Stop Being Stuck It Doesn’t Have To Suck! Live The Life You Want!

“What happens when we don’t think we can’t accomplish something because it is too difficult? Since, thoughts determine our reality shouldn’t we be more careful what we believe? Can we do something about self-limitations ? How do we overcome what seems to hold us back?

Switch your thoughts! Stop thinking what you are thinking and begin to think new, different productive thoughts. You may exclaim, ‘but that is hard’. Yes, if you think it is, it most probably will be. THAT is but another thought!

Thoughts determine our reality. Everything begins with thought. Are you really going to let a thought prevent you from seeking the highest good? Are you? You would let a mental packet of energy, or an internal feeling prevent you from being and doing and having everything you want? Really? Sad, that seems pretty wimpy.

At some point you simply have to face it. If you want things to change you must change some things. You can’t keep doing the same things over and over again and expect anything to be different. It doesn’t work like that. So give it up and face the fact that YOU have make some alterations if you want the clothes to fit. So to speak.

Why Would I Ever Choose To Believe That

You need to think more positive, productive thoughts. So whenever you discover yourself thinking or saying something less than productive or counter to what you want you challenge it.

When you encounter a limiting belief and recognize it as such ask yourself, ‘why would I ever choose to believe that?’

Your answers will be more of your paradigm of your limiting beliefs. More grapes from the cluster may appear. If you treat them as no big deal they will be no big deal. They are conditioning from your past that you accepted from other people. If you treat them as big things they will be big things.

You determine whether your responses will be minor or a big problem for you to deal with them.  How you feel about them will determine whether it’s  difficult or whether it is something you can easily and effortlessly change. YOU decide! Again, YOU DECIDE!

You can change effortlessly and let all your limiting beliefs go.

Whenever you encounter a limiting belief, from time to time, celebrate be happy. When you encounter something and you think ‘I can’t do that’ celebrate that you uncovered it because that’s the moment when you can become free.

Even If That Were True Why Would I Ever Choose To Believe That

If you become aware of a limiting belief then you can do something to change it. If you’re not aware of it it will just remain obscure. So as they come up, notice and let them go. Treat them as minor incidences. Ask yourself, ‘why would I EVER choose to believe that?’

You will get answers that are other reasons.  Continue to ask that. You can even state, ‘EVEN if that’s is true why would I choose believe that?’  The answers may sound logical, even plausible but be willing to simply gently challenge or question the belief statements.

For example, you think, ‘I can’t make a lot of money’ or ‘Other people get all the luck’, whatever the limitation statements may be THINK ABOUT IT – WHY ON EARTH would you EVER choose to belief that? WHY would YOU ever choose to limit yourself in this way? Who says you can’t?

How would your life be different if you didn’t believe that? Why would you ever accept that as true? Even if it were true why would you chose to believe it? Ask and repeatedly ask. You may find you get into a recursive loop of, ‘just because I do.’

Who Says? According tTo Whom?

The reason why most of our beliefs have some sort of power is because the assumptions within them go unchallenged. Questions have a way of helping you bring light to the darkness. Once illuminated you have some choices to make. Adopt new ones or continue with old.

There are many other questions you can ask, ‘ How do you know?’ ‘Who says’ or ‘According to whom?’ “How specifically does X cause Y?’ or “How do you know this causes that?’ ‘How does thinking this limit me?’ ‘How does X mean Y?’ ‘How does thinking this stop me from doing what I want?’ ‘Whose fault is it that I have this problem?’

‘How does this limitation benefit me?’ ‘What can I learn from this limitation or problem, or negative thought?’ ‘What seed of opportunity or advantage can I discover hidden within this?’ There are other questions.

Realize it is your choice. At some point you just let it go. IF you could be, do and have anything you want in the world why would you ever let a negative thought stop you? Yup, there might be that answer? BUT so what, that answer is only another thought.

Who Is Wearing Your Pants?

YOU could be, do and have anything you want in the world. It’s unlimited. Give yourself permission! Allow yourself to discover who you are without limitations. Seek the positive, the highest good for yourself and everyone else and enjoy what life offers.

In addition to the previous questions you can also ask,  ‘What do I want?’ ‘When, where and with whom do I want it?’  ‘What positive benefits and opportunities are there for me to explore?  ‘When I get what I want, what else will improve?’

What stops me from having the what I want already?’ (Yep, this question again explores the negative, limitation, or problem aspect of any situation) ‘What resources do I have to help me achieve what I want?’ or ‘In how many different ways am I resourceful?’

Time For You To Realize You Are In Charge – You Decide

‘What are the many different ways I am able to overcome it being a limitation?’ ‘What am I going to do to accomplish my goals and dreams?’ ‘What can I easily do to begin making it happen?’ ‘What will I do next?’ ‘How much fun can I have making my dreams come true?’

Don’t suck for your paradigm.  Don’t suck for a cluster of limiting beliefs you unconsciously adopted while growing up. Don’t let negativity and limitations hold you back from the positive good things in life. BUT treat them all lightly. They are not big things even when they may seem like it. They are what they are. Routine, patterned though habits.

There are not things in your unconscious you need to get rid of. If you worry about your paradigm you will worry about your paradigms and create another problem for yourself. Don’t be silly in this way. Others want you worried about your paradigms but you need not be. Be free instead! Be free. Enjoy life and have fun!

They are simply, old habits, familiar, comfortable ways of thinking because you didn’t think differently. Yes, they are traps, but they are only thought habits. They hold fast but they are no big deal. YOU can overcome negative thought habits and create new powerful positive thought habits. Let go of them. Keep it simple. Have fun. Enjoy!

Just remember to THINK that they are easy. THINK this will be easy. THINK This is easy. You probably have already thought for years that they are difficult. THIS TIME, right NOW, you determine how it is going to be instead of letting them call the shots.

When You Drop Your Keys You Don’t Try To – You Just Drop Them

Decide it will be easy and it will be a heck of a lot easier than if you decide it will be hard. That is how this thing works. Do not take them seriously or make an issue of them. Determine to keep it simple, easy, fun and free and it will be. Put your energy into what you want!

Declare yourself to bigger, larger, freer. You are unlimited. You are powerful. Assert it, affirm it, declare it with gusto and you will be! Remember, whatever you affirm negatively you will end up with too. You decide what you will affirm and declare. YOU make it so! You are the one who decides what and how life will be! Make it what YOU want!” Rex Sikes

You Get Exactly What You Accept; Nothing More Or Less!

“Do you want more from your career, your relationships and your life? Would you like to be the best you you can be? Would you like to be more successful and happy?

Do you want better health and fitness, wealth and adventure, fun and enjoyment? Would you like things to simply work out and be more delightful?  Well, guess what:

Not much more need be said does it? Life gives you what you ask and expect from it. YOU should set the terms not accept them. You determine your circumstances. You dictate how things will be. That is what it means to be a deliberate, intentional creator.

You either live richly or poorly. It is completely up to you and no one else. Yet, most people blame everyone and everything else. The truth is, it is up to you! If you are living in lack it is because you have accepted living that way.

If you want something else make something else happen. It is not about working harder it is about thinking smarter. Think and Grow Rich is the title of the book NOT work hard and grow rich.

NO, it does not mean you don’t do anything at all it means YOU take control and you make it happen. Everything first begins with your thoughts.

Know your destination. Set your course and keep going until you get there. Never stop, never give up and you will one day successfully arrive. Settle for nothing less. The reason you don’t have a million dollars is you don’t SEE YOURSELF with a million dollars, yet.

Determine to positively have the ife you want and deserve. If you want a better life thought precedes action. Think Rich and become rich. There is a formula.  Begin today!”Rex Sikes

What The Athlete Knows And Does That You Don’t Is Critical!

“I consult for movies,TV, online digital content, actors etc. and showbiz. Of course, I act, produce and direct too. I also consult for others from all walks of life as a mentor and coach. Every now and then I get a email or a post from a showbiz website, or from a client that I respond to, and think, I can share this with my blog readers.

Today, I thought I’d share one of my brief responses. It can be applied to anything, any career, and anyone. It is a simple message expressing encouragement. I enjoyed the persons’s response too. It was very cool and great to receive back. I have not included their quest or comments.

‘Thanks and hello. Yes,  I know the feeling. It seems it can be tough. I am going to point you to a brief blog of mine being published on 11/30/15  You Have Been  Conditioned To Fail But You Don’t Have To.

Persistence is the attribute or characteristic that separates the haves from the have nots. Those who win from those who give up along the way. Mindset and attitude we largely inherit and then make it our own as we grow up. It is a blend of influences from others and our experiences.

We get, from others, the initial input, then we make that our own. Experience then either confirms or it doesn’t what we hold in our mind. Typically, because how the brain works, we find what we already believe. The Reticular Activating System (RAS) functions to find what we expect to find. Our brains support what we believe BY DEFAULT!

So in order to stop losing and start winning one has to condition oneself to win the same way an athlete conditions oneself to compete and win. They have to get up each day whether or not they feel like it and train. Whether OR NOT they feel like it!

Nothing can stand in the way if they want a shot at olympic gold. That is just the way it is. Sweat, hard work, diet, sleep and exercise. A regime they do for years to be ready. They have to overcome OLD habits and create news ones they adhere to regardless of what comes up.

Most of us try and give up shortly there after. We find excuses rather than reasons to continue. If we want to win at whatever we do we must condition our mind and prepare ourselves. We need to develop new, positive,supportive habits to keep us going. We create new neural pathways.

Nothing happens over night especially in show business. It can be brutal and is fraught with rejection.

Those who get to the top, when you listen to them, most almost always say, they knew they would succeed they just had to get through all the dark times first. They knew it first and expected to succeed! That kept them going and their brain (RAS) found reasons to continue during their darkest times. One needs to develop the habit of self confidence!

Success is built on failure. In failure we learn what not to do, as well as, what we could otherwise do. There are always lessons and if we are wise we learn from them and continue the pursuit. There is opportunity and advantage in every setback if we look for it.

If you are meant to do it you will do it if you keep the passion flamed and your belief in yourself strong. Never quit.

IF on the other hand this is really not your calling then perhaps look into something that makes you feel fully alive.

No one has to be in show business except those who HAVE to be. If you have to be then nothing will stop you; Not economics, politics, the weather, others, circumstances or events. It can be daunting at times but there are ways through that.

If you are meant to succeed, inside your own heart, then you will find the way, the reasons, the fire and fuel to keep going no matter how difficult. You will dictate the circumstances rather than letting them dictate you. You will exercise your personal power to positively push through.

Attitude, positive thinking and optimism don’t guarantee success but negativity certainly doesn’t. Positive thinking and optimism make it easier and more likely though. Learn how to take control of your thoughts and feelings and live as the emperor you were born to be.

Read my blog.  Get other inspirational material and fill your mind daily with I CAN DO IT thinking. Then do it step by step and you will eventually get there. Meanwhile, all the best wishes. This is my 2 cents.’

And there you have it. My response to someone who reached out. Whenever we face opposition and setbacks, disappointment and difficulty it becomes easy to throw in the towel unless we find the reasons within for continuing to move forward. The person, who reached out, found it within.

This is another reason why optimism and positivity work. Our mindset is critical! Gratitude and celebration of all things will keep us going too. Remember always to be thankful and celebrate!” Rex Sikes

You Have Been Conditioned To Fail But You Don’t Have To!

“Have you been conditioned for failure? Sadly, the answer is yes. You were not born to fail but you learned it from well meaning people who were around you as you grew up. Since, you learned to fail there is something that can be done about it.

Consider this. A toddler, when learning to walk, falls many times. It does not stop trying. Nothing prevents it. It keeps going until it masters walking. The young child did this with rolling over, crawling, sitting up and feeding herself. It did this many times with many learnings.

Only later through communication with others does a child learn what success or failure is. It becomes an event. The child learns right, wrong, good, bad. It learns judgement and evaluations from others. The child learns about winning and losing.

At this time in the young person’s development f something doesn’t work out it is wrong. It is a failure and bad. Judgements are imposed on efforts made from the outside.

Soon the child learns to make these assessments and label attempts that aren’t fruitful. Before long the child tries once, twice, three times and quits. Worse before long the child may label him or herself based on these trials.

Brains that fire together wire together. The more you judge the easier it becomes to make judgements.The more you quit the easier it becomes because you develop the neural pathways the habits for quitting. The more you succeed the more you develop the neural pathways and habits for winning.

Your brain doesn’t care which you choose. Your brain will do whatever you give it to do. If you prefer being a winner, train your brain, and you will be a winner. Otherwise, what is your option?

You were born a winner. Don’t stop being one because you have learned to quit. Learn again to win. Learn to persist until you do succeed. Stop thinking of yourself as anything other than a winner.

Your mindset, you attitude, how you feel about yourself will determine how much you ‘go for it’. Persistence separates the winners from the losers. If the goal is to cross the finish line the only one who is a failure is the one who quits and never crosses.

The infant encounters temporary defeat but keeps on doing until she succeeds. You can too. All failure IS only temporary unless you quit. Then it is permanent. Then you have given up.

Never give up on your positive goals and dreams. Adjust your plans, attempt another way or route but keep on going until you get there. You can do it. Be the champion you were born to be. Be the victor you are and triumph over circumstances.” Rex Sikes

Why You Always Find It In The Last Place You Look

“There is an old joke I am going to make a blonde joke. It’s fair I was born a blonde. A blonde is rummaging in the house muttering ‘I can’t find my keys.’  Her husband asks, “Where did you last have them?’ ‘Outside’, she replies, ‘but the light is better in here.’

This is a perfect example of what most of us do. We look everywhere but where we need to. ‘What you lost is always in the last place you look’. While designed to be a humorous (and obvious) statement it is also true. Often, we don’t find things until the last place we look, because we hadn’t considered looking there until then.

We don’t consider looking where it actually may be until late in the search. The reason it is so difficult for you and me is we are brought up told to look in all the wrong places. We look outside ourself, we look at parents, teachers, peers. We are taught to look outside ourselves.

You Are Where Your Thoughts Have Brought You

We learn from example as well. We adopt behaviors we see others engage in and make them our own. Then we look to other people, circumstances, the weather, the economy, the government; we look to religion and god. We look to events and results. We are never much encouraged to look within ourself and find.

We are not encouraged to take responsibility for ourselves. We learn to blame, whine and criticize. We exclaim, ‘somebody ought to do something! There ought to be a law!’  Is it any wonder then that many of our politicians, of the past number of decades, lie, cheat, and blame everything except themselves for their foibles.

When it comes down to it we expect them to fess up, own up and state, ‘I alone acted this way. I am responsible and I am accountable’. The buck never actually seems to stop where it belongs to stop. Even then, we ‘know’ they are just saying that to get out if it.

The buck actually needs to stop with each us. Each of us needs to take 100% responsibility for what we think, feel and do. Since, we are taught to look everywhere and assign responsibility to everything except where it belongs, it makes it difficult for us to be deliberate creators.

You Will Be Where Your Thoughts Take You

We doubt and have fear and worry things might not happen as we hope they will because we don’t think we have any control. It seems difficult to be a deliberate creator because we have never been responsible for anything. We need to overcome our own conditioning. We have to get past our habits of blaming others.

We are distracted and unfocused.  Since we learned to assign responsibility to anything and everything outside of us we are not in control but subject to the whims of whomever or whatever. We are like little boats without sails being bounced around by the sea.

Drifting, with little power of our own. Is it any wonder the Law Of Attraction doesn’t seem to work. Instead of creating what we want we are filled with mostly less than glorious, habitual, routine patterns of negative thought.

We blame the universe instead of deliberately creating something that we do want. We tolerate or hate our circumstances instead of creating something different. We were never told, and it was never reinforced, that we create out reality. We are responsible for our results and circumstances but we didn’t know that.

You Cannot Escape The Consequences Of Your Thoughts

Come what may we are in charge. It is up to each of us whether we sink or swim. If we want to swim we can. We can learn how and we are able. Those are not the messages most of us get. So most of us put responsibility for our success and happiness on others and other things outside ourself.

If you expect others to make you happen; if you expect events to fulfill you then you may be in deep trouble when it comes to romantic and familial relationships. The other person can complement you but don’t expect the other person to be your reason for being happy. We contribute to each other, only.

We should take 100% responsibility for our circumstances and lot in life. We should take 100% responsibility for all of our decisions. If we were poorly informed then we should take 100% responsibility for not bothering to get better information. Our life is NOT anyone else’s responsibility. We shouldn’t expect them to make us happy or successful.

To take full responsibility, for good or bad, no matter what the case, means we can do something about it. When we pass the buck we deny our own ability to take charge and in control. When we keep telling ourself again and again someone or something else is to blame our subconscious gets that we aren’t in charge.

Thoughts Are Things

DO you get that? If you give away all your power your subconscious will agree with you that you are powerless. Remember, it is a faithful servant who says yes and looks to prove you correct by finding proof in the outer world. Instead of being a victor you will remain a victim and convinced you are one.

If we decide we aren’t powerful and can’t change things then that means we have to accept whatever is, even if we don’t like it. It is out of our control.  Everything and everyone else affects us. We are helpless to make changes. Basically, we are hopeless too. WHO would ever want to live this way?

When we have the opportunity to decide to use the law of attraction and make things happen we are previously conditioned to not be a creator but to be a reactor to outside influences. We want to create but our brain says others do that. See how insidious this conditioning can be. It is habit. It is routine. It is familiar.

People will do what is familiar and comfortable far more than they will do anything that feels uncomfortable for them. That means, if suffering is what they are used to they will continue because it is more comfortable to continue that to change it. WOW, right?

What You Think About You Bring About

When we think ‘I want more money’ and prior conditioning chimes in with, ‘well that will never happen. The economy sucks’. Or, ‘I pay to much in taxes’. Or, ‘I don’t deserve to be rich’. Or,  ‘all rich people are greedy’ ‘The powerful have made it impossible for the rest of us to get ahead’. Any number of limiting beliefs rush to the surface.

If we see something we want and think, ‘I can’t afford it’ your subconscious says, ‘right you are! Yes, YOU cannot afford it’ IT is too expensive for you’. You subconscious, as mentioned, will agree with you and seek to find you additional prove as to why you can’t. It will scour through your past and present to present you example.

WHAT you THINK and WHAT you SAY is what you get! The reason you don’t have a million dollars is because you can’t SEE yourself with a million dollars. You don’t SAY to yourself , ‘I am rich and a millionaire’ and imagine what that is like. If you can’t fully imagine it being yours, now in the present, you won’t have it. In order to behave in a reality you must first conceive of that reality!

Instead, you see the bills. You entertain the circumstances  of not having enough. You focus on lack and not being able to afford things. You react automatically to not having enough. You think life is otugh and hard.  You fret, worry, and doubt you will be able to make your payments. Still, you struggle and hope that you do so the bank doesn’t foreclose or repossess.

You Get What You Focus On

What you have not done is to decide to be in complete charge of you and everything in your life. You haven’t yet decided to create that wealth no matter what.

As long as you think and act from lack you will always not get what you want. As long as you try to avoid what you don’t want you will only create more and attract more of what you don’t want. As long as you put the responsibility elsewhere you will keep missing out! You must recognize YOU have to be in charge and determine what you will create!

You need to determine what will fill your mind with and how you will feel most of the time. You need to choose what you will think, see, say and feel! You need to become the emperor you were always meant to be. Be strong and powerful. Be determined and focused. Otherwise, you live from victim mentality and lose out.

The last place people look is to their own power. The last place they look is to  their own subconscious mind and thoughts. People were not taught to rely on their own subconscious, not because it isn’t powerful, BUT because it is! You can’t be a sheeple if you are in charge of your own thoughts and identity.

If You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

NO nation needs a citizenry of individuals and leaders. Nations need sheeple who are the worker bees, who don’t make waves, who can be controlled. Hence, the great deception from long ago. There are the have’s and then there are the rest. We live in a feudal world.

There are the leaders and then the followers, there are owners and the workers.  I bet right now you may be thinking, ‘but of course that’s how things are’. Yes, they are AND they could be otherwise! The POWERS don’t want leaders.  Too many cooks spoil the broth. They want sheeple, worker bees.

Instead of being told you have an incredible brain, you can learn and do anything; you are completely resourceful; you can be completely self determining while working in collaboration with others, you are told you need to go to school, get a job and settle down.

Live as best you can, stay out of trouble, retire, and die. Work 40 hours a week for 40 years to get 40% pension. That  pension, which now, no longer really exists. They are taking that away. We have been deceived. You have been deceived.  Alright, enough about the great deception. You may or may not believe it anyway.

Do Not Be Deceived

The point is to become self determining! You should absolutely believe in is yourself. If you don’t believe what I write here investigate it and learn the science and history behind it. You really should be informed as to what is going on. Look through the lies and really search it out.

Within YOU is amazing power to be, do and have whatever you want! You don’t know that or you don’t know how to use that because you didn’t grow up knowing how to. You just weren’t informed, so it is the last place you look. It is okay because you can change all that.

Just because you didn’t get exposed to it early on doesn’t mean you can’t do something about it now. While, it may have been ideal to have been brought up that way, face it, most likely you weren’t. Can’t cry about water over the damn. That train left the station. Get with the current program and learn to do it now! Now is all you have!

Look to yourself. Learn to utilize your own power. Make your life what you want it to be. Live as you have dreamed. Don’t be stingy with yourself or loved ones. Don’t be a victim or a blamer or wimp. Take responsibility and take charge of your life. You may only have one go around so make it count.

Every Limitation Is An Illusion – Every Excuse A Lie

Don’t live beneath who you are or your means. Live as an emperor. Live as a victor and a champion. Never say or speak about what you do not want. Only think and talk about WHAT YOU DO WANT AND CAN DO.  DON’T waste time in gossip or complaints. Stop, no longer focus on less than glorious circumstances.

Imagine fully and feel all the wonderful feelings, wanting what you do want. Only think about what you want to bring about Focus your attention and your energy. Get you brain working for you the way you want it to. Accept nothing less.

Do not be haphazard. Don’t let the old habitual ways you learned to work from others dictate who you are or what you do. Napoleon Hill stated, ‘if you can conceive it and believe it you can achieve it.’ Think it into being. Believe it is possible and you can and you will do whatever it takes to bring it about. Be strong and persist.

If You Really Want To Do Something You Will Find The Reasons

What To Do After You Give Thanks!

“Did you enjoy giving thanksgiving?  Were you able to get together with family and friends. That is a reason to celebrate and be glad.

If you took time to feel grateful for all the good things in your life, do it again. Do it today. Then do it again and again. Count your blessings. What do you do after you give thanks? Give thanks again!

Feel the gratitude. Celebrate those feelings. When you do you make room for there to be more in your life. Like attracts like. When you look for and find people, events and circumstances to appreciate you get back more.

Keep giving thanks! Keep feeling the thankfulness. Wonderful things will happen as you do. Appreciate the tough times for what you can learn by going through them. Every moment is a moment to be thankful for and an opportunity to feel grateful. Keep it up!

If it helps to make a list make one. List big and small things to feel thankful for. First thing in the morning and right before you go to bed are great times to put your thoughts on gratefulness. Never let the sun go down feeling bad, irritated or angry with yourself, another or circumstances. Feel good, feel great when going to sleep.

That is time when your subconscious mind processes, clears, renews for the next day. If you are filled with joy, love, peace and happiness; if you energy is on all good and wonderful moments you had during your day, you set yourself up for more in the next day. If angry or sad, you set yourself up for more of that same the following day too.

You get what you focus on. It does actually expand. Your subconscious mind gets the messages you give it by your images and what you say to yourself and others. The most powerful delivery vehicle for those messages are your feelings. SO when you are upset with people and circumstances your subconscious goes, ‘okay I get it. This is what you want more of.’ It then works to deliver more of the same.

If you want more good things you have to feel more good things more of the time so your unconscious delivers that instead of the crappy things. Do you get this? There is a reason to think positive and feel good most of the time. YOU actually do get back what you put out there. You become what you think about. That is why! Beyond this fact, it feels good to mostly feel good. Make your moments count. They either work for you or against you. Celebrate!

Enjoy all life offers. It is what is is. The serenity prayer includes, ‘…change the things I can, accept the things I cannot change and the wisdom to know the difference’. What is IS! Celebrate and enjoy. If you can’t change it don’t fight it. What you resist persists. Know when to stop and appreciate. Perhaps, in doing that, it will change. I would bet it does. Trying to change things all the time can be the problem too. Accept, enjoy, celebrate and discover. Then celebrate some more!” Rex Sikes

Try This! What True Gratitude Will Do For You

“What is gratitude all about? Why do we celebrate being thankful? How is it beneficial? There are a number of positive and powerful reasons.

Some people keep a gratitude list or do a daily challenge. This is a great practice BUT it is not about the list. It is all about the feeling the list produces. Make the list AND feel grateful for each item.

Let’s face it. Everything is energy. Everything is energy appearing solid. We rarely have much intersection with energy, as science describes it, because we live in what appears to be a solid world.

What You Think About You Bring About

Ancients called our world view Maya or illusion. That which you think you are you are not. You don’t see things as they really are. You see things through your neurological filters and paradigms or belief clusters or systems.

You think you know what reality is but you are actually far removed from what is real. That is why the ancients say you live in illusion. You, me, and most everyone thinks the illusion is the reality but it is not.

Few of us become aware of what ‘reality’ is.  All of us can.  All of us could, but we don’t. When we do we don’t all do it at the same time, either. Anyway, this is an area of large philosophical discussion which we can save for another time. The point is we are energy beings in a world of energy.

Energy Begets Energy

Everything is energy! Feelings are energy. There is less than glorious or low, slow, sluggish and negative energy.mThere is light, high, fast, positive energy. The goal is to feel the positive, wonderful energy more of the time.

Why? Because when you do we feel better, you think and perform better and enjoy life more. Good feelings produce more good feelings. That is how it works. Sadly, there will be those who believe you can’t feel good all of the time. I say, if that is how you wish to live carry on. Just don’t rain on anyone else’s parade.

Would you want to feel good more of the time? Do you? If so here is how you do it. Think on those things that make you feel good. Concentrate on those elements in your present life, as well as the past and future, for which you feel blessed and glad.

You Become What You Think About Most

Recall and concentrate on those people, places, activities, events, circumstances, and attributes, that make you feel good and happy. The more time you spend ACTUALLY appreciating these the better you will feel. You WILL feel better more often. The more time we spend feeling good the more time we get to feel good.

That is the reason for making a daily list of things you FEEL grateful for. Since, birds of a feather flock together, the more you are grateful the more you find to be grateful. The more you find the better you feel. It grows on itself.

The feelings are the most important. Some people can make a list without feeling much of anything. That is not what true gratitude is. Truly, being grateful results in powerful and profound feelings. How would you feel if someone spared your life? Lucky, glad, grateful! I bet you would!!

The More We Do The More We Can Do

The biggest boon to your evolution is to be truly grateful for everything regardless of your circumstances. Count everything as a blessing. Why? Because you are limited by what you can’t see and you can’t see everything.

Illusion! You can’t, yet, see the unexpected good to come from trying circumstances. If you only see the troubles you truly deceive yourself. Every adversity has, within it, the seed of something positive and opportunity.

It just may not appear for awhile. Remember, what you focus on you get. What are you looking at? If you are looking at your dire circumstances you are forgetting about the things you are grateful for. Stay focused on what you are grateful for while passing through the circumstances.

Action Is The Proper Fruit Of Knowlege

Look to what you can be grateful about. Be grateful for anything and everything. When you can live with gratitude and appreciation for everything; even when circumstances are dire or your results less than glorious, is when you have transformed yourself in powerful, positive ways beyond limitation.

You live more enlightened. You are more enlightened. Whatever would have gotten you down, no longer does. You are filled with celebration and thankfulness because you have transformed yourself.

You are living the good life as you are meant to live. Your brain and mind and body is healthier and more efficient.  You can do things with greater ease and flow because your energy is freed up from struggle to be more creative.

What You Focus On Expands

It is positive and powerful instead of negative and powerful. When you are feeling great in this way you are vibrating high, positive, life affirming, energy. So life is good; life is great and life is grand!

This is why you want to be thankful. This is why you feed your mind positive thoughts. This is why you celebrate, even the little you have, because when you do you find more, you are capable of more and you get more. The Reticular Activating System (RAS) finds the positive wonderful, glorious things to match.

You Get Back What You Put Out

This is why you become what we think about. What you think about you bring about. What you focus on expands. You get what you focus on. SO be grateful! Truly, grateful. Focus on those things that make you feel great to be alive, that bring a tear to your eye and fill you up ecstatically!

Gratitude. Celebration. Appreciation. Love. Joy. Blessings. Count them, enjoy them, feel them, savor them! Let your cup run over with goodness and well being. Have a happy thanksgiving each and every moment of every day.” Rex Sikes

How To Live Up To Your Full Potential! Accept Nothing Less!!

“Imagine you were born prince or princess in line to be king or queen. What messages do you suppose you would get from birth on? Perhaps, you’d hear, ‘You descended from a royal, entitled bloodline’. ‘You are different and better than everyone else’. ‘You are destined to greatness’.  All because you were born to the right parents.

‘You can be, do and have everything you want’. ‘You are wealthy and powerful’. ‘Your world is your oyster’. Imagine hearing messages like this again and again. Imagine begin told ‘price is no objec’; that ‘you have everything within you’; that ‘you are special just because you are special’. ‘You are a have and not a have not’.

Imagine you received these as healthy messages and did not become an incredible snob.  Imagine the messages royalty and the privileged and the wealthy have received from birth on. What must it be like to grow up like that? I explore this concept with no first hand experience. It is all conjecture.

You Are Where Your Thought Have Brought You

Whether you grew up in royal families in European. Middle Eastern or Asian countries or as one of the privileged, American blue blood, silver spooners you’d have access to the best of everything. You’d enjoy the best food, clothes, homes, cars, schools, medicine, vacations, career paths, elite and powerful friends and connections.

You’d be exposed to the best and cost would never be a consideration. You’d grow up much differently than most of the world’s children. Stay on the healthy side of this, if all the messages and experiences were healthy and one grew up well adjusted what an incredible experience this would be.

While it is no guarantee the child will grow up healthy, of sound mind and body, and not wholly screwed up by that burden, keep considering the positive side to this upbringing. Those who have never been there can criticize and it may be apt to do so. Still, imagine, if you will, the powerful, positive messages one gets.

The powerful and the rich; the blue bloods wherever they are from, set themselves apart. They live and think and and behave differently. They feel different. Perhaps, they are, they have intermarried for centuries.

You Will Go Where Your Thoughts Take You

It is how they think about themselves, the world and opportunity that is critical to our understanding. They believe they are entitled to the best of everything and that they can and will have it. Most likely they don’t wonder if they can do or have something.

They don’t question if can afford it, or if it is possible or even likely. If they want it they get it. Why? Because that is who they are and what they are capable of. This is WHY the rich and the poor ARE different.  They think differently. They have different sets of assumptions, beliefs, concerns.

This is why the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. They think and feel and behave differently. They expect things to take place. They don’t question these will  happen. They believe without doubt or hesitation because, maybe, they never ever had to. They are used to getting what they want.

These are grossly oversimplified generalizations, you understand, There are always exceptions to every generalization BUT do you get it? How we were raised determines part of our future course. How we view the world and ourselves is important! We either highly value and believe in ourselves or we don’t.

We think of the world as either a rich, wonderful, abundant place or we don’t. It is either a place of plenty or one of lack. There is more to go around or there isn’t. People can have anything they want or they can’t. You can make anything happen or you aren’t able to. Whatever you believe determines how you live and move in the world.

Before you go and blame the universe for not birthing you  into a royal blood line realize, in fact, that you were. You are a one of the royals. The royals are only so called royal because they declared it when they gained power. Those who became leaders from different tribes set themselves apart from others and then only married other leaders offspring from other tribes. It was economics. It was power.

You Cannot Escape The Power Of Your Thoughts

They believed it was necessary to preserve their kind. BUT we are all star children. We all come from the same big bang. Truly, we are all made of the same stuff! Everything is made from the same stuff! We live inside a close but every expanding universe. Nothing is added or taken away.

Race, religion, nationality, politics, economy, blood lines are all human made. They do not exist apart from human beings. Classification is a human activity. So is inclusion and exclusion. There is really no such thing except we have made them real because we think they are real. These aren’t. These are fiction.

So stop blaming your parents, teachers, friends, peers, circumstances, events, strangers and life in general for not dealing you a better hand realize it doesn’t matter. Whatever your lot; whatever you starting point; we are all made of the same stuff and the same universal laws govern us equally. No one is better than another for any reason. All reasons are simply human justifications.

The rich and poor are both subject to gravity. Electricity works the same way for both of them. It rains and shines on rich and poor. The universe doesn’t make the distinctions humans make. Neither does your brain. Your brain and the universe simply say ‘yes’. They don’t judge, discriminate or evaluate.

You Become What You Think About All Day Long

If you think you are stupid and can’t do anything your brain and the universe will agree. Actually, so will I and probably many others. If you think you are smart and capable to learn anything and can do anything you put your mind to the universe and your brain will go yes. EVEN if I, and others, were to disagree.

So you got some less than glorious messages. Big deal! SO did the young kings and queens. They may have gotten more positive messages, in some regards, but I am sure it is not all a cake walk. It probably is pretty tough growing up in some of those shadows. So it doesn’t matter.

What does matter is that you stop believing less than glorious messages you may have received. Start believing, and living from, positive powerful messages you could have received. Live from power and glory not weakness and ineptitude. Imagine living as a kind or queen, become an emperor in your own mind. Live it! Do it!

Become a benevolent, humble ruler of your own life and adopt the best of all possible worlds. Live large and remain kind. Let no thought prevent you from positive action that benefits and is good for all. Be the person you want to be. Live as you want to live.

What You Think About You Bring About

You don’t have to take anything from anyone else, there is more than enough. The universe IS abundant.  So dream big and live large. Make room in your mind to be, do and have anything you want and then make it happen. Create it. It may take a while to get it but so what. If you really wanted it you would already be doing it.

Stop living from less than productive messages. Stop creating problems for yourself. Realize you are worthy, you are royal, you are in charge, you are deserving, you are exceptional. You are magnificent!  Why think anything less of yourself? You can be positive, powerful, humble and kind.

The incredible you I am describing already embodies that kind of understanding. The incredible you is more loving, peaceful, accepting, kind, and generous. You are rich but not a snob. You are powerful but not corrupted. You embody positive traits and values.

Imagine being the kind of wonderful person YOU WERE BORN TO BE. Imagine that your true nature has been obscured from you and it is your quest to discover the real you, the true you. You can and will and do find it within. Open your mind and your heart to who you already are and affirm it. Assert it and declare it.

What You Say Is What You Get

“I AM.” “I Have”. Two of the most powerful statements in language. Whatever follows each is what your reality will be. YOU determine this no matter where you come from. No matter what you past or you upbringing are. You decide who you are and what you have and what you will do. IT is all your responsibility and it has always been that way.

So who are you? Who do you claim to be? Victim or victor? Loser or Winner? Beggar or Emperor? Sick or Healthy? Lonely or Loving? Hateful or Peaceful? You determine it by your thoughts. What kind of thoughts are you thinking?

If they aren’t moving you forward, if they aren’t positive and productive, then they probably are not serving you very well. If you aren’t getting what you want, if your circumstances are messy then check your thinking and fix it.

From within so without. From above so below. Thinking precedes action.  Your thinking makes it so. Who are you? What are you capable of? What will you accomplish? What do you want? How can you benefit yourself and others? What good can you bring to the world?

Speak Only To Bless Heal And Prosper

When will you start? You decide. Because the decision is yours and yours alone. Will it be easy or hard because it will be whatever you decide it will be. If you think you can or you think you can’t you are right.  Your brain and the universe will agree with whatever decision you make. You will attract whatever you want or don’t want.

That IS how it works. So get with it. Understand how it works and then determine to use it wisely to make it work for you. You can’t violate or change the laws of gravity but you can learn how to use it to your benefit. Do the same with the law of attraction. Put it to good use and it will always do good by you.” Rex Sikes

How To Transform Troubles Into Amazing Opportunities

“What do you do when you are trying your best to be positive and someone or something comes along and seems to rain on your parade? There are times like that. You decided I will be positive and shortly thereafter find yourself in a funk or a fight. What do you do?

Realize that all great spirits encounter opposition. Obstacles are opportunities to learn and grow. Accept what is IS what is. You can’t push a rope. Understand it takes two to tango. Recognize you part in making it happen or continuing it.

Try to imagine the other person you may be in conflict in as a mirror, or holding up a mirror for you to see what YOU need to change. Learn from circumstances in the same way. Take it as ‘the universe’ is trying to get your attention to help make you a better person. It is trying to help you fulfill your dreams.

Everyone Everything Is A Mirror Held Up So You Can See You

Stop. Let go. Reflect instead of react. Realize what the message is and when ready respond instead. There may always be tough times. Living successfully and happily doesn’t necessitate the absence of obstacles it means learning and growing from them and with them.

Stop blaming others and circumstances. Stop whining and complaining. That is only more fuel for the fire. Accept the blame. Accept the responsibility for your part in all of it. EVEN if you don’t think you have any, look to see how you may be culpable. If honest, you will notice you are a part of it. Accept it. Go beyond it.

‘The kite rises against the wind’. People, events, circumstances are that wind. Your own inner conflicts can be that wind. Remember, when pushed there is push back. When you push back YOU are responsible for your reaction. Be willing to face your part in it.

What You Resist Persists

It takes two opposing sides to fight. The world and you, the other and you. You against you. You against the world or the other. It is normal but you don’t have to fight. You aren’t weak if you don’t push back you are far stronger. You are far superior.

You are far smarter and wiser if you know which battles to fight and which to not. You are far stronger turning the other cheek. Do you realize how much ‘let go’ there is in being able to actually turn the other cheek?  Do you understand how evolved you must truly be to forgive honestly? Seek to be able to do this and you will truly benefit.

Most people don’t actually forgive, truly let go, or are capable of turning the other cheek without resentment. Imagine a world when you could be free enough, secure enough, loving enough, of yourself and others you could do that. You would actually be free!

The Kite Rises Against The Wind

The strong person isn’t concerned with their ego being bruised; does not play one up one down power games; does not try to assert their power in order to triumph over family, friends, colleagues or strangers. That strong person knows there is no need. What is IS.

The strong, wise person seeks to accept, love and understand; to rise above the ‘disagreement’ and realize the stakes each has in it and simply not participate in further aggravating the situation. Yes, it is a road less traveled. That is certain.

How does one disengage when all our hot buttons are pushed and inflamed. When we are hot and emotional. THAT is the ability we need to learn and the only way we learn it is by stepping out of it. We need to become aware when we are a partner to it.

When You Drop Something You Drop It You Don’t Try To Drop It

When we, in that moment, recognize we are part of perpetuating it, we can STOP. I use the analogy of being stuck in traffic. When stuck, you can sit and stew, fighting it won’t change it. It won’t and you know that is true. But what do you do?  You can use the time productively to relax and enjoy. To chill while waiting.

It doesn’t matter if you need to be somewhere. If traffic isn’t moving it isn’t moving. That is what is. Accept it, get over it, get on with living life. There are other things to pay attention to. There are other things far more important and enjoyable than time spent blaming the world because you are stuck in traffic. IF you can’t do anything about it LET IT GO!

The same is true when you are in a hurry. The slow asshole in front of you isn’t that slow, you are that sped up. You are pushing traffic trying to make your way through. Stop. Going faster won’t get you there that much quicker. You are all riled up. YOU are the issue not the traffic. YOU are late because of YOU no other reason.

You Can’t Push A Rope

We can interrupt the pattern. We can stop the cycle. We can take a break, a deep breath, we can stop. We can slow down, walk away. It may take time to cool down completely it usually does. The other may insist on continuing, circumstances may persist but we have stopped. Allow yourself to cool down. Endeavor to keep peace.

We learn ‘let it go’. In doing this whenever we get ‘hooked’, if we can become aware and wriggle free we are learning and evolving. The time between the trigger, getting hooked , and getting free will lessen.

We will learn to let go sooner rather than later. Eventually, we come to our senses because our senses are freed up and not engaged in anger and hostility. Learning to get free and let go and not continue to create drama by participating in it IS A process. We evolve.

Stop Take A Deep Breath And Let Go – Breath – Get Free

More clearly are we able to see. When we are free of anger and stress our brain works better. Our eyes work better. Literally. Stress, fight or flight, constricts our abilities to only focus on survival. It narrows our senses to focus on immediate need.

When dealing with most people, most all of the time, survival is not an actual issue. Though we perceive it as one physically. The brain doesn’t know the difference between a real and imagined image or a real or imagined threat. The brain and body respond the same to a perceived or real image or threat. That is a blessing and a limitation.

So when troubles come your way in the form of a family member, friend or stranger there is something to be learned. When events and circumstances are not to our liking a message is being delivered. Even if that is not actually true, if you act as if it is, you will be better off in the long run because you will become more self aware.

Let Go And Let God

Seek the road less traveled. Find the higher ground. Let go of troubles and woes and do not participate in trauma drama. Seek instead to feel better and help everyone else feel better too. Seek to think and feel positive and happy most of the time.

You can’t if you are upset and cursing the world and others. So ‘let go and let god’, as the saying goes. Trust it will all work out without you trying to manage and fix it. Trust and enjoy that all will be okay if you don’t get hot, bothered and angry. Enjoy, feel good and have fun.

Then you and life transforms. Problems, while there will lessen. You will spend more time able to focus on what you want and not get caught in what you don’t want or want to avoid. You can focus more on what you intend to create. So celebrate whenever you notice.

Deliberate Creation Is To Create Only What You Intend To Create

Use the fact that the brain can’t tell the difference between a real and imagined image to visualize the future you want! See it. Imagine it as if you already have the good you desire. This is how you use how the brain works to get what you want.

Create the future in your mind as a present reality. See it, affirm it, feel it fully! That is how you get it! What you see is what you get. What you say is what you get. What you feel is what you get. Feel how good it feels to live that life in your mind’s eye. Enjoy it!

Celebrate!  Celebrate whenever you become aware and get unhooked and walk away from a fight you need not participate in. Let go and live free. Spend your time in gratitude and loving life. When others and circumstance challenge you realize it is an opportunity to go beyond what you already know and into an entirely new way of being.” Rex Sikes

Successful People Know Why You Need To Read And Write. Do You?

“What is one of the best practices you can engage in? Reading. You would think everyone does it but the numbers of people who actually read to improve themselves is unbelievably low by comparison. The estimate is fewer than 10% read past the first chapter of a book. Some never even pick one up.

Would it be better to read a short 300 word paragraph than nothing at all? It might be. To read anything positive and motivational even if it is only a sentence a day is better than nothing. If you can do more than that it is better. Time spent in reading positive material is important. Time spent. Not just the reading.

Just as writing by hand is far superior to typing on a keyboard. When you write you make numerous neural connections, thousands. When you type you make 8 repetitive movements. Handwriting is called brain writing for a reason. It makes you smarter and helps you retain more when you write.

So read and take notes on what you read. Then re-read what you read. Re-read what you wrote. Re-write what you wrote and re-read. Study makes a difference. Repeated reading and study is of great value. When you read and then go back later you will notice things you hadn’t previously.

You may make new connections with the material for years by re-reading. Learning each time something new. When you re-visit your notes and re-write or re-word them later on you learn so much more. These are good, worthwhile, health practices to help you develop, grow and evolve.

I write long posts instead of 300 words because if you can’t take 5 minutes to sit and read and get your best mind on in the morning you are already screwed. I do it to detain you and get you to think. I do it for you to start your day with some inspirational material.

I write so you can take some time to think about things that are important and can make a difference in your life. I write so you can sit and reflect, perhaps reflect on it all through the day. I write to give you something to eat, food for thought, and to digest.

If you need and get all your inspiration in an infographic or a sound byte you may be beyond hope. Not really, but heck, slow down. Stop perusing FB for bad news and disturbing pictures. Instead read my blog or something else that inspires you and points you in a positive and useful direction.

Fill your mind with good ideas, good news, to begin your day right. That is why my posts are longer. To hold you for a bit. To keep your attention on one topic for a few minutes. To end the fast edits, and quick bits that hammer us on TV, radio and the internet. To give you a pause and a rest from pop ups and flashing ads.

This is why I make them longer. SO you have to rest a moment before moving on. If you can’t read at least a page of positive material in the morning, wow, you need to re-evaluate your life. You should read for a few pages, five or more minutes. Heck choose positive material to read with your coffee instead of newspaper.

The more time you read positive material for yourself the better. Some people make a practice of reading the same chapter of Napoleon Hill everyday for a month, whether they feel like it or not. That is an excellent practice.

Repetition is the mother of skill. Repeat reading, in that fashion, is bound to help you to discover things and make deeper connections than reading only once or twice. It will also become much more memorable and immediate. The understanding you gain from such practice is valuable, perhaps priceless.

Read, fill your mind with positive, inspiring thoughts when you wake up. Start and end your day right. Celebrate what you are grateful for at the very same time. Let your first and last daily thoughts be glad ones. Your life will become so much more magical and delightful as you do. Read and enjoy! Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
