Are You Bigger Or Smaller Than Your Problems?

“This is an critical question. Are you bigger or are you smaller than your problems? If you have big problems it means you are a smaller person by comparison. Do you think you will solve them at that size?

I have written and shared within these pages that what you think about you get. An immutable law of the universe. Whether positive or negative you manifest what you spend most of your time thinking about.

Your brain doesn’t care whether it is positive or negative, good or bad for you, true or false it just provides you with more of the same. Your Reticular Activating System seeks matches inside and outside of you.

Believing Is Seeing

Nothing has any meaning except the meaning we assign it. The world went on prior to the arrival of humans and no one judged days as good or bad, catastrophic or calm and wonderful. Humans make evaluations.

Enter the human enter judgements. Days became good or bad, weather became good or bad. Situations became good or bad large and small. We assigned meaning to these for the first time.

There is no intrinsic meaning without human perception. That is all there is, our perceptions. Our perceptions are formed by our previous past conditioning, our experiences, the beliefs, values and opinions we have formed.  We use these and assign meaning.

Nothing Has Any Meaning Except The Meaning We Assign It

Perceptions are limited by our neurological processes and filters, our five senses. We don’t see the world, situations and events as is, we perceive these only in part. We can’t perceive the entire picture, through our processes and filters. We have limited info to begin with. However limited it doesn’t stop us from making judgements.

The purpose of this blog is to inspire, motivate and show you how else things can be. If we’re going to believe a fiction why not believe one that serves us better and supports us to make positive things happen. Believe the best version you can and make it happen.

Since we have been conditioned and respond from that conditioning automatically whether we want to or not, perhaps, it is time to change our conditioning  to respond automatically in a way we would like to. Then we could begin to get the results we want to get.

If You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

I have shared with you the importance of developing a positive CAN DO mindset instead of a negative can’t do one. We become what we think about most often. So become a powerful person of action.

Our thoughts determine our feelings, our feelings our actions or lack of them, our actions or lack of them determine the results we get. Thoughts precede actions.

Can Do helps make more things happen than can’t do. A Can Do person is a person focused on solutions. If you think you can or you think you can’t, you are right. Remember?

You Get What You Focus On

What you focus on is what you get. Are you predominantly focused on what you want or don’t want,? Do you celebrate what you have or focus on what you don’t have?

Do you love life or is it just okay? Are your problems big or small? Think about this for a moment? If your problems are big it means you are a small person. It should be the other way around.

I have discussed living as a winner, a victor, a champion an emperor. Why? Because the mindset of these are dedicated to success and accomplishment. You should be bigger than your problems.

You Attitude Determines Your Altitude

I write of an unstoppable attitude, one of commitment and persistence and often discuss Olympic Athletes as examples. These athletes know the commitment conditioning takes.

They commit, train for 4 years or longer, whether they feel like it or not, for seconds worth of competition. Those who get to compete are world class whether they medal or not.

The attitude, the dedication is wonderful. It is admirable. It is the kind of dedication we should have. Train your brain and your thoughts as an olympic athlete trains their mind and body.

If You Have A Big Problem It Means You Are A Small Person

So here is my question? What size are you? Are you bigger or larger than your problems? Are you in charge or do they dictate how you and life will be?

When you think about them do they loom over you or do you understand that all obstacles are there to learn from, resolve and move on. We grow through our struggles. We evolve.

The kite rises against the wind. Steel is hardened in the fire. Are you a champion or not? Are your problems larger than you or are you larger than the problems?

It Is All A Matter Of Perspective

Stop focusing on the size of your problems. Begin focusing on the size of you! The bigger you are inside you own mind the more easily you can handle things. The more we do the more we can do.

It is time for you to decide, don’t you think? Dedicate yourself to becoming solution focused instead of problem focused. Focus on what you want not lack or problems or what you wish to avoid.

Stop focusing on the problem and begin to focus on your goals and dreams. Take charge and determine you will pay attention to what you decide to pay attention to. You can aim your attention.

Decide Right Now To Be Bigger Than Your Problems

Steel your mind. Adopt the winner, the victor mindset and put your problems into perspective. There is no meaning except the meaning you assign. So assign meaning that works for you and supports you!

It is time to become larger than life and live like an emperor. Live as one who can and does successfully resolve difficulties no matter how difficult. Be the champion, the victor, the emperor.

Most negative people think of problems as overwhelming. Most successful people understand that all problems are simply things we handle on a daily basis. They are no big deal. They can be handled.

Be The Champion Be Unstoppable

They master their problems instead of letting problems master them. You can too. Devote yourself to learning to master your problems, handle them, and you become unstoppable

In an earlier blog I wrote about David and how he rushed and slew Goliath. David didn’t see Goliath as a giant and a massive threat, instead he trusted and declared that this day god would prevail.

Cut your problems down to size. Stop whining about problems and start seeking solutions. Speak only to bless, heal and prosper. What you say is what you get. Focus on solutions. Focus on your goals.

Your Future Depends On Your Decisions Now

The outer results are only a reflection of what is going on in your inner world. What you experience today comes from prior thoughts and conditioning. If you want tomorrow to be different you start your change today. Think differently and your life changes!

Decide you will be bigger than any problem Decide to be the victor, the champion, the emperor. Dictate your results don’t let them dictate you. BE bigger.

Someone once said, ‘the size of the problem doesn’t matter but the size of you does.’ Put your problems into perspective. This is what you can do. You can decide to never let a problem rob you of any success of happiness.

Our Struggles Make Us Stronger Celebrate Them

You are competent and able to handle anything that comes your way. If you don’t know how you can learn how.Your struggles are making you stronger as a result. You are tried and tested by fire. The kite rises against the wind.

Inside every challenge is a learning and an opportunity if you look for them. Live as the victor. Live large. Be the emperor of your life. Know you can handle anything.  AND celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Isn’t It Time To Be The Person You Always Wanted To Be?

“Isn’t it time to be the person you always wanted to be? Don’t you want the career, the relationship, the life you always hoped you could have? If you want more success and happiness you have to make new decisions.

You must decide, to choose, how you want to think, feel, act and live your life. I shared some ways you can begin to do that in my recent blogs. Here is something else you can do.

Give Yourself Permission To Change For The Better

If you don’t decide now you are living from a past decision. If that is fine with you then carry on. If, however, you wish things were different, you want to get better results, you don’t like your present circumstances, if this is how you think and fee, then you must make a new decision.

You must take the bull by the horns and choose to change things in your life that will enable you to make a difference for yourself. If you don’t decide, someone else chose for you, perhaps recently, perhaps a long time ago when you were very young. Still, someone chose for you. You need to make your own decisions. Don’t live from the past.

If you don’t act in your own best interest now, today, in the present, some other decision, made by some other person, that you adopted is controlling you and your outcomes. If you are okay with that carry on. If not change it now. You are the only one who should be in charge of yourself and your destiny. You need to be in control.

Your Future Does Not Depend On Your Past

Decide to be different. You may say, ‘wait you don’t understand, it is not that easy’. I understand it is not easy and that it COULD be easy. Whatever you think it is what it will be. If you think it is hard, you will be correct. If you think it easy, you will be right then too. Your thoughts make it so. Whatever you focus on expands.

Your thoughts determine what you get. Your thoughts create your feelings. Your feelings  lead to your actions (what you do or what you don’t do) which lead to the results you get. The starting point for all the results is your thoughts. If you don’t like the results you have been getting then you need to change your thoughts. Start now.

Give yourself permission. Make it okay for yourself to think and feel differently. Give yourself permission to see and feel and act differently, to get different, better, positive, powerful results. Give yourself permission to change your life for the better. Give yourself permission to make a new decision. Allow it. Permit it. Accept it.

Your Future Depends On The Decisions You Make Today

Once you do many things change for the better. They will remain the same as long as you remain the same. As long as you act from the past you will continue to get what you have always got. Move into the present, decide now.  Give yourself permission to use and enjoy your present to create a more wonderful future.

Some people never change because they don’t feel it is okay that they do. They remain stuck. You may need to give yourself permission and that is fine. Go ahead. Acknowledge that is is okay for you to move forward. It’s okay to change positively. Allow yourself to be okay with the unknown.  The future is wide open.

You can accomplish many things in the future once you get beyond being stuck. What keeps someone stuck is mostly old chronic conditioning. That’s okay it served you for a time and now it is time to change, let go and move forward in a positive direction of YOUR choosing. Permit yourself to be free of the past and take charge now. When you do it can begin to feel incredible. Enjoy it.

Enjoy feeling positive! Feel good about moving forward. Enjoy realizing this is the beginning. Many new ways of being can open up to you. Isn’t it time to be the person you always wanted to be? Do those things you always wanted to do. Have those things you have always wanted. Isn’t it time for you to begin today? Being right now! Delight and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

The 80/20 Rule: Are You Using It For Or Against Yourself?

“There is a reason why some people get what they want while others don’t. Did you know that? Would you like to know what it is? Better yet, would you like to know how to consistently get what you desire? Read on!

Frankly, the notion of getting is incorrect. It is more accurate to state, people ‘get’ what they make happen. It is true we are able to attract others, even events and circumstances. We attract, either positive or negative. BUT mostly, we create it and make it happen.

It Is More Important To Think In Terms Of What You Create

The Pareto Principle, named for an Italian Economist, is usually explained this way. 80% of productive accomplishment, in a company, is performed by only 20% of the workers. 80% of a company’s profits come from 20% of its customers sales.

80% of your positive results come about if you spend 20% of your time devoted to thinking and feeling your best. This means that most people aren’t spending even 20% of their time, energy or effort being positive, feeling great and making their dreams come true.

If you can’t spend even 20% of your time dedicated to your purpose, dedicated to having a wonderful fulfilling life, why should you expect to ever have one? This is why people believe in magic, the expect something from outside themselves to make it all better.

You Bring About What You Think About Most Of The Time

It doesn’t work that way. The Law Of Attraction, if you choose to believe in that, doesn’t work that way. You will attract negative or positive, whatever you spend the most time being, doing. Like attracts like. What you think most often you become!

If you want to feel great you must put your energy into tipping the scales toward feeling great. If you don’t do at least the minimum why should you expect any change. That is simply silly. Your goal should be to feel good 50, 60, 80% of the time.

Start with whatever you can do. 5% heck even 1% more positive will make a difference. Then work your way up. Increase it bit by bit. Focus on the positive. Focus on what you CAN DO. Focus on gratitude and celebration. It will make an incredible difference.

What You  See, Say, And Feel Is What You Get

Then as you begin to  feel great a greater percent of your time you will make happen what you want to make happen. You will build momentum. If you feel good and are vibrating all that well being you will attract others, events, circumstances and the good you desire.

If your thoughts and feelings are on your dreams and you feel delighted you will make it happen quickly. The issue is that most of people’s 20%, heck most people’s 80% is spent taking care of business, feeding the dogs, picking up poop literally and figuratively.

They are putting out fires, distracted by news and gossip, fighting traffic or their family members, paying bills, worrying about how to make ends meet. In other words they ain’t living large and having fun most of the time. Their time is wasted. They are distracted. Are you?

Speak Only To Heal Bless And Prosper

We get what we predominantly think about and feel back into our lives. If our lives are scattered, ho-hum and so-so that is what we get back. If it is filled with chaos and upheavals that is what returns to us. Why would you ever expect it to be any different than that?

If it is filled with joy, love, confidence and feeling healthy, wealthy and happy then more of the same is immediately ours. Think increase. How can you increase the amount of time you spend focused on all the good things? You can if you really want to.

Where and how we spend the majority of our time, inside our heads, and by what we say to ourselves and others, determines how we feel and  the quality of our results and our life. You want better? Start thinking and feeling better right now. Begin by feeling grateful.

Focus Focus Focus Focus Focus Focus Focus

Find whatever you can enjoy and focus on it. Celebrate whatever you have and more will be added. If you aim yourself well you will find and hit the target. A little goes a long way. Make it a point to maximize what you do. THINK INCREASE. Bit by bit!

You are either increasing or decreasing or remaining the same. Do the little positive things that add up. Up your odds by upping your percentages. If 20% brings good results. Imagine if you were 80% positive what you might be able to bring about. Imagine that!

You, at least, have to be doing 20% to get somewhere better. I think 51/49 or 60/40 or EVEN MORE is the way you want to live BUT you first have to start and then build your way up. You can do this. Get it? Good. Now make it happen! Increase bit by bit, work your way up and you will begin to notice wonderful results beginning to happen. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Leader Or Sheeple? If You Aren’t In Charge Who Is?

“Some people never come into their own power. Sadly, they never know the upper reaches of their talents and abilities. They are truly rich but live as paupers. Wouldn’t this be a terrible way to live?

They have it all and can have more but they never realize what is theirs. They live below their means, below their resourcefulness, below their happiness and wealth quotient. I refuse to live that way.

What about you? Wouldn’t you prefer to live up to your potential? Wouldn’t you want to have more of all the good things you can have? Don’t you want the best for yourself? Maybe, you say ‘yup’, but you aren’t sure how. I’ll show you how. Read on.

What You Think About Expands

You can accomplish more and make your dreams come true when you begin to live intentionally. Too many people live haphazardly, they are victims of circumstances and events. They move through life from one upheaval to the next, as a cork bobs on turbulent water.

Occasionally, they can rest, relax and enjoy themselves once they put out all the fires. If this is you, you can change this when you decide too. There is great power in learning to decide and live and act decisively. There is power in choice and in choosing.

Instead of letting things happen choose how they will be. Decide. Decide to take charge. Decide to be responsible. Decide to commit and follow through on your commitments. Determine to make the most of all your moments in your life. Decide to live passionately.

What You Think About You Bring About

Live with enthusiasm, confidence and positivity. How? Make the decision. Then act on it. Don’t wait, don’t expect help from the outside. Realize if things are going to change you will have to change some things.

Today, live with intention. Determine how you will greet the day, how you will think and how you will act each moment throughout the day. Yes, you will forget, and slip up, but choose to become aware of when you act with intention and when you don’t.

Exercise your power to decide and determine how you will think and feel about situations. It requires awareness, mindfulness to stay with your choices and to notice when you have forgotten and move yourself back on purpose.

You Become What You Think About

You have a meeting. Determine how you will think about it in advance. Use your imagination, visit your mental movie theater and visualize how you look and sound and behave when you are resourceful. Declare it, affirm it.

Run the mental scenario and rehearse it in your head. Take some actual time to do this. Later, you meet your friends or family, imagine in advance how you will think, feel and behave resourcefully. See how you look, sound and move. Rehearse it in your mind.

Choose how you want it to go. Decide! Imagine it. Mentally review and rehearse it. Tweak it. If it is a problem you know you are going to encounter see how you behave resourcefully to get through it. Possibly, you resolve it. Perhaps you don’t. But see how you remain positive.

Thoughts Are Things

Use your brain to get you what you want. Not everything will go according to your visualization. Don’t make that a condition. Expect things to go well and if they don’t expect to be able to handle them competently, confidently and positively. Make the plan and then work the plan.

In sports there is defense and offense both are necessary. Contingency planning is important. If you know you will encounter a tough time, imagine it being tough but see yourself able to get through it the way you prefer too. Ask yourself, what do you need to pay attention to in real time to be able to do this? Then rehearse it.

If you always do what you always did you will always get what you always got. SO practice the new behaviors in advance of needing them. Review and review again and again. Mentally rehearse. So that when the tough moments arrive you are prepared.

If You Don’t Like The Results You Got Change Your Thoughts

Each time you decide to be in charge and be aware, each time you mentally rehearse you will exercise many mental and behavioral muscles. You will reap countless positive benefits. You will grow and develop so many positive muscles to do many more positive things.

You will exercise your ability to be aware and recognize when you serve and support yourself and when you are off base. You will exercise your decision power and your will when you decide to return to acting with intention.

You will exercise your ability to control your thinking and feeling to think positively, powerfully, to feel better more of the time. You will exercise you ability to triumph over any circumstances and make things happen. You will exercise your ability to be in charge, dictate the results you get and enjoy more of life, Isn’t that worth it?

Nothing Is More Impossible Than You Believe It To Be

Guess what, there are some bonus learnings and benefits I will leave to you to discover. What does it mean to set an intention?  It means to determine in advance how you will think, feel and behave. You decide, you create in your imagination, your run it, review it, repeat it. It is what you intend to do and make happen.

Each night before you good to sleep, do your gratitude and success list. Then decide how you want to arise in the morning and how you WILL arise. Imagine getting up in the morning and watch yourself. Hear yourself, feel the positive feelings as you do this in your mind.

Do you drag your ass out of bed or do you leap positively, cheerfully into your day? Decide before you go to bed how you will awaken the next morning. Then in the morning awaken that way. Do what you planned to do from the night before.

Throw Out Any Beliefs That Hold You Back

Don’t expect to be controlled like a puppet and do it without your own volition. That is the mistake too many people make. They think something will possess them to do the new things. NOPE! You must go ahead and carry it out. It is YOU doing it not some power.

What happens if you don’t?  Keep at it until YOU do. After all, who is in charge? Is it you or your old habits? If you want to succeed in more areas of your life you need to be the one in charge. Take control of your life by declaring, asserting and confirming you are! Because if you aren’t the one in charge, WHO IS?

Stop the old chronic programming that neither serves or supports you. Create new habits. How? Set intentions and then fulfill them. True, it won’t always be easy but it will be worth it. You may not always feel like it but it will be worth it to follow through.

Concentrate On The Job At Hand And Get It Done

Your muscle and ability to be in charge will grow when you take charge and consistently follow through. If you screw up begin again. So what if you screw up. No big deal. Professional baseball players strike out more than they hit but that doesn’t deter them.

Keep beginning again until you master it. Never give up, persist and you will have incredible breakthroughs eventually. Stop hoping for instant change and dedicate yourself to a life long pursuit of increasing your talents and abilities. Then you’ll find many blessings.

The positive results and enjoyment you get back from being responsible and in charge will delight you.  Live the lifestyle of a leader, and emperor, a champion and you will be thrilled. It will exceed your expectations because you haven’t lived that way, yet.

You Have All The Resources Necessary To Make Any Change

It is all in your hands. Decide now how you will live moment to moment. Victor or victim? Leader or sheeple? It is all up to you and only you how you choose to live. What will you do? Lead yourself in positive ways into positive opportunities and delights. Celebrate everything!”  Rex Sikes

The Secret Few Know. You Can Actually Pave The Way For Good To Come Your Way

“Would you agree we are limited by what we don’t know, yet? We are also limited by what we think we do know. We are constrained by both, knowing and not knowing. Still, we often act as if we know how the dire circumstances of our life will work out. We expect difficulties to get worse. Guess what, when we do, they do.

In my post previous post I mentioned being grateful for challenges that come your way. Obstacles and speed bumps present learning opportunities especially if you choose to look at them this way. They aren’t really good or bad, they are what we believe about them.

That which we believe is that which we will see. Believing is Seeing. AND what you see is what you get. The circumstances are and will be whatever you declare them to be. SO why not declare them to be blessings and operate from that mindset. It frees your thinking up!

I wrote about TRUST. A great mindset, or attitude, to develop about your circumstances is, ‘Everything IS okay! Everything will be okay. It will work out for the best. It always does. I always land on my feet. Some unexpected good is coming my way, I don’t know how or when or what it is but good is coming my way’. AND celebrate.

Face it. We see through neurological filters. We see through our previous, past, chronic conditioning and limitations. If you want to see and discover new wonderful opportunities you have to change your mindset so that you are ABLE to see and recognize them.

When you open up to the fact that things aren’t as they appear, you can be open to the possibility that good things are coming. When you recognize that you provide the meaning of all circumstances, you can assign the meaning that best serves you. You can literally pave the way for more good to come your way.

After all , if you are going to look back on a tough time and laugh, or consider it a blessing, or consider it an important life changing moment that was disguised back then, why wait?  Why not do it right now? Transform all your present moments.

You have the potential to make all your days much more marvelous by what you think and believe. What you think about you bring about. Your thoughts create your reality and give meaning to your circumstances. When YOU are in charge, as you should be, then you can assign whatever meaning you want there to be.

Dictate how you will think, feel and go through your circumstances. Decide whether it is a blessing or not. Consider it a blessing and trust that everything will work out for the best? After all, it usually does. In the long run everything tends to work out for the best anyway,

Truly, it usually does, BUT even if it didn’t, by adopting a more resourceful and resilient mindset you create for yourself more benefit than a narrow, negative limiting one. You open yourself up to your own resources and can discover possibilities you otherwise would likely miss. You benefit by staying open to positive possibility.

Remember, like attracts like. Birds of a feather flock together. You create and attract your circumstances by you thoughts. Thoughts are things. Very powerful things. What you believe is what you get. What you focus on expands. You become what you think about. What you think about you bring about. Attitude determines altitude.

The choice is yours. Suffer and burn or celebrate everything. Know deep inside you, everything always works out. You can handle it no matter what. Good things are coming your way even if you can’t yet see how. Have faith and enjoy the process. TRUST! Unexpected good is coming! All of life gets better when you delight, enjoy and celebrate everything” Rex Sikes

What To Do When Challenges And Obstacles Arise

“As you pursue you dreams and goals obstacles may arise. Things, people generally perceive as ‘bad’ or unwanted, may come up. Your path could be fraught with difficulty. If so celebrate and continue on.

Of course, you exclaim, ‘celebrate, Rex are you out of your mind?’ The answer is, ‘of course, yes!’ Let me explain to you what I mean. Trust. It is all about trust.

It can be trust in an outer god if you like, but I prefer to put that trust in myself.  So when I mention trust, I refer to trust in you. Still it can be can be trust god or in the universe. Whatever works for you.

Learn To Trust Yourself

Many people don’t trust themselves, heck they don’t even know themselves.  They aren’t yet aware of their resourcefulness, talents and abilities because most of their lives they focus on limitations and negative outer circumstances.

They blamed themselves, others and events. The time has come to stop that. The time has come to take responsibility for everything, whether or not you actually are.

ACT AS IF you are responsible for whatever happens. When you embrace this attitude it gives you great power and control. TRUST! When you are in charge you are responsible. Be in charge. Claim your power by accepting responsibility and end making excuses.

There are opposites, hot, cold, up, down, good, bad. There is day and night, winter and summer. The tide comes in and the tide goes out. There is happiness and sorrow. We need to accept these and work with these instead of resisting them.

You Actually Already Have All The Resources You Need

When you encounter difficulties along the way, a useful mind set to adopt is that it is a test of your strengths and abilities. You protest, ‘but that isn’t real!’ In all probability it isn’t, but it is a useful mindset to adopt.

From neuroscience we know that everything is a matter of our perspective. We don’t actually know what is real or even interact with it. We act on limited information. We are constrained by our own neurological filters BUT we believe things to be as we perceive.

In other words we believe whatever our version of reality it is. But we don’t ever have the whole, complete picture. We have a fraction. So our version is never THE correct version. It is simply A version. It is not necessarily even accurate and definitely not true. It just is.

Consider this, I have discussed it before. Many horrible events that people think they will never make it through, some time later are looked back on and viewed as the most important, significant, life changing event in their life. They see it completely differently years later.

With other events, we are able to look back and laugh. This tells us it isn’t so much the event that is important, although we think it is. It is our reaction to it, our perception of it and the meaning we place on the event. We decide whether the event is good or bad.

So what is the ‘truth’ about the same event viewed differently? There isn’t any set truth. There is only the truth we give it. From our perspective, in one moment in time, it is bad. From a different perspective in another different moment in time it is good.

You Have All The Resources You Just Don’t Know It Yet

So what is it really? The actual event is neither.  The only meaning the event has is what we give it. We judge, we label it. We call it as we believe it to be. Then after a while, we think about it differently. It takes on new significance and new meaning. It is all in your mind.

So consider adopting the mindset that you are being tested. Whether you are testing yourself, or god or the universe is, or it is a random pop quiz, you are being tested. This can help you get through it. The test is to find your strengths and abilities. Cool.

There is another useful and wonderful mindset to adopt.

You are being challenged and it is a game. The stakes of the game go up. Your obstacles are worthy opponents. You want good opponents. A game really isn’t much fun unless there is a challenge to it.

Most great gamers seek the best, most talented, difficult opponents to play with, they don’t want it easy. They want significant challenge THAT is worthwhile and meaningful. Play the game with gusto.

Believing Is Seeing – That Is How It Really Works

TRUST as you move forward on your desires, take action, follow you plans, that as long as you continue, no matter what comes your way, no matter what obstacles and challenges arise that they will eventually go away. Nothing lasts forever. It will again be easier.

The tumultuous path will settle and smooth out. Night will again give way to day. TRUST that these obstacles were important for you to experience. They provide lessons you can discover when you look.

You can learn from  these if you remain open and available to their messages. Welcome the obstacles and challenges and troubles for what you can learn about yourself, others and life.

The Kite Rises Against The Wind

They are their for you to become aware of and discover wonderful things about yourself and your transformation. Your challenges are actually blessings, opportunities, lessons.

Is any of this true. Yes and no. It is whatever you believe it to be. I can’t definitely say there is anyone pulling strings, that isn’t my purpose here. I think all is good. All is divine.

We struggle with moments large and small, but it is all part of one thing. LIFE! It is only the human who judges whether something is good or bad, valuable or not. You can learn to  reframe problems.

Inside Every Adversity Is The Seed Of Equivalent Opportunity

Prior to human consciousness on the planet things just were. Huge tectonic upheavals, earthquakes, volcanos, ice storms and ice ages, violent weather and sunny wonderful days. There was no one to complain or to admire the beauty.

Enter the human. Now there are good days and bad days. There are better days of the week and less desirable days. Humans judge. That is part of our suffering. We make judgements that cause us pain.

TRUST you will get through it. It is easy when you are in a state of let go, acceptance and celebration. Embrace it and if you don’t move through it faster at least it won’t be as miserable.

Learn From Obstacles And Challenges

Resist it and it persists. Fighting it only makes it worse. Stop fighting. If you want to make you dreams come true accept whatever you find on the pathway, learn from it and keep going.

If there is a divine being testing you then that being surely must think you are worth it. You need to decide you are worth it and that within you you have every ability to meet every challenge.

THIS is why learning to control your thinking and thinking predominantly positive IS SO POWERFUL and important! When you take charge of your thoughts you take charge of the results.

When you understand everything has opposites and that IS okay you will have learned a great lesson. When you develop the attitude of a winner, a champion, a victor, and continue undaunted towards what is important to you you will have benefit  greatly!

What You Resist Persists

Evolve yourself into one who is not stopped by limitations but who is able to go on in spite of them. Discover delight in ways you can’t presently imagine. There are more possibilities than you might imagine. Don’t miss out on them because of limited vision.

People who climb everest don’t do it because it is easy. Everything you encounter on your journey IS part of your adventure. Receive it, learn from it, evolve with it, celebrate it and keep moving. If you consider it to all be good it will be. You’ll discover the hidden good.

When you celebrate where you are and what you have you open yourself up for having more of the the same. If you appreciate what you have inside you, and outside in your life you can have more because you create the room for more by your gratitude.

Energy Flows Where Your Attention Goes

What you resist persists. If you always do what you always did you will always get what you always got. If you do the same thing over and over again expecting different results you are a little crazy.

So if you want your life to change you must change some things in your life. You can change and control your thinking, your attitudes, beliefs and opinions. You can control your feelings and feel better more of the time. Wouldn’t you want that for yourself?

When you think better and feel better you behave and act better and are more able and apt to make your dreams come true. With the correct attitude you can be, do and have anything you want in life. YOU can make it happen.  Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

The Secret: You Must Push Through Limitations To Success

“There are many things that separate those who are successful from those who are not. That separate those who can do from those who can’t. AND those who do from those who don’t. There is something you can learn to do that will give you the edge and help bring you the successes you want. It isn’t easy at first but it is worth doing!

Today, do something you have been putting off. Do something you don’t want to do that would be good for you. Perhaps, it means cleaning your office or your home. Writing a paper of report that you have been dreading. Going to the gym. Eating right. Whatever it might be make it a point of not putting it off any longer.

It never helps to procrastinate. Typically, it just only adds pressure until we no longer feel we can go without getting it done, so we  give in and do it. If, instead, you take care of it, in  addition to decreasing stress, you do something valuable. You took charge. You dictated the circumstances instead of letting circumstances dictate you.

What We Want To Do With Ease We Must First Do With Diligence

This point should not be lost on you! When you dictate the circumstances you come from a place of your own power and authority. You put yourself in the driver’s seat. This is what successful entrepreneurs do. They are in charge and they make things happen. Isn’t that preferable to things controlling you?

When you do something you don’t want to do, when you push past your own limits and excuses and reasons for not getting it done you become a leader of yourself. You do it anyway. You are larger than the task. When you behave this way routinely, with this mindset you develop habits that help make you unstoppable and successful.

It means you make a commitment to yourself and follow through. It is important to keep your word to others and yourself. You learn to push through resistance and you learn to persist. Olympic  athletes train when they don’t feel like.  Can you imagine wanting to get up and train really hard, really early, day in and day out?

The More We Do The More We Can Do

Go beyond what stops you. Troops in basic training may not feel like getting up for roll call but they have external pressures to insure they do. Athletes going for the gold need to rely on their own internal means for training when they don’t feel like it. Motivation comes from action not by waiting for it.

Those who are successful do things those who aren’t will never do. They don’t fear work. The go the extra mile when others quit. They don’t let their emotions stop them from getting closer to their goals. They are driven. You can learn how to push through your limitations only by pushing through your limitations.

The more you do the more you can do. It gets easier once you start. Perhaps, you are one of those people who have to learn that starting is 80% of getting it completed. In the past, you looked at that task and talked or felt your way out of not doing it. Learn how to talk and feel your way into doing it. That would be immensely beneficial!

Develop Habits That Breed Success

You and I need to use our our own internal motivation and rewards to act. We need to learn to do it in spite of our best reasons for not. We need to learn to not listen to our excuses and start listening to all the reasons we should complete our tasks. Then we will have learned to keep going in spite of the odds and challenges.

We will keep going when we otherwise might have felt like throwing in the towel. We will have learned how to dedicate ourselves, commit to our goals and tasks and persist, until we achieve what we want to achieve. When you complete the task notice how you feel. I bet you feel pretty good and maybe even proud of yourself.

That makes it worth it too. You want to spend more time feeling good. When it comes to positive thinking there may be times you don’t feel like it but you persist anyway because you know it is best for you. As you develop the habits to take care of things ‘anyway’, in spite of inner resistance you are truly becoming a victor.

When you complete the task notice what you feel. Notice how you feel. If you feel good about it that is part of the reward you get for acting in your own behalf. Savor the feeling and appreciate yourself. Notice what you learned about accomplishing your task. You did it. Acknowledge and validate! Then take time to feel glad and celebrate everything.” Rex Sikes

You Will Never Succeed If You Are Doing This!

” Do you want to be rich? Have better health? Want to improve your relationships? Drive a new car, get a new home? Have confidence and do well with people you are attracted to?

You won’t ever do it. You wont ever succeed if you are focused on the reasons why you can’t. You will never accomplish it if you don’t think it is possible and pursue it. Negative thinking won’t help you.

You will stay as you are with the results you don’t like until you decide to take charge and change how you think about things. That is the truth about it. For some people it has to get really bad.

What You See Is What You Get

Some people won’t move forward until they ‘gutter out’. Sad, they wait so long to find the impetus to make things better. The truth about waiting to change is that you wait.

The truth about positive thinking? The only way to do something is to do it. Make no excuses, take the bull by the horns and make some positive changes.

Some people may claim, ‘it is too difficult’. They may state they don’t have enough information. They don’t feel like it or they aren’t motivated.

Stuck Is The Inability To Move In Any Direction

They can cite any number of reasons why they can’t but realize this: ALL the reasons you have for not doing ‘positive thinking’ are the very thoughts you need to change.

The excuses you maintain for not doing what would be good for you are nothing other than that.  Excuses! They are the negative thoughts you must change to be a more powerful positive thinker.

Those kind of thoughts are the very one’s preventing you from doing what would help you.  It is insidious. To succeed you must overcome the thoughts preventing you. You must push ahead.

What You Say Is What You Get

You think positive thinking is fluff. It doesn’t work. You tried it. It is too hard.  Okay, maybe it is tough at times. Perhaps, positive thinking isn’t always be successful but negative thinking never is.

Consider this: When you don’t feel like doing something what ARE you thinking? Are you thinking boy this will be fun? I can’t wait to dive into it! The rewards are immense and immediate!

This is worthy of my full attention. This is awesome, fantastic. WOW!!! Are your thoughts loud, clear and energetic? Are you excited and can’t wait?

What You Think About You Bring About

Most likely not. My guess is you are thinking it’s too tough, or you can’t or you don’t feel well enough, or you don’t have enough or, or or,  etc., etc.

Positive thinking is not magical thinking to replace negative thinking so you can stay in your room and hope and wish for money and abundance. Not at all.

Positive thinking replaces limiting beliefs, doubts, and excuses. Positive thinking turns ‘I can’t’ thinking into ‘I am able to’. Positive thinking provides you the power to get up and get things done.

Today You Are Where Your Thoughts Have Brought You

Positive thinking is for your benefit. Again, you will stay as you are with the results you don’t like up until you decide to take charge and change how you think about things.

Some don’t believe me. THAT is the problem. Proof won’t come along and change your mind. Seeing does not result in believing. You have the cart before the horse. BELIEVE IT and YOU will see it.

THAT is how it works. You can’t see it, you won’t see it, because your own beliefs, thoughts, reasons, excuses, blames and filters prevent you from seeing it. That is why you want the proof first.

You’ll Be Where Your Thoughts Take You Tomorrow

You are stuck in ‘I can’t do it’,  If you can’t then you won’t. If you won’t then you don’t so nothing changes. If you want your life to change you have to change things in your life.

If what you are doing isn’t work then you must do something else. If you don’t like the results you are getting, in order to get different results you must make some do things differently. Make changes.

It doesn’t happen over night. The results you seek may take time. That is just how things are. That is how the brain is designed to work. It creates habits and the operates from those habits.

You Can’t Escape The Results Of Your Thoughts

You habitually think the way you do. If it isn’t powerful, positive and serving you to get the results and kind of life you want, then that is what you can change, and must change, to have that better life.

The good news is you can create now, powerful, positive thought habits. It takes some time. Just as walking any journey is step by step but little by little you can experience immense benefits.

Your mind has told you what to do long enough. You’ve listened to chronic, bad thought habits. It is time you tell your mind what to do. Give it clear, concise, instructions, the right way AND IT WILL obey.

You Become What You Think About

Condition your mind for success. Condition it for happiness, health, wealth, loving relationships. Anything you want or desire but you must condition it. Otherwise, it does what it already does.

Drop by drop the tub gets filled. Bit by bit you will claim control. Take baby steps, it’s okay. A small degree of positive change can manifest incredibly large positive results. Isn’t that what you want?

Affirm what you want. Declare it. See it in your mind’s eye. Speak it. Assert it. When you do muster up all the wonderful, good, positive feelings you can. Shout it, chant it, FEEL IT! Be positive.

If You Can Hold It In Your Head You Can Hold It In Your Hand

Think, I am happy. I am healthy. I am rich. I can reach my goals. Make short, concise positive statements. Repeat them again and again with strong positive emotion. Day and night. Whenever you can.

That is how you got the limiting beliefs. You were exposed to them over and over. Now it is your turn to tell your brain what you want instead. Think positive and things can get better. You’ll see.

Sure, it might be hard. Instead of focusing on difficulty, focus on what you can and will do. Focus on it being easy and fun. Make it so and it will be. You get what you think about. You always have! So think the best thoughts not the worst. And while you are at it, appreciate what you have, feel grateful and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

What You Don’t Rule, Rules You!

“Why is it important to take control of your thoughts and feelings? Why do you need to control your brain? Why should you take charge of your life? Your brain is an organ just like any other in your body. It has a function to perform and operates by rules.

Neuroscientists, medical researchers and others know that thoughts are things.They are electrical impulses that trigger electrical and chemical switches in the brain. Our body responds to the thoughts we think. Our thoughts affect us!

Our beliefs, attitudes, opinions, and behaviors are made up of previously laid down neural pathways that function as patterns of behavior or habit. They are reliable and automatic. Many more are negative than are positive. There are thousands and thousands.

We adopted them growing up, from birth on. Our lives and present circumstances are the result of this neural conditioning. The brain does whatever it learned to do. It doesn’t care if the programs are right or wrong, true or false, beneficial or not. It does what it learned to do and it will keep doing these reliable until changed.

If you don’t take care to manage and control your thoughts and feelings your thoughts and feelings will manage you. You will continue on in the same fashion as you always have being controlled, your life dictated, by programs you adopted at an earlier age.

Some serve you well, many run counter to what you want. If you don’t learn to control your thinking and lay down new neural pathways and habits your old pathways and habits dictate the results you get. Change won’t happen unless you change it!

If you don’t like your results you must change the early conditioning. You must update and upgrade and develop positive new programs, and automated habits that get you the results you want. Whatever you don’t control controls you. Whatever you don’t rule, rules you.

The good news is your brain continues to learn and can serve you better when you take charge and direct it. Using the same method to learn previous programming you can learn new, more beneficial programming and begin to get the results you want. Take charge!

You work with the brain and condition it according to its rules. Then it is easy. If you don’t do it the way the brain most easily learns you will have a much more difficult time. If you want to get new, better results, and make your life grand keep reading this blog.

In it I share how the brain works, how you can condition your mind for happiness and success and much more. Don’t just read once, read and re-read. Go back through these pages and study. BUT reading alone won’t make the difference. You must apply what you read.

You must use what you learn. Do the exercises. Practice the procedures. Apply the principles. Read to inspire and motivate and learn how. Then do. The proper fruit of knowledge is action. To know and not to do is to not know. If you want to your life to change you must change things in your life.

You must put these methods to work. So keep reading, keep doing. Have fun, enjoy the process. Be patient and keep the faith. Great things are ahead. Claim your life back. Rule your brain and your life. Dictate the results you get. Become the author of your life and write happy chapters! Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

What If You Don’t Believe In Your Own Success

“People ask me, ‘what should I do if I don’t believe in the affirmation I am repeating?’ This actually is a great and an important question. There are a couple ways to think about it.

The point of the affirmation is to come to accept and believe the statement you are making. You are affirming with authority and intense positive feeling that what you say is what you are.

You may not believe it at first. That is normal. In repeating the affirmation you are working to change your thinking from what you don’t want to what you do want. You are learning something new.

What You Say Is What You Get

For example.  You have no money. You have been focused on the lack of money. Now you want to change that. In order to change it you begin to focus on abundance and wealth. You think differently.

So you claim, ‘I am rich’. But you may not believe that. It doesn’t ring true. That is okay.  It does run counter to the experience you have been paying attention to. It is foreign to you current practice.

If you doubt it or feel less than glorious you need to keep at it enough until you do feel wonderful claiming ‘I am rich’. THIS is the point. It will be at odds with your current experience.

You Become What You Think About

You never thought this way before. In order to get comfortable and accept it, and begin to live from it, you must repeat it enough over and over. You must send a clear signal to your brain I WANT THIS!

If you don’t yet feel incredible, intense marvelous feelings when you affirm and visualize there is work to do. Stick with it. Keep doing it. All good things come in time to those who persist.

It IS important to feel good when you visualize and affirm. If you think and affirm ‘I am rich’ and it feels wonderful, great! Keep at it. If it doesn’t feel good keep at it. Soon enough you will.

You Can Be, Do And Have Anything 

Do something to make yourself feel good when you affirm. Shout it. Ramp up the enthusiasm. Get excited. Jump up and down. Sing it. Whatever makes you feel good, utilize!

This might seem tough but by deliberately intend ing to feel good you are training yourself to. Work the muscle just as you would in physical exercise. Push it if you must. Have fun as you can!

Intend to believe the affirmation and intend to feel great while thinking and exclaiming it. Through the power of your will you are learning a massive amount of self control and valuable skills.

If You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

Through repetition and strong emotion you are sending a clear, concise message to your brain this is what I am. This is who I am. This is what I believe. I AM RICH. Ultimately, your brain will get it.

You can search here for my work on Directed Questions™ which is another way to assist you in accepting the affirmation and getting what you want easily and swiftly. Incredibly valuable!  Look into it.

The point is you should want to learn to deliberately control your thoughts and feelings and do whatever it takes to gain that positive and powerful ability. Pay the price whatever it is.

Stop Being A Passenger In Life Become The Driver

It is your brain and your life. It is up to you what you make do with it. If you opt out of controlling your thoughts, as most people do, the alternative is you remain the same. Your thoughts control you.

If you chose to control it, while it may be somewhat difficult at first, ultimately it gets easier with practice and the benefits are incredible. Whether you do or don’t is completely up to you.

It will seem foreign, so what. Get used to it. You will through practice. That is the point of spaced repetition. Anything and everything you have ever learned you have learned this way.

Go Where You Decide To Go Don’t Be Taken For A Ride

I’ll save that discussion for another time. For now supercharge you affirmations with positive feelings. Find out how you can cheerfully and powerfully chant them with full expression. Have fun doing it!

The more omph you add the sooner they take hold. The quicker you make changes. The more you repeat the thoughts you want to believe the more you will believe them. You change your thinking.

Take charge and learn to think what you intend to think. Learn to be in charge instead of having your brain run on automatic old, negative programming. If you want it bad enough you will. It’s up to you.
