How To Overcome Your Problems And Start Living As You Would Like

“Would you like to overcome problems and improve your life? Most of us do. People turn toward positive thinking or the Law Of Attraction (LOA) for help. It does work. Yet, maybe you tried but it didn’t seem to work for you. Let’s attempt to help you with that.

Do you know what one of largest problems or issues with the power of positive thinking or the LOA is? It is huge and makes it nearly impossible to understand it.

Are you ready for this? Because even knowing what the issue is won’t necessarily help resolve the issue. Something else may, however.

The single biggest problem is language. Our words. We have to use words to try to convey principles that are much larger than their descriptors. Communication is the difficulty.

We See Through A Glass Dimly

Not between you and me, or you and another, or me and someone else, but in our very own understanding.  Our words cloud the issue. It is how we understand it as much as it is how it is described to us. Perhaps, even more, since we have to make sense of it.

Often times we speak of the LOA or positive thinking as becoming something different in the future. We can be, do and have anything we want. We must clarify it, set a deadline date and then by positive thinking and creating we make it happen.

That is accurate in some ways and not in others. It is a description as one side of a coin is one side of a coin. There is another side. While there are two sides to a coin their are multiple angles to view from.

The Thing Described Is Not The Thing

Often times we speak of allowing. We describe it as receiving, accepting and letting it happen. Sometimes we seem to say make it happen, while at other times we say, let it happen.

Confused, yet? Because some people ARE confused by this. It is as if one is saying chase it but don’t chase it. I most likely, will not add any great clarity either.

Still, another way of thinking about it is as a revelation. Your true nature and all the goodness and abundance within are already present in you. You just need to reveal it and accept it.

To Behave In A New Reality You Must First Conceive It Is Possible

Acknowledge you are everything and you have everything already. Physical reality seems to indicate otherwise. You must believe in the invisible, what you can’t yet see.

The sculpting of the statue of David example is appropriate. When asked how he carved Michelangelo allegedly replied, ‘Every block of stone has a statue in it and it is the task of the sculpture to discover it.’ Another quote has him saying ‘ I simply removed all that wasn’t David.’

You are already that which you seek. Well, how can this all be? How can you be it already and make it happen while letting go? AND there is the answer right there in the last sentence.

Ask And You Shall Receive

Of course, because we use words, it is tricky but you are already everything you want and need. You already have everything you want and need. You are complete already!

ONLY you don’t think you are so you chase things as if they were necessary to complete you. In doing so you keep from realizing your true nature. You merely miss it. Some keep missing it.

You don’t need anything. The thought, ‘yes, I do’, IS the thought that keeps it in the distance. That is why thought leaders keep making the point, you need to pay attention to the invisible not what you see.

You Are Already That

You need to keep you mind on within and not on the outer circumstances. What you are thinking about you are always bringing about. So in order to be who you are in reality and do and have what you want you need to focus on that.

THEN what you think about IS the you AND what you want to bring about. Most people are looking at their circumstances and bringing about more of the same. They bring about precisely what they don’t want.

Whether you make it happen or let it happen ends up being the same thing. Letting it happen doesn’t mean sitting in your room wishing it means doing everything you do in service of your dreams and goals while not getting in your own way.

I AM That I AM

These are your dreams and goals. The REAL you IS desperately trying to get your own attention to inform you ‘HEY, it is all already here. You are already really cool. I have all these things for you!’

Imagine for a second someone dropped a big pile of gold into your backyard without you knowing it. You keep getting email that says, ‘hey, do you have the gold I gave you?’  You keep answering, ‘no.’

They keep saying, ‘well, I left it for you.’  It is right there! BUT because you never think to look out back you don’t realize you are sitting on a fortune. You go on missing what is right there and available.

Have You Ever Set Your Keys Down Somewhere

So you go about living your impoverished life thinking people who tell you that you have gold are nuts. You have looked on your porch and it doesn’t work. You don’t and, everyone else, can see that you don’t.

Clearly, all you need to do is look out back and you would find it. Well, in the same way, all you need to do is look within.

Imagine, using our analogy, that your windows were dirty and it was difficult to see out back. Even if you looked out the windows you might not see what was there. Or because of where it was placed you couldn’t even see it from the windows.

Then Couldn’t See Where You Put Your Keys

BUT because you had windows it never occurred to you to walk out back and take a look because you could see it wasn’t there. Your view of the gold is obscured. It is out of view and hazy so even while it is actually there there you can’t see it.

You might have to clean the windows first. You might have to have the thought enter your mind, ‘go check in the backyard. Perhaps, you aren’t able to see everything.’

That may be a necessary for you to discover your riches. If you never do either of those you may sit and die on a truckload of gold. That would be a shame; to have all that and never realize it. Imagine not knowing.

I Had Them A Minute Ago. They Were Right Here!

Imagine, years go by and one day you go out back and you discover the gold. WOW! Suddenly you are rich! You have everything! Life is changed.

How long did that take for your life to transform? While it took years for you to get your ass out back it only took a second for the transformation from poor to rich to happen. In the blink of an eye everything was different. Still, you were rich all along.

So these words are inadequate. These words somewhat point to what is sort of going on. You are already everything you need to be. You have everything but you must look to find it.

Seek And You Will Find

You may have to search and it is right where you are. Accept that you already have it and that you will find it. Allow yourself to look. Allow yourself to get out of your own way. Claim it, even though you don’t yet see it.

Have you ever lost something, in the yard, for example. You know it is there. You are just unable to find it. Even though hours, days or years go by, you lost it in the yard. It went no where else. It is still right there. Somewhere? You just can’t see it. That is YOU!

You are a powerful creator and you create positive and negative experiences. Perhaps, one more than the other but you are doing it all the same. Once you realize that you are in charge things can begin to change. Awareness is the key.

It Is As Plain As The Nose On Your Face

How long does that take? It takes as long as it takes. Whenever it does though, the realization, will change everything in an instant. From then you will live with the awareness you were previously blind to.

The inner you, DAVID, will be released. In the meantime, keep looking or doing. That is okay. That is what we all do. It is as if, we are playing a game of hide and seek with ourselves. Seek and ye shall find!” Rex Sikes

Manifesting Miracles Challenge 101

“I’d like to point something out about the 24 hour Manifestation Challenge I spoke of in my last post. I know that many will think my finding 100 dollars was coincidence or synchronicity. It well may be. That doesn’t matter.

I shared the example hopefully, so some would understand that while I was at home, doing nothing, nothing seemed to be happening. This makes perfect sense. It wasn’t until I got out and took some actions that I discovered the bill.

My point is to sit home and wish for changes is hoping that somehow magically circumstances change and you are magically delivered the object of your desire. You can chant for gold or you can mine for gold. I think mining will get you there faster.

Make Your Own Magic

Mining and chanting together may get you there even quicker and easier because you have the appropriate mindset to discover it faster. It may be more inspiring and fun. You have a great attitude and the energy to do what it takes.

Manifesting is active creation. You and I, the creators are responsible for what we create. It means we have a dominant chief aim we focus on. We become passionate about it. Believe we deserve it and will have it. Then we do whatever positive actions are required to get it.

It doesn’t mean sitting there wishing and dreaming and hoping that it somehow shows up in our lap. Having said all this, I am still open to the possibility that things can and may work in ways none of us can understand, figure out or predict. There may be miracles and blessings and magic. Who knows? What do you believe?

I just don’t rely on those. I am open to them and embrace them. I do think if you want transformation you have to make it happen. You create it. You ask, you knock, you seek and you find. It is proactive! Even the word create implies you do something. So does the word attract.

Those Who Don’t Believe In Magic Will Never Find It

You attract or create what you focus on. THAT is the key.

You don’t actually get what you want. Nope, that is what we tell you do to; focus on what you want.  You actually GET what you focus on. So you’d better focus on what you want if that is what you want to get. Sadly, too many people are focused on what they don’t want and what they prefer to avoid so they keep getting more of the same.

What you hold in your mind you can hold in your hand. What you think about you bring about. Whether it is positive or negative, whether you want it or don’t want it; you get what you focus on.  You become what you think about. Remember? You should!

THAT is WHY it IS important to focus on WHAT YOU WANT. Focus on what is is positive and good. Otherwise, you will get anything else by default. Worse yet, you will get precisely what you want you don’t want. What you fear, worry about or want to avoid.

So make sure what you are focused on most of the time is what you want more of! Okay?

I think this next point is important too. It has to do with being grateful, finding blessings and feeling blessed. Anything can and is a blessing. A blessing is whatever you want to be a blessing. Remember, this too! We can find plenty to feel good about!

Until Further Notice Celebrate Everything

Even though I stayed at home working there was plenty to be grateful for or take as a signal. I had a great time at work.  Lot’s of productivity and flow. It was a delightful day. Twice during the day my daughter came in and we had lengthy, positive, connecting loving conversations, which surpass finding a 100 dollars any day. Any day!

Not only that but the 100 I found was money I had lost weeks before. It was weathered and In the same bank envelop with my receipt in it. I didn’t mention this yesterday but my loss turned out to be my gain in more ways than one. Surprise! What I thought lost was found!

The point is blessings are everywhere. Blessings can be anything we call blessings. Live expecting to be blessed and you will find them. Live expecting to be cursed and you will too. Your brain doesn’t care whether you think positive or negative it merely delivers whatever you focus on.

Wake Up With The Thought Something Wonderful Will Happen

Blessings abound but you have to seek and you have to find. You must do something to discover them. You must do something to create them. If nothing else, you at least have to look. I think it is wonderful to take inventory and count them daily!

Unexpected good is awesome. Life is abundant. Never say never, not even to magic. Be open and anything is possible. Believe and you will find. There is so much truth in this. Our expectations shape our perceptions. If we believe we will be blessed in unexpected ways IT IS FAR more likely than if we don’t believe it. Be open! Allow for it!

You will find it the more you let go of prior conditioning, blames, excuses, attributions of responsibility on others, events or circumstances. Let go and be open. There is so much more good going on than our little brains and minds can even begin to comprehend. To get even a taste, a glimpse, a sliver, is magnificent.

There Is Always Something To Celebrate And Be Thankful For

We have been discussing beliefs for a while in posts now so notice magic, coincidence, synchronicity, attraction, creation, we have beliefs around these. Is it possible or not? Easy or hard? It is up to you. Whatever you decide your brain will seek to prove.

Live with power. Find your power. Discover that which you are already. You are completely resourceful, optimistic, positive and powerful. Live fully, with passion and enthusiasm and fun. Delight and celebrate everything.

Whether or not there is magic, know this, you are magic. You are more magical and powerful than you have ever imagined. I hope you discover it soon. BUT, whenever you discover it that will be the right time for you!” Rex Sikes

What To Do When Life Is Tough And You Don’t Like It!

“Know this. Some days you are up and on top of the world. Some days you aren’t. Sometimes, things may come along and knock the wind out of your sails. Some days may just seem to drag. Some suck! All of it is what is. That is what is going on.

If you fight it, well you know the saying; what you resist persists, and it is true. If you push back you spend your energy in a fight. Then you get more of what you are focused on; push back. You get more resistance. If you don’t want more of the same yuckiness, what to do?

I say, throw your arms up and surrender. It is what it is! That is what the waitress brought you. Yuckiness on your dinner plate. You can get sad, you can get mad, you can fight her, it, and the establishment, you can threaten, you can blame, you can whine but that is what was served up. Do you really want to do all the rest of that to yourself?

What You Resist Persists

Hopefully not. So don’t! Understand that is what you got and let it go. Drop it, at least as best as you are able. Any time you are tempted to return to it think something else. FOR GOODNESS SAKE don’t talk about it to everyone all day long either. You only keep the bad news alive that much longer. Don’t perpetuate it!

It was what it was. Let it go. It is already in the past an instant later. You were served what you didn’t want. OKAY! Be bigger than it. Don’t reduce yourself to that person in public griping that no one likes. ORDER something else for yourself! You didn’t get what you want, you got slop instead of savory, ORDER something else!

Whenever you may realize you got caught up, got hooked and are fighting the flow, resisting what is, in that instance, drop it. Let it go and focus on what you would prefer instead of what is causing discomfort. To argue over what causes discomfort will only make you more uncomfortable.

You Go Where Your Thought Take You

If you feel you have to be right, put another person in their place, teach them a lesson, well, most likely you won’t and they will only resent you more afterwards. None of us like self-righteousness, even when it may be appropriate. SO give them and the world and you a break.

Cut everyone and yourself some slack. Ease off. Back up, stop, and move forward new and afresh. Going down the wrong road further won’t undo the mistake already made. Stop, turn around, change direction and head towards where you want to go. Heck, laugh it off.

Probably, the best response you can have when you catch yourself being an idiot is to laugh. Not at yourself or anyone else; you wouldn’t want to do that. Let it go and just laugh  at how ridiculous it is to fight what is. There is the saying, no use beating a dead horse. Sorry for that but it is illustrative.

It Is What It Is

Okay, better one, no use crying over spilt milk. OR it is water over the damn. What is IS! What is done is done! Move on from that moment cleanly. The only way to successfully do that is to drop it. Accept it and go on. My favorite analogy and teaching example of going with the flow in our modern age, is traffic.

The zen of not driving or not caring is learned in traffic. You can’t push it but you can try. When stuck and surrounded there is no where to go, so relax you can’t change it until it changes. LET IT GO. That person that cut you off they are already ahead of you leave them be. That person who gave you the finger, bless them; returning it my make you feel right but won’t make you feel much better.

Yes, traffic is the perfect place to let it all go and learn to surrender to what is. Use it to enjoy. Yes, you will be late, but that is what is. You may be reprimanded, docked or fired. Leave earlier next time. It is what it is. Use whatever happens to learn to not react out of anger, or fight or flight, but to let go, accept and respond more appropriately.

Realize You Always Have Choice Even When You Think You Don’t

Celebrate and be grateful you are able to. Celebrate and affirm how wonderful you are. You have all this extra time for yourself to chant your positive mantras in the car or listen to positive motivational audios. Use it wisely rather than loosing your cool. Steer back to positive thinking and feeling good and you will have learned something useful.

If you steer back each time, as best as possible, you are developing a positive habit. Whenever you encounter something less than glorious, something you don’t like and wouldn’t choose for yourself, you are returning to what is good, positive and enjoyable.

You seek a better alternative. Soon you will do it automatically, reliably and habitually. What a wonderful tradeoff. You learned to make your life more grand by default. SO use your not so good times to create better times ahead. Be grateful you can. Celebrate it all and you will live a life of true, absolute celebration!” Rex Sikes

Yes! Everything Can Be Different And Better In An Instant!

“We can change in seconds. Transformation is instantaneous! We can have miracles anytime! The problem is most of us don’t believe it. Do you? Does your being resound with YES!!! OR do you go, ‘yeah, I wish…’ We have been discussing beliefs lately and I’d like to continue. The reason we don’t change rapidly is we don’t believe we can.

According to ancient and modern texts change, enlightenment, transformation, miracles can and do all happen quickly. We do not have to struggle along or incrementally make changes day after day week after week. Change can be right now! Still, most of us don’t think so. That is precisely why it doesn’t happen that way.

If You Think You Can Or You Think You Can’t You Are Right

When we think about changing or our lives and what we want many of us think, ‘you have to work hard, climb the success ladder, be lucky, know someone, and even then nothing is for certain’. When it comes to change we think, ‘well, maybe for someone else, doesn’t work that way for me, it is too hard, too costly,’ or any number of reasons.

When we consider change and transformation our paradigms kick in; our collection of beliefs and attitudes, our unconscious, subconscious, habitual thinking we grew up with, and mostly adopted from others, kicks in. That is what it is supposed to do. Remember, the Reticular Activating System.

The RAS looks for proof in the world for whatever you believe or hold in your mind. If you think it is tough and not likely, well then your RAS will prove you right. Therein is the rub. Most of us don’t think fast, instant change or manifestation is possible, we believe a myriad of other things, so we don’t get to experience it.

Napoleon Hill said you could develop faith and come to believe anything if you repeated it to yourself enough times while feeling strong emotion. This is the process of autosuggestion and it is an ongoing process. One of the reasons we already get the results and circumstances we live with. It works for the negative or the positive.

If we were to imagine change as fast, see ourselves quickly transformed, repeat emotionally charged affirmations that change is quick, easy and fun, we could begin to discover a new world opening up.

If we have as mantras that we are open to instantaneous transformation and manifestation and that anything can happen, anytime, easily and without effort, perhaps, we would come to believe that.

It has been said, a lie repeated often enough gets substituted for the truth. So we need to change our beliefs. STOP! Right there. SOme of you readers, some people instantly think that will be difficult. AND so it is. For those who think it will be fun and easy SO IT IS.

‘For As He Thinketh In His Heart So Is He’ Proverbs 23:7

The key is to decide what you want for yourself and for your world and to assert and declare it. Deliberately create it. Deliberately create your life and experience don’t allow it to be haphazard.

Own it. Command it! Make it so! YES, your old conditioning might do anything and everything to prevent you from changing. The thought gurus will tell you that. They will say, ‘you need to work hard to get at that deep unconscious programming that holds you back.’ Thy’ll tell you they have the secret why The Secret doesn’t work.

Maybe yes, maybe no. Maybe, it is all up to you and what you THINK about it. What you believe will be the case is what you will get. Maybe, change is easy, fun, effortless and quick. I suggest you decide. CHOOSE! Then maintain it. Yes, you might encounter opposition but don’t let that derail or deter you. You determine how you want it to be.

You Are Where Your Thoughts Brought You

BE a deliberate creator and determine what the circumstances will be instead of being a victim of circumstances and whining and making excuses.  You don’t have to live from old conditioning. You can completely transform. BUT maybe only if you believe it is possible. Maybe, even if you don’t believe it is. Hmmmmm?

You have to open the window of possibility even just a bit. A crack. Consider this, water run through a small opening, as in a small tube, increases the pressure and what can be accomplished. Water run through a small opening can cut steel. You might be amazed at how life transforms when you open up to the tiny possibility that it can.

We’ll discuss this some more in upcoming posts. For now, see if you can’t find ways, inside you, to delight in how marvelously easy it is to entertain positive thoughts of gratitude. Celebrate and delight in everything. Take it all lightly, have fun and enjoy! Live and love and laugh!” Rex Sikes

Here’s How You Can Feel Good More Often!

“Would you like to feel better more often? Would you like to enjoy life more? It is far simpler and easier than most people think it is. Of course, that is because most people think from tired, old, worn out, habitual, pre-conditioned programming we got from others.

Wouldn’t you prefer to think for yourself? Wouldn’t you prefer your thoughts and feelings to serve you as they are supposed to instead of you serving them. Too many people fall victim to what is between their ears and they do not have to. Would you like it to be different?

The key to making your life work and getting what you want is your feelings. The better you feel the better everything works. Is feeling good important? Yes it is! Is feeling good all the time important? Yes, but we are human and all emotions are part of being human.

Feel The Best You Can

Still, the goal is to feel the best you can as much as you can each day. This means that when you don’t you make some effort to change it. What does this mean? It means, notice it. When you feel less than glorious notice it. First, become aware.

Usually we do this without too much difficulty because it is less than glorious. The feelings get our attention. Still, to notice it and become aware of it means to acknowledge it. That is what is going on so accept it. It is what it is. That is how you feel.

These less than glorious feelings are a signal that something is off kilter. Something needs your attention and adjustment. The feelings are a signal alerting you so you can change whatever is the cause of them. You can adjust whatever is going on.

As Often As You Can 

Typically, it is your thoughts have dipped. You are thinking less than gloriously. Your attention and energy is on what is wrong, what you don’t like, what you want to avoid or something in your world that is less than glorious. The feelings are alerting you to this.

If your thoughts are on what is negative your feelings will follow. As your feelings follow you create and attract more of the same thoughts and feelings. As a result your actions follow. Less than glorious results follow. You spiral down. Circumstances suck too!

Your thinking you can change. While it may not be that easy for you if you never tried to change it, you can control your thinking. You are going to want to learn to do it anyway so that instead of crappy life circumstances you begin creating and attracting positive ones.

For As Long As You Can

When you learn how to change your thinking your entire world changes. No longer are you a victim of your thoughts but master of your thoughts. They work for you! They serve you. You determine how things will be instead of living at the mercy of things!

As you steer your thoughts back to positive and productive your feelings will shift. You can also do things to shift them. Do something positive for yourself. Take a bath, go for a walk. Exercise, meditate. Enjoy nature, play with a child or a pet, relax, get active. Do anything that works to shift your feelings for the better.

We tend to do is think, if I don’t feel like it then I can’t. I don’t feel like cleaning my room so I can’t or won’t. We don’t have to feel like cleaning in order to clean but that is something we learned. It is incorrect. That is not acknowledging and validating our feelings well.

Our Thoughts Determine How We Feel

On the other hand. If we suffer loss. We should grieve. We want to acknowledge the contribution and the loss of a loved one. We miss the person. Acknowledge what is going on. Allow and accept that you will feel down and sad. It is totally fine.

That is completely normal. This is different from not feeling like working. Don’t fall for your feelings. Utilize them as a signal and learn to adjust your thinking. It may take a little time because we live from habits we acquired long ago. We need to change our habits.

Consider this. You are an incredible being. You have an awesome brain and heart and are alive in inexplicable ways. You are a bio-chemical, electrical phenomena; a life form and a life force. We are amazing! Yet, we take so much for granted and abuse ourselves so often.

Appreciate How Incredibly Amazing You Are

We should live like emperors, at least in our own skins, if not everywhere else. Instead, we live like beggars. We can be happier, healthier, have more enjoyment and delight in all life offers. Sadly, most people don’t feel like it and think crappy thoughts.

Take control and live as fully as possible for as long as possible. Claim your inner and outer riches. Don’t settle for less but enjoy all the positive good there is to enjoy.  Why not? Whether we go around once or multiple times now is NOW!

Decide to live fully. You deserve it. Once you make a real decision everything will start changing! You have planted a seed. It will grow. Encourage it. Change your thinking habits and your entire life will transform. Live to the utmost. You were meant to!

Live victoriously! Learn to be the master of your thoughts and feelings. You don’t force or deny anything. You learn to understand and accept and work with your bio-systems as all of us are meant to. Live gloriously! Help others to do the same!” Rex Sikes

What To Do When Unexpected Challenges Arise And You Feel Fear

“My blog today is in response to comment left yesterday. It is a piece of a puzzle. It is a first step in a journey. It is a morsel of food in the meal you eat. Without knowing specifics (this is not a request to know) the suggestions I have are general. Absolutely valuable and applicable anytime, but still general.

It may not be what the individual needs to read or hear at this time, and the person may be better served seeking answers elsewhere from someone in person.

Still, the principles are applicable to all of us in our quest for a more wonderful life so I wrote in reply, actually to all of us. Each of us face challenges, hopefully, this will encourage.

The reader commented, and I am always happy when readers comment. When someone reaches out, or shares insight, loves or hates something it is good to know. That is WHY there IS a comment section so you can LEAVE comments!

Here is the comment:

‘I’m facing an unexpected and very challenging situation. And I do feel fear. I agree with what you have written, but my path seems unclear to me. I want peace and a stable situation. (And I have re-written this 9 different ways)……Changing my thoughts will change my actions and change the situation.’

First,  I wish you the best. I am glad you commented. You are doing for yourself and working to make it work for you. That is excellent.

It is not uncommon to feel fear from an unexpected and challenging situation. That is quite normal. It is what we do as humans.

Getting clear about your path is what you do want to do.  When confronted with obstacles we may not know what to do or where to go. Still, in order to journey onward we first need to clarify where we want to end up. Otherwise, we may or may not make any progress.

How would we know if we were progressing if we don’t know where our destination is? Plus, it is important that we make certain we are focused on where we want to go to or end up.

Circumstances can be challenging and difficult, for certain. The learning we all need to acquire is to notice the circumstances but not focus on them. Stop giving the circumstances your attention and energy. Decide what you want instead, not what you do not want.

When you repeat,  ‘Changing my thoughts will change my actions and change the situation.’ while accurate notice what your attention is on. Change the situation. You want to change your thoughts and actions in order to change the situation.

How might you phrase your affirmation to put the emphasis on what you want instead of focusing on the situation? That is where you need to put you emphasis or focus. Think about what you want. Also affirm what you want to feel.

For example, ‘I am calm’; ‘I am confident’; ‘I am able to learn to do anything I put my mind to’; ‘I have peace of mind’; ‘I feel joy’. Whatever you want to think, feel and be. Simply put whatever you want to be after ‘I am’ or ‘I have’ or ‘I feel’. Present tense.

You might also ask Directed Questions™: ‘I wonder how soon I can discover myself easily find more peace and joy throughout today?’ In how many ways will I be delighted and amazed to feel my confidence growing in leaps and bounds?”

You can use what it is you don’t want to help you clarify what it is you do want. Make sure you know what you want and then imagine what you want fully. Whatever it is use your imagination and imagine all the positive good you want to have. Imagine it as though you already have it. It has happened. It is yours.

You want your energy to go where you want. That is why you place you attention on what you want. The work is to keep the attention on the good you want to create and positively have. It takes practice. It does take discipline but anyone can learn to do it in time.

The secret is keeping it there. Going back and forth from feeling positive and confident to doubtful and fearful is what keeps us stuck. We need to overwhelmingly feel positive and confident. We need our focus to be on the good most of the time. Of course, everyone has a negative thought.

As soon as you notice the negative thought or feeling steer it back to positive. Two things happen. One is this is the training we all need. The ability to control and steer our mind and get it to serve us instead of being out master is the skill we need to develop. Two it will make the difference. You will be more positive more of the time!

Make sure what you want is a win/win for you and everyone; wonderful and positive! Place your focus on this. You may not know how to bring it about yet but stay focused on what you want to create. The good you want to create is the good you focus on and imagine throughout the day. This is what you can create!

Feel the good feelings that come with the good you desire. If the world were perfect and your situation resolved and you were your ideal self, being, doing and having what you want how would you feel?

Those are the feelings you want to have more of. Those are the feeling you want to savor and bask in when you think about your destination.

Those are the feelings you want to spend time with. Day and night, and as often as you can, think of the good, see it in your mind’s eye and feel the marvelous feelings. As long as you win and others with there is no disharmony.

What we think about we bring about! If we concentrate on avoiding what we don’t want we just get more of the same. If we focus on what we DO want to create for ourselves we get more of that.

Even though you may not know how it will come about this is what you concentrate on. You think, have faith and affirm that everything will work out for good even though you don’t have any idea how. It is okay not to know how. It really is.

We all need to learn to do this. It is similar to planting a seed. It grows where we can’t see it grow at first, underground. The results of our decision, to focus on the good we want to create, is at first invisible.

We must keep the faith that ultimately everything will work out and that we will be able to behave resourcefully. It isn’t magic or wishing. It is the application of principles that changes the course of our future.

If you decide you want to take boat across the sea to a distant land you have to know where you are going. You determine where you want to end up and you go there. If storms come up along the way you have to navigate through, or around them and get back on course, to get to your destination.

When you focus and believe in yourself you marshall your inner resources. When challenged it is the opportunity to learn lessons and discover the very best within you. The key is to not give up or lose faith. Believe in yourself. Affirm you can do this!

In your present circumstances you may need to find someone who has already navigated the troubled waters, someone who can positively mentor you because they have been there and gone through that and come out the other side successfully. Someone in your area whom you can rely on, confide in and trust. If you need help or assistance reach out.

Inside you is an internal GPS. It knows all the routes and has all the answers you need to get where you want to go. You have the resources to make positive changes, even though you may not be aware that you do, and yet, that can being to easily clear up.

As you keep positive and keep faith in your own inner abilities you may find yourself discovering more of what you need to know in order to move ahead confidently and safely. Trust in yourself to make the wisest choices even though you don’t know what these are yet. Believe in you!

Attitude makes a big difference. This may be just what you look back on some day and are thankful for. If you can cultivate that attitude while going through it you are ahead of the game.

The opportunity to grow and develop comes from adversity. The statement, ‘the kite rises against the wind’ is applicable. Challenge will help you grow in the long run and you will learn a lot from the situation about yourself and your resourcefulness.

I hope, my words help. Understand I have little to go on and I can’t, no one can, solve anything for you. That is up to each individual to do for oneself. I hope, though, in some small way, I can encourage you to stay strong and take everything lightly.

Put into practice the principles you have been learning. Fill your mind each day with positive, inspirational material. Read and listen to positive books and audios. Fill your mind with ‘can do’ messages. Find positive people to encourage and support you.

Manage your self talk and speak only to bless, heal and prosper. Visualize what you want, as already discussed, and grow your faith in your ability to have a positive present and future. Find things to celebrate and appreciate in areas of life, even in the challenges.

Be the victor of the circumstances. Decide to prevail against troubles and to create more love, joy and happiness for all. Determine to live as a champion and stay positive and confident. You will as you keep your focus on what you want to create! It works. It does work. It is YOU who makes it work!” Rex Sikes

PS I wrote this response, then just as I went to publish, it occurs to me that, perhaps, you weren’t looking for a reply. If I made an incorrect assumption I apologize. Want To Have An Incredible Life? Then Learn What These People Already Know!

“Some people just live differently than others! They let nothing deter them from enjoying life. It is amazing and inspiring! It has to do with their beliefs and attitude. How would you respond to the following? What do you think about this and how it may apply to your life?

To lose a limb or the ability to walk or move would be devastating. Life crushing. I do not wish it on anyone. Yet, there have been people throughout time who have suffered tremendous accidents, lost body parts or were paralyzed, BUT continue to live as blessed. They live differently from the rest.

Recently, they made a movie of the surfer girl who lost her arm in a shark attack. She continues to surf. Others, with similar circumstances have been in the news. Sometimes, we see people who suffer greatly continue to suffer greatly.

Other times, we see people who express gratitude at being alive. For these, they seem to say, ‘life is an adventure. I did it with two arms now I do it with one. It doesn’t matter, great to be alive!’

They don’t let a challenge stop them.  It must be a major adjustment, still, some seem to never miss a beat. They go right on living cheerfully. Young, old, rich or poor, that doesn’t seem to matter.

I have used an example to explain some of this. This example, pales by comparison but I present it, and then another one, as food for thought. Although, I think these considerations are already enough of a meal.

How people maintain an incredible positive attitude in the face of life changing experiences is definitely worth learning and applying. Ok, my example, two people go to a movie and sit side by side. The movie ends, one loved it the other hated it.

Both express opinions. It seems as if these have something to do with the movie when actually their opinions reveal much about them; who they are and what they pay attention to.

After all, it is the same movie. Both individuals sat through it but had a different experience of it. It can’t be the movie. It must be about them!

Two people are in a terrible car crash but survive and are not badly injured. One is filled with fear and speaks repeatedly about how the accident was terrible and how close to being killed he was.

The other is thankful to have lived through a huge ordeal and speaks of being lucky or blessed or protected he feels. Same experience two different reactions. Two separate, independent outlooks. Do you think their outlook has anything to do with how they live their lives?

Some people blame the economy for their problems saying they just can’t get ahead. Others during that very same economy make a ton of money and state if it hadn’t been for the economy they’d have never discovered how to make so much money.

Pretty much we are all the same. We have different experiences and programming as we grow. We still live in the same world. It appears how we respond to the world and circumstances has everything to do with what we believe.

Our thoughts, our attitude determine how we live our lives. What we think determines our world and our opportunity or our disadvantage. It is mindset more than anything else!

Some people face tremendous odds and let nothing stop them or ruin their day. Some people are born with, what we call, challenges but excel more than others born without challenges. Some seem to buckle at the smallest provocation.

I prefer to think of living life without seeing walls that stop me. I prefer thinking of what I can do instead of what I can’t. I’d much rather be optimistic and positive and live happily and fully than anything else. I’d like to think most other people do too.

I am not certain any one knows how they will respond until faced with an obstacle. I think what they think and believe, makes a difference. If a big challenge comes there way are they prepared to handle it?

Some believe in an outer god; some a personal god; some believe in an inner god or divinity; some believe in no god; that doesn’t seem to make any difference.

Whatever else they believe in sure seems to make an incredible difference. What they think about themselves, their ability to live happily, handle difficulty, enjoy life, and the nature of the universe seems to make an incredible difference.

What would you do? How would you move forward? Is the glass half empty or half full? I think these examples, of what some might call courage, are a testimony to the awesome power of the human mind and spirit.

Their attitude certainly seems to determine their altitude. What do you think? What if you could learn, what these few people know, that makes them live their lives incredibly different from the rest of the people? Would you like to learn to live like this? If you could learn it would you?

There are people who choose to not let anything prevent them from enjoying this life to the fullest. They live as they wish no matter what happens to them or around them. They live as champions and victors over circumstances.

They continue to live joyfully. They consider the journey a marvelous adventure. This is wonderful and inspiring. It is absolutely possible that any one of us, all of us, can find the power within to be able to celebrate no matter what! When we are truly able to feel blessed regardless of circumstances then  life is transformation and we are incredibly rich in all ways.” Rex Sikes

The Difference Between Success And Failure Is You!

“I’m just saying…

that some people claim…

we have beliefs that keep us stuck and these are hard to change.

You do know this

do you not?

People claim that our paradigms and our beliefs

conscious or unconscious beliefs

limit us and keep us stuck

or prevent us from being who we truly are.

Do you believe this?

Because

That…

is another belief.

Do you realize this?

Keep in mind

WHATEVER you think

you make it so!

If you can or can’t

If it is easy or not

If there is abundance or lack

is all up to what you think.

You

ONLY you

create your reality.

The world is cruel or friendly

that is up to you.

Whatever excuse you have

whomever or whatever you blame

whether you find pleasure of pain

ease or difficulty

think it is possible or impossible

limited by your paradigms or free

all are just more thoughts or beliefs.

Your beliefs

either allow or prevent you.

Bad habits are difficult to break

it is too tough to change

it takes lots of work to transform

others can succeed but I can’t

are all just beliefs.

You do realize this, don’t you?

Do they have power?

Perhaps.

Perhaps the only power they have

is the power you give them.

If they remain in the dark

from there yes perhaps they control you.

But can you change them?

Is it difficult to change them or easy?

Will it take a long time or a short time?

The answers to these questions are found

in your beliefs.

Do you realize this?

Whatever your answer

you answer

from your belief set.

It will be as easy and quick and pleasant

as you decide it will be.

Whatever it will be – you create it.

So create it to be how you want it

and allow yourself to be pleasantly surprised.

Become the master of your beliefs

do not let them be your master.

You decide how you will be

decide what you will do

you decide what you will have.

Determine what your life will be

and live it!

Make

believe

it is simple

easy fun delightful enjoyable.

Believe what you want

and what serves you to

live how you want.

Is it easy to do?

You decide that.

You do realize this – do you not?

You might be surprised at how

simple and quick transformation can be.

The Easiest And Quickest Way To Make Your Life Wonderful!

“If you could find a way to easily make all of your life wonderful you would do it, wouldn’t you? If there was one simple thing to remember to do each day you’d do it, right?

If it meant making a huge difference for how much you enjoyed your experience would you put it into practice and apply it? You may have heard it before but unless you are actively applying it, you are missing out.

What is it you can do that will have such a great effect? It is the practice of gratitude for every thing. It is actively appreciating all aspects of your life and continuing to do it. Here is what to do:

You Got To Accentuate The Positive

Find, validate and repeat the validation for things, people, circumstances, events, and belongings, you are grateful for because this practice reinforces it. Repeat, repeat, repeat.

Celebrate everything you can find to be grateful about over and over again. It builds the habit of finding good things, and feeling good about them. You get back more of what you put out!

As you do this you spend more time feeling good and grateful. What you focus on expands so your own brain will help you find and make connections to other things you can appreciate too.

Remember, the Reticular Activating System (RAS), looks to match the outer with what you have going on inside. It’s job is to provide you evidence for what you already believe on the inside.

Good taste dictates that you believe and think wonderful thoughts on the inside. You find more and more. Like attracts like. Birds of a feather flock together. In finding more your feel better and better.

The More We Do The Easier It Becomes And The More We Can Do

Pretty good deal, if you ask me. You begin to find areas to be grateful about things you perviously might never have considered. Your ability to look, find, consider, validate and celebrate expands even more. You get better at it and build a reliable skill.

The more you find to appreciate the more you transform every aspect of your life, past and present. By living in gratitude and celebration you open the doorway and floodgates of the future.

Life, for you, becomes a celebration. When you live thinking and feeling this way you get back more of what you have. Remember, like attracts like and birds of a feather… You live in increase!

You create and attract a most marvelous life. When outer events throw you curve balls, at any time, you are more prepared and resourceful to respond in positive and powerful ways.

Perfect Practice Repeated Again And Again Makes Perfect

Because you have emphasized and practiced feeling grateful, because you have made it a habit, it automatically works for you. You really do become what you think about.

Remember, what they recommend on shampoo bottles. ‘Wash, rinse and repeat’. The practice for your good mental health and well being is the same in essence. Cleanse your mind with appreciation and repeat then do it again.

Then repeat and repeat and repeat. Rehearse the skill you want to develop as an actor does. Practice the skill again and again, drill it, as an athlete does.

Act as if you are already living the life you want, in your mind, and that life can become yours. What you think about you bring about. Fill your mind with all the positive good you can find and focus on it.

If most of your thoughts, most of your time are celebrations if most of your time is spent thinking and feeling grateful you transform your life into a life most grand. Use the 80/20 rule. Think 80% positive!

Luck Is The Crossroad Where Preparation And Opportunity Meet

You continue to find blessings because that is how your mind and being now operates. When you are optimistic and happy your mind works clearer and better. You’ll only discover this through application.

You will find more opportunity and advantages than you can ever imagine. Your brain will look to match the good things on the outside with those you imagine on the inside. That is its job!

What have you done and learned in doing this? That you can and that you did take charge of your mind and control of your thoughts. Your entire life improves because you made and effort and followed through.

What was your effort? Count your blessings and repeat. Celebrate and delight in things that bring you joy. Keep looking and finding things to appreciate. A pretty good trade off, don’t you think?” Rex Sikes

It Is Easier To Change Things Than You Think

“We have been discussing beliefs. In my last post I mentioned that we would discuss changing beliefs. We can actually trade in our old limited ones for updates. It is easier than you may think. Instead of living from and getting poor results, we live from positive, powerful, tailor made beliefs and begin getting good results.

How do you change it? You tell yourself what you want to believe over and over and over again until you believe it! Repetition will make a habit. Our beliefs are only beliefs we have told ourselves again and again. Fortunately, though it seems difficult, beliefs can be easily changed.

Use the same method you did in the first place. Only this time chose a new, useful, positive belief that serves to get you what you want. Then repeat it again and again enthusiastically over time and you will come to believe it. THIS is how the military conditions minds.

Ask yourself, Directed Questions™ (see other posts on their use) and direct your mind to what you want. Ask again and again over time. Visualize yourself repeatedly already being, doing and having whatever it is you want. It is already yours. Act as if!

What you see you get! What you say you get! What you feel you get! Manage your imagination and see it fully! Manage your self talk and keep it nice. Speak only to bless, heal and prosper. Speak only to affirm what you want. Repeat your positive mantras over and over.

Feel it. Feel what it would feel like to have the perfect life. To already have the change you desire. Enjoy these feelings. Feel these feelings through out your day. Feel the best you can as much as you can. Think 80/20.

If you are feeling good and thinking good and speaking good 80% of your time I’d bet you are kicking serious butt. You are making your dreams come true. You are living an incredible life. AIM for it. You can make it happen. It is easy. DO IT. It is easier than you think.” Rex Sikes
