Why You Don’t Make The Changes You Want To

“What keeps most people the same? Why don’t they change? Even when they want to they don’t. What about you? Have you wanted to make changes but didn’t because you found it difficult? Why is that?

Welcome to Part 3 of The Secret To Success And Happiness Few Know And Won’t Tell You. We continue on today. I hope you found the 1st and 2nd parts valuable. Ready, let’s go. Part 4 tomorrow.

The answers may surprise you. At the same time you may think, ‘but of course, that makes perfect sense.’ So, why don’t people change? What is it that keeps them the same even when they want to?

Life Begins At The End Of Your Comfort Zone

Comfort. People like comfort. If nothing is pressing them they will remain as is. They want to be comfortable. Isn’t that true? Don’t you prefer it? I do. I like it when things are comfortable and easy.

That is one reason. The second reason is discomfort. People hate being uncomfortable and will do anything to remain in comfort. Change means discomfort. So they avoid changing.

When the discomfort becomes intolerable THEN people will decide to change because they want to comfortable again. Comfort like inertia takes a lot of effort to get people to move, out of it.

Comfort Zones Are Expanded Through Discomfort

Discomfort is what they want to avoid so they remain the same instead of leaving their comfort zone. They will continue until it becomes too uncomfortable to remain the same. Notice the cycle.

Change means you will be uncomfortable. This is normal. All growth means to stretch, to expand, to move beyond. We even say there is such a thing as growing pains. Discomfort is part of life.

All growth is growth outside your comfort zone. If you attempt new behaviors, change beliefs, create a new schedule or take a different route to work you leave the comfort behind.

The Secret:  Be Comfortable Being Uncomfortable

It seems foreign and unfamiliar. You long for the old ways when you feel pain or discomfort. It was easier the old way. Simpler and more comfortable. The new way is too hard.  What do you do? You quit.

The old way wasn’t easier you wanted to change. You  just didn’t prepare for the changes you’d be making. You didn’t get your head on right. So you stopped and went back to  your comfort zone.

Yup, that is what we tend to do. We quit. We give in, resist change and remain the same because we hate being uncomfortable for any amount of time.  We really do. In order to change we have to face it.

You Can Never Be Happy If You’re Afraid To Be Uncomfortable

The way to move forward is to realize it won’t always be cushy. It is not going to be comfortable, especially at first, as you learn new things. Eventually, yes, you will get comfortable with the new ways.

BUT not at first. You might as well know this and accept it so you can work with it. If you want your life to change you will have to change some things in your life. You’ll have to change what you think and do.

You need to do some things you won’t like doing. If you know going into it there are some challenges, at least you won’t be surprised. You can determine to see it through no matter what. Stick with it!

The Magic Happens Outside Your Comfort Zone

Accept it. Understand that in order to grow you will have to leave your comfort zone. It may not be easy, you may want to stop or to flee but you have to push through it. That is just how it is.

Don’t be afraid of it, accept it. Most of life is about making the unfamiliar familiar. We grow accustomed, establish habit and routine. We get comfortable over time with new things.

Then we convince ourselves that the new way should always remain the same. It doesn’t and won’t. There will always be obstacles and challenges. It is called LIFE. The apple cart gets tipped over.

Your Only Limitations Are The Ones You Think You Have

If we want to develop new thought and behavioral habits we will be uncomfortable from time to time. Not all the time but sometimes. That is how it will be. Can you accept that? It is easier if you can.

When you purchase a new pair of shoes they are uncomfortable at first. Perhaps, too tight or they rub. They are brand new but they don’t fit right, yet. They will but you have to break them in.

You wear them a little bit at a time so they break in without hurting your feet. You wear them. They stretch. You get more used to them. Eventually,the new ones become more comfortable for you.

Live As If You Were Going To Die Tomorrow…

That is how it works. When you exercise your muscles get sore. They burn. They downright hurt. You may not like it but if you keep going you develop a tolerance for it.

You accept it as part of developing muscles even if you don’t like it. Muscles grow by breaking the tissue down and then nourishing the tissue and replenishing it. It grows by break down and build up.

I had a friend who enjoyed the hurt because he knew his muscles were growing larger. His exercise was paying off. He took the pain as a signal he was making progress. It is all your frame of mind.

… Learn As If You Were Going To Live Forever

When you plant a seed, the seed germinates and breaks through it’s outer shell. Without tremendous effort the seed would not grow into the plant it is destined to become.

When you are uncomfortable you are at the boundary edges of your being. Your beliefs, and values are challenged. It is not at all comfortable.

T. Harv Eker has said, ‘Comfort is the kiss of death to success. If you are comfortable you will never be successful. BUT if you are successful there is a good chance you will be comfortable.’

Everything You Have Ever Wanted Is Outside Your Comfort Zone

Do you get it? It begins with your mindset. If you want to change know that you will be uncomfortable from time to time, or for a while. Develop your mindset and you can make do it.

Make the important changes you want to and then follow through. Don’t allow yourself to talk yourself out of it because it feels to hard. Control your thoughts, what you say to yourself and out loud.

Stick with it even when it is uncomfortable and you will be pushing through the tough times. They will give way. You don’t need to always be coddled and comfortable. Persist and push through.

Change Is From The Inside Out

Women push through the pain of childbirth and many want to do it again.  Some right away. You can do nearly anything if you give yourself credit that you can.

95% of the people will never do this. They will give up, give in, find some excuse or reason to quit. When the going gets tough most people cave. Only the toughest get going and keep going to the end.

Believe in yourself and be willing to change. Then continue on the path until you arrive. Commit. Be grateful you have the opportunity. Even while it is difficult be grateful. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

How Your Struggles Can Help You Succeed

“Times might be tough. Perhaps, you feel like you aren’t making the progress you had hoped. Maybe, you just want to throw in the towel. Have you ever felt this way? Many do. They let their struggles stop them. When hardship continues they want to bail. Do you?

It is normal because that is what most of us learned to do growing up. It’s our habitual, chronic thinking. We lose sight of what we want when it is hard. We had hoped it would be easier. We can’t see the forest through the trees because we become fixated on problems.

We forget that it always works out for the best in the end. We don’t realize that if it hasn’t worked out yet, then it isn’t the end. We aren’t at the finish line just because we have problems. We may think we are but we have no idea where the actual end is.

We humans are silly creatures.

We decide we want something and then we try to figure out how to make it happen. You can’t know the how until after you succeed at what you want to do. You can experiment and try many different things but you don’t know the path until after you walk it.

Our Thoughts Determine Our Outcomes

As Edison did, the Wright Brothers did and many others.  All brilliant minds and inventors attempt many different things. Still, they can only determine what worked after it worked. Do you get this? It is an important principle. You never know how first. So relax.

You what something and don’t know how to make it happen. You learn what worked once you succeed. When you decide on a goal to pursue, that something you really want, you have to trust you will get it, even though you don’t know how it will happen.

You not only trust, but you believe you will get it. You know you will get it. Why? Because you determine to get it! You decide you won’t quit until you do. That is how you make things happen. You don’t wait for it you take action and get it done. YOU, YOU, YOU!

We Learn By Trail And Error

Even if you don’t know what to do you can take tiny steps in the direction of what you want. You don’t have to know how in order to act. You can do anything at all that moves you forward. You can study, research, connect with others and examine the possibilities.

You can go as far as you can see and when you get there you can see further. You learn as you go. Things work and  they don’t work. You learn by trial and error. There may be detours and obstacles along the route but you persist until you arrive at your destination.

After you get there you can describe how you did it for others. This is a concept that is very useful to understand and embrace. You will figure out the how but you don’t have to know the how how to begin. So begin. Don’t wait. Take positive constructive actions.

Mistakes Are Valuable – Learn From Mistakes

Concentrate on what you want and all the positive reasons why you want it and the how will take care of itself. Be clear and be motivated. Stay the course, act and continue to follow through. Never give up and you will eventually reach your goal.

The next major principle to understand is: Everything always works out for the best in the end. It actually does. Many people look back on trying circumstances, even the worst of their life, and at some point note, it ultimately was a positive defining moment.

The very worst becomes the thing most needed once they can look back and examine the events in their life and connect the dots. You can’t connect the dots until you look back. Hindsight is 20/20. That means you could have had  faith going through it in the first place.

Perception Is Everything

Yes, it is a big ordeal but ultimately it will all work out. Some day you will look back and laugh or appreciate every hardship you went through. So why wait. Begin now to appreciate everything. You are learning and growing through trials. The kite rises against the wind.

It always works out for the best in the end. If you are still struggling then realize you aren’t at the end, yet. This is useful concept to get and embrace. It isn’t over yet. Everything will work out. Trust it! Everything WILL work out. Have faith. It will be good in the end.

What is better to believe? It is terrible and all is lost or you always somehow manage to land on your feet? Choose the beliefs that support you because their are only two kinds. Those that support and those that don’t. Neither may be true, so pick what helps you.

You Go Where Your Thoughts Take You

Silly humans always want guarantees first. How would you ever get one? Who can guarantee anything for you? Will it be hard or easy? Who knows until you attempt it? You can’t know first. You can only do whatever it takes to see it through to a successful conclusion.

How do you know when something is over? Life is a process. That is why you can only look back and connect the dots and you can’t do it looking ahead. You can plan and try and yet most people learn that the plan they start with is never the one they finish with. Get it?

Things change. Keep going. If you are struggling it isn’t over yet. You are in the process of bringing about positive change for yourself. You are in the midst of fighting the good fight. You will prevail if you keep going. Keep your eye on the prize and continue with faith.

Skill Comes Of Doing

There are plenty of people who quit before they would have succeeded because they didn’t realize where they were in the process. They throw in the towel. Napoleon Hill pointed out all defeat is temporary with seeds of learning and opportunity.

The only failure is when you stop trying. He recounted the story about the man who stopped digging three feet from a very rich gold vein. In a nutshell, man buys gold mine, digs, hits gold, vein runs dry. He keeps digging and digging nothing. He stops and sells mine.

The individual who bought it consults with experts and strikes a major vein only three feet form where the first owner stopped. Three feet further! That was the difference between rich and poor. The original owner quit thinking it was over. He lost everything.

Learn New Positive Habits That Support You

Because he quit IT was over. For the new owner it was just the beginning of new riches. That could have been the end of the story except the first owner learned from his defeat. He could have done something stupid. Instead he learned from his defeat.

He could have thrown in the towel to never win at anything or try anything again. Instead, he learned a valuable lesson and determined to make it gain, by selling insurance. He vowed never to accept ‘no’ as an answer. He made millions in the insurance business.

He persevered and never gave up. He learned from his first major loss in the gold business. He built an empire because he learned to stay committed. He stated loosing the gold was the best thing that ever happened to him. That is the winner’s attitude!

The More We Do The More We Are Able To Do

You may be tempted to quit because times are tough. If you realize when times are tough that it isn’t over yet, you can keep going if you want to. You can know inside it will all work out in the end. It always does in some way. Have faith, look for the good and the silver linings.

Look for the good and you will find it. Look for problems you will find those too. Condition your mind. Your willingness to abandon your hope and dreams is your old conditioning, your old thought habits. Develop new habits of thought and action that serve you.

Nothing is gospel. Nothing is true. Nothing is written in stone. It is either useful or not. It is either supportive or not. It is either about increase or decrease. It is either positive or negative. YOU are the deciding factor for what YOU determine it to be.

What You Say Is What You Get

Expect things to work out. If you are struggling right now it isn’t over yet. Keep at it. Commit to seeing it through. Obstacles will give way if you trust, believe yourself and take action. If you give up that will who knows what might be? You will look back to know someday.

Persist and you will land on your feet eventually. Regardless. If you throw in the towel you can learn from it you too. You  might do well like the gentleman in Three Feet From Gold. Realize it is YOU who determines your present and you the future.

It is all in your hands. Since you can’t know the outcome in advance you might as well enjoy the the journey. Keep your eye on the prize. Take action and move forward. Keep the faith. Stay positive. Do no harm to self or others.

If You Think You Can Or Think You Can’t You Are Right

Make it a point to enjoy it no matter how difficult. Condition yourself for success. Learn along the way. Look for the good and celebrate everything! Appreciate your trials and your easy times. That is how you prepare yourself to win! Celebrate EVERYTHING!” Rex Sikes

What To Do When Challenges And Obstacles Arise

“As you pursue you dreams and goals obstacles may arise. Things, people generally perceive as ‘bad’ or unwanted, may come up. Your path could be fraught with difficulty. If so celebrate and continue on.

Of course, you exclaim, ‘celebrate, Rex are you out of your mind?’ The answer is, ‘of course, yes!’ Let me explain to you what I mean. Trust. It is all about trust.

It can be trust in an outer god if you like, but I prefer to put that trust in myself.  So when I mention trust, I refer to trust in you. Still it can be can be trust god or in the universe. Whatever works for you.

Learn To Trust Yourself

Many people don’t trust themselves, heck they don’t even know themselves.  They aren’t yet aware of their resourcefulness, talents and abilities because most of their lives they focus on limitations and negative outer circumstances.

They blamed themselves, others and events. The time has come to stop that. The time has come to take responsibility for everything, whether or not you actually are.

ACT AS IF you are responsible for whatever happens. When you embrace this attitude it gives you great power and control. TRUST! When you are in charge you are responsible. Be in charge. Claim your power by accepting responsibility and end making excuses.

There are opposites, hot, cold, up, down, good, bad. There is day and night, winter and summer. The tide comes in and the tide goes out. There is happiness and sorrow. We need to accept these and work with these instead of resisting them.

You Actually Already Have All The Resources You Need

When you encounter difficulties along the way, a useful mind set to adopt is that it is a test of your strengths and abilities. You protest, ‘but that isn’t real!’ In all probability it isn’t, but it is a useful mindset to adopt.

From neuroscience we know that everything is a matter of our perspective. We don’t actually know what is real or even interact with it. We act on limited information. We are constrained by our own neurological filters BUT we believe things to be as we perceive.

In other words we believe whatever our version of reality it is. But we don’t ever have the whole, complete picture. We have a fraction. So our version is never THE correct version. It is simply A version. It is not necessarily even accurate and definitely not true. It just is.

Consider this, I have discussed it before. Many horrible events that people think they will never make it through, some time later are looked back on and viewed as the most important, significant, life changing event in their life. They see it completely differently years later.

With other events, we are able to look back and laugh. This tells us it isn’t so much the event that is important, although we think it is. It is our reaction to it, our perception of it and the meaning we place on the event. We decide whether the event is good or bad.

So what is the ‘truth’ about the same event viewed differently? There isn’t any set truth. There is only the truth we give it. From our perspective, in one moment in time, it is bad. From a different perspective in another different moment in time it is good.

You Have All The Resources You Just Don’t Know It Yet

So what is it really? The actual event is neither.  The only meaning the event has is what we give it. We judge, we label it. We call it as we believe it to be. Then after a while, we think about it differently. It takes on new significance and new meaning. It is all in your mind.

So consider adopting the mindset that you are being tested. Whether you are testing yourself, or god or the universe is, or it is a random pop quiz, you are being tested. This can help you get through it. The test is to find your strengths and abilities. Cool.

There is another useful and wonderful mindset to adopt.

You are being challenged and it is a game. The stakes of the game go up. Your obstacles are worthy opponents. You want good opponents. A game really isn’t much fun unless there is a challenge to it.

Most great gamers seek the best, most talented, difficult opponents to play with, they don’t want it easy. They want significant challenge THAT is worthwhile and meaningful. Play the game with gusto.

Believing Is Seeing – That Is How It Really Works

TRUST as you move forward on your desires, take action, follow you plans, that as long as you continue, no matter what comes your way, no matter what obstacles and challenges arise that they will eventually go away. Nothing lasts forever. It will again be easier.

The tumultuous path will settle and smooth out. Night will again give way to day. TRUST that these obstacles were important for you to experience. They provide lessons you can discover when you look.

You can learn from  these if you remain open and available to their messages. Welcome the obstacles and challenges and troubles for what you can learn about yourself, others and life.

The Kite Rises Against The Wind

They are their for you to become aware of and discover wonderful things about yourself and your transformation. Your challenges are actually blessings, opportunities, lessons.

Is any of this true. Yes and no. It is whatever you believe it to be. I can’t definitely say there is anyone pulling strings, that isn’t my purpose here. I think all is good. All is divine.

We struggle with moments large and small, but it is all part of one thing. LIFE! It is only the human who judges whether something is good or bad, valuable or not. You can learn to  reframe problems.

Inside Every Adversity Is The Seed Of Equivalent Opportunity

Prior to human consciousness on the planet things just were. Huge tectonic upheavals, earthquakes, volcanos, ice storms and ice ages, violent weather and sunny wonderful days. There was no one to complain or to admire the beauty.

Enter the human. Now there are good days and bad days. There are better days of the week and less desirable days. Humans judge. That is part of our suffering. We make judgements that cause us pain.

TRUST you will get through it. It is easy when you are in a state of let go, acceptance and celebration. Embrace it and if you don’t move through it faster at least it won’t be as miserable.

Learn From Obstacles And Challenges

Resist it and it persists. Fighting it only makes it worse. Stop fighting. If you want to make you dreams come true accept whatever you find on the pathway, learn from it and keep going.

If there is a divine being testing you then that being surely must think you are worth it. You need to decide you are worth it and that within you you have every ability to meet every challenge.

THIS is why learning to control your thinking and thinking predominantly positive IS SO POWERFUL and important! When you take charge of your thoughts you take charge of the results.

When you understand everything has opposites and that IS okay you will have learned a great lesson. When you develop the attitude of a winner, a champion, a victor, and continue undaunted towards what is important to you you will have benefit  greatly!

What You Resist Persists

Evolve yourself into one who is not stopped by limitations but who is able to go on in spite of them. Discover delight in ways you can’t presently imagine. There are more possibilities than you might imagine. Don’t miss out on them because of limited vision.

People who climb everest don’t do it because it is easy. Everything you encounter on your journey IS part of your adventure. Receive it, learn from it, evolve with it, celebrate it and keep moving. If you consider it to all be good it will be. You’ll discover the hidden good.

When you celebrate where you are and what you have you open yourself up for having more of the the same. If you appreciate what you have inside you, and outside in your life you can have more because you create the room for more by your gratitude.

Energy Flows Where Your Attention Goes

What you resist persists. If you always do what you always did you will always get what you always got. If you do the same thing over and over again expecting different results you are a little crazy.

So if you want your life to change you must change some things in your life. You can change and control your thinking, your attitudes, beliefs and opinions. You can control your feelings and feel better more of the time. Wouldn’t you want that for yourself?

When you think better and feel better you behave and act better and are more able and apt to make your dreams come true. With the correct attitude you can be, do and have anything you want in life. YOU can make it happen.  Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

If You Don’t Start Moving You Will Always Be Right There Where You Are!

“Some people never begin. The wish and want and hope for change but they do nothing at all to bring it about. Is this you? You can make positive changes easily. Would you like to learn how? If you do these simple things you can get a tremendous amount of transformation.

Obviously, in order to begin you must choose to begin. it Starts with your decision, your commitment to make your life more wonderful and grand. If you truly want this then beginning is easier. You just start doing some things you haven’t been doing.

If you want your life to change you must change things in your life. You can’t continue along the same old pathway expecting to get somewhere new. You have to start the new path. So you begin right from where you are. Right now, right here, is where it starts.

Want Your Life To Change? Change Things In Your Life

‘As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives.’ Henry David Thoreau

The reason we want to gain control of our thinking is so those negative thoughts that prevent us no longer take hold. Begin small, find a positive thought, one you agree with and want more of, and make it a mantra. Someone posted, they use, ‘this is easy’.

I like, ‘I can learn to do anything’. or ‘I am far more powerful than I presently realize’. And repeat those day and night whenever you can. Repetition is how the brain learns. Repetition with powerful emotions. So enjoy chanting this out loud.

Drop By Drop The Tub Fills

Shout them, feel great when you say them. DO one every morning and night and inbetween for at least thirty day. Find some supportive inspiring reading material or listening material and partake daily. Drop by drop the tub gets filled.

You can be surprised but how incredible a difference even a little bit of positive control makes. It is all about learning to create new positive habits to replace the old ones we no longer want. Does it take some effort.

Yup, and it is worth it. Affirm, declare, chant your mantra with wild enthusiasm. Make yourself feel good. Jump up and down, skip, sing, yell out loud. Learn that you control how you feel too. Relax, repeat them first thing in morning and last thing at night.

Nothing Great Was Ever Achieved Without Enthusiasm

Create a gratitude journal and list between 10 and 25 things you are grateful for right now, each day. Add a success journal and list those things you do each day that you consider a success. Those things you accomplish that move you forward and make you feel good.

If you do these things and do them regularly, in time the new pathway will become a well worn reliable path. You will have automatic positive new habits that serve you. You will find more delight and enjoyment in you and your life. So begin today!

Appreciate that you are deciding in your favor. That is a reason to celebrate, feel grateful and count as a success. Chose to be a winner and a victor. Chose to be a ‘CAN Do’ person, commit to it and persist in doing your daily diligence. Above all Celebrate everything! Rex Sikes

The Secret: You Must Push Through Limitations To Success

“There are many things that separate those who are successful from those who are not. That separate those who can do from those who can’t. AND those who do from those who don’t. There is something you can learn to do that will give you the edge and help bring you the successes you want. It isn’t easy at first but it is worth doing!

Today, do something you have been putting off. Do something you don’t want to do that would be good for you. Perhaps, it means cleaning your office or your home. Writing a paper of report that you have been dreading. Going to the gym. Eating right. Whatever it might be make it a point of not putting it off any longer.

It never helps to procrastinate. Typically, it just only adds pressure until we no longer feel we can go without getting it done, so we  give in and do it. If, instead, you take care of it, in  addition to decreasing stress, you do something valuable. You took charge. You dictated the circumstances instead of letting circumstances dictate you.

What We Want To Do With Ease We Must First Do With Diligence

This point should not be lost on you! When you dictate the circumstances you come from a place of your own power and authority. You put yourself in the driver’s seat. This is what successful entrepreneurs do. They are in charge and they make things happen. Isn’t that preferable to things controlling you?

When you do something you don’t want to do, when you push past your own limits and excuses and reasons for not getting it done you become a leader of yourself. You do it anyway. You are larger than the task. When you behave this way routinely, with this mindset you develop habits that help make you unstoppable and successful.

It means you make a commitment to yourself and follow through. It is important to keep your word to others and yourself. You learn to push through resistance and you learn to persist. Olympic  athletes train when they don’t feel like.  Can you imagine wanting to get up and train really hard, really early, day in and day out?

The More We Do The More We Can Do

Go beyond what stops you. Troops in basic training may not feel like getting up for roll call but they have external pressures to insure they do. Athletes going for the gold need to rely on their own internal means for training when they don’t feel like it. Motivation comes from action not by waiting for it.

Those who are successful do things those who aren’t will never do. They don’t fear work. The go the extra mile when others quit. They don’t let their emotions stop them from getting closer to their goals. They are driven. You can learn how to push through your limitations only by pushing through your limitations.

The more you do the more you can do. It gets easier once you start. Perhaps, you are one of those people who have to learn that starting is 80% of getting it completed. In the past, you looked at that task and talked or felt your way out of not doing it. Learn how to talk and feel your way into doing it. That would be immensely beneficial!

Develop Habits That Breed Success

You and I need to use our our own internal motivation and rewards to act. We need to learn to do it in spite of our best reasons for not. We need to learn to not listen to our excuses and start listening to all the reasons we should complete our tasks. Then we will have learned to keep going in spite of the odds and challenges.

We will keep going when we otherwise might have felt like throwing in the towel. We will have learned how to dedicate ourselves, commit to our goals and tasks and persist, until we achieve what we want to achieve. When you complete the task notice how you feel. I bet you feel pretty good and maybe even proud of yourself.

That makes it worth it too. You want to spend more time feeling good. When it comes to positive thinking there may be times you don’t feel like it but you persist anyway because you know it is best for you. As you develop the habits to take care of things ‘anyway’, in spite of inner resistance you are truly becoming a victor.

When you complete the task notice what you feel. Notice how you feel. If you feel good about it that is part of the reward you get for acting in your own behalf. Savor the feeling and appreciate yourself. Notice what you learned about accomplishing your task. You did it. Acknowledge and validate! Then take time to feel glad and celebrate everything.” Rex Sikes

What If You Don’t Believe In Your Own Success

“People ask me, ‘what should I do if I don’t believe in the affirmation I am repeating?’ This actually is a great and an important question. There are a couple ways to think about it.

The point of the affirmation is to come to accept and believe the statement you are making. You are affirming with authority and intense positive feeling that what you say is what you are.

You may not believe it at first. That is normal. In repeating the affirmation you are working to change your thinking from what you don’t want to what you do want. You are learning something new.

What You Say Is What You Get

For example.  You have no money. You have been focused on the lack of money. Now you want to change that. In order to change it you begin to focus on abundance and wealth. You think differently.

So you claim, ‘I am rich’. But you may not believe that. It doesn’t ring true. That is okay.  It does run counter to the experience you have been paying attention to. It is foreign to you current practice.

If you doubt it or feel less than glorious you need to keep at it enough until you do feel wonderful claiming ‘I am rich’. THIS is the point. It will be at odds with your current experience.

You Become What You Think About

You never thought this way before. In order to get comfortable and accept it, and begin to live from it, you must repeat it enough over and over. You must send a clear signal to your brain I WANT THIS!

If you don’t yet feel incredible, intense marvelous feelings when you affirm and visualize there is work to do. Stick with it. Keep doing it. All good things come in time to those who persist.

It IS important to feel good when you visualize and affirm. If you think and affirm ‘I am rich’ and it feels wonderful, great! Keep at it. If it doesn’t feel good keep at it. Soon enough you will.

You Can Be, Do And Have Anything 

Do something to make yourself feel good when you affirm. Shout it. Ramp up the enthusiasm. Get excited. Jump up and down. Sing it. Whatever makes you feel good, utilize!

This might seem tough but by deliberately intend ing to feel good you are training yourself to. Work the muscle just as you would in physical exercise. Push it if you must. Have fun as you can!

Intend to believe the affirmation and intend to feel great while thinking and exclaiming it. Through the power of your will you are learning a massive amount of self control and valuable skills.

If You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

Through repetition and strong emotion you are sending a clear, concise message to your brain this is what I am. This is who I am. This is what I believe. I AM RICH. Ultimately, your brain will get it.

The point is you should want to learn to deliberately control your thoughts and feelings and do whatever it takes to gain that positive and powerful ability. Pay the price whatever it is.

Stop Being A Passenger In Life Become The Driver

It is your brain and your life. It is up to you what you make do with it. If you opt out of controlling your thoughts, as most people do, the alternative is you remain the same. Your thoughts control you.

If you chose to control it, while it may be somewhat difficult at first, ultimately it gets easier with practice and the benefits are incredible. Whether you do or don’t is completely up to you.

It will seem foreign, so what. Get used to it. You will through practice. That is the point of spaced repetition. Anything and everything you have ever learned you have learned this way.

Go Where You Decide To Go Don’t Be Taken For A Ride

I’ll save that discussion for another time. For now supercharge you affirmations with positive feelings. Find out how you can cheerfully and powerfully chant them with full expression. Have fun doing it!

The more omph you add the sooner they take hold. The quicker you make changes. The more you repeat the thoughts you want to believe the more you will believe them. You change your thinking.

Take charge and learn to think what you intend to think. Learn to be in charge instead of having your brain run on automatic old, negative programming. If you want it bad enough you will. It’s up to you.

Don’t Make Your Life About Solving Problems

“Life is just to short, don’t you think? Why spend it locked fighting obstacles and problems? Did you know there is a better way and a better life for you? You can begin to have it right away if you make some simple changes. Would you like that? Read on!

Did you know that what you focus on is what you find? What you focus on is what you get. SO focus on the good in life. Focus on opportunities. Focus on what you can do. Focus on who and what you love. Focus on delight and abundance. What you think about you bring about. What you focus on literally expands.

Your Reticular Activating System (RAS) looks for matches within you and your experience and outside of you in your circumstances based on what you are concentrating on, or holding in your mind. Energy flows where your attention goes. Focus on creating the best life you can have so you can begin to start having that.

Actually It Is Believing Is Seeing And Not The Other Way Around

Focus on love not hate. Focus on happiness not sadness. Focus on health not disease. Focus on wealth not on lack. Focus on peace not on war. Focus on gratitude and celebration and you will get more of the same. Whatever you focus on you will get more back. You become what you think about.

If you focus on problems and obstacles that is what you will find. Don’t ignore them, handle them swiftly. Do whatever needs to be done and then shift your thinking back over to your goal and what you want. Handle them and re-aim your mind. Do not make you life about handling or solving problems.

The trouble for most people is they are always ‘dealing’ with things. One thing after the other. Their focus is on what is going wrong not what is going right. Their focus is on what they don’t have not what they do have. If you want things to go right you must thinking about things going right.

What You Focus On Expands

If you want to be wealthy think about, focus on making, investing and growing your money. Focus on keeping your money. Stop focusing on spending it, the bills and on not having enough. Remember, your RAS looks for matches. It is a faithful servant! Stop looking for what is wrong. Look for opportunities.

The difference between happy, successful, rich people and those who aren’t is most often, simply this. The happy, successful, rich people focus on what they want. Those who are unhappy, not successful and broke focus on what they do not want.

The unsuccessful miss opportunities because their minds aren’t tuned in for them. If you are focused on problems and troubles you are missing many opportunities because the matches your brain finds are more of the same troubles. If you want opportunities you have to be focused on the good things the brain would look for.

Stop Wasting Time With Small And Large Distractions

Henry Ford, the man who said, ‘whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you are right,’ also said. ‘i think about what I can do. I put my attention on what I can do in any situation and what I can’t do falls away.’ He doesn’t wast time with what he can not do! Think and speak only to bless, heal and prosper. Think what you Can Do!

Stop wasting time with petty distractions. Social media, gossips, arguments, bad news, it is filled with plenty of things to let go of. Start filling your mind, heart and being with good things, inspiring messages. Surround yourself with positive, inspiring, motivating people and you will have more of the same.

A negative attitude never makes for a positive life. Life is too short to be caught up in what is wrong. You can make it right. You can change things. You can change your mindset and alter your circumstances. You can be, do and have whatever you want when you start believing you can and that you deserve it.

Live Your Purpose You Deserve To

After all, aren’t you worth all the joy and happiness in life? Aren’t you worth all the love, family and friendship? You been born into an abundant universe. You can have all you want without depriving anyone else of theirs too. Focus on creating what you want to include more of. Exclude the rest. You can do this!

Make it a point to shift your thinking. Begin living the life you deserve. You can! You absolutely can! Don’t put it off, begin today. Start putting your mind on what you want. Use it to bring you more of the good things. It is your faithful servant. Whatever you focus on it will bring you more of. Take the energy away from what you do not want. Enjoy more of life.  Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

The Success Formula Laid Bare!

“Some people struggle. They try everything but get almost nowhere. Or it seems they go backwards. Others seem to work hard and get ahead. Some seem to skyrocket to success. What gives? Why do some make it and others don’t.

Some try many things. Some try the Law Of Attraction. Perhaps, you have. You tried some things but you end up in the same condition, or even worse. Have you had difficulty getting the Law Of Attraction to work?

Some people have incredible success with the Law Of Attraction. Here is why. The answer is quite simple although you may not like it.

What You See Is What You Get

When it comes to the Law Of Attraction I don’t rule anything out. I think most people have trouble because they think fancifully instead of powerfully. They think of it as rubbing the genie’s lamp. It is not the same.

It says, Like attracts Like. What thoughts or energy you put out there, think or vibrate at you get more of the same back. Birds of a feather flock together. Like attracts like.

People think, okay I want more happiness. I want more love. I want more money. They think. More Happiness. More Love. More Money but nothing happens. They get a little frustrated and try to think harder. Happiness Happiness, Love Love, Money Money on it goes.

What You Say Is What You Get

The reason it isn’t working is that it is working. HUH? It is working you are getting back what you are thinking or vibrating at. You exclaim, ‘wait no, no I am not. I haven’t, I tried it. Now, I am frustrated. I want more of these things and I haven’t got them yet’.

EXACTLY! That is the truth. You want more and you haven’t got and you are frustrated. You are working and so is the Law Of Attraction and it is getting you what you are putting out there. MORE of the same. You are getting back what you are. WHO you are.

If you want more happiness you must first be happiness! If you want more love, you must be love first. If you want more money you must put money out there first. You attract LIKE things! You attract what you are! If you are happiness you will get more happiness back!

What You Feel Is What You Get

The Law Of Cause And Effect states ‘for every cause there will be an equal and opposite effect’. What you initiate you will get back. Together, these laws work, not in isolation. This is why you attract what you are AND not what you want.

What you want you do not yet have. What you are IS right now. You get back more of what is right now. So, if what IS right now you are broke you get more broke back. If what IS right now you are lonely you get more lonely back. You get back what IS.

A magnet attracts another magnet or piece of metal not some imaginary future magnet or piece of metal. Do you get this yet? If you want something NOW you must BE IT now. That is why mindset is so critically important.

What You Are Is What You Get

This is why wishing, hoping, praying, begging, bargaining, threatening  doesn’t work. When you do any of these you are coming from a place of lack. You are NOT what you want to attract. And so you attract NOT what you want.

If you want happiness you must first BECOME happiness. You must think it, feel it, act it, live it. You must be it. You declare it already into being. You ‘act as if’ it is right here, right now, EVEN when it isn’t yet. You imagine the good you want AS already happened.

You imagine it. Relate to it ‘as if’ you have already accomplished it. You live in the reality you want to live in before actually getting there. From this place you attract the same. This is how you vibrate happiness. You think and feel happy. Then you create and attract happy.

You Become What You Think About

You attract what you already are. If you want more money act like you already have more money. Live it, breath it, enjoy it. Give it. You can’t be worried about making ends meet and financially free at the same time. Even if the bank account is low you need to celebrate!

Every time you pay a bill you need to think ‘good thing I am rich’. Or, ‘I love circulating money’. Or, ‘every dollar that flows out comes back to me multiplied’. That is how you attract more. You won’t attract it if you tighten the belt and think, ‘I am running out of cash’.

Mind set comes first. It begins within you before you get the results in the outer world. You have to have the correct thoughts and feelings and actions in place first. You have to have the mindset of someone wealthy THEN you attract more OF THE SAME!

Attitude Determines Your Altitude

Right now, you are already attracting more of the same! It just isn’t what you want. You tried visualizing, etc. etc. and claim it doesn’t work. Actually, IT WORKS TOO WELL! YOU are getting what you are ALREADY thinking about.

If you think it doesn’t work CONGRATULATIONS!!! It won’t. People constantly affirm lack thinking they are affirming prosperity. They aren’t. They stay broke and claim they aren’t attracting anything. They are! They are attracting staying broke. DO you GET THIS?

Your thoughts determine your reality! If your thoughts are positive and powerful and happy and abundance and joyful and grateful you feel that way. When you feel that way you do things differently than when you are bummed out.

What You Think About You Bring About

YOU attract more good feelings from those good feelings. LIKE ATTRACTS LIKE. That is why successful people with money seem to more easily make money. It seems to come to them with ease. Well, it does, because they think wealthy and successfully.

If your results suck it means your thinking sucks! SORRY, but it is true. You have to examine your thinking and get right with your thoughts first. They can’t be half positive and half negative. They can’t be mostly negative. Most people never get this.

Either you are thinking decrease or increase. If you want increase you must BE increase. Think increase, feel increase, speak increase, behave increase. YOU MUST BE IT! When you ARE IT you get MORE OF IT! YOU attract LIKENESS!

Birds Of A Feather Flock Together

People keep missing this. They blame themselves, others, and they look for missing secrets. They try all sorts of things. They don’t have to. They only have to get this one area correct. THIS is what unleashes the positive changes! Attitude determines your altitude.

Some want to sit around  and imagine checks appearing out of thin air. If you sit in a room and hope they will manifest by meditating day and night, good luck. I won’t rule it out but that alone isn’t likely. However, I believe anything IS possible.

If you are active in your mind; if your thinking is correct first, and you are out working your plan and creating the life you want, because your attitude is right you can see a nice payoff from many places. It works. It may be surprising and seem to come from thin air.

From Within To Without

Money comes quickly to those who succeed because once at the top everyone else wants a piece of the successful person. Checks can begin to ‘just’ show up. BUT it didn’t happen by rubbing a lamp or meditating on dollars flowing to you. It comes because you are successful.

Now here is an important point. Meditating on money flowing to you can be useful. Meditating on money IS foundational work. You begin to adopt the right mindset by imagining money flowing in. Imagining you are worthy. Imagining you already have money and it feels good.

In this case it not wishful thinking. Meditating on dollars flowing to you is a great way to begin to get your mindset right. You begin to see yourself as one attracting money, or as a vessel for cash or a conduit for abundance. You begin to relate to money positively.

It Is Important To Be Able To Give And To Be Able To Receive

That is great. That is preliminary work to get your mindset right. You deserve wealth. You absolutely want to meditate and get the right attitude. That is the important first step. You have to feel wealthy. Feel abundance! Feel you deserve it. Feel it comes to you.

Then take it further. It isn’t just coming to you YOU are making it happen. Imagine already having it. Imagine being successful. Imagine how you got it legally and ethically. Enjoy living the dream in your mind feeling all the marvelous feelings.

Eventually, you must develop a plan for getting it. You won’t get it sitting in your room. You must act. You don’t have to know ‘the how’ at the start but you will down the road. In time, it will come to you.

Your Brain Your Mind Your Subconscious Is Really Your Friend

Because you think on it day and night, and maintain a positive frame of mind your subconscious puts together an action plan. Your brain literally looks for matches within your experiences and in  your outer world. It pulls together your resources. You brain works on it for you.

You have heard it before I’ll repeat it again. The subconscious mind doesn’t know the difference between an internal, made up visualization and the real world. Whatever internal representation you have made is what your brain assumes it is true and acts on.

If you are broke, unhappy and lonely your brain is operating off those internal images, thoughts, and feelings. That is why you keep getting more of the same. Whatever you say you have IS what you will have. What you see is what you get. Do you understand?

Your Brain Is The Work Horse You Are The Director

This is an important point. If you don’t have the results you want you aren’t thinking and imagining the results as they will be you are stuck imagining them as they are. You are looking at your outer circumstances and noting ‘nothing has changed’. SO IT WON’T!

This is why Napoleon Hill said ‘THINK and grow rich’. It starts with thinking. Get your thinking right and you can grow rich! You can be, do or have anything you want. He stated you first needed to be able to conceive what you want and believe it then you could achieve it.

Yup, BECOME IT and you can have it! You will attract what you are! Because that is already what you are doing. YOU ARE ALREADY GETTING WHAT YOU ARE ON THE INSIDE. If you don’t like what you have been getting, YOU CAN CHANGE IT! That is the fantastic news.  Awareness is the first part of transformation.

You Already Have Everything You Need For Transformation

Realize why and how you have been getting less than glorious results and change your thoughts. Take control and put yourself in charge. Think positively and act powerfully to become what it is you want to attract. You can if you apply yourself. Might it take some time.

YES! If you  are over weight by 25 or 50 pounds THAT didn’t happen overnight. It took time to  get there. Expect it would take some time to return to your normal and ideal weight. It will take some time to learn to attract what you want and that is fine. IF it isn’t you will just attract more of whatever the issue is. STOP IT!

The way to change is to be positive. Have fun! Delight and feel joyful most of the time. Evolve yourself. It won’t happen to you BUT YOU will make it happen. How? By having the right attitude. Become what you want to have more of and you will! Live in appreciation. Feel gratitude! Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

Tired Of The Hype? Who Makes The Law Of Attraction Work?

“Do you want a happening career? Want to get a great job? Want to book more gigs? Would you like to be happier? Want more money? How about a relationship? Are you interested in the good life?

People try all sorts of things; they work really hard, hope, pray, they bargain, try magic and the Law Of Attraction (LOA). They do lots of different things but seem only to be spinning their wheels.

How do you get what you want? Lot’s of people work hard but don’t get anywhere. They try all those things but still struggle. That is sad. They can have what they want if they work smarter.

They don’t have to work harder. That is a myth. They don’t need anything added to them from the outside, but they think they do. SO they try lots of things that don’t produce the results they want.

It Was Called Think And Grow Rich

I don’t really like the term ‘the law of attraction’ but it has been around for a hundred years or so. Since it is popular and somewhat accurate, I use it to discuss what you can make happen.

The practice is powerful and absolutely works but it is not the ‘instant magic pill’ people wish it to be.  When they find out ‘it’ doesn’t match their unrealistic expectations they quit.

They blame IT for not working, and move on. It’s not IT that doesn’t work. IT Does. The change that must first take place is an inner change. An inner attitude. Without this, IT won’t work, that is true.

It isn’t magic. It doesn’t come from outside of you. No one waves a magic wand. It stems from within you. It is a process and it requires time, so be patient. It is absolutely reliable.

It Was Called The Science Of The Mind

It does work. It is completely up to you. Just don’t believe all the hype about ‘finding the missing ingredient that wasn’t included in the secret’… there is much marketing BS around the LOA.

What is the law of attraction then?

It is the harnessing and focusing of your internal mental powers, your feelings and your actions in pursuit of a strongly desired outcome. Your inner workings determine your outer results.

It includes, the accurate notion that ‘birds of a feather flock together.’ That, ‘like attracts like’. THAT isn’t magic THAT is law! In order to have that happen YOU do it. I’ll explain.

What You Think About You Bring About

Simple enough. You put your brain to work deliberately accomplish what it is you want to accomplish. The difference between most people and those who make it work is outer and inner.

Those who have difficulty expect something outside of them to help them. Those who make it work know it is they who help themselves. They get their mindset right and create what they want.

The LOA means you focus on your goal with such desire, such passion, that all else falls away. You target your goal with laser like precision. All of your energy is devoted to making this come true.

Your goal begins as an idea that you make real. You create it and fashion it. It is all you. You focus your energies and resources the same way you aim a magnifying glass to focus light and burn paper.

Energy Flows Where Your Attention Goes

That same paper can sit in unfocused daylight forever and never burn. You focus, you create and you attract because of your mindset and your behaviors. Not because of magical wishing things different.

Your intention and attention is so devoted to what you want your subconscious works on this day and night and comes up with ideas and plans for how you can accomplish it.

You marshall your resources and abilities. You don’t have to know how to begin because as you act and move forward you initiate these processes. Begin where you are with what you have!

The ‘how’ will take care of itself as you act on your own behalf. You may change your plans many times on route to your destination but you keep traveling to where you want to get to.

You Don’t Live A Positive Life Thinking Negative Thoughts

You don’t give up. You don’t quit. If obstacles arise and you detour, you detour but keep going. You persist. This is where others throw in the towel. They think it should be easy. They want it easy. Easy!

It is easy. Not always, but it is. It is simple. When it does get tough you must too. You are the person in charge. Not a deity or deities, not magical fairy dust or laws, you, your subconscious mind.

As you journey you begin to understand that success never happens in isolation. If you are smart you do things that attract and enlist the aid of others. You develop your personality so as to be likable.

Develop a pleasing personality so others would want to help. You apply the Golden Rule. You treat others well, with respect and attention. You help first because you like people. THEY reciprocate.

You Become What You Think About All Day Long

Go that extra mile and add value. Again, you add it FIRST. You help without having to be asked. If you want others to help you it only makes sense you give them something worthy in advance. Get it?

Surround yourself with others who are smarter and who can help you on the way. Support others who are trying to succeed. Celebrate their successes as they move forward. They reciprocate!

Work together as a team. Become a valued player. Through co-operation we get further, faster than alone or in trying to compete. When we celebrate and validate others they reciprocate!

With your mind and energies so focused your brain becomes alerted to others, events and opportunities that are beneficial to you and you to them. More wonderful things seem to come your way.

Birds Of A Feather Flock Together

Your Reticular Activating System (RAS) in your brain works this way. Because you focused it, it  finds matches in your experience and out in the world. You notice opportunity previously closed off from you.

People are attracted to you because you are a more attractive personality. You friendliness, your commitment, your drive and your passion are attractive to likeminded people. Like attracts like.

Like a beacon light on a hill others are drawn to you. Never forget however, it is you doing it. You are evolving yourself. You are making everything happen. You are responsible. When you take charge!

You are a deliberate creator. You and others help you succeed so no need to get egotistical about it. Keep humble. Stay focused on all the factors that contribute to your success and be grateful.

What You Say Is What You Get

You started it. You have to maintain it. It is always up to you. Most people expect it to happen to or for them if they believe, pray, chant, affirm, visualize. It doesn’t. YOU make it happen. You keep it going!

Keep going until you have what you want. You will attract like minded dedicated people to assist you. Value these people, your time and energy. Use it wisely to accomplish your dreams.

You’ll find more opportunity. You will discover more of the good life. You will notice yourself having more fun, being more delighted and living large. Celebrate it all. Never forget you are doing it.

You are doing it!  Others are helping and you are helping others. Take advantage of and continue to enjoy the new good life that comes to you. This is why it does seem magical.

The Kite Rises Against The Wind

Consider obstacles as lessons. Learn from those moments.  All defeat is temporary unless you give up. Maintain your focus and your positive mental attitude. Persevere and learn!

Maintain your positive productive actions, behaviors and practices. As you do you will develop positive reliable habits and eliminate old worn out ones. Its a conditioning process of developing good habits.

You will have replaced tired, chronic, defeatist thinking with positive powerful, thoughts.  You will have evolved yourself and your life. You took charge and lived a champion lifestyle. Celebrate!

Looking back you can connect the dots and see how you made it happen. Going through it keep your desire and faith high. Keep going no matter what. Are you beginning to understand?

Hindsight Is 20/20

When finished you’ll know the Law Of Attraction works. You have created and attracted what you want. Once you have put it into practice it is easy to do again and again. Thoughts become things.

Henry Ford said, ‘if you think you can or you think you can’t you are right.’ I say, ‘if you believe it will be easy it will be. if you believe it will be hard it will be. It will be whatever you believe it to be.’

Live the life of a creator. Live with gratitude and appreciation. Help others. Most don’t and won’t ever live this way. They drop out anywhere along the line. They didn’t have to it is just what they did.

Instead of owning up, they blamed the LOA. They say, it didn’t work. That thinking will never get them what they want because they are not in charge. Some ‘IT’ is in charge, but ‘IT’ doesn’t do the work.

What To Do When You Just Don’t Feel Like It…

“Do you get inspired only to lose it? Do you you feel positive and then not? Does it sometimes seem like a struggle to keep centered or on the right track? If yes, first know this is completely normal. Everyone goes through it. After all, we are human.

We have ups and downs in our journey. We may not want them but maybe we ought to. When we open up, accept, make the way for, invite and receive we move ahead faster than by resisting. Struggles help us grow. Down times do as well. Contrast is good.

If it weren’t for discontent we might never change. We don’t want to be complacent and comfortable and miss out. At the same time we don’t want to strive and miss what we can appreciate. Balance is the answer. Celebrate struggles, be grateful for all. Then life IS grand.

You Are The Key To Change

I wanted to share a comment from a reader. I answered in the comment at the blog post and I answer this blog for today. I felt it may apply to others so I wanted to address it to as many as possible, not only to those who see the particular blog comment.

The author wrote: ‘As long as I read your post I feel positive and confidant . But after that I go back to the same mental frame . Even that little time frame will expand someday and I look forward to it happening . I thank you .’

Thanks for sharing. You have the correct attitude. That is wonderful. Even though you may not feel positive and confident all the time you look forward to that day when you will enjoy it more so because you know what you are doing now will expand. AND IT WILL!

Take Action Now

That puts you ahead of the game. Expecting to win IS playing the game well.  That IS a positive and confident mind set. You ARE looking forward to that day become more of a regular occurrence. Congratulate and validate yourself and your awareness! Wonderful!

I add the rest only as a reminder to all of us. Reading is only the beginning. You want to DO that which helps change your thinking. The easiest way to accomplish this and enjoy lasting success is to fill your mind with positive reading material daily. Put on a smile!

Read the blog, re-read the blogs. Make it a study not light reading or entertainment.  Read positive and inspiring books, listen to positive and inspiring audios, watch uplifting DVD’s. Listen and watch again and again. Repeated exposure to the same material is amazing!

The Secret To Change – Not Fighting The Old But Building The New

There are 24 hours in a day and most people don’t direct their mind for much of any of it. Researchers say 95-99% of what we do daily is habitual, routine, chronic, thinking, feeling and behaving. It is previous past programming much of which is less than glorious.

In order to begin to change it we need to tip the scale in favor of the positive. We do this through daily dedication and practice. Each positive step we take in the direction of what we want gets us closer to our destination. The journey, how we get there is important.

Have fun. Delight. Enjoy the journey. Find positive infographics, posters, mottos, sayings, affirmations that you can begin to repeat sincerely over and over again. This is very powerful. Look at my blogs on Directed Questions and apply that information.

What You Resist Persists

Set aside time for a gratitude and success journal. List what you are grateful for and you daily successes. Validate what you appreciate about yourself and other. Acknowledge your wins. Visualize yourself, feeling positive, loving, confident, happy, strong.

Whatever you would like more of acknowledge and emphasize. Concentrate on it. What you focus on expands. Accentuate the positive! You bring about what you think about! Energy flows where your attention goes. Maintain your mindset bit by bit. Smile more!

Help others in positive ways. Give to others without expecting anything in return. Appreciate yourself, circumstances and others. Celebrate everything! Persist and soon a new day will dawn. Old habits seem tough to break but you can learn new ones. Smile!

There Is No Better Time Than Now

Smile more, laugh more, Celebrate everything! Move, walk, notice nature and the beauty that surrounds you. Look at how and where the world is good and plentiful. We live in an abundant universe. Notice that. Be gentle, kind and encouraging to self and others.

The way you form new habits  is the same way you learned the old ones. Correct spaced repetition. You perform the same drills again and again in sports to become a better athlete. The same is true about become a positive thinking champion. Keep doing it!

Drop by drop fills the tub. Step by step the journey is made. The more you do the more you can do. Anything worthwhile is worth having difficulty with at first. Whatever we want to do with ease we must first do with diligence. We become what we think about all day.

You Can’t Make A Positive Change With A Negative Attitude

Do daily practice. Read some as much as you can each day. If nothing else read at least a page, a paragraph but DO something. Listen when able. Keep the journals. Repeat the affirmations out loud enthusiastically and silently day in and day out. Smile more! 🙂

Have fun, have faith and you will soon see change. It takes a bare minimum of 21 days to make or break a habit. It can take longer. Make this a daily practice. Commit and keep going don’t quit. Persist. Stay in touch! Oh, did I mention, Smile more?  AND celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
