How To Quickly Manifest What You Want

“People often ask, ‘How do we create or manifest what we want?’ ‘Is there a way to attract to ourselves what we desire?’ They want to know if there are ways and how to work it all the more quickly. Can we reduce the time it takes to make things happen? What must we do?

The quickest way to become what you want to be in life is to say ‘I am’ that which you want to be. Declare it! ‘I am happy’; ‘I am successful’; ‘I am loving’; ‘I am healthy’.  What you think about you bring about. You can declare ‘I have health’; ‘I have wealth’; ‘I have everything I need to be happy and successful’. Affirm it!

‘I Am’ is creation. ‘I have’ is creation. You declare what you want as though you already have it. You imagine the good you desire in life and you affirm it. ‘I am’ is the spoken word you declare. ‘I am’ is the picture you seen in your mind. ‘I am’ is the feeling. Feel it fully!

Picture what you want as thought you already have it and savor the incredible feelings. Feeling are the key. Just repeating things endlessly makes no difference. You must see, say AND feel what it is like to already have that which you desire for the future.

Those feelings are the creative power. See it. Declare it done. Feel it fully. It is all three! It is the combination of all three,  pictures, your word, and feelings, that make your affirmations powerful. “As a man thinks in his heart so he is’.  Affirm what you want.

Declare what you want. Your affirmation is your mantra. Repeat it again and again. What you focus on expands. What you think about all day long you become! When you ‘act as if’ you already have you everything you desire and feel it fully your brain gets the message and works full steam to bring it about.

Then get out of the way and allow yourself to have it. You have to be able to receive without resistance. This is hard for many people. You have to believe it is on its way. If you get distracted and think about how your current circumstances are different from what you want you set up resistance. What you resist persists. Stop it!

If you want a new car declare it. Then accept it is on its way. If you do all the creating but then you keep complaining about the current car you are noticing the lack of the new car. Your focus is on what you don’t like and don’t enjoy.

If you knew you had a new car on order and that is is coming from the dealership you’d be eager for it. Without question. You would also know it was on its way without question. You wouldn’t doubt whether it was going to materialize. You know it is because you ordered it and the dealership is delivering it.

You’d feel great knowing you are the owner of this new car and excited about. If you won the lottery and you this for a fact. You’d be thrilled even though you haven’t received the money yet. You still know the money is yours because you won it. THIS FEELING of having it already is how we create what we want in life.

It is the steadfast focus on what you create and the wonderful feelings of possession that open the floodgates. The easiest way to get what you want is to simply feel the best you can most of the time. Live in celebration and gratitude. Love and enjoy everything. Then your mindset is incredibly positive and powerful.

You feel marvelous. If you feel marvelous most of the day, every day, whether or not you got your dreams everything would still be incredible. The secret is when you feel wonderful most of the time you are creating and inviting good things into your life. When you feel incredible life is incredible! This is the way to live!

To feel wonderful you must think wonderful. AND you must do those positive things that encourage positive feelings. Celebrate and be glad. When feeling down shift yourself out of it. Get yourself to feel at least a little bit better. Make yourself! Move toward delight until eventually you get there. Keep moving step by step. Bit by bit.

Dance, sing, play, laugh, skip, walk, do whatever you do to feel your best AND keep doing it. Enjoy life and everything about it! When you love it all you accept it all. You get out of the way so you can be gifted with all good things. You radiate, vibrate, magnetically attract and create because you are that kind of person. Life is grand!

You want to get the things you want as quick as possible? Stop focusing on lack. Stop being distracted with petty annoyances and daily frustrations that bring you down and tire you out. Live fully. Be alive. Have fun, feel good. Be of good cheer.

Be positive and thankful and everything will come your way most quickly. Live, love, laugh and celebrate everything! Live with passion and with zest and you can have everything you want!” Rex Sikes

A Secret I Learned To Keep From Spiraling Down And Out During Tough Times

“What do you do when things go awry? What do you do when the fan is hit hard? Times can get tough. There are obstacles and challenges. We all go through them. What can you do? How do you apply these principles to make a difference?

I can tell you what I do. I have been challenged recently in some big ways. Years ago it might have meant screeching to a halt or hitting the skids. Today, it is much, much different. It doesn’t mean challenges are less severe it means, sometimes, I handle them better.

I Take Control Of What I Imagine And What I Say To Myself

When I become aware that I am feeling down and out, or thinking negatively or beginning to wonder ‘why in the world am I going through this’ in that instant I realize I have a choice. I can continue to spiral down or to apply what I know works. I’m at a decision point.

When I am wise enough I apply what works. I give up. I accept that I have no clue what is going on. I let go as much as able and I remind myself ‘things always work out for the best for me.’ I know, it sounds trite but it is actually true. Things do work out for the best.

In the long run, that place far away that we can’t see yet, everything does seem to work out well.  I have written before that many times people look back at the ‘worst time’ in their life and state emphatically had it not been for that time they would not have and enjoy where they are right now.

What We Focus On Is What We Get

I know sometimes we have to really search to find the good or the lesson but it is hidden there as a seed. We just have to find it! When times are tough my mantra becomes ‘things always work out for the best’. I think ‘how come I am so lucky, so blessed and fortunate!’

I turn my attention to what I am grateful for and celebrate as much and as enthusiastically as I can. I make it a point to have faith that everything will resolve in a positive way even if I can’t see it or understand it. Somewhere, somehow, good will come of this.

Whether you believe it or not, whether it is accurate or not, really isn’t the point. It allows me to move through it faster and stay more resourceful. It helps me focus on  being productive and consider what I want and not spend time dwelling on what I don’t want.

Times can be very tough for any one of us. This is one of the best ways I know how to get through tough times. I know that every time times are tough I somehow manage better because between those times and during those times I apply these principles I am sharing as best I am able. Whew, did you get that?

Your Mind Is Obedient Once You Learn To Control It

This is one of the reasons I write so much about building positive habits because they will carry you  once established. There is strength in a strong foundation. It is also why I write about loving and praising yourself through difficult times or when mistakes are made. Criticism and self loathing doesn’t help any.

You know what? I don’t know why shit hits the fan. I don’t know why it rains on the rich and the poor or the good and the bad. I don’t! I know what I might believe about it. I know many different philosophic and scientific answers for why but I don’t know that any are true. I don’t think it really matters to know why.

I prefer to think somehow it is to wake us up. Whether by design or intelligence OR NOT, bad things happen and are opportunities to confront our programs and patterns and wake up to them. These events and circumstances challenge us to become aware and go beyond how we routinely react. So we can move into new ways of being.

The World And Her People Hold Mirrors Up For Us To See

While I may not immediately recognize them as such, I reframe the tough times as gifts. Blessings to help me examine myself and become better. The challenge for me is to look inward and not outward for the solution or the cause. I want to learn to respond with awareness not blame or accuse others or events.

Gifts to become more aware. Gifts to become free. Seems sad sometimes that we wake up through loss and tragedy but perhaps there is no other way to get our own attention. If nothing shakes us up we just go on doing what we have been conditioned to. So I think of less than glorious circumstances as a necessary evil.

I may resist them. Fight them. BUT when I surrender to them I always learn something and grow more. It hurts to grow sometimes. There are growing pangs. AND I certainly haven’t all the answers. Actually, I have very few. What I can have is faith in myself.

Turn Resistance Into Assistance

I can have faith that everything always does work out for the best, somehow in the long run. Then I begin to look for the blessing s and opportunities hidden inside these situations. Whether right or wrong I get more done. I don’t feel so bad and I stay on track. It is helpful for me to consider it this way. Attitude is everything.

Life is a series of adjusting to stay on course. Just as when you drive your car down a straight lane. You are always adjusting left and right to stay within the lines. So why should it be any different in anything else. If I get negative I adjust back toward the positive. I feel better. The more I make the adjustments the easier the next adjustment becomes. This is how habits are formed through positive repetition.

So, celebration, gratitude, looking for blessings and finding them in the midst of trouble is a skill we can develop. This too can become a habit. As said before, habits may be difficult to initiate but once formed they are difficult to break and they will carry you. A Realist Never Flew – It Took A Dreamer To Make It Possible: Which Are You?

“There are those who say ‘I am a realist when it comes to thinking’. Interestingly enough, a realist may see what is there but only a visionary can see what can be.

One may be good at recognizing what is present. The other builds the future. All innovation stems from visionaries and dreamers, who saw what needed to be added to the present. They sought to  make it better.

A realist never flew. A dreamer made it possible. Become a dreamer. Look around you and be glad for all of it. Celebrate it. Then add to it. Dream big. Think beyond the boundaries. It all first begins as a thought!

Napoleon Hill said, ‘If you can conceive it and believe it you can achieve it.’  Everything in the human world is first conceived of as a thought, a possibility. It only comes into being in reality when creators believe it is possible.

What you think about you can bring about. From the inside to the outside is the process of creation. The results you get are first born between your ears. If you see it in your mind you can hold it in your hand.

So dream big. Believe it is possible. Make it happen. Oliver Wendall Holmes stated, ‘A mind stretched to a new idea can never go back to it’s original dimension.’ When it comes to you and your life dare to go beyond what you already know into something truly incredible!

What You See Is What You Get: How To See It!

“How do you make changes and get what you want? That seems to be on a lot of minds? What do I do? How should I think about it? What if I don’t visualize well? Can you help me? These and other questions I get asked a lot by clients and at speaking events or workshops.

Yesterday, a client emailed me asking how to think about getting a new job. How should she create it in her mind or use the Law Of Attraction to land the kind of ideal job she wants. Should she use a vision board? What can she do?

She stated she doesn’t see her pictures. I thought I’d include the answer here as a sample of what you can do. I said, YES, a vision board can help. Absolutely, this is a great practice. Plus, she has had success using one in the past. SO that is good news.

Writing Helps You Visualize

I also suggested the person visualize what they wanted ‘as if’ they already had it all right now. Life is perfect and she is working the perfect job. Imagine what that is like in detail. Because she stated she didn’t see anything I suggested she write it in a journal. Not only once but write it down daily. This is an amazing practice.

Record what she experienced and how she feels when everything is perfect. Fully Imagine already having that perfect job. Describe it in detail. Write down what she does, who is around her, what it is like working there AND HOW IT FEELS!

I gave her some sample text instructing her to put it in her own words. After all, it is her perfect job, not mine. I suggested  she might write some things like this. ‘I love my co-workers they are so cool. I appreciate how we support each other and interact. I look forward each day to seeing them.’

‘I love going to work it makes me feel extra special. I smile as I approach the place because I know I will have a great day with great people doing work and helping others.’

It Is What You Are Feeling That Is Most Important

‘I love the money this new job pays me. I enjoy having money coming in. Imagine being able to do something I enjoy so much and make good money doing it. I am blessed.’

So each day write more about it. Each day write and feel wonderful for five minutes or more. The more the better. As long as you feel the wonderful feelings while you are doing it. It is all about the feelings you have.

I explained that you write to help yourself visualize what you want and to feel all the incredible feelings you would feel as you live this reality. Remember, you are answering the question, ‘if life were perfect how would you feel?’ What are you doing and what are you grateful for?

We Are Always Using Affirmations 

I then suggested she use ‘I am’ and ‘I have’ statements to continue to create what she wants. Anything that follows ‘I am’ or ‘I have’ is what we experience. Unfortunately, too many people make horribly negative ‘I am’ and ‘I have’ statements.

People affirm what they don’t want all the time. They say things such as, ‘I am broke.’ ‘I have no money.’ ‘I have too many bills.’ ‘I am stupid’ or ‘Why am I so stupid?’ the sad list goes on and on. It is no wonder they keep getting more of the same. Birds of a feather flock together.

I suggested these statements as example. ‘I am happy in my job. I have lots of happy experiences because of the people I am interacting with. I am contributing and adding value to my employers. This always makes me feel wonderful.’

Learn To Use Affirmations To Get What You Want

‘I have all the right talents to work in this arena. I am confident and happy. I love and appreciate everything this job brings me. I attract the right people to me. I am surrounded by good friends. I am brave and confident.’

‘I can control my thoughts. I am in charge. I can learn to do anything I put my mind to. I am resourceful. I have all the money I need and more keeps coming to me. I feel secure. I am creative. I am peaceful and relaxed.’

I told her you can do this! Watch your thoughts and feelings. Whenever you are feeling less than glorious change what you are thinking about to something positive. Stop the negativity. Rephrase whatever you are thinking about into the positive.

Learn to Use ‘As If’ To Create The Results You Want

Your feelings are a great indicator of your thoughts. Your feelings let you know, whether you feel good or not, whether you are thinking positive or not. Less than good means less than positive. Stop, take a breath and change it.

Ask positive Directed Questions™ which lead your mind where you want it to go. If at first, you have difficulty accepting or believing the other powerful affirmations use questions.  ‘How soon can I enjoy discovering how truly resourceful I am?’

‘In how many ways can I find myself feeling blessed and excited?’ “How quickly will I amaze myself to find many different things I feel truly grateful for?’ ‘As I go through my day I wonder how surprised I might be to discover how much fun I can have that puts a smile on my face and a song in my heart?’

Use Intentional Thinking Don’t Be Haphazard

Count your blessings and feel blessed. Take my examples and come up with your own. Watch what you think and say to yourself.  If it is less than glorious or what you DO NOT WANT change it.  Be in charge of your own mind. Think positive and keep thinking positive. Make it a habit by repeating it again and again.

You can do this! Drop by drop fills the tub. Think all blessings! Celebrate and enjoy! You will be amazed at how quickly you can create or attract and live the kind of life you want to live. When you aim your mind positively your mind finds opportunity and advantages in the outer world you would have otherwise missed.

Get your mind working for you. Program it to work for you. Write in your journal. Make positive affirmations and questions emphatically with positive emotion and enthusiasm. Once a habit it will continue to work for you automatically. Great News! DO IT!!!” Rex Sikes

What Can You Do To Improve Today?

“What can you do today that will move you closer to being, doing and having what you want for your career and life? What small steps can you take today? What will you do? When it comes down to it it is up to you.

What can you do today to enjoy life a little bit more? What tiny change can you make that will allow you to focus on feeling delighted and celebrate your life right where you are at?

What can you do today that will put a smile on the lips of someone you know? What can you do to help this person feel better? Perhaps, you could help them finish or accomplish a project. Maybe, together, you could  begin something important.

What can you do today that will put a smile on the lips of someone you do not know?  A complete stranger. How can you be of benefit to this person? What might you do that would help them out?

What can you do to make the world a little nicer, a little better and a happier place? What might you do today? It doesn’t have to be something big and great. Some times it is the little things that really make a difference. What will you do today?

A Vital Secret To Success: Make Your Knowledge Work For You

“Have you heard the saying ‘Knowledge is Power?’ Do you believe it? Could you have knowledge but no power? What do you think? Do you consider yourself a learner? Do you apply what you know?

Some people run from book to book or from training to training attempting to get more information to be better in their career or live a better life. They learn and keep learning.

To be a life long learner IS a great thing when done correctly. Some people search for information incessantly as if to fill a void in their life. The search it out, find it and then keep looking. Then look again.

The Mind Is As Good As Its Weakest Think

Knowledge is power but ONLY when it is used. If it is not applied there is no benefit in it. Knowledge for knowledge sake is meaningless. It might be interesting but it isn’t life changing.

The point of knowledge is to do something with it to transform. You or I or the smartest people in the world don’t benefit if it isn’t applied. When applied it becomes powerful. It can be wonderful.

When you apply what you know you learn more because you learn from experience. There is no greater teacher than experience. Attempting and failing and attempting again brings wisdom.

Knowledge for the sake of information is dead. Knowledge put to good use is alive, active, and evolves your thinking. It adds to you resource base and increases your awareness of opportunity.

Use It Or Lose It

Put your knowledge to use right away. When you learn something useful or beneficial apply it as soon as possible. THEN keep learning and seeking. Stay open to what else there may be.

Then continue life long learning. Read positive and inspirational material. Take and apply the suggestions. WORK IT. Repeat it. Re-read the material again a few days or weeks later. Then again later.

Write down what you are learning in your own words. Re-read it again at another time. Re-write it again in your own words. You change by applying knowledge. Your understanding grows.

From the application and the re-visiting of the material you evolve. You evolve through trial and error, success and failure. When you revisit and re-write you make the understanding your own.

Skill Comes Of Doing

Do you have to do these things? No, of course not but they help! Learning is not the passive accumulation of tidbits of information, yet, that is what many people think. Application is vital.

The more you learn the more you can learn. The more you apply the more becomes available. Use your learning to make life what you want it to be. Otherwise, what is there? Interesting info.

Share your knowledge. Assist others in learning. Surround yourself with positive people with similar dreams and desire who can inspire you and assist you AND vice versa. DO workshops and training.

Imagine using your knowledge positively in a variety of ways. See yourself doing what you want. Visualize it as if you have already learned it and made it a habit and are benefiting from it.

When Directed Towards A Chief Aim Then Knowledge Is Power

Constructively day dream! Put your new knowledge to work. Take it for a real test drive. Use it!  You will add immeasurably to your overall well being. It will make an important difference for you.

As your learning increases so will your awareness of what else is there to benefit from. Opportunity and advantages become more visible and recognizable. You transform beyond what you know.

Celebrate it and be grateful. You are changing in positive and beneficial ways when you apply your knowledge correctly. You will be delighted at the positive results you can get. Do it; begin now!” Rex Sikes

How Easy It Is To Hate And Why

“Why do people treat each other poorly? Why do we have such little regard for our own species? Why do we hate those unlike us? I am not sure I have any answer to these important questions but I learned much from some adventures during the 80’s.

I have become convinced that focusing on hate and trying to rid oneself or others of hate is as futile as anything else we have tried to rid ourselves of. We don’t stop hating by legislating against it, however, we may curb it by focusing on love and acceptance.

We need to focus on what we do want and not what we don’t want. We identify what we don’t want, yes! Then we put our attention onto what we do want instead. This keeps up moving forward regarding our goals.

If we want to end hate and discrimination we need to be love. We attract that which we already are, we create from whom we are. We need to be it not simply want it. Wanting it means it has not arrived yet. If we are it we already embody that which is necessary for change. I believe this is an important distinction.

A Journey Of Sorts

“Here is what I experienced. From 1980 to 1990 I had been a sannyasin of Osho otherwise formerly known as Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh. I fell in love with the little guy’s message from books and listening to tapes.

I had been a student of the mind since I was 11. I read every book I could on spirituality, meditation, powers of the mind, Napoleon Hill and New Thought leaders, religious text, hypnosis and other disciplines. I sought to improve myself and evolve as a person.

I adored the message and promise  of meditation. I had spent time with others, including Swami Muktananda, Satchidananda, Krishnamurti.  Living in Los Angeles allowed me to have access to other prominent speakers and thinkers East and West.

When Osho came to America and headed west to Oregon I decided to go too.  I had received sannyas in Laguna Beach at an ashram center. So when I could, whenever I could, I went to stay or live in Oregon at the city commune. There were some dedicated people who lived and stayed there year round. I came and went.

Initiation Into Sannyas And Living With Awareness

Taking sannyas then meant  wearing clothes the colors of the sunrise as a reminder of one’s commitment to meditation. It meant wearing a mala, a neckless of 108 beads, to represent 108 forms of mediation. It meant taking a sannyas name. I did all three.

I was very aware that wearing red clothes and beads was my clown suit. It was different from the jeans and clothes I wore and most others did. To say I stood out is an understatement I suppose. I certainly did. A red orange beacon in a sea of brown and blue.

I lost friends because I wore red clothes. Suddenly, I was a cult member. I must be brainwashed were the statements I heard. I tried to explain that I could always take off the outer trappings; which are no different today than wearing branded clothing from popular designers. I was branded a sannyasin in the East. In the West I was branded a cult member.

I wore a brand – sannyasin wear. I was identifiable by being an odd ball. AND yes I could always remove them if I chose. I chose not to. It was, for me, an exercise in awareness. At first, prior to becoming a sannyasin, the thought of anything other than jeans, blue jeans was terrifying. Wearing beads absolutely out of the question.

Clown Suit Colors Are Most Fast Food Colors And Then Some

Once I put them on it took some time to become comfortable. As I stated it was an exercise for me. Not for anyone else. While I wore the sannyas, monk trappings that separated me from the rest of ‘normal’ society as a catholic priest or nun would, I didn’t consider myself different or special.

I sought to allow mediation to be my life. Anyway, I learned that I did not have a problem with the colors or the beads but that others did. My clown suit became a marvelous testing ground. When asked, I tried to explain to people the clothes and colors were meaningless.

They didn’t make me better or worse. They were clown colors. I didn’t have to wear them I chose to wear them. It didn’t matter. People believed whatever they wanted to regardless of my explanation. I did look like a walking fast food restaurant I suppose.

People either accepted me, got to know me, or they didn’t. The clothing and the beads was a barrier. It was right where most people stopped and drew conclusions. I figured they didn’t even begin to see me if all they did was stop at the colors.

Everything Is A Choice

Some made it  through the barrier of red, orange and purple clothes when blue and brown and green ruled the day. Some people couldn’t accept a beaded person in flamboyant jeans and tee shirts. I still wore traditional jeans and tees just dyed a different color.

Many times I was asked if I was gay. I must be they concluded. No real man wore purple or maroon. I was shunned. People would stare and comment. People would point, snicker and laugh. I was followed many, many times and taunted.

I was screamed at and called names. I was threatened with violence and told to go back to my country. I was physically chased out of places and many times accosted. I had guns pointed at me a couple of times.

In Oregon I was refused food in restaurants and gas at gas stations. In the LA airport one man passing out gospel tracks shouted repeatedly at the top of his lungs for someone to shoot and kill me.

He drew the attention of the police to the area. They ultimately settled everything down and stated he had the right to his opinion. He was expressing free speech and they left. As did I.

We Are Constantly Choosing

L A was less hostile because there are so many odd people wearing odd things. I traveled the country. I spent time in the East and in NYC, the Midwest and the South always dressed in my clown wear. Different parts of the country had greater degrees of intolerance.

Through all of my experiences I faced with myself. Does this bother me or not? Is it important? Is it my issue or someone else’s? Do I care what they think? Can I accept them even if they don’t accept me?

What they do has nothing to do with me because they don’t even know me. They are upset at my clothing and what it means to them. There were some times when I lapsed and made it my issue.

Most of the time I realized I was wearing clothes that, for whatever reason, others had problems with. Others took issue with my clown suit choice and made it about me. A person they did not know. Maybe they didn’t care to know and that was fine.

We Are All The Same

I was a provoking beacon traveling through the world. I learned opinions and actions of others were their own and had nothing to do with who I was or am. They didn’t know me they only saw the beads and clothes. That wasn’t my problem so I didn’t make it mine.

I am not saying I was always aware or awake or that I wasn’t at times offended or frightened. For the most part though I knew inside I could take these off and no one would be the wiser. I would immediately fit in. I would be accepted. I knew it was my choice.

Because of this I chose to wear them. I wore them because from moment to moment it was a reminder of my decision to live as a meditator and live peacefully. I am no better than anyone in any regard. I have those things that I took or take issue with.

This exercise has helped me see my sticking or stopping points. It has made me more aware of when I get stuck and stop short and do not go beyond and investigate more. We are people. We are cut from the same swatch. We all have areas of issues.

Learn To Respond Instead Of React

People’s responses could push my buttons and I could react or respond. I sought to learn how to respond in the moment with awareness and acceptance of whatever is. I could wear them or not it didn’t matter. There would always be something someone could find an issue about. Isn’t there?

Because I had an unusual Swami name, wore beads and silly colored clothing people assumed I gave up my mind to a guru and did whatever he said. Not true. They thought I gave up my will and would follow blindly anywhere. Not true.

The believed I gave all my money and worldly possessions to the ashram but I never gave a dime. No one ever asked either. Some times I tried to explain, when asked, but l learned most people concluded whatever they would conclude about me because of the clown suit.

My words didn’t mean much or make much impact anyway. If my explanation mattered it meant they would have to believe differently. I was stereotyped because that is what we as people do. It is convenient and we don’t have to think anything through.

Beliefs Run The Show: What We Believe Is What We See

It’s a no-brainer based on obvious characteristics. So I let them think what they wanted. I let go of attempting to change their opinions. Their opinions and name calling and actions against me had nothing to do with me. They were reacting to the clothing colors.

Sure, they were reacting to the person who wore them but they did so in ignorance of who the person was. That was their problem not mine. Yes, it could be dangerous for me at times, but I was learning so much about what we as people do inside our heads about others.

I developed some strong marvelous non-sannyasin friends too because they could see past the outfit. In some ways I wore it to see who was the type of person who could get around it in their mind. If they were able and were able to get to know me and I them then we could be very honest with each other.

I had some incredible girlfriends. I had amazing sannyasin friends and non-sannyasin friends. I moved in places where people could care less about what was worn and in other places where what you wore meant people wanted to beat you up.

Do Not Stop At The Obvious Be Willing To Go Beyond

It was an incredible exercise.  I learned so much about me. I learned so much about people and triggers and acceptance and hatred. I learned all this because I chose to do it. Did I tell you, I always knew I could take it off and slip back into the ‘normal’ world? Yes, I know I did but this is an important point.

OTHER people can’t take off their skin color or their gender. They live in their skin and in their body every moment of each and every day. Some encounter horrible cruelty and even death because of the family, the nation, the religion they were born into, not the least their color and ethnic heritage.

I could always remove it. Because I knew this made me want to wear it all the more. I got to experience a tiny taste of the prejudices and even violence directed at people because they are different. I was safe because I knew if I ever had to I could remove the outer wear and walk right through the haters. I never did but I could have.

Awareness Is A Choice

My clown suit was a luxury. A lesson few of us get to live and learn from. It was so valuable as a reminder to be aware and to let go and be meditative. If others hate you you do not have to hate back. You can, you may even, but you do not have to. You can choose.

I am so glad for my clown suit. The time came when the decision was made that people go and live among the rest. Drop the colors and the beads and the name. The ‘great exercise’ was over. Boy, that was hard. My clown suit was a tool for my awareness. If I wasn’t confronted moment to moment then what would happen?

Let me interrupt and make something perfectly clear. I don’t actually know what it is like to walk in another person’s shoes for even a single step. I got a taste of something from which came some realizations. What others face because of what they are born to can be unimaginable at times.

I only got a tiny, very tiny glimpse of a sliver of what some people must endure. I am not making any comparison. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn to be more accepting and to recognize choice points. For me, it was an incredible lesson and challenging exercise but so worth the years of doing it.

It was difficult to give it up but once I did I realized there are always buttons and triggers. It doesn’t matter. It seems we get to encounter ourselves no matter where we are. Alone or with others we are faced with who we are what kind of person we are.

Every Moment Is An Opportunity To Embrace

The world and others, even your own self is a great mirror being held up in front of you. What bothers us, gets us snagged up, frustrated, down and out, making excuses  and or being critical of ourself and others, blaming others, hating others, is a reflection and an opportunity.

We stare back at the other person who is reflecting us. Their behaviors mirror our own in some way. BUT we can choose. YES, it may be difficult but we can choose. We either reject it and fight it or them or we accept the lesson and let go of the anger and rejection.

It is a glimpse of oneself and one’s beliefs and conditioning. It is a look into what internal or external conflicts we may have. It is a little signal to get our attention so we can be aware, drop it, and go beyond it. It is benevolence disguised as pain.

Whether in red or blue clothes the world and its people provide opportunity to wake up. We can resist it or we can let go. We can love ourselves and everyone else through it all. We can find a higher road and not succumb to the lowest common denominator. We need to embrace all people because we are one people.

Seek The High Road

Love don’t hate. Be blind to differences that do not matter. Embrace yourself and embrace all those around you. Life is far to short for hate and discord. We need much more time to love and party. We can delight and celebrate and be grateful for all things. We should never stop at the obvious but seek to understand and embrace.

We are all far more similar than we are different. We are different mostly at the surface level. Some endure far more pain and suffering from hate and intolerance than anyone ever should. That is just wrong.

We need to embrace each other as the one species we are and seek love. Our differences make us richer and better. I have said for decades in seminars that what stops people is a thought. The notion ‘I can’t’ or ‘I am unable’ or ‘I won’t’ or ‘I refuse’ is what stops people from moving forward in positive ways.

Live Love Laugh Celebrate

I learned people stop at the most silly things. Color for one. Even color of clothing. WOW isn’t that an odd one? Type of hair, shape of eyes, size of nose, lips, dialect, gender you name it someone can make it an issue. They do literally stop. They do not seek to go beyond.

Going beyond requires being open. It requires acceptance of what is without judgement. We can use more of this, don’t you think? Focus on love not on hate. Don’t even hate the hate. Be love. Be kind. Be compassionate. Be acceptance.  Live, Love, Laugh and celebrate all. ” Rex Sikes

Do This If You Think Nothing Will Help You!

“Some people give up. They lose hope. They try many things but don’t seem to get results. They race around but produce little of what they want? I have done this. Have you? Some erroneously conclude that they are beyond help or that nothing works.

That is sad when people give up or lose faith in themselves. That is where the faith needs to be. It needs to be on the inside of us and not on outer things. We need to know that if we dedicate ourselves we can find away no matter how difficult it may seem.

It is always darkest before the dawn. Those who triumph often do over incalculable odds. Great victory seems to come only after great hardship. Those who expect it easy may be in for a surprise. Those who expect to win come closer than those who think they’ll lose.

Defeat Is Only Temporary Unless You Quit

Things worth having may be worth fighting for. Some people want it quick and easy. They believe the media advertising claims. ‘Works like magic. No effort necessary. It does the work for you!’ Because they put their faith in specious claims they end up disappointed.

Have you? I have. Has the Law Of Attraction worked for you? What about Positive Thinking? Has positive thinking worked for you? There is a lot of misunderstanding about what these two approaches are that need some clearing up. Let’s discuss briefly and simply.

The Law Of Attraction (LOA)  is based on the principle that like attracts like and that makes perfect sense. It is true that birds of a feather flock together. It’s premise is whatever you put out you get more back of the same.

Inside All Hardship Are Lessons And Opportunity 

This notion is central to planting seeds. When you plant A seed you get more of the same crop back multiplied. It makes perfect sense. One plants, waits and harvests. During the waiting period the seed is nourished. It must be nourished or it would die.

LOA is based on attraction. You attract everything whether good or bad. The universe, god, your subconscious, whatever description works for you, doesn’t care whether it is good for you or not. There is no judgement. You get what you focus on.

Another way to think about this is that the universe, god or your subconscious mind always, ONLY, says yes to you. If you think, ‘I am wealthy’ it says, ‘Yes!’ If you say, ‘I am broke’ it says ‘Yes!’ It agrees with whatever you state about yourself and your circumstances.

If your life sucks it is because you are somehow creating or attracting it with your thoughts. You are responsible for your results. Ask yourself what you are focused on? You’ll get more of the same. Many people don’t want to be held accountable, however.

If You Do Nothing You Get Nothing

The central tenant of Positive Thinking is that positive, optimistic thoughts are more productive or useful and beneficial than negative thoughts. If you want to win the race you need to think the thoughts of a winner. You can’t believe you will lose and win easily.

One must think the thoughts that bring about the most good. You don’t become rich thinking how poor you are. You don’t become healthy thinking how sick you are. At its core it says if you want health and wealth you should think health and wealth thoughts.

Combined with the LOA means the more positive thoughts you think the more positive thoughts you are likely to attract. The more negative thoughts you think the more negative you attract. So you are responsible for the results you get based on what you focus on.

It Is Better To Try And Fail Than To Never Try

Neither discipline has anything to do with pie in the sky, wishful or hopeful thinking. Unfortunately, sometimes they are presented that way. Both are reasonable disciplines with philosophy, science, brain science and more backing them up. These principles are ancient!

Some people say they have tried these and they gave up because they don’t work. Countless, others claim great benefit. Seems people get what they believe they will. Our expectations play a part in what we ultimately discover. This is very true!

Whether these work or don’t says nothing about the LOA or PT but speak volumes about the person. We shouldn’t evaluate a practice by someone else’s success of failure to use it well. When someone says they tried the questions are how well?

If You Want Life To Change You Will Have To Change Some Things

How hard?  How long? What does it mean you tried? Some people think if they read a book they tried it. Others actually do put it to use. We can verify whether something works or not based on others experience we can only verify it based on our own.

Most people I talk to, who have had difficulty, do not try very hard nor very long. OR should I say long enough. The may dabble intensely but still it is just dabbling. The pioneer people who made it from east to the west in the US endured great hardship.

Those who persisted until they arrived at the west coast succeeded. Those who settled along the way, settled. You win the race crossing the finish line. No one said that the LOA or PT was easy only that it was easier. This is an important point to keep in mind.

When The Going Gets Tough The Tough Get Going

Dedication and commitment, investment and persistence are meaningful qualities in making your dreams come true. If you dabble you might possibly succeed. If you are committed you might possibly fail to reach your goal by your deadline.

If you never give up you are more likely to hit the target eventually. You don’t stop attempting but you DO adjust how you are going about it. Being flexible and changing your plans or routes along the way is part of being a smart traveler. You adjust as necessary.

The bottom line is you aim high. You think the best. You know what you want and pursue what you want; you think about what you want. That aims you at your target. It makes hitting the target more likely. When playing darts you aim at the bullseye you want to hit.

You Get What You Focus On – You Become What You Think About

You don’t aim at what you don’t want to hit. You don’t think, ‘I don’t want to miss the target completely. I don’t want to hit these other rings or numbers.’ You don’t, do you? You think about what you want to hit. You focus in on it. You zero in on it. You exclude the rest.

When you think positive and optimistically you open your neurology up to possibilities and opportunity. You are more apt to see advantages and even learn from mistakes. You tend to attract like minded people. Your world gets a little bit better.

As you continue you make thinking positive a habit. As a result, because you are thinking positive and optimistically you become that which you think about. Life improves. The more you get the more you can get. Things get better and better.

You Are Today Where Your Thoughts Brought You

You progress. If challenges come your way you are better equipped to handle them. Because you make this way of thinking and feeling and being a lifestyle and a habit you are less likely to throw in the towel when going gets rough. Instead you persist. You evolve.

Ultimately, you reach you goal. You arrive at your destination. It may not have been always easy but it was easier. This is why you want to consider using the LOA and PT. Frankly, both already are in operation in your life. You can’t not use the them.

You can focus on the wrong things, however. Most of us do anyway. That is how we were brought up. SO we train our minds now to thing better by thinking more positively. We apply the principles and practice the approaches daily. It is a discipline. It requires rigor.

You Will Be Tomorrow Where Your Thoughts Take You

We can’t escape the effects of the LOA we can only use it to our advantage or not. If you don’t like the results you are getting what are you paying attention to? It’s a good guess you aren’t paying attention to all the positive, wonderful thoughts you could be.

It is more likely you are thinking about the circumstances and the problems, even trying to find a solution, but the issue looms larger in your mind. If your thoughts about bills and lack are more frequent than your thoughts about plenty and abundance that is an issue.

You get what you focus on. You become what you think about most during the day. Like attracts like, birds of a feather flock together. What you think about you bring about. If you hold it in your head you will someday hold it in your hand. Lack doesn’t result in wealth.

You Cannot Escape The Results Of Your Thoughts

The saying, ‘If it is to be it is up to me’ applies. There are practices that make LOA and PT more powerful and easier to apply. It isn’t that these are hard we just do things more wisely. This blog is designed to help you make your dreams come true.

PT is a discipline. Applying the principles within the LOA is a disciple. It isn’t magic. You don’t sit crosslegged hoping for things to land in your lap. Maybe they will, I’d stay open for it to happen that way, without betting on it. Instead I’d bet on myself to make it happen.

Design your life the way you want it to be and live it! Make it happen. Don’t give up until you arrive. If you are already there on the inside it makes getting there on the outside more quickly. As within so without. As above so below. Live your dreams now!

Whether You Think You Can Or You Can’t You Are Right

LOA and PT are marvelous tools. Marvelous organizing principles. Wonderful and powerful approaches. They may be the laws which govern the universe, but if not, they are pretty darn close. Don’t fight what is, have the present and future you always wanted.

Don’t give up. Learn to apply these. Don’t lose faith grow the faith. Put your faith on you. Bet on yourself to win. Be a winner. Become a champion. Focus on what you CAN DO and do it. Take positive steps each day toward what you want and you will make it happen.” Rex Sikes

You Can! The Question Is Will You?

Do you want to make good things happen? Do you want to live the life you always dreamed you could? Would you like to make all your goals and dreams become reality? You can! It is possible! BUT It is never a matter of ‘can you’. It IS ALWAYS possible!

It is a matter of WILL YOU. Will you do what is required to get what you want? The single common denominator of successful people is that they WILL DO what failures WON’T do. That is the critical difference. They do what others won’t. As a result they benefit!

To do what must be done YOU must believe in yourself FIRST. You must have an attitude and mindset that is positive and persistent. You become the kind of person who goes after and successfully accomplishes their dreams. That is the kind of person you are.

Will: Separates The Successful From The Unsuccessful

Then you do what you have to do to make it happen. You take action! You take the positive steps necessary to get what you want to have. The rule successful people already know is this: Be to DO to Have. Be, Do Have!

While you must be willing to take action to make it happen WHO and what you are is more important than what you do. Doing comes second. Having comes last. This is the difference between successful and non-successful people.

Those who struggle and strive attempt it backwards. They think if they struggle enough, work hard enough and DO the right things they will be able to get what the want to have and then become what they hope to become.

They think if they work hard they will get money or things and be happy or successful. It just never works this way. Except, maybe very rare cases. Someone wins the lottery for example. Sadly, most who do are broke again a few years later.

Who you are determines whether you act with integrity and positivity or not. Who you are determines whether you will keep going until you make accomplish it. Who you are determines what you do and what you have and keep as a result.

Quitters Never Win And Winners Never Quit

Attitude determines your altitude. You must believe in yourself and believe that you will do it. You must be a winner in mindset to win. That is how it works. You must have then mind of a champion then you become a champion. It never works the other way around.

You must know that you will prevail. You must know you will accomplish your goals. You need to know it is not only possible but imminent and expect it. Steel will is what separates those who have from those who do not have.

Doing comes after being. Focus on being the kind of person who makes dreams come true. Be the kind of person who is positive, powerful, dedicated, persistent, optimistic, generous, helpful and encouraging.

Who You Are Determines What You Do To Get What You Want

Be a happy, healthy, successful, good, compassionate person and you will go far. Don’t envy the success of others make your own! Celebrate, congratulate and be happy when others succeed. If you can be genuinely happy for them you will succeed faster.

Positivity will get you farther faster than negativity. You can make your dreams come true. It is absolutely possible! Will you? Will you do whatever positive things you need to in order to make it happen. Will you keep going and never give up until you make it?

Who are you and what are you made of? Are you a loser or winner? Are you a victim or victor? YOU DECIDE ! No one else can. Are you a champion, a conqueror, or an emperor? Who are you?  What kind of person are you?

It would be truly unfortunate if you never recognize your true self and your true abilities. Work on who you are. Discover who you are inside and what you can do? Fulfill your destiny. Make your dreams come true. You can. Will you? Will you do it?” Rex Sikes

Use This Key To Unlock The Door To Your Dreams & Desires

“What does believing mean? What does it mean to have faith? Why is this important when it comes to making your dreams come true? How does it apply to your career goals, being the person you want to be or having what you want to get in life?

In previous blog posts I’ve pointed out the necessity of maintaining a positive mindset and the importance of ‘Believe It And You Will See it’. This concept is how everything works but it is not the typical way most people think.

Most People Think When I See It Then I Will Believe It

This latter attitude keeps people in the dark because they focus on present circumstances. Their mindset works this way.  Only once they are convinced it can be otherwise, then AND only then, will they believe it can be otherwise. It is the reason things don’t work.

Instead of being focused on what they want and believing they can make it happen they are focused on what they don’t want waiting to be convinced somehow it will be different. So they remain the same. They get what they focus on. They get what they don’t want.

To be, do or have what you want you must focus on what you want to the exclusion of all else. You can not let yourself be distracted from what it is you want to make happen. You are the creator of it so create it. Believe you can do it and you will. Stay properly focused.

You Must Believe It First And Then You Will See It

Listen to stories of those people who reached the top in entertainment, in finance, in sports, whatever endeavor in life and you repeatedly hear stories that they KNEW they were destined to become a top player regardless of the obstacles.

They KNEW IT within them. They never lost faith.  Even when it appeared hopeless the kept going!  They worked in spite of the odds until they made it. This is how we need to believe. We need to EXPECT that it will happen. We need to KNOW we can accomplish it.

You can not wish or hope. You can not be half assed. You must be convinced that you will fulfill your greatest desire and you must passionately pursue it. You must persist in the pursuit until you have what you want. There is not alternative. You just do it!

You Must Ask Believing

Sure, you can hope, you can pray, you can think it is all about luck. That will not get you closer. Jesus said, ‘When you ask BELIEVE you will receive…’ so we can’t do less than that, can we? This is an important key concept. Believe it and you will see it!

We need to stop begging, whining and pleading. We need to command it into being. We need to declare what we want. We need to believe we will make it happen. We need to expect to get it.  Just as you do when you place an order in a restaurant.

Consider this analogy. You go into a restaurant. Hopefully, you are polite and I mean this. Waitstaff comes and says something similar to, ‘May I take your order?. You tell the person what you want they take it back to the cook. You wait after having placed YOUR order.

You Don’t Have To Muster Up Faith To Order Breakfast

You expect it to be delivered how you want it a little while later. You don’t sit there hoping and wishing and whining and complaining or fretting or worried or convinced it will never happen. You expect it to come the way you ordered it and you expect to get what you want.

With regard to the cook preparing it and it being delivered there are those who would liken that to the universe giving you what you want once you order is in. That is fine. I am not going there with this analogy at this time. I am only right now only addressing the ordering process and your faith in yourself.

While the waitstaff is gone you behave normally and concern yourself with reading or conversing or whatever you do. You occupy yourself because you know your food is coming. After all your order is in. After a while, it is served. You got what you ordered. You got what you wanted.

Know What You Want To Order

If you didn’t know what you wanted neither would anyone else. So the first important piece was to know what you want. When it comes to your dreams you need to know what you want and want it more than anything else.

You place your order. You declare what you will make happen.You stay focused on what you want to the exclusion of any evidence that tells you otherwise. You don’t let present circumstances distract you and you do not compare the wait time.

You don’t think, ‘I placed my order how long is this going to take’. Doing that keeps you focused on not having it yet. It keeps your attention on what you do not want. You have to have your focus on what you want. Your mind set needs to be right. You must believe.

Expect It – Know It 

You do not wish or hope.  You KNOW! You state it. You order it. You declare it! You command it! You demand it! You don’t dream it, you don’t pray or beg you ACCEPT it.

You Announce it. In fact, you don’t believe something is going to happen. Don’t put it off on someday in the future. You believe it has already happened! This is how you use your mind to create what you want. You see it as if it all already exists. It begins as an idea!

In your mind’s eye, visualize already having what you want. Imagine it fully as vividly as you are able. Full color, 3D, full sound with total feeling. Live it as though you have everything you want. FEEL IT. BASK in how good it feels. Imagine living in the house you will live in.

Stay Focused

Imagine working in the career you want successfully. Imagine a loving relationship. Imagine all your bills paid and enough money to do whatever you want when you want to. See people congratulating you and discussing your success.

Hear it! Hear people congratulate you. Hear what they say and what you say in return. Feel their handshakes and embraces. Feel how good it feels. Live the life you want to be living. It is the feelings combined with the images that place your order with your subconscious. Feel it fully.

Keep all your self-talk positive. Speak only to bless heal and prosper. Don’t speak about what you don’t want. Affirm what you want. Stay true to your pursuit. Stay focused, stay positive and powerful. Do not give your power away. Keep it an use it.

Once you put your order in with the waitstaff you don’t have to believe it will happen you KNOW it will happen. Treat life the same way. Expect good things. See them. Plan them in your mind’s eye.

Carry out the future in the present. Do not make it a when make it NOW! Make the future your current reality on the inside. What you focus on you get.  What you think you become.  Keep the faith!

Now Is The Only Time There Is

Live with an attitude of gratitude. Celebrate everything right now! Be focused on abundance not lack. Know you are making your dreams come true. The seeds are planted. The order is taken. Live as though you know it is yours. It is yours!

Own it! Declare it! Stop being a beggar. Stop fretting, hoping and worrying. Live as an emperor. YOU will make your dreams come true. Mind set is the very first and most important step to take.

Set aside time each day to imagine your life as you want it to be. Feel the very best you can as much as you can each day. Make feeling good and thinking positive a daily habit and your will be amazed at all the good things you starting creating and attracting.

Live positively! Live with passion. Live with enthusiasm! Feel the best you can moment to moment because it makes it all happen faster when you do. Be happy and enjoy all there is. Just like the others who knew they would succeed no matter what you can too! Do it!” Rex Sikes
