How You Can Learn New Things To Improve The Quality Of Your Life

“Are you are life long learner committed to be the best you can be? You can learn anything you put your mind to, Did you know that? Learning can be fun and easy. It can take you to places you would never have imagined yourself visiting.

Your ability to learn and keep learning can open up incredible new doorways for you. Learn and continue to learn. Evolve. Grow and make the most of your given talents and abilities.

You may not believe it yet, because many people have limiting beliefs about themselves as learners BECAUSE they went to school but you are already an exquisite learner.

You have learned so much in live. You have learned many wonderful and magnificent things. You have also learned many useless things. You have learned to have problems and disappointments too. You can learn how to overcome any of these.

Statistics tell us that 95% of what we learn in college is forgotten within 6 months of graduation! Only 5% is all that is retained of what you spent more than 4 years studying. 95% is forgotten.

How much did you spend on college… for that piece of paper? And if you went to a prestigious university it means you still forgot 95%, but you spent more money to do it.

Learn As A Child Learns Naturally NOT The Way They Educate In Schools

The most pitiful thing is when people think there is nothing new to learn. There is always something new! Every day is a rare and unprecedented opportunity to learn and to have fun. The key to learning anything really well is to do it the same way as when you were a small child.

You learned a thousand times faster back then – and it was a blast! If you are willing to play, to adventure, to explore like a child does – you can add to your learning in ways that might seem miraculous.

Children learn an incredible amount because they are open and unbiased. A child can play with a stick in total delight and all the while the child is learning – learning to move and to coordinate himself.

He can watch the same movie over and over and still shudder with delight, still shiver with fear, and laugh with abandon – even though he knows what is coming.

Children are learning machines until they are trained to behave like young adults and are confined to desks and told to act appropriately. While adults look for the pay-off, kids simply learn for the sheer pleasure it brings them.

As adults we need to recapture the sense of joy and adventure we had as children, to rekindle a sense of growing and contributing.

When I teach my programs I get everyone from pig farmers to top CEO’s and all types of other occupations because if it’s not about putting a bigger smile on your own face and if it isn’t about putting a bigger smile on the face of people around you, if it isn’t about having a better experience or a more vibrant experience, if it isn’t about enlivening yourself… than what is it for?

One idea can change the entire world. We need a better class of thinkers and innovators – juicier people with explosive curiosity and creativity. Fun loving people who can change the world. Seriousness is truly a disease.

We need giggles and shudders and risk takers. As Oliver Wendall Holmes said “A mind stretched to a new idea can never go back to its original dimension.” Love learning – learn for no reason at all except the sheer joy of it. Love seeking.

When I train, I present something I call the Mastery Loop™. Here it is.

Approach

What happens is that people first approach information. This is what I call the enlightenment stage. This is not the eastern concept of enlightenment and meditation, but this is where you are enlightened to a new idea. This is about approaching material and information.

People come to me and it’s new to them; people come to accounting it’s new to them – whatever it is… in school or the real world… you approach something for the first time. Something you didn’t know.

Bewilderment

After the approach, comes the bewilderment stage. You get a little bit of it and it becomes confusing. That’s because the “7-plus-or minus-two” conscious rational part of your brain is trying to understand the information, but it hasn’t yet assembled it in a way that is useful for you.

It’s trying to grasp it and make sense of it before it is ready to be put in order. However, if you stick with it, stay with it, and you are really learning the material, then shortly thereafter it will become clear.

What happens in college and formal schooling is that right before or right after it becomes clear, they give you a test. And if it hasn’t yet become clear, then you fail or get a low mark.

If you are poor at the mechanics of taking an exam, you can get a low mark that means you didn’t learn the material according to that institution.

Clear

God forbid you should be good at the mechanics of taking an exam because that means that you pass without having an understanding of the material at all. Lots of us got through school that way, didn’t we?

Then you go onto a new subject! “OK that’s done – NEXT.” That’s when you begin to get more of what I call “just information”, without behavioral competence.

When you do one of my programs what I do is skip the clear stage and go right to what I call the “mining for gold” or the drill stage. That means you approach the information, get bewildered and begin to practice or drill what it is you are learning.

You will actually get hands on practice so that it assists you in becoming more clear about what it is you are learning.

Drill

You do exercises to actually wire in the behaviors you are learning, you get to look at eye accessing cues and practice language patterns, and do anchoring with the others in the room so that you have the experience of doing it.

What is valuable about this is that you do the exercises during the workshop time.

After you have drilled and practiced thoroughly, then you enact the material. I have a saying that the workshop begins when the breaks begin. That is your golden opportunity to remember to use what you have been absorbing during class practice time.

When you enact the material, you use it in your daily life, refine it, and use it during real life situations.

Enact

When you take these skills into your daily life, then they begin to fuse – they become a part of your everyday behavior; you integrate them. This is where it becomes habitual.

You develop “unconscious competence” (like riding a bike) and have them as part of your behavioral repertoire for the rest of your life.

This is where it become so much a part of your behavior that you find yourself using the skills without always having to think about it. This is when you have truly integrated it.

Fuse

As it fuses, it becomes a part of your everyday life. This is at the point where you will become creative with the material. This is where you will use it in ways that you or I could never imagine.

It is at this point you begin to discover your personal genius with the material.

You will find applications for it, design new things and make your life really a party. This is when you look at a problem, and instead of going “this is going to be a difficult problem”, you go “this is going to be a real piece of cake”.

Genius

The appropriate behavior is insatiable curiosity. To continue to learn, grow and evolve… not stop at quick fix techniques… but to evolve and become more compassionate and joyful and wondrous.

In other words, to make life a celebration and not just put a Band-Aid on an oweee. Remember exploration is the doorway to adventure!

What I am asking you – and this is a request – is how much fun can you have, how much curiosity can you have, how much wanton desire and passion can you bring to having a good time?

Because if you can do it here and now, regardless of challenges thrown your way, you can do it anywhere.

Exercises For Making Learning Fun And Having Novel Experiences

Take a walk somewhere you always go except this time walk as though it is totally new. Pretend you are an anthropologist doing an ethnographic study, making it elusive and bewildering.

See what you notice that you didn’t before.

Ask yourself questions you might never ask about obvious things. Then just be silent while you walk and look without internal dialogue.

Slow down your gait or speed it up to notice what you have missed before. Smell the smells you may not have noticed.

Do the same thing with driving home or riding a bus. See if you can open your powers of observation to take in more than you ever realized was there before. Venture into new realms. Take a different route to work.

Open Your Powers Of Observation

Do something now, do anything now that’s different. It may seem uncomfortable at first, but realize you are interrupting patterns and causing your mind to be stretched in delightful ways.

Go back and enjoy a children’s book you once read. Go back and review.

Listen to the same CD over and over – only each time pay attention to a different instrument – how do they intermingle, compliment each other, support each other, what are they accomplishing together?

Try tasting your food in new ways. Tiny bits, savor each morsel, really chew it thirty-two times. Discover how you can delight your senses.

Pay Attention To Your Senses

Take a luxurious bath, uses different scents, candles. Anything that enlivens you and makes you feel better.

Read a novel you normally wouldn’t read. Get a biography of someone you never felt interested in. Talk to someone repulsive and take their point of view temporarily.

Step inside them and see if you can imagine how it would be that they would hold views contrary to your own. You don’t have to keep them! Just try them on to get a different perspective from your own.

Try Things You Have Never Done Before

Do something you would absolutely never do (keep it legal and safe!). Go beyond your own limits. Push yourself, but do so with a sense of adventure, joy, fun, harmony, health and well being.

Watch the same movie a dozen times. Each time approach it fresh and new. You will learn something. When I was younger in California working in the motion picture business, I would go to the same movie 4,5, 10 times.

First, I would just watch it. If I got hooked into it emotionally, I considered it a good picture. Then I would go back and watch for the way the director constructed it all.

Then I would see it again to concentrate only on the writing, then the acting, then the cinematography and production values. Each time, I came away with something I hadn’t noticed before.

With new intent, I noticed new things. By asking myself different questions, or causing my mind to look in a new direction I noticed more and more nuances than I could have ever imagined.

Repetition Is The Way You Learn And Create Habits

Think about it – two people go to the same movie and one loves it another hates it. Are they really talking about the movie? No. They are sharing with you what they paid attention to.

They are letting you know how their mind works.

No movie is universally good or bad, there are things about it one likes while another may not. Of course the more sophisticated knowledge someone has about what they are discussing, or the more nuances, perhaps the better to make assessment, but it is still only an opinion.

This is why recapturing the joy of learning, reading, listening to tapes, attending seminars, going for walks, playing with children, is so vital because it enriches an individual and enables one to pay attention to nuances.

Immerse yourself. If you learn just one new concept or idea – it can be monumental. You can become more creative… you can begin to open doors that you didn’t even know existed.

Capture The Joy Of Learning As A Child Does

Discover if – by trying some of these things – you can’t enliven yourself to all the opportunities around you you could be missing out on. Find out if you can do better in business.

Make change more dynamic for yourself and clients. Spice up your relationships with more passion and ecstasy, have more intimate times with your children.

Fun-loving, exciting people can change the world. With so much in the news that could discourage us, we need to become beacons, lights that glow in the night that show the rest of the world that we can be more alive, more in love, have greater well being and riches, use our brain power more efficiently and most importantly – live joyously.

Perhaps if we were all just a little more joyous even in the face of adversity, we will make the world a better more wondrous place.

Because the truth is, the world is already a wondrous place. The sad part is that too many people miss it. Recapture the awe struck wonder of a child in whatever you do. Bring this spirit to all of your learning and all of your endeavors and you will soar as never before.

You will reach untold heights when you break old patterns and habits that have prevented you from being open to new experience.

Every Moment Is New Every Moment Is An Opportunity

Too often we have belittled a learning or an experience with ‘Well that’s just X’ or we say ‘There is nothing new in that.’ Yet every moment is new, even an old hand me down cloth is new to someone.

Often times rare and priceless antiques were discovered by people who knew what to look for when others had considered it only junk.

Sometimes subtly and layers hides the core of its value and only to the eye of a trained observer will one begin to notice what is really going on, or what the real value is. To the child, it doesn’t matter. It is all wonderful even if it seems old to us.

My nephew Michael, when he was three, had completed watching Beauty and the Beast once a day, sometimes twice, since it came out on video. That was somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 – 70 times! He would watch it and delight every time he did.

Love Exploring Love Adventuring Love Seeking New Ways To Enjoy

Go out and live life and expect to have fun, expect to learn, and find out what you discover. Find out how you can have a ton of fun. See if you can put the pedal to the metal and really play.

Learn, incorporate and integrate the skills that you already have.

A very wise person once said, “you can light a million candles off just one”… but your candle has to be lit first. If you light up, if we light up all of our candles while we’re together here, then we can spread a conspiracy of ecstasy.

Commit to learning. It will keep you younger and healthier. Commit to learning. Learn to be happy. Learn to be positive. Learn to direct your mind. Learn to take control.

There Is Only One, Big Reason You Don’t Have What You Want!

“Most people desire things. What do you want? Do you want any of the following? You want the perfect career;  success;  a fine home; a loving, lasting relationship; that special car; jewelry and many other things. You want to travel, eat in fine restaurants and have lots of cash. You want to be out of debt and able to afford anything you want. What is it?

You want things but you don’t have them. Something holds you back.  There is ONE, single, big reason why you do not have exactly what you want, yet. It is important that you understand this.

The ONLY Reason You Don’t Have What You Want YET Is Because

YOU don’t see yourself with it!

You see yourself without it. You imagine not having it. You may imagine wanting it but inside your mind and heart you don’t have it. You see yourself without it. It is not an inner reality for you.

In order to have it

YOU must FIRST

See yourself WITH it.

I repeat:

You Must See Yourself With It In Order To Have It

If you don’t construct it first in the theater of your mind you won’t have it in your life. The outer reality comes from the inner reality and not the other way around. This is what you and most everyone of us miss. Thought precedes action! See it and you can have it!

The brain can’t go after what it doesn’t see or know it wants. You must inform it. You must tell it. You must teach it. The way you do that is to SHOW IT! The brain only responds to pictures and feelings that are intense and in present tense. You must see yourself having it NOW not some day. NOW!

You must see yourself ALREADY having it. You must see yourself as already in possession of that which you want. You must see yourself being it, doing it, having it, enjoying it. You must imagine life ‘as if’ you are already living that future reality and FEEL these feelings.

This is how you program your mind to go after what you want!

Visualization Should Always Be In The Present

Take the future out of your visualization. It must not be ‘some day I will have this’.

It must be ‘I AM this’.

Don’t think, affirm or visualize ‘I will be happy’ or ‘I will be rich’. Think and see ‘I am happy’. I am rich’.

You must use I AM or I HAVE to put your wants into the present tense. Whatever follows the words I AM or I HAVE is crucial. It must be stated in the positive. You must say ‘I AM Rich’ and  not ‘I am not poor’.

It must be deliberate and specific. See it, hear it, feel it, taste it, smell it. Imagine how good it feels in full, vibrant color. In 3 dimensions. Wonderful movies with complete sound and marvelous feelings.

Visualize Having It – Enjoy It – FEEL The Wonderful Feelings

Visualize why you want it. Imagine the reasons. Imagine the benefits you have from being, doing or having this. You’ll have peace of mind, enjoyment, love, happiness, confidence, etc. Enjoy all the benefits and all the incredible feelings right this instant as you visualize.

Do not worry about how you get it. Le go of the ‘how’ it happens. It is not your concern. You job is What and Why. How will take care of itself in time. The Wright Brothers did not know, prior to their first successful flight, how to fly. You won’t know how at first either.

You will discover soon enough the how and the plans becoming available to you as you keep what you want to have in your mind’s eye. This is where faith and trust in your inner resourcefulness comes in.

Trust that your mind will deliver the plan as you go along. Never be concerned with how only with the what and why. Give it over to god, or the universe or your unconscious processes while you focus on what and why. Do not get caught up in how – it won’t help you get it!

To help you make it most vivid describe what you want in your mind. Hand write it out on paper. Choose your words to help you visualize with more detail and realistically. Use powerful adjectives that make your description not only more vivid and realistic but delightful and wonderful.

Make mental movies of what you are doing, who you are with, where you are and fill in all the details. See yourself in the movie being what you want to be, doing what you want to do and having what you want to have. See yourself WITH IT! Right NOW!!!

In Order To Have It See Yourself In Possession Of It

Whether that ‘it’ is confidence, or a car IMAGINE what it is like to be it and own it. Feel it! Wrap yourself in the feelings. Bask in the feelings.

The most important part of this visualization process is to feel as though you already have it AND delight in the incredible feelings. Feel the gratitude and appreciation you’d have.

For example AND I use this only as an example. I do not recommend this playing the lottery.

If you imagined you won the lottery how would you REALLY feel if you looked in your hands and saw the winning ticket and knew that money was now going to be yours?

Believe It – Have Faith – Expect It – Because It Is Already Yours

How would you feel to take the ticket and have it verified that you indeed won. After that, it is only a matter of time until they cut you the check. You have won.

How do you feel knowing that money is yours? Even though you don’t have it in your hands it is designated to you. It is your money and it is coming sometime soon. HOW DO YOU FEEL? WHAT DO YOU FEEL?

I’m gonna bet you probably are feeling pretty fantastic! Am I correct?

Consider this: Nothing in your actual, present time, real life experience, has changed. From the moment your winning numbers are called to when you get the check nothing is different in your circumstances.

BUT your head is different. Your awareness has changed. You know it is your money. You know it is coming. You won it. You now have all this money headed your way.

BUT nothing has changed in your outer circumstances. Any challenges you had are still there. The people in your life, the house you are in, everything is still the same. Yet, you have changed on the inside. You feel and see another reality.

It is those feelings that make the difference! The feelings of already having. The feelings of knowing it is yours! You expect the money. You know it is yours. You believe it.

You Change First On The Inside Then Circumstances Follow

This is the kind of knowing that is important. This is what is meant when we say, Believe it and you will see it! Expect it.  When you have these powerful feelings of expectation that this GOOD is yours, even though circumstances haven’t changed, you and your life are transformed.

Another powerful way to imagine is to include moments when you can you live it and view it through your own eyes. For example, one way is seeing yourself in the car you want to own. Watch yourself get into it and drive and notice how good you look behind the wheel.

The other way is to put yourself in the driver’s seat and look out through the windshield, over your hands on the steering wheel. Feel the comfort of the seat. Feel your hands on the wheel and the sensation of driving the car. In other words, imagine exactly what it feels like to be driving the car.

In the first version you watch yourself drive the car and you notice how good it feels to see yourself do this. In the second version you feel exactly what it is like to be driving the car. You see what you see, and hear what you hear and feel what you feel as you drive along.

Program Your Mind – Visualize  Daily – Make It A Habit

You see what you see from your point of view inside the car. You hear through your ears the sounds of the auto and the roadway. You also hear your inner self-talk and what you say to yourself.

You enjoy the feelings in your body, your emotions and the sensations of driving this car on the road. You can notice what the new car smells like. Experience it as fully as you can.

Repeat this daily and often. See it, claim it, affirm it as already yours and you will make it happen. You become what you think about. You get what you focus on. What you think about you bring about. Spend time doing this each day and you program your mind to get what you want. You literally impress what you want onto and into the subconscious mind.

Know that this or something better is yours. Let go of how. Simply enjoy it. Feel it fully and feel how exciting it is. Visualize before you go to bed and when you arise in the morning. Set you night and your morning mind in positive ways. Remember, you get what you focus on. In order to have it you must first see yourself with it.

What you imagine in you head you can hold in your hand. This is how you begin to make your dreams a reality. First you create the inner reality and that becomes the outer reality. It has always worked this way. Everything that humans have ever made first began as an idea. It begins within your mind. Stop living without what you want and start making it happen.” Rex Sikes

“Many people aren’t aware of what holds them back. Are you? Yes, some can point to things that keep them stuck, and think, ‘if only this weren’t the case then I’d be better off’ and they may be correct. You could also be missing it by a long shot. Do you know why? Do you know what the number one predictor or ingredient for success is?

By success I mean over all well-being, happiness and enjoyment or satisfaction with life. I mean good health, career success, family and relationships, owning the possessions you want. I mean being able to be, do and have anything you want when you want it. Success can be part of anything it doesn’t have to just mean dollars and fame.

Are Hidden Assumptions Driving You

In my last post I shared with you this story of Houdini. I repeat it here for those who may not have read it yet. If you did read it GO ahead and re-read it again. Some things are worth re-visiting and repeating. I made some additions to it too.

Houdini, is the world’s greatest showman and most re-known escape artist. He is still remembered almost 100 years after his death for his amazing feats. Houdini traveled, during the days of vaudeville, to different towns and cities performing feats of daring, escape and magic.

In order to get people to his nightly shows he would do stunts during the noon hour. Sometimes, it was his famous suspended straight jacket escape. Other times it was to challenge the local police departments to lock him up inside a jail cell, naked and heavily chained and handcuffed.  He would always escape,

He recounted a time when he was cuffed, chained and imprisoned. Being a master locksmith and lock picker he gained access to his hidden pick and went to work on the locks. Freeing himself from the cuffs and chains he tried the door. Nothing. He could not get the mechanism to turn over. He continued. He tried and he tried!

What normally took minutes, was taking more time. An hour passed and he feverishly worked trying to open the lock. Normally, he was out in minutes, dressed and presenting his ‘miracle’ escape to the police and the press who stood by waiting. Houdini had never previously been defeated. ONE defeat could mean his whole career!

Mental Training Gives You The Edge

Another half hour passed. He was beginning to panic. His training however, included keeping calm under pressure. More than having a trained body having a trained mind was crucial in his business. He placed himself in jeopardy and could not risk having a mind that did not remain calm and methodical in crises situations. He was tired, sweating, nearly defeated.

He leaned back against the door for rest, exhausted and it swung open. He stood transfixed. There in front of him was an open door. It had never been locked! In this one time, with all the commotion restraining him in cuffs and chains and the press noting every moment, the police forgot to lock the door. No one noticed the mistake. NOT even Houdini!

He spent over 90 minutes wondering why he could not get the tumblers to turnover. He spent 90 minutes with his career most likely flashing before his eyes. He spent 90 minutes IMPRISONED in a jail cell when he was actually a free man. The fact that the door was not locked was LOST on him. For all practical intents and purposes he was a prisoner.

Had he not accidentally leaned against the door he would have never known. In this case, he walked out opened the cell containing his clothes got dressed and strolled out having defeated the police as he always had in other cities. He could rightly inform them that this jail cell had been his most challenging ever!

Become Aware So You Can Claim What You Want

We are already free! Unless we claim it and act on it we will act as a prisoner of our past. We will act as a prisoner of our present circumstances. The time comes for each of us to open the door on our lives and walk through it a champion.

He was free but didn’t know it. He missed that and might have given up. He was fortunate in this case, but luck wasn’t something Houdini could rely on. He had to rely on his mental and physical preparation AND take advantage of opportunity when it presented itself.

Keep in mind Houdini was trained to escape. He spent years conditioning his mind and body to serve him in harrowing and dangerous times. He dedicated his life to his training of himself. He challenged himself continuously. He challenged the world to constrain him, to lock him up, in something he could not escape from.

He knew that in order to perform and to succeed he had to think right first. He understood the steps to success. Proper thinking and physical conditioning is what gave him the edge. It was why he always triumphed. Proper thinking and condition is why he became successful. Houdini was persistent. He knew he would always make it and he never gave up.

Free Yourself From The Past

We can do similarly. We can train our minds to serve us to deliver to us the kind of life experience we want. We can condition ourselves to be successful prior to any success or happiness showing up. We can make it through tough times and easy times when we take charge of our thinking process and make it work for us.

There is NO need to live as a prisoner to the past. The past has no actual connection to the present or the future except what we assign to it. We live from stories and scripts we have been told and we tell ourselves. There is no need to live as a prisoner of circumstances. Circumstances need not dictate to us how life will be. We should be determining that!

Houdini expected the door to be lock. It always had been. That was the point to escape from a locked cell. His expectations governed his behaviors. Since the door was locked he had to get the lock open. He used his tools, his know how or expertise and he went to work. It was frustrating work unlocking this door.

You Can Overcome Difficult Present Circumstances

He continued to try. He tried and tried. It never occurred to him to TRY the door! It of course, was locked. Even though it wasn’t he ASSUMED it was. His mind set, his expectations determined his course of action. It determined his thoughts. He must have been very frustrated and confused trying to get the lock open and not having any success. He did this countless times before.

Still, he never thought to try the door to see if it was open. I bet he did after this experience. So he toiled. As I stated, though methodical and with a highly trained mind  to remain calm in dangerous and trying circumstances, I bet he began to imagine the headlines reading ‘Houdini Defeated’.

It most likely made him work harder and be more frustrated or scared. Still, he could not let it get to him or distract him from getting the lock open. I bet he probably worked all the harder on that ‘damned locked door’ because he never thought it wasn’t locked at all. He was for all practical intents and purposes a prisoner ONLY because of his mind. He operated from his assumptions.

Expectations Form Your Prison Or Your Liberation

His expectations led him to believe, because of past circumstances, that he was a prisoner and locked in. I don’t know that I would have challenged those assumptions either. He may have even confabulated.  He may have, made up, and remembered that they DID lock the door, when the reality was otherwise. He lived from this version of reality.

He was locked in and he must get the lock open or his career is over. His situation illustrates what we mean by Believing is Seeing. BELIEVING IS Seeing! Erroneously, many people thing it is the other way around but it isn’t.

People think they will believe something once they see it. They wait for proof. In actuality we only see the things we ALREADY believe. The rest tends to be filtered out. We miss it. It is not inside our awareness. We see only what we already believe. We live from the reality we imagine just as Houdini’s example demonstrates.

Because our beliefs and expectations are mental filters they act like blinders. We can only be aware of what we expect to be aware of. Most of us don’t realize this so we act as if it were otherwise. This issue alone is much of the cause of our misunderstanding, our okay acceptance of lack luster living and of our suffering.

Historically, people have imprisoned and punished others because they believed them guilty. They looked at whatever evidence was compiled for and against, made a decision and carried out actions because they BELIEVED they were acting correctly. Sometimes they did. Other times they made horrible mistakes and punished the innocent.

Believing Is Seeing

We have gone to war because we believed it was necessary. Perhaps we were correct in some cases or perhaps there were alternatives we didn’t notice BECAUSE we didn’t know alternatives existed. We were blinded by what we believed was the right thing to do. We didn’t know that other ways existed hence we couldn’t and didn’t entertain them.

We act from the limitations of our expectations as well as from the heights of our expectations. If we expect to find difficulty we will. If we expect it to be easy, we will. Even, while it may be tough, we may actually find it easier than if we think it difficult. Our mind set paves the way for us.

If we expect to be successful and happy these expectations organize our perceptions, our thoughts, our feelings and behaviors. Everything originates from the mind set we hold. Expectations, our beliefs and attitudes, set the frame from which we operate. They govern what we see and find in the real world and what we do and how we behave.

Have you every proved yourself correct in this next example. You look for an item, perhaps your keys, and you can’t find them. You exclaim to yourself or others, ‘I can’t find them. I have no idea where they are’. Then someone hands them to you stating, ‘they are right here.’ To your amazement you discover that they were right there in front of you the entire time but you missed them.

If It Is Possible Or Not Is Up To You

You couldn’t find them because in your mind you kept thinking ‘I don’t know where they are’ or some equivalent thought. I certainly, have done this many times. Our expectations, our beliefs set the framework. They govern what we notice and what we don’t. We operate from these thoughts. These thoughts determine our successes.

Whether we believe something is possible or impossible dictates how much we will try. The issue for us to recognize is, just like Houdini, we may be operating from assumptions and expectations that do not serve us in every situation. We may think we can’t do something when in fact we are very capable of doing it.

Henry Ford stated, “Whether you think you can or you think you can’t you are right.’ This topic is an important one for our consideration. What do you let stop you? Is it real or imagined?

Attitude Is Everything! Attitude Determines Your Altitude 

Even if you say it is real – is it? Houdini thought he was operating from accurate information on real world circumstances. What if you are wrong and you can do it successfully? What if you can do it but you don’t do it because you don’t believe you can? That would suck, wouldn’t it?  How much might you miss out on because of your beliefs?

This is why feeling successful and happy precede being successful and happy. Mindset determines what we find, and what we do. This is why the aphorism ‘Attitude is everything!’ is so important. It shapes and governs how we move in the world, what we do, what we create and make happen. It governs what we attract.

We can alter or change our mindset. THAT is great news. We can make changes. We can take control. We can dictate and chose what we will think and feel most of the day. We can expand our awareness to include more opportunity, advantages and good times. We can make a world of difference for ourself when we take charge and seek to become aware. Think positive and keep evolving!” Rex Sikes

Learn What The Greatest Showman Of All Time Discovered That Can Make An Incredible Difference For You!

“Sometimes what is obvious is what we miss noticing the most. We are blind to what stares us right in the face. We simply miss it. We cannot see the forest for the trees. We are oblivious to the elephant in the room. What if what we miss noticing were to make a critical difference in terms of our success and happiness?

If you are a regular reader of my blog, perhaps, you will recall that I wrote how I changed my life. There was a time when I decided to focus my attention on creating what I wanted instead of what I didn’t want. I was, as are many people, perhaps most people, really, really great at creating what I didn’t want.

You may recall that I have pointed out that the goal is not to be 100% positive and never have a negative thought. That wouldn’t be human. Most likely, it wouldn’t be.. The goal is to feel the best and think the best we are able to most of the time. We should spend far more time feeling wonderful than not.

Use Negative Thoughts And Feelings To Clarify What You Want

Negative thoughts and feelings inform us. They become useful in helping us get clear about what we do want. They notify us when we are off track. Frequently, it is because something is negative that a person will make life long changes. Too often, it is because things have gotten so bad there is no other realistic choice to make.

The knack is to not get caught in a negative spiral down but to recognize the signals and make use of them. The art is in not blaming or criticizing oneself (or others) when one thinks, feels or behaves in a less than glorious fashion. If your actions hurt others then you should be responsible, make amends and commit to not doing or hurting them again. The same applies when you hurt yourself.

So it isn’ that we are never negative  but that we use the negativity to become more positive. Life may always present obstacles and challenges. Something that can help you when it gets tough is your own personal metaphor or explanation for what is occurring. For some people this is a god of salvation. For others, it may be another god from another religion.

Use Your Personal Metaphor

It may be that god is within you. It may be the universe, the matrix, the divine mother. It may be anything you call it. I call it your mind set and attitude. I am not writing to have you believe one way or another about who or what runs the show OTHER than you. That is not my place.

What I think may or may not be ultimately the explanation. Still, it works for me. My version may, or may not, work for you. I do think that whatever you believe can work powerfully. Personally, I like scripture from all religions. I even like trite aphorisms and sayings that help us remember to stay on track.

I love simplistic notions such as, ‘when life gives you lemons make lemonade’. It tells you precisely what to do. Yes, it is analogous to how we chose to view things and that there can be a positive action. It is simple and to the point. I like things like Psalm 23 ‘the lord is my shepherd I shall not want…’

Again, I don’t care whether the ‘shepherd’ is a real personal god, or a matrix. I like the mind set behind ‘everything is taken care of, my needs are taken care of, there is plenty, there is calm, there is power, I shall rest and I shall prevail. I believe anything can be a positive and useful reminder.

Use Aphorisms To Guide You

The key, as I see it, is to take control of the muscle between your ears and exercise it positively so that it works on or in your behalf. Your mind, our minds, do whatever they do. They run wild or the run on programming provided by other people, previously, and they do so habitually. Chronically. Whether we like it or not.

All your brain, your subconscious mind can do is say ‘yes’ to whatever orders are given it. Consciously, you can oppose but the subconscious mind runs the show. You know the analogy. The subconscious is the part of the ice berg we never get to see.

The conscious mind is the tip. So the conscious mind can articulate the instructions but the subconscious is the mechanism that carries these out. It will carry out whatever it is programmed to do. Most of our programming involves thoughts and strong emotions.

As a child you got caught doing something and felt bad. You felt negative and people said, ‘you were up to no good’. You personalized this to mean you were no good. You felt guilty, down, and blamed yourself. Since then, you relieve these feelings and thoughts consciously from time to time.

Use Your Brain – Control Your Thinking

They may continue to still influence your thoughts, feelings and behaviors outside of your awareness. These may be part of your self-image. It could also be that you have already resolved it and do not let it influence you. Perhaps, you learned from it and moved on.

It is a simplistic example, yes. Still, sometimes things are that simplistic and sometimes they are more involved.

The point is whatever, or however, or whenever or why ever we have limiting thoughts and beliefs, negative feelings and programming that causes us to think, be, feel or do less than glorious things, we can take charge, take control and change it for the better. We can make lemonade!

We do not have to be a victim to our past circumstances or our past conditioning. We can actually become free of it. In fact, I would argue, we are free of it, we just don’t know that so we act as if we are not. There is the story about Houdini, the world’s greatest showman and most re-known escape artist. Houdini would travel, during the days of vaudeville, to different towns and cities.

Stop Being A Victim

In order to get people to his nightly shows he would do stunts during the noon hour. Sometimes it was his famous suspended straight jacket escape. Other times it was to challenge the local police departments to lock him up inside a jail cell, naked and heavily chained and handcuffed.  He would always escape,

He recounted a time when he was cuffed, chained and imprisoned. Being a master locksmith and lock picker he gained access to his hidden pick and went to work on the locks. Freeing himself from the cuffs and chains he tried the door. Nothing. He could not get the mechanism to turn over. He continued. He tried and he tried!

What normally took minutes, was taking more time. An hour passed and he feverishly worked trying to open the lock. Normally, he was out in minutes, dressed and presenting his ‘miracle’ escape to the police and the press who stood by waiting. Houdini had never previously been defeated. ONE defeat could mean his whole career!

Another half hour passed. He was beginning to panic. His training however, included keeping calm under pressure. More than having a trained body having a trained mind was crucial in his business. He took risks and could not risk having a mind that did not remain calm and methodical in crises situations. He was tired, sweating, nearly defeated.

Exploration Is The Doorway To Adventure

He leaned back against the door for rest, exhausted and it swung open. He stood transfixed. There in front of him was an open door. It had never been locked! In this one time, with all the commotion restraining him in cuffs and chains and the press noting every moment, the police forgot to lock the door. No one noticed the mistake. NOT even Houdini!

He spent over 90 minutes wondering why he could not get the tumblers to turnover. He spent 90 minutes with his career most likely flashing before his eyes. He spent 90 minutes IMPRISONED in a jail cell when he was actually a free man. The fact that the door was not locked was LOST on him. For all practical intents and purposes he was a prisoner.

Had he not accidentally leaned against the door he would have never known. In this case, he walked out. Opened the cell with his clothes got dressed and strolled out having defeated the police as he always had in other cities. He could rightly inform them that this jail cell had been his most challenging ever!

We are already free! Unless we claim it and act on it we will act as a prisoner of our past. The time comes for each of us to open the door on our lives and walk through it a champion. Keep in mind Houdini was trained to escape. He spent years conditioning his mind and body to serve him in harrowing and dangerous times.

Awareness Is The Key To Change

We can do similarly. We can train our minds to serve us to deliver to us the kind of life experience we want. We can condition ourselves to be successful prior to any success or happiness showing up. We can make it through tough times and easy times when we take charge of our thinking process and make it work for us.

There is NO need to live as a prisoner to the past. There is no need to live as a prisoner of circumstances. The past has no actual connection to the present or the future except what we assign to it. We live from stories and scripts we have been told and we tell ourselves.

It is time to do some re-writing. Chose the happy ending first and reverse engineer it. Imagine the life you want to live and live it in your mind. Fill it with happiness, success, positive relationships and possessions; whatever you want. Enjoy the feelings of living as you want to and as you deserve to. Dream big. Enjoy it. Celebrate making it happen!

Spend time dreaming like this each day. Remember, we become what we think about. Thought precedes action. We program our subconscious mind through our thoughts and images accompanied by strong and powerful feelings or emotions. Dream your life and you will someday live your dreams. We get what we focus on.

Stop being distracted by circumstances. Just because things are tough doesn’t mean you can’t have the life you want. Do not let present or past difficulty distract or dissuade you from making your life the way you want it. Commit to it. Train your mind to see the good in everything and everyone. Train your mind to find opportunity and possibility and advantages everywhere you look.

Train your mind to find the positive and think positive thoughts most of the time. Stop blaming or criticizing yourself and others and accept that there will be tough times. You may even feel like giving up sometime. Don’t you dare! Keep going. Stay committed and be flexible. Adjust the plans but keep the dreams. Make lemonade!” Rex Sikes

If You Aren’t Doing This: It’s No Wonder You Aren’t Getting What You Want!

“Do you want more from life? Do you want more happiness, a better career, greater health? Would you like greater love and satisfaction in your relationships, a nicer home, more wealth? Are there things you want more of?

Is there anything you’d like to do, play piano, learn to knit, play soccer, vacation over seas? Would you like to be different in any way? Would you like to smile more, feel more confident, express joy easily, get better sleep at night, laugh outrageously, feel contented or deliriously happy?

Anything You Can Imagine Can Be Yours

Anything you can think of wanting and desiring could be yours. Did you know that? There is a secret to getting it more easily than you might imagine. I promise you if you faithfully engage this secret you will be pleasantly surprised. Would you like to know what it is?

Look at everything in your life and validate what you already have. No matter how small or large. If you have a want a new car for example, appreciate what you have now. Whether it is your two feet, a bike, a motorcycle, a car or even a crappy vehicle.  Love it and appreciate it.

When you can look at whatever it is you presently have with loving eyes, when you can value it and appreciate it then you open yourself up to the upgrade. When you are truly grateful and feel it genuinely then like does attract like. Birds of a feather flock together.

Feel Truly Grateful

When you are desperate or in need, when you disavow or dislike your present circumstances you attract more of what you do not want and do not like. You keep your situation the same or make it worse. You get what you focus on.

Your subconscious mind gets the messages you send it. What you see in your mind and speak with your mouth accompanied by strong feeling repeatedly makes an impression on the subconscious. Your subconscious only says ‘yes’ to whatever messages it receives. If it receives the message ‘this is crap’ it says, ‘yes it is and here is more’.

If it receives a message ‘this is wonderful’ it says, ‘yes it is and here is more’. It doesn’t care, discriminate or judge. It is merely a servant that gets you whatever you strongly focus on. So if life sucks and circumstances are not to your liking YOU are the only one who can change that.

AND you can change that! Change your focus and your feelings. Start loving and appreciating yourself. When you love someone you speak thoughtfully, kindly and nicely to them. Monitor your thoughts and self talk and treat yourself lovingly and well.

Love Yourself!

You want your lover to feel the best so you do things to make them feel this way. Do the same for yourself. Love yourself! Treat yourself with respect, care, kindness, and gentleness. Take care of yourself, nurture yourself. Give to yourself.

Smile, laugh enjoy life more. Feel your best and when you do everything begins to change. Feel good more often. Appreciate everything about you. Look for silver linings. Frame everything positively.

Speak only to bless, heal and prosper. Be grateful and express your gratitude. Imagine how wonderful everything already is and how wonderful it will be too. Feel this fully. What you think about you bring about!

Look for options instead of obstacles. Stop whining and complaining. No pity party for you.  Don’t think times are tough. Appreciate! See the present as abundant. Whatever you have at least you have that! Validate it and appreciate it and you can get more of it.

Feeling Wonderful Opens The Floodgates

When you appreciate and are grateful you send a signal to your subconscious that you like it and want it. You like it and want it and want more of it. You subconscious says, ‘yes’ and gives you more.

It will figure out the how. Your job is to be concerned with the what. What you want and what you are grateful for is what you need to know. Don’t concern yourself with how or when. Simply remain grateful and keep the faith. Enjoy the process. Take it lightly!

How is not for you to know. No one really knows how until they do it anyway. The Wright brothers didn’t know how to fly until they had. Edison didn’t know how to make a lightbulb work until it did. Ford didn’t know how to create a working V-8 engine until they made one.

Drop your problems and hardships. Make problems matter less. Get caught up in feeling good and grateful and forget about how anything happens. If you are needy you prevent yourself from getting more of what you want because you are creating more need.

Focus On What You Are Grateful For

Let go of the how and simply expect good things. Appreciate what you have and feel blessed. Give it over to your subconscious, to God or the Universe to figure out how while you continue to enjoy and celebrate life.

Expect good things and be patient. Get to enjoy what you have so much right now that you no longer compare or seek what is missing. When your life is so enjoyable it is overflowing you will add in good things. You will get more good things. You will be amazed!

You will attract the right people and circumstances and make what you want to happen. You will be in the right mind set for you to open doors and go through them. Life will become a delightful adventure for you to explore.

Feeling successful precedes success. Feeling happy brings more happiness. Feeling wealthy precedes cash flow. Loving oneself genuinely opens the door for incredible relationships. Feeling the warmth of family makes for a wonderful home. Thought precedes action. Celebrate and be grateful and the world becomes your oyster!” Rex Sikes

The Great Deception: How To Stop Living The Lie

“Did you know that most likely you have been brought up not knowing the full truth? Some very important principles were kept from you, deliberately or otherwise. Your struggles today are directly tied to not having the right information and know how.

You learn about things like positive thinking or Law Of Attraction and you give them a try. If you are like many people you get mixed results so you eventually give up. Would you like to know why this is and what you can do to ensure success?

You encounter the Law Of Attraction. You are told you are wonderful, deserving, abundant, talented and healthy. You have access to all good things.

Your mind, already conditioned with habitual fears, stories, doubts, reasons, excuses, blames, and messages from others, responds the same way it always does. It doubts it, fears it and all the rest.

This is because these LOA thoughts run counter to what many people are brought up believing. Some do, if you do you are fortunate. If not, no worries. Still, many people have the following experience:

You begin positive thinking and up comes the old conditioning.

The Way You Tame It IS To Replace It

It does require effort. Yes, you must invest in yourself if you want to live the way you are supposed to be living. You train your mind the same way you train a dog. You use patience, kindness, reward, repetition and firmness. You must keep at it if you want to succeed.

You are told let go of the negative. Then the old messages really rear up. You are told don’t worry about finances.  Stop focusing on your bills and debt. Your mind goes ‘but… but… but… if I don’t everything will collapse’.

You think, ‘I have to do something or everything will fall apart’. So you worry, fret, fear, doubt, get sad and anxious. You try to do things to keep it all together. You want the new but you busy yourself with the old.

You try to keep it from falling apart. You think, ‘if I just do this one more thing’, or if you try this other thing’, then things will be okay. You put your faith in actions. You were told you have to work hard to succeed.  So you keep trying to salvage things.

All your conditioning, everything you were taught, is about trying and striving and struggling to make it work. Then, maybe, then you will make it if you keep at it long enough. That is the American way. Work hard and get ahead. That is what some people value.

So you try to do more. You think more, act more, buy more, sell more. You do everything you know what or how to do. You plot and you plan but meanwhile everything remains the same. WHY?

Why Doesn’t It Change? Because You Are Creating It

Your conditioning says, ‘it is a real, hard, cold, separate world out there. Got to work hard to get ahead. Bad things happen to good people. I am not responsible for what happens. I am not lucky. Others are born to privilege I was not. The ‘real world’ is unloving and unkind.’

LOA emphasizes focusing on the positive. Let go of struggle. Accept whatever it is that you want. Believe you are worthy and that you deserve it. Allow it, believe it and receive it! The LOA says to live in harmony with your desires.

Open up to them and you can have them!

The LOA says it is 99% mental and only 1 % actions. It is the complete opposite to how you have been conditioned. Your desired new beliefs encounter the wall of your old beliefs head on. Smash!

Because of your past conditioning you don’t believe it. You resist. Your prior thoughts persists. Your reality remains the same because you pour all your energy into fighting.

You Fight What You Don’t Want. You’re Afraid You Will Lose Out

When it is all said and done you are exhausted and depleted. You have nothing left that is positive. You keep trying to do something to make it better. You still struggle and work hard or you whine and complain and blame everything and everyone else.

LOA emphasizes ‘Mindset First!’ Get the mind in order and your feelings will follow. Once these are in harmony everything else will begin to line up. Open yourself up to receive inspiration from within.

Tap into your inner strengths, power and resourcefulness. Everything you need you already have within you. BUT you have never known that nor have you believed or accepted that.

How could you? You believed all the contrary messages growing up?That was your reality. That is what you have continued to live from. You heard, ‘be brave, take risks’, and you tried. Sometimes it worked out and you were surprised.

Other times it did not and you were even more convinced that those negative limiting messages you grew up with were the right ones. We convince ourselves. You sought and found proof that your upbringing and conditioning was right. All of us do this.

You Have To  Get Over Your Own Previous Conditioning

That is the key. Turn away from what you believed. It  will be one of the most difficult things you have to do. You can do it bit by bit or all at once. The bottom line is YOU can do it.

Those limiting beliefs you were raised with served you in some ways. They worked at times but not really that well. This is because they were the partial truths. You got some of it but not all of it. You didn’t get the part that makes it all work. You also got it reversed.

They taught you to put the cart before the horse. It doesn’t work that way. That is why you and so many people struggle. You learned part of it and not all of it. What you learned was wrong and backwards. But it was all plausible so you and I and others believed it

Because it worked some of the time you believed it even more. It is random conditioning. One of the strongest forms of conditioning there is. Gamblers gamble because sometimes they win. They become convinced they can ‘strike it rich’ and that they break even most of the time when they do not. It is powerful.

It is difficult because you are so close to those thoughts. They form your paradigm. Your self image is invested in them. It is not comfortable. Your brain has run those same neural pathways for years. Those thoughts are your chronic, habitual thoughts.

Those pathways are the path of least resistance for you. It is the obvious and easiest choice to make. Because it is habit it is what you find yourself doing over and over again. It requires no effort to travel those well worn pathways.

You learned much of it from loving people. You learned much of it from media wanting to manipulate, control and to sell things. A weak mob is a weak mob. It is better to keep the masses confused and powerless. Rule by chaos, distraction and confusion.

It Is No Accident 1% Of The Population Controls All The Wealth

They know something you and I didn’t. They have been conditioned differently from the start of their lives. They grew up with a powerfully different set of beliefs, values and ethics than you and I did.

Mind Power First!

It has been emphasized since ancient times. No wonder it is what is ridiculed most by ‘experts’ and those in authority. It IS the secret! Get your mind together and your life will come together! Attitude IS everything. From within so without!

Thought precedes action. Thought precedes everything! Thoughts become things. What we think about we bring about. BUT they want you to think it is the result of your hard work. Actions is what they emphasize.

Let go of the your old ways! Your old beliefs will fight. They won’t let go without kicking and screaming. They are your closely held beliefs and practices. Little by little you can learn the new way. You can learn to live the secret.

Just as  a little trickle can become a mighty river you can make changes step by step. Small at first. Eventually, you will make great strides. Persist and you to can become a mighty creator and live your dreams.

Don’t let your old conditioning prevent you any longer. Stop thinking those old thoughts. Take a deep breath, let go and begin thinking new thoughts. Live a new way. Fill your mind with the new thinking. Train your mind and be in charge of your thoughts.

If You Change Nothing Nothing Will Change

Stop living from the old conditioning. Give yourself permission to think differently. Allow yourself to discover the power that is already yours. Discover the power that IS and has always been within you.

All your life YOU have gotten precisely what you have thought about most in your life. The LOA states, ‘what you think about most you become.’ You attract like thoughts. What you focus on you get. What you think about you bring about.

If you have debt it is because you are concerned with debt. Whatever problems you have been focusing on is what causes them to remain. Birds of a feather flock together. You need to think about, concentrate and include only what you DO want.

If you want wealth begin to experience abundance in all its present forms. Become grateful and thankful for everything. Delight in all that is inside you and outside of you. Live with joy and passion. Celebrate all of what you have and you will get more.

Fill your mind daily with positive thoughts. Read positive, inspiring and motivational material. Re-read it again and again. Listen to audios that help you get your thinking straight. What you think about most often you become.

Become Powerful 

Become filled with gratitude! Celebrate and appreciate everything. Even your problems because lessons and opportunity are within them if you know where to look. It is not so much that you attract as that you create. You will begin to make things happen.

Wish everyone and everything well. Stay positive. Birds of a feather flock together. What you put out comes back so keep it positive and up lifting. Be happy when others succeed.

Be inspiring and helpful to others. Radiate light, love, positive energy and you will attract like people to you who can help you. Put out from your mind the very best thoughts and you will greatly benefit.

Make it a point to be happy and to feel your very best most of the time. Put on a smile, walk with confidence, be playful, laugh more, have fun and enjoy life! Become a person who can do anything!

Life will transform as you do. You will get more of what you want because birds of a feather DO flock together. Think about what you want to include in your life. Do not think about what you want to exclude from your life. Let that thinking go. Drop it!

Let doubs go. Let fears go. Let the plotting and the trying to fix it go.

You have been taught that the world is separate from you and you have very little influence over it. You have been taught things happen to you. You have been made into a victim of circumstances.

You Are Born To Be A Champion, A Winner And A Victor

In reality you are born worthy, deserving of all good things. You are born to be a champion, a winner and a victor. There is plenty of everything for everyone!  You are responsible for your thoughts, feelings and actions. Take charge. Become the master of your fate!

You can be in control and in charge of your thoughts feelings and actions. You absolutely can control your thoughts. They don’t want you to believe that. When you do you will realize your power to control and shape your destiny. Own your power!

Your destiny begins within you. Mindset first! Mind power first!

I am not saying sit in your room and do nothing but imagine. I am suggesting that you FIRST get your head straight. Once you do this you will know better what to do and how. From the proper mindset the actions you take will have greater effect.

Operate from your strengths and your abundant gifts. Do not try to operate from lack and worry. Mindset is 99% then the 1% that is action will be powerful and productive. Inspiration comes before perspiration. This is the correct approach. This is where your power is!

Where you live most of the time, what fills your mind, what kind of thoughts you have most of the time dictate the results you get. If they are mostly positive you will get mostly positive results. If they are mostly negative you will get mostly negative results. If they are 50/50 results will be the same.

What You Think About You Bring About

How To Stop Living Like A Beggar And Start Living Like An Emperor!

“Can you imagine the emperors of old. They were in charge. They had the power. They commanded and others obeyed. Can you imagine what it would be like to be an emperor? If you could command it and your words would be carried out. That would be pretty cool, wouldn’t it?

So what is stopping you? Think about that for a moment. What prevents you from living as an emperor? Yes, yes, I know those days are gone. I mean, why don’t you act like the emperor you already are? You do know that’s what you are don’t you?

Who Is In Charge

I mean, either you are in charge of you OR you are not. Either you are the emperor, the controller, the ruler of your own being or you are not. So which is it? Either you command things to happen or you hope they will.

When you hope you are really a beggar. You are hoping someone, something will be kind. You hope and pray things will work out but you don’t really know. All power is outside of you. Others have the power you have to beg to get their scrapes. Is this you? I hope not!

Live Like An Emperor. Stop Living Like A Beggar. Live as a champion. Walk and breath as a winner.

Stop whining, sniveling, begging, hoping, wishing, comparing and complaining. Stop worrying about your career, your relationships, your money, your life.  It isn’t helping anything so give it a rest!

No Whining Stop Worrying

Let’s pretend all this Law Of Attraction quantum physics stuff is true. You are a creator you are one with the universe. You are an aspect of the divine, an expression, a fractal, part of the hologram in which all is contained.

You are responsible for everything. You, your atoms, have been here since the beginning of time. You are one with everything.

This universe is as much yours as you belong to it. SO for goodness stake stop begging and hoping and wishing that you get some good part of it. Demand it and expect it. You create all of it. Create what you want.

Make it happen. You are responsible for all good things. So make sure YOU get some of them for yourself. All the other stuff I write about patience and kindness and going first, allowing and accepting and forgiving still applies. You are a benevolent Emperor!

It Is Your Decision And No One Else’s

It is all part of the whole and the whole is in each part. Stop acting like change comes from outside of you.

Everything necessary for having what you want is already in you. Exercise it! Use it. Claim it. Stop expecting something from the outside to grant your wish.

Grant your own wish! MAKE it happen. After all, that is WHO is making it happen anyway? Speak it into being! Think it into being! Your thoughts create your reality. Create the results you want!

While ancient texts, and new thought leaders and people like Neville and Hill and Wattles and current gurus all proclaim the Law Of Attraction realize YOU are the magnet in your own playground.

Stop creating division and become whole. Be congruent. Become one. Hill emphasized that YOU need to know what you want.  Make it a burning passion and desire. Have faith. Go for it and don’t stop!

Know What You Want And Go For It

Do whatever you have to, in positive ways. Co-operate with others, for the best for everyone, and you will get want you want if you never give up.

He didn’t say it would physically materialize over time.  No one said the atoms would magically assemble in the environment until it physically manifests while you meditate and chant,

Stop comparing and wondering if it will happen. Decide it will happen. Do everything to make it happen. YOU do it. You create it You attract it. Demand it of yourself and stop hoping somehow it will come together if you are just good enough.

MAKE it happen. YOU make it happen. Believe in yourself. When you understand you are responsible you can get out of your own way. Become congruent. Align your desires with your intentions and get what you want.

Stop Comparing Stop Wondering 

Stop the self-sabotage. Stop wondering ‘if’ it will happen. Put an end to the pleading. When you do these things you will stop being a victim and become a victor. You will take charge as you should You should be the person in control. Where there is a will there is a way.

Okay, NOW let’s imagine the LOA is a crock. It is BS. It is a fairy tale and none of it works. The same principles apply. You make it happen. No one else will but you. If you are going to get your goals it will be completely your responsibility.

Stop sniveling and whining and hoping and wishing. Stop doubting and fearing and worrying and comparing. Pull yourself up. Set your attitude right. Get it straight and keep it that way.

Know what you want. Make it a burning desire. Keep working it until you succeed. You will if you never give up. Either way it is up to you.

Attitude Is Everything

Make all your  goals and dreams come true. Go after it the way a champion athlete prepares for the Olympics.

Dedicate yourself. Have the right mind set, get the right coaching you need and train yourself to win. Keep going and don’t quit. No excuses. No reasons. No Blames. Live as an Emperor. Command yourself. Demand of yourself. Expect yourself to follow through. And Do it!” Rex Sikes

How To Determine If You Are A Destroyer Or A Builder & Why It’s Important!

“Do you want to know the secrets to happiness and success? There are some. They are hidden in plain sight in most cases. Many people still manage to miss them. Have you? Do you want to know how you can more readily and more easily get ahead and create the career, life and relationships you want?

Is wealth and health important to you? If the answer is yes, pay attention to these concepts and principles. Apply these simple ‘secrets’ and you can dramatically improve the quality of your life. Wouldn’t you like to do that?

Alright, if you have been reading my blog for awhile you know me.

If not, I encourage you to go through and read other posts. Start at the beginning if you like, or pick mix and match. Reading is great.

Re-reading the same material is even better because you will learn new things with each re-visit. WHY? Because you will have changed between the readings. Okay, so you know me:

I like to keep it simple. While there are always shade of gray (I hear at least 50) I’d like to point out there is Black and White. While there is a gradient of temperature it is easier to refer to things as Hot or Cold. Other areas lend themselves to these notions as well.

Up Down; Good Bad; Large Small; Positive Negative: Rich Poor; Happy Sad; Tall Short; Fat Thin we could go on. OOOOOH – there is another one… On OFF.

Choose Positive OR Negative

There are always counter examples and exceptions to each and every rule but let’s keep it simple. Let’s work with Either OR. Is that okay with you? This is just to simplify and keep it simple. So the bottom line is:

You either think Positive Uplifting thoughts OR you think Negative ones.

You will never have a positive thought while focused on the negative. You won’t live a positive uplifting happy ‘I can do anything’ life focused on the negative, ‘I can’t do it, why do bad things always happen to me’ thoughts. It just isn’t going to happen.

If it does IT is extremely rare. (See, right there, I included the counter example right there for those who say… ‘but… but…’)

There are either Positive Uplifting People or there are Negative Downer People. People may be mostly one or the other. We may be either at some times in are life. BUT consider the example in the extreme EITHER OR.

Did you catch that, I included a counter example again for those who feel compelled to think… ‘but … but’.

Which Are You – Builder OR Destroyer

Put another way. There are Builders and there are Destroyers. Builders build, uplift and help others. Destroyers are those who tear down, take apart, criticize and blame.

You are either a Builder or a Destroyer. You are either Positive or you are Negative. Where do you spend most of your time? What do you spend most of your time doing? Who do you spend most of your time around?

DO you spend most of your time thinking about and pursuing what you want? Do you think about who and what you want to include in your life?

Do you consider who you want to be, what you want to do and have?

How much time do you spend happy, celebrating and are grateful for what you already have? How much time do you spend planning a better future?

Alternatively,  do you spend most of your time thinking about what you do not want? Do you focus on what you want to exclude? Are you most concerned with what you are trying to avoid?

Do you spend much time considering reasons why things haven’t worked out or criticizing yourself, others or circumstances? How much and whom do you blame?

Think about it. While there are variations let’s take it to the extreme. Which one are you? Which do you predominantly do? What are you focused on?

Are you a Builder or a Destroyer? Is your self-talk nice or not? Do you build up others or gossip and complain?

Whom Do You Spend Most Time With

There are Builders and Destroyers around you. The Builders, obviously are the uplifting positive people who help support you. They inspire and motivate you with their attitude, energy, thoughts and words.

The Destroyers are busy with negativity. They MAY be well intentioned but at the same time their attitude, energy thoughts and words are negative. They tend to be a downer. They can be discouraging, critical, harsh or blaming.

These people may be family, friends, co-workers, bosses, employees, people you associate with frequently or strangers you may meet from time to time. With whom do you spend most of your time?

Are your spending most of your time fraternizing with Builders or Destroyers?

Don’t be a bummer to the bummer people in your life. Don’t be critical, harsh or negative because you have energy vampires around you. That would be falling to their level. Take the higher road.

Live, love, laugh, celebrate and allow them to be who they are without judgement.

Spend Time With Uplifting People

Attempt to spend more of your time with the uplifting people whenever you are able. Associate with positive energy and positive thinking. Feel it. Surround yourself with Builders as much as possible.

Associate as little as possible with people who drain you and might bring you down.

Fill your mind with positive inspiring reading materials. Listen to motivational audio materials. Turn your car into a positivity classroom. Hang out with positive inspiring people. Attend fun, positive, inspiring learning events like classes, seminars workshops and retreats.

Enjoy community! Enjoy fellowship. Support and encourage each other. Help nurture and be happy for others. Celebrate everyone’s success and happiness. Don’t be envious or jealous. Be truly happy if others succeed before you do.

Go first! Practice the Golden Rule. Add value to others first. Help out. Give of yourself; your time, energy, money, whatever you can give, to make a positive difference for others. You will get back whatever you put out.

Put out the very best.

Spend Time Uplifting Others

Enjoy life moment to moment! Make it a priority. Feel your finest. Let go. Be grateful and be filled with joy as much as you can AS often as you can. Have a wonderful time!

Make each day worth living. Enliven your minutes and those of the people around you.

The more time you spend making others happy the more time you will be happy too. I’m not talking about sacrifice here. I am talking about feeling good and being a positive energy person.

The more time you spend feeling good, obviously the happier life you will have.

Smile a lot! Simply smiling will help change the flow of energy within you. Laugh a lot. Fill yourself with positive energy. Live with enthusiasm and energy. Be simple as a child.

Have fun. Delight yourself!  Focus on these and you will get more of them back.

Let go! Enjoy! Birds of a feather flock together. With the right attitude you will more easily handle any challenges or obstacles that may come your way. With the right attitude more of the people you want and hope for in life will be attracted to you.

Be a light! Be filled with light! Be lite! Delight! You will attract people, events, circumstances, (opportunities and advantages) that can help you and support you. Be radiant and they will come to you!

Birds of a feather flock together. Like attracts like. You get what you focus on!

Be A Beacon And You Will Attract The Best

Ignore the downer people. Don’t be rude. Just don’t get caught in their negativity. Let it go. Do not let those rain on your parade. Do not be bothered. Let it go like water off a ducks back. Instead, keep the faith. Have fun! I mean really have fun!

Be safe! Be wise! AND enjoy life whole-heartedly!

The world is filled with so many marvelous, wonderful, inspiring, and uplifting people. Be sure you are one of them! Find them and join them.

Live hot! Live Up! Live as a Builder! Live with Positive thoughts. Live with positive energy! The more you do this the more will be available to you. You will transform yourself and your life in the most wonderful and incredible ways. Do you want that? Then you know what to do! Begin now.” Rex Sikes

3 Things You Must Do To Enjoy The Success You Want

“People want to get results. They’d like to know if there is magic or a magic formula for making their dreams come true? Some want to make sure something ‘metaphysical’ occurs when people concentrate on their goals and dreams. They want to believe the Law Of Attraction works. Don’t you? What do you want?

I think the bottom line of everything IS magic! It is true.  Everything IS energy. It all comes from the same source. Everything is vibrating. So how can it be anything else but magic.

It is true birds of a  feather flock together. People who live similar lifestyles and have similar incomes and think similar thoughts (religion and politics) tend to congregate in areas and in groups.

Yes, I think there is magic. There is energy. There is vibration. There is attraction. There is gravity. There is mastermind. Whenever two or more are gathered of like mind and purpose the effect is exponential not additive. On top of it all this we can AIM our minds. AND yes, there is a formula!

Like Attracts Like

Prior to the advent of humans on the planet there were great cataclysmic upheavals, gigantic storms, plates shifting, dinosaurs, ice ages. There were clear, warm sunny, days with gentle breeze.

There was weather of all kinds. Because there was no human living, yet, there was no one to call it a good or bad day. It just was! No one was here to say the weather spoiled their plans.

Good and bad, right and wrong are all made up in the mind. Judgements, comparisons, qualifications, reasons, excuses, blames are all completely from the mental activity of humans. Prior to humans there were none.

THIS alone should teach us not to take ourselves too seriously.

Realize It Is All In Your Mind

We suffer because of our own mental constructs. Little else is the cause of our suffering. Two people can go through the same exact circumstances. One emerges triumphant while the other is devastated. It is mind set that makes the difference.

There is magic. There is mind. Attitude is everything.

One aims their mind at making their dreams come true. It may happen quickly or it may take time. Many things take some time. Who can say? Whatever happens is what happens.

It is neither good nor bad until someone labels it such. Patience is of the mind. Frustration is of the mind. Both are energy vibrating differently.

Most of us have great difficult not judging because we were brought up to judge and evaluate by people who before us were brought up similarly. We have adopted the limitations of our teachers and models. We learned from examples.

We need not live as a victim to this conditioning. We can extract ourselves, learn to respond differently and be free. Anything is possible. Since everything is a mental construct anyway why not chose the one you want to live from?

You Can Direct Your Mind And Your Heart

Don’t live the one you were handed. Create and live your own truth. Live powerfully and positively and fully. Be alive. Celebrate. Enjoy and delight. Life is far too short for anything but love, life, laughter and positive, warm, caring relationships.

Seek the best in you, from others and in all circumstances. Never sell yourself, or anyone else, short. Believe you can and you will.

Napoleon Hill stated, and I agree, ‘whatever the mind can conceive and believe it can achieve’. Realize there is no limitation in that statement. Whatever the mind can conceive means it is wide open.

In the image used today there is a barn and silo obviously built by humans. First it was conceived. It began in the imagination. It was dreamed and planned.

It was believed it could be accomplished or they wouldn’t have even tried. Materials and tools gathered. The structures were built. Their goal achieved. Results in. Outcome complete.

You Can Do Most Anything When You Believe You Can

What you think in the head you can one day hold in your hand. Outer results ARE the outcome of what first starts within. It begins on the inside! What we accomplish begins inside us. Between our ears and in our heart decisions are made. Yes, there is magic!

It doesn’t matter what you want to build, your career, life, your wealth, health, family, relationships, anything! Whatever you want to make happen, attract or be, have and do in your future it all begins and ends with these 3 magic steps. The formula: Conceive it, Believe It, Achieve It. Head First, Heart and Hands!

Henry Ford said, ‘If you think you can or you think you can’t you are right!’ The magic is within us.

These are the 3 mental steps to creation. Anything a human desires to make happen and get done starts in the imagination. Next comes belief it is possible and belief in seeing it through. Lastly, you work your plans to make it a reality. Head, heart, hands is the formula.

Remember: Head  Heart  Hands

To achieve it first believe that you can. Believe you are destined for it. Believe you are worthy. Believe it is yours and you shall have it. ‘Ask and it is given’. There is magic. The magic happens between your ears and in your heart.

The magic inside determines what kind of person you are. It determines who you will be and what kind of world you live in. You determine if it is a friendly, abundant place or not. You decide whether or not you are entitled to wealth, health and well- being.

What you think you become. What you focus on you get

Make life what you want it to be. Be daring and brave enough to dream really big The bigger the dream the more likely you will make it happen. After all, if you can conceive it and believe it you can achieve it. SO do it! Yes, I believe in magic!” Rex Sikes
