You Have Been Conditioned To Fail But You Don’t Have To!

horizons the-shortcut-phil-koch

“Have you been conditioned for failure? Sadly, the answer is yes. You were not born to fail but you learned it from well meaning people who were around you as you grew up. Since, you learned to fail there is something that can be done about it.

Consider this. A toddler, when learning to walk, falls many times. It does not stop trying. Nothing prevents it. It keeps going until it masters walking. The young child did this with rolling over, crawling, sitting up and feeding herself. It did this many times with many learnings.

Only later through communication with others does a child learn what success or failure is. It becomes an event. The child learns right, wrong, good, bad. It learns judgement and evaluations from others. The child learns about winning and losing.

At this time in the young person’s development f something doesn’t work out it is wrong. It is a failure and bad. Judgements are imposed on efforts made from the outside.

Soon the child learns to make these assessments and label attempts that aren’t fruitful. Before long the child tries once, twice, three times and quits. Worse before long the child may label him or herself based on these trials.

Brains that fire together wire together. The more you judge the easier it becomes to make judgements. The more you quit the easier it becomes because you develop the neural pathways the habits for quitting. The more you succeed the more you develop the neural pathways and habits for winning.

Your brain doesn’t care which you choose. Your brain will do whatever you give it to do. If you prefer being a winner, train your brain, and you will be a winner. Otherwise, what is your option?

You were born a winner. Don’t stop being one because you have learned to quit. Learn again to win. Learn to persist until you do succeed. Stop thinking of yourself as anything other than a winner.

Your mindset, you attitude, how you feel about yourself will determine how much you ‘go for it’. Persistence separates the winners from the losers. If the goal is to cross the finish line the only one who is a failure is the one who quits and never crosses.

The infant encounters temporary defeat but keeps on doing until she succeeds. You can too. All failure IS only temporary unless you quit. Then it is permanent. Then you have given up.

Never give up on your positive goals and dreams. Adjust your plans, attempt another way or route but keep on going until you get there. You can do it. Be the champion you were born to be. Be the victor you are and triumph over circumstances.” Rex Sikes

Stop Describing Your Life As If You Are Talking To Tech Support

horizon storm clouds green

“Yes, we will continue with how and why it is important to have and maintain good vibrations. This is a bit of a segue but in the same vein. It is important to staying happy, creating your dreams and attracting the future you desire to think positive and feel the best you are able to most of the time. The key to change IS in good feelings.

You want to feel good most of the time. You want the ratio of less than glorious to glorious to be predominantly on the side of glorious. This is the key to manifesting what you want more of. You want more good feelings so you start and maintain feeling good. Then you will get more of the same. Do you get it?

What You Think About You Bring About

So today, I had a tech issue on the computer and on my smart phone. I called tech support. Of course, they want to know what is wrong so that they can help correct it. I describe the problem I am having with book marks on one of my browsers. They state, yes, this is a common problem. It get’s fixed.

I state there is the problem I am having with my phone. They work to resolve it. As they do, what they do, fixes the problem I described but leaves me with another problem I discover moments after we hang up the phone. I go back through the web site, ask them to call me and they do and we begin again.

If You Always Do What You Always Did …

I describe the original problem that brought me there and that it was remedied only to discover another issue once we hang up. They work to resolve this and do but again create another issue which is larger than the previous one. I only discover this problem once we hang up.  I go back through the web site and the cycle begins again.

This went on, pretty much like this, all day long.

Each time I had to go back to the website get them to call me. Then I had to go through each of the issues and their remedies and the new problems created each time. This was repeated time and time again. During this time I had to go about business.

I left one meeting to go sit in the stair well to speak with them. At this point I was able to request call backs at certain times or whenever they finished helping someone else they would call me. So in my car en route to my computer. Later, they  called at the conclusion of another meeting I had.

…You’ll Always Get What What You Always Got

Then during a drive through while getting my son something to eat, Then back at home. The final call lasted 3 hours until my land line air phone died and the tech support person finished his 11.5 hour shift. AND get this!  The problem I dread most still looms for tomorrow . They scheduled an early AM technical support call.

So it is near the close of the day when it occurs to me that this is a great analogy for how many of us spend our days anyway. We describe the issues that bother us over and over again. Someone cuts us off on the free way while on the way to work. We get angry. Flip the other person off. Use a few choice expletives and drive on muttering about that SOB.

We mention it to the coffee barista. Once at work we complain to co-workers about the jerk on the road. During lunch we bring it up again. This continues on until we arrive home. We are asked about our day and we begin with the asshole on the highway. Only by now we have added a litany of other complaints that occurred during the day. We stock pile bad events. We pick them up like lint rollers.

If You Want Your Life To Change…

When we focus on our problems, even to solve them, we tend to get more problems. I am not suggesting we don’t fix wrongs but that we learn how to shift our attitude away from it being a problem and into how wonderful it is finding a solution. Our days are meant to be spent joyously not spent reciting lists of what went wrong.

Yet, sadly, that is what too many of us do. Why? My guess is we get caught up in it. That is one potential reason. We get snagged by it, hooked. I think we also do it because we are used to doing it. Our parents did it and we grew up doing it. It is mostly all we know. I think another reason is there is a reward in complaining.

Secretly, somehow we like the drama and the attention we get. We want to be the sad little puppy who has had it soooooo hard. Really, I do. Who doesn’t feel better feeling bad sometimes? Admit it, you like it. You do! The bottom line is it doesn’t matter much why we are the way we are. We won’t change even a little unless we do change.

…You Have To Change Things In Your LIfe

That is what we must remember. As long as we perpetuate the old way, the painful way. the negative way, the comfortable, old, wonderfully painful way that gets us attention and ‘bandaids on our boo boos’ we will remain stuck wallowing in endless lists of daytime wrongs.

Our life will remain essentially as it is. We will continue to complain about the bills, that no one listens, that we’re living in a loveless relationship, our job sucks but nobody cares, and how we wish it were better but it never really gets any better. Do you get it? If you want your life to change you must change things in your life.

You cannot go around listing problems as if you are speaking with technical support and expect your life to improve. For your life to improve you pretty much need to ignore the less than glorious circumstances and place your energy and your focus on what you can appreciate and feel gratitude for.

You Become What You Think About Most

You need to maintain your vision on your positive dreams and goals, the ones that haven’t really happened yet, and imagine them as if they are completed. You need to feel all the marvelous feelings most of your day, that you would feel if your life was perfect and all your dreams had already come true.

In order to experience the magic you have to place your attention and keep your attention on the invisible, that which hasn’t actually happened yet. AND you have to act and think as if it already has. The point of this is : if you want the good life you have to stay focused on the good life and not contaminate it with all that goes wrong in the meantime.

Fill your heart and mind with gratitude and joy. Feel thrilled that life is incredible. Live with enthusiasm, passion and joy. Be alive, totally alive. Have fun. Smile, laugh, sing, dance, love and celebrate. When you do you vibrate in that special creative way that helps you make everything you want come to be.

Speak Only To Bless, Heal And Prosper

You are a light unto the world and you radiate and attract the right people, events and circumstances into your life. Your brain works on finding opportunity and advantages, resources in the real world. You operate from such a place of optimism and power the game literally changes. You operate from being in charge and being in control

You are the captain of your fate and the master of your soul. You live as a champion instead of a whiner. You live as a victor and not as a victim. Start describing the things that go right in your life. Start talking about the things you want to say ‘YES” to.

Emphasize these! Repeat these again and again and feel blessed. Your mantra, your self talk should be positive. Speak to yourself and others only to bless, heal and prosper. Accentuate the positive and you will get more positive back. Thoughts are things. What we think about we bring about. What you focus on expands.

Radiate And Let Your Light Shine

Remember this! Keep it in mind. We become what we think about. Birds of a feather flock together. It is the flowers that attract the bees. Bears are attracted to the honey. Let your goodness flow like a river and all good things will flow to you. Stay positive! Be a light for others! Your life will wonderfully transform as you do!” Rex Sikes

You Need A Power Team And Here Is Why!

horizons roadway double yellows

“The world goes on no matter what. It doesn’t slow down for us one bit. Sometimes it may seem as if we just don’t have enough good juice to handle it all. There are ways, of course, practices and principles you can apply. Would you like to know an important one?

If you can only sit peacefully in meditation atop a mountain somewhere, removed from the noise and the hustle and bustle, then you haven’t really learned how to quiet the mind. One should be able to live meditatively anywhere. Meditation is perfect for living where conditions are less than desirable. Try it. You may like it!

There are circumstances we enjoy and those we dread. There are people who are good for us and those who are toxic. I am a firm believer that we should be able to rise above anything or anyone who is a problem. Just as with meditation we should not allow ourselves to be brought down because of outside influences.

There are those people who are good for you to be around. These are the people who love and appreciate you. They encourage and support you in positive ways. They help you nurture your goals and dreams. They enjoy who you are and allow you to become who you want to be.

These people respect and value you. You respect and value them. Together you feel more alive. These are people to spend more time around. It is good to surround yourself with positive energy and good feelings. Decide who these people are in your life and treat them like gold. They are resources to you and you can be the same for them. Together you form a positive power team. Embrace it.

Relationships like this are wonderful to develop and grow strong. Your team may be people you already know or people you meet soon. When it comes to new ones choose friends you are proud to know and have in your life. Choose people you admire and respect; people who walk their talk, because actions speak louder than words. This is critical. Do they live it?

You want people in your life who are nice to you and you are nice to them. It is important to reciprocate love and kindness. Notice what you appreciate in others and let them know. Tell them. Be their cheerleader too. Support them in their pursuits. Cheer them on to greater heights. Be genuinely thankful and happy when they succeed and move forward. Be thrilled for them!

Help them in their endeavors. Small or large it doesn’t matter. The more you help others the more they will help you. Go first when it comes to giving. Be a gracious and available receiver. What goes around comes around. Be honest and reliable. Keep your word. Be the kind of person you want others to be.  Care about them. Let them know how much they mean to you.

If an issue or misunderstanding arises be slow to blame and quick to forgive. Forgiving means don’t let resentments get the better of you. Put things back into perspective. Let go. If you have some incredible relationships with quality people seek to preserve these. It is desirable to have a great core of quality people who inspire, motivate and support each other.

There is a synergy that occurs when like minded people come together. There is an exponential effect when two or more are gathered. Together you create more than each person can individually. Together you may accomplish great things. Together you can live, love and laugh more. Together you form an oasis in the world. Celebrate your positive team of friends and family.” Rex Sikes

Do You Have What It Takes? This Quality Separates The Winner From The Pack

horizon single purple flower in green

“One quality often separates the haves from the have nots. The winners from the not winners. Those who are victorious embody this attribute. What is it that divides champions from mere mortals, the successful from the non-success? Persistence!

People who have made great wealth are persistent. Olympic athletes who medal, or those who compete multiple times are persistent. These people don’t quit. They’d rather fight than switch, they would sink with the ship.

They will do anything to not fail and succeed. If you want to cross the finish line you must stay in the race.

Many champion athletes have known great heartbreak, injury and setback but have gone on to face incredible odds and prevail. Countless self made millionaires have built fortunes and lost them only to build them again. They don’t let falling down keep them down. They get up, dust of and move on.

Keep Moving Toward Your Goal Step By Step

These champions in sports, wealth, business, and life do what other people neglect to do. They work every day towards their goal. They relentlessly pursue their major purpose and they develop habits to move them along.

They repeat that which makes them successful. They condition their mind and their being for success. They do whatever it takes.

They let nothing stop them. Mistakes, obstacles, that which appears as defeat does not defeat them. There is no failure in falling down, getting up and going on to cross that finish line. The only ones who fail are those who leave the race early. Winners keep moving forward. Challenges and obstacles are part of playing the game.

Successful people may adjust their plans but never give up their dream. They learn what works and what doesn’t by continuously trying. Sometimes they get lucky but it is because they keep going after it until they discover opportunity and advantage.

Successful people persist in the face of relentless opposition. They don’t let well meaning people discourage them from accomplishing their dreams.

Learn From Obstacles And Challenges

The learn the power of focus and have learned concentration and how to tune out and ignore distractions. They use their time well. Habits rule our lives and they learn success habits that support them in their pursuits.

Our habits can either help us to succeed or be the reason we don’t. We need to insure, as the champions do that we have success habits.

Habits can be changed. If you have some that don’t serve you well this is great news. Habits can be changed through awareness and effort. You need to notice when you aren’t doing what you want to be doing and then do what you want to immediately.

You repeat this process. You are aware of starting to engage in the old habitual behavior and you stop, decide to engage in the new behavior you want to become a habit.

You have to repeat this over and over. There are different estimates on how long it takes for a new behavior to become habit. The range is somewhere between 21 to 90 days.

This is great news! Within a relatively short period of time you and I can learn positive productive habits that can revolutionize our lives!

Play The Game Well And Enjoy Winning

When you get rid of the habits that hold you back and replace them with positive new ones your life will change for the better. It may take some time, yes, but it is worth it.  Whenever you begin to engage in the old habit, stop, decide to engage the new behaviors and praise yourself for noticing the opportunity to change. Don’t be critical or hard on yourself. Instead encourage change.

AS you notice yourself engaging in the new habit celebrate. Celebrate everything. A good habit is formed by engaging in the good habit, the correct behavior, repeatedly over the time period.

As the new habits take hold you will be amazed and delighted with the progress. You too, just like the self-made millionaires can make changes and become unstoppable. You can see yourself over the finish line and make you dreams come true!” Rex Sikes

Smile big live large today. Enjoy everything!

A Critical Secret Necessary For Success

horizons footprints blue snow red sky

“In times long past there was a practice that has long been lost. It meant the difference between remaining the same, staying stuck at a certain level of existence, and moving forward into success. It was a way of life that has been lost in modern times. Tiny remnants remain and while that is good news it is true we suffer from the loss of this practice. What is it?

Apprenticeship. The art of being and apprentice or a disciple. From early times on there was a path to mastery whereby the knowledge sought, the skills necessary we learned between a talented master craftsperson and an apprentice.  There was a process of becoming a knight. One did not just declare oneself a knight.

Nor did one declare oneself a master mason, carpenter, educator or anything else. One learned from a master and when the master deemed the student ready to progress then and only then did the student learner move to the next level. We certainly don’t do anything like this today, at least, in my culture.

What we have is beneficial and a tiny remnant of this important educational process. We have mentors. Studies indicate that nearly 94% of successful millionaires attribute their success to having at least one mentor in life or business. They attributed their wealth creation directly to having a mentor.

A mentor is someone who can show them the ropes, who can advise them and tell them what to focus on. A mentor can tell them what to do and what not to do. They share their mistakes and the student benefits from not only their knowledge but their experience. Wisdom comes from experience and nothing can replace that.

Finding a success mentor is a great way to become richer. You want someone who has been where you are and who is doing what you want to be able to do. Their experience should parallel your experience as much as possible. You want someone who has traveled the same road you need to, but before you, so they can show you the way.

Nearly 70% of self made millionaires said having a mentor was critical to their success overall. You want to find a good mentor to help guide you. Along the way you may meet many. Your parents, relatives or family friends could be your first mentors. They might become mentors later once you are older.

Books are good for gaining insight but there are obvious limitations. You do not get any human feedback. Still, you can learn much from books and should read to better yourself. You might find someone in your work, or while attending seminars, or networking. Whomever ends up being your mentor is someone who you respect and trust. You need to know they have your interests in their heart.

Learning and evolving is wonderful and each day you can become more of the you that you want to be. You can dream big, aim high and reach your destination making your dreams come true. A mentor can help you in ways you may not readily be able to help yourself.

Alone, you can still succeed. You will be schooled by hard knocks and learn life lessons by trial and error. NOTHING can ever actually replace  experience. Be glad! What you learn along the way will stay with you. It will become a part of you. Pursue your dreams and do not quit.

You may have to be your own cheering section but persist. When you do you will celebrate the win. You can be, do and have anything you want in life. So go after it. A trusted mentor will bring you great value but don’t let being alone stop you. Go for it. Make it happen!” Rex Sikes

Stop Wasting Time: Invest Your Time!

horizons tracks and blue sky

“You can never get back? You can lose money and make more again. People have been devastated by losing everything they own and yet they rebuild and purchase more stuff. Loved ones and friends once gone are gone. Cherish them. Still, there is that something else we can never ever get back.

We take it for granted it but once gone it is gone for ever. It never ever gets returned to us. You know what it is.  It is time. Your time! Once spent it is gone forever. Perhaps, the reason why we aren’t more thoughtful, or careful or protective of our time is because there seems to be an abundance of it. Yes, there is. There IS always plenty of time!!! Until there isn’t.

We do not live as if we were actually our last day. IF WE DID you can bet we would have very different days. WE do not treat our loved ones as if it may be the last time we ever saw them BECAUSE if we did we would treat them very much differently. No, we seem to always think there will be plenty of time.

So we watch television. We spend endless hours on social media. We play electronic games or find many different ways to distract us from what is truly important. We may hang out in bars, read graphic novels, scour the internet for another silly animal video. Maybe we just while away the hours in bed.

The point is there are only so many hours in a day and only so many days in one’s life. I don’t believe we should live as though we are being chased, we shouldn’t fear life we should enjoy it. We should enjoy and value our time with family, friends and alone! Often, when people get older they begin to feel like time is running out. Some feel this way even when young. I don’t think that is what we want either.

What we do need to do is learn to invest our time wisely. We ought to put it to good use. We can use our time feeling wonderful, making positive changes, improving our life circumstances. We can evolve ourselves, pursue goals and dreams and make wonderful things happen. We should discover and go after our major purpose in life.

Investments can pay dividends down the road. Time wisely invested in learning to be happier, healthier, more loving and have more loving relationships seems like time well spent. You can learn how to become more confident and live more fully; become financially secure; improve your life and help others improve theirs.

If you realize you don’t actually have all the time in the world perhaps you will spend your time more wisely and productively.

Studies of successful people show that those who have become millionaires watch little TV. Maybe an hour or less a day. They don’t spend much time on the internet. WHY? Because they are busy building their lives. The less wasted time the more time they had available to pursue their dreams.

Use whatever time you have in smart ways. Go for your goals. Invest in yourself! A great use of your time is in celebration and gratitude because you can do it anywhere and everywhere. You can feel happy right now. Be thankful for your blessings in life. Smile and laugh more. Love more. Enjoy the people around you and each moment you have! Celebrate it!” Rex Sikes

A Realist Never Flew – It Took A Dreamer To Make It Possible: Which Are You?

horizons fencepost and barn

“There are those who say ‘I am a realist when it comes to thinking’. Interestingly enough, a realist may see what is there but only a visionary can see what can be.

One may be good at recognizing what is present. The other builds the future. All innovation stems from visionaries and dreamers, who saw what needed to be added to the present. They sought to  make it better.

A realist never flew. A dreamer made it possible. Become a dreamer. Look around you and be glad for all of it. Celebrate it. Then add to it. Dream big. Think beyond the boundaries. It all first begins as a thought!

Napoleon Hill said, ‘If you can conceive it and believe it you can achieve it.’  Everything in the human world is first conceived of as a thought, a possibility. It only comes into being in reality when creators believe it is possible.

What you think about you can bring about. From the inside to the outside is the process of creation. The results you get are first born between your ears. If you see it in your mind you can hold it in your hand.

So dream big. Believe it is possible. Make it happen. Oliver Wendall Holmes stated, ‘A mind stretched to a new idea can never go back to it’s original dimension.’ When it comes to you and your life dare to go beyond what you already know into something truly incredible!

Great discoveries and innovations arose when brave men and women dared the impossible. It was Audrey Hepburn who said, ‘Impossible means I’m possible.’ You can make your dreams come true.” Rex Sikes

Why You Need To Be Part Of A True MasterMind Group!

horizons pumpkin

“Do you have support for the changes you want to make? Are you working at it all by yourself? Are you helping anyone else? The Mastermind Group suggested by Andrew Carnegie to Napoleon Hill is a powerful and excellent possibility you will want to explore.

Carnegie and Hill stated it is a necessity. Hill wrote  extensively about what a mastermind group should be. You hear a lot about these groups today but few are actual mastermind groups. The name gets used for any collection of people gathered around a topic. It has become a popular term and selling point.

Without going into the particulars in this post I suggest that you find ‘likeminded’ positive people whom you can partner with or associate with to help you stay on course. It is important to surround yourself with positive people who inspire you and whom you can encourage and assist.

There is exponential potential when more than one person pursues a definite chief purpose. Together people can accomplish more than individually. A true mastermind is formed around that purpose. It is tightly monitored to insure all are on the same page. Members work toward accomplishing the same agreed upon end.

You Can Accomplish More When In Harmony With Others

It is a special and unique group that forms in particular fashion for a particular purpose.  It is not the mere collection of like-minded people. Still, there is a point to also having like minded people to engage with. It is important to begin there. It is a great benefit too!

For our purposes today I suggest you find people to associate with for the purpose of having a cheering squad and a support team. When you associate with positive others you are inspired to greater heights. You travel together instead of separately even though you each are on a solo path. Birds of a feather flock together.

We will discuss at other times elements of a true mastermind group. This is an important topic and according to Carnegie and Hill a critical component for achieving great success.  Meanwhile, I encourage you to read Napoleon Hill, ‘The Laws Of Success’ and ‘Think And Grow Rich’. Two very worthwhile books!

Read these works for a more complete understanding of the time honored principles for success and an accurate description of a true mastermind group. A mastermind is not an internet collection of hundreds of people but a select few chosen for particular purposes.

Surround Yourself With Positive Energy People

Meanwhile, surround yourself with people who are accomplishing their dreams. Find those who already have made their dreams come true and who continue to make positive pursuits. It is great to learn from people who have been where you are and who are doing what you want to do.

This is important too. People who have come from a similar background. Of someone is born to extreme wealth and you are not you don’t have much in common. Their path to success is not yours, you don’t have those advantages. If the person came from humble roots but went on to great success that is the person to learn from.

That person’s path is more parallel to your own. They have some things to teach you and you have some things to learn from them. Spend time in nourishing atmospheres with uplifting people. It is part of your nutritional program for your mind and spirit.

Read and re-read positive materials. Listen to positive speakers. Attend functions and events and stay on course by having buddies who help and whom you can help. A wonderful thing happens for you when you can celebrate and cheer on another to success. Great things can happen when you assist and give to others.

Think of your own personal improvement program this way. How much time do you spend devoted to the positive pursuit versus the negative? How much time is positive versus distraction? The goal is for you to enjoy more and more of life so that the balance falls in the favor of the positive time. 70, 80, 90% positive.

Your Positivity Scale Should Tip In Favor Of Positivity

If you read a page a day and spend the rest of your time surrounded by negative whining people whom you join in helping criticize current affairs you aren’t spending much time filling yourself with positive and inspiring thoughts, feelings and actions. You need to change that and adjust those times appropriately.

Social media can be a huge time waster and downer because so much is focused on what is wrong with everything. As is the news and unfortunately as is a lot of people we care about. Make sure you are getting more than adequate nutrition for your mind and body.

If you want to turn your life around you can. Spend more time engaged with the positive thoughts and behaviors that make it so and you will! Spend more time with positive and encouraging people. Adjust the positive to negative time spent ratio and you will find your life moving into the positive fast lane. ENJOY!” Rex Sikes

Use These 6 Simple Steps To Get Everything You Want

horizons blue sky orange trees

“Do you want more from life? Do you have everything you want yet? Would you like to know 6 easy steps that you can use to make your dreams come true?

Getting what you want can be difficult or easy. It is up to you. It depends on your mindset and your actions. It depends on your follow through. These 6 steps simply guide you and help keep you on track. Use them and you can revolutionize your life.

So, you set your goal. It is off in the future. What you do between then and now is important. Keep your expectations high. Keep faith in yourself and your ability to make your goal or dreams come true.

Stop Comparing Feel Good Instead

Between this time now and that time then keep your energy high and positive. Think and feel your very best. Spiritual people may say you need to vibrate happily. It is important we start from a good place. Mindset and attitude is everything. Positive expectations and faith in your ability to manifest the outcome you want are important.

The more positive, feeling good and happier you are the easier it all will be. Happiness brings more happiness. Success brings more success. Positive thoughts and positive feelings result in more of the same. Begin in the highest, positive place you are able. Focus on the positive and stay there.

Birds of a feather flock together. Whatever you think and feel positive or negative you attract more of. Be sure to chose the positive. Begin with high positive vibrations, mindset and attitude and you will get more back in return. It is important that you feel good. So, how do you feel good?

How To Feel Good

First: To help yourself feel good you  do those things that make you feel good. Use wise, healthy practices. Smile, laugh, do something nice for others. Do anything that makes you feel good. Walk, sing, dance. Go to a favorite place.

Clean your house if it makes you feel better. Treat yourself. Spend time with family or friends. Celebrate, count your blessings. Feel grateful. Volunteer, donate.  Do a favor or kindness. Anything healthy and positive that makes you feel better is available for you.

Second: Clarify what you want. Know your purpose. Set your goal. Be clear about what you want. Be committed. Affirm what you want and what you will do to get it. Affirm that you will keep at it no matter what. Be on purpose, be intentional, and keep your commitment.

Visualize it. Affirm it with strong feeling. Feel the firmness of your decision. Feel your resolve and joy and confidence Speak with authority. When you affirm and visualize imagine it as already completed. You have made it happen. Enjoy the feelings. Celebrate having made your dreams come true.

Get Clear On What You Want

Imagine having a discussion with someone close who celebrates you achievement and describe to this person how you made it happen. What easy step by step you took. How you kept your faith and persistence. Tell them why you  did it, what you did and how you did it to make it a reality for yourself.

Again remember, in your mind it has already happened and you have everything you want. Feel and bask in those feelings. As you picture and describe it and how you did it commit to taking the easy step by step approach. Work at making your goal come true bit by bit. Enjoy the process.

Three: Use your affirmations to describe you desired life. Be descriptive and use wonderful adjectives to put ‘oomph’ into your descriptions and affirmations and mental images. Make it vivid and glorious. The more strongly you feel as you describe and picture the more readily your subconscious mind gets the message.

Your pictures should support your affirmations and your affirmations should support help create your pictures. Describe the life you want as though you already have it. Feel what it is like to be there, having and doing those things. Feeling is most important. Keep all talk self-talk and other talk positive! Live your dreams in your mind fully as you are able.

Visualize, Affirm And Use Positive Self-talk

For example, if you want more money. Saying ‘I am debt free’.  Or ‘I have lots of cash’. May not make you feel very happy. The first puts your focus on debt. You want to put your focus on prosperity. You may wish to say, ‘I have all the money I need’.

But even the second example and this one may not trip your trigger too much. Piles of cash may be nice but some people are not that excited by green paper. It is what the green paper represents that is important. It is all you can do with lots of the green stuff that makes you feel good.

Think of all the things you will do with that money. It isn’t the money that makes you happy but what you are able to do because of the money.  You might love to travel or by a new home. It could be purchasing nice things makes you feel good. Perhaps it is  the security and confidence to be able to do whatever you want, with whomever you want, whenever you want makes you happy.

Think about it. Feel happy! Feel great and notice why you feel happy.  It is what you do with what you have is where the feelings come from.  Use what makes you feel the best.

Spaced Repetition Builds Habits

Fourth: Do it repeatedly. Do it every day. Spaced repetition develops habits. Everyday visualize and use affirmations. Keep in mind what predominately occupies your mind is what you get. What you think about most often you bring about. You get what you focus on. DO it everyday and do not stop.

Don’t miss a day. Commit. While that may seem like a big commitment there is a reason for it. Some people rationalize once they miss going to the gym or fudging on their diets and soon give it up. You don’t want to end up like one of those people do you?

Don’t let there be any room for not following through. Keep your promise to yourself. Consider this an investment in you and cherish this investment. Cherish yourself, value yourself enough to stick with it. Thought precedes action. Get you head together first and foremost.

Begin the day right. Start it off positive. Affirm and visualize. Then affirm and visualize  whenever you can during the day to stay positive. Fill your mind with positive thoughts, words and actions. Before you go to sleep count your blessings and affirm and visualize for your subconscious to work on while you sleep.

Take Action Steps

Fifth: Start moving forward. Take the first steps. Take action. Create momentum.  Follow through. During the time you were clarifying your goals and dreams and affirming and visualizing your mind, your subconscious, helps you create a plan.

Be aware of flashes of insights and ideas that you can do that help you get your goal. Work you plan. Plans may change but you don’t change you goal. You keep you intention and work creatively to get it. Remember, step by step you make your dreams come true.

With the right mindset in place, first, you will look for and you will find, you will make happen and attract, the right people, the right circumstances, events, and opportunities that are advantageous for you.

When you align your energies with what you desire and when you get congruent in your conscious intentions with your subconscious you become a creative force to be reckoned with. You become a powerful Can Do person.

You become a powerful Chooser. You determine your destiny. You begin to live as a champion and as a winner. You become a powerful creator who makes things happen. You become a magnet to attract all good things to you. What you put out to the universe you get back. Like attracts like.

Thought precedes actions. The most successful people already know and practice this. They either learned it deliberately or stumbled on it. Those who struggle in life often work hard and wonder why their actions aren’t paying off. Have you ever? If so, you must get your mind in the right place first. Then everything else can line up behind it and work.

As Above So Below As Within So Without

Sixth: Get the Within in order and the Outer will follow. Take care of your mind and body. Consume healthy nutrition to feed the mind as well as the body. Read positive books and articles. Listen to positive talks and speeches. Attend positive events and seminars.

Consider finding and spending time with people who are already doing what you want to do well. Also find those who are pursuing it as you are too. If you want to get good at anything you need people around you who are good and better.

You don’t want to be the smartest person in the room because you won’t learn anything. If you want to learn to play chess, or basketball you need to be around others who play the game. If you want to be the best then you need to spend time around those who are the best.

Find a community of positive, encouraging, supportive people to hang out with. It will make a big difference. Not only can they encourage and support and contribute to you but you can for them. The practice of contributing to others also makes you happier and healthier and stimulates you to get all the good things you want.

Bonus: Take time and apply these six steps and you will rock your world. You will transform yourself and your life in positive and dynamic ways. You will begin to experience many good things that will delight and surprise you. While on the path put your attention on the successful steps you take. Put your attention on the wins, large or small.

Keep Your Focus On The Steps You Can Take

When climbing a mountain it is recommended to look down a few paces ahead of your feet. Do not look at the peak. The contrast of where you are and where you need to get to is vast and may cause you to lose faith and give up if you constantly compare. It drains you of your energy and confidence.

If you keep your focus on the few paces in front of your feet you are making the journey step by step. You are moving forward and no longer comparing. You can celebrate each step knowing you are getting closer. You are winning each step of the way. You are keeping your focus on what you can do.

Yes, it tricks the mind and you into sticking with it by making it easier for you. The same is true of our goals. Keep you attention on the small wins. Each step you take in the right direction is positive. Do not compare, let go of the when and be grateful for the now.

Do these six or seven things. Start today. Never wait when opportunity presents itself. Take advantage of now! Fill yourself up with feeling good and thinking good. Begin surrounding yourself with quality people. Focus on the small wins along the way. Enjoy the journey and you will make your dreams come true. Never quit.” Rex Sikes

Have a glorious day!!
