You Deserve Better: Don’t Let Tough Times Get The Best Of You.

“When it comes to troubles, and less than glorious thinking you can make it through if you believe you will. If the odds seemed stacked against you do not lose hope. Think ‘this too will pass’. Keep in your mind that you will see it through. Don’t complain or speak ill.

You never get rich focused on poverty. If you always say what you have you will always have what you say. Keep the faith and make it a point to learn from the challenges. There will be something to learn that is most certain. You will make it! You can see it through!

Attempt to drop the head work and work from the heart instead. Find ways at difficult times to love more, to give more, to comfort more and to complain less. Laugh more, celebrate and be grateful for what you have. We become what we think about all day long.

Find the way to take your mind off the troubles. Put your attention on how you can better serve others and who you love. Remember, you won’t get rich thinking about poverty. The way out of your troubles is a different path. The old way IS not the way.

As long as you are focused on what hurts, what sucks, what is not right and feeling bad you will remain stuck. In order to leave these behind you have to do something other than what you have been or are doing. You must place your attention on what you want instead.

Concentrate on what is wonderful and meaningful. You won’t get somewhere new taking the same old worn out path. To be different you must do things differently. If you want what is going on to change you must make some changes. Remember, ‘can-do’ not can’t.

Many people support keeping their troubles albeit unintentionally. They focus on them, talk to everyone about them and they let it consume their minds day and night. They worry, which is truly negative goal setting because it is keeping one’s mind occupied with the worst. It is planning to get what you don’t want. Stop it!

They imagine things going wrong. It isn’t difficult to believe that they probably don’t feel their best, or are the healthiest. They are stressed and feeling down. Everything they do on the inside supports and maintains keeping the outside problems the same. As above so below. Our thoughts determine our actions and these determine our reality. Want reality to change change your thinking.

They never seem to create an opening for themselves to feel better and enjoy life more but YOU can! All it takes is an small opening to let a lot of light in. A small flame is still a flame. Find it and fan it. Do what you can do to help the flames grow. Create more light for yourself. Thought always precedes action. Take control of your thoughts. The more you do this the more you will be able to do.

Believe in yourself and your resourcefulness to find solutions even if you don’t, yet, know how. What you expect makes a big difference. Expect a better day to come along. Expect the best of yourself. Know you will make it and that better times are yours. You will see it through your troubles when you believe you can. The difference between thinking negatively and positively is what you plan for.

What people do to keep their problems alive is similar to what one does to create a more positive life. The actions are the same but the content is different. You focus the positive. You focus on what you can be, feel and do that makes you awesome instead of downtrodden.  You celebrate, love, laugh, smile, be grateful and enjoy!

Most people have it backwards. They have the positive tap shut and allow the negative to run on and on. They get what they don’t want and feel bad. They think about this more and complain and get further stuck and complain more. It spirals down. If want it to be different you stop this!

Hot and cold water can come out of the same tap. If you don’t want one you shut it off and allow the other to run. It is the same with our thoughts and feelings. Learning to get free from your troubles and create your life the way you want is a knack. It is simply changing what you are doing. It is shutting one off and letting the other run.

Adjust what you have been doing to favor what you want instead of what you don’t want. You turn off the power to the less than glorious when you shift your attention to what is glorious about you and your world. Drop the familiar, the old ways that got you into the mess and venture into newness. Move forward in new ways.

We get what we think about most during the day. Imagine what you DO want NOT what you don’t. Affirm what you want not what the problems are. Aim your thoughts, feelings, words and actions at your dreams and you can make them a reality. Don’t let tough times bring you down. Move through them no matter how tough they may be. Get Extraordinary Results When You Have No Limitations!!

“You may not know the name but this gentleman did something incredible. What makes it more astounding is that he didn’t know what he was doing was incredible while he was doing it. He was completely clueless. He was just carrying out a typical everyday assignment but he stunned the world. His name is George Dantzig.

You might not recognize the name but it is likely you know about his accomplishment. Arriving late to class one day he jotted down a couple problems from the blackboard. At home he worked on that ‘homework’ which seemed ‘a little harder than usual’ and then turned it in. Later, he received a visit from his excited professor.

It turned out  that Dantzig had solved two of the most famous unsolved problems in statistics. He did what no one else had been able to do! Pretty cool, right! He went on to become a mathematical scientist publishing more than a dozen books.

What is important to note about Mr Dantzig is that he was not limited by his beliefs when it came to solving the unsolvable problems.  Since Dantzig arrived late to class he hadn’t heard his professor’s remarks when he put the problems on the blackboard.

Since he wasn’t limited by those remarks, and since he assumed the two problems were homework, he went ahead and worked on them as homework. There was nothing very unusual about them so his mind was free to solve them. His thoughts did not stand in his way.

How many others, before him, had tried to solve them is not known. These were famous unsolved problems. Perhaps, many others, tried and failed assuming they could not be solved. Not Dantzig. He assumed he would find the solutions.

Because he was clueless he just went right ahead and succeeded where others could not. He wasn’t stopped or prevented by ‘I can’t’ thinking. He just did what he always did. Because he believed it to be homework he believed it to be solvable.

After all, that is what we come to expect about homework that there is an answer we can find and deliver. It never occurred to him that he couldn’t solve the problems. Our beliefs and expectations set the framework for what we believe is possible or not. These determine our attitude, This is important to note.

Our brains have evolved to solve problems and hit targets. Our brains work to achieve goals. What we think about and speak of matters a great deal. If we THINK something is not possible then it most likely isn’t. Our beliefs and expectations matter! If we think something is impossible we may not even try.

the mind that perceives the limitation is the limitation

Limitations are set by our thinking. If we think something isn’t possible and if we don’t try then WE will have really made it impossible. If we think something is possible WE open a door for opportunity.Our expectations determine our accomplishments.

We determine how hard something is to accomplish by whether we  think something IS possible but difficult or possible and easy. Our expectations determines our success. We are far more likely to reach our goals and dreams when we think the best and have the most powerful positive attitude possible.

Stop thinking you can’t do the things you want to do. You CAN be, do and have anything you desire when you believe you can. You can make anything happen. How you use your thoughts will determine whether you rise or fall. There is a purpose to thinking positive.

When you think positive you think powerfully. Your brain helps you get what you go after more easily. Think ‘I can’, “I am able’, ‘this will be easy’. See, visualize yourself as one who is able to make things happen and you will more readily make things happen.

Pursue your dreams without limiting beliefs and you can accomplish anything. Surprise yourself with amazing results because you don’t limit yourself!

When you are free from limitations, as Dantzig was, you make great things happen. Henry Ford stated, ‘Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you are right!’ Become a can-do person and make your dreams come true!” Rex Sikes

How To Stop Creating What You Don’t Want And Start Getting What You’ve Always Desired!

“In my workshops, beginning in the 90’s to this present day, we put up signs that display ‘No Whining’ symbol. I do this to remind people how to best use their minds. Many people waste time whining and complaining instead of spending their time targeting and going after their goals and dreams.

It isn’t just a major waste of time. It is a powerful way to attract exactly what one doesn’t want. We get more back of whatever it is we put out there. Positive or Negative it doesn’t matter. Whatever we focus on we will get back. Whatever we focus on the most we get back the most!

Like attracts like. If you send out negative thoughts, vibes and actions that is what you get in return. If you want a positive abundant life then you need to put that out there FIRST. The you will get back the positivity and the abundance you put out. You reap what you sowed!

It is time people stop being a victim. People need to end their helplessness. They need to stop thinking that they aren’t responsible for their good or bad times. Many act as if they can’t do anything or make anything happen. They are absolutely wrong!

The truth is people are ALREADY making things happen. Sadly, many are making crumby things. It is time to stop that. Can-Do people focus on what they do want, what they can do, how they want to feel and on solutions. Can-do people make the things they want to happen, happen. It is their intention to create great things.

They focus on gratitude and celebration. They focus on making life as wonderful as it can be. Whenever they discover themselves thinking less than glorious thoughts or having less than glorious feelings they make the change. They know it is up to them to do it!

They don’t blame others nor do they expect others to do the work for them. They take 100% responsibility for whatever they create in life. Because they take responsibility they create and attract what they intend to! They get back good things because they first put good things out there for themselves and others.

They know there will be obstacles but they do not let that stop them. They search for creative means to overcome difficulty and to continue to move forward. They are consistent in their practice and persistent in their pursuit, They follow through. They do not quit!

They decide and they act. They don’t wallow of waffle. They make a decision and move forward. If they make a wrong decision they correct it. They take the bull by the horns and move ahead without fear. They understand flexibility and creativity is desirable.

They are proactive and work to make things better. They realize that it begins and ends with THEIR mindset, how THEY feel and THEIR actions. They resolve to do the best. If you aren’t already, become a can-do person. Make your life work in wonderful ways. You can, you know!

Realize you are always creating. Everything you have or don’t have you have created. Take 100% responsibility for everything because when you do change can begin to happen. As long as you blame the outer world, luck, circumstances or others you WILL remain the same.

Change your mindset!  Recognize your power as a creator!  Stop putting energy into what you don’t want and put it into making what you do want. YOU can make the life you have always desired. You can Be, Do and Have anything! It’s up to you.

Guard your thoughts, your feelings, your speech and your actions. Strive to always do that which is positive and that which heals. Do that which blesses others and helps all prosper. Create good things!

When you do this you are well on your way to having an incredible life. In an instant everything can begin to transform. It will begin the second you take 100% responsibility for everything! Claim your power! Live the life you’ve intend to live! It is up to you. DO IT!” Rex Sikes

How To Easily Stop Your Life From Sucking!

“If the outside world sucks the inside one does as well AND vice versa. What most people miss completely is they are already living the thoughts they are thinking about. It need not be this way! Would you like to learn how to change it? You can.  Life doesn’t have to suck.

They simply don’t realize that their lives are a reflection of what’s going on in their head. Our present reality is always preceded by the thoughts we think. Thought precedes action. As above so below!

If they have bills and debts and are worried about making payments they ARE living their dreams. Except, these may just be nightmares. It is not the dream they want to be living. It doesn’t have to be this way, it just is, at least temporarily.

It could be any issue. It may be problems with family, health, wealth, well-being. It could be job or career related disappointments. In fact, it could be anything at all that is less than fulfilling. People live sad, lonely, fearful lives instead of living joyfully and victoriously.

These people, it could be you, it certainly was me, think it is hard to make changes.  They believe that they will have to do something new and different. They think they will have to overhaul their life in order to change. They believe it may not be worth the effort.

They are wrong! They have been deceived. They have been mislead and have gone astray. Since they are ALREADY creating their present world by their thoughts they don’t have to do anything extra special at all. BUT what they believe will determine what they do. It already does! They think it is too hard to change.

This is where they are completely off base. They have already been using their minds powerfully. They just use them in the wrong direction while not realizing it. They imagine difficulties, they talk about problems and they fear the worst. They don’t expect it to get better but they wish it would. They reinforce their problems.

Worry is negative goal setting. Thinking about what you don’t want, fearing the worst, brings you more of the same. Like attracts like whether it is positive or negative. It doesn’t matter whether it is good or bad birds of a feather still flock together.

there is nothing impossible

We are where our thoughts have brought us. We will be where our thoughts take us. We can not escape the power of our thoughts! These people have ALREADY been affirming EVERYTHING they do not want. These people have been using positive affirmations in reverse. They have been getting what they do not want!

They have used ‘negative suggestions’ against themselves to affirm and create and support the issues they prefer to get rid of. Their present IS precisely due to how they have used their minds! Our present will always be a reflection of what we are thinking inside!

They don’t have to START positive thinking or start using affirmations. Nope, not at all. They just have to CHANGE the DIRECTION of their thinking. They will use the same creative energy aimed it in a different way. They’ll aim it in a powerful, positive productive way.

The ‘Placebo effect’ states that if you believe something is helpful, even if there is nothing about it that works, it IS still helpful much of the time. Our minds are creative. Our beliefs determine what we experience. It is because we believe we help ourselves not because the pill or amulet has any special property.

The ‘Nocebo effect’ states that if you believe nothing will help you, even if it IS beneficial, then much of the time it won’t work. These powerful effects work or don’t depending on what we believe. Our minds are powerful. We are creators. We have already created.

If life isn’t working out then all they really have to do is switch what they are doing. They switch from the negative, the less than glorious, or destructive, unhealthy thoughts to positive healthy ones.

Instead of spending their time in worry fear, anger and sadness they spend their time in positivity, hope, joy and determination. These people think affirmations don’t work and fail to realize that they are already affirming their failing lives.

They are upset, poor, unhealthy, and disenchanted.  When they speak they talk about their worry, fears, problems. They blame the universe, the economy, others and even themselves. They focus on what is wrong more of the time than on what is right.

you will see it when you believe it

Yes, they are already affirming. They have got what they don’t want. The are good at getting what they do not want. I certainly, was. AND they keep promoting what they don’t want. They reinforce it by their words, and actions each day.

Once they realize and take 100% responsibility for creating and attracting and maintaining what they don’t want they can begin to turn it around and get what they do want. Shut the door on the old ways, turn away from them, let them go, and open the new door to adventure and a wonderful new life.

Let go of the problems and focus on solutions. Stop thinking and talking about and reinforcing what they don’t want. Start thinking about and talking about what they do want. What we think about most of the time is what we become. What we focus on we get.

If you don’t like where you are at you can change it! What are you waiting for? Are you waiting for it to magically get better? Are you hoping you won’t have to do anything at all and that somehow you will be saved? OR re you waiting for it to get so bad you must do something.

If you wait ALL you will have done is spent more time waiting. Instead, begin today and start living the dreams you want. If you want your life to change you must change things in your life. Change the direction of your thoughts and feelings. Reinforce the positive!

Stop Doing This And Become Happier!

“If you are facing difficulty or just not feeling as happy as you’d like there is something you can do to change that. If you aren’t as successful in your career or relationships as you want to be you can turn that around. What you allow will continue. Isn’t it  time to  get more of what you want; become happier, healthier, and more successful?

No matter what is happening in your life thinking the right thoughts can make a powerful positive difference. The effectiveness of positive thinking has been declared for ages. Research demonstrates it is one of the best things we can do  for our mental, physical and emotional health.

Regardless of your any situation you find yourself in positive thinking can help you think clearer and more efficiently. It can help you feel better and more easily navigate the troubles. It is a great choice if you want to experience overall well-being.

We already use affirmations and make statements to ourselves all the time. Whatever we assert or declare about what was, is or will be going on is an affirmation. It is our self talk. It is what we picture in our minds. These statements and images, these preoccupations, affect our health in mind and body.

Most people may not realize they are negatively programming themselves. Their self talk is less than glorious.  Negative self talk is simply affirming what you do not want. Worry is actually just ‘negative planning’.

When you make less than glorious statements about yourself, others, or your situation you are affirming the negative. You are paying attention to and bringing about what you do not want. It starts with one negative thought, then another and another. Like attracts like. Negative thinking gains in momentum just as a snowball rolling down a hill gets larger.

Positive thinking IS just as easy as negative thinking. We just have to learn to make it a habit.Then we will think powerfully and positively about what we want to include and create for ourselves. We can positively influence the outcome when we think, feel and act to make good things happen.

your only limits

If you want to turn things around you need to turn your thinking around. You have to let go, drop the negative thoughts, turn your back on them and affirm what you DO want. You need to spend the balance of your time thinking healthy, positive, ‘can do’ thoughts.

As has been said, ‘If you want to enjoy enduring success you must travel a little bit in advance of the world.’ Or as the Boy Scout motto proclaims, ‘be prepared.’ Positive thinkings IS affirming what you want. It is positive self talk. Create a positive snowball with its own momentum. Like attracts like!

Start now so you condition yourself and make it a reliable habit for when you need it.  It is not something you do only in a crises it is something you do daily. ‘Luck is the crossroads where opportunity and preparedness meet.’ So prepare today for tomorrow. One positive thought leads to more positive thoughts. Keep at it!

Do You Create Or Destroy?

“This image has been making the rounds. It is an important one. Our words affect others! What we say does impact others mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. We should always be careful what we say. Negativity breeds more negativity and stress. There are consequences. Our words can lift someone up or our words can crush someone.

We can be and we should be sensitive and only speak words that bless, heal and prosper others. We should seek to only say the best, the most positive, the most nurturing, the most comforting, the most inspiring and the most motivational words we can express.

What we say and HOW we say it is important!  Seek only to bless, to heal and to help others prosper with what you say to them. This helps them and it helps you.

The Golden Rule means that you hold the other person (and people) in the highest esteem and wish them the best whether or not they do the same towards you. You pay it forward first without caring about the return. When you do this you not only benefit them but you bring benefit to you! The same is true with forgiveness.

You may need to forgive someone who died long ago. Your forgiveness may have no effect on them because they are gone but it may affect you in great ways.You may find peace, more comfort, even release. You may be able to move forward, after letting go.

You might feel free, more love and happiness because you forgave. In this example tt isn’t about the other person responding to your forgiveness (if you can get over that concept with living people) it is about freeing yourself. Forgive and your life becomes better.

Send out positive vibes to others, first for no reason at all, with no expectation of gaining anything, and YOUR life will become better. Pay blessings forward to everyone and everything becomes more wonderful. THEN apply this principle to yourself.

We not only speak to others but we talk to ourselves too. We hear our own self talk and it affects us in all the same ways. We feel down when we criticize, blame and speak harshly to ourselves. Take heed and apply this lesson to you.

Only speak that which will bless, heal and prosper yourself because you always end up feeling and doing whatever it is you think and tell yourself anyway.

do good and good will come to you

Consider that YOU are the other person you talk to. You know that person you say ‘you’ to, as in, ‘ how can you be so…’ or , ‘you really are…’ You know those less than glorious things you have said to yourself in the past.

If you say you are broke, or that life sucks guess what is reflected back in your life. If you state, ‘well I am only commenting on what already is’,  then remember this, YOU will always have what you say you have!

You certainly won’t have more than what you state. You words will reflect your conditions AND your conditions WILL reflect your thoughts and words!

Nothing changes since you are commenting and reinforcing what you don’t like. You aren’t creating anything different you are keeping it exactly the same. Your comment does nothing to bless, heal or prosper.

Your words do nothing to create any kind of different present or future for yourself. This is precisely why we need to change our thinking and our speaking.

Start thinking highly of you. Treat yourself with respect and think the best of yourself. Love yourself, be kind, supportive, caring, nurturing and only speak words that bless, heal and prosper YOU.

Thoughts precede words and actions, therefore, we should place a guard before our thoughts, and on our lips before we speak and a guard for our actions. We should make it a point to think, speak and act with the highest, most positive intentions towards others and ourselves.

Treat yourself and others as you would an innocent child. You would never want to bring hurt or harm to our precious young ones. It is important to love and care and nurture a child and move them in positive directions.

It is important to be open, caring and sensitive. You want the best for the child. OR at least you should! I have no difficulty stating that. Bless, heal and prosper our children.

When you do this for yourself and others, when you treat everyone, including you, exceptionally well things open up and become magically different. When you hold all in the most positive, high, regard your world will delightfully transform. You will become more free. You will be happier and healthier and have less stress. Things get easier!

You will experience more peace and joy. More of everything will open up to you because YOU are opening up and inviting good things into your life.What you focus on you get back. Birds of a feather flock together.

Stop! Have You Ever Considered This?

“It takes some courage to change. It takes courage to try new things. It takes courage to make our dreams come true? Really, courage, why do you suppose that is? Why does one need to be brave to do something in one’s own best interests? Have you ever thought about that?

I think the only reason it takes any courage at all is because we are used to doing things in a certain way. We are creatures of habit. We have routine. Many of us don’t want to be uncomfortable or inconvenienced.

Instead of diving in and enjoying the novelty, the newness, the adventure, we dip our toes, we make back up plans, we look for safety nets instead of just letting go. We will change but ONLY so long as we can be assured that it will work or at the very least that it will not get worse.

We want it cushy. We want to know we won’t lose everything if we invest our all. We want it both ways. We want our cake and to eat it too. Nope, there is no ‘burn the ships behind us and do battle’, for most modern people.

There are stories of warriors who cut off all escape routes so that running away was not an option. The soldiers had to fight or die. Okay, it takes courage to burn your escape route so you fight more fiercely! Too many people, it seems, don’t do or die, they do and maybe try something else if it doesn’t work out.

I’m pretty sure this comes as a handed down notion. My parents always told me it was important to have a backup plan incase acting didn’t pan out. I hated that notion but I too was indoctrinated with it.

‘A house divided against itself cannot stand.’ How can you passionately ‘all out’ pursue your dreams non-stop if you keep thinking, ‘if it doesn’t work out I can always go back home’. OR ‘I can fall back on my degree.’ Or ‘I’ll give it a couple of years and then if nothing I can at least…’ Back up plans. Hmmmm.

I am not saying don’t have them that is your decision. I just think it is difficult to run a race to the finish line while thinking about what you might do instead if you don’t make it there. You can’t really have one foot on the dock and another on the boat and get any place worthwhile, can you?

what you allow is what will continue

One should be totally aligned, congruent, committed, passionate in the pursuit a definite worthwhile positive goal. So yes, change may be a tad scary. It just seems a whole lot better to decide to definitely make the positive changes and then completely follow through on them than to remain the same and complain about it.

The world won’t fall apart if you make a positive change for yourself. You may be inconvenienced for a little while but you will survive it. BUT yes you will shake some things up. You can not change and remain entirely the same. You can NOT have it both ways.

Change may mean giving up some cherished notions. It may mean abandoning those habitual limiting beliefs and fears that have held you back. It may mean finally giving up those things you have always wanted to anyway! You will be better off when you do. It will mean turning your back on some old ways and continuing to walk away even while the old ways call out to you.

Someone said success takes ‘back bone not wish bone.’  It means you stick with it until you make the new ways a habit. Then the new powerful attitude, the new beliefs and feelings and behaviors that serve you so much better become as reliable as the old ways. It will be meaningful to finally resolve to be who you want to be. Change doesn’t have to be scary it can be fun.

Heck, if it is too difficult or too scary then do just enough to stretch bit by bit in the direction you want to move in. This isn’t actually a race. You are not in competition with anyone else. This is you and your goals and dreams. This is you living your purpose. You are allowed to take as much time as you deem necessary to get where you want to go. It is completely up to you.

Success is defined as ‘the steady progression toward a worthwhile goal’ so as long as you are moving in that positive direction you are succeeding! Keep that in mind. You are succeeding when you are devoting your time to becoming the person you hope and dream and plan to be.

No matter how much disappointment or failure you may have had in your past there are still many things you do that you are successful at. Keep that in mind. You are good at some things, many things. Whatever you are good at today, you weren’t always. It took time and practice to get good. AND you did it! You will succeed at making positive changes too when you decide to!

“Would you like to be able to make some positive behavioral changes and keep them? Are there some behaviors you would like to be able to cut down or stop completely? Could you use more self-control? If you answered yes to these question there is a simple thing you can do.  First, keep in mind that we think is important. Everything first begins with our thoughts. We speak those thoughts to ourselves, out loud and to others. What we think and say is important. We become what we think about.

Take responsibility for the behavior you want to stop or start. Don’t blame or criticize yourself for doing it. Realize if you are going to stop it YOU are going to stop it. If it is going to happen it will be up to you! It is not up to anyone else. You must stop being a victim of the behavior and realize you are the person who performs the behaviors. You decide whether or not you will do something. You are in charge. Stop thinking and saying ‘you can’t’ help it, or that you can’t stop it. If you can’t do something it means you are powerless. You want to and need to claim your power.

If you want and need to become more powerful YOU need to begin to think of yourself as powerful. You have to see yourself and tell yourself that you are in charge. You have to act like someone in charge.You want to develop a mind set that you can and will do what you want. You can and will do what you say you will and you will keep your word. Various research concludes that people who say ‘I don’t’ instead of ‘I can’t’ had more positive behavior changes because they had more self control.

If you think and say, ‘I don’t eat chips’ instead of ‘I can’t stop eating chips’ the difference is two fold. First, you become a person who does not engage in the particular behavior. You are a person in power and control. That is part of your identity. Second, as a result of the first reason, the behavior does not control or determine your future YOU do. When you are not the type of person who does something you don’t do it. When you are in charge, when you have control, when you make the decisions everything is different. You become the person who does or does not do something rather than letting behaviors determine what you are able to do.

Feel free to add that you are the kind of person who ‘can’ control behaviors. YOU can make decisions and stick to them. You don’t let snacks (or other habits) govern you. You are the kind of person who IS able to control your behaviors. So you will. How we think about ourselves and what we say has an incredible impact on what we are able to do and not do. Thoughts lead to actions. Govern your thoughts and words and you can govern your behaviors.

Decide to be in charge of your life. Think and say those things that move you forward. Think and say only those things that heal, bless and prosper you and others. Realize who you are, what kind of person you are and what you are able to accomplish. Think it, say it claim it! BE IT!” Rex Sikes

Why Your Friends And Colleagues Are Important!

“Invest in your relationships. Nurture your personal and professional connections. Surround yourself with people that make you feel incredible. You can be more awesome when the people around you help you feel awesome. You can’t be your best if some people are making you feel less than glorious. You get further faster with support.

You may have to choose to not spend so much time with those people who bring you down. You may need to be a bit selfish with your time and space in order to spend it with those who uplift you. Don’t be rude about it. Be gentle, be kind and simply withdraw your presence gradually over time. Spend your time elsewhere bit by bit. It will always be your decision to let them back in at some time.

Wish them the best in your mind, your word and your deed as you choose those other people who can help you fulfill your purpose. Always wish everyone the best! Make it a point that most every person around you is someone that you chose to keep around.

Nurture and care for the important people in your life young or old but seek those who inspire you and challenge you to be your best. Don’t just choose like minded people who want to keep you the same as they are. Choose those who help you to stretch and develop your talents, abilities and resources. Surround yourself with those who help you to discover yourself and help you believe in yourself.

It is our network of people who help us move ahead. We cannot do everything by ourselves nor should we try. We should connect and network and form strong healthy close ties with good people. We need to care for the people in our lives and stay close to our loved ones, family, friends and associates. Together we are stronger!

We want people in our lives who accept us as we are while allowing us and encouraging us to grow. It is important that this goes both ways. Be certain that you accept them and allow and encourage them to grow as well. Relationships are based on mutual reciprocal support and nurturing.

be the type of person you want to meet

It is important that you give first what you seek in return. Be the same kind of best friend you want for yourself. Be the loving, strong family member you want in return. Become the person you want to meet and include in your life. Accept others and they can accept you. Inspire, help, motivate and support everyone in your life.

Be grateful for everyone. Even the ones you may let go of. Every person in our lives, intentionally or not, offers us opportunities to grow and see aspects of ourselves we may otherwise not. Every person is a much needed mirror to reflect back to us who we are and what we value.

From those closest to us to strangers we randomly meet each shows us ourself and is a valuable asset to us. So be grateful for each and every person and the challenges and opportunities they present us with JUST be being themselves.

When you are incredible to be around you will attract back into your life incredible people. Make the other person feel marvelous first. The easiest way to do this is to feel wonderful. When you first feel awesome you can help them be more awesome . They can’t be their best if you are making them feel less than glorious. So think and feel and behave your best.

Birds of a feather flock together. Like attracts like. You get what you focus on. When you are positive and all your thoughts, words and deeds bless, heal and proser those kind of people will be attracted to you and come into your life. Others who you may need to let go of may simply spend less time with you all on their own and seek the company of those more similar to them. It is amazing how it works.

SO live by the Golden Rule! Hold all people in your mind and heart in high esteem and with respect and you will be surprised how wonderful life becomes and how many new doors open for you.” Rex Sikes

You Have Been Lied To! Change Isn’t Difficult. It Is Easy!

“Have you tried to change something and found it difficult? Did you give up because you thought it was too hard? Are you living other than you want to because you may attempted to be different but have not yet succeeded? Do you realize those attempts speak volumes to you?

Begin to look at them and examine them and see that they were necessary for you to learn many things. Whether you actually learned them or not the possibility existed. In every challenge there IS the seed of opportunity. In every failure there is feedback. You only have to be open and look.

Many people give up because they believe it to be hard. They expect a rough road. The can’t see past the difficulty to a brighter day. Therein lies the issue. If you expect it to be tough it is far more likely to be tough than if you expect it to be easy.

Our mindset, the beliefs, the perceptions, the biases, the past experiences we go to when we evaluate future actions shape how we perceive the future and our success. Our own thoughts prevent us.

When we believe something to be easy and that we are able to accomplish it effortlessly we may encounter challenge. If we believe we can handle any challenge and make it through then we most likely will. After all, it is all only in our heads! It is whatever we think or decide it will be. Our own thoughts see us through to a success!

If truth be told, it is actually easier to change than most people think it is. It is easy. It is truly, very easy! Since many don’t think so they make it tougher than it is. People think changing their thinking is not all that easy. It is! It really, truly, actually is.

You are only replacing a thought with a different more productive thought. You are only making a different decision to think something or do something or feel something else! You are not stopping something, giving something up or making any sacrifice you are changing your thoughts like you change your socks. You switch them.

When you are watching television and you tire of a program do you struggle to change the channel?  Are you afraid it is too difficult and give up or do you simply use the control to look elsewhere for something you prefer more? You surf to something more enjoyable. Or do you sit there are fret, worry and get sad? Are you afraid to switch from one channel to the next? Is it so difficult to decide?

Do you see the folly most of us buy into? We think changing our minds is tough when in fact we do it numerous times each day. We change, we opt out of and into something else. The only reason you don’t actually have to force yourself to change channels and you may force yourself to eat better, or think better IS because of your pre-conditioned thoughts about each. You know you can do it!

You don’t give changing the channel (or your socks)  it a second thought but you have stories, and excuses, and reasons, blah, blah, blah about a time/s when you tried something and it didn’t work out as you had hoped. STOP IT! Stop indulging in useless, less than glorious, non-productive thinking. Just stop it! Put the excuses to rest.

Change is easy! It can be easy. Once you do it change gets even easier. Since birds of a feather flock together and like attracts like, if you think it is difficult you produce more of the same kind of thoughts. You get one bad reason, one poor excuse after another.

The same will be true if you switch your thinking to more productive, powerful, positive thinking. You generate more productive, powerful, positive thoughts. IT DOES work both ways. You get more of whatever you focus on. You  become what you think about. It gets easier and easier!

IT IS EASY! You decide to do it and you do it! As you do you will discover it getting easier and easier. Eventually you get into the flow. So stop fighting it and give in. Give up the excuses and go with the flow. That is easy! It is actually easier than you THINK it is BECAUSE you only think it isn’t. Do you understand how silly it is for you to think it is tough? It is ONLY a thought that is stopping you.

You want to be in charge of your thoughts and not have them in charge of you! SO decide, take control, take charge and begin making the positive changes you want to make. You are only changing the channel from a less than glorious story and bevy of excuses to a more positive powerful story.

You make these kind of decisions and changes each and every day. Make them again in your own best interests. It IS easy. You will find it so when you get it going. You will discover a momentum as you move along. BUT nothing wil change unless you decide to do it now! It is completely up to you! Don’t wait. Make it happen today!” Rex Sikes
