This Can Change Your Life: Can You Answer These Questions?

“My last post consisted of questions I asked if you could answer. Believe me I have plenty more questions you could ask yourself and perhaps down the road we  can explore those together. The question I have for you is did you stop and take the time to consider each?

Did you answer the questions? Were some easier than others? What answers did you get back. Did some answers make you feel wonderful? Did some bother or upset you? If so, in either case, why do you suppose that is? Explore, examine, take time, reflect. Why?

What did you uncover? Why don’t you feel on top of the world if you don’t? One of the reasons is that when you ask questions such as these you encounter your beliefs or limitations. You encounter your rules. You encounter you optimism or pessimism. Insightful?

Beliefs Are A Magnet That Attract Your Reality – You Create It

You encounter you. If anything presented as a limitation you might wish to further explore that. I recommend it. Examine the belief or rule, the feeling, the limitation and ask questions about it. Why is it there? What might it mean? What does it cause you to do or not do?

How does it help you? How does it limit you? Does it protect you? When will you stop it from being a limitation? Do you need it  any longer? Perhaps, it served you at one time but isn’t useful any more? Maybe it is time to change it? If not, why not? What to do instead?

What would you rather think, see, imagine, and feel that is more in alignment with who you are? When do you want to begin doing this? What is a more supportive belief or rule you can adopt and make your own? Will you do this? Will you commit to it? If not, why not?

Always Remember What You Focus On Creates Your Reality

For example, I asked can you celebrate everything? If not why can’t you? What is it about that thought that you would say no to? If you said no, why what are the reasons? These are other supporting beliefs, or values or rules that operate underneath your main one.

These work in conjunction. These tend to hang together as a cluster of grapes does, each in a bunch. You can change one and you may have to change or adjust some others. I asked if you will celebrate everything. What did you encounter? When could you?

What would be necessary? What would make it possible? Is it desirable? Can you imagine counting everything as a blessing? If not why not? If yes, why is that? Seek to uncover that which holds you back so you can change and adopt more supportive ones. Get it?

If You Spend Life Expecting A Storm You’ll Never See The Sunshine

You never have to, nor should you ever, be held back from some positive good, that harms no one, but allows you and others to move forward into being who you and they want. Find freedom to be and expand your horizons and make your positive dreams come true.

You make it happen first inside your thoughts and feelings and then by the positive inspired actions you take. You continue to find or create away, adjusting as necessary until you arrive. You keep going and never quit? Do you understand this? Can you do it? Yes or no?

Can you will you commit to making your life as you would like it to be? Can you do it and assist others to live their dreams while allowing them or others to support you as well? Can you discover and practice the belief that everything is a blessing?

Your Beliefs Determine Your Actions – Actions Determine Results

Can you?  Will you turn a sows ear into a silk purse? Can you concentrate and focus on what you want and work to make it happen? Will you? Will you focus on the silver lining and not the darkness? You do realize your success and happiness is up to you?

Explore, discover, ask and uncover. Seek, knock and wait expectantly. When you find notions that make you feel bad or don’t support you as you are or want to be have the courage and tenacity to examine them, and then choose whether to keep them or not.

Or put them into contexts. In some cases or situations they may be useful to keep while in others they do not apply and shouldn’t be applied. Exchange them for positive ones when possible. Reframe as necessary. Move forward. Can you do this? If not, why not?

Believe In You And Your Power To Create The Future You Want

Explore, discover and evolve yourself. Free yourself to be you who can live the life of your dreams. Enjoy the process. Have fun. Take it lightly but seriously. Spend time throwing out those beliefs that no longer fit you or those that hold you back. Practice gratitude. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Can You Answer These Questions?

“What do you have? What don’t you have, yet? Where are you? Where do you want to be? Who are you? Who are you becoming? What have you done to contribute to becoming that? What positive things can you do? What will you do? How much do you want it?

How eager are you? How driven? If you must have it why don’t you? When will you. Why do you want it? What will it do for you? What won’t it do? What can you let go of? What might you allow and accept? How will you be better off when you do? Will you do these?

What can you begin to celebrate? What can you stop from being a problem and embrace as a learning and blessing? How soon will you feel blessed by all of it? When will you begin to feel grateful? How about right now? What prevents you from being grateful? Why?

Whether You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You’re Right

Can you be grateful that? What can you learn from it? Can you feel grateful for that?  What do you have to be grateful for? What can you appreciate no matter what? When will you allow gratitude to flood you? How soon? Why not right now? What can you do now?

How much delight will you allow yourself to feel? How much fun can you enjoy? When do you think you can learn to appreciate all of your life? When can you be filled with gratitude for all you experience? Can you learn to celebrate everything? If not, why not? How soon will you allow yourself to? If not, why not? When will you celebrate everything?” Rex Sikes

If Your Want To Succeed And Be Happy You Must Learn How To Direct Your Mind

“If you haven’t yet mastered the art of affirmations this post is important for you to read. Some people can’t make them work because they just can’t seem to find an affirmation they are willing to believe and use. Remember, finding the sweet spot is critical.

To get good or great results with affirmations you need to emotionalize them and believe them. Remember, you want to make declarative statements you believe are possible and that you can and will make happen. If you feel bad or don’t believe it takes longer.

The sweet spot is affirming some goal or desired outcome that is big enough to provide a stretch but not so big you don’t believe it possible. You can always work up to the big, big, one, one step at the time. Anything is possible if you believe it is. It all works. it does!

If You Think You Can Or You Think Your Can’t You Are Right

You just have to know how to make it work and work it. Some people never figure it out and give up. Your big goal is at the top of the ladder. You don’t believe it is possible currently. So you make minor goals, like rungs on a ladder, that help you get there step by step.

If you still can’t figure that out the there are alternatives.  MyDirected Questions™ is powerful and fabulous whether or not you use affirmations. Questions direct what the brain pays attention to. You use wonder, curiosity of fascination to affirm what you want.

You begin to wonder how soon, at some point, you will find yourself delighted, to make 100 million dollars, and how incredible it will feel to make awesome discoveries along the way. You inch your way to it by getting really curious. You ask open ended questions.

Whatever You Can Conceive And Believe You Can Achieve

You don’t draw a line in the sand and say ‘I am this’ instead you consider how quickly and easily you can begin to find yourself delighting in doing those things that get you closer to making 100 million. You ask how soon you can find yourself feeling this?

‘How incredible can I feel as I begin the process of finding new ways to bring more money into my life.’ You don’t know the answer to that. You didn’t ask ‘will you’ or ‘won’t you’ or affirm you are or aren’t. You asked how good can you feel as something occurs.

You don’t know the answer to that question. Your brain has to look for an answer or multiple answers. It won’t stop with one answer, because it works by finding many. That is just what it does. So in using Directed Questions™ you work with how the brain works.

Imagine With You Mind – Believe With Your Heart …

You don’t ask, ‘will I make’ or ‘can I make’ 100 million dollars (although you could answer yes to this) you ask, ‘how delighted will I be to discover myself on the path to making 100 million dollars?’ or ‘what are the first steps I will amaze myself in doing that help me…’

You entertain the idea while asking questions around the idea. You don’t go at it directly but you direct your mind to look for answers and solutions and open yourself up to them along the way. You utilize what is called ‘Transderivational Search’. Search – get it?

TS means your brain continues to look for and find answers even after you stop asking. It seeks outside your awareness. Just as your Reticular Activating System (RAS) finds matches and associations for examples or memories you elicit your brain seeks answers.

… Achieve With Your Might – You Can Do Make It Happen

If you ask, what is the capitol of Arizona? Your brain doesn’t need to progress further than the answer. If you ask, ‘in how many different ways can I feel delighted while working on making 100 million’? your brain doesn’t know so it doesn’t know to stop. It keeps looking.

That is what you want it to do. Generate as many positive ways you can feel delighted while going after your goal. The result you want is two fold; the positive feelings and the numerous possibilities you generate. Now your brain works for you and there is no resistance.

You haven’t drawn a line in the sand. You have asked an engaging question that entertains and hooks the brain or mind to search for you. If you ask ‘why am I so stupid’ you will get numerous examples. If you ask ‘why am I so brilliant’ you will get numerous examples.

The Wise Person Doesn’t Give The Right Answers …

We already are using questions to direct our mind but most people don’t have the good taste to ask ones that make them feel better and accomplish more things easily. We have been conditioned to ask ‘what is wrong’ or ‘why I am I such a putz’ type questions.

At first, you may find it easier to get back one type of answer than the other, or you may find you get a negative answer more quickly, because you have asked these kind of questions from habit. Those neural pathways are well traveled. Well, they are, aren’t they?

Ask better, different positive ones and it may seem a little sluggish. The reason for this is your habits have been negative. It will still work in powerful and incredible ways but you need to develop the habit of asking powerful, positive, directed questions. Get it?

... The Wise Person Asks The Right Questions – Direct Your Mind

‘I don’t know how soon it will be before I make 100 million dollars but how much fun can I discover exploring the many different positive opportunities all along the way that help me to feel excited and filled with joy? How quickly and easily can I feel wonderful?’

Get it. Don’t be stuck. Start moving forward easily and effortlessly. ‘How delighted will I be to discover the many different ways I will make my dream come true all along the way? How much fun and enthusiasm can I feel each day as I consider this?

‘How much delight and enthusiasm can I begin to more fully feel as I take actions steps toward getting what I want? Even though I am not sure how to do it how quickly in how many different wonderful ways could I begin to find myself feeling amazed and delighted?’

Knowledge Is Having An Answer …

‘In how many different ways can I discover myself asking questions and making positive changes that bring me more of what I want? Remember, direct your mind to get what it is you want while describing how you want to get there is the key. Have fun!

Edison didn’t know how to make a working light bulb until after he made a working light bulb. The Wright brothers didn’t know how to fly an airplane until they flew one. Once they did it they knew how to do it and repeat it. Until they they were experimenting.

You will be experimenting too until you get your goal. Once you claim it you will be able to look back and see how you did it. SO stay open. Be available to everything. Stay positive and never lose faith and never give up. Keep pursuing and maintaining a positive frame.

… Intelligence Is Asking The Right Questions – Direct Your Mind

Keep your mind positive and aimed at making it happen and you can accomplish great things. AS you move forward you will become aware of other things you can think and do. You will adjust and adapt along the way. Just as a baby begins with baby steps, so can you.

Believe you can! If you don’t, yet, that may be the first area you want to work on. Get it? Of course you do and if not yet, you will. Direct your mind in positive ways. No one will do it for you. You have to do it if you want to enjoy the results. So do it. Have fun. Be grateful!

Feel positive and enthused. Feel wonder, enjoyment and curiosity as you ask your questions. Become like little child. Get really curious! Become fascinated. Explore and you will discover how easy it is. As you do enjoy, delight and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

How To Get Through The Tough Negative Times!

“Choose your thoughts. Pick the most positive, powerful, supportive ones you are able to. First, congratulations on making a decision. You decided to choose to focus on these positive thoughts. Focus on them. Let them be predominant in your mind. Affirm them!

Now, congratulations on choosing. Pat yourself on the back for doing something positive in your own best self interest. Instead of whining, complaining, making excuses and blaming yourself of others you chose to think positive. You elevated your thinking!

Really congratulate yourself. Celebrate for taking care of yourself. Appreciate yourself fully. If not fully, at first, then a little bit. Bit by bit you will come along. Whenever you move yourself positively forward be sure to express gratitude. Gratitude works wonders.

Your Happiness Depends On The Quality Of Your Thoughts

If or when you are tempted to think less than gloriously just – STOP – pause, take a break, do something else, move, shake it up. STOP and take a deep breath. Breathe, take another. Settle, relax. Become aware. Watch the thoughts. JUST watch them. Those thoughts!

They  are not YOUR thoughts they are just thoughts you have been conditioned to think. Those thoughts are old chronic habit thoughts from your past. It doesn’t matter how you came to think them right not, whenever you think those, stop and breathe and watch.

Simply become aware. Breathe. Then you can gently ask questions that lead to positive outcome for all. You want the outcome to be positive for you, and any others if they are involved. Use Directed Questions™ to direct your mind in powerful and positive ways.

Thoughts Are The Energy That Create Your Life – Choose Wisely

Activate your attitude! Choose to be different and think different thoughts. Choose and act positively for the best of everyone. Affirm the positive. Affirm how you can and will be positive and make the best of a less than glorious situation. Realize you can learn to.

You can learn t o do anything if you give yourself time and permission to do so. You can learn if you are open and willing. You can make positive permanent changes at the deepest levels if you allow yourself to AND you take the initiative. You truly can!

Once you stop blaming, whining, excusing and complaining you can do almost anything. You stop getting in your own way and you begin to move in new directions. Once you take responsibility for yourself and your abilities to control your thinking great things can begin.

You Are Confined Only By The Walls You Build Yourself

Tough times occur. That is just the way it is. Sometimes bad things happen. How you repsond determines much. You can react from old conditioning or you can choose to respond from awareness, understanding, positivity and power. It is all your choice!

You can support yourself greatly if you think, ‘I don’t know how this will turn out BUT I know it will always, in the long run, turn out for the best.’ You can think, ‘I have made it through troubles before, I always land on my feet’. Think, ‘I can handle this, watch me!’

Use Directed Questions™ and affirmations. Visualize what you want. Move forward step by step affirming your way. Pat yourself on the back for each bit of progress you make. Remember, don’t blame or excuse yourself. You will learn not to eventually, no worries.

Look To The Bright Side Of Life And Choose To Be Happy

When you set your mind on the outcome you want. Think ‘this or something better is coming my way’ and ‘I don’t know yet how blessed I will be in all this but I am eager and excited to learn what delightful surprises are in store for me’. Focus on what you want.

Focus on that which is good and positive for everyone involved. Encourage and nurture yourself along. Breathe, let go of difficulties, stay positive and celebrate.  Find gratitude and keep that attitude. Open your heart. Expert Reveals: Why You Must Vacate Your Comfort Zone!

“If you are comfortable lying in bed, it is cozy and warm, plush and easy do you ever want to get up and out? When comfortable it is just that easy to stay as is. What is comfort? For some it is as just described. Everything is wonderful and easy, and warm and good.

Welcome to Part 19 of The Secret To Success And Happiness Few Know And Won’t Tell You. The series continues. Hope you are enjoying it. Feel free to comment.  Part 20 tomorrow. Let’s go!

For others it is the familiar. It is the known. It is sameness from moment to moment. Conditions do not vary much. It is reliable and secure. For some it is a place for everything and everything in its place. For some it means the absences of unpleasantness.

Stretch Yourself Beyond What You Know

Most personal development never occurs inside our comfort zone. It seems to mostly only occur when we willingly or are forced to leave or abandon it. Why? I’d say by the description of comfort itself it should be obvious. Learning life lessons seem to come by trials.

It may be that it doesn’t have to be this way but since it seems to operate this way most frequently it seems one should accept it and embrace it. Opportunity when it presents itself, presents itself as it is. We may not get to change how and when and what it comes as.

Embrace change. Embrace hardship. Embrace struggle. Embrace challenge. What? Why? you exclaim. Because when you do you take the sting out of it. It may not be any less difficult but you can wrap your mind around it. If you don’t care it is hard, then it isn’t really.

Stretch Yourself Beyond What You Think Is Possible

It is our struggles against struggles that magnify them. It is the resistance we put up and the fight that prolongs them. I am not saying give up I am suggesting giving in. Go with the flow, when they arise. Don’t dam up the energy. Allow, let go and move on.

I am not suggesting you don’t solve problems or overcome your difficulties. I am suggesting you don’t make an issue of them.  Energy flows where you attention goes. Focus on what can be done, focus on what you want, not on what you don’t want or why things exist.

Oliver Wendell Holmes stated, ‘A mind stretched to a new idea can never go back to its original dimension.’ This is very positive news. Once stretched you go further than you would have without being stretched. But stretched implies some pull, some difficulty.

Recognize Your Limits Then Go Beyond Them

To change we must stretch and go beyond what is comfortable. We must get out of our comfort zone. We must leave the known and venture into the unknown. When we do we encounter new experiences and new ways to think and behave. These change us.

This may be why so many people experience massive breakthroughs when finally their back is against the wall. They have no options. Everything is lost or about to be. Once in the gutter their is no way out but up. When all is lost they find their true self and resources.

When everything is stretched to the maximum change occurs. We surpass limitations and boundaries that truly only exist in the mind. Our only limitations are the ones we think we have. Once we are aware and go beyond our limitations anything becomes possible.

A Good Goal Should Be A Stretch For You To Reach It

Focus on solutions. Focus on what you have that you are grateful for. Focus on what you want to create that is better. Transformation can occur in an instant. Like the enlightenment paradox. It can take years of practice to transform in a moment.

However, without the years of dedication that moment would not likely present itself. In other words, plan for a miracle! Expect good things to happen. Seek and you will find them is how the brain works. So look for what is good and what you want more of. Yes!

Some things you can learn in only a few moments but take a life time to master. To get really good in any endeavor requires, time, devoted energy, practice and commitment. If you want your life to change in incredible ways for the best commit to practicing basics.

Go Beyond The Known – Go Beyond Yourself

You don’t have to stay out of your comfort zone all the time. That would be too much all at once. That is what happens when people have their backs against the wall. Instead, practice a little daily vacation from your comfort zone to reap great rewards.

A little goes a long way. Stretch, push your boundaries bit by bit. Remember, drop by drop fills the tub. A little bit can bring about dynamic change, especially when you do a little bit consistently. Less is more. Especially, if that helps you stick with it! Take charge!

Read some positive motivational material each day. A chapter, a page, a paragraph, a line whatever you can manage but commit to it. Your mind will be awakened to new possibility and insights. Obviously, more may be better but do what you can. Stretch!

A Little Bit Goes A Long Way

Use affirmations and Directed Questions™ frequently throughout the day with strong, positive emotion. Direct your mind positively and powerfully to stay on track. Manage your self-talk and what you say to others. Only speak to bless, heal and prosper.

Visualize what you want as if you already have it. Feel the marvelous feelings. Do this once of twice a day for a few minutes but actually do it. If you always do what you always did you always get what you always got. If you want to change you have to change things up.

You must do different things! Pay attention to feeling good and make it a point to feel as best you can each moment. If negative feelings arise notice what you are thinking. Take it as signal to become aware of and change your thoughts. It’s a signal. Use it.

If You Don’t Truly Want It – You’ll Come Up With Excuses

Encourage yourself to feel a bit better whenever down. You don’t have to leap into bliss but nudge yourself towards feeling a bit better instead of wallowing. In doing this you set directions to travel in. You begin to move out of pain and into more positive feelings.

It is up to each of us to initiate our own movement and development. It gets easier the more often we do it. We learn to take charge of our own evolution. When hard times occur, and they will, we are better prepared through daily, regular, practice. Master these basics.

Leave your comfort zone. Stretch yourself. Guess what? Stretching yourself will become more comfortable too. Everything gets easier, and you get better at it,  through devoted practice. Be willing to stretch yourself to a new idea and a new way of being! Enjoy it.

If You Truly Want It – You Will Find A Way To Make It Happen

I emphasize gratitude and appreciation for whatever is right now. Good or not so good there is ALWAYS some good you can find in it. Why bother to look? Because you build within yourself a scanning mechanism, the ability to find good when very hidden.

That ability is a game changer! When you can find opportunity and good inside the very not so good your mind is much more under your control and working on you behalf to bring you good things. You move from stuck to unstuck so much more readily and easily.

New worlds open up for you. New thoughts, feelings, actions and results. It is exponential in nature and builds on itself. It begins to make all good, even when it isn’t, so you can do positive things about it. It is a life changer! Discover it for yourself if you haven’t.

Explore – Delight – Adventure – Celebrate 

Enjoy, delight, have fun. Don’t take changing too seriously. Stretch yourself. Try new things that bring you joy. Surprise and gift yourself. Allow life to be exquisite. Little moments can be delicious and are important as big ones. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

What If You Don’t Believe In Your Own Success

“People ask me, ‘what should I do if I don’t believe in the affirmation I am repeating?’ This actually is a great and an important question. There are a couple ways to think about it.

The point of the affirmation is to come to accept and believe the statement you are making. You are affirming with authority and intense positive feeling that what you say is what you are.

You may not believe it at first. That is normal. In repeating the affirmation you are working to change your thinking from what you don’t want to what you do want. You are learning something new.

What You Say Is What You Get

For example.  You have no money. You have been focused on the lack of money. Now you want to change that. In order to change it you begin to focus on abundance and wealth. You think differently.

So you claim, ‘I am rich’. But you may not believe that. It doesn’t ring true. That is okay.  It does run counter to the experience you have been paying attention to. It is foreign to you current practice.

If you doubt it or feel less than glorious you need to keep at it enough until you do feel wonderful claiming ‘I am rich’. THIS is the point. It will be at odds with your current experience.

You Become What You Think About

You never thought this way before. In order to get comfortable and accept it, and begin to live from it, you must repeat it enough over and over. You must send a clear signal to your brain I WANT THIS!

If you don’t yet feel incredible, intense marvelous feelings when you affirm and visualize there is work to do. Stick with it. Keep doing it. All good things come in time to those who persist.

It IS important to feel good when you visualize and affirm. If you think and affirm ‘I am rich’ and it feels wonderful, great! Keep at it. If it doesn’t feel good keep at it. Soon enough you will.

You Can Be, Do And Have Anything 

Do something to make yourself feel good when you affirm. Shout it. Ramp up the enthusiasm. Get excited. Jump up and down. Sing it. Whatever makes you feel good, utilize!

This might seem tough but by deliberately intend ing to feel good you are training yourself to. Work the muscle just as you would in physical exercise. Push it if you must. Have fun as you can!

Intend to believe the affirmation and intend to feel great while thinking and exclaiming it. Through the power of your will you are learning a massive amount of self control and valuable skills.

If You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

Through repetition and strong emotion you are sending a clear, concise message to your brain this is what I am. This is who I am. This is what I believe. I AM RICH. Ultimately, your brain will get it.

The point is you should want to learn to deliberately control your thoughts and feelings and do whatever it takes to gain that positive and powerful ability. Pay the price whatever it is.

Stop Being A Passenger In Life Become The Driver

It is your brain and your life. It is up to you what you make do with it. If you opt out of controlling your thoughts, as most people do, the alternative is you remain the same. Your thoughts control you.

If you chose to control it, while it may be somewhat difficult at first, ultimately it gets easier with practice and the benefits are incredible. Whether you do or don’t is completely up to you.

It will seem foreign, so what. Get used to it. You will through practice. That is the point of spaced repetition. Anything and everything you have ever learned you have learned this way.

Go Where You Decide To Go Don’t Be Taken For A Ride

I’ll save that discussion for another time. For now supercharge you affirmations with positive feelings. Find out how you can cheerfully and powerfully chant them with full expression. Have fun doing it!

The more omph you add the sooner they take hold. The quicker you make changes. The more you repeat the thoughts you want to believe the more you will believe them. You change your thinking.

Take charge and learn to think what you intend to think. Learn to be in charge instead of having your brain run on automatic old, negative programming. If you want it bad enough you will. It’s up to you.

How To Begin And End Your Day Right

“Some people go to sleep dragging the disasters of the day with them. They end up with fitful sleep and awake tired the next morning dreading the day. Have you ever done this?

There are great reasons to stop if you do. Beginning and end of days are great times to set things right, cleanse, let go, refresh and set positive expectations.

Use morning and night time right and you will discover many benefits. You will sleep better. Dream productively. You will awaken refreshed and happy to greet the day. You’ll be more productive!

WHEN you do this you give yourself an incredible present! You kickstarted your day in a powerful and positive and delightful way! Do this daily and you will develop a wonderful morning and evening ritual habit that will serve you well. You will be surprised!

Either You Run The Day Or The Day Runs You

Best time for an attitude adjustment is first thing when you wake up. Set the day right in the first few moments. What you give your mind to think about or spend time focused on during the first 30 minutes of the day impacts your entire day. So use this time well!

Be choosey how you fill your mind the first thing.

To start well be grateful and happy to be alive and have a new day. You can be thrilled and enthused. Take some time to say your affirmations. Do your visualizing and some positive reading.

Begin And End The Day With A Smile And Positive Thoughts

Smile, laugh for a good five minutes or for as much time as you are able. Have a glass of water, and begin your day.

If you want to begin well make sure you end well. Go to bed feeling grateful for the day. Let go of any baggage and enter sleep focused on health, and well being. Drift off into positivity.

Prior to sleep you might want to do the some of the same morning rituals. List your gratitudes and successes, visualize, affirm, do some reading and have good night. Set your mind and body for sleep similarly to how you set your mind and body to greet the day. Enjoy!

What To Do When You Just Don’t Feel Like It…

“Do you get inspired only to lose it? Do you you feel positive and then not? Does it sometimes seem like a struggle to keep centered or on the right track? If yes, first know this is completely normal. Everyone goes through it. After all, we are human.

We have ups and downs in our journey. We may not want them but maybe we ought to. When we open up, accept, make the way for, invite and receive we move ahead faster than by resisting. Struggles help us grow. Down times do as well. Contrast is good.

If it weren’t for discontent we might never change. We don’t want to be complacent and comfortable and miss out. At the same time we don’t want to strive and miss what we can appreciate. Balance is the answer. Celebrate struggles, be grateful for all. Then life IS grand.

You Are The Key To Change

I wanted to share a comment from a reader. I answered in the comment at the blog post and I answer this blog for today. I felt it may apply to others so I wanted to address it to as many as possible, not only to those who see the particular blog comment.

The author wrote: ‘As long as I read your post I feel positive and confidant . But after that I go back to the same mental frame . Even that little time frame will expand someday and I look forward to it happening . I thank you .’

Thanks for sharing. You have the correct attitude. That is wonderful. Even though you may not feel positive and confident all the time you look forward to that day when you will enjoy it more so because you know what you are doing now will expand. AND IT WILL!

Take Action Now

That puts you ahead of the game. Expecting to win IS playing the game well.  That IS a positive and confident mind set. You ARE looking forward to that day become more of a regular occurrence. Congratulate and validate yourself and your awareness! Wonderful!

I add the rest only as a reminder to all of us. Reading is only the beginning. You want to DO that which helps change your thinking. The easiest way to accomplish this and enjoy lasting success is to fill your mind with positive reading material daily. Put on a smile!

Read the blog, re-read the blogs. Make it a study not light reading or entertainment.  Read positive and inspiring books, listen to positive and inspiring audios, watch uplifting DVD’s. Listen and watch again and again. Repeated exposure to the same material is amazing!

The Secret To Change – Not Fighting The Old But Building The New

There are 24 hours in a day and most people don’t direct their mind for much of any of it. Researchers say 95-99% of what we do daily is habitual, routine, chronic, thinking, feeling and behaving. It is previous past programming much of which is less than glorious.

In order to begin to change it we need to tip the scale in favor of the positive. We do this through daily dedication and practice. Each positive step we take in the direction of what we want gets us closer to our destination. The journey, how we get there is important.

Have fun. Delight. Enjoy the journey. Find positive infographics, posters, mottos, sayings, affirmations that you can begin to repeat sincerely over and over again. This is very powerful. Look at my blogs on Directed Questions and apply that information.

What You Resist Persists

Set aside time for a gratitude and success journal. List what you are grateful for and you daily successes. Validate what you appreciate about yourself and other. Acknowledge your wins. Visualize yourself, feeling positive, loving, confident, happy, strong.

Whatever you would like more of acknowledge and emphasize. Concentrate on it. What you focus on expands. Accentuate the positive! You bring about what you think about! Energy flows where your attention goes. Maintain your mindset bit by bit. Smile more!

Help others in positive ways. Give to others without expecting anything in return. Appreciate yourself, circumstances and others. Celebrate everything! Persist and soon a new day will dawn. Old habits seem tough to break but you can learn new ones. Smile!

There Is No Better Time Than Now

Smile more, laugh more, Celebrate everything! Move, walk, notice nature and the beauty that surrounds you. Look at how and where the world is good and plentiful. We live in an abundant universe. Notice that. Be gentle, kind and encouraging to self and others.

The way you form new habits  is the same way you learned the old ones. Correct spaced repetition. You perform the same drills again and again in sports to become a better athlete. The same is true about become a positive thinking champion. Keep doing it!

Drop by drop fills the tub. Step by step the journey is made. The more you do the more you can do. Anything worthwhile is worth having difficulty with at first. Whatever we want to do with ease we must first do with diligence. We become what we think about all day.

You Can’t Make A Positive Change With A Negative Attitude

Do daily practice. Read some as much as you can each day. If nothing else read at least a page, a paragraph but DO something. Listen when able. Keep the journals. Repeat the affirmations out loud enthusiastically and silently day in and day out. Smile more! 🙂

Have fun, have faith and you will soon see change. It takes a bare minimum of 21 days to make or break a habit. It can take longer. Make this a daily practice. Commit and keep going don’t quit. Persist. Stay in touch! Oh, did I mention, Smile more?  AND celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Be A Deliberate Creator And Get What You Want From Your Career And Life!

“Why should you clarify your goals? Is it helpful to define your purpose? Is writing these down important? What does knowing what you want, specifically, do for you? What good does writing it down do? Is it important to plan? I get asked these questions a lot through the years.

Knowing what you specifically want enables you to make a detailed, precise mental image of what you are going for. It isn’t vague. It is specific. You fill it with detail. For example, if you wanted a new car, it is best to specify the exact make and model of the car.

How many doors, the color inside and out, the roof, the glass, the type of wheels and hubs. Every element of the car. Heated seats? If you are a car fan then your probably know all the specifics. That is great because you can see it more clearly.

Imagine driving in it. See your hands on the wheel, feel your grip  on the wheel. Feel the comfort of the seats. Notice the power and the drive. Imagine it fully. The more you are able to do that the more  you are on your way to getting it. Remember, you make it happen!

What You See And Say And Feel Is What You Get

Know exactly what you want. Know when you want it. How will you get it? You may not know this yet, but think about it. Dream about it. Come up with a plan. As you fantasize about getting the car of your dreams you mind will deliver to you a plan in whole or in part.

Listen, watch for it. Pay attention to your ideas and hunches. Keep notebook handy. What will you do in exchange for getting the car? How will you earn the money? Plan to get it and then you work the plan. Write it down. It helps your visualizations.

The more specific you are the more you activate those areas in your brain. Set a deadline when you want to have it. Between now and the deadline imagine what it is like to already own the car. See yourself driving it. Feel yourself driving it. Park it see yourself get out and into it.

Feel It Fully – Appreciate and Be Thankful

It is yours. How good does it feel? Feel it fully. What things do you say to yourself about your car? Did you name it? All the little things make a big difference. The more detail you imagine the more real it is to you. The more real it is in your mind the quicker you can make it happen.

Obsess about it! Enjoy it! Celebrate it. Be thankful for the car right now, that someday you will have. Celebrate and appreciate having it before you actually do in the outer world. Gratitude is so important. Feeling thankful for what you want, sends that message to the subconscious that this is important to me. You are feeling it!

Define your life purpose. Establish goals and benchmarks along the way. Have your long term important chief purpose and set goals you pick up along the way. 3 month goals, 6 month, 1 year, 3, 5 10 year goals. Whatever best works for you. Set daily and weekly goals. It work wonders. Get into the habit of thinking with intention.

Decide, ‘I will get these things done today.  I’ll finish these by the end of the week.’ Then work them off your list. Build good habits. Develop personal credibility with yourself. Never break a promise you make to anyone, especially your vows to you. Once you decide on what you intend to do follow through on it.

Always Do What You Say You Will – Follow Through

Hill stated in ‘A Year Of Growing Rich’, ‘The person who acts with purpose and a plan attracts opportunities. How can life give you anything if you don’t know what you want yourself?

How can others help you to succeed if you haven’t decided how to get there yourself? Only with definiteness of purpose will you be able to overcome the defeats and adversities that will stand in your way.’

Clarify what you want specifically. Write it down. Review it multiple times a day. Feel enthused, feel great feelings, as you review to provide your subconscious a clear example of what to marshall your resources around. If you can conceive it and believe it you can achieve it.

Make a practice of setting goals and getting them. You can start small if you wish then work your way up to medium and large.  Be specific and allow for something better. It is always wise to think, ‘This is what I want OR something better.’ Never demand how you make it happen.

Allow For Creativity And Spontaneity

Build you success history of accomplishment to look back on! Keep your word so that you are credible to yourself and others. Always follow through and make things happen. Be a CAN DO, intentional creator. Create what you want or something better.  Remember it is always up to you and no one else. YOU CAN be, do and have anything you desire. Why not dream big! Go for the gusto! ” Rex Sikes

Do You Know Why The Heck You Are Even Here? You’d Better!

“It isn’t enough to set goals. Goals are only pieces of the pie or of the puzzle, if you prefer. Goals are the steps you take on the way to your destiny. Goals are the rungs of the ladders that you pick up on your way to the top. There is something much more important than the goals you set and get.

Your purpose! Why are you here? For what were you born?  This is the larger and much more important piece to focus on. You are born into this world with a definite chief objective; to discover the reason you live, your destiny, why you are? Napoleon Hill called it your Definite Chief Purpose or your Definite Chief Aim.

Why are you? This is what you must uncover, discover and decide on. Your purpose is the umbrella that covers everything else. You were born into an abundant universe with more than enough of everything for everyone to participate in. Most don’t sadly, but that doesn’t change the fact that the universe has plenty for all.

You Are The Master Of Your Fate

You were born to delight and participate and partake of all good things. To celebrate and enjoy; people and relationships, events, circumstances, and all good things, whether you realize this or not; whether you believe it or not. – BUT –  If you don’t realize it, and if you don’t believe it, you won’t have it.

You must claim it for yourself. It is there, you are right smack in the middle of it, but if you are blind to see it and take advantage of it, no one else can help you. You must discover this on your own. Another aspect of your Definite Chief Purpose is why you live, what you want to do. This determines how your present and future unfold.

The larger your purpose the easier to fulfill in many ways. What are you totally passionate about? What do you love and enjoy? What kind of work makes you feel good when you do it; so good, you would pay people to do it? What work is play for you?

You Are The Captain Of Your Soul

Some people enjoy giving and helping others. Some contribute to the world in other ways. What is your way? Once you discover your ultimate purpose you set goals which move you closer to your purpose. You live your purpose, you accomplish your goals and that is the difference.

Hill states, any thing you want can be yours in abundance once you clarify and decide on your Definite Chief Purpose. Once you feel the passion and desire and enthusiasm for living your purpose everything else can begin to fall into place. Search your soul. Search your heart and your mind?

We have been discussing Barnes and his burning desire to become a partner of Thomas Edison. We shall continue. Between now and then consider this: If you already had everything you want, if you had all the money in the world, you are rich beyond belief in every way, what would you do? How would you spend your time? How would you contribute to the world?

Conceive It, Believe It And You Can Achieve It

In seeking answers to these questions you can begin to clarify and discover what trips your trigger. What are you, or would be, completely passionate about? No one in the world has ever made it completely alone. The ‘self made’ man or woman relies heavily on the help of others all along the way. How would you give back?

Remember, purpose is what you are after. This differs from goals,which can help you fulfill your purpose. Goals either move you closer or further away from fulfilling your purpose. We will come back to this point later.

Goals  may include making a certain amount of money, working in a particular field, developing certain relationships, living in a chosen location, having certain things, etc. These either align with your overall Definite Chief Purpose or they could conflict. This is why it is important to know what you are going for in the first place.

The Starting Point Of All Achievement – Definite Chief Purpose

What is the big picture? THEN what are the steps?  Are they congruent with what you want? Does each step bring you closer to fulfilling your purpose or take you further away?  These are important considerations, but first, if you haven’t already, clarify and decide on your purpose. Then you can learn how everything else fits.

Your purpose is there within you but it may not be obvious, at first. You don’t have to get it instantly. Mull it over, entertain it. Spend time with this important consideration. Search yourself. Ask yourself, reflect, consider, concentrate, be serious, yet playful and in time you will come to know it.

Be open to flashes of insight or answers that come from within. Feel grateful, celebrate everything! Remain positive. A positive mindset, a strong positive attitude is crucial for success. Stay open, available and optimistic and the answers will come. You will answer yourself. Once you do that IS the beginning of making your dreams come true.” Rex Sikes
