive, transmitter of energy. Imagine yourself as a powerful creator, responsible for bring you all things. THEN choose the very best for yourself. Nurture you thoughts and feelings and abilities. Hold in your mind positive thoughts and keep planting positive seeds.

Keep it simple, easy and do it every day! Each moment is a moment to enjoy and celebrate or let it slip away. Because what you focus on expands the more you enjoy the more you get to enjoy! Remember this and choose to delight and enjoy yourself throughout each day. Stay with it, make it a positive habit and enjoy!” Rex Sikes

3 choices when bad thing happens

Water can cut a path through enormous land mass and rock even when it begins as just a trickle. It is those thoughts, feelings and things you do bit by bit each day that make the most incredible difference in the long run. Condition yourself for more success and happiness by creating the habits that support you in getting what you want.

Every journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. It is each successive step you take, after you begin, that gets you down the road and on the way. If you keep moving in the right direction you eventually get there, but if you stop and quit you never will…”

“The bottom line is – when you make a tenacious decision that you will not let anything stop you in making your life what you want it to be, even if you don’t yet know how to do all that, you have won more than half of the battle. This is important to keep in mind. It is also important to remember this next point. You don’t need to know “how you will go about it” to begin getting what you want. Yes, it sounds counter-intuitive but I’ll explain more fully soon.

For now play with being clear about what you want and intend. Commit to yourself!  Promise yourself you will do this and then keep your promise! While determined in your mind also relax. Know you can do this, step by step, you will learn as you go along, you will make improvements along the way to your condition and you will get better results as you stick with it. Be firm in your mind. If you decide you will do it relax. There is no need to be anxious if you determine you will follow through.

You don’t have to ask over and over, you only have to ask once. It is not about hoping something will happen. This is about deciding your purpose and keeping your purpose clearly in your mind. So you don’t have to ask over and over. You don’t have to beg your future to come true. You are not hoping or wishing. You are making a clear decision on where you want to end up and you are traveling to that destination. You may be eager but you know you will ultimately get there. It is the same matter of fact, relaxed mind set you have when you think about going to the store or a favorite vacation spot.

You know where you want to go and you go there. The more you make the journey there enjoyable the better off you will be. You may be eager but since you know where you are headed you expect to get there. So relax. Get clear on it, get precise, get thrilled!

act as if you already have it

Imagine it as clearly and as detailed as you can in your mind’s eye. Spend time continuing to improve on this by repeating the process daily. The more you spend time imagining what it is you want the clearer the inner images can become. It is just like developing any muscle in the body. The more practice or exercise the better you get at it.

Drop by drop fills the tub. Spend some time each day thinking about your goals and what you want. Imagine that incredible future. Let the notion of living that way supercharge you and feel wonderful. Spend each day finding the best feelings and enjoying the day in incredible ways. Make it a point to live each day in the best most positive way you can.

If things come along to upset that plan, get back on course as soon as you are able. Nudge yourself back into it as you are able. Think: ‘all is good’. ‘great things are here for me even when I can’t yet see them’, ‘everything has a way of working out for me, so hang in there’. Think thoughts that comfort you, relax you as well as make you feel positive and powerful. Look for and find the good in every situation. Reframe any difficulty as opportunity and turn a less than glorious moment to your advantage by how you think and feel about it.

Accept roadblocks as temporary conditions. Know that as you go through them you will grow stronger and better. Everything IS really a frame of mind.

Lastly, keep this in mind because I think this is critical to our understanding.

Prior to humans on the planet cataclysmic changes shook the world. There were gorgeous days and tumultuous ones. Hot spells and cold spells. Anything that could happen did happen. Masses of land came and went due to weather, earthquakes, volcanoes, meteors, you name it. Every type of situation and circumstance happened.

All through this time, for eons and eons what there was NOT, what did not exist, was any human to state whether these events were good or bad or right or wrong. They simply occurred without anyone around to judge it. They simply happened, things simple were. Things existed and no one named them.

As humans arrived and became goal setters and getters judgments arose as to whether something was easy or hard and whether we could move forward unimpeded or if our efforts were thwarted. Judgements arose!

The human mind put a filter on all that was and declared things to be one way or another. Humans judge. Prior to humans things just were. Humans named these advantageous or calamity. They all are judged by how things affected the human. The truth of the matter is things still just are. They are neither good nor bad. They simply are. They are neither wanted or unwanted. YOU determine the meaning each circumstance has. You and I put our judgement on events, situations and people. In reality everything just is.

We could decide to not label, not judge, and just let things be. This is difficult for most of us because we were not brought up learning to do this. However, once we realize that it IS whatever we call it, and that whatever we call it may determine how we feel, think and act, then what we should realize is THAT WE make it so. We create our experiences by the meaning we attach to them. We create our experience by the importance we put on them.

When you pick up a stick you pick up both ends.

There is always contrasts. Things come along that may be unexpected and may seem to be negative. In reality nothing is negative or positive except for electrical charges. A battery has both poles but we don’t label one better or one worse. because both are necessary.

Life has its share of disappointments. If we can stop judging so much we can be free to enjoy everything in new ways. When we let go asserting ‘bad things’ we free up our mind to look for the seeds of positivity within.

The negative in life, since we understand how these terms are used, is as necessary as the positive. It is there as all things are there. It just is. From it we can grow and learn and move forward. Since judgements arise from us it is better, more positive, more opportune to declare less than glorious situations and people as challenges or opportunities that as bad things.

The point is this: It is whatever you say it is! As a result you will think and feel as a result of your labeling it. Whether you declare it good or bad AND that is what we have been doing all along. SO here is the change I propose. Imagine how much more wonderful life would be IF EVERYTHING that ever happened was an opportunity? Wouldn’t that be incredible. Every situation, person, event, that ever occurs is an opportunity, imagine that! Even if that isn’t true imagine how your life would be different if you had that frame of mind and looked for the good in all things instead of being victim to the bad.

Certainly, you can recognize a tough time. You don’t have to lie or ignore. You can say, ‘I have some challenges right now and I am not yet sure how it will resolve but things always have a way of working out well for me. I’ll be surprised I am sure because there are opportunities in this situation I have not yet discovered but I am looking to find them. I know ultimately this will work out for the very best’. Or say something to that effect. All is good. All will work out. In actuality it really all does somehow work out.

Keep in mind YOU become what YOU think about most of the time. You are either mostly positive or mostly negative but never 100%. SO as with all processes things change. We must accept that and continue to move forward in positive ways. Find the good in all, look for it, and you will find it. It may be hidden and you may have to search but you will find. Frankly, I believe if you did nothing else but this – find the good in everything – your life would already be radically better. Our mind set is incredibly powerful and our attitude does determine our altitude!

When we keep our focus on what we want, when we appreciate and notice and emphasize the thoughts and positive actions that makes us feel good we get more of it back. We live in a more permanent positive condition, and whatever comes are way, that is otherwise, we are better equipped to handle it. Keep the faith, relax, keep at it, and enjoy” Rex Sikes

…”You reinforce what you want to occur through repetition. You see it as already yours. You keep it alive with the wonderful feelings and you visit it often through out each day. When you do this repeatedly through much of the day you are building your positive muscle and forming a new positive habit.

Do this more times than you think negatively and you will spend most of your time thinking and feeling positive. We get what we predominantly think about. We always have and always will manifest our dominant thoughts. Hence, we become what we think about.”

“You want to maintain faith that this is what you end up with no matter what happens around you,regardless of your present or prior circumstances. You keep your eye on the prize and do not get distracted by any other circumstances.

Regardless, of what the circumstances may or may not be you keep focused on the end result you decided you want. You continue to reinforce this with positive powerful feelings. You reinforce what you put into motion.

Conviction, faith,  and a strong belief that all this is yours is part of the process. In your own mind you should believe it is already yours even though the outside physical reality may differ currently. You do this to do to get your unconscious mind working and to keep it working to go after and make happen what it is you decided you wanted.

I have described aspects of this process in prior posts too. We will continue to revisit and you should go back and re-read.

You must believe it is yours already! You are entitled to it. You deserve it. You are entitled to fulfill your destiny. Faith comes from, it develops from continuing to repeat to yourself what you wrote down and reviewing the mental movies you created.

Through repetition the faith comes. This part of the process you just have to trust. You will only discover it as you do it. You won’t be convinced by anything before hand without doing it. Faith comes from the actions you take. You transform your life because you do think in a particular fashion and act on those thoughts.

If you doubt you muddy the waters, you cloud the picture you interrupt the flow. It is as if you get a couple steps ahead and then fall back a few steps and this goes on and on. You may eventually get to where you want to end up, if you never quit, but it does take longer this way. Focused belief will get you their quicker.

You make clear concise instructions for your unconscious and energize them with dynamic positive feelings. Hold it in your mind and do this day and night. Don’t stop until you get what you are after. You will get there. Plus, you will enjoy it all along the way.

When you think about the future you it should delight you. Right there, that is the key. If it doesn’t you may need to make another choice for now. When you think about your future you want it to draw you towards it magnetically.

I know it sounds like a lot. It isn’t and it is. At first it may seem tough. It truly isn’t but you are learning to do something you may not have done much before in your life. You are learning to deliberately manage your thoughts and feelings. You are learning to target a result and bring it into being. In order to transform your life you have to decide if you are willing to pay whatever price there is in order to make your dreams come true.

You focus on all the good and new and delightful areas of your present life. You give thanks for all things and all people no matter what. In doing these you enhance your mental, physically, spiritual, creative energy. You vibrate at a higher rate when you feel good, confident and you expect to find good things each moment. You elevate everything about yourself.

Wouldn’t you like to feel better more of the time? Wouldn’t you want to be happier and more positive most of the time? Well, you can but it comes about only because of what you think and do.  Most people are dictated by the contrasts. They get happy if something good happens, or it is warm or sunny, etc. They get sad or lethargic if something bad happens, or it is dark or cold.

It is understandable that most of use do that because most of us didn’t learn anything different while growing up. It was reinforced that life happens to us instead of we creating our lives. Now is the opportunity to learn something new and get better results. It is time to take control and get what we want instead of accepting whatever comes our way willingly or reluctantly.

Life can be and is fantastic. In upcoming posts I’ll discuss what to do if you doubt, or if things don’t seem to be happening quick enough, or less than glorious thoughts and feelings intrude. Keep in mind you are learning and engaging a process and you are not an expert at it from the get go.

As with all things there is a learning curve. Be optimistic, expect the best, be confident and be gentle with yourself, and do what you are able to do that encourages small wins all along the way.

Small wins in the right direction each moment or each day get you further than a massive effort performed only once and then not repeated. Water can cut a path through enormous land mass and rock even when it begins as just a trickle. It is those thoughts, feelings and things you do bit by bit each day that make the most incredible difference in the long run. Condition yourself for more success and happiness by creating the habits that support you in getting what you want.

Every journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. It is each successive step you take, after you begin, that gets you down the road and on the way. If you keep moving in the right direction you eventually get there, but if you stop and quit you never will.

So move in the direction you want and remember it is a journey. Have a wonderful time along the way. Why do this, why is feeling good so important?  Have you ever noticed time passes way  quickly when you are having a marvelous time? When you are lost and caught up in good feelings time just shoots on by. So the better you feel on your journey the less time it will seem to take. The next thing you know may be that you got your goal! Isn’t that worth it?

…It begins the moment you decide! You send deliberate clear signals, messages, you communicate articulately with your unconscious mind and your unconscious gets it.

The method to get what you want IS the very SAME process people usually use to get what they DON’T want. It works in either direction. It is a process that works reliably. It never stops working.

NOW, we will use the very same process BUT instead of focusing on what we don’t want we put all of our attention on what we do want. We use the same process but DELIBERATELY NOW to create what we DO want.”

“Do you now understand how the mechanism works to get you either wanted or unwanted results? You see, it doesn’t care what is manifested, it simply operates because of the instructions, or messages, or signals that it repeatedly gets.

Again, this is how people attract and create money problems, anger, sadness, arguments with others, etc. Problems are created or enhanced or multiplied because one focuses on what one doesn’t want during most of their thinking time.

The person focuses on what they don’t have or what they lack instead of the opposite. They perpetuate their problems when they relive negative circumstances over and over in their mind and feel bad about it.

How many times have you relived an argument with someone? It usually does nothing to make us feel better. Instead, most of us  end up with looking for what we could have said or done to have trumped the other person. Usually we just feel more resentment or more anger while looking for ways to get even. It doesn’t help us get over it, let go of it and move forward feeling wonderful. That usually only comes about through forgiveness and acceptance.

Because people are spending much or most of their time in that ‘negative’ fashion it ensures they will get more of it. It is a vicious circle that needs to be broken. They look at their life and feel bad.

When they feel bad they feel worse and think nothing will help and then feel worse some more. Then they imagine the worst happening and feel even more bad. Whether the worst happens or not they spend most of their time feeling down, helpless and hopeless.

So many of us live this way much of the time. BUT there is another way to live! It may seem unfamiliar because you haven’t spent much time living that way BUT the good news is you do the very same thing you have always been doing ONLY you use better content. You focus on the positive instead. Since the mechanism is reliable you will get the results you want, no matter how long you have lived your life the other way.

For example, your television set doesn’t care whether the program aired is a great program or a lousy one. It just shows them regardless. You decide what you spend your time watching. If you spend time with bad programs whose decision is that? Choose to fill your mind with better material.

You must start the new way of thinking and stick with it to make it the same reliable habit as its thought predecessor. You must learn to spend the bulk of your time with positive thoughts and feelings because you can! Stop the negative and start the positive. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!

SO you keep these positive images in your mind  and you drive it home by your positive feelings. You make it a habit through repetition.

You aren’t begging to get it, because in your mind you already got it.

So you don’t ask over and over again. You have made it clear what you want.

You reinforce what you want to occur through repetition. You see it as already yours. You keep it alive with the wonderful feelings and you visit it often through out each day. When you do this repeatedly through much of the day you are building your positive muscle and forming a new positive habit.

Do this more times than you think negatively and you will spend most of your time thinking and feeling positive. We get what we predominantly think about. We always have and always will manifest our dominant thoughts. Hence, we become what we think about.”

“As we have been moving forward with these posts what I hope becomes obvious is that you must become clear on what it is you want. You need to define it and be specific. You  attach a deadline to it and then imagine it as if you already have all of it. You imagine living that life after the deadline has arrived and you have what you wanted. (more about this in upcoming posts).

You make positive pictures in your mind and feel energized, eager and expectant as you look at them. Experience it all as vividly, wonderfully and powerfully as you are able.

Once you get absolutely clear on what you want to become, and do and have – you have initiated the process. The moment you know what you want absolutely you begin making it happen within you.

I repeat: When you precisely define what you want to create in your future and you feel excited and anticipate it happening you began making it happen. It begins the instant you get clear on what it is you want. It begins the moment you decide!

The strong positive feels are what ramps it into action. It now knows what you want and that you really truly want it because you spend the bulk of your time thinking and feeling powerfully about it.

You keep the positive images in your mind  and you drive all of it home by your positive feelings.The better you feel the more quickly you make it all happen. You make it a habit through repetition.

Strong feelings whether positive or negative always reinforce whatever it is we are thinking about. We get back wanted or unwanted by what we spend most of our time thinking about and how we feel when we do.

This why we get more back of whatever we experience. It is why we get more of what we don’t want at times. It is also why we muddy the waters and get poor results. (more on this in the next post).

If we are sometimes positive and then sometimes negative we don’t have a clear course to our destination. We do and then undo the results over and over again instead of moving swiftly toward where we want to be and what we want to have. This is why thinking and feeling positive most of the time makes all the difference in the world.

SO you want to keep these positive images in your mind  and keep feeling the very best you are able to during the day. Your pair positive image with great feelings and your unconscious understand that. You drive your visualization home by your positive feelings.

We create habits through repetition and you do want to make it a habit. So through you do this frequently throughout the day purposefully, each day until it becomes automatic for you.

This is why it is important to do something that is benefits you each day.  You do not have to be obsessed about it. Be relaxed and have fun but act in your own best interests whenever you can or remember to. The results are exponential and cumulative. You ultimately will get back way more than the effort you put into it.

But you do have to begin. You do have to do something if you want your life to change. You will have stay with it until you get the results you want. Most people don’t act with volition. Most people drift along pushed in whatever direction by circumstances and other people. Your life will measurable change immediately for the better once you take charge and live with purpose!

Are You Using Your Brain To Get What You Want?

You and I have exactly the same equipment as the wildly successful do. We have the same abilities as they do. We have the same amount of hours in a day and we all breath the same air. BUT the truly successful have accessed a cutting edge technology, a vastly superior scientific practice that puts them out front of all the rest. These successful investors, sports figures, celebrities, scientists, parents, and those who excel in every walk of life get different results from the rest of us, using the very same equipment, but using it differently and precisely. It is time the rest of us caught on and begin to capture some of that success for ourselves.

The successful people understand that it is an inner game. They know and use their minds with precision in ways the rest of us do not. Everyone has essentially the same capacity and we are all using our brains and mind power, more or less alike, but these successful people do things that the rest just do not do. Analogy time. Pretend everyone drives cars. We all drive cars and know how to but some people drive cars to great, wonderful, fun, exciting places while others don’t. Why do you suppose that is?

Let’s find out. Let’s begin to examine what we all do but that the successful people do differently. Let’s look at what puts them out ahead of the rest of us and that gets them where they are. I’ll explore this in a series of blog posts. So here we go, first point.

We all run movies in our head. Some of these images, sounds and feelings we are aware of and some operate out of consciousness. Whether we notice them or not we still make them and are influenced by them. We have a vivid and active inner life between our ears. What we do between our ears determines how much we experience life.

What we do in our minds determines whether we are proactive go getters, who create and get what we want, or whether we are more reactive and wait for things to happen to or for us. What we do inside our head determines our outlook on the world, our frame of mind, our attitudes and beliefs and whether we mostly enjoy our experience or maybe not so much. What we do determines whether we react more like habitual robots or respond with freer choice and free will. The inside determines the outside so much more than the other way around!

if you can dream it you can do it

Some people use their minds very powerfully. These are very smart people. I don’t mean book smart people who know lots of facts and figures and have very high IQs. They may be smart in some ways but that is not the smarts I am referring to. The smarts I am speaking of are much more important! There are people who know how to use their inner world to make the outer world conform to what they imagine inside. It all begins on the inside!

They create and cause things to occur that bring them positive results. They understand how to use their minds powerfully to attract what they want. These people are not only smart and successful (however one defines success) but they are wise. They make wise choices with their abilities and their efforts to bring about more of what they enjoy. They attract and create more love, health, happiness, well-being, positive relationships, warm inviting home lives, family, friends, career success, and wealth because they understand how it all works. Thought precedes everything!

When you understand how something works you can utilize it to get good results. As we grew in our understanding of electricity we could harness its power. The same is true with the powers of our own minds. Your mind can and already does incredible things. Whether it is serving you to get what you want most of the time or not depends on how you have been using it. You and I use our minds all the time and some of the times we do so deliberately.

The more deliberately we can use our mind the better results we can guarantee. For all us to get better results, like those people who already are getting fantastic results, we need to deliberately consciously train our minds to work better for us in our own behalf. We train our mind to look for and go after great results.

People have trained their minds to get good at many things.  Music and sports for example. Many get great results. Successful people in all walks of life use their their inner movie theater to visualize and get good  in whatever area they are successful at. They use their mind to their advantage purposefully and deliberately. The less successful people aren’t doing the same things the successful are.

This separates the successful from the non-successful by a huge chasm. There have been many important books available for eons on how to run one’s mind and create one’s future. The point is people don’t transform by reading, they only transform by doing. It is practice that makes perfect not the fact that you know something you never apply. Application, action is the proper fruit of knowledge.

What the successful do, and have already done, the rest of us need to do. We need to train our mind, we need to instruct it in what we want to be and have and what we want it to do and then we let it do that automatically. We create positive habits through training and then we live and we create from those habits.

Consider the sports star who trains their mind and body to compete and who practices and drills everyday. This athlete trains hard so that when they play the game all of their training and conditioning becomes a reliable asset. DO you think they would have enjoyed the success they do and play as well without the effort? I think not. They rehearse so that ‘when the going gets tough the tough get going’. (Vince Lombardi).

The results they get are due to the conditioning and training they undergo. They built the skills and habits needed to play and perform successfully, optimally. The truly successful people in this world do exactly the same thing. They know how to use their mind to get what they want and that organizes all of their efforts.

We initiate and maintain the process. Yes, we still manage the process but we learned through positive habit formation to allow it to work automatically in positive ways. It is already running on automatic most of the time, but if you aren’t enjoying the good life you deserve, if your results are haphazard, unreliable, if you feel unlucky and or you aren’t getting what and where you want then you need to train it to do better for you. So let’s get to it. Let’s train our minds to run better so we go after and get what we want and deserve in life. Those who succeed typically already know how to work with their inner world powerfully to get positive results.” Rex Sikes
