What You Believe Is What You Get!

“We are discussing the effects of beliefs on behavior. What we believe is critical to our success and our happiness in all facets of life. Beliefs are really nothing more than thoughts or clusters of thoughts that result in feelings. We habitually think more than 60,000 thoughts a day which produce feelings. That’s quite a few thoughts.

We can’t possibly keep track of all of them. The good news is we can use our feelings to figure out what we are thinking. If we feel good we are thinking positive and along the lines of what we want or what we want to include. If we feel less than glorious it is a good bet we are focused on what we don’t want or what we want to exclude from our lives.

Believing Is Seeing

The goal is to feel good most of the time. So when we discover we are not feeling good then it is up to us to change our thoughts to more positive ones. The negative feelings we have are a signal to change our thought patterns. Isn’t it nice to have a built in signal that alerts us it is time to change?

We can also shift our body and use our physiology to feel better. We can move, walk, skip, dance, breath differently, get a massage, play with a child or a pet. We can do anything to help us feel a bit better. The point is to make changing from less than glorious to glorious a habit. Bit by bit, step by step. Tiny doesn’t matter it is all good.

Because we become what we think about – we will become less than glorious if most of our thoughts are less than glorious. The reverse is true too. We can feel better if we think better. It works both ways. So do whatever it takes to build the habit of self correcting. Discover that you can feel great most of the time.’

Reality Is Determined By What We Believe

There is a saying, ‘Standing Is Harder Than Walking’. It is true. Have you ever noticed? Try standing still for any amount of time. There is a tendency to move, to fidget, to squirm. We want to move. If we can’t move large muscle groups we might blink more, or twitch small muscle groups. We want to move. We were designed to move.

It is easier to make progress and to change than it is to remain stuck or still. Our natural inclination is for progress and movement. We grow and develop. We learn. Being stuck takes it toll just as standing takes its toll on the muscles. Being sedentary takes its toll on the body and our health. We evolved to move most of the daylight hours.

We crave change but we fear it too. Our body and brain wants it while at the same time we make excuses not to change. ‘Should I’, or ‘shouldn’t I’, is an example of being stuck. Thoughts oppose each other. We feel unsure or bad, afraid to move. Why? It isn’t because we think or believe something wonderful is going to happen!

Standing IS harder Than Walking

We fear the worst. We anticipate failure. We think it will be too hard. Someone else is smarter and can do it but I can’t. We have beliefs about what could go wrong and what it would mean about us if we try and fail. So we don’t try. That takes a toll on us emotionally and spiritually. It becomes part of our history data bank.

Then when it comes to other changes we hope to make we look back and find historical proof for not doing anything. We will find examples of when we tried and it went awry or when we didn’t which proves us an even bigger failure. That cycle continues. Our self image; our self esteem; our self confidence; our self love eroded.

The purpose of this blog, and the wisdom from ancient times to now from the thought leaders is to help you feel better and make the changes you want. My hope is that you lead the life you want to live. Recipes, formulas, principles and suggestions have been handed down to us for centuries so we could improve our lot.

You Art Where Your Thoughts Brought You

YET, few do. Few will because they don’t believe anything will help. The become hopeless and helpless. They expect help to arrive from outside of them instead of from within. The truth of the matter is inside each of us already have what is needed to live as champions but few will look within. It is inside you where the truth resides.

This is the major distraction we all face. TV, media, economy, politics everything distracts. We look outward and outside ourselves for change. Or we look upward for help. Everything necessary for you to begin to live the life of your dreams is already within you. In order to find it you must first believe that is true.

Drop By Drop Fills The Tub

For some,  for many, that is too big of a leap. You would be well advised to begin by believing it is at least possible. See, we have to create an opening in our armor. Our armor is fashioned by our beliefs. We wear it even when we don’t need to.

In order for us to change we have to at least entertain the possibility that it is possible to change. If we can;t get this far we probably are doomed to remain stuck, standing, the same for years to come. If we can imagine a better day ahead we can bring it about because what we can conceive of and begin to believe in we can achieve.

The reason changes is difficult for some is because we look through our prison windows of beliefs. Our RAS looks for that which proves our frame of mind correct. It finds examples in the outer world to match our inner beliefs. Thankfully, though it may be tough, we can usually still find at least one reason to change.

Out Of Chaos Stars Are Born

Usually a crises or some devastating circumstances shake us up enough to the point we wake up and exclaim, ‘I really need to change something here!’ It is sad or unfortunate that there is a crises and wonderful and fortunate there is a crises at the same time.

If it is the impetus for change it is a marvelous, bitter sweet opportunity to turn your life around. If it comes and goes and you reinforce being stuck, down and out then it was an opportune time wasted. The good news is if not now, perhaps another time. Who knows? I don’t but it is possible another time may come .

As you read this post are you aware of your agreement and disagreement? Are you aware of the beliefs you have around the topics being made? If you become more aware of what you think and believe congratulate yourself. Not everyone will reflect in this fashion. It is a very useful exercise or way to spend your time.

Be Willling To Explore

Continue the process of looking for and finding those beliefs you have that support you and enable you and those that don’t. What does having these beliefs mean about you? You can ask this question of each belief you discover. Hang loose with whatever answer you get.

It takes some courage, patience and persistence to want to uncover our thoughts and beliefs. That is just the way it is. Remember, if you think you can or you think you can’t you are right. Keep examining your beliefs. We’ll talk more about how we change them in upcoming posts. Changing your beliefs will put you on the path toward making the life you want to come true.” Rex Sikes

Does What You Believe Serve You Or Hold You Back? Find Out!

“Our recent discussion has centered around the Reticular Activating System and our beliefs. For today, why not examine some of your beliefs. We have them about everything. Take a look inside to discover whatever it is you find. You will find plenty, I am sure.

Who we are; what we are capable or; what we aren’t capable of; family; friends; relationships; finances; health; career; job; economy; the future; the past; other people, the government, world, god, education, medicine, leisure and so many more areas.  You name it we believe something about it.

Our beliefs tend to be Positive or Negative. They tend to be statements such as ‘I can’ or ‘I can’t’. They can be in the form of rules and regulations as when you think ‘there ought to be a law’ or ‘people should just know better’.

If You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right 

‘Ought to’ or ‘should’ ought to or should tip you off that a belief statement is following. There are rules or beliefs about yourself and what you should do or could do and then there are rules or beliefs you hold about others. These may or may not be the same or be applied equally.

A belief statement may follow after the word ‘because’.  ‘Because’ is a reason you provide. We have beliefs about cause and effect. Beliefs tend to be assertions or declarations. Usually, any statement that begins with ‘I am’ or ‘I have’ cue you that a belief follows those words.

Some things we believe strongly and passionately. We fight about these at times. Others we hold less closely. Regardless, beliefs make up our map of the world and how we navigate it. Believe it or not, humans do navigate the world by a map. An inner map. Just as we do the outer world. Beliefs are an important part of that map.

Believing Is Seeing

They determine what we allow in and consider and what we don’t and won’t. They determine how big or small our abilities are as well as how large our world is. Our beliefs affect us in so many ways and at so many levels it is useful to uncover what it is we believe.

Some are very obvious, up front and in your face beliefs while others cluster around hanging out barely in sight. Both kinds affect us! Go ahead and examine, reflect, look at, introspect on what you believe about yourself. Write them down, as many as you can.

Put them into pro and con lists. Some will be enabling while others disabling. There may be clusters of beliefs around certain areas that seem to support each other or come out in a flood. Others you may have to tease out one by one.

What Do You Believe?

Some people will sit and fret thinking it is difficult to find beliefs (that would be your first belief to start with then) others will find this quite easy. Some are situational while others you may think are important for all time and space and for everyone.

Check into it and come back tomorrow. We will work more with beliefs as we move along. It is an important area that affects each one of us. If You Want To Be A Failure Just Say So – Otherwise – Do This!

“How do you learn and remember things? Do you review? Do you imagine in your mind or say things over and over, repeating them to yourself? Do you re-live moments in your imagination?

The reason I ask is because it is how we use our minds that determines the results we get back.

I’ve been discussing the working of our Reticular Activating System (RAS) and it’s job to filter data and provide us the proof for our beliefs. It finds matches in the outer world for what we have going on in our inner world. You will recall this from previous posts.

If your inner world is drab, weak, stuck and broke, the RAS will work to confirm it. Your brain will work to keep you that way. If you make your inner world glorious and a celebration  the job of the RAS is to find opportunity and advantages. It confirms what already is!

You Are Where Your Thought Brought You

Thoughts precedes action. Thoughts come first and produce your feelings. What you and I think we become. What you focus on expands. Whether conscious or unconscious the predominant thoughts you think are driving how you feel. These run the show.

Your pictures, images, thoughts and words, combined with your feelings are powerful. These determine the quality of your life. What you see and what you say and what you feel is what you get. The results you get in the outer world are first determined by the quality of your inner world. It is not the other way around.

You manufacture it in your imagination, declare it and assert it by what you say and how much time you dwell on it, and lock it in with your feelings.  The results you get in the world start inside you. You are a dream or a nightmare factory.

You Will Be Where Your Thoughts Take You

Your feelings drive your subconscious and determine what you pay attention to in the real world. Your feelings determine what you create and attract. It is important to feel incredible. When you do you open the windows to all good.

If you think ‘I sabotage myself’ you will. If you think ‘I am a failure’ you will be. If you think ‘I am a gracious receiver’ you will be. If you think ‘all good things, expected and unexpected, come to me’ then that is what you will get. You determine the results you get back.

For far too many people the interior is dull and shabby so they get dull and shabby results. Once they get those dull and shabby results they react to them with less than glorious feelings thereby producing more of the same less than glorious feelings and results.

You Cannot Escape The Power Of Your Thoughts

It becomes a vicious cycle until we decide to change it. That decision can revolutionize our life! The instant you truly decide to change your life transformation has begun. In that moment you can begin to wake up to a new, different and better reality.

YOU determine your inner AND YOUR outer reality. YOU and you alone. If you think ‘I am a success’ you will be. It is what you imagine and declare yourself to be. You decide what is! You are the only one who makes that decision. YOU define you and your life.

Most people don’t want to hear this. They want to blame the economy, their parents, the government, their spouse or neighbors etc. They make others the culprits. We grew up hearing those around us blame others so it is natural but not correct.

You Can Control You Thoughts And Make Them Work For You

Nothing absolutely will change unless and until you do! Granted you, as some have, may get lucky. It is quite rare. So if you are willing to sit around wallowing and waiting until you do that is your choice. You’d be better off taking charge and control of your life.

Each instant you have a choice about what your life is going to be. Each moment you have a choice about who you are and what you can accomplish. You really do determine if your dreams or nightmares come true. It’s due to where you put your energy.

It is completely up to you. That is either good or bad news to you. If you want your life to change YOU and you alone MUST change things in your life. No one else can do it for you. Excuses and blaming won’t help. Only by taking responsibility for yourself will.

Place your attention on the one who makes the difference. YOU and evolve yourself into the kind of person who is able to make their goals and dreams come true. YOU can be, do and have anything in life! Dream big and make your big dreams come true.

Whatever You Do It Is Up To You – Decide

Inside these blog pages are so many tips and suggestions, secrets and golden nuggets for how you do this. Life can be so beautiful and so wonderful. You can enjoy and delight in so much. Don’t miss out claim it! Revel in all the abundant goodness there is.

How To Stop Screwing Yourself Over Once And For All!

Would you like to stop getting the short end? Do you want more? Would you like a fabulous career, relationship and life? Would you want lots of love and lot’s of things? How’d you like  to be free to do what you want when you want? You can, you know? You can live the good life too! It works this way: (I recommend reading previous posts too).

Your internal thoughts and images, pictures and sounds, combined with strong  feelings inform your subconscious what you want. It is the visual image and sounds (self-talk, affirmations) combined with strong positive feelings that is the message! You send messages to your subconscious mind all day long.

Your Pictures, Self-Talk And Feelings Send A Powerful Message

Most of the messages you send you have been sending since you were a toddler. You have been informing your very own brain what to pay attention to and what to neglect.  Most of us never realize this is what WE are doing but WE ARE doing it. Instead, we blame others and the world. Once we recognize we are doing it we can improve it.

The stronger the feelings you have the greater the signal it gets. The better you feel, the more often you feel better the more often and stronger your subconscious gets that message.  The more often you feel less than glorious and the stronger negative feelings you have the stronger your subconscious gets that message.

This is how YOU communicate what you want to your subconscious. It doesn’t know or care whether it is positive or negative, good or bad, right or wrong it takes all it’s cues from what you send it. So if you don’t like the results in your life it is up to you to change it. Your subconscious mind merely carries our your wishes (among other things).

We Are Creatures Of Habit But Still We Can Change The Future

Your  subconscious is your servant mechanism designed to assemble your inner resources to help you get what you want. It is a servant mechanism designed to look for in life that which matches you inner world. It finds proof for what you already know. It delivers the proof by filtration. This is the job of the Reticular Activating System.

The (RAS) processes filters data from the real world. Since that can be than millions of bits of data at a time the RAS only allows in that which it thinks is important. How does it know? It looks for a match to what you deem important. That is what is meant when I say this process proves what YOU already know.

You RAS knows what is important by what you focus on most often accompanied by feelings. If what you know is crap, and negative and dire it will filter for that. Hence, your outer world reflects your inner. If, on the other hand, your inner world is glorious and filled with what you want that is possible your RAS filters for that.

People Think That Seeing Is Believing

It provides you either with limitations or with advantages and opportunities out there. Whatever you focus on is what you get. Whatever you imagine and say to be true for yourself IS true for you. That is what is meant by You become what you think about most. Whatever occupies your mind most frequently is what you get.

Have you ever noticed that people who say: they are broke and can’t get ahead rarely, if ever do? Or people who say they aren’t good with numbers, aren’t good with numbers. Or people who say they can’t lose weight never lose weight? The examples are endless. I am sure you can think of some you have heard or even thought.

Whatever people think about themselves they become. Whatever we declare or say is what we get. What you see, say and feel is what you get. ‘I am no good at this,’; ‘I am always late.’; ‘I am shy.’; ‘I hate broccoli.’; ‘I always screw things up.’ Your RAS filters out everything else and only allows in that which helps prove you are right.

In Reality It Is Believing Is Seeing

You can prove yourself a screw up if you want to OR you can prove yourself talented, successful, happy and loved. It is all in how you view yourself. So be careful which messages you are focused on because what you think you become. What you are focused on you will get proof for.

It can be a dire downward spiral or an incredible uphill ride.  The more proof you get the more you tell yourself it is true and believe it. The more you believe it the more you tell yourself it is true the more proof you get.

On and on it goes seemingly never ending. You think you suck and then get evidence for it which further convinces you that you suck so you continue to… on it goes. Wouldn’t you prefer this to end? Wouldn’t you want to find evidence for how you are a talented rock star in your world?

You Always Have Choices – Always

So the question you (all of us) need to ask is which would you rather live from? Do you wan to live and manifest the dire downward spiral or do you prefer the positive upward ride? You choice determines. You are the chooser. You have been choosing for a life time.

Is it time for a change? You do not have to live as you have if you don’t like or enjoy it. You can have better results and have a wonderful life. If everything is fine then keep doing what you are doing. If not, then make the change today.

Visualize! See and Say! Affirm, declare, assert who you are and what you want as though you already have it. See the good you want to have in the world as if it is already yours. It has already happened. Feel the feelings of owning it right now. Enjoy and celebrate these feelings. This is how you instruct the RAS to get you positive proof.

Having A Good Life Requires Having Good Taste To Choose Well

‘I can learn to do anything I put my mind to.’; ‘I am great.’; ‘I am wealthy.’; ‘I am healthy.’; ‘I am good with numbers.’; ‘I am confident.’ I am sure you can think of many more examples. Think positive and your RAS can begin to filter and show you positive proof.

This is how our belief systems work. We can change our limiting beliefs into positive new ones. Isn’t this great? You can condition your mind for a positive life! You can make great new positive good things happen. You can see and find opportunity that you previously missed. YOU can begin to live the life you want to live!

Your RAS will find in the real world that which matches your inner world. You can stop screwing yourself and living less than you deserve. You can end being a victim to your own shabby belief set and you can transform your mindset, yourself and your life into something outstanding. You can make all your dreams come true. You Don’t Have To Be Screwed If You Are Doing This!

“Your career, finances, romance, family and life can be difficult but there is hope. You can make a difference. It need not stay the same nor does it need to be hopeless. Wouldn’t you like to discover how you can make it whatever you want it to be? Wouldn’t you like to make changes more easily?

If your answer is yes then you must learn to condition your mind to give you what you want. It will deliver reliably when you train and condition it. The same conditioning is required by your body. You must condition it to get certain results and physique. You must take in the proper nutrition, exercise and get the right amount of rest.

The Law Of Attraction is the same. You need a daily diet of inspirational, positive and motivational thoughts. You need to nourish and replenish. You need to keep focused. You need to stay on the positive. If you feel stuck you are not thinking and feeling positive.

You Must Feed Your Body And Your Mind Well

You are thinking than glorious thoughts about what you don’t want, wish to avoid or hope doesn’t happen. That is why your feelings went south. If you think less than glorious thoughts you will feel less than glorious. SO our feelings are a great indicator as to what we are thinking at any given moment.

When you feel less than glorious it is the signal for you to change your thinking. Switch it back, as quickly as you are able, to positive thinking. Isn’t that cool. We have a built in signal device that let’s us know when we are off track. OF COURSE no one taught you that until now.

Imagine how life would be different if you knew that growing up. Our feelings would take on completely different meanings and instead of getting bent out of shape when feelings are less than glorious we would have understood them to be the resource they are. Oh well, better late than never.

Tiny Adjustments Applied Bring Great Change

You can train your mind AND YES YOU REALLY CAN train your mind. It is simple but not easy. You can train your mind and when you do then the law of attraction or the law of creation works as it is supposed to work. You have to accept responsibility. In this day and age few are willing to say I am responsible for everything.

Whether true or not if you begin with this premise, rather than blaming oneself, it provides a great wide latitude to create from. If everything good or bad is only up to you and no one and nothing else then you can change it from within. A complete new world will open up to you when YOU take full responsibility. This IS how it works.

You must do it. You can’t read about it and think everything will be better. You have to implement it and undergo a daily regime. Believe me, this is the area I had most difficulty with; ACTUALLY doing it. I’d try to understand it thinking if I understand it then it will work. Wrong. Doing it is what makes it work. I repeat, DOING IT makes it work! I must repeat this again. ONLY doing it makes it work!

What You Think  About You Bring About

YOU ARE ALREADY bringing about everything. That is why you must take responsibility. Realize this! It is not something you now suddenly begin. You have been doing it all the while you have been growing up. What you do begin now is to take control of the process and make it work for you instead of against you.

Claim your power. Put yourself in the driver seat! Steer your brain the way you want to. Stop letting it do whatever it has been doing and aim it intentionally. Deliberately determine what you pay attention to. YOU determine what you focus on BECAUSE what you focus on is what you get.

You don’t have to be screwed. One negative thought won’t harm you. It is the preponderance of what you think and how you feel that makes the difference. SO the goal is to think positively and feel your best MOST of the time.

Your Past Does Not Equal Your Future

The bad news is you have not been controlling your thinking it has been controlling you. You have been getting less than glorious results because of your lack of control. The good news is you can learn to control your thinking and get fabulous wonderfully positive results in your life and the real world.

Feelings are easier to notice than each individual thought. Whenever you feel down then notice what you are thinking and change it for the better. Do whatever you have to do to make yourself feel better.  (We discuss a little more next time).

As you do this you train yourself to return to the positive and good feelings whenever you go astray. If you’ll keep at it you’ll make it a habit. Along the way it gets easier and easier to stay focused on what you want. Soon it will become automatic. Eventually, it become natural and you live your life this way. That is great news.” Rex Sikes

This Is Why You Are Screwed And This Is What You Can Do About It!

“If you think you are you certainly are. It doesn’t matter if you don’t think you are because not believing doesn’t change anything. It is like gravity. Whether you accept it or not the result is the same.

If you fall from a tree branch you are going down. Gravity works whether you accept it or not.

This is why you are screwed.

Thoughts become things! Remember this! Keep it in mind. Anything that exists in human reality first existed as a thought. An idea in the imagination is what eventually translated into actual physical results.

Your Thoughts Become Your Reality

A spoon, an office building, the computer, the phone, the electronic device you are reading this on all began as thoughts. THOUGHTS BECOME THINGS!

The results we get are because of the thoughts we first think inside our head. From within to without.  Whether or not we believe it or even know about it. From the inside to the outside we are creating reality.

From the inside to the outside IS the natural order of creation in our human world. That is just the way it works. It is the way it has always worked. We get an idea and translate it into physical being. Our results are the result of our thoughts.

We become what we think about. What we focus on expands. What we think about we bring about. Thoughts become things. So here is why you are screwed.

What You Think About Mostly You Bring About Mostly

You want to manifest a better life. You determine you want wealth, for example, but you hate being poor. Each day bills arrive. Money is scarce. Where is your attention? What are you thinking about?

If you are thinking mostly about mounting debt, bills and scarcity and feeling poor guess what results you continue to get.

AND why not? If someone can think and translate an office building into being why is it difficult to imagine your thoughts are keeping you stuck right where you are at. They are! That is precisely what is occurring. Thoughts become things!

If you then think and feel ‘I am stuck’.  You are. You are going to be. If you think ‘nothing works’.  It doesn’t and it won’t. If you think ‘I have subconscious beliefs that sabotage me’ Then you do and you will continue to have. These thoughts ARE affirmations too!

When You Declare It You Command It – You Create It

Your results, your reality IS what you think it is. It IS what you affirm it to be. YOU are creating it moment to moment. What you see, say and feel most of the time is what you get. What you perpetually focus on expands. You declare it you command it. You create it!

That is why you must stop entertaining those thoughts and feelings! You must think about what you want instead. You must focus on the good you want in your life. You must put your energy into what you want and not be distracted by the rest.

You must not pay attention to circumstances. You must focus on the end goal. You manifest what you hold in your mind. If you go back and forth you get nowhere anytime fast. You remain stuck because you vacillate.

You are drifting and wishy washy. You are positive and sure one moment then the next moment negative and doubtful. You aren’t going anywhere when you do that. You create being stuck this way because you keep doing this same thing over and over.

Gravity Doesn’t Judge You – It Just Does What It Does

Here is the actual truth. The Law Of Attraction IS working. It is working perfectly well. It is doing just what it is supposed to. As sure as gravity does it’s job the Law Of Attraction is doing the job. It is applied equally to everyone, everything, all the time everywhere.

You are getting exactly the results you are creating and attracting. You are getting lackluster results. You are manifesting chaos and confusion. You are manifesting lack and sabotage. Sad but true. Face it. That may be the most difficult thing you have to do.

You get back the preponderance of your thinking and feeling. You get back whatever you put your energy into most. If you are mostly negative or focused on what you do not want that is what you predominantly get back in return.

You Reap What You Have Sown

If you don’t like the results you are getting YOU have to change what you are doing to get better results. You have to create and attract better results. You think the law of attraction isn’t working because life sucks but the truth is the Law works perfectly well.

You just suck at creating what you want. You keep creating what you don’t want. I KNOW I have done it too! I was incredible at creating what I didn’t want. It took me a long time to realize that, stop it and start creating what I did and do want. We are human.

It is okay. That is why the Law Of Attraction doesn’t work the way you think it should BECAUSE it isn’t a magic bullet or pill. It isn’t wishing and hoping for something better while concentrating on crap. It is based on returning to you what you predominantly focus on.

If It Is To Be It Is Up To Me – No One Else

It requires training and focus. YOU MUST train your brain to stay focused on what you want. You must condition your mind to give you what you want. It will deliver reliably when you train and condition it. That is the LAW!

Right now it is working whether you believe it or not and it delivering whatever you are mostly giving it. I repeat: It is already delivering reliably. Consider this: It is like you body in some ways. What you feed it determines what you get back.

If you give it excellent nutrition, rest and exercise you can have great health. If you give it junk food, no rest and no exercise you can have crappy health. Get it? Okay. More next post. For now, realize you have something you must do to make life better.

When You Declare It – You Command It – You Create It

You must change your focus and keep it on what you want. You must be positive and feel good most of the time. Once you condition yourself to be this way it is much easier because the habits of your conditioning take over. First, however, you must do the work.

That is where and why most people give up. They are not prepared to persist and keep going until they make it happen. They dabble, they dip their toe in the water. They ‘try’ and when the going gets tough they blame the Law Of Attraction.

If you commit and get tough when the going is rough you will win. You will succeed. You will reap great reward. You will do what few else do you will prevail! Stick with it and you will be amazed and delighted!” Rex Sikes

Start Using This Little Known Secret To Make Your Life Everything You Want

“Hello. How are you today? I hope well. Did you happen to read my post yesterday? If not I would like you to go read it. If you have please read it again. The reason for this is that it speaks volumes to most of the issues people have. People have difficulty managing their self-talk and their talk with others.

Everything one says after ‘I am’, or ‘I have’ is a declaration. You are declaring how things are or how they will be. For example, how much energy do you feel when you say, ‘I am exhausted.’? Probably, not much, right? You aren’t going to feel raring to get up and go as you make that statement.

Whatever Follows I Am And I Have Is What You Get

While it may be a point of fact. You feel tired. Emphasizing it, doesn’t make you feel any better. Declaring it doesn’t make it go away. You may think you are simply announcing it but you are confirming it. Yes, that may have its use but it does much more. It keeps you where you are. You affirmed you are exhausted.

It engages your mental pictures and your imagination. It engages your feelings and reinforces them. Everything works together to keep you exhausted. You paint a picture of you being tired. Do you think your subconscious mind means only for this instant? What if it took it to mean in general, or all the time? Hmmmm.

Do you think I am being overly cautious? Perhaps, but why not just say, ‘I am going to get some wonderful rest and wake up refreshed.’ Why not say what we prefer or what we want or intend to happen. Create what we want instead of what we don’t want. Why not? I think learning how to think and speak what we want is important.

What You Say Is What You Get

I have quoted in these pages, ‘Speak only to bless, heal and prosper’. I don’t know who the author of the original quote is or if there is one. I use this statement a lot as a reminder. State only what you intend. Conceive of only what you intend to make or have happen in the present and future.

What if, instead of, ‘I am exhausted’ you stated, ‘I am broke.’? What if you thought in pictures, sounds and feelings, ‘I am never going to be able to make ends meet.’? What if these mental movies accompanied by feelings were literal commands to your subconscious mind? IS this what you want to command it to do?

Napoleon Hill stated, ‘Whatever you can conceive and believe you can achieve.’ This is true and it is a good thing and typically meant to demonstrate the positive power of human thought to create results. What if it is also true about the negative?  Whatever you conceive you can achieve.

What You See Is What You Get

I’d want to be a lot more careful what I think, wouldn’t you? I’d ONLY want to conceive of that which does bless, heal and prosper my self and others. Wouldn’t you?It is,of course, absolutely true about both the positive and the negative! So let’s pretend something. Let’s pretend I am being cautious because I may be.

Wouldn’t you prefer to err on the side of caution and only state what you intend to create for yourself? Wouldn’t you prefer to aim your mind, you beliefs, your words, feelings and actions at what you want to make happen for yourself instead of what you don’t want. Even, just in case? It’s better to be safe than sorry, right?

The point is you can’t think two thoughts at the same time. You cannot think a negative thought and a positive thought simultaneously. You will think one and then perhaps the other. Perhaps, not the other right away since birds of a feather flock together. It is more likely you think one way for a time being.

What You Feel Is What You Get

Wouldn’t you prefer to think and feel the best you could? Why even take a chance at feeling crappy? Think, picture, visualize what you want and intend! Speak and only speak what you want and intend! Feel only what you want to feel and intend! Then what you conceive of has the good chance of coming to be even quicker.

If you think negative and then positive and then negative and then… that is a formula for staying stuck. If you think, ‘I am sick of this’ it is a great way of affirming more of what you don’t want. You are commanding your subconscious mind to give you more of WHAT?

Do you think you are commanding better health? What did you just think, declare, assert and affirm? Seriously, what if what you think and say has a greater affect or effect on you than you could ever imagine? What then?  What if there are literal consequences to how and what we think?

Repetition Is The Mother Of Habit

AND especially how and what we think repeatedly and for how long and how often? Do you think it is even useful to think or speak like that? The bottom line is to stop speaking and talking about things you don’t want in life. Stop reinforcing grievances and issues. Stop carrying around the crappy things that happen during the day.

Stop sharing them with others. LET THEM GO! Drop them for good. Shit happened so what? Move on! Get over it and get on with creating what you want instead. Don’t declare, don’t assert, don’t re-live repeatedly anything you do not want to have more of. ONLY declare, assert and re-live repeatedly that which you DO want more of.

You are a powerful creator! You may not even realize it fully, yet. BUT YOU ARE! YOU ARE A POWERFUL CREATOR! When you fully realize that everything you have or don’t have, is and has always been up to you, is when you will come into your power, your true power. Your full power!

Taking Responsibility Is You True Power

In that instant, when you take total acceptance of responsibility you will discover an entire new world open up to you. You will then decide to only conceive and believe and achieve what you intend to have in your life. You will begin to create an entire new positive and wonderful life.

You will stop engaging in activities that waste your time and zap your energy. You will stop creating more crap and start creating and accepting and having more positive wonderful moments. Life IS wonderful! We are so much more powerful than we have ever been taught to realize.

We put all the power outside of ourselves. We put it onto others and circumstances and think, ‘it’s not my fault’. It would be far more practical and beneficial to accept responsibility for it AND change it than to lay blame and accept it as a victim. Things will change when you do.

To Know And Not To Do Is Not To Know

Why do I say this is a little known secret? Because to know it and not do it is to not know it. If you know it and don’t implement it you never fully understood it. If you haven’t used it you can’t know its power! You only know about it. You can read of a far off country and know about it but never having visited there means you don’t actually know that country. To know and not to do is to not know.

If we want to ensure things remain the same then we remain the same. If you want to ensure life is more wonderful than you can even presently imagine then claim your power. Begin living from your power. Stop creating the crap and start creating the gold. Stop talking crap  and start talking blessings. You can do it. We all can. Life is grand when we make it that way. Stop Describing Your Life As If You Are Talking To Tech Support

“Yes, we will continue with how and why it is important to have and maintain good vibrations. This is a bit of a segue but in the same vein. It is important to staying happy, creating your dreams and attracting the future you desire to think positive and feel the best you are able to most of the time. The key to change IS in good feelings.

You want to feel good most of the time. You want the ratio of less than glorious to glorious to be predominantly on the side of glorious. This is the key to manifesting what you want more of. You want more good feelings so you start and maintain feeling good. Then you will get more of the same. Do you get it?

What You Think About You Bring About

So today, I had a tech issue on the computer and on my smart phone. I called tech support. Of course, they want to know what is wrong so that they can help correct it. I describe the problem I am having with book marks on one of my browsers. They state, yes, this is a common problem. It get’s fixed.

I state there is the problem I am having with my phone. They work to resolve it. As they do, what they do, fixes the problem I described but leaves me with another problem I discover moments after we hang up the phone. I go back through the web site, ask them to call me and they do and we begin again.

If You Always Do What You Always Did …

I describe the original problem that brought me there and that it was remedied only to discover another issue once we hang up. They work to resolve this and do but again create another issue which is larger than the previous one. I only discover this problem once we hang up.  I go back through the web site and the cycle begins again.

This went on, pretty much like this, all day long.

Each time I had to go back to the website get them to call me. Then I had to go through each of the issues and their remedies and the new problems created each time. This was repeated time and time again. During this time I had to go about business.

I left one meeting to go sit in the stair well to speak with them. At this point I was able to request call backs at certain times or whenever they finished helping someone else they would call me. So in my car en route to my computer. Later, they  called at the conclusion of another meeting I had.

…You’ll Always Get What What You Always Got

Then during a drive through while getting my son something to eat, Then back at home. The final call lasted 3 hours until my land line air phone died and the tech support person finished his 11.5 hour shift. AND get this!  The problem I dread most still looms for tomorrow . They scheduled an early AM technical support call.

So it is near the close of the day when it occurs to me that this is a great analogy for how many of us spend our days anyway. We describe the issues that bother us over and over again. Someone cuts us off on the free way while on the way to work. We get angry. Flip the other person off. Use a few choice expletives and drive on muttering about that SOB.

We mention it to the coffee barista. Once at work we complain to co-workers about the jerk on the road. During lunch we bring it up again. This continues on until we arrive home. We are asked about our day and we begin with the asshole on the highway. Only by now we have added a litany of other complaints that occurred during the day. We stock pile bad events. We pick them up like lint rollers.

If You Want Your Life To Change…

When we focus on our problems, even to solve them, we tend to get more problems. I am not suggesting we don’t fix wrongs but that we learn how to shift our attitude away from it being a problem and into how wonderful it is finding a solution. Our days are meant to be spent joyously not spent reciting lists of what went wrong.

Yet, sadly, that is what too many of us do. Why? My guess is we get caught up in it. That is one potential reason. We get snagged by it, hooked. I think we also do it because we are used to doing it. Our parents did it and we grew up doing it. It is mostly all we know. I think another reason is there is a reward in complaining.

Secretly, somehow we like the drama and the attention we get. We want to be the sad little puppy who has had it soooooo hard. Really, I do. Who doesn’t feel better feeling bad sometimes? Admit it, you like it. You do! The bottom line is it doesn’t matter much why we are the way we are. We won’t change even a little unless we do change.

…You Have To Change Things In Your LIfe

That is what we must remember. As long as we perpetuate the old way, the painful way. the negative way, the comfortable, old, wonderfully painful way that gets us attention and ‘bandaids on our boo boos’ we will remain stuck wallowing in endless lists of daytime wrongs.

Our life will remain essentially as it is. We will continue to complain about the bills, that no one listens, that we’re living in a loveless relationship, our job sucks but nobody cares, and how we wish it were better but it never really gets any better. Do you get it? If you want your life to change you must change things in your life.

You cannot go around listing problems as if you are speaking with technical support and expect your life to improve. For your life to improve you pretty much need to ignore the less than glorious circumstances and place your energy and your focus on what you can appreciate and feel gratitude for.

You Become What You Think About Most

You need to maintain your vision on your positive dreams and goals, the ones that haven’t really happened yet, and imagine them as if they are completed. You need to feel all the marvelous feelings most of your day, that you would feel if your life was perfect and all your dreams had already come true.

In order to experience the magic you have to place your attention and keep your attention on the invisible, that which hasn’t actually happened yet. AND you have to act and think as if it already has. The point of this is : if you want the good life you have to stay focused on the good life and not contaminate it with all that goes wrong in the meantime.

Fill your heart and mind with gratitude and joy. Feel thrilled that life is incredible. Live with enthusiasm, passion and joy. Be alive, totally alive. Have fun. Smile, laugh, sing, dance, love and celebrate. When you do you vibrate in that special creative way that helps you make everything you want come to be.

Speak Only To Bless, Heal And Prosper

You are a light unto the world and you radiate and attract the right people, events and circumstances into your life. Your brain works on finding opportunity and advantages, resources in the real world. You operate from such a place of optimism and power the game literally changes. You operate from being in charge and being in control

You are the captain of your fate and the master of your soul. You live as a champion instead of a whiner. You live as a victor and not as a victim. Start describing the things that go right in your life. Start talking about the things you want to say ‘YES” to.

Emphasize these! Repeat these again and again and feel blessed. Your mantra, your self talk should be positive. Speak to yourself and others only to bless, heal and prosper. Accentuate the positive and you will get more positive back. Thoughts are things. What we think about we bring about. What you focus on expands.

Radiate And Let Your Light Shine

Remember this! Keep it in mind. We become what we think about. Birds of a feather flock together. It is the flowers that attract the bees. Bears are attracted to the honey. Let your goodness flow like a river and all good things will flow to you. Stay positive! Be a light for others! Your life will wonderfully transform as you do!” Rex Sikes

The Secret To Maintaining ‘Good Vibrations’ And Creating What You Want!

“Alright, so the car breaks down and the rent or mortgage is due or overdue. The dryer went out and needs to be fixed as well. Plus, your child just got injured at school.  You work over 40 hours a week and seem to struggle all the time. Things are going from bad to worse.

You think, ‘Why me? How come nothing works out right. What do I have to do to fix this? How can I make more money fast? Now the car and the dryer. I’ll never be able to make ends meet. Everything is always going wrong.’ And you are correct.

You are suffering from a ’60’s case of Haight-Ashbury Bad Vibes. Your focus is on everything that is wrong and going wrong around you. If you keep digging a hole all you get is more dirt. And you are in a hole. You are stuck and will stay stuck unless you switch your thinking.

We Learned How To Be Stuck There Is No Shame In It

Many people are stuck. No one is to blame. That is how most of us live. Most of us grew up with people around us struggling too. We learned how from others. Circumstances can be tough. The world isn’t fair.We may know better but we do what we do out of habit.

The problem is where you put your attention.  Where you put your attention is where energy flows. If your attention and your energy goes into the current situation, the stuck state, and stays there you will get more of what you don’t want.

What you focus on expands. You become what you think about. Thoughts are things. What you think about you bring about. You actually magnify the problem in your mind. You give it energy and that is not what you should be doing. You should withdraw your energy.

‘How’ Doesn’t Help Get You Unstuck

When you try to fix it and solve it you are concentrating on what is wrong and what you don’t want. Your attempts to make it different ‘some how’ help to perpetuate the unwanted situation. Have you ever noticed that ‘bad luck’ seems to follow with more ‘bad luck’?

Things go awry and get worse. You do everything but nothing seems to work. That is because you create more and attract more of the same by what you are doing.  Like thoughts attract like thoughts. Birds of a feather flock together.

If you try to figure out ‘how’ to fix it; doesn’t fix it. You don’t know how. How is the big lie. You and I think if we only knew ‘how’ to make it different it would be different. But, sadly, that is wrong. We can’t make it better from where we currently are.

To break the cycle you must do something that seems counter-intuitive. You must do something that is not easy. It is simple but it requires effort and commitment. If it were easy everyone would have mastered it. You have to switch your thinking.

You Can Learn To Get Unstuck And Change Your Life

Bit by bit you have to move your thinking from your stuck problem state to your wonderful dreams and desires. You inch your way along, trading up your positive thinking. You do whatever you have to to put your attention on something that feels better.

Focus on your pet or your children. Think about something that makes you feel good when when you think about it. Go jogging, take a walk, a  bath, listen to music, read inspirational material, make love, go out for dinner. Immediately, do whatever you must do but put your attention into and onto thinking and feeling better.

Work your way up the ladder of positivity until you feel the most positive. Keep trading up your feelings until you feel the very best. Keep going until you are able to think about your goals and dreams and you feel really marvelous.

This can be difficult for a number of reasons. We will explore more in upcoming blog posts. One reason is because you are caught up emotionally in the bad circumstances. Your emotions are the key to getting free and living the life you want to be living.

Habits Rule Us – If You Want Success You Need Success Habits

To break the ‘bad luck’ cycle you need to take charge of your thinking, and get it under control. You need to take charge of your feelings and emotions. If you want your life to change you must change things in your life. You must change where you put your energy.

You want GOOD VIBES most of the time not the 60’s BAD VIBES. You want to think and feel best most of the time. When you are thinking positive, optimistic thoughts, and feeling good you are ‘vibrating’ good, high energy vibes. You stop vibrating the low, bad, negative energy vibes that are causing your difficulties.

Okay, I am using some metaphysical, hipster language that may turn a few people off but I think get my point. You create more of the same by whatever you think, feel and focus on most. Your current circumstances are a result of your prior thinking. You created it.

To have a new life you must create it first in your thoughts. You bring it about by your feelings. The future life is a result of the thoughts you presently think AND if you think about your dire circumstances your future will remain the same.

You Can Live The Life Of Your Dreams – In Fact You Should

To have a different better future you have to stop thinking about the circumstances, ignore them and think and feel better thoughts. You need to immediately turn your attention away from the negative thoughts and feelings and towards positive thoughts and feelings.

The value in this is that you create the new habit of moving away from the negative, the less than glorious, to the glorious. You condition your mind and feelings. The result is you spend more time thinking and feeling good. Feeling good is the fertile soil where your dreams grow and become reality. (More about this coming up).

When you do this repeatedly over the course of weeks you will build a habit for switching from the less than glorious and the less than productive to the glorious and the productive. You will gain control of your thoughts and emotions and begin transforming your life and circumstance for the better. Easy, no. Possible ABSOLUTELY!” Rex Sikes
